Chapter Text
Izuku has been dreading this exact moment ever since he was told about it last week. Everything in him screamed that it was a bad idea. His omega had been restless beyond belief, and he knew his alpha felt the same way. But standing there in their bedroom, they didn’t have a choice. Tomura’s bag was packed, and he was going to be summoned away any minute, and they wouldn’t see each other for weeks.
Tomura may have been trying to mask it for Izuku’s sake, but his smile was tense with irritation as he pretended to tease Izuku.
“You’re worrying over nothing, Izu. My stats are way better than those fuckers we’re going after. It’s just some commission asshole. I’ll get rid of them, gain some XP, and I’ll be home before you can say Super Mario World.”
Izuku rolled his eyes with a groan, burying his head in his mate’s chest. “Stop being annoying. You haven’t gone on a trip in months, and I just don’t want you to leave.”
Tomura snickered but held him closer to hide his nose in the omega’s curls. “What a needy little omega.”
“Shut it, or I’ll take my scented hoodie back,” Izuku growled, showing off his tiny little omega fangs as he pulled back.
“You would never. You’d get all worried I didn’t smell enough like you, as if any other omega is going to want my crusty ass.”
“I actually think you’ve got a nice ass.”
Tomura rolled his eyes, feigning annoyance—but his scent told a different story. Izuku loved that about him. His alpha could be an ass, teasing all the time and rarely taking anything seriously. But Izuku was so attuned to Tomura’s scent. The alpha always smelled like rain hitting dusty cement on a summer morning. It was musky, strong, and rich. When he was happy, though, or teasing—something sweeter was there, like freshly-bloomed flowers during a rainstorm.
From Izuku’s research over the last few years of being with the League, he knew it was a holdover from Tomua’s grandmother. A former hero and female alpha, Shimara Nana. She had a floral scent, too, noted in the many files that Izuku had found after digging around in the massive amount of data the League had.
Learning she was a hero had been hard to cope with, making Izuku’s image of heroes deteriorating over time. For the most part, he was still unsure how he felt about heroes. Tomura, however, had far worse opinions about heroes. The alpha was furious when he learned more about his past, remembering so much throughout the last few years.
Nana had every reason to give up her pup, trying to save him from the lives of heroes and villains. Izuku understood, as an omega himself, he’d thought about it before. He couldn’t imagine bringing a pup into this world, knowing what could happen to them, living a life like theirs. It made sense she gave up Kotaro, but it messed with Tomura.
Izuku had to work hard at that time to pull Tomura back from the edge, desperate to destroy the world. If it hadn’t been for the omega, he would have destroyed everything in his path. He’d changed, though. Izuku softened him.
Tomura, despite his softer edges around his omega, was definitely still a villain. Even if he only did things to keep Sensei happy, he still did them. He had to go on missions all the time, leaving for days at a time with other League members to do whatever needed to be done.
It never got any easier.
“I hate this,” Izuku said with a sigh.
Tomura snorted. “What happened to the teasing?”
“Not in the mood now,” he grumbled. “I hate when he sends you on these stupid missions. He’s using you, y’know?”
“Nah, I’m Player 1, and you’re player 2. He’s just… the narrator dictating the game.”
“Well, I hate it. Can’t we, like, break out of the game? Go on our own quest.”
Tomura suddenly went rigid, pulling back to glare at him. “Watch it, Izu. If anyone hears you say that, it’ll put you in danger. Your life is more important than this bullshit.”
“Maybe I just want more for our life than being underlings to an insane megalomaniac on a journey of world domination…”
“I know you do,” Tomura said as he pulled back and kissed his forehead. His lips were chapped but warm and familiar as they sent a shiver down his spine. His omega purred at the attention, the alpha forcing his scent to push away the sadness to comfort Izuku. “We can’t just do-”
Tomura was cut off when the door opened, both of them tensing up immediately. Tomura’s scent immediately flared with dominance and anger, pushing Izuku behind him just in case they’d been overheard. Izuku peaked around him, seeing who burst into the room.
Both of them sagged with relief when they saw it was just Dabi.
“You two better be fucking careful. If anyone but me had been outside this door, you’d be fucked. Or probably killing some shitty nobody.”
Izuku stepped out from behind Dabi and shook his head. “No. No killing, remember?”
Dabi smirked, walking over to ruffle Izuku’s hair. His scent was sweet, much like more omegas, and it was sugary with amusement, the black licorice easily overtaking the smoky pheromones he usually put off. “It’s cute. You think we can just stop.”
“You know what I mean, no unnecessary killing. Whatever you have to do in self-defense to be safe is different than killing someone to keep them quiet!”
Tomura chuckled, pulling Izuku back into his arms and rubbing his scent gland over the omega’s curls. “What would we ever do without our little moral compass?”
“Don’t joke about that. You’re a good person, Tomuchan.” Izuku pouted.
“Only because of you, pretty baby.”
“Would you stop teasing me, you’re about to leave, and you’re using our precious time to make fun of me.”
“I’ve still got time,” Tomura bickered back.
“You don’t actually,” Dabi said with a roll of his eyes, sitting down on their bed. “Boss said you gotta go.”
“Fucking fine,” he grumbled before turning to focus solely on Izuku. He stole his lips, a passionate kiss as they fit together like puzzle pieces. Tomura’s tongue ran against Izuku’s lips, stealing his breath too. He grabbed the omega’s hips and grinded against him, his cock hard as he deepened the kiss.
Izuku pushed him away, though. “Please be serious about this, you know I hate these missions. You could die, and the last moment we’d have together would be you rubbing your boner against me! I’m scared, Tomu!”
“I’ll be fine. I always am. The only person who could ever fucking kill me is on our side, mostly, so stop worrying.”
“I will never stop worrying. I don’t like being here alone, and I really don’t like when you go on a mission.”
“I know, just remember the rules. Stick to Dabi, don’t let anyone in our room, and if Sensei tries to meet with you, don’t go alone,” Tomura growled, suddenly serious.
“The pipsqueak will be fine,” Dabi drawled. “You know I’d never let anything happen to him.”
“Yeah, that’s why he stays with you. I mean it, Izu. Even at night. I have a weird feeling about this time.”
“What?!” Izuku shrieked. “You’re telling me now? seconds before you leave?!”
Tomura shrugged. “I’ve never been a planner, baby. Just be safe.”
Izuku glared up at him but threw himself back in Tomura’s arms for one last embrace. “Be safe and come back to me, alpha. I love you.”
“Love ya too, omega. Don’t do anything stupid.”
No one in the room mentioned the sniffles or who they were from as Tomura gave him a final kiss, grabbed his duffle bag, and made his way out of their room and through the rest of the compound. Izuku could hear his steps echoing through the concrete walls as he got farther and farther away, frozen as he listened.
He let out a startled yelp as he was shocked out of his stupor, being pulled down into his nest on the bed as Dabi rolled them into a comfortable position.
“Let’s fucking nap,” Dabi whined.
Izuku snorted, wiping away the sudden tears from his cheeks. “You know, for an omega who claims not to have those instincts, you sure do like my nest.”
“It makes you feel better, and right now, you smell like shit. I hate it when you stink like you’re some depressed omega.”
“I am some depressed omega. What do you want me to do about it?” Izuku groaned, surrendering himself to the cuddles as he wiggled into Dabi’s arms.
“Obviously, you should just stop being depressed, duh.”
“I hate you,” Izuku giggled.
“Nah, you don’t. You’re practically my fucking pup.”
“You’re only 29, dummy. You’re only 11 years older than me.”
“Meh, whatever. Same thing. I feel fucking old,” Dabi groaned, burying himself into the pillows.
“You should take better care of yourself.”
“Tch, no way. Rather take care of you and your moron alpha.”
Izuku smiled, his cheeks flushing red. The affection was still so surprising sometimes, even after five years. He was only thirteen when he got here. Dabi wasn’t even a regular League member at the time. He just popped in every once in a while to help out. But that first time he saw Izuku, miserably rolled up in a ball in the back booth of the bar, he started coming more regularly.
Dabi slowly approached him after a bit, becoming Izuku’s first friend. He remembered it all painfully well. The dread of being sold to some alpha, living with a bunch of villains he didn’t know, only for the alpha to give him to his 17-year-old son. The first year was a living hell, but with Dabi and eventually Tomura, it came to be his home.
He hated his father for what he’d done and his mother for letting it happen, but then he wouldn’t have the best mate in the world. Sure, Tomura wasn’t what every little new omega wished for, but he loved and cared for Izuku deeply. He’d changed over the years, softening to the world as he saw it through Izuku’s eyes. And the omega hardened up, faced with the reality of the world, he grew to fight against the system. Even if it was only through Tomura.
His alpha was incredibly smart and fast, listening to all of Izuku’s analyses and taking them to heart as he went out into the world and took down heroes.
Izuku didn’t always like doing it. Truthfully, he spent many nights awake thinking about the families of the people Tomura had killed with his help. But he did his best to rationalize it. If Tomura didn’t kill for Sensei, then he’d have them both killed. And Izuku wouldn’t let Tomura go out there without help.
So maybe Izuku was directly responsible for the deaths of some rival villains and a couple of heroes. And he hated what he’d become. But he would do it all over again for Tomura.
And that thought always got him through the spiral. He would bear responsibility for his crimes if it meant his alpha got to come home with him.
It didn’t stop the tears from dripping down his cheeks, though, as his scent of rain and mint turned sour and musty. Dabi just purred, not one for comforting words as they stayed in his nest. It was nice and the best way to spend their afternoon after Tomura left on one of his outings for Sensei.
Izuku was just starting to feel better when suddenly his stomach flipped. A deep pain of abandonment flooded through him like never before. He was always a little distraught when his alpha left, and his omega was always unhappy. But this was different.
Everything felt wrong.
“D-Dabi, please. Help.”
“What's wrong?” Dabi slurred, half asleep.
“I don’t feel right. Everythings wrong. I-I’m going to puke or die, please please help,” Izuku whined, grabbing at his stomach as cramps started to ache around his whole body. Everything hurt. His heart felt like it had shattered, and he thought his stomach was about to rupture in half. And that was nothing compared to the deep wave of nausea.
Izuku threw himself off the bed, running to the bathroom attached to their room. It shocked Dabi out of his sleep, running after him to sit by him as Izuku emptied the contents of his stomach into the toilet. It helped a little, but he felt like shit. Totally exhausted and achy. But oddly enough, he had no fever. His stomach just hurt, and his omega was sobbing.
“Shit, what’s wrong, Izu?” Dabi asked, pleading in his voice as he grabbed a wet washcloth to wipe Izuku’s face.
“I dunno, somethings wrong. I-I feel like I’m about to go into a drop. I need my alpha, please. Need him now or- or I’ll die. Please.”
“Izu, he’s already gone. If we call him back, we’ll all get hurt.”
“No, no, no,” Izuku started to babble. “Please, I don’t feel good.”
“Fuck, I know,” Dabi spat back, losing his patience as he got more and more worried. He eventually stood up, cradling Izuku in his arms as he carried him back to the bed. “Try to sleep. It’s probably the flu or stress from Tomura leaving. You’ll be better tomorrow, okay?”
“No, Dabi, please. I’m going to die.”
“You’re not, now come here,” Dabi coaxed, pulling him into his scent gland as he pumped out calming pheromones to get Izuku to rest. It took forever for him to stop crying, his body heaving and sobbing until finally, he calmed down.
But it was exhausting, and soon enough, Izuku passed out. All energy zapped from his body as he started to snore.
It was nearly twelve hours later when he finally woke up, and Izuku had hoped and prayed that he would feel better. And he did, for about half the day, until another intense wave of emotion and nausea hit, and he was puking up his guts again with Dabi fretting over him.
“Alright, yesterday I made an excuse but not today. We’re going to the clinic.”
“No! We can’t go there! I hate using the League doctors. And Sensei can’t know I’m weak or sick. He’s always looking for a way to get rid of me.”
“You moron, I mean a normal clinic. We’ll go to some shady free clinic, and they can give you some flu medicine or something. Get dressed, and I’ll sneak you out.”
Izuku groaned but went along with it. He really needed to take care of himself because Tomura would flip out if anything happened to him. So he begrudgingly got dressed in a hoodie and a sweatshirt and followed Dabi until they found Kurogiri.
The man smiled, sort of, as he welcomed them into the bar. Thank god they were the only people there. Kurogiri was a good man and loyal to Tomura to a fault after the heroes gave him back some self-control.
“Dabi, Izuku, what can I do for you this afternoon?”
“We need to go to that clinic on the other side of town. Izuku’s sick, and no one needs to know.”
“Understood. Feel better, young one,” then he opened a portal and gave them a slight bow.
Izuku and Dabi said their goodbyes before rushing through and walking out into an alley. It smelled horrific, triggering another wave of nausea that had Izuku doubled over as he puked again. Dabi rubbed his back, attempting to soothe him until he was done and they could walk into the clinic.
It took nearly an hour to get into a back room and another hour for a nurse to come back with any results from the tests they’d done. Izuku had given blood, peed in a cup, and did a throat culture. Then they waited, Izuku laying back on the medical table as Dabi rambled on about some new lackey he hated.
But the nurse they expected to see wasn’t who opened the door. Instead, it was the clinic doctor. “Hello, sorry it took a while, but with these tests, we always want to be sure.”
“O-Of course,” Izuku stuttered out. “What did you guys learn? Am I alright?”
“You are! We actually have great news for you!”
“What the hell?” Dabi spat at her, standing up and getting between them. “He’s sick. That’s not great news. The hell are you talking about?”
“Well, of course, that wouldn’t be great news,” she backtracked, stepping to the side to look at Izuku. “But luckily, you’re not sick! You’re pregnant!”
Suddenly, the world stopped.
“W-What did you say?”

