Chapter Text

The 24 contestants of Total Drama Island were waiting by the Dock of Shame at Camp Wawanakwa for the boats that would take them back after the end of it all. After all those weeks of gruelling challenges and drama, it was nice for it all to end but it wasn't all bad. They enjoyed some of the challenges and they all have found new friends amongst their fellow campers at the island, except for a certain bald headed Heather.

Some not only had new friends but new loves as well.

Case in point the most popular newly formed couple in the show...

Lincoln Loud the only American among the 23 other Canadians and Dawn were embracing eachother wanting to make the most of their physical time together before they leave and Lincoln would be on a plane back to Michigan in the United States.
"You won't forget or lose the numbers to call me right? You will call regularly right and you won't forget me?" Dawn asked looking quite uncharacteristically frantic as she was talking to him. Lincoln started giving soothing words to her. "Sorry Lincoln, I never had a boyfriend before and I am scared of being in a long distance relationship." Dawn apologised as Lincoln smiled at her thinking back to when Lori when she was still dating Bobby 5 years ago would spend most of her time on the phone with him.

"Don't worry, Lori made it work when her now husband Bobby moved to a city and Ronnie was living there as well and we made it work... Before it fell apart..." Lincoln assured her his voice getting more awkward at the reminder of his ex-girlfriend. "Trust me, this work out as you are one of the best things that happened to me in a long time." Lincoln told her as they lessened their embrace while smiling at eachother.
"Why don't you two get a room or just go back to your old Bass cabin." Duncan teased with some snickers from the other contestants but most found it adorable to red cheeks of Lincoln and Dawn as the couple glared at Duncan.

"Going to miss you my bro from across the pond." DJ told Lincoln and he smiled at him in response; he did feel like a brother just as Clyde and Bobby did.

"The big party with my winnings, I will make your last memory of your trip here something to remember." Gwen the Total Drama Island winner told him hand in hand with Trent, the two the other big new couple formed on the show.

"Thanks Gwen and congrats again on winning, I will definitely miss all of you the friends that I have made here." Lincoln told them smiling but glared as his gaze went upon Heather who was by herself with her arms folded. "Most of you anyway..." Lincoln corrected himself but then there was a certain platypus running towards Lincoln and Dawn and they happily picked up the little platypus with a combined hug. "I will definitely miss you next to Dawn the most Edward, I didn't think that I would have to say goodbye to you." Lincoln told the little creature with tears coming from her eye.

"Don't be so quick to say goodbye Lincoln." The voice of the host Chris McLean said as he came forward with cameramen behind him along with Chef Hatchet who was carrying boxes. "I have a big surprise for you." Chris said handing over some papers and forms. "You will need to sign some stuff but the producers and I have arranged for you to officially adopt Edward so Lincoln you will not have to say goodbye to him." Chris said much to the stunned silence as Lincoln and Dawn were shocked but then Lincoln started happily hugging Edward.

"Wow! Thanks so much Chris! You are going to love it back home but I will need to teach you how to be safe which means staying clear from Lana's pets!" Lincoln said as Dawn was happy but then frowned as she came closer to Chris.

"I am thankful as well Chris but your aura suggests that you have an ulterior motive behind this." Dawn commented as Lincoln and the others looked at Chris suspiciously.
"This is nothing more out of the goodness of my heart." Chris claimed shaking his head.

Chris was in his luxury trailer sighing while on his laptop on his desk going through all his new emails and sorting them into the folders that he had to make. The folder names included: "ACTIVISTS COMPLAINTS", "NOTICES FROM THE PRODUCERS", "JOB OFFERS", "EX-GIRLFREIND NOTICES", "NOTICES FROM LAWYERS", "NOTICES FROM MY AGENT", "COMPLAINTS ABOUT LETTING HEATHER FIX THE VOTE TO ELIMINATE DAWN" and "DEMANDING TO KNOW IF I PLAN ON SEPERATING DAWNCOLN FROM THEIR SON". The last one had an overflowing number of messages.

"Chef, I have a plan and I am going to need to file some papers to make it work but when it's ready I want a camera team ready to pick up the footage for use for some major PR." Chris called out having spent about 24 minutes sorting through the messages and he was only about almost halfway done.

Chris glared at the looks he was getting from his statement as he said "I am too a generous and kind person, which I think you should know from how I am not having you lot billed for my dry cleaning from being thrown off the Dock!" he then cleared his voice and said "plus Chef and I have one last gift for each and every one of you all."
This got them excited as Chef came over but soon it died down as Chef started handing them "I COMPETED ON TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS T-SHIRT" shirts. Chris saw their looks that were weirded out and Chris told them "just think of how big collector's items they are with how popular this show has gotten. You could probably sell them and make about four times as much as Gwen made actually winning this contest!"

