It was all over.
The latest Holy War had ended.
It had been halted by that traitor to the Demon Clan, Meliodas, with the Goddess Clan traitor Elizabeth by his side! Not to mention those who had assisted them in breaking the curses placed on the so-called lovers; the ones who called themselves the Holy Knights and the Seven Deadly Sins. At least one of those foolish miscreants who stood at the front of it all, a human in possession of a divine ability had fallen, giving up their life to defeat the Demon King.
As if that wasn’t enough, the daughter of Belialuin had gone and awakened the power of Chaos itself, as well as defeating its destructive will incarnate! And the human ruler of a ruined kingdom now served as Chaos’ new vessel; he even had the nerve to call himself the King of Chaos as well!
So much potential wasted on achieving peace! It had been difficult, but orchestrating the Holy Wars with the begrudging help of the Demon King was worth every sacrifice; and punishing their impudent children who had dared to stray from destiny felt so delicious. What a shame then, that both the Goddess and Demon Clans had been sealed away in the end, stripped of their corporeal forms.
It did not matter how they had done it. None of them would ever manage to understand the true meaning of the mortal world. The game was not over. Far from it. All that needed to be done was acquiring fresh new pawns to bring into the fold. Pawns no one would ever think of expecting.
Soon they would all see the truth, as it would make them vanish from every plane of existence! Soon they would face the holy might and wrath of the first Goddess, the Supreme Deity!