Chapter Text
Izuku was sure he must have heard wrong. There was no way he was pregnant. They were always so careful. Sure, he wanted a pup, maybe someday in some perfect world where they weren’t controlled by an evil villain like Sensei. But there was no way he wanted one this early.
The doctor looked between them, her smile waning. “You’re pregnant. It looks like you weren’t trying to be, though?”
“No, no, no,” Izuku mumbled, his hands covering up his face as he bent over himself in agony, his stomach nauseous for the 100th time over the last couple of days as he felt his whole world spinning.
Dabi quickly turned around, his scent calming him as he held him close. “Izu, it’s fine. Everything’s fine. Breathe, okay? We’ll figure this shit out.”
“No, there is no figuring this out,” Izuku whined. “H-He’ll take them. Kill them or me or something!”
Izuku let out a sob, and Dabi squeezed him tighter. They were both trembling, Izuku out of fear and Dabi out of rage. The tension in the room was palpable—the silence heavy as tears flowed down his cheeks.
Both of them jumped when the doctor pulled over a chair and sat down. “If you want, I can get some… other materials for you? About your options? It’s not uncommon in this part of town for a pregnancy to be scary or unwanted. I know people here have hard lives. As your physician, I’ll do what I can.”
“N-No, I won’t put a normal person at risk. You can’t help me.”
She shook her head. “I can help at least a little. Stay here for just a moment, and I’ll get you whatever I have. Okay?”
Izuku nodded, pulling back from Dabi as he wiped the tears from his cheeks. The doctor tried to give him a reassuring smile as she left the room, silence returning as Izuku stared down at his little stomach.
He couldn’t see a bump there, but the bulky hoodie would have hidden it. He hesitantly moved his hand to cradle his tummy, feeling around for anything. For some sign that maybe it wasn’t real. Izuku didn’t even know how far along he was. It definitely made no sense, if he was too early along, then he wouldn't even have a pregnancy belly.
But he moved anyway, his hand coming to feel around his stomach, sliding under his hoodie to feel his skin. He didn’t think he felt anything, but it was still different. There was a life in there. Izuku wanted to deny it, but something inside him told him it was true. His omega started to purr the moment she said it. But Izuku still felt sick at the thought.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to pup. If he was truthful with himself, a little baby Tomura would be the most precious thing in the world. They could raise them with the loving family that neither of them ever had and give them a goodlife.
It wasn’t that easy, though. Sensei owned them. And he would own their pup too.
Izuku didn’t want to bring a baby into that world, but fuck, he wanted them. Even if they were just a little lump of cells, he wanted them so badly.
With the doctor out of the room, the only buffer was gone as his fear and vulnerability took over. Izuku let out a horrible cry, his distressed scent filling the room as he wrapped around his stomach protectively. He needed Tomura. Needed his mate.
Dabi was there, though. Pulling him into his arms so Izuku could bury his head in the man’s neck and inhale his sweet scent. It usually helped, but suddenly it felt like nothing could help. It felt like he didn’t have a choice, no matter how much he wanted it.
Whispers echoed throughout the room, barely audible over Izuku’s sobs as Dabi cooed at him. “It’s okay, Izu. We have choices. We’ll figure it out. We’ll call Tomura and take the doctor’s shit, and we’ll fucking handle this, okay?”
“B-But I want them! So badly! But they could die! He would take them. We both know it. He’d use them against Tomura. I don’t even have a choice, do I?” Izuku asked between shuddered breaths and cries.
“We fucking always have a choice. Otherwise, why be fucking villains. We can do whatever we want. If you want them, we’ll make that happen.”
Izuku shook his head wildly. “No, no, no, we can’t do that. I don’t want them to have a life like we did, surrounded by people who only want to use them. I-If I ever had a pup, I’d want to give them a good childhood and a real life.”
“Then you’ll give them that. Don’t make any decisions yet. Maybe Tomura will just kill the old man, and we won’t even have to worry about it.”
“Please,” Izuku snorted. “He couldn’t do that, and you know it. It would bring the entire underground after him. Sensei has rebuilt his reputation too much. Tomura is practically just an underling.”
“Well, fuck, Izu. I’m trying to help. Let’s just take her educational shit and go home? I’ll keep you safe till Tomura gets back. And we’ll figure it out then.”
“That’s still like two weeks from now.”
“Fuck, I know. But we can keep a secret, right?”
Izuku took a deep breath, sitting up a little straighter but never moving his hands from his stomach. “Yeah, we’ll keep it a secret. M-Maybe we can make it work.”
“Who knows, maybe for the first time in our shitty lives, we’ll get lucky,” Dabi said playfully, nudging Izuku to get him to smile.
“Yeah, maybe. Thanks for talking me down.”
“No worries, it’s my job. You were already the pretty, emotional one, being pregnant is just going to make you crazier. It's my job to be the asshole with no feelings.”
Izuku was about to shoot back some more sarcasm when the doctor walked back in, carrying a few bottles of pills and a whole folder of information.
She smiled and started handing them over. “I brought everything I thought you might need. These are scent neutralizers to hide your pregnancy scent when it comes in. These are prenatal vitamins. And last, here’s some anti-nausea medication that should help with the morning sickness.”
“Thank you. I-I appreciate it.”
“It’s fine, honey. This is a regular occurrence, and you have nothing to worry about. Here’s a folder as well with everything you need to know about your first trimester as well as information on your other options like termination or adoption.”
Izuku grabbed the folder and held it close to his chest. “Really, thank you so much.”
“You’re very welcome. Let me know if I can do anything for you.”
“I will! Uhm, I didn’t get your name, though.”
“I’m Doctor Shuzenji. And don’t worry, I won’t ask yours," the young doctor said with a smile. Izuku could have sworn he'd heard the name before, but he shook it off.
Izuku laughed, an awkward chuckle as he scratched at the back of his neck. “Thanks. You really must get a lot of people like us…”
“If you mean everyday people who just need some help, then yes.”
“Right. And one last thing… you said first trimester?”
“Yes. I’d say you're somewhere around 10-12 weeks along based on lab results.”
Izuku nodded, counting the weeks back until he groaned. “My heat was just about three months ago.”
“That would explain it. Even the most careful omegas struggle with birth control and conception around their heats. And you have unusually high fertility rates. Honestly, at first, I assumed you were trying to get pregnant because of it.”
Izuku’s brows furrowed. That didn’t really make sense, but when Dabi’s phone pinged, he didn’t have time to muse over it.
“Kurogiri said we need to get back. The bar is getting full.”
Izuku nodded, standing up from the medical bench and grabbing his things to follow Dabi out. Doctor Shuzenji gave them one last final wave as they made their way out, both of them covering up with facemasks and sneaking out of the office back into the same alleyway and into one of Kurogiri’s portals.
It spat them back in the bar, a few other league members hanging out. They all waved and smiled but went about their business. Izuku figured they could smell his distressed scent. They knew to leave him alone when he was like that or face the wrath of Dabi or Tomura, so they left them alone to sneak into the basement and through the massive hallways into the underground compound.
But just as they thought they were free, a few of the braver souls approached them. Spinner and Himiko walked up, Izuku giving a weak smile.
“Hey, guys. I’m alright, don’t worry.”
“You look awful, Izuku!” Himiko pouted. “And not the pretty kind like after training when you’re all sweaty and beat up!”
Izuku lowered his voice so no one around would hear him. “Just a little sick, guys. I’m fine.”
“Sick? Should we warn the boss?” Spinner whispered back.
“Don’t worry, lizard boy,” Dabi snorted. “I’ll make Izu tell Tomura. You two just cover for us. People probably noticed we left. If anyone says anything, tell them we were shopping or some shit.”
Himiko nodded and gave a salute. “You got it, Dabi!”
“Be careful,” Spinner whispered before returning to the bar.
Izuku and Dabi then made a quick escape through the rest of the compound. They hurried the whole time, but it wouldn’t have been obvious to anyone else. The last thing they needed was to draw suspicion. But the moment they were both back in Izuku’s and Tomura’s room, the door latch echoing behind them, all of that fake composure melted away. Izuku’s knees trembled, his scent releasing in the safety of his alpha’s den. He scrambled into the nest, grabbing a blanket that smelled so much like Tomura as he squeezed his eyes closed.
Dabi just slowly joined him in the nest and held him, cradling Izuku’s stomach as he spooned him from behind, pulling Izuku’s back against his chest.
The comfort was so fucking welcome. Izuku was safe enough to be vulnerable once again. He’d always been a crier, but after years of living with manipulative villains like Sensei, he’d learned to curb much of that unless he was with Tomura or Dabi. They managed to easily break down the walls he’d built up over the years.
Izuku didn’t need to protect himself from them. They would never put him in that kind of position. They would never use his feelings against him, never make him feel ashamed for breaking down. So he stood firm in front of the others and only cried when he was with his family.
So, he let it all out. Tears streamed out of his eyes as if he was trying to save the world from drought. His head throbbed, and his heart raced—choking out sobs that made it harder and harder to breathe.
Dabi purred, holding him tight and trying to talk to him. “Izu, come on, don’t cry. I know this is fucking scary, but you’re gonna be fine. You’re fucking spiteful as hell and the smartest person I know. If anyone can figure it out, it’s you.”
“No, no, no,” Izuku cried, shaking his head and gripping the blanket in his hand so tightly that he ripped it.
They both tensed up, the sound of the tear echoing off the walls. Izuku’s sobs died down to staggered breaths, and Dabi didn’t dare to speak. The room was silent for a moment.
Until Izuku let out a cold, dry laugh. Throwing his head back and chuckling. “That’s fucking great. So great. I-I can’t believe how accurately that sums up the situation. It’s all just being torn apart. If we have this pup, it’ll be torn away from us.”
“I know you’re freaked out, but you’re fucking Shigaraki Izuku. You don’t know what’s going to happen until you sit down and plan it.”
“Of course I do!” Izuku snapped, rolling over in the bed to fix Dabi with a glare. “Sensei is evil. You saw what he did when he tried to literally take over Tomura, didn’t you? Imagine what he would do with a pup now that he’s learned his lesson!”
“We both fucking know you’d never let that shit happen,” Dabi said with a roll of his eyes, pulling back to talk.
“We don’t know that. Anything could happen. And I want them to have a good life. Not one filled with pain and manipulation at the hands of that fuck face.”
“Give yourself some credit. You wouldn’t let that happen.”
“I couldn’t do anything about it if I was dead! Or if Tomura was dead! He could start over with a brand new successor.”
“Just- Fucking think about it.”
“I am thinking about it! I’m thinking about how much I want to meet them and hold them. How fucking small they’d be. Maybe they’ll have Tomura’s longer, looser curls. Black hair and big green eyes. Or maybe they’d get my freckles and his red eyes. They’d giggle and smile, and we would give them a better life than we ever got.”
Izuku’s eyes glazed over with thoughts of their pup. He was staring up at the blank ceiling, but he was seeing so much more. They could buy a little crib, the cutest little baby clothes, and those tiny shoes he’d always thought were adorable. They would pee all over him, spit up all the time, but they would smile, too. Their pup could give them a better life worth living, stuck in that damn compound with one of the worst men in existence.
“You should keep thinking about that,” Dabi said. He’d rolled over to his side, holding Izuku’s hand as he also looked up at the ceiling.
“It hurts,” Izuku gritted out, trying to stay angry to keep from crying more. “Every time I think about how they’d feel in my arms, I think about what it would feel like to have them torn out of them.”
“There's a way to do this shit, Izu. Plenty of villains have pups.”
“It has nothing to do with that.”
“It does. And you’re scared.”
“Of course I’m scared! Why are you questioning this?! You know just as well as I do that Sensei would never let us keep this baby.”
“Because you’d be great fucking parents! We all grew up like shit! My dad was an abusive, entitled piece of shit, Tomura was raised by that fucking tyrant, and your father sold you! Imagine the life you could give them!”
“What do you think I’m doing?!”
“You’re wallowing! And I get it. It’s fucking scary. Your years here have been fucking rough, to say the least. But you’re fucking tough and smart, and so is Tomura. And he’d fucking kill for you. Imagine what he would do for your pup.”
“I-I don’t know, Dabi. I just don’t!”
“Don’t give up on something you want out of fear, damn it. Aren't you supposed to be the best of all of us?”
Izuku shook his head, curling his hand in his sleeves to wipe away the tears. “Y'know, Tomura might not even want them. We’ve never talked about pups. This is a big fucking deal, and you’re acting like the choice should be easy.”
Dabi let out a groan, rolling over to finally look at Izuku again. His eyes were full of so much emotion, and his scent was heady with frustration and desperation.
“This is such a fucking shitty thing to say, but if I could have a pup, I would. I would have figured out how to raise a pup with that fucking Keigo. But the world didn’t work out that way for us, but it can for you.”
Izuku shook his head and moved closer, cuddling again as the tears dried and Dabi’s anger melted the pain away. He wanted to break the tension, nuzzling closer as he let out a light giggle. “I am better than you. You burn everything you cook. What kind of omega are you?”
Dabi snorted. “I hate you.”
“No, you don’t.”
“Oh yeah? I’ll prove it." Then he dug his phone out of his pocket and immediately called Tomura, putting it on speaker.
“What the hell?!” Izuku whisper shouted, grabbing the phone to hang it up. But he was too slow, his alpha’s gravelly voice spilling out of the phone like music to Izuku’s ears.
The omega purred at Tomura’s voice, melting deeper into the nest. ”Dabi? Izu? The fuck is going on? It’s only been like two days. You know you’re not supposed to call, dumbasses,” he snorted. Izuku could imagine the fond smile on his lips and the way he’d roll his eyes when he was pretending to be annoyed.
"Nothing’s going on, just needed to talk to you. I- Uhm, I’ve been sick, I guess. Kurogiri is probably going to tell you because he helped Dabi and me go to the doctor today."
