Chapter Text
After finishing the episode Sera appeared on the screen again. “Hello guys. There is a little change in plans.” This caught their attention. “You guys are going to take a break before watching season 4.” When she saw their faces she explained. “My assistant and I thought it would be overwhelming without a break. In the meantime you’ll watch a show called “She-Ra and The Princesses of Power”. I won’t be here for the time being, my assistant Anita will be in my place. Let me introduce you. ”
They nodded but Carmen was still wondering about what would happen to Gray. He would be okay, right? Player interrupts her thoughts by a supportive hand on her back. His eyes say whatever happens they’ll fix it.
A curly-black haired girl appears on the screen. “Hey guys. I’m Anita. I use she/her pronouns. For the next few days we will watch She-Ra together. Don’t worry its really fun. There is some similarities with your lives too. So any questions?”
There were several.
“How much time watching this will take?” Carmen asks.
-I binged watched it in four days, so it will probably take a week with the breaks.
“Why did you say it was similar to us?” Player questions.
"Oh how can I say this without giving spoilers? Well, like VILE there is the Horde in here. It’s somehow more evil than VILE, I don’t even know how. Our main character also grew up there and haven’t noticed the true intentions yet. But I can’t give any more spoilers, you’ll learn soon enough anyways. Also there is a character called Shadow Weaver in the Horde, she is like the mix of Coach Brunt and Professor Maelstrom” Her hands were doing all sorts of gestures while she spoke. She also couldn’t not roll her eyes at the end.
A booing came from Zack, meant for Shadow Weaver. Anita laughed, she was clearly enjoying this. “Ah, yes. She sucks. As the fandom we hate her guts.”
-What did she even do?
Anita mumbled something like what she didn’t do. Then she cleared her throat and said “No spoilers, sorry. Also there is a character that is just like the ACME chief. But good news is she is slightly more bearable than her.” Carmen raised her eyebrows at that.
"How so?" Gray had asked the question they all have been thinking about.
-Well… She was more fun although it wasn’t intentional. Like I said she’s just slightly better. Any other questions?
“Do we still get the breaks or…” Ivy started before she was rudely interrupted by Zack, which earned him a punch.
–What about lunch breaks? Oww! Ivy!
Player and Gray started laughing. Soon were both silenced by Carmen who was smiling fondly at them meanwhile Zack rubbed his arm.
Anita nodded her head at Zack’s question. Since there were no more questions she started the timer and they went for lunch. After an eventful lunch, which may or may not include Dadowsan being overprotective over Carmen, they went back to their places. After they sat Player began teasing Gray about it.
–Come on, admit it, you chickened out.
-Well mate, kinda hard to not ‘chicken out’ when it’s Shadowsan.
-Rightt, if you say so.
Their voices got tuned out while the lights went out, indicating that it was starting.
Scene opens at fright zone
Adora is tying her ponytail, getting ready. She is fighting and brushing her teeth at the same time Adora, mimicking gunshots: pew pew.
“Cute.” Ivy says while the others chuckle.
Adora talking to the evil princesses poster: hey princess, you looking at me (kicks it) Voice over PA calls squadrons to training. Rogelio, Kyle, Lonnie and Adora show up; Catra doesn’t. Adora whispering: psst anyone see Catra? (Lonnie mumbles idk) ughh not again.
“Ha, someone’s a slacker like Tigress” Gray says chuckling.
“Please, like you weren’t one too” she retorts while rolling her eyes.
Carmen laughs and Gray has the audacity to look betrayed.
Horde soldier: at attention cadets. Your simulation is about to begin. Here’s your scenario. You’ll be passing through the treacherous Whispering Woods to reach the heart of the rebel insurgency, Bright Moon. Your mission is to defeat the Queen of the princesses and liberate Bright Moon in Lord Hordak’s name. Where is Catra?
Adora: She will be here I promise.
Horde Soldier: mm-hmm. The Whispering woods is full of princesses. Vicious, Violent instigators. They will take you out if given chance. Don’t give it to them. Good luck recruits. (They enter the simulation) Bots start attacking them. Adora leads. Catra is seen up in the shadows. She growls and jumps.
Kyle gets eliminated: aw dang it.
Some starts chuckling at that and some, mostly Julia, Antonio and Ivy, feel a little bit bad for him.
Adora: seriously Kyle?
Lonnie: bra-vo.
Rogelio shakes his head no to Kyle. Upon the distractions bots get them cornered.
Lonnie raising her voice: Seriously, Kyle!
They all laugh at that.
Meanwhile team red are arguing about who is like that on missions.
Adora tells them to run. The hexagon floors Adora is on starts falling. Lonnie warns her and she runs. A bigger bot attacks them. Adora attacks back and takes it down.
Carmen looks impressed.
Catra comes in and pushes said bot into the gap on the floor.
“That is definitely annoying.” Player says. Carmen nods along.
Adora looks at Catra, not realising the floor she is on is about to fall down. Catra points at it and Adora falls, screaming, but she holds on to her stick, hanging. Catra looking down at Adora: Hey Adora. How’s it hanging?
Adora frowning: Catra. Did you really Show up late and let us do all the hard parts? That is low, even for you.
“Agreed.” Carmen says and the group nods.
Catra: Aww. You know nothing’s too low for me. (Laughing) (The author is blushing guys)
Carmen and Gray look at each other knowingly. Gray smirks, acknowledging they are on the same page at this.
Now come on, you look stupid hanging down there (Catra holds a hand and Adora smiles) (my shippp)
Adora climbs up.
Voice over PA says training is complicated successfully.
Scene changes to locker rooms. Adora takes off training gears. Catra comes next to her and laughs.
