   Summary

   Due to her father's horrific abuse, the future emperor of Adrestia is an extremely timid soul, who tends to rely on her loyal retainer to communicate for her. And she ends up harboring an intense admiration for the tough, yet kind sniper of the Black Eagles house.

   Or, in layman's terms, this is a berniegard roleswap AU. And Bernadetta's dad is even more of a colossal piece of shit, which causes all five factions of the monastery to unite against him.

   (FYI, the first 8 chapters were posted before Three Hopes came out and revealed that Bernie's dad is named Gregoire. But I did go back and edit the old chapters to replace my headcanon name with his official one. Previously, it was "Oberon")