”Shit. Alright, you know the rules. Don’t fucking leave your room, don’t go see Sensei, and don’t let anyone else find out your sick.”
Izuku smiled as his alpha growled. He was possessive and protective, but he had good reason. Sensei had tried to get rid of him more than once. When he originally got Izuku for Tomura, he hoped to use the little omega to control the erratic alpha. But Tomura only got more unruly, hating Izuku at first until falling madly in love with him. For a while, Tomura fought everything Sensei did, wanting to rule alongside his omega.
But then Sensei made his move. Several assassins came after Izuku when he was only 16 years old—some getting scarily close to succeeding. Sensei pretended to be innocent, but everyone knew they were warnings.
Nothing was the same after that. Every move they’d made over the last two years was calculated for safety, doing their best to keep Sensei happy but also at arm’s length.
It worked. But moments when Izuku was especially vulnerable were always a risk.
Dabi, however, laughed at them. “You’re both idiots. I’ll keep him safe, but he’s got other shit to say. Don’t ya, Izu?”
"I do. But maybe it can wait? How’s the mission?”
“Fucking annoying. I hate this covert bullshit. What the fuck is the point of having informants if they can’t do all the work. But that’s boring. The mission is just a fucking cut scene. What do you need to tell me?”
“Well, uhm-”
A knock echoed off the door, making both of them jump. Dabi and Izuku looked at each other, glances narrowing in suspicion for a moment before the older omega subdued his scent and wandered over to the door.
”You cut off, baby. What’d you say?” Tomura asked.
“J-Just a second, someone knocked on the door.”
Dabi opened it, and his shoulders sagged in relief when he saw Kurogiri standing in front of one of his portals.
The man’s wispy, blue form looked hesitant, though, as he bowed slightly. “I’m sorry to inform you both, but Sensei has requested a meeting with Izuku.”
Izuku’s veins turned to ice, tensing up as if he was frozen in place. He only barely heard Tomura’s protests.
”Fuck that, he doesn’t need to see the old man. He can fucking talk to me when I get back.”
“I’m sorry, masters. But it seems I have no choice,” he said as he opened a portal and gestured towards it. “If Izuku doesn’t come, I fear the outcome could be worse. I was promised he only wanted to check on Izuku’s health. He somehow found out that he’s ill.”
Dabi stepped between them. “He’s not going,” he growled, his omega scent of smoke burning through the halls as he lit his quirk up, blue flames flickering around his arms and illuminating the gray and white furniture in their bedroom.
A cold voice echoed from the portal behind Kurogiri. “Luckily, he doesn’t need to.”
Sensei stepped through the portal, wearing a well-tailored suit and his breathing apparatus. He fixed his cufflinks, and Izuku could practically feel the cruel smile from where he was sitting in his nest.
The omega barely kept from growling himself, only just remembering not to shield his stomach when All For One spoke...
“How nice to see you, Izuku.”

Chapter Text
All the fear from before disappeared in the face of cold, unbending danger—not gone but hidden under the surface. He couldn't afford to be afraid as Izuku immediately controlled his scent, reeling it in to try to keep everything close to his chest. No one had scented pregnancy on him yet, but this would be the worst possible time for his pheromones to act up.
So he did what he always did, smoothed his scent into nothing more than a morning in the wilderness, crisp and clean and clear.
Izuku sneered at him, crawling out of his nest and approaching his bedroom door. He didn’t want to be anywhere near the evil alpha, but he didn’t want him anywhere near his nest either. He grabbed Dabi’s hand and pulled them out into the hall, Kurogiri and Sensei stepping back to allow them to exit. He closed the door behind him with a slam, turned around, and leveled a glare at the man.
“Sensei, you really didn’t have to come down here just to see me. I know you’re a busy man.”
“Nonsense. My son’s mate is sick. What kind of father-in-law would I be if I didn’t come and check on you? Do you think so little of me?”
“Of course not,” Izuku gritted out, making no attempt to mask the lie in his words.
“I am quite happy to see you’re alright, though. From what I was told, you looked awful when you got home from your little trip to the doctor. The medicine they gave you must have done wonders to make it… go away.”
Izuku almost flinched. He fucking hoped he was just paranoid and imagining things, but it sounded so much like Sensei knew.
“It wasn’t anything too special, just some stuff for my stomach bug. Anti-nausea medication? I don’t remember what it was called.’
“Mm, of course. Well, that’s wonderful to hear, little one.”
Izuku growled. “Please don’t call me that.”
“Oh, my apologies. I forgot it’s what your mother called you. Have you spoken to her lately?”
Truthfully, Izuku hadn’t. Ever since his father sold him, and his mother let him, their relationship had been ruined. Over the last five years, their communication dwindled.
Sure at first, they talked a lot. He was a scared 13-year-old being given to Sensei and then Tomura, a seemingly violent and terrible alpha. He called her crying every day.
But then he grew up, and he saw what she did, how she never tried to improve their lives or save either of them.
It hurt worse with a pup in his tummy. He couldn’t imagine ever letting anything happen to them. He understood she was afraid, but she was neglectful, complacent in years of abuse, and then the later abandonment. So, maybe he didn’t talk to her anymore. But Sensei didn’t need to know that. He already had too much leverage and information over Izuku—he didn’t need anymore.
“It’s been probably a month, but our last check-in was nice.”
“I’m sure she’d be pleased to hear your news,” Sensei smirked.
“N-News? I’m not sure what you mean.”
“You and Tomura’s most recent mission success, of course. He took out several heroes last month with the help of your analyses.”
“Right. Of course,” Izuku sighed, relief coursing through him despite the wave of anxiety simmering below.
“Would you like to walk with me? I’d love to discuss your role in an upcoming meeting. It’s time I use you to your fullest potential, don't you think? You have no reason to hide from me now that I can see your usefulness.”
Izuku’s face twisted up in anger, the fear shrinking away in the light of the man’s blatant disrespect for Izuku as a goddamn human being. It was easy to be scared. He knew what Sensei was capable of. But more than that, the asshole infuriated him. Who the hell implied shit like that? Izuku was far more than what he was useful for.
“I don’t particularly want to be used, sir. No offense. And I’m still quite sick.”
“I’m sure you’ll be fine. Didn't you say the doctor prescribed you?”
“Yes, but I should really return to my nest.”
“Mm, omegas are weak, I suppose,” Sensei said, waving Izuku off.
Izuku clenched his fist, not even needing to restrain the fear in his scent as he grew more and more furious. Nothing made him angrier than being talked down to.
“It’s more like I’m concerned for your well-being. Izuku gritted out. "My alpha, your son, would probably be furious if I got hurt.”
Sensei’s demeanor shifted with the threat. His aura got all the more intimidating, the pressure around them feeling like the hallway was about to collapse. Dabi stepped up, putting right next to Izuku.
“You should watch it, boss. This shit could get ugly, y’know? Your kid is a fucking loose cannon.”
“I was not speaking to you, Dabi.”
“So, what? I don’t get to throw in my two cents?” He asked, trying to goad Sensei into switching targets. Izuku appreciated it beyond belief. Normally he’d never let Dabi throw himself into harm's way to protect him, but with a pup in his tummy, he thought better of stopping him.
Still, Izuku couldn't help speaking up. “He’s just trying to warn you, Sensei. We all know who Tomura prefers here after all,” Izuku growled out, barely hiding the whine in his voice as he tried his hardest to stand up tall.
When the villain stepped forward, Izuku stayed rooted in his spot. His instincts begged him to cover his stomach, fighting the urge by biting down on his cheek so hard he drew blood, the taste or iron flooding his mouth as he tried to swallow it down.
“You should be more careful than that, Izuku. We wouldn’t want to see our precious Tomura unhappy if you took it too far.”
Izuku glared back at him, keeping his chin high as he narrowed his brows and tried to relax. He was about to spit something back, an attempt of turning the conversation to Tomura. But before he could get anything out, Izuku saw Kurogiri move from the corner of his eye.
The man waved his gloved hand with an almost imperceptible nod, and a portal appeared.
Both omegas tensed immediately, the scent of unadulterated anger wafting through, putting them both on high alert as Tomura stepped out of the portal. Despite the anger, Izuku loved his smell—heavenly and deadly, a beautiful juxtaposition that was so perfectly Tomura.
It would have made Izuku swoon if the situation were less dire.
And fuck, it brought back a lot of memories. Tomura could be a very angry alpha, full of righteous fury and protective pheromones with a hair-trigger temper. Izuku has smelled this scent on many occasions, but one in particular always stood out—the very first time Tomura had shown any sign of caring about Izuku. He remembered it as if it was yesterday, a terrible day that ended far better than it could have.
Five years ago
Izuku was sitting in the old bar that the League maintained. He spent a lot of time at the booth in the corner, taking online classes on his laptop and watching the patrons. Kurogiri kept him safe, and Tomura ignored him. But god forbid he try to leave. He’d attempted an escape enough times to know there was no point.
So he just hung out in the bar until a regular patron approached him one night. The man was drunk and handsy, trying to sit next to Izuku, who immediately ducked under the table to avoid him. He sprinted off towards the back room, thinking he was safe. But then the man barged him, threw him down on the cold, tiled floor, and tried to pull off his pants.
He was terrified—only 13-years-old, sold to villains, and about to get raped. But Tomura showed up and decayed the man in moments, his chest heaving and his blood-red eyes full of malice and disgust.
When Tomura reached out to take Izuku’s hand, he didn’t even flinch. The alpha pulled him up and into his arms and growled out such possessive words it always made Izuku shiver...
Present day…
“No one fucks with what’s mine,” Tomura declared, sounding deadly and protective as he stepped across the hall in front of Izuku.
The sense of relief that flooded through Izuku was downright euphoric. Facing down Sensei alone was never a fun task. Even with Dabi and Kurogiri nearby, they would have been just as susceptible to his wrath. But Tomura was always the only one who could stand up to him. And with him there, like a solid wall between them, Izuku felt himself relax. Hiding behind his alpha, he even took a moment to let his hand brush over his stomach.
His inner musings were cut off when Sensei cleared his throat. “Tomura, what a surprise. Shouldn’t you be on a mission? You wouldn’t want to disappoint me.”
“Nah, it’s fine. The bitch is gonna die tomorrow. I’m more needed here anyway.”
“Nothing is more important than your mission. You should know that.”
“Tough shit, I heard my omega was sick and that you were bothering him.”
“Tsk, tsk,” Sensei said, condescension oozing into every word out of his mouth. “I would never bother your dear omega. I was just concerned for his well-being after all. He has much to lose, you know? You should both be more careful.”
“Be careful, dad,” Tomura growled. “Sounds like a threat. That’s not a quest any of us want to start.”
Sensei stood silent for a moment before taking a step back. “Hm, I suppose not. I will leave you both. Tomura, get back to your mission sooner rather than later. You have a job to do that will have consequences should you fail.”
“Oh, please. My stats are way better than some pencil-pushing commission bitch. Don’t worry about me.”
Sensei didn’t bother responding, waving to Kurogiri for the man to make him a portal and send him back to whatever hell he’d crawled out of. And the moment it closed, Izuku sagged and fell to the ground.
His knees would have slammed into the cold, unforgiving concrete if Dabi hadn’t dove forward to catch him. Tomura whipped around immediately, dropping to crouch in front of Izuku.
The omega let his scent flood out, no longer resisting with his alpha right there. His pheromones were heavy with distress, thick and cloying and crawling down all of their throats. Tomura immediately pulled him close, wrapping his arms behind Izuku’s back and under his legs to carry the omega as if he was a princess.
“I’ve got him, Dabi. Leave us alone for a little while.”
“Oi! Be gentle with him!” Dabi shouted after them, but neither of them acknowledged him.
All Izuku could focus on was Tomura. The strong arms wrapped around him had him purring, leaning into his alpha’s scent glands and letting himself relax. And for the first time since Tomura left, his nausea was worlds better. Just the scent of the alpha calmed him down, soothing something deep inside as their bond hummed in satisfaction.
Izuku didn’t even notice how loudly he was purring as Tomura placed him in their nest and crawled in after him to hold him tightly. It was only then that Izuku realized how much Tomura was shaking, his pinky carefully tucked in his hand, but he was gripping the omega so tightly.
“Tomu, what’s wrong, baby?”
“I fucking hated that. You called, and you sounded like something was wrong, and then Sensei showed up. I owe him my life, Izu, but if he hurt a single hair on your head, I would have ripped his throat out right there and slowly decayed him till he begged for mercy.”
Izuku nuzzled closer, taking a dark satisfaction in his mate’s bloodlust when it came to keeping him safe. “I’m alright, though. He was just coming to… threaten me.”
“But why? Cause you’re sick? That makes no fucking sense. He would have just killed you while you were vulnerable and I was gone.”
“It’s more than that…”
“Of course it is. The fuck happened this time, Izu?”
“Uhm, well,” Izuku mumbled, pulling back in the nest to fiddle with his fingers, avoiding eye contact.
He was nervous beyond belief to tell him, but Izuku knew he had to. Even if this wasn’t exactly the way he imagined it, he couldn’t let Tomura go back on the mission without knowing.
It was so hard to tell him, though. His lip was trembling, and his mind was spinning with possibilities.
“Damnit, Izu. Tell me, already! I don’t have the patience for this shit, and your scent is driving me wild.”
“What?” Izuku asked, his eyes widening in fear.
“You fucking smell different. Sweeter and warmer.”
“Oh, well, that makes sense,” Izuku awkwardly laughed before taking a deep breath and squeezing his eyes closed together.
“Just tell me, omega,” Tomura growled out, grabbing Izuku’s hand to playfully nibble at his wrists with his alpha fangs.
“Right, okay, I can do this…”
His heart raced, his breathing picked up.
The whole world slowed down when he opened his eyes, emerald green meeting ruby red.
“I’m pregnant.”