Catra: You should have seen your face. You were like, “Aah, no! Betrayal.” (Catra overexerts Adora’s mimics and Adora looks uninterested)
Player and Ivy start cackling at this.
Adora while putting on her jacket and belt: Oh come on Catra. We’re senior cadets now. I can’t believe you’re still pulling such childish, immature- Is that a Mouse?
Catra acting like a cat: WHAT where?
All of them were snorting now. “Aww look at her face” Ivy said pointing to Catra.
Adora, laughing: Are you ever going to not fall for that?
Catra annoyed: I don’t know. Are you ever going to LET IT GO? That was one time.
“Hey, It’s just like the time Carm ate Ivy’s chocolates! She was mad all week!” Zack starts but gets cut off by a punch. Meanwhile Carmen looks apologetically at Ivy who is trying to keep the smile off her face.
Gray looks kind of sad that he missed these events.
Adora: I know, but for some reason it sounds always funny.
Shadow Weaver (ugh): Adora. (She comes in looking all scary. Adora straightens upon hearing her voice and their smiles fell from both of their faces.)
“Is she… floating?” Tigress says questionably and front row nods still not sure whether they are imagining things or not.
Adora saluting: Shadow Weaver.
Shadow Weaver: You have done well. You’ve completed your training course in record time.
Adora pulling Catra to herself: Uh, well, that wasn’t just me. You know, Catra did too.
Carmen, Ivy, Player and Antonio smile at Adora for giving Catra credit.
Shadow Weaver (That bitch): Ah, yes. How someone as unmotivated as you completed the course in that time, I’ll never know.
Their smiles turn into a frown.
Catra: Always serving up those pep talks, huh, Shadow Weaver?
Shadow Weaver (Ugh): Silence! Do not be flippant with me, cadet. (Shadows surround Catra.)
Half of the theatre looks worried for Catra while the other half is getting frustrated at Shadow weaver. Julia looks like she wants to comment on this but decides against it.
Catra: Sorry, shadow weaver.
Shadow Weaver: Adora, walk with me.
They calm down at seeing she is okay. Still, it is tense.
Adora looks at Catra like asking if she’s alright, Catra rolls her shoulders. Shadow weaver (bitch) calls Adora again and Adora runs off to her.
Shadow weaver: Lord Hordak has been watching you. He thinks you are a fine candidate for Force Captain.
“They can get promoted? Mate that’s neat. Wish we had that back in the academy.” Gray says. The former VILE operatives nod along.
“Unfortunately, or fortunately for us, they like to be full in charge, they wouldn’t let anyone else lead and you know that.” Carmen replies.
“That I do, love.” Gray says putting his hands around her shoulders and smiling. She smiles back at him.
Adora, smiling: Really? Force captain? Lord Hordak said that about me?
Shadow weaver (Being her usual manipulative self): Oh yes. He sees great promise in you. In fact, he has elected you the honour of leading a squadron in the invasion of the rebel fortress of Thaymor.
Adora (stops walking): Thaymor? You mean we’re finally seeing active duty? (She smiles in the cutest way possible)
Shadow weaver: You are seeing active duty.
Adora: But I’ll be able to bring my team along, right?
Shadow weaver leaning down to Adora: Your team is not ready. They’ll only slow you down. (Shadow weaver starts walking away and Adora runs after her.)
“Actually they looked quite prepared except Kyle. And they do work better as a team so it would be more strategically accurate to bring them along.” Julia says. The front row and Shadowsan seems to agree.
“Wait- who is Kyle?” Zack asks clearly confused.
“The blond boy who got eliminated in the training, just a minute ago.” Player answers him while Ivy looks fed up with her brother.
Adora: Shadow weaver, with respect, they’ve been training hard for this too. And Catra, all she wants is to get out of there and prove herself.
Some smile at Adora for supporting her team while Carmen thinks she related to Catra about that before she left VILE. Before she understood what they were doing. This was just the beginning for these people, she wondered what would happen to them.
Shadow weaver (is it too late to say I hate her?): Then she should have worked harder to prove herself to me. This is what I raised you for, Adora. (Gives her a force captain badge) Now is your chance to prove yourself. (Adora takes the badge, shadow weaver holds her face while she continues to manipulate her) I saw talent in you the moment I found you as an orphan child and took you in. Is this not what you wanted since you were old enough to want anything? (My personal idea is it was Catra what she wanted)
“Okay, she is really getting on my nerves” said Carmen and obviously others agreed.
“She is a lot like Professor Maelstrom, ugh.” Gray said making nearly all of them groan in disgust.
Adora: Yes.
Shadow weaver: With you at the forefront, we will crush the Bright Moon Rebellion once and for all. Do not disappoint me.
“Rebellion?” Carmen questioned.
“Ah, maybe they are like us.” Replied Player.
“Should we have called ourselves that?” Ivy asked team red.
“Noo, Team Red sounds way better anyways.” Player replied again. And with that, it was a definite no.
Scene changes to Bright Moon.
Angella’s voice is heard while Glimmer is listening in: Send her in.
Glimmer, bowing: Your Majesty.
“She looks like the ‘evil’ princess in Adora’s poster” Player commented about Queen Angella.
“Ohh yes that’s her” Ivy replied. “She looks so different though”
Angella is sitting on her throne, clearly done with this (Because this has happened way too much): I’m told you disobeyed orders and led the Rebellion into a dangerous combat situation after you were ordered to retreat.
“So this is the rebellion.” Carmen states.
Glimmer: I was trying to protect a village from falling into the Horde’s grasp.
Some were surprised by that. Village? Sure, Horde was evil but actual villages?