"I am so glad that I never have to deal with you again Chris." Gwen told him and Chris grinned at her.

"About that, I expect a portion of you all to be back for Season 2 and before you say anything it was covered in the fine print of your contract." Chris replied much to their shock and Gwen's irritation.

"At least this means that we could see eachother again in person real soon." Dawn told Lincoln as they smiled at the thought as they then noticed the boats coming to take them away.

As they then left Chris went to a helicopter ride that would take him to a meeting scheduled with the show's producers.

Chris had made it to the meeting and was smirking as he was sitted with the producers as well as some bigwigs at the studio watching the presentation being done by an employee with graphs showing the ratings and critical hit that Total Drama Island turned out to be along with the projected sales of the merchandise coming with the royalties to the campers being outlined in the contracts that they signed.

Off course they would just choose who to market because with how he got eliminated, hardly anyone was going to spend much money on an Ezekiel shirt.

The charts showing the demand for Heather merchandise was quite astonishingly impressive indeed, for how in the negative numbers they were. Stores were estimated to have to pay people to take them off their hands.

Merchandise potential was quite high for the other high ranking contestants though, especially the winner Gwen. However the charts showing the popularity of Lincoln and Dawn was quite a sight to behold.

The episodes where they both individually got eliminated had the most backlash in terms of episodes (in terms of moments there was the accidental hawk shooting) and the episode where they finally got together easily was the highest rated and most popular episode. The final challenge episode only barely was close.

It was estimated that a DVD compilation release of just all their moments together and individually would sell as well as the first season set.

"On the topic of Mr Loud and Ms Moonbeam, the producers and I have come to talking about green lighting a spinoff featuring the young couple. See about having Ms Moonbeam travel to Michigan for the show to be filmed there." The bigwig executive spoke as Chris looked interested but the employee making the presentation looked nervous.

"About that..." he said nervously.

"Chris, can we expect you to host again?" one of the producers asked as Chris grinned.

"Well you see..." the employee continued speaking trying to get their attention.
"You bet you can, I have grown a soft spot for the young scamps." Chris answered without hesitation. "Lincoln having ten sisters back home and dealing with them would make tremendous TV and I now already am brainstorming so many ideas..." Chris continued on.

"There is a problem!" the employee shouted as their eyes then turned to him with Chris being especially unhappy about being interrupted. "We would need to convince them as the contestants contracts... They cover nothing about spinoffs..." He was forced to admit passing by copies of the two contestants in question's contracts so they could look through it over as well and sure enough nothing about spinoffs.
"What? What short sighted moron is responsible for this?" Chris demanded his ideas being dashed in his mind.

"That would actually be your Mr McLean." The employee had to admit as Chris glared at him wondering what he meant. "Don't you remember McLean, there was so much to cover in the contracts and you considered requirements for spinoffs being a non priority as you said that you didn't think the viewers would reasonably want to see more of them out of endangering themselves in challenges or tension amongst themselves." The employee said as Chris had a look of shock as he remembered saying something along those words himself.

With all eyes on him Chris gave a fake smile and assured them saying "don't worry about this, I will contact the two myself about negotiations for this and I promise that it will happen. We are all practically friends now."

"See that it does happen Chris or the timeslot that we were planning for the spinoff will be used to keep running the only episode of your little cooking show." The executive warned him and Chris cringed so hard that it physically hurt. He then nodded understanding but soon relaxed.

How hard could it be to negotiate with two teens?

Lincoln had gone off the flight and collected Edward in his carrying place, along with his luggage he was wandering about the airport before getting to the doors but found to his surprise a certain young adult couple: Bobby & Lori Santiago along with a baby in her arms.

"Hi Lincoln! We both offered to pick you up ourselves and this would be the perfect way to introduce you to your new nephew. Lincoln meet Leon and Leon meet your Uncle Lincoln." Lori explained and Lincoln took a closer look and smiled at little Leon who then smiled and laughed at Lincoln's face.

"Lincoln bro, I have been watching from the start and I am so proud of you! Those challenges were beyond unfair but you still pulled through and what Heather done to you and Dawn... Well, my family was shocked to say the least by my language. When Lori learned about what I said... Well I know now not to use it with Leon around." Bobby told him and Lincoln smiled at his brother in law though Lori shook her head at the last of Bobby's statement.

Then a thought...

"Thanks Bobby but... About Dawn and Ronnie Anne..." Lincoln brought up nervously but Bobby put a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't sweat it, I love my sister but she was being petty. I was with everyone else in waiting for you and Dawn to get together." Bobby assured him and Lincoln smiled but Lori sighed. The fact that Bobby actually sided with Lincoln over the break up led to what was one of the few quarrel of his and Lori's married life.