Chapter Text
Izuku had never seen Tomura speechless before. The alpha always had something to say about everything. He was opinionated and vocal. It was something Izuku loved about his mate, especially when he used to be so reserved. Tomura pulled him out of his shell, but Izuku would never be as blunt as his mate.
So, seeing him so shocked, not even making a peep, was... odd.
It felt unsettling, his anxiety spiking almost immediately after the novelty of Tomura’s surprised look wore off. His red eyes were wide open, mouth hanging open. Even his scent was seemingly gone, practically neutral as it blended with the smell of their nest. Izuku was about ready to spiral out of control.
What was Tomura thinking?
Did he hate the idea? Did he love it? Had he never even a pup, and he was just totally stunned?
Izuku couldn’t even get a proper read off of him. It made him start to shake, his inner omega practically pacing around inside him, nervous beyond belief that his alpha was about to reject their pup.
It was illogical, sure. Izuku was sure that Tomura wouldn’t do that. But he was vulnerable, damn it. Their little baby was growing in his stomach, and his instincts were going wild. He tried to keep a lid on them so badly. Tomura clearly needed a minute to collect himself, his eyes practically unseeing as his mouth twitched into various looks of shock.
But he couldn’t hold himself back forever.
Izuku let out the saddest whine, his eyes starting to bubble up in tears as he began to blubber out half-formed words.
“T-Tomura, please, damn it! Say something!”
“I-” the alpha choked out. “Fuck, Izu.”
“No,” Izuku whimpered, reaching out to hold his mate’s cheeks in his hands. “What are you thinking, alpha? I need to know. You’re killing me like this.”
Tomura shook his head. Hard. As if he had to dislodge whatever was going on in his head.
It only unsettled Izuku further. Was it that bad? Was he that surprised? Izuku thought it was normal to want pups, even for someone like Tomura, who’d lived such a fucked up life. Had he really never considered them being a family?
Izuku was starting to lose himself more, his heart racing and his lungs squeezing every breath out of him as his breathing quickened. “You’ve gotta say something, Tomura, or I swear to god I’m going to lock myself in the bathroom or something.”
“No!” Tomura shouted, reaching out to hold Izuku in arms. “No. Don’t go. Just, fuck, just give me a second and stop freaking out, for fuck’s sake. I just don’t want to fuck this up.”
“What could you possibly fuck up! I-I just want to know what you think! What you’re feeling! Are you happy? Disgusted? Mad? Afraid? How am I supposed to know when even your scent is so… off. What am I supposed to think? I don’t even know-”
Izuku’s rambles were cut off by Tomura’s lips. They were demanding, stealing his breath away and overwhelming all of his panic. His tongue was added to the equation immediately, dipping into Izuku’s waiting mouth as he tasted everything the omega had to offer. It spread a heat through Izuku’s whole body, burning everything away until he was panting and teary-eyed when Tomura pulled back.
“No,” Izuku whined. “You can’t just do that.”
“Hell yeah, I can. It’s a damn cheat code,” Tomura smirked.
“I hate you,” Izuku growled, but the tension had bled out of his shoulders. The alpha’s scent was back to normal, light again with the smell of rain and teasing hint of Izuku’s sweet minty scent.
“How many times do I gotta say that you don’t hate me?”
“Well, if you don’t give me your real damn opinion on this pup in my tummy, then that might change, jerk.”
Tomura nodded, reeling back the teasing before Izuku killed him. Usually, he loved Tomura’s ridiculous behavior. He always lightened heavy moments, but this was not the time. Izuku was pregnant, and his mate was going to take it seriously, or the omega was going to kill him.
“I never thought of having a pup. It was never part of the plan before you came around. I was going to murder the heroes, y’know? Bring down this shitty fucking hero society and make everyone see the truth.”
“Mm, I know,” Izuku said, a fond understanding smile on his lips.
“But then you and your stupidly cute cheeks came along,” Tomura grumbled, reaching up to pinch his face. “And I fucking love you so much. You’re smart and calculating, strong and sexy. The best fucking omega.”
Tomura paused and took a deep breath. “And now you’re pregnant? Fuck, you’ll be the best mom. Our little pup will be so goddamn cute.”
“So you want to keep them?”
“Obviously..”
“You’re not worried?” Izuku asked, his voice getting smaller as he looked away from his mate to tuck himself into Tomura’s neck.
Tomura’s face twisted into something vulnerable, his true feelings showing through his scent as it got sad and murky, heavy with fear. “Duh, I’m worried. There isn’t a fucking tutorial screen for parenthood. How the hell am I supposed to learn how to be a good dad? Kotaro was an asshole, and Sensei is obviously a shit example.”
“Why didn’t you just say that earlier?”
“Well, excuse me for being a little shocked, you brat!”
Izuku giggled for a moment before taking a second to consider his words. Tomura’s fears weren’t unfounded, and Izuku knew him well enough to know he was afraid of turning into Sensei. But it was easy to assuage those fears.
“Mm, you’ll be a great dad. You care so much about the people who matter. I don’t think you need to worry about that, baby. I mean it,” Izuku said, suddenly confident. “I have no doubts at all that you’ll be a good father. Protective and fun and silly. I couldn’t ask for a better partner.”
It was easy to sound certain at that moment. Izuku might be totally fucking terrified for their future, but he knew Tomura would be a great parent. Just thinking about him with their pup made him all warm, purrs slipping from between his lips as he snuggled closer.
Tomura was blushing furiously, his usual smirk gone from his face before he buried his face in Izuku’s curls.
“You’re fucking ridiculous,” Tomura groaned. “Who the hell would tell the leader of the League of Villains, notorious mass-murderer Shigaraki Tomura, what he’d be a good dad.”
“Anyone that knows the real him,” Izuku responded, without even a second of hesitation.
“You’re annoying. Stop being so cute.”
“Fine, we’ve got more to talk about anyway… Your parenting skills are definitely not what I’m afraid of…”
“Nothing else fucking matters, Izu. Just us.”
“That’s not true, though! And you know it.”
“I sure as hell don’t know it. I-I’m so fucking happy about this, Izu. You’re going to be the cutest fucking mom and I love them already. It’s a whole new fucking story line, and I’m excited. It’s going to be perfect. I’m going to give them the whole fucking world! If you really think I’ll be a good dad then we don’t have shit to worry about if I fix it all for them.”
“Tomura, it’s not going to be that easy, though! Sensei is a threat! He’s tried to kill me. We know that. And I’m sure he already knows about the pup. I could tell he wanted them. He wants to take our baby,” Izuku gritted out. The fear made him tremble, but the rage was building with every passing moment. “Of course, I want to be happy. I-I love them so much but this is a big deal.
Yes, he was scared. Nothing could compare to the fear that his baby would be taken from him, and they hadn’t even been born yet. But once he’d come to terms with wanting their pup, rage started to fill its place.
And after the terror of his last encounter dissipated, he could feel the fury that so many other mothers have spoken about. His inner omega wasn’t cowering anymore. The pup was his, and someone wanted to take it away.
“I still don’t think it matters,” Tomura argued again. He was trying to be confident, but his scent shifted to match Izuku’s. Righteous anger was a heavy scent, sticking to the back of their throats as it clawed its way into their hearts.
It felt all-consuming. Tomura handled it well, but Izuku wasn’t used to bloodthirsty rage as he snapped at his mate. “How can you say that?!” Izuku screamed.
“Simple,” Tomura growled back, his chest rumbling and his eyes alight with a burning inferno. “If he comes near either of you, I’ll fucking kill him. No more goddamn games. I’ll destroy him, Izu.”
Izuku’s eyes widened in shock. Tomura had been withdrawing from Sensei for years, with new priorities and Izuku pulling him away. But he’d never made such a blanket statement before.
It should have scared him. Izuku didn’t particularly like it when Tomura killed people.
But a twisted part of him curled around the idea. He could feel the darkness seeping into his thoughts, fucked up pleasure coursing through him as he imagined Tomura destroying the most terrifying villain who’d ever lived. After the event of the breakout at Tartarus, Sensei got his strength back, zapping so much of it from an overpowered Tomura and putting them at a dangerously similar power level.
Izuku always hated that. It was like some sick game of chicken that could result in the death of his mate.
It didn’t seem to matter anymore, though. Izuku could tell at that single second that Tomura would easily kill them. He was certain Sensei couldn’t stop the enraged and possessive alpha. Even if it felt like nothing more than a wild dream, his omega screamed at him that his alpha would do it for them.
Izuku could practically imagine him tearing him apart, bringing back his head as a gift to his omega so that they could live their lives as freely as they wanted without the evilest man in the world breathing down their necks.
So many feelings flooded through him all at once. Relief. Exhilaration. Power. Lust.
His scent spiked with all of them, filling their nest with the scent of pleased, excited, and aroused omega. Tomura reacted immediately, his nostrils flaring as he drank in the smell, moving closer to Izuku’s scent gland and shoving his nose against his neck.
“Fuck, I can smell you. You’re horny for it, huh?”
“Y-Yeah,” Izuku responded shakily. “You’re sexy and strong, threatening to kill someone for me.”
“Mm, now you know how I feel. Love it when my omega gives me those analyses of yours, ready for me to tear apart any hero in my way.” Tomura growled out, snaking his hands down to Izuku’s waist and pulling him flush against him.
The omega let out a needy whine when he felt Tomura’s huge cock against him. Heat sparked in his body, his pussy quivering and his little cocklet twitching. He knew he was getting wet, the scent of slick filling the air as Tomura growled.
“Fuck, you smell good, baby. If you weren’t already pupped, I would think you were begging me to breed you.”
“Uhn,” Izuku moaned, getting hot and desperate as their scents swirled around the room.
He pushed Tomura away in a hurry, the alpha growling at the distance. But Izuku needed to rip his clothes off. There was too much between them. Izuku needed skin. He needed touching and fucking and licking. Tomura was just as hungry for it, grabbing his clothes and disintegrating them in a second
“Alpha,” Izuku whined, rolling onto his stomach and up on his knees the moment he was naked. His pussy was on full display, dripping down his thighs as Tomura disintegrated his own clothes and crawled behind him.
Tomura smacked his ass, roaring so loud it echoed around the room. “Such a pretty, slutty omega—presenting to a villain.”
“Y-Yeah. A slut for you, alpha.”
“Fucking yeah, you are, Tomura whispered, carefully dragging two fingertips through his folds, dipping inside him and making Izuku let out a lewd moan. “Already sucking me in? You’re so wet I could put my cock in right now if I wanted. You’re so ready for it, aren’t you?”
“Y-Yes! So ready! More, more, more!”
Tomura bent over his back, pressing up as close as possible as he whispered in his ear. “Mmm, don’t want to hurt the baby, Izu. You’re going to have to take it slow and torturous.”
The alpha lined up this thick cock, gliding through Izuku’s pussy folds before he slowly pushed in, his throbbing length filling up the omega perfectly. Izuku’s whole body trembled, his knees nearly giving out if Tomura wasn’t gripping his hips so tightly. Even with finger raised, he was leaving bruises on Izuku’s freckled skin as he pumped in and out, moving painfully slow but reaching so deep inside him.
He couldn’t help the litany of moans and vulgar words that spilled from his lips like a veritable fountain of filth.
“So good alpha. Wanna pup again. Fill me up, alpha! Please, please! Missed you so much! Want you to stay forever. Knot me every day. I wanna feel- Fuck, right there! I wanna feel you everywhere all the time!”
“God, you’re a whore. Singing so beautifully for me, aren’t you?”
“C-Can’t help it,” Izuku panted out, his tongue rolling out of his mouth as he drooled all over the pillows.
“‘Course you can’t, baby boy. Too good, huh? I always take care of my omega,” Tomura groaned, quickening his pace in desperation. Izuku noticed the signs, his knot was getting fat, and his cock was twitching.
He was about to cum. And fuck, Izuku wanted it so badly.
“Fill me up! Want your knot! Daddy, please!” he begged.
Tomura’s pace slowed for a single second. Izuku didn’t understand why until he realized what he’d called him. He was about to apologize, but then the alpha started fucking him harder and faster.
“Fucking call me that again.”
“D-Daddy?” Izuku said, unsure at first until Tomura gripped him tighter. “Yes! Make me—fuck—make me cum!”
All thoughts were gone from both of their minds as Izuku’s cunt milked Tomura’s cock, the alpha hitting so deep as Izuku screamed. It was just too fucking good.
The emotional rollercoaster of the pregnancy and Sensei had them both on edge, craving connection. The arousal and fire burning inside them only intensified it all, kicking their instincts into high gear. Their scents were possessive and thick with lust, their sounds animalistic.
It was the perfect storm.
Tomura couldn’t stop himself from bending over Izuku’s back and biting into his scent gland. Their bond thrummed with energy, overtaking everything as their orgasms slammed into them.
Izuku’s neglected little cocklet spurt out, his pussy squirting as he screamed out in ecstasy. Tomura sounded wild and desperate, his growls filling their bedroom as his knot popped inside the omega, flooding him with cum.
The pleasure was perfect and euphoric, but too much. Izuku’s eyes fluttered closed, warm from his mate’s arms and the seed filling him up so deliciously. He passed out with nothing more than a few last slurred words.
“Love you, alpha.”

Chapter Text
When Izuku woke up, the previously ever-present nausea was missing. The emptiness in their bond was gone, with Tomura being home. It made him feel warm and fuzzy, the scent of their nest perfect even if the smell of sex was still in their bedroom. Izuku didn’t mind too much, though. He did, however, feel how sticky and gross he felt.
He reached over to the other side of the nest to poke at his alpha. But all he found was an empty spot.
Ice ran through his veins.
Tomura wasn’t there.
Izuku couldn’t stop the shock of fear that ran up his spine. The possibilities were endless, some totally rational. Tomura could have just returned to his mission, but Izuku knew that wasn’t the case. The alpha would have woken him up and said goodbye. He wouldn’t have left willingly. Did Sensei take him? He probably was furious that Tomura talked back.