Queen Angella: You were reckless and put yourself and the other rebels in danger.
Glimmer gets up, hands on her sides: Fighting is supposed to be dangerous. How are we going to hold our own against the Horde if we keep retreating? (She does some motions with her hands angrily.) Pretty soon, we won’t have anything left to defend.
“She has a point. They can’t afford to back down if they want to win.” Carmen said.
“Although I believe the queen also has a point.” Julia added. They nod and smiled at each other.
Angella also standing up: I’m growing tired of your back-talking Commander Glimmer.
Glimmer: Why did you even make me a commander if you won’t let me fight?
Angella, getting angrier and raising her voice: That’s enough! You’re GROUNDED!
“What?” Gray and Player asked at the same time. They were both shocked.
Glimmer: ughh MOMM!
The whole room was shocked.
“Well, that explains a lot.” Carmen commented.
“So what, she is the princess?” Zack asked just to be sure.
“Yeah bro, obviously.” Ivy replied.
Queen Angella: You heard me. Glimmer getting even more annoyed: YoU nEveR lEt mE dO anYtHinG!
Half of the room (including Team Red) were chuckling at this.
Angella: We’re not having this discussion tonight. You are embarrassing me in front of my royal court! (Btw I lovee this scene.)
Guards look at each other, probably questioningly.
Glimmer: Oh, I’M embarrassing YOU?
All of them were laughing at this point.
“Oh my, they are officially awesome!” Player said in the mere moments he was able to contain his laughter.
Queen Angella, letting her wings out: Go to your room!
Glimmer: I’m going! (She stroms out of the room)
Queen Angella sighs.
The laughter died down slowly.
“I sincerely hope they can work this out.” Jules said sadly.
“Don’t worry Jules. I’m sure they’ll figure it out.” Carmen answered smiling sincerely to the other woman.
Scene changes to Fright Zone.
Adora is staring at her badge in a balcony looking place. She puts it on. Catra jumps on her and she falls to the ground, Catra on top of her. (It’s their thing <3)
Carmen smiled at this cute moment.
Catra: What’d she say? Hey what’s this? (Takes the badge.)
Adora shouting: Hey! Give it back.
Catra (jumps off to somewhere higher): No way. You’ve been promoted? (Aww she looks so happy when she says that)
Adora: Well, kind of. I mean, yeah, I guess. Heh. But it’s not a big deal.
Catra, jumping down next to Adora, holding her by her sides and pulling her to herself before letting go: Are you kidding? That is awesome?
They are all smiling at this point. Player is pretty sure Carmen ships them from the look on her face.
We’re gonna see the World and conquer it. Adora, I need to blow something up (Does the cutest face, -ever. And she also purrs.)
“Conquering the world? Ridicul-” Chase starts and soon stops upon seeing the looks front row sent. They clearly don’t want this to be interrupted. Although of course they agree to him.
Adora: Umm… Catra: What? Adora: Shadow weaver says you’re not coming.
“Oh.” Comes from Ivy.
Catra: What? My time was just as good as yours today. What is her problem with me?
“She is right.” Gray says.
Adora: I mean, you are kind of disrespectful.
“She is right, too.” Carmen replies.
Catra, on the railing: Why should I respect her? (Yes queenn)(She starts walking on the railing) She’s just bitter that she doesn’t have any real power that doesn’t come from Hordak and everyone knows it.
“Who is Hordak?” Carmen asks.
“Not sure Red. Maybe the leader?” Player replies to her.
Catra: I guess it sure must be easy being a people pleaser like you. (She leans down to Adora’s face)
“Ouch” Gray says.
Adora, raising her voice: I am not a pe- Catra wait (Catra leaves, going higher) Ughh.
“Well, that sucks.” Carmen says. Ivy nods in agreement.
Adora gets an idea and smiles. She follows Catra.
Scene changes to where they watch the World.
Adora: Look, I’m sorry. I didn’t even think you wanted to be a force captain.
Catra: I don’t. Here, take your stupid badge. (She throws Adora her badge and wraps her tail around herself)
“AWW her tail! It’s so cutee” Ivy says snickering.
“Agreed mi amigo.” Antonio says while cuddling with Jean Paul.
Adora: Come on Catra. This is what I have been working for my entire life. I was hoping you could be, I don’t know, happy for me.
Catra, looking at Adora for the first time: Ugh, whatever. It’s not like I even care. I just wanna get out of this dump at some point before I die of boredom. (She lays down on the railing) I wonder what’s even outside the Fright Zone anyway.
Carmen could relate to that. Back then, she also wanted to see what was out there. She was really glad she left.
Adora holding a key: Why don’t we go find out? They started flying on the skiff.
Catra: I take it all back. You’re officially awesome. I can’t believe you actually stole a skiff.
“Woah!” Gray chuckled. “Didn’t really see it in her.” Zack nodded.
Adora: Borrowed. Please don’t make me regret this.
Catra: I’ve always wanted to drive one of these things. Here, give me. (Pushes Adora away from the control)
“Adora just asked Catra to not make her regret this and that’s the next thing Catra does.” Ivy said trying to not fall of her chair from laughing so much. “She is so chaotic and I like it!”
Team Red smiled at Ivy (being a gay mess).
Adora: Whoa, there. Save us enough fuel to get back.
Catra: That is a problem for future Adora and Catra. (And it was. Pain.)
Most of the theatre was laughing. “Oh they are perfect!” Carmen said in between her chuckles.
Adora tries to take control back.
Catra: I’m driving.
Adora: I want it.
Catra: Can’t have it. (Both shout) (I am smiling like an idiot right now, look at themm)
Adora: Let me.