Lincoln then nervously looked towards Lori who sighed and said "it took me a while to start to accept it but... I am happy for you and Dawn." She then followed it up with a small smile which Lincoln returned.

"Thanks Lori, great to hear it as we don't see eye to eye on a lot of things especially the break up but you're still my sister and it does mean a lot to have your support on it." Lincoln told her which was then followed by a someone making a brrbbb sound. Lincoln laughed holding up Edward's case saying "Lori, Bobby and Leon; please welcome the other newest member of the Loud family Edward."

"Wow the little platypus dude! Became your biggest friend after what happened with Heather in the deer and hunters episode! I couldn't believe that the show let you bring him home with you." Bobby said excited looking at his cage with Leon's arms reaching out to the cage.

"Sorry Leon but your cousin has to stay in his cage and you are too little to play with him." Lori said as they heard Lincoln's phone ringing and the number was registered as coming from Chris to their surprise.

Lincoln offered to put it on speaker so they could all talk to him but then Lori asked Bobby if he could take Leon to the car to wait for them as she didn't trust Chris not to say something that Leon shouldn't hear. Bobby nodded and Lincoln answered it with Chris saying "what's up Lincoln? I imagine your flight back home went alright?"
"Thanks Chris and it did, I am just being picked up by my oldest sister Lori and her husband Bobby." Lincoln replied wondering what the reason for this call would be.
"I can imagine that if they take after your parents then there won't be a shortage of kids calling you Uncle Lincoln." laughed Chris as Lincoln was taken aback but Lori glared at the phone.

"Very funny Mr McLean, Mrs Lori Santiago here with my brother." Lori said to the phone wishing he could see her glaring.

"Right... Wait Santiago? Sounds familiar...." Chris asked his face sounding like he was trying to remember something and they stared at eachother.
"Well my ex-girlfriend Ronnie Anne who also auditioned for the show. She's Bobby's little sister." Lincoln explained as there was a pause and Lincoln was about to ask if he was still there.

"Let me get this straight you were dating the sister of your brother in law? Is that even allowed in America? What were your plans if you two had ended up wanting to get married? A moot point now but still?" Chris asked in disbelief as Lincoln took this in and Lori glared at the phone with Lincoln sighing at the marriage part.
It was no secret that was her planned endgame for him and Ronnie Anne.
"Anyway, why are you calling Chris? Is this about the next season?" Lincoln asked wanting to get back to the point.

"Well Lincoln you should expect me to start singing Disney's You've Got a Friend Like Me as I am about to make your biggest wishes come true. I am offering you a spinoff to be filmed right in your hometown with Dawn as your co-star! Say the word and we can have the new contract for you to sign." Chris said sounding confident as Lincoln looked like he was about to blow from excitement.

Being able to see Dawn again so soon!

"That sounds great Mr McLean but our family can just arrange the travel arrangements for Dawn to come here." Lori said at once getting a thought and then covered Lincoln's mouth before he could ask what she was doing.

"No need for that Mrs Santiago, we would fully cover Dawn's travel expenses same as we did for Lincoln." Chris said his voice sounding a bit more nervous.
"We could always travel to meet her in Canada ourselves; we haven't had a big foreign vacation since we went to visit ancestors in Scotland half a decade ago." Lori continue don as Lincoln managed to force her hand from his mouth.

"No need to do that..." Chris asked this time sounding desperate which Lincoln caught.
"What does Dawn say about this and what does our contracts say?" Lincoln asked catching on.

"Well we contacted her first and she said she wanted to talk to you about it after we informed you. As for the contacts well..." Chris replied and Lincoln started smirking.
"You know Dawn and I didn't care much about the fame or the money especially Dawn and it would be nice to have more of our relationship to be just between us and not for the cameras." Lincoln said as there was panicked sounds from the phone. "Tell you what Chris, how about I contact Dawn to talk it over and then we can see about having a video call between us all for negotiations especially when we get our lawyer involved." Lincoln said thinking of the lawyer that Leni had gotten from her fashion job to look over Lincoln's contact for the show before he signed.

"Fine..." Chris muttered sounding not pleased at all as Lincoln looked at Lori smirking at him as they went to go to Lori and Bobby's car.

"You are welcome Lincoln and you are lucky to have a big sister like me to stop you from making such a big mistake and let the celebrity TV host hook you right in as if he was fishing for suckers." Lori told him as Lincoln thought about messaging Dawn once they had gotten to the car.