He always made it very clear when anyone fucked up. He treated Tomura like a child, ripping him apart with cruel, calculated lectures. The only ounce of relief Izuku had was that he probably wasn’t hurting his mate. But he had to know.
Maybe it was risky, but if he ran down the hall and got Dabi, he'd have backup. Izuku was pregnant, not weak. He could face down Sensei if he absolutely needed to. Tomura shouldn’t be dealing with it alone.
With their baby on the line, a new successor for that evil piece of shit, they needed to be united. Izuku nodded to himself, his omega prowling around in his chest as he crawled out of bed and found some leggings and a hoodie to throw on. He tucked his nose into the neck for just a moment, realizing it was Tomura’s. The alpha’s scent washed over him, Izuku’s eyes drifting closed for a single moment to enjoy the pheromones.
His heart rate slowed down. His breathing calmed down.
But then the door to their room swung open.
Izuku’s knees nearly gave out when he saw it was Tomura.
And the emotion that overtook him was… intense. Izuku was a crier behind closed doors, but he hadn’t been quite so overwhelmed in his feelings in a very long time as he burst into sobs, tears streaming down his cheeks as each cry crawled out of his throat.
Suddenly, the morning sickness returned as he took off towards their tiny bathroom and puked out his guts. Tomura was there, though.
The alpha darted after him the moment he’d ran for the bathroom, sitting on the lip of the bathtub as he rubbed Izuku’s back.
“You’re so lucky I love you. This is fucking gross.”
Izuku sat back up, walking to the sink to rinse off his face and brush his teeth. The whole time he ignored Tomura, glaring at him through the mirror until the alpha walked up behind him. He wrapped his arms around Izuku, gingerly holding his stomach.
“I didn’t mean you’re gross, brat. You’re beautiful. No wonder I pupped you. Bet you’re gonna be fucking cute all round with little tits.”
Izuku’s glare turned fiery, shoving the alpha off and stomping back into the nest and crawling in. He heard Tomura follow after him, attempting to climb into the nest when Izuku let out a little growl.
“Damn, Dabi wasn’t kidding.”
Izuku poked out of the blankets to glare. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“He said you’ve had wild mood swings. Apparently, you even had a fight with him over all of this.”
“Ugh, maybe. But he wasn’t listening! I hate not being listened to.”
Tomura smirked at him. “I know, baby. I still remember the first time you let me have it for destroying some of your All Might merch. We could make plans to kill people, but that’s where you drew the line,” he snorted.
“Shut it. I had to stand up for myself. You’re all bullies.”
“Yeah, maybe. Or maybe you’re just a brat.”
“Well, when my alpha is you I was bound to catch some of it,” Izuku grumbled, burrowing under the blankets. He pretended to be upset, but he was already over the annoyance. Pregnancy hormones really were no joke.
So he hid to cover the blush on his cheeks instead.
Tomura wasn’t falling for it, though.
“I know you’re not mad, you big baby. Get out here.”
“Don’t wanna, I like it in here. No rude alphas.”
“Tough shit,” Tomura chuckled before he started to join Izuku in the nest. The omega whined, but he knew his scent was needy and not at all telling the alpha that he actually had to stay away.
He pretended to pout, but once Tomura was comfortable, Izuku melted into his arms.
“You’re horrible at pretending to be mad.”
“I wasn’t pretending the whole time. I was puking ‘cause of the pup you put in me, and then you called me gross! It’s not my fault!”
“Meh, I meant it. Throwing up is gross, Izu, even if you’re gorgeous.”
Izuku squirmed in his arms to glare at him. “You’re a dick.”
“Yeah, and you’re avoiding something. Don’t think I didn’t notice your giant crying spell and then acting like it didn’t happen.”
“Stop that,” he whined, burying his head back in his chest. “I just woke up, and you weren’t here. I was worried.”
“Mm, that makes sense. I’m fine, though. I just talked to Dabi about you and what’s been going on since I left. He said you puke a lot. You’re clingy and emotional as shit. And fuck, he was right.”
“I hate you both.”
Tomura smirked down at him, his red eyes shining with mirth. “Ouch. That hurts.”
“You’re a crappy actor,” Izuku grumbled.
“Yeah, well, I’m putting shit off too.”
“I know. You have to go…” Izuku whispered, his voice trailing off. He didn’t want to admit it, but they knew it was coming. Tomura had to finish the mission. They needed to avoid any additional ire from Sensei at the moment, and if Tomura never went back to kill that commission official, he’d get punished just like the rest of the League. Meaning more missions to make up for his failure.
“We can’t afford for me to fuck this up. I’ll make sure it goes perfectly so he can’t be pissed, and I won’t have to go anywhere anytime soon.”
“I hate it when you leave. I think the morning sickness was worse without you around.”
“So the pup is needy just like their mom,” Tomura teased, but the fondness in his voice made Izuku feel so warm.
The alpha never failed to make him feel soft. Tomura was just not a generally kind person. If someone tripped on the sidewalk, he would laugh and walk away. Izuku knew what his mate was like. But for him? Tomura was like a warm blanket—comforting and cuddly. He held him close, took care of him better than anyone ever had before.
Izuku was always surprised by how much they loved each other.
“I am needy ‘cause I love you.”
“Yeah, yeah, I love you too.”
Izuku closed his eyes and enjoyed the moment for a single second before facing reality as he took a deep breath. “We do need to talk about what to do next, though. As much as I love this. You need to leave, and we need a plan.”
“We shouldn’t discuss it here. We’re probably safe in our nest? Sensei probably doesn’t want to hear all your fucking dirty words when we fuck. But we’ll do it later.”
Izuku shook his head. “I don’t think that will work. I think we should try to get both of us sent on a mission with only people we trust. Or at least a few, we can… take care of the rest, right? Or you can?”
“That sounds pretty villainous of you, omega,” Tomura cooed.
“If it means our baby is safer, I don’t care.”
“I know, it’s hot. Sexy pregnant omega ready to kill people…” the alpha whispered in his ear, nibbling on his earlobe.
Izuku giggled and pushed him away. “Seriously, knock it off. I think that’s our best bet.”
“Yeah, I could see it working. We can plan out in the field and deal with people if we need to, where we can just blame it on someone else. We don’t need some fucking NPCs anyway.”
“Alright, then that’s what we’ll do. Let’s keep our ears open for a mission that might work. Something that requires extra analysis and strategy to explain why I need to be there. Sensei will be suspicious, but hopefully, his arrogance gets in the way.”
“Yeah, yeah. And there’s one more thing we gotta do before I go.”
“We’re not having sex again,” Izuku said as he rolled his eyes. “The nest is still stinky, and I want to take a shower.”
“I mean, we could fuck, but that’s not even what I was talking about, brat. We need to tell other people. Just a few. Dabi might not be enough to keep you outta trouble, and if something happens to you, I will destroy the whole fucking world. We need more backup.”
“Are you sure? I don’t want too many people to know, Tomura. And what if they tell someone?”
“It’s just Kurogiri and Spinner. The old man loves us, and he’s a fucking softy, and the lizard is way too honorable to let anything happen to a pregnant omega. Trust me.”
“I do. And I trust them. If you think we have to, then I’ll agree.”
“Good, ‘cause I already texted them.”
Izuku leveled a glare, but before he could spit back, a knock on the door had them both whipping towards it.
“It’s just us,” Dabi called out.
Izuku sagged in relief, crawling out of the nest to walk over to the couch in their bedroom. Tomura, in the meantime, let them in the room.
“Find a seat, fuckers. We gotta talk.”
“Shouldn’t we get a conference room or do this in the bar?” Spinner asked.
“Nope. Cause I lied. This ain’t got shit to do with my current mission.”
Dabi snorted. “Can’t believe you fell for that.”
“Oh, can it, Dabi. If Izuku wasn’t your little pup, you wouldn’t know their little secrets either.”
“Maybe,” Dabi said with a shrug. “But I’m not a moron enough that they’d ask us in here for something as lame as work.”
Spinner was about to bitch back at him when Tomura suddenly growled. It was oddly on edge, for having just been teasing Izuku only a minute before. But he recognized what happened once he focused on his alpha’s scent.
He felt protective and on edge, struggling with having other people in their den with his pregnant omega. Izuku smiled at him. “Who’s emotional now?”
“You’re a brat, you know that?”
“I do. But we’ve got something to talk about, so let’s do it. You’ve gotta get back before Sensei shows up.”
“I agree with Master Izuku,” Kurogiri said with a nod.
Izuku smiled at him. “Thanks, Kuro. Anyway, we have news that absolutely cannot leave this room. You’re the only people we trust. Even telling you guys might not be a good idea.”
Spinner’s eyes narrowed. “If this is like a coup, I don’t wanna know.”
“Nothing like that. It’s happy news, actually. I-I’m pregnant.”
Izuku said it easily this time around. But the silence in the room felt a lot like when he told Tomura. It was stifling, the tension high, and everyone’s scents were all over the place. Spinner’s beta scent was even heavy with apprehension. Kurogiri didn’t have pheromones, but he was clearly tense. Izuku could always tell when his fog became rigid.
“Well, you fuckers gonna say something?” Dabi drawled, turning to smile at Izuku for a brief second. “I already knew, so ha.”
“Fuck, sorry, izuku. Congratulations, guys. You’ll be great fucking parents, but also, this is a dangerous place for pups. I’m just… worried?”
“It’s okay,” Izuku soothed, putting out his calming pheromones. “Uncle Spinner is a worrier. It’s not a big deal. We just needed to tell you guys because I’m going to need some extra protection when Tomura is away.”
“Yeah, makes sense,” Spinner nodded.
“You can count on us. I will not let anything happen to you,” Kurogiri ensured.
“Great. Thanks.”
“I only trust the people in this room. Himiko wouldn’t tell anyone on purpose, but she’s a fucking gossip. No one tells her or anyone else. If I come back from this damn mission and a single hair is out of place on my omega’s fluffy head of hair, I’ll kill you all,” Tomura growled out, standing up to his full height and glaring at the others in the room.
“Stop posturing, stupid alpha,” Dabi sneered, “We’ll take care of your mate.”
“Good. I-I fucking have to go then. Don’t let anything happen to him.”
“Of course,” Kurogiri said before opening a portal.
Izuku suddenly realized he was about to leave and let out a pitiful whine. “Right now? B-But that’s so sudden.”
“We can’t attract attention, Izu. I’ve gotta go to kill this fuck to come home.”
“Yeah, but can’t I get a better goodbye? I don’t like this part,” Izuku suddenly blubbered out, his emotions running high as tears sprung to his eyes.
“Fuck, I know,” Tomura sighed. But he walked over and scooped Izuku right into his arms. “I love you. Be safe and don’t do anything stupid. I’ll be back in a few days.”
Izuku buried his nose in his scent gland but nodded. He hated seeing him leve, no matter how much he knew he needed to. “I love you. Be safe. Don’t kill anyone that you don’t have to!”
“Yeah, yeah,” Tomura chuckled before plopping Izuku down in the nest and walking away. “You fuckers take care of him! I’ll be back in a couple days!”
Then, just like that, he was gone. And Izuku was crying.
Dabi immediately sprung into action. “You two go. It’s weird to have you in here. No one is gonna bat an eye at me staying here.”
“Right. We’re leaving. Let us know if you need anything.”
“I will. Now get lost.”
Izuku barely heard them leave, turning to hide in the nest until Dabi joined him, and he cried harder.
“You know, this is a little dramatic. He’ll be back in like two days.”
“I’m pregnant and emotional and scared. If you’re going to be a jerk, I don’t want you here.”
“I’m not going to be a dick,” Dabi breathed out, snuggling in deeper and wrapping himself around the other omega. “Go to sleep, alright?”
“Don’t wanna. I want to take a shower.”
“Fine. Go do that, and I’ll go get us some food.”
Izuku nodded but didn’t move. Neither of them got up for at least another five minutes, just staying in the comfort of the nest before Dabi’s stomach suddenly growled.
“Alright, I’m going. Take your shower. Is there anything else you want?”
Izuku took a moment to think about it, but he immediately had a couple ideas.
“Can you go steal me a pregnancy book? And put some feelers out for an untraceable laptop? I want to call my mom and research this pup. But I can’t do that normally, or Sensei will see.”
Dabi let out a groan. “I meant like… something easy, brat. Like food.”
“Uhm, sorry. But I love you!”
“Yeah, yeah. Go take a shower,” Dabi grumbled, walking out the door.
Izuku wasted no time setting up a shower, the steam filling the room and turning off the light for a candle to light up the dark. Then he grabbed his phone and played his favorite song.
The beat echoed off the tiled walls, the sad, slow piano notes wafting throughout the room. Izuku pressed his back to the tile, the hot water beating down on him. It burned, but he felt clean, and the steam was heavy, but it felt comforting. He loved it as he sank down to the floor. The water still rained down on him as he leaned his head down to look at his stomach.
It didn’t feel real, yet it also felt so real that it was suffocating. It was shocking to a crazy extent, Izuku's life suddenly taking a colossal U-turn away from the direction he always expected. He was excited, and it felt like he could admit that now. But it didn’t stop the fear from bubbling up, the pressure in his head increasing as he worried about their future.
He lightly held himself, cupping his little tummy even if there was no bump. His voice echoed through the room despite him only whispering, a smile on his face and his tears blending into the water running all over him.
“What am I going to do with you, little one?”

Chapter Text
Izuku had no idea what to expect from pregnancy, but after reading all the pamphlets and researching on his secure laptop, he had a pretty typical one for male omegas. Which unfortunately meant it was downright hellish. If he didn't already love his pup so much, he might hate them for the shit he's been going through.