Catra: Give me, I’m doing it. – Adora
All of them were smiling. Some were laughing and some found this cute. You could see from their eyes that they were shipping it, especially Carmen and Gray.
Adora: No. I got it. Whoaa Catraa!
They slowed down against the woods.
“Glad they didn’t crash. Our buddy Chase could never.” Player said jokingly.
Chase scoffed but really he was trying to hold his laughter down. The others smiled as well.
Catra: What is it?
Adora: I think this must be the Whispering Woods. They say there are strange, old monsters in there, and the trees move when you’re not looking. Every Horde squadron they’ve sent in there has never come out again.
“Oh, so the typical horror movie stuff.” Zack said before getting punched in the arm.
While Adora is frightened, Catra is exited.
Catra: Let’s go in.
Adora, even more frightened and shocked: Wait what? Ahhhh!
“Ah this is everything!” Carmen says while cackling.
“You would SO do the same as Catra!” Gray said to Carmen, smirking. She shooed him off while smiling so sincerely that someone in the room would think they were interrupting something special by just being there.
Catra: Woo-hoo! (There is some shouting and laughing. They speed up.)
Adora: Catra, slow down! (Catra frowns.)
“Oh Catra’s face! She is all like ‘Stop ruining the fun Adora!’” Ivy uttered while snickering.
Team Red and Gray joined her.
Adora: Catra, tree! Tree! (Adora takes control. They go upwards but she falls down.)
Catra: Adoraa!
“Oh noo!” Player exclaimed.
Carmen knew that would hurt.
Adora yells and falls to the ground. She gets up, groaning.
“At least she fell to a bush.” Zack said and Carmen nodded.
Adora: Catra? (Adora sees the sword. She starts walking to the sword.) Whoa. Cool.
“What!? A sword in the middle of the forest?” Player exclaimed in shock.
“That is strange.” Carmen replied.
Zack seemed pretty into it meanwhile the others looked surprized.
“Wonder what it has to do with the storyline.” Jules wondered aloud.
She touches the sword. Everything goes bright.
Female voice: Balance must be restored. (Flashes of Bright Moon is seen) Etheria must seek a hero. (She-Ra is seen and a baby crying is heard. Light Hope is seen.) Adora, Adora.
“Wait- What?” Player exclaimed again.
The theatre wasn’t expecting this.
Catra (in the cutest way possible and also on top of Adora): Hey Adora? Adora!
Adora, slowly getting up from where she fell: Catra? What happened?
“Oh, so she was dreaming?” Zack asks.
“I’m not so sure but probably.” Gray replies.
Catra: You fell out of the skiff after you drove it into a tree.
Most of the theatre laughed at that. “Ha! Just like my bro blaming me for the missing bagels, which he ate!” Ivy said pointing to Zack.
“Noo, come on sis you know I didn’t eat them!” Zack said basically shouting.
While the siblings continued ‘The Bagel Fight’ Carmen and Player grinned at each other, both knowing Carmen was the one who ate the bagels.
Gray saw this and he had to keep himself from laughing to not give Carmen away.
If you looked closely you could also say Shadowsan was smiling, well at least not frowning as much.
Adora pushes Catra off: No, you drove it into a tree.
Catra: Ah, up for debate. Let’s go. (They both get up)
They all cackled at this.
Adora: Wait. Where is it? Where’d it go?
Catra: What? Adora: There was a sword. It was right here. I tried to touch it, but it got really bright.
Catra comes closer to Adora and holds her face, worried.
Catra: Are you brain damaged? Don’t be brain damaged. Oh, Shadow weaver’s gonna kill me.
The laughter got louder.
“Catra is perfect!” Ivy screeched.
Adora: I’m not brain damaged. It was here, I saw it. (Adora gets Catra’s hands away from her face.)
Catra: Well, there’s nothing here now.
“How did that-?” Player starts but gets cut off by Gray.
“Maybe because it was a dream?” It comes off as a question.
“Still, I feel like it’s important somehow. That woman was so weird.” Carmen replies to them.
Catra: So, come on, let’s go. (Catra pulls Adora by her ponytail. They went on the skiff and got back to Fright Zone.)
“Ah, they are going back?” Zack says frustrated. He was expecting them to explore more.
Scene changes to Bright Moon.
Someone in the shadows is sneaking. The archer stops near Glimmer’s room.
Glimmer’ voice from afar: “Dear Mom, I know you’ll never read this,” [she is in her room, writing down a diary. Her voice gets normal]
“Oh no!” Carmen says clearly worried for Glimmer.
But I have to say it somewhere. I feel like you… don’t respect me. (She sits up)
Tigress snickers at this. She was gonna say something too but upon seeing the looks Team Red and Julia sent, she shuts up.
The archer places an arrow on his bow (oh, sorry that wasn’t intentional.)
The air gets tense. All of the theatre is waiting anxiously.
An arrow flies over glimmers head and hits the Wall. Glimmer shrieks.
“Oh he missed! That’s great.” Ivy stated.
“Ha, for a criminal mate has a pretty bad aim.” Gray said chuckling.
A note opens, that says “Look outside ;)”
“ What!?” Player asked just as surprized as the others.
“A message?” Carmen questioned, she was finally getting what was happening.
“With a winky face?” Zack said a little confused.
Glimmer groans and looks out the window.
Glimmer: Watch it you almost hit me. (Bow comes out of the shadows.)
“That’s not…” Gray started but stops upon seeing Carmen looking like she knows something. Instead he gazes at her admiringly. Definitely simping.
Bow, waving: Hey, Glimmer!