"I may not have been able to read his aura when he called but I could tell that there was an ulterior motive but I wanted to discuss it with you before I agreed or denied anything. My parents even said they wanted their lawyer to look over any new papers to sign. They already had one hired when I arrived home saying they were planning on a lawsuit for how I was eliminated. Wasn't thrilled about having a lawyer involve but they insisted." Dawn told Lincoln while on the phone with him in Lori and Bobby's car sitting next to Edward in his case. Little Leon had a seat with a baby carriage while Bobby drove.

Lincoln could get Dawn's discomfort about a lawyer being involved but at the same time if her parents were watching and supporting her on the show well then they would not have been happy to see how she had gotten eliminated.

"I knew something was fishy too... Well Lori caught on first and then me but the point still is. I know we are not big on fame and fortune but what do you want to do Dawn? It would be cool to have you here in Royal Woods but to have our loved lives be put on TV again? Plus who knows what Chris has planned for this spinoff?" Lincoln asked and he heard a happy sigh on the other end.

"Honestly as long as you agree as well, I would be up for anything with you. Plus being able to get to see you again and see all your friends and family back in your hometown. It would be a real joy!" Dawn replied and Lincoln smiled at her answer.

"Well that means we will see eachother again on the video call for the negotiations. I will see you later Dawn." Lincoln told her but then a 'brrbbbrrr' sound came from the platypus case next to him causing Leon to start giggling. "Oh yeah, Edward wants to say goodbye to you too Dawn." Lincoln said putting the phone next to the case allowing Edward to make his sound as well.

"Goodbye to you see Edward, I hope to see you and Lincoln soon!" Dawn cheerfully said as the call ended. Lincoln then thought about going home after all of the weeks that he had just had. Soon they got to the neighbourhood of the Loud House and the car parked right at it.

Lincoln smiled at the sight of the Loud House as he carried out his luggage in one hand and then Edward's case in the others. "Edward, welcome to the Loud House and this is going to be your new home." Lincoln told Edward putting his case right next to his face for Edward to make his sound. "Want me to let you out of the case after I get in so you can explore the house?" Lincoln offered but Edward shook his head making Lincoln sigh.

He was indeed a lazybones...

"I wonder if they have something special for me to returning home..." Lincoln wondered as Lori and Bobby let him open the door with Lincoln jumping at the surprise shouting as there was a whole party set up with streamers and all sorts of his favourite sweets there.

"Welcome home Lincoln, we are so proud of how well you have done in the show!" Rita cried as she and her husband Lynn Jr pulled him into a hug.

"Come on Mom, Dad: save enough of Lincoln for the rest of us!" shouted Luan as the other 9 Loud sisters pushed their parents away to embrace Lincoln and he happily returned it.

"So proud of you bro!" Luna told him with tears in her eyes.

"Shame that you didn't win though." Lynn Jr said.

"But you did your best and it was very good!" Lily said.

"But you like still got a cool new girlfriend out of it!" Leni said.

"Even if she is super weird..." Luan said only to start yelling as one of them had stood on her foot for her remark.

"I really liked her from the beginning." Lucy said.

"She was so cool and so were you!" Lana said.

"Even if she breaks all the rules of science..." Lisa muttered still a bit bitter.

"You are now a local celebrity and should start acting like it." Lola finished as they finally let go.

"No way, is that Edward! I still can't believe that you got to bring him home!" Leni shouted getting the case from Lincoln as the sisters began swooning over him and Lana let him out because she wanted to hold him but he jumped out of her grasp.

Lincoln laughed at Lana's desperation and picked him up to take him to his room along with his stuff before he went back down for the rest of the party. He took Edward to his two bed room and put him down, the very same room that was off limits to him except for a family meeting as it was once the room shared by both Lori and Leni.

Lincoln saw his local group of friends Clyde, Stella, Zach, Liam and Rusty and went to greet them as they welcomed him back and showed their excitement for what happened in the show. "We have all been watching the show together and you were amazing. You totally would have went to the final two with Dawn if it wasn't for that Heather bitch." Clyde told him and Lincoln laughed.

"I am satisfied with what happened everyone, I have made new friends and got a great new girlfriend." Lincoln told them and they smiled happy for him.

"Quite a looker as well..." Rusty said before being punched in the arm by Stella.

"Hey brah, we prepared this for you: you're own private concert by the Moon Goats." Luna said going to the instruments with her bandmates including Mazzy, Sully and off course her girlfriend Sam Sharp. They then performed their own cover of the Total Drama theme song I Wanna Be Famous which sounded quite rocking. Bobby had taken Leon to one of the rooms because they thought that the party might scare him.

After they started tucking into the treats for the party Luan came up to Lincoln and asked "so how is the party Lincoln? Bet you never had a party on this level before."