And being in a damn villain hideout where everything was a secret made it much harder. His symptoms weren't exactly subtle, and everyone in the League was fairly observant—after being villains for so long, they had to be. It made it nearly impossible to keep everything under wraps when their whole group noticed every little change.
Izuku couldn't decide if hiding it was worse than the actual symptoms themselves, and it all started the day after Tomura left to return to his mission.
He knew he couldn't hide in his room forever, so he put on the extra strength scent blockers and went down into the bar with his League laptop. He sat down at his favorite booth in the corner and started to work on some analysis work for Guren. It was pretty simple, just his usual write-up on some villain who was paying for extra information on how to improve their quirk and escape heroes.
Of all of the work Izuku did, it was one of his favorites. He didn't feel too villainous compared to when he had to analyze how to kill a hero. And this way, he could leave some things out, and no one would be the wiser.
Izuku still got paid, still had a good reputation, and hopefully, it didn't get anyone killed. That was good enough for him.
The villain he was writing up had a pretty simple quirk. They called it Bloodlust, and for every ounce of blood they consumed, they got stronger and more violent. Luckily, the villain seemed to be either an idiot or new on the scene because the information he was given was pretty sparse. They didn't even carry blades to easily spill blood. With just a few tips to obtain some knives and a small diagram of a blood dispenser, he sent it back to Guren.
He was just about to close his laptop and flee after making a public appearance when Himiko sat across from him.
"Izu," she whined. "Why can't I smell you today? I don't like it."
Izuku rolled his eyes. "I got new patches. They're better than the old ones."
"But I liked the old ones! They were kinda bad, and I could still smell you!"
"Then, they didn't really do their job, did they?"
"I guess," Himiko pouted, flopping down on the table. "I miss it, though. It made my inner alpha purr. You always smelled so nice."
"Sorry, Himiko. I know you liked it, but it's not for you. I-it's for my alpha."
"Tomura could share," she purred.
"I don't think that's a good idea."
"It's fine! He's not even here! Come on, just a little sniff, Izu," she pleaded, widening her golden eyes and clasping her hands like she was praying.
"Himi, no."
"No one has to know, Izu!" Himiko suddenly reached over the table to grab the scent patch on his wrist, and Izuku reacted immediately.
Slapping her hand away, Izuku let out a growl to mask his fear with anger—he was lucky she couldn't smell his scent. She'd never drop it if she knew he was afraid of something. But she usually listened when she made someone mad.
“I said no! Himiko, drop it!”
She looked slightly insulted, but she pulled away as she slumped in her chair. "Fine, sorry," she mumbled. "I dunno why you're being so serious about this, Izu. It's weird, and I don't like it."
Izuku had to keep himself from looking worried, suddenly feeling very vulnerable and exposed as she gave him a weird look and got up to leave. Instinctively, he wanted to wrap his arms around his stomach, but he'd already failed at being subtle today. There was no reason to do it again.
He just had to do better at hiding everything.
The next time someone caught him acting weird, it went far better. Thank fuck for Dabi.
It was the middle of the night, and he was in his nest. Tomura was still gone on his mission, something Izuku was not happy about. Sensei sent him out for longer, adding more to their mission which included hunting down a few other villains trying to move in on some of the League's suppliers for illegal weapons and support devices.
Which, of course, meant Izuku was emotional, tired, and missing his mate.
Even with Dabi lying next to him, he couldn't sleep that night. Having the other omega there was nice, yeah, but It wasn't enough to help. He still laid wide awake, staring at the cement ceiling above him.
It was the perfect recipe for a late-night craving—missing his mate, wide awake, and stressed.
Izuku hadn't felt one yet, but he finally understood all the stories about cravings when one suddenly slammed into him. It was so strong that Izuku thought he might die if he didn't get his ass out of the nest and find some peanut butter and potato chips.
He threw the blanket off and scuttled out of the nest, heading into the massive communal kitchen to find where they kept all the American snacks. Izuku nearly sobbed with relief when he found what he was looking for. He didn't waste any time and abruptly sat down on the floor to rip into food.
A moan slipped from his lips, the taste of chips dipped in peanut butter somehow being more euphoric than nearly anything else he'd ever experienced. He could practically imagine the pup being just as happy to satisfy his sudden craving.
But he was so focused on his snack he didn't notice the pantry door opened.
"Master Izuku, are you alright?" Kurogiri asked, making Izuku jump as he whipped around to see him.
"Shit, you startled me!"
Kurogiri gave a slight bow. "I apologize. I heard noises and was concerned. May I ask what you're doing?"
"I just couldn't sleep. Wanted to come eat a snack."
"Of peanut butter and chips? That's an odd combination."
"O-Oh, uhm, is it?" Izuku asked, his tired brain not coming up with a better defense of his admittedly weird snack. He couldn't openly say it was cravings just in case there was someone else around.
But Dabi suddenly spoke up from behind Kurogiri and saved the day.
"I dared him to eat it awhile back, and the weirdo said it was actually good."
"Ah, I see."
"Right, yeah. Sorry, Giri."
"It's quite alright."
Dabi snorted. "Come on, dumbass. Let's go back to bed."
Izuku nodded dumbly, shoving a few more chips and peanut butter in his mouth before putting them back on the shelf and following the other omega back to his nest. It was almost magic how quickly he finally got to sleep after satisfying his craving. He couldn't even be worried Kurogiri caught him acting weirdly.
It was just a snack after all, right?
After another week, Izuku stopped worrying about the little things. It wasn't as if he was the normal guy anyway, and it seemed like everyone in the League blamed his odd behavior on Tomura being gone longer than expected.
And truthfully, they weren't even that wrong. Tomura’s absence did play a big part of it. Being away from his alpha while pregnant was basically a nightmare. His omega would practically scream at him that he'd been abandoned, that their mate didn't want their pup. It hurt every time like he was ripping his own heart out.
Izuku managed, though. Most of the time. He'd struggled with anxiety and depression for years, and he usually succeeded and talking himself down from spiraling too far.
But sometimes, no matter how hard he tried, it just didn't work.
He was lying in his nest, stuck there and unable to get up. His instincts refused to let him leave the scent of their alpha. Even the thought made him want to die. He curled on himself, hiding away. It was happening more and more often too. It'd been two weeks since he'd seen Tomura, and he'd spent three different days in his nest, hiding from the League.
Izuku didn't even have the energy to question whether or not that was going to be a big deal. He was too depressed to even think about it. Even Dabi couldn't get him out of the nest.
The only thing that ever made him feel better was Tomura. He really just wanted to curl into his alpha and pretend their life wasn't riddled with assholes, villains, and heroes who wanted them dead. With his alpha, he could pretend none of that was real. Izuku could just imagine they were a regular mated pair starting a family together, but that wasn't exactly possible.
He had to resort to the next best thing as he pulled out his phone and called Tomura.
The alpha answered, growling through the speaker. "Who the fuck is calling me right now?"
"Y'know, you could just look at the phone and check," Izuku said, a watery giggle spilling from his lips.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm busy. What's up, baby?"
"J-Just missed your voice. It's a bad day. We miss you."
“We?”
"Me. Our pup. My dumb, needy inner omega."
Tomura chuckled, sounding soft and fond like he only ever did for Izuku. "Definitely not dumb, but you are needy. You hiding in the nest today? Getting your stamina bar full?"
"Mhm," Izuku hummed. "Just don't wanna be around everyone."
"Yeah, cause they all fucking suck. NPCs aren't good company."
"They're just so much sometimes, and I'm not feeling up to it."
"Eh, fuck 'em. If you don't want to be around them, then don't. Just don't make anyone question it, or we could be fucked."
"I know. I'm being safe, I think. I try to still work out in the bar."
"Good, don't want anyone noticing, or I'd have to kill them."
Izuku smiled, rolling over in the nest to stretch. "Don't worry, I'm safe. I think."
"You better be," Tomura whispered, his voice taking on that dark edge it always did when he thought about anyone hurting Izuku. He knew the "moral" part of him should find that disgusting, but it made him feel so safe he couldn't help but love it, especially with a pup in his tummy. It was such a sweet reminder that he had a good alpha, even if Tomura wasn't always the best man.
Still, though, he'd like to keep him from killing anyone.
"Let's not kill anyone, though, alright? Maybe people have noticed I've been a little off, but no one seems suspicious. I think they all think I'm upset because you've been gone so long. Which really isn't that far off. I'm sure my scent seems lonely, and I can definitely play it off. I could probably even–"
"Fuck, alright, I get it. You're taking care of it."
"Sorry," Izuku chuckled. "Was just thinking I might need to play it up."
"You, and your genius little brain, got this. And I'd love to talk more about how much you miss me, but there's shit I gotta do."
"Alright, I love you."
"Love you more. See you soon."
They hung up the phone, and Izuku let out a deep breath. He felt better, just having heard Tomura's voice. The comfort always oozed into him, even after only talking for a minute. Just simply sharing his issues with his partner made him feel so much lighter, like he wasn't carrying it alone.
It made the burden of hiding their little pup much less stressful, even if Tomura was on the other side of the country dealing with whatever Sensei forced on him. Izuku could handle it and hide it better with just that comfort. Sure, some people noticed, but he was sure it would be fine.
But he couldn't help the fear that the wrong people knew something as he put a protective hand on his stomach. He knew his odd behavior was probably not well-hidden. And the doubt suddenly came crawling back as Izuku desperately tried to hold onto that brief comfort he got from his mate.
Almost like the universe was playing tricks on him, his intrusive thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a knock on the door, making Izuku let out a growl to let whoever was at the door know they weren't welcome. But they knocked again and again. Izuku was ready to let them knock until they died until he heard a familiar voice he wanted nothing to do with.
"Izuku? Baby? Are you in there?"
"M-Mom?" Izuku asked, bolting up in bed and his whole body suddenly trembling with fear.
"Can I come in?"
"No! No, don't!" Izuku screamed, darting out of bed and throwing on a hoodie and sweats. There was no way he could let her into his room. She would immediately notice the difference in his scent, and he couldn't trust her not to tell.
Really, he couldn't trust her at all. His mom was far too afraid of Sensei and Hisashi, and she would sell out Izuku in a moment if she thought she had to. And Izuku couldn't let that happen, even if some part of him craved a good relationship. He would love to have a mom he could just tell things to, who loved and cared for him.
But that wasn't the world he lived in, and it hurt to remind himself of that as he quickly stepped out of his room to hide his secret from his mother.
She immediately stepped back, giving him an unsure smile as she played with her sleeves. "Hello, Izuku. It's so good to see you."
"You too, mom. But uhm, this was unexpected? Why are you here?"
"Oh, well, All For One said I should come visit?"
Izuku's whole body went rigid, fear spiking as fury bubbled up in his gut. "What?"
Inko started to shift back and forth in the hallway, still fidgeting with her hands as she stared at the ground. "He said Tomura had been gone a while, and you weren't doing well. Something about wanting to reward you both by taking care of you. He thought I would help."
A dark, mean laugh erupted from Izuku. "He has never done a nice thing in his life, mom. He doesn't care about me."
"Don't say that!" Inko practically screamed, looking around in terror as if he'd suddenly turn the corner and murder them on the spot.
"It's fine. He knows what I think of him. And he wouldn't hurt you, probably. It would risk his relationship with Tomura and me."
"Izuku, please," she pleaded, still looking terrified, nearly trembling with tears in her eyes.
It made Izuku want to cry. She was nothing like she used to be before his father came home. She was young, free, and a good mom who loved him more than anything. But then Hisashi came back into their lives, and with him came Sensei.
He knew she was justified in her terror of the man, but she was a shell of her former self. It made Izuku's heart ache and his lungs constrict as a sad smile spread on his face.
"I know, but it's fine. And even if he's up to something, I miss you. Want to go eat something in the bar?"
Inko nodded, breathing a sigh of relief. "That would be nice. It feels more normal there."
Izuku nodded and started walking so she would follow, leading her back upstairs and through all the hallways that made their underground lair. It seemed normal to him, giant winding corridors leading up to a tiny little bar that looked like any other dive bar in the bad part of town. Inko, however, seemed equal parts terrified and amazed every time. If he wasn't so worried about what Sensei was up to, he might have enjoyed it a little more.
But instead, he had to worry about why she was there, keeping a close eye on anyone watching them. He could only hope it wasn't a ruse to get someone out of his room. The scent wouldn't be evident to just anyone, but if they found his hidden equipment, they would be screwed. Izuku prayed that wasn't the care as they sat down at his favorite booth in the corner.
"So, how have you been? I miss you and Tomura even," Inko asked, smiling at him.
Izuku returned her smile and entertained her small talk. It almost felt normal if part of him wasn't still shaking with worry about what the hell was happening. He needed to hurry this up to go back to his room and make sure everything was safe.
But that also meant he wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. He should have been more careful because he'd been mostly avoiding the bar on purpose. While pregnant, his nose was so sensitive to everything.
And his mother ordered her food with tamagoyaki.
The smell of egg was nauseating, and his mother noticed immediately. "Izuku, what's wrong?"
"N-Nothing," Izuku choked, hiding how badly he wanted to gag.
She was obviously concerned, trying to take his hand as she started to fret. "Are you sick? What is it, baby?"
"I-I'm fine," he tried to promise. But it was so hard to keep himself from puking he was about to cry.
He could tell she was desperate to help; she always had been. The guilt from the past five years was always evident in her eyes. But Izuku should have stopped her as she reached up and pulled back the scent patch on his wrist.
Obviously, she didn't even think about it, reflexively reaching out to scent him in an attempt to help. But once his scent hit her nose, she reeled back. And immediately, Izuku knew he was fucked.
"I-Izuku…" she whispered, her hands trembling as she looked up at him with wide, scared eyes.
"Mom. Mom, calm down. You can't make a scene."
Her eyes darted around the room, her breathing getting panicked. "I-Izuku. Oh no. M-My baby, what happened?"