Glimmer: Shh! Bow what are you doing here?
“Ah. They are friends. It is… pleasant.” Shadowsan spoke.
Zack nodded eagerly.
Bow: What did you say? (He puts his bow and arrow away.) Come down here!
“How can she even come down there? There isn’t any ladder or rope in the place.” Chase declares.
“Maybe she jumps?” Zack tries.
“From that high?” Carmen questions Zack. He shrugs.
Glimmer: I can’t, I’m grounded.
Bow, shouting: What?
Glimmer whispering: I am grounded.
Bow, still shouting: What? (Glimmer makes her hand a fist, putting it down to the window.)
Team Red starts laughing at this, remembering a memory. Carmen and Zack had the same thing in one of their capers. Carmen being the exasperated one in this situation.
Glimmer: I’m... (She teleports next to Bow) grounded.
They all look taken aback and some gasps are heard.
“So that’s how she got down there!” Player exclaims.
Carmen nods mouth still slightly agape.
Bow shouts and they teleport back in.
Glimmer: Ughh. I’m so mad at my mom.
Bow: Is this about the siege on Elberon?
Glimmer: I was just trying to defend another one of our villages from falling into the Horde’s clutches!
While Glimmer is talking Bow is picking things up from the floors and tidying the place up.
Glimmer: She stationed me all the way out there because it’s too remote to ever get attacked.
“Oh that’s bad.” Gray says. Player agrees with him.
Glimmer: But then it did, and it was my one chance to prove that I can do this. But she acts like I can’t do anything because I’m just a princess. Ughh. (She teleports to her bed.)
“Aww I love the way she says it!” Ivy says already taking a liking to Glimmer.
Julia nods and smiles at her.
Bow: That doesn’t make any sense. Everyone here is a princess. I’m, like, the only one who’s not a princess.
Glimmer, groaning: Tell that to my mom.
Bow, holding a cloth: Hey, where does this go? (Couple goals, love them)
Glimmer: Bottom drawer.
“Sweet.” Carmen says amused.
“Indeed, amigo.” Antonio says approving.
Bow: Anyway, your mom might have a point. Only reason you got out of there is because of your teleportation powers, and, let’s face it, they don’t always work that well.
“So her powers has a limit? Intriguing.” Jules states.
Carmen nods along.
Glimmer: Looking for support here, Bow.
Bow, climbing the stairs and going next to glimmer: I’m just saying, if you wanna prove yourself it’s gonna take more than running recklessly into any old battle.
“That is precise.” Shadowsan states. Some nod.
Bow: Luckily, I’ve got just the thing. Check this out. I detected a piece of First Ones tech in the Whispering Woods. (Glimmer sits up) A pretty powerful one, too, by the size of these readings.
“It’s the odd sword isn’t it?” Carmen states.
“Probably Red. Maybe they’ll meet.” Player replies.
Carmen nods at the boy and ruffles his hair. Player tries to set his hair right. Team Red begins laughing at them.
(Glimmer looks at the tracking pad) Bow: If you find this one and bring it back, your mom is bound to be impressed.
Glimmer: Did you forget I’m grounded? (There is a knock at the door)
Angella on the other side of the door: Glimmer? Are you in there?
“Oh mate this is bad.” Gray exclaims.
Glimmer: Uh… (She teleports Bow out of the room and Bow falls and screams.)
Team Red and Gray begin snickering at this.
Angella: Glimmer? Glimmer: Everything’s fine, mom. Angella: Is someone else in there? I heard voices.
“Well not anymore.” Ivy states holding back a laugh.
Glimmer, half-opening the door: No one else is in here. Can you please just leave me alone?
Angella: I don’t appreciate your tone right now, young lady.
“Ah that is so irritating!” Tigress exclaims. “I hated it back then.” She continues.
“Back when?” Carmen asks her. Tigress considers for a moment afterwards she explains.
“You know, in high school, before all VILE stuff.” Carmen gives her a sad smile.
Glimmer and Queen Angella’s voices are heard from afar while we see bow on his tracker pad.
Glimmer: What tone?
Angella: That attitude is never gonna help you.
There is more mumbled out conversations then glimmer shuts the door of. She teleports next to Bow.
Glimmer: I’m in. (Bow was frowning the whole time until she said that)
“How to make someone change their mind in a second 101.” Player says in the middle of his laughter.
The theatre starts laughing at that.
“Good one Player.” Carmen says falling down laughing.
“Yess they are going!” Ivy exclaims after the laughter quiets down.
Scene changes to Fright Zone, the sleeping quarter.
Catra and Adora are sleeping on Adora’s bed. Catra on Adora’s feet. :)
“Aww look at her, she is sleeping on Adora’s feet. They are wicked cute!” Ivy exclaims.
“Yeah that’s pretty sweet. I like it.” Carmen answers her. She hugs Gray and smiles at him. Gray smiles back at her and kisses her cheek. Carmen hugs him tighter and whispers something inaudible.
Adora sees the sword and hears Light Hope again, while sleeping. She wakes up and sneaks of the bed.
“Dude this is getting even weirder.” Zack says.
Chase nods along.
Catra wakes up. Adora wears her jacket and belt while going out of the quarters. Catra startles her.
Catra: Hey, where are you going?
Adora: Back to the woods. There’s something I need to figure out.
Catra: What? You’re not- (Adora silences Catra and hides behind something with her while a robot passes.)
“That robot looks ancient.” Ivy mutters.
Catra: What is wrong with you? You’ve been acting weird since we got back.
“It’s definitely the sword.” Player says.
Catra: Are you sure you’re not brain damaged? (Holds Adora like the previous time.)