Lincoln managed a laugh and said "don't get me wrong this party is great but our own after private after party that Gwen hosted after we left the Island and the night before my flight... It was something and I don't know if words could do it justice." Lincoln said as Lisa then got a laptop out.

"Well if I can get everyone's attention, I was alerted that the winner Gwen on her online video account just uploaded a video about the party if you all want to join me." Lisa told them and they crowded behind her to take a look at the video.
There was Gwen in her bedroom greeting the camera "what's up viewers, it's Total Drama Island winner Gwen here finally home after the hardest few weeks of my entire life but you can expect me back on the show for Season 2... whether I want to or not... Anyway after we left that dumpster fire of a summer camp I hosted the biggest party ever and here are some highlights."
Most looked on in amazement as it looked to be in a big hotel suite with colored lights and loud music.
Then there was the camera view of Heather being forced into a dunk tank with instead of water there was soda with most of them at the party grinning.

"Don't be like that Heather, the votes were tallied and counted and you were chosen for this dunk tank!" Gwen told Heather smirking as the mean girl had her wig fall off.

"Noah and I counted and recounted the votes very clear: 84 to 1." Courtney told Heather and Noah nodded along with her.

"You all cheated! There isn't even anywhere close to that number here are this stupid party!" Heather complained as Courtney and Noah had mock looks of shock on them.

"Are you accusing someone of messing with the ballots?" Harold asked as Lincoln and Dawn who were hand in hand were snickering behind their free hands.

"Oh my... This is literally too perfect..." Lori muttered with the biggest smile with the same sentiment amongst the other viewers as they watched a montage of Heather kept falling into the dunk tank, the Loud family remembered how Lori was the loudest and angriest when they saw what Heather pulled.

Then there was a montage of other things but then it showed some of them at the karaoke machine. "This was the highlight of the party for most of us and a certain couple who refused to leave eachother's sides during the party had to be 'encouraged' to take part." Gwen said as it saw Dawn red in the face as she was getting to the machine and there was Lincoln having to be dragged by a head hold by Duncan. Then it showed them performing Grease's Summer Nights with DJ, Geoff and Harold being the other guys and Courtney, Bridgette and Lindsay being the other girls.

The guests squealed as Lincoln smiled embarrassed, at least Gwen knew to leave out Duncan's turn at the karaoke machine...

Just about everyone was holding their ears in pain as Duncan was singing "NEAAARRRR FARRRR, WHEREVER YOU ARRRREEEEEE! I BELIEVE THAT THE HEART DOES GO ON!"
As windows started shattering Owen said "have you heard the sound of two angry cats after being forced out of a bath screeching while scratching their claws on a chalkboard? I know what' it sounds like and it still sounds better than this! Please don't ask how I know but I just know!"

The rest of the video showed what a party this was, "I am so jealous, Lincoln was at what was probably the best party ever and I wasn't!" Lynn Jr said ready to cry and Lincoln laughed thinking about how Gwen's winnings were probably already spent by now thanks to this party.

"You think that I can ask when we can expect Season 2 so that you can continue being a realty star?" Lana asked as Lori smirked.

"You want me to tell everyone Lincoln?" Lori asked as Lincoln gulped as he gave a nod not sure the best way to let everyone know. "Before we got to the car Lincoln got called on the phone by Chris who wants to negotiate a spinoff starring Lincoln and a co-star to be filmed right here in Royal Woods." Lori explained as everyone grew excited.

"That is going to be so cool! Wait who is going to be Lincoln's co-star?" Zach asked as they turned to Lincoln who was becoming a bit more nervous.

"Well, it's a certain someone who was also a contestant on the show and Chris said that all expenses will be made in flying her over." Lincoln explained as it sunk in to everyone who it had to be...

All the way in Canada, Dawn was at home on her computer looking up information on Royal Woods while her animal friends outside from the forest were hanging about outside her window. Then they started panicking as Dawn heard from the open window a loud squeal just like the one that she had heard during the Total Drama Island show on the day when she and Lincoln professed their feelings to each other and became boyfriend and girlfriend.

Not long after that, Lincoln with Edward now in his lap was now on his laptop in his room with the lawyer hired by the family present as they were now logged into the video call with Dawn and her family's lawyer and the third member of this video chat being Chris himself. "Hi there Chris and we have both missed you Dawn. Plus is that a house you are in, because I would have thought that you lived outside in a treehouse." Lincoln said as Dawn giggled with Edward making some sounds to the camera.

"I miss you both as well and it's kind of cute and funny how silly your thoughts were Lincoln. I do live in a house with my family and I do have stuff in my room though I do like to go outside and be one with Mother Nature in my own treehouse. You can see it in my audition video if Chris would be so kind to let you see it." Dawn replied as Lincoln did feel sorry expecting her to just live in a treehouse like that. Chris coughed to get their attention.