"Mom, it's alright. You need to breathe, or you're going to freak out and cry, and everyone will come over here. Please, I need you to stop," Izuku begged, torn between wanting to help calm her down and just making her leave.
"I-I can't," she whined. "Y-You're pregnant? What are you going to do? Are you safe? Is the pup okay? How far along are you? Does All For One know?"
"Shit, you have to stop, or I'm going to make you leave. Sensei can’t know do you understand?”
"Izuku, he'll find out. He'll kill all of us," she whispered, shaking so badly that he could feel it from the other side of the table.
"He won't. I'll keep them safe, mom, but you have to stop!" Izuku whispered so harshly it was nearly a scream. He was trembling with thinly veiled rage and fear because she couldn't keep it together. Someone was going to notice. Someone was going to find out.
Thankfully, even though his mother was a coward, she was never dumb.
"I need to leave," she gasped, suddenly getting out of the booth. "You're not safe if I'm here. I'm so sorry, baby," she whined, giving him one last look before practically scurrying out of the bar.
Izuku watched her leave, and the moment she was gone, he let himself react. He was so focused on her not revealing anything that he tried to keep his own panic under control. But once he was alone, the ice hit his veins, and fear took over. He was desperate to keep himself from crying, but he couldn't.
And he was too obvious, as people in the bar noticed, and suddenly Spinner and Himiko were at his side.
"Izuku? What's wrong?" Spinner asked.
"I-I need Dabi. Please. Now."
The man didn't hesitate and ran off to find him as Himiko tried to hold him. But Izuku pushed her away, still trembling. "N-Not now, please."
“It’s okay, I know parents are awful.”
Izuku nodded, letting her believe that it was just because of Inko. It was easy to pass off. Everyone knew they had a complicated relationship. But then, before he knew it, Dabi was there, kneeling down and looking him over with nearly as much panic as Izuku felt.
"The hell happened?"
"Inko. She was here," Izuku nearly sobbed, unable to hold back with Dabi in front of him.
"The fuck? Why?"
"Sensei sent her, and it was so weird, and I was caught off guard and–"
"Izuku, I can barely fucking understand you while you ramble and cry."
He took a huge gulping breath to steady himself before looking into Dabi's eyes. "She knows."

Chapter Text
After the horrific event with his mother, Izuku crashed. It was too much on his plate, and he couldn’t help but be on the edge of panic. Everything felt like it was seconds from crashing down. He knew he wasn’t reacting well, but he didn’t have the energy to do anything about it.
Tomura had been gone for weeks, he was pregnant, and to top it all off, his mother now knew about it.
Normally, he would try to find a way to solve his issue. He could find someone with a quirk that could keep his mother from telling anyone. But he was too emotional. Truthfully he wanted to lock her up until the baby was safely born. It made guilt writhe in his gut. He didn’t want to be that person.
Instead, he locked himself in his room and relied solely on the people who already knew about the pregnancy. Was it suspicious that he wasn’t leaving his room? Yes. He knew people were probably talking about him. But he also knew they probably would chalk it up to the hormones of an omega who hadn’t seen their alpha in far too long.
It was a convenient excuse and one that worked out perfectly because he was way too afraid to leave the fragile safety of his room. Even if technically All For One had access, Izuku’s nest felt like the only place he wasn’t constantly on guard.
He just needed to stay there until he’d calmed down and Tomura returned. He could make a plan once his mate was by his side.
“You know, you really should deal with it sooner rather than later…” Dabi mumbled while they cuddled in Izuku’s nest.
“Maybe, but if it were up to me, I’d do something drastic. And I don’t want to do that.”
“It can’t be that drastic. Compared to the rest of us, you’re still a saint.”
Izuku pouted at him. “Well, excuse me for not wanting to hurt my mom.”
“Why not? She’s a shit mom. We all know it,” Dabi drawled, rolling his eyes. “I know I sound like an ass, but I care a hell of a lot more about you and your pup than I do your spineless mother.”
“She might be spineless, but she’s not evil. I don’t want anything too horrible to happen to her. All she’s gotta do is keep her mouth closed for a few more days till Tomura gets back.”
“Hmm,” Dabi hummed. “You got a lot more faith in her than I do.”
“I’m not a crusty cynic.”
“Whatever. We both know when you’re feeling like yourself, you can be a brat.”
Izuku glared at him for a moment before turning his back, feigning offense. “Can’t believe you’re so mean.”
“If it cheers you up, I’ll be mean any day, pipsqueak.”
“I hate you,” Izuku grumbled.
Dabi snorted and moved closer to spoon him. “No, you don’t.”
Izuku was about to list all the reasons he could pretend to hate Dabi when a knock echoed on his door. They were both immediately on high alert, sitting up to simultaneously narrow their eyes at the door.
Turning to look at the other omega, Izuku whispered, “Who do you think it is?”
“Not sure. But I’ll take care of it. I’ll just say you’re nesting and that they need to fuck off.”
Izuku nodded but didn’t relax back into the nest as Dabi climbed off the bed and walked over to the door.
“Be careful. If they can smell the room too much, they’ll notice my scent is off!” Izuku whispered loudly.
Dabi briefly turned to give him a look saying ’I know, I’m not a moron.’ And despite the tense air in the room, Izuku smiled and felt his shoulders relax just the tiniest bit.
He really was lucky to have the other man. Izuku wouldn’t know what he’d do without the other omega in his life. His transition into the League would have been much worse, and Izuku wasn’t even sure if he’d still be alive if it weren’t for Dabi. Especially after his third night with the league. Izuku hated how well he remembered that day.
Five years ago…
Izuku was sitting on the floor of one of the only private bathrooms in the whole building. Izuku didn’t even know for sure who it belonged to, but he found it yesterday, and it seemed like no one ever used it. It was cold and empty, with no toiletries or scents anywhere to be seen. The compound was so big there was a chance no one even used the hallway it was in. Izuku couldn’t pick up a single pheromone anywhere.
So he hid, collapsing to the ground and heaving into the toilet as he puked out his food for the second time that day. Because no matter what he did, he couldn’t keep anything down. His body revolted at every turn at the horrible stench of random alphas that made Izuku want to crawl into a hole and die.
But the little bathroom, at the end of an abandoned hallway, was somehow his safe place.
And after he finished puking, he crawled into the empty bathtub and curled up in a ball to try to sleep. It was the only place he’d been able to sleep since his parents dropped him off. It felt so much safer than his room—even his nest. It made his brand new inner omega cry in pain and fear.
Izuku hated it so much. He couldn’t even control how much he hated it, which made it so much worse.
But before he could start his spiral of crying himself to sleep, there was a knock on the door and a lazy drawl that he recognized as the fiery omega he’d met yesterday.
“Just let me in, kid. Promise I’m not gonna hurt ya.”
Izuku let out a choked sob that he was sure the other man could hear, but he didn’t move from the relative safety of his bathtub.
“Come on, pup. Unlock the door, or I’ll break the lock, and you’ll never get to lock it again.”
Another choked out a sob, and a whine spilled from Izuku’s lips. Then he heard a thud on the door, and he could just tell that Dabi was leaning against the door as his voice got softer.
“I know you’re scared, but I gotta check on ya. I’m just gonna help.”
Something in his voice sounded so worried that Izuku suddenly felt a warmth in his chest that he hadn’t felt since before he presented weeks ago. Lacking all sense of self-preservation, Izuku threw himself out of the tub and ran over to whip the bathroom door open.
The other omega fell forward, colliding with Izuku and sending him down to the ground. It scared him, pulling a cry from him as he crawled back deeper into the bathroom.
“Shit,” Dabi whispered out before immediately dropping low and pumping out the best fragrance Izuku had ever smelled. “I didn’t mean to knock ya over. You okay?”
Izuku ignored his question, instead perplexed by the scent. “W-why do you smell like that?”
“Smell like what? You mean the calming pheromones?”
“I-is that what that is?”
“Have you never been around another omega?”
Izuku shook his head, holding back a stuttered breath. “No.”
“Fuck, alright. This is gonna be complicated, but I’m not letting you deal with this shit on your own. From now on, just come to me. I’ll take care of you.”
And Izuku knew it probably wasn’t a good idea to just believe him. Still, with the combination of the omega’s scent and the determination and worry in his turquoise eyes, Izuku couldn’t stop himself. His inner omega was immediately desperate as he threw himself into Dabi’s arms.
Izuku didn’t have time to reminisce, though, as Dabi stepped quickly out of the room. Once the door closed, he let out a sigh of relief, letting himself collapse back into the comfort of his nest. He didn’t relax entirely, though—watching the door eagerly and waiting for Dabi to return.
But it was taking too long.
Dabi should have just been sending whoever it was away, but it was five minutes before Izuku heard shouting from out in the hall. Ice flooded his veins, and he froze over once he realized he recognized the other voice.
It was Hisashi.
He was already slipping into a full panic—preparing to call Tomura as he grabbed his phone.
His dad never showed up. They weren’t even on speaking terms. Izuku hated him with a passion, and Hisashi was well aware.
So if he was here, then he knew. And the thought alone made Izuku want to puke. It was like everything in him was revolting, his heart racing, his stomach clenching, and every muscle on his body was tense beyond belief. He was starting to struggle to breathe. All he wanted was to call Tomura.
But he was interrupted when he heard the door slam open, and Dabi had grabbed Hisashi by the arm, his skin smoking, as he threw his disgusting father into the room.
Suddenly, the panic racing through him vanished, and rage and fury set fire to his heart.
Someone was infringing on his nest and putting his pup in danger.
And Izuku’s inner omega was absolutely not having it. Everything inside him wanted to rip into the man. Just a moment ago, Izuku was beside himself with worry, but the moment his instincts took over and his father had trespassed into his space, all bets were off.
Izuku marched up to him and grabbed his father by the arm so fast the old man was reeling. He twisted him around, and with Hisashi’s arm pinned behind his back, Izuku shoved him into the wall.
His omega fangs were small, but he was able to muster a growl as Dabi closed the door.
“What the fuck are you doing here? What could have possibly made you think it was a good idea to come here?!”
Hisashi smirked, dangerous and disgusting, as he looked down at Izuku. “Oh, I think it was a great idea to come here.”
“I’m going to do something I’ll regret if you get even a step closer to my nest.”
“Tch,” Hisashi scoffed. “I’m not afraid of you.”
“You should be,” Dabi drawled. “He’s not going to put up with your shit. So you better get this over with real quick before someone does something messy.”
Izuku gave a brief smile to Dabi, thankful for the backup as always—even if he didn’t really need it. Because Hisashi might talk a big game, but he was a sniveling little coward. And he’d always been afraid of Tomura. All Izuku had to do was mention his alpha, and Hisashi would go along with whatever Izuku had asked.
And he could smell the bits of fear on the man. Even being a beta with a faint scent, Hisashi had always smelled disgusting and pathetic. Izuku almost got a little satisfaction from it, realizing that maybe he didn’t have to worry as much as he thought he did. After all, he was a force to be reckoned with, and even more so with Tomura by his side.
With the anger and confidence-building up with the threat in front of him, Izuku let himself sneer at the man.
“Let’s get this over with, dad.”
“You already know why you’re here. Your pathetic mother almost immediately let it spill that you’re pregnant, and I’m here to see if it’s true.”
“Then you have your answer. And if you’re smart, you won’t do anything about it.”
“Yeah, that’s not going to happen,” Hisashi sneered. “I want your alpha to put in a good word for me. I’ve always been loyal, and I deserve a higher place in the league.”
“Why would Tomura do that?” Izuku asked, cocking an eyebrow at his father.
“Why wouldn’t he? Or is it not even his? I bet you sleep around with all these filthy alphas. Does Tomura pass you around? I bet he does.”
Izuku’s father was a piece of work, but he’d never insulted Izuku like that before. Tomura would have killed him immediately if he had, and Hisashi knew that. Izuku knew he probably felt brave with Tomura on the other side of the country. He’d been too shocked to even respond.
But Dabi wasn’t.
“You fucking piece of shit, I’ll kill you!”
“Oh? Are you fucking him too? Didn’t think Izuku would stoop so low as to let even an omega fuck him. My son, nothing but a whore. Who woulda thought?”
Dabi moved to attack him. Izuku was only brought out of his stupor by the sudden heat of Dabi’s hand lighting up in flames. He immediately stepped between them, and Dabi immediately turned off his quirk.
“The fuck?! Let me kill him, Izu!” Dabi screamed.
“No! We can’t! Sensei is already suspicious. If we kill him, it’ll be obvious it was to keep him quiet!”
“I don’t give a fuck. I’ll kill them all if that means I get to set his ass on fire.”
Izuku almost smiled. Dabi’s protective instincts were always comforting, even in moments when the older omega took it a bit too far. But it settled him enough to whip around on his father, still standing between them.
“I should let him kill you. But instead, we’ll have mercy this time. But if you tell anyone. Especially Sensei, I won’t stop them. Because if you think burning alive is bad, Tomura will do something much worse.”
The nauseating arrogance on his father’s face thankfully melted away, and the fear returned more evident as he skittered away from Dabi towards the door.
Izuku laughed, the sound dark and mean. “Yeah, run away. Coward.”
Before leaving the room, Hisashi reared up and glared back at them. “I’ll be back. And you better have your fucking dogs on a leash because I’ll get what I want.”
Then Hisashi was out the door, and Izuku was immediately flooded with relief that the threatening presence was gone. All the strength and anger sapped the energy from his body as he slumped back into Dabi’s arms.
Before they could take their places in the nest, though, a portal suddenly opened in front of them, and Tomura stepped through. He looked livid—hair wild and eyes full of unmasked fury. Izuku could never tell if he thought his alpha was beautiful or terrifying in moments like this. But his black clothes hugged his body, and his red trench coat billowed behind him as he walked up to the bed.
Izuku almost cried at the familiar pheromones filling the room, even if his inner omega was whining at the anger and pain in his alpha’s scent. He wanted to bury himself in Tomura and never leave.