“Aww!” Ivy exclaimed.
“Ugh yes, they are cute, I know…” Zack started but he got interrupted by a punch he rightfully deserved.
“Ugh, siblings.” Player mumbled. Carmen shot him a glare while trying so hard not to laugh.
Adora: Look, Catra, I know I saw something out there. It just… I just need to get another look. It feels important somehow.
Catra: Sounds good. Let’s go. (She starts walking and Adora stops her. And this writer starts to question what would happen if she didn’t. Ughh)
“She is just gonna go with her, no questions asked? That’s really sweet.” Carmen said.
Ivy and Player nodded along. The former one beaming.
Adora: No. I don’t want you getting in trouble on my behalf. Just cover for me, okay? I’ll be back before anyone knows I’m gone. (She runs off.) (What a joke)
Catra: Adora! Adora!
“Ah Catra’s not coming? That sucks.” Ivy says sadly.
“I have a bad feeling about this.” Carmen mutters.
Only Gray hears this and looks at her concernedly. “What ‘bout it love?” He whispers.
Carmen looks at him dejectedly “They are separating their ways. Like… us.” She whispers back looking down. Her breath is shuddering towards the end.
Gray’s heart shutters in pieces, at his own fault. He is lost for words for the moment so he just holds her tight. Finally he speaks.
“I am truly sorry for not listening to you, not being on your side. I know I said this earlier and will say it again. I am sorry for everything I chose to do that hurt you.” He holds her face and kisses her forehead after she approves.
She holds his hands and hugs him. “I know Gray. I know.” Carmen mutters into his chest. They stay like that for a while.
The others on the front row and Shadowsan noticed the change in the air and they quietened down.
Scene changes to Whispering Woods.
Bow: Come on, come on! (The tracker pad is blurring.)
Glimmer: Ah, please. Tell me we’re not lost.
“They look lost.” Tigress states. Chase nods along.
Meanwhile the rest of the team red is thinking a way to light up the mood.
Bow: No, this thing is just acting up. Looks like its being overloaded by the tech’s signal. We must be getting close! (He starts walking away.)
Glimmer (She sees a bright light): Uhh… I think it’s that way.
Bow, struggling on the tracker pad: What makes you say that? (Glimmer points to the light.) Oh, yeah. That’ll do it.
“Yeah, so obvious dude.” Zack says laughing lightly, trying to lighten the mood.
Ivy smiles at her little brother and laughs along with him.
Adora who is also in The Whispering Woods talking to herself: What are you doing out here, Adora?
“Oh they are going to meet aren’t they? This is going to be quite a mess.” Player says.
“It’s going to be awesome!” Ivy exclaims while messing Player’s hair. He deters her attempts and scoffs at her.
Carmen notices them and smiles lightly. She nudges Gray to make him look at them. They both smile lovingly seeing their families' shenanigans.
Adora: Catra’s right, this is crazy. There’s no sword, you just got hit on the head a little too hard. You should just go back home and forget about all of this. (Then she sees the swords light. She keeps walking and sees the sword for the second time.)
“What a relief. I wanted them to meet so badly.” Ivy says.
“That will lead to complete chaos.” Player says back.
“Exactly.” She replies grinning widely.
Glimmer, from afar: Bow, just let me lead the way, okay?
“Oh boy here it comes!” Ivy exclaimed.
Zack laughed at her enthusiasm.
Bow: The light came from the edge of the forest. (They are getting closer and closer)
Glimmer: Yes, you saw the light. It’s this way.
Bow: The tracker pad says otherwise.
Glimmer, raising her voice: It’s this way- (I love banter) (they see Adora and all of them gasps.) Horde soldier!
Bow: I see her! (Both yell.)
All of them snorted at this.
Adora runs to the sword, Bow takes out his bow and arrow, Glimmer teleports to the sword. Adora leaps for Glimmer but Glimmer teleports away.
Glimmer throwing the sword to Bow: Bow, catch. (Bow drops his arrows but catches the sword.)
“That was strategically unwise.” Shadowsan stated. Julia nodded along.
Adora, running after the sword: Give me the sword.
Glimmer teleports on Adora’s back and pulls her ponytail while screaming.
Most of them chuckled at this.
“This is the second time Blondie’s ponytail got pulled. Hilarious.” Tigress says snickering.
Jean Paul glares at her. As an answer she hisses at him and laughs when Jean Paul backs down.
Adora, Throwing Glimmer off and doing a flip: Get off. (She throws something and bow falls and drops the sword.) Stand down. I don’t wanna hurt you.
Glimmer teleporting in front of her: Since when do Horde soldiers not want hurt anyone? (She throws a shiny beam to Adora. Glimmer tries to go for the sword again but Adora jumps to her. Bow jumps too, all three fight for the sword.)
“There. Complete chaos.” Player says trying to hold his laughter down.
Ivy snorts.
(Adora touches the sword and they are all thrown away. A bright light appears)
“So that was definitely not a dream.” Gray states.
Zack nods along.
Adora, in the crystal castle: What?
“The hell?” Player exclaims.
“Player!” Carmen practically screams.
“Sorry, mom!” Player says scoffing at Carmen.
“Really? Mom?” She scoffs back. “You rea-“ She gets cut off by Ivy who is just trying to prevent a fight.
“Okayy, maybe we should continue watching this peacefully instead of bickering huh?” She says.
When they scoff again she mutters “Oh boy.” silently.
Gray puts his hand on Carmen’s shoulder to calm her.
Light hope: Hello, Adora. (She appears.)
Most of them relives their shock because the bickering took their focus away on the first.
“Where even is she?” Zack exclaims.