"I would love to let you both continue being adorable but we have negotiations to get through." Chris said and their attention went to him. "As I have told you both before the plan for the show is to fly Dawn from here in Canada all the way to Royal Woods for the show to be filmed there. See about finding her a hotel if she can't stay at your place Lincoln..." Chris said but then Lincoln went in.

"Actually no need to worry about that, my sisters have already made the arrangements and Lucy is thrilled to have you bunking with her." Lincoln said interrupting Chris annoying the Canadian TV celebrity. He was off course leaving out how his sisters were annoyed that despite their begging and pleading, their parents wouldn't relent on not allowing Dawn to bunk with Lincoln.

"That sounds amazing and please let Lucy know that I am thankful and grateful for this." Dawn said with a smile and Lincoln gave a big nod.

"Anyway, as I was saying..." Chris continued on unhappy about being interrupted. "The idea is that not only will we film you at your place but the bulk of the show will be filmed at this store that we have rented out and you will both be acting as employees. Your customers will be chosen by us and will have people that are locals, guest celebrities that we have signed to appear on the show and you may find your fellow ex-campers dropping by as well." Chris explained and the teens thought that it sounded exciting.

"Now shall we go through with the negotiations?" asked Lincoln's lawyer with Dawn's nodding along with him in a way that made it seem like that they were both clones. The negotiations went with agreements on what percentage of the profits off not only the show but merchandising would go to Lincoln and Dawn as well with Chris not being happy either and Dawn's lawyer was prepared for a request of the profits going to animal and forest charity organisations that she supported. Plus off course the show and the production wasn't allowed to put them in death defying stunts like what was seen on Total Drama Island. Chris was begrudging about this but then Lincoln's lawyer said "plus my client has some demands off his own."

Lincoln took a deep breath remembering what Lori taking him aside told him earlier after the homecoming party:

"When it's time to negotiate, don't be afraid to be unreasonable and push your luck as far as you can. Chris tried to trick you into signing on without thinking about it so remember you are in a position where he has to cave."

Lincoln started taking out his demands saying "well in my dressing room I would like for there to be peanut butter and sauerkraut sandwiches plus Dawn's favourites for her." Lincoln began with Chris and Dawn not liking to be reminded what Lincoln's favourite food was and then even the lawyers looked grossed out. Then Lincoln began listing off more demands like having his favourite colors of his favourite sweets available. As the list went on Dawn giggled and even the lawyers had trouble keeping their breaths as it looked to be an exercise on how far Chris's mouth could go on.

"Plus there is something that I want Chris to do..." Lincoln said smirking scaring Chris.

All the way in Great Lakes City, Lori was with Bobby as they were pushing Leon's stroller down at the park. "Lincoln should be having his spin-off negotiations right now." Lori remembered and informed Bobby as they thought it over.

"How do you think it's going?" Bobby asked as they felt the trees moving and soon Leon was picked up into the arms of his parents crying as they tried to soothe him as there was a loud yell coming all the way from Canada:

"ARE YOU F***ING SERIOUS? THIS IS A GODDAMN JOKE!"

Lincoln was now smirking at the furious looking face of Chris as Dawn was now full on laughing, "I am dead serious: I want you filmed dressed as a clown singing a song that I send you and it has to go on the Total Drama website and YouTube page clear as day. No attempts to hide it in an obscure place." Lincoln repeated as Chris was close to having steam out of his ears.

"I have something that we call 'dignity' and a reputation to uphold so you can forget it!" Chris retorted as Lincoln smirked.

"Well then, I guess this means that I am out..." Lincoln said as Chris was now panicking as well.

"...Come on, let's not be too hasty... Okay fine, I will do it... My career has bounced back from stupid stuff before..." Chris muttered but then Dawn gave an idea.

"Wait, I have something that I want Chris to do as well." Dawn said as Chris then gritted her teeth. "You remember the eating challenge when the teams disbanded and it was boys V girls?" Dawn asked and they all nodded.

"The Challenge where your snowball boyfriend helped you cheat and I did nothing until the very end, I remember." Chris replied and Lincoln wanted to know where Dawn was going with this.

"On a video to be easy on the website as well as on airing on TV; I want Chris and Chef Hatchet to both filming themselves giving a full apology to the poor animals that they killed or mutilated for the challenges. From the poor bisons that they mutilated to the dolphins that they cooked." Dawn stated seriously with her arms folded as Lincoln thought that this sounded silly but then remembered how soul crushing and heart breaking Dawn's face was at the thought of being forced to eat all those foods.