He didn’t get to, though, before Tomura held up his phone and growled. “If I get another call where I hear someone threaten you from the background again, I’m going to fucking kill someone, Izuku.”

Chapter Text
Despite still feeling on edge and threatened, Izuku threw himself into his alpha’s arms and buried his face in Tomura’s chest. All of his instincts were soothed the moment his inner omega recognized their protector was there. And if he’d been even slightly less afraid, he would have sneered at his own neediness.
But all he wanted was the safety and comfort that his alpha provided. Screw looking strong—Hisashi was gone, and he needed his alpha. He could be prideful later.
And it helped that Tomura seemed just as desperate. He was holding Izuku so tight he could barely move, and the alpha was trembling with thinly veiled rage and panic. Which was the only thing that pulled Izuku out of his own state of terror. He knew from experience that a Tomura this upset killed people. And the last thing they needed was chaos and disorder.
Izuku tried to squirm just enough to look up at Tomura, freeing an arm to reach up and caress the alpha’s cheek. “Hey, I’m fine.”
“You’re not. Don’t bullshit me, Izuku. There’s no point in lying. I could smell your distress from the other side of the fucking country.”
“He didn’t touch us, though. We’re both fine.”
“He threatened what’s mine. He threatened our pup.”
“I know, I know. But I’m safe. Sensei hasn’t done anything. And my father is a coward. Everything will be alright.”
“It will be. When I kill him.”
Izuku tensed. “Tomura…”
“I know he’s your father, but I do not give a shit. He threatened my family, Izuku.”
“It’s not about me! It’s about my mom, and you know that.”
Tomura laughed, low and cruel and angry—it sent a shiver down Izuku’s spine. “Your mom? You know she betrayed you, right? She’s a traitor, Izuku. How else would he know you’re pregnant?”
Izuku froze.
It made sense, of course. There was no way he could have known otherwise. The only other people who knew would never betray him. And he knew it was a possibility. His mom loved him, sure, but she was a coward. Her fear of his father was nothing compared to her love for him. And he wanted to be sympathetic. It felt wrong, but suddenly none of that mattered anymore. She jeopardized the safety of his pup.
Izuku couldn’t justify it anymore. He was done making excuses, and a horrible feeling slithered through him like a vine taking root in his heart. The fear dissipated in the face of rage and hatred as thorns dug into his soul. But along with that came so much pain.
He choked back some noise but couldn’t tell if it was a scream or a sob.
But it didn’t matter. Tomura pulled him in closer to bury his head back in his chest to muffle his sounds of anguish. It felt like an earthquake had come in and destroyed the very foundation of his life. His mom had made the ultimate betrayal. His pup was in danger because of the woman who would have loved him enough to protect them.
It felt like his heart was splitting in two, and the rage started to give way to despair.
Izuku wanted to fall apart.
Thankfully, his alpha knew him so well. Tomura scooped him into a bridal carry, holding him to his chest as he carried them back to their nest. Dabi followed them, and they all crawled into it, basking in the warmth and safety that slowly seeped into their bones. With both of them wrapped around him, he felt himself calm down.
“You alright?” Tomura asked.
Izuku nodded weakly. “Getting there.”
“Don’t worry too much, baby. I’ll take care of all of it. If it means I can kill them, then so be it.”
Too tired to argue, Izuku just closed his eyes. He wouldn’t let Tomura kill them, but that didn’t mean they had to argue about it today. Izuku just didn’t have the energy.
They’d deal with it first thing in the morning. They couldn’t delay it, he knew that. But he found himself slipping away, wrapped in comforting pheromones and muscular arms.
When Izuku woke up the following day everything was sore. He’d slept way too long, nearly 16 hours. But once he remembered everything that had happened yesterday, he felt like he deserved to sleep a little extra. He was making a pup, damn it. If he needed more rest, he was going to take it.
But that didn’t stop him from feeling guilty when he realized Tomura’s pheromones smelled agitated and unhappy. Izuku sat up to look for his alpha but found himself alone. Tomura’s scent was fresh enough that he must have only been gone for a little while. But the pheromones were bothering him, so he crawled out of bed and tossed off his clothes to put on some fresh ones before heading out into the rest of the compound to track down his mate.
It wasn’t exactly hard. He just followed Tomura’s scent as it got stronger. Tomura smelled like he was on the edge of either a panic attack or a murder spree. Izuku couldn’t remember the last time his pheromones were so horrible.
Ever since they mated, Tomura kept that scent under control around him. And it didn’t exactly bode well for their afternoon.
Thankfully, it didn’t take long to track him down. He was upstairs in the bar, pacing around in front of Kurogiri. It was eerily silent, and it was clear that everyone was avoiding him. Even Himiko was off at one of the other tables, playing on her switch and only barely keeping an eye on the distressed alpha. Izuku couldn’t blame them; Tomura wasn’t exactly the most stable person. He could easily lash out, even if Izuku knew he’d never hurt any of them on purpose.
Even his inner omega whimpered in fear at the tension and the scent in the bar. But Izuku pushed it aside. His instincts might have been acting up, but he knew that was all it was.
He had unerring confidence in his alpha as he walked up behind him and wrapped his arms around his middle. Izuku buried his head in Tomura’s back and held him tightly. He tensed for a moment, but then he let out a deep sigh as he moved to hold Izuku’s hands.
“Why the fuck did you sleep so long for? I was worried, moron!”
Izuku giggled, feeling better as Tomura’s scent started to relax. “Sorry, guess my HP was low. Needed to replenish it.”
“Don’t make fun of me. I hate you,” Tomura groused.
“No, you don’t.”
“Tch. Whatever,” he grumbled.
Izuku was just about to tease him again, trying to lighten his mood more before he asked what happened. But before he got the chance, Kurogiri spoke up.
“Tomura, my apologies, but it is time.”
A portal opened by the front door, and immediately the feeling in the room shifted. The tension in the room skyrocketed. Everything was suddenly dark and heavy—weighing down on everyone’s shoulders. The dread crawled inside their chests, settling in their bones and creeping into their veins until Izuku felt it take root in his heart.
Sensei stepped into the room.
Izuku nearly felt his knees give out as he started to tremble. He could usually tolerate Sensei’s scent and presence, but he was far more vulnerable than normal. Thankfully, none of that weakness showed as Tomura kept him on his feet.
But it didn’t keep the panic away. Izuku had to shove it down himself, hiding it so deeply that, hopefully, even Sensei couldn’t sense it.
He failed to hide anything. The man turned to look at them, and even without eyes, Izuku could sense they were narrowed in disgust and disappointment. “How pathetic. I expected more,” he sneered.
Tomura growled but said nothing—holding Izuku tighter.
Sensei chuckled, low and cruel. “What? Nothing to say for yourselves? You should be on your knees groveling for my forgiveness.”
“We don’t have shit to apologize for.”
“Oh, don’t you? You kept such happy news from me. You lied about it even. Surely, I deserve an apology.”
“It’s none of your fucking business.”
“How did I ever raise such an ungrateful child,” Sensei sighed. “I can’t believe you wouldn’t tell me you were having a pup. It’s such a miracle. Pups are something special, you know? Unless you’re not happy?”
“This pup is mine. I don’t have to tell you everything,” Tomura growled.
Sensei’s facade of patience dropped away, and his scent intensified—gasoline and fire—like destruction raining down on everything. It stuck to the roof of Izuku’s mouth and burned his nostrils, clawing its way into Izuku’s head and killing his willpower to stand on his own two feet. He wanted to submit so badly. And if Tomura wasn’t there, wrapped around him, he would have.
He turned just enough to bury his nose in Tomura’s chest, sucking up lungfuls of his comforting scent to counteract Sensei’s noxious presence.
Thankfully, it worked. Strength returned to his legs as he turned back around, staying in Tomura’s arms but facing Sensei. With each passing second, he felt like he was going to throw up, but with the grounding presence of his mate, he was finally able to open his mouth without puking.
“Sensei, with all due respect, it’s still early. We haven’t told anyone, really, and we’re not even obligated to.”
“Oh, sweet Izuku. Of course you are. You both belong to me. You are two of my most prized possessions. My precious successor and his whore who makes it so much easier for me to control Tomura.”
Izuku flinched at the word, and Tomura let out a piercing growl. Everyone else in the bar, who were initially watching in shock, all reacted. Everyone but Sensei submitted to Tomura immediately.
“If you call him that again, I’ll kill you.”
“You are strong. But you cannot kill me. And I would kill your little whore before you could even reach me.”
“Threaten him one more time.” Tomura snarled.
Izuku recognized what was happening immediately. Sensei was trying to goad him into a fight. Izuku wasn’t sure why, but it was either to kill Tomura to easily take the pup or to cause Izuku to die or lose the baby. Either way, a fight right now was not the answer. He couldn’t let it happen. They had to get a grip on the situation.
“Tomura. Alpha. You don’t really want to fight him. He’s just trying to rile you up.”
“No, Izu, I really do. I want to rip his fucking head off and defeat the final boss.”
Izuku turned and grabbed Tomura’s hair, shoving his alpha’s face into his scent gland as he forced himself to pour out comforting pheromones. “You’re just territorial because I’m pregnant,” Izuku lied.
“You have got to be–”
Izuku cut him off, addressing Sensei. “Sensei, I’m sorry. Our instincts have been pretty uncontrollable. We should probably go back to our nest now.”
“Hm. Nice attempt, Izuku. But you will not leave until I get what I came for.”
Tomura pulled back from sucking in Izuku’s pheromones and glared at the other alpha. “You’re not getting anything, asshole.”
“Oh, but I am. You know the rules, Tomura. I always get what I want.”
“Not this time. You’ll fail this quest, and I’ll win.”
“Awfully bold, aren’t you?” Sensei asked, letting out mocking laughter. “Not hiding your true feelings anymore? You really want to kill me after I saved you all those years ago?”
“I will if you threaten what’s mine.”
Izuku expected another scathing retort from Sensei, so he was unfortunately unprepared when Sensei grabbed Izuku and ripped him from Tomura’s arms. The whole bar lunged forward. Every League member was prepared to grab Izuku and bring him back into their pack’s safety.
Even the perilously loyal Kurogiri looked ready to step in.
But none of them could move because Sensei put his palm over Izuku’s stomach.
Terror flooded his entire being.
It felt like the whole world had stopped. He could feel something crawling up his throat, like he was about to puke or scream. Panic took control of every inch of him, though, and he couldn’t even move—too afraid to move and anger Sensei.
Everyone else was just as frozen with the scent of terror pouring off of them. It was like the room dropped 20 degrees in just a single heartbeat.
Sensei laughed. “You’re all listening now, yes? Good.”
“Give him back,” Tomura choked out.
“Happily. I am not taking your mate from you, Tomura. I just need you to listen and respect my wishes.”
“W-What do you want?”
“The pup, of course.”
“No!” Izuku and Tomura screamed.
“You have no right to complain. You’ve brought this on yourself, young ones. It’s Tomura’s fault for failing to be my successor. Even if I killed this whore, you could never be what I wanted from you, Tomura.”
“You can’t have them!”
“Oh, but I can. Because either I have them, or they die along with Izuku. Right now. It would be so easy, you know. He’s so weak and quirkless.”
“No, stop,” Tomura started to beg.
“You have a choice, Tomura. You get Izuku, and I get the pup. Or they both die.”
Tomura screamed and threw his head back, his hands digging into his own scalp. Izuku could see blood blooming in his snowy white locks. The sound echoed around the room, rattling Izuku’s brain so badly that his heart must have stopped beating. Once he ran out of air, he collapsed to his knees, looking down at the floor. Izuku so desperately wanted to go to him. He needed to hold and be held.
But the room stayed still. Izuku couldn’t tell you for how long, though. It could have been seconds, or it could have been hours. It felt torturous either way. The hand on his stomach was making his skin crawl and stealing every ounce of determination he had just a few moments ago. And Tomura’s screams were killing him.
Izuku was sure he was going to die.
He would never get to touch Tomura again. Their pup would never get to take their first breaths. Izuku’s heart would stop, and he’d be leaving behind the people he loved. He looked around the League for what felt like the last time, trying to give weak smiles to all of them so they could see him like that one more time.
But then his eyes landed on Dabi. The other omega looked devastated and furious. Like he wanted to steal Izuku away and burn down the rest of the planet. He hadn’t even looked that upset when he told Izuku about his family for the first time.
It was the final push off the cliff, shattering his heart as his sobs and screams started to match Tomura’s. Suddenly, he didn’t feel like an 18-year-old who’d grown up too fast. He was just a scared teenager again. The walls he’d built over the years shattered, and every weakness he had came spilling out in the tears that dripped down his cheeks.
A crack of pain suddenly spread across his cheek, the sound echoing around the room like an alarm that silenced both Tomura’s and Izuku’s screams.
Sensei had slapped him.
Tomura was up on his feet before Izuku could take another breath. He grabbed Izuku’s arm and pulled him away. “You can have whatever you want, but you can’t have Izuku. Now get the fuck out.”
“Happily. I got what I wanted, after all.” Sensei mocked, turning away. “Kurogiri.”
A portal opened immediately, and the man walked through it. It snapped closed the second he was gone, his vicious and nauseating presence disappearing with him. Everyone collapsed to the ground simultaneously, their puppet strings being dropped without the presence of the man who controlled them.
Luckily, when Izuku fell, he fell into the arms of his alpha so he could bury his head in Tomura’s chest just as the sobs came back to him.

I'm so sorry it took so long!! I was in a bunch of other projects, and I also had to send a rocket to the moon. But that's all done and finished and junk, so I'm hoping to update this about once a week from now on!!
I love you all very much and hope you still enjoy this fic!!
And feel free to find me on my Twitter!! I love making new friends, when I'm not being shy lolol.