“It’s the odd woman again!” Chase states.
Adora, standing up and stepping backwards: Who are you? What’s going on?
Light hope: My name is Light Hope. I have been waiting a long time for you, but I could not reach you until you forged your connection with the sword. (She glitches a little)
Most of the theatre was shocked and were listening carefully.
“She is a hologram? That’s wicked creepy.” Ivy says.
Adora: You sent the sword?
Light Hope: The sword is meant for you. (The swords hologram is seen) Etheria has need of you, Adora. Will you answer its call? Will you fight for the honour of Grayskull?
“What’s ‘Grayskull’?” Player questioned. Gray shrugged.
Adora: What are you talking about? What is- What’s Grayskull? You’re not making any sense! I don’t understand!
Light Hope: You will. (Ugh what a move)
“Ugh so cryptic!” Carmen said clearly annoyed.
Player nodded along.
Adora: Wait! (It goes all bright again.)
“This is all so weird.” Gray stated.
Adora wakes up next to Bow and Glimmer, hands tied.
“That can’t be a dream, right?” Zack asks.
“No, probably has something to do with magic.” Carmen says leaning closer to the screen.
Bow: Hey, She’s awake!
Adora: What happened?
Glimmer: Quiet, Horde spy, I ask the questions. (Glimmer has the sword) How did you make it this far into the Whispering Woods?
“She seems to be acting tougher than usual. That is a clever approach.” Jules stated.
“And hilarious.” Tigress says snickering.
Chase glared at Tigress who was sitting next to him. Which may not be the wisest thing since Antonio had to keep her from rearranging his face. Chase doesn’t really wanna know what would happen if he didn’t.
Adora, doing motions with her hands: I just walked in. (pffft) And I’m not a spy.
Team red snickered at this.
Glimmer, leaning on the sword: Sure, sure. You just so happened to find yourself in the Whispering Woods, like you just so happened to try and steal our sword. (Bow gets up)
“Pretty sure that doesn’t count as stealing.” Gray says chuckling.
Former VILE members and Carmen joined in the laugh.
Adora: It’s not yours. I found it first.
“She is right.” Carmen states trying hold a laugh in.
Glimmer: The Whispering Woods is under the Rebellion’s protection. You were lucky to make it as far as you did. Come on Bow, let’s get this spy back to Bright Moon where she can be interrogated properly.
“This won’t be good for Adora, will it?” Zack says.
“Maybe. But it’s good for the plot.” Player answers him.
(This is legit how I excuse myself from now on)
Glimmer takes Bow away for a second.
Glimmer: This is perfect. Not only do we have First Ones tech for the Rebellion, we’ve also captured a Horde spy. My mom’s gonna be so impressed. (Raising voice all sudden) Now come on, on your feet.
“Her voice change is so wicked awesome!” Ivy exclaimed.
Zack smiled at his sister fondly.
They walk in the woods for a while.
Bow: You positive we’re going the right way, Glimmer?
Glimmer: I know what I’m doing, Bow. Can you please just trust me for once?
Bow: You know I always trust you but I’m starting to get a little freaked out. I mean, I pretty much grew up in these woods and I’ve never even seen this part of them. I’ve heard stories about weird stuff out here.
“He grew up in the woods? That’s wicked awesome!” Zack exclaimed cheerfully.
“Pretty sure you would starve in two days in there, bro.” Ivy said patting Zack’s back while he frowns.
“I wouldn’t even last a day sis.” Zack stated.
Team red started laughing at this and few moments later Zack joined them.
Glimmer: It’s fine, okay? Just let me figure this out. (She teleports away)
Bow: Okay! Touchy. (To Adora) Sorry about her. Usually she’s really nice. (He puts his arrows away) Not much for talking, huh?
“Why is she not escaping? Their guards are down.” Chase questions.
“She is probably still shocked from the hologram lady.” Player shrugs.
Adora: I prefer not to swap pleasantries with my captors.
“That’s fair.” Carmen says.
Bow, while helping Adora out: Fair. Suit yourself.
They reach to where Glimmer is standing. She teleports next to a tree.
Adora, a second after saying she prefers to not swap pleasantries with her captors: You know she’s a princess, right?
“Not even a second after. She is hilarious.” Ivy says snorting.
Carmen and Player laugh with her.
Adora: How can you follow her? Princesses are a dangerous threat to everyone on Etheria.
Bow: Is that what Hordak told you?
“He is handling it smoothly.” Player stated.
Gray nodded along.
Adora: Well I thought it was just common knowledge. They’re violent instigators who don’t even know how to control their powers. (Glimmer is unable to find the way. She screams out of frustration. Great timing honestly.)
“Great example.” Carmen said laughing.
Team red laughed along with her.
Bow: You’ve never actually met a princess, have you?
Adora: Ugh well, maybe not in person, but… (They hear Glimmer whimpering and they run to her.)
“What happened? Carmen questioned.
Just like Carmen most of the theatre looked worried.
They found her in a ruins of a town. Glimmer picks up a shard of ceramic.
The theatre was silent and the air was heavy. No one dared to talk. Some were questioning what did that to the town. Some knew it was Horde’s doing but they didn’t want to believe it. Was this what those soldiers were training for all their lives?
Adora: What happened to this place?
Glimmer: Don’t play dumb with me. I bet you were part of the raiding party that did this.
Adora: What are you talking about? The Horde didn’t do this.
“They did.” Shadowsan says scowling even more.
Glimmer pulls Adora to a bot that has the Horde’s emblem.
“Oh.” Antonio says sadly.
Jean Paul hugs him tighter.
Glimmer, pointing the bot: Oh yeah? You’re a heartless destroyer, just like all of your people.