"Come on now, be for real! We didn't make the challenges or the foods, the producers did! True I put in suggestions but you can't expect us..." Chris exclaimed and then looked annoyed when he saw that Dawn wouldn't budge. "Fine, I will do your stupid apology and I have ways of making Chef join in..." Chris muttered and soon the negotiations ended with the contracts to be sent out for them to sign.

Lincoln thought that this ended up well and saw on his phone after the call ended that Dawn had texted several thumbs up as he smiled while showing to Edward. This show was going to be great especially with Dawn there!

After the call ended Chris was ready to destroy his personal office and who knows how long the argument he is going to have with Chef to do the video was going to be. That Lincoln Loud pushed him to the very edge with his ridiculous demands. What he wanted to do to the overgrown brat...

He actually wanted something to happen to his parents so he could adopt him as his son as this stunt actually impressed him. But not enough for him to consider just letting him be because respect or not, you don't push Chris McLean like this and expect to get away with it.

He now had plans for both Lincoln and Dawn when it comes time to do this spinoff show and some surprises for the both of them. Would need them not to get a hint of what he would be planning but he was thanking god right now for non disclosure agreements in contracts...

Chapter Text

On the couch in the Loud House sat the Loud family that were still living in the Loud house: the parents Lynn Sr and Rita along with their children Lincoln with Edward in his lap, Lynn, Luan, Lola, Lana, Lucy and Lily with the older siblings busy at the moment but they would be able to watch the subject of this anticipation on their own. A shame but when they moved out of the nest and are pretty successful in their lives stuff like this was unfortunately bound to happen.

"Are you all set on your end Clyde?" Lincoln asked on his phone to Clyde next door who would be watching with their friends since it would be a little too crowded at the Loud House to watch all together.

"You bet Lincoln, Stella has her phone ready because she bets that social media is going to explode when the news drops!" Clyde told them and Lincoln smiled.

"I bet, still can't believe that while I was on the Island there were viewers shipping me and Dawn!" Lincoln said remembering when he got home and got told by his friends about what the reactions from the audience online were like and was directed to the 'Dawncoln is best TD ship' blog that Stella had discovered, still kind of creepy to be shipping real people in a reality show like that. Just like those who creepily actors due to their chemistry onscreen.

"It's starting..." Lisa said as this was a special livestream airing on the Total Drama website and the YouTube page that was anticipated by fans of Total Drama Island that would show highlights of the first season and would be building up to a special announcement that Lincoln and the Loud family all knew.

But it started with the forced apology by both Chris and Chef Hatchet for all the animals that they had killed for the 'Brunch of Disgustingness' plus the hawk that Chris had accidentally shot. The Loud family were giggling as they both were clearly forcing themselves to go along with it. The beginning had Chef Hatchet gritting their teeth saying that he didn't want to do this, Chris then whispered to him that they had to go through 43 takes on this so he might as well suck it up and Hatchet whispered asking why didn't he listen to his mum and work in daycare.

"This was a genius idea by Dawn, I can't believe you both were in a position to force him into this!" Lynn laughed as this video and the next would be uploaded to the website and video channels right after they aired. Their giggles then turned into full blown laugher as then it was the video of Chris looking furious and regretting life choices dressed as a clown singing a silly song.

"Lincoln, not that I wasn't proud to have you as a brother before but... You pulling through with this demand... I am speechless..." Luan said in between laugher as she was laughing the loudest as the comments on the stream were basically asking what is with the videos and commenting on how funny they were.

Then there was a rundown of the elimination order and then a clip montage of highlights of the show especially what happened to Heather in the Triple Dog Dare Challenge and what Edward did to Heather during the Deer Hunting Paintball Challenge because there was no way you could do a highlight reel of the season and not include that.

Then afterwards there was Chris in front of a standee advertisement display for Total Drama Island was facing the camera and they shushed thinking this was the time:

Chris coughed as he said "now that we have reminisced, I am here for the big announcement. I know you all must have enjoyed Total Drama Island as much as I have with our colourful campers." Chris said, "I assure you most of your favourites will be coming for Season 2 entitled Total Drama Action but our big announcement is about something else." Chris said as he gave it a few seconds for the anticipation to rise.

"Friendships and special relationships were forged between the campers and most popular was the American snowball Lincoln and the hippie girl with a thing for animals Dawn. You all loved when they got together (even if they lost me 20 bucks) and cried when Heather got Dawn unfairly kicked out and used dirty tactics against Lincoln... If only we could see more of them in a spinoff..." Chris said with a grin.

