Chapter Text
There is a pain, the worst kind. The invisible, the emotional kind. Yet I invite its inevitability, as long as you are happy I will except this pain . . . I will be there with you.
I will stand by you. I will share the burden of your sorrow, I will offer comfort. As long as you are content. There is a pleasure, too, in this trial. A reprieve.
A release from the anguish that circles my thoughts most days. As I have said, I suffer. There are mornings when I have, every night, passed out from sheer exhaustion, before I have the courage to wake again, only to bear witness to your affection for another. But I bear it, I do. Because that is what I must do.
Chapter 2: Soul
Notes:
Here's another one.
Chapter Text
In my dreams you are mine, in mind, body, and soul. But when I wake, the pain becomes too much to bear. I hope you'll understand my need to talk about this with you before we die, maybe we can build a new world.
For what is life, if not love?
That is a tricky question, for it can never be answered with a single word. For me, it is a bittersweet mystery of past, present, and future. We cannot comprehend it at first, for it is not something we can directly experience. Love is a powerful drug, but I must overcome it to bring you your throne.