Adora: I am not a destroyer. Hordak says we’re doing what’s best for Etheria. We’re trying to make things better. More orderly.
“Complete lies. Just like VILE.” Carmen scoffs.
Gray and Player share a look.
Player rubs her back, trying to soothe her.
Gray tightens his hand on her shoulder, supporting her.
Glimmer raising her voice: This is what’s best for Etheria? (The ruins are seen again) Ever since the Horde got here, they’ve been poisoning our land, burning our cities, destroying everything in their path. And you’re a part of it! How’s that for orderly?
“Ouch. That was harsh.” Gray mumbles.
Adora: This doesn’t make any sense. The Horde would never do something like this.
Bow: Did you really not know any of this? I mean, your army is called the Evil Horde.
Adora, voice raising: Who calls us that? Bow, making a motion with his arms: Everybody!
They all laughed at this even though it was still tense from Glimmer and Adora’s argument.
“They would have a great friendship. I just know it.” Player declares still laughing.
“YESS they would make a wicked duo!” Ivy and Zack exclaim at the same time.
“Jinx!” Ivy yells making Zack groan in frustration.
Adora: The Horde rescued me when I was a baby and gave me a home. They’re my family. You- You don’t know them like I do.
Bow: Maybe you don’t know them like you think you do.
They hear Glimmer shouting.
"Oh what is it this time?” Chase exclaims with worry.
Julia looks at him and smiles a little. This calms him down.
Glimmer teleports and comes running, holding the sword.
Glimmer: There’s something out there. Something big.
“A robot?” Gray says guessing.
Bow: How big? (The ground rumbles and a monster-y thing comes out) Oh.
Most of the theatre feels confused and worried.
Gray, Zack and Player screams in panic. Carmen and Ivy, who are sitting between them, grimace.
Ivy punches Zack’s arm again. This time both for breaking the jinx and nearly deafening her ears off. Zack winces.
Bow: So, pretty big then.
Zack and Chase chuckle.
The creature shrieks. They are all on the floor as the creature attacks them.
Bow: Watch out (The creature attacks Glimmer but she teleports out of the way and attacks it back.)
Adora steps back but her foot gets stuck, the creature comes for her.
“Oh shi-” Player starts but soon cuts himself of upon seeing Carmen’s glare.
“She is in danger.” He says trying to fix it. Carmen grins at the boy, definitely not buying it. He grins back.
Bow protects her with his arrows. Glimmer attacks the creature with magic but it throws her away. Bow shoots an arrow to keep the creature in its place. Adora frees her foot and sees the sword on the floor. Bow and Glimmer got thrown to a tree. No one was saying anything, they were all watching intensely. Adora takes the sword, she sees Glimmer and Bow are cornered.
“This is bad.” Gray mutters breaking the silence.
“She will help them, right?” Zack asks worried about Glimmer and Bow.
“Might be a little hard with her hands tied up.” Carmen answers.
Adora: Hey, bug brain! (She tries to hold the sword correctly but her hands are tied.)
“Yeah!” Ivy cheers.
Adora: Come on magic sword. (She drops the sword and holds it in her arms.) Ohh, where’s a blinding flash of light when you need one? (My favourite line, ever)
The theatre gets filled with laughter.
Carmen and Player almost fall down laughing.
Adora screams upon seeing the creature fastly running towards her. She drops the sword again. The creature reaches her. She manages to hold the sword up. She sees Etheria and hears Light Hope’s voice.
“This again?” Tigress questions.
Light Hope: Adora. Adora. Adora. (A baby crying is heard.) Will you fight for the honour of Grayskull? (Echoing “honour of Grayskull?”)
“What is going on?” Player says nearly screaming.
Adora: For the honour of Grayskull! (ahhhhhhhhhhh the first transformation!)
Lights glow and Adora is now She-Ra. The creature calms down.
She-Ra is seen in a closer look. The screen goes black. Credits start playing.
“WHAT?!” Player screams.
“I- I don’t understand.” Carmen mutters.
“What… is going on?” Ivy says while Zack looks like he has lost the ability to function.
“How did mate- ?” Gray says with shock.
There are more questions like these, expressing their astonishment.
A blue light shined and Anita appeared on the screen.
“Hello again guys. How did you find the first episode: The Sword Part 1?” She asks cheerfully.
“It was great and all but WHAT was that ending? Gray asks still in shock.
“Yeah I am so confused and Zack here seems to have lost his ability to function.” Ivy says pointing to her brother. “What was that?” she continues.
“Well, that was She-Ra, princess of power. And the sword is hers. It’s called the sword of protection. Her duty is to basically protect the planet.” She answers Ivy.
“But how did Adora not know she was She-Ra?” Carmen asks her.
“Uhh… She-Ra isn’t just one person. So there were more She-Ra’s before I guess. Also like, you know the chosen one trope.” Anita says.
“So, what’s your thoughts?” She asks them.
“I liked the world building and Catra & Adora were so sweet-“ Carmen starts and gets interrupted by Ivy who is trying to hug her but only manages a halfway beacuse of Player between them.
“They were so cutee! Catra and Glimmer were wicked cool too. What a duo they would be if they met.” She says.
“Yeah, totally.” Anita nods along, holding back a grin.
“It was really fun. I wonder what is going to happen next though. Can we skip the break?” Player says looking at the others.
“Sure.” Gray replies.
“Why not.” Carmen says. The others nod too.
Player looks at Anita and she nods smiling. “Have fun! Here starts: The Sword Part 2!” She exclaims and disappears.
The lights goes out and the episode starts. Silence fills the theatre with anticipation.