Then they watched as there was a montage of Lincoln and Dawn moments playing as Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher by Jackie Wilson plays ending with their first kiss. The comments were bursting in excitement as the captions showed:

The comments were screaming and the walls moved as it sounded like the skies were screaming outside, Lincoln got on his phone to ask Clyde if he heard that. "Positive Lincoln, Stella says that it must be the collective reactions of all Dawncoln shippers..." Clyde had answered him as the screams died down.

"Yep, we are flying all the way to Lincoln's hometown of Royal Woods in Michigan along with Dawn as she is going to be staying at his family house. So we will be seeing what it's like in a large family where the parents clearly didn't believe in birth control." Chris had said with a grin.

There was an uncomfortable silence at this as the Loud parents were not particularly fond of that comment.

"Not only that but we will be documenting them working together in a little store where their clients are special guests with celebrities, locales and you just might find some special guests from their fellow ex-campers." Chris said and then he got on a big grin. "I promise you as a spinoff from Total Drama, this will definitely live up to the namesake." Chris said keeping the big grin.

Things did become a little tense as they didn't like that grin, "You don't think that Chris has something big planned, do you?" Chris asked hesitatingly and they didn't know what to think as the contract saying that they couldn't make them do anything too dangerous was signed but judging by what was on Total Drama Island.

Chris was pleased with the reception to the news and so did the bigheads and producers, he would be flying to Michigan soon to start the preparations for Break of Dawncoln. After the runaway success of Total Drama Island, the channels that broadcasted the show outside of Canada were eager to sign on for this new spinoff as well as Total Drama Action.

Chris was now gleefully smirking at a certain contract for a guest signed for the show, "Lincoln bro, I have grown to respect you and see you as a surrogate son but you and Dawn shouldn't have pushed me as you did. Now you will have to reap what you have sown." Chris said to himself leaning back on his chair.

Lincoln carrying Edward was now waiting at the airport with his sisters with him ready to greet Dawn when she arrives. Unfortunately Lori, Leni and Luna's schedules were booked but they planned on stopping by soon to get to meet her. "Is all the cameras necessary?" Lincoln asked as nearby were camera crew for the show.

"Mr McLean and the producers all want your reunion to be captured for the first episode." The main camera man told Lincoln and he could get that even if he preferred more privacy for this reunion.

"More talking about these ones..." Lincoln muttered at the news crew there as well as word got out that this was the date and time that Dawn would be arriving. Fans of the show had turned up and Lincoln already had to sign 7 autographs, it did seem like people were treating him more like a celebrity ever since he had returned.

"I am here as Lincoln Loud the young local celebrity who was a contestant on the popular Total Drama Island reality show awaits his newfound girlfriend Dawn Moonbeam arriving for them to co-star in the new spinoff Break of Dawncoln!" the reporter Katherine Mulligan said to the cameras as she positioned herself next to Lincoln with the Loud sisters trying to get in the frame. "It was only a few short years that I was reporting about how you pulled together the infamous Sharkodile hoax for your Christmas wish to have your whole family together on the special day!" Katherine told him and Lincoln gritted his teeth.

"Not my proudest moment..." Lincoln muttered and then Edward started making his sounds, Lincoln spotted coming closer from a distance from the entry way carrying her luggage was a certain smiling blonde haired girl. The cameras catched it as Lincoln ran up to her and they embrace and then kissed, the fans in the crowd were actually competing with the Loud sisters on making the loudest squee.

"Lincoln! I know it hasn't been that long but I have missed you so much and don't worry Edward so have you!" Dawn said as they let go as the Loud sisters then wrestled past the oncoming crowd and were now crowding around the couple. "My, I have never had so many different auras surrounding me at once before..." Dawn commented as the parents got past their daughters.

"That's enough girls, don't overwhelm as poor Dawn only just got here!" chided Rita as she smiled at Dawn. "So nice to finally meet you Dawn, we will do our best to make you feel welcome at the house." Rita told her and Dawn smiled at them all as they began directing themselves to Vanzilla.

"I'm Lucy and I want to say that I liked you from the beginning and you will be able to stay with me in my room." Lucy told Dawn as Dawn jumped as it seemed like she just appeared behind her.

"Nice to meet you Lucy and I must say that when I was younger I had a crush on my favourite character as well." Dawn told Lucy as her eyes widened though still hidden by her hair.

Chapter Text

Dawn upon entering Vanzilla was off course sitted next to Lincoln with their laps pretty much sharing their space for Edward to rest. "You must have had a really long journey Dawn so feel free to rest your head on Lincoln's shoulder. Don't worry as I know our bro won't mind." Lynn told Dawn with the sisters sharing a grin as the couple had their faces go all red. To the disappointment of the sisters they stayed in their spaces though their hands were holding in the car ride.

Soon they reached the Loud House closely followed by the TV van as Lincoln helped Dawn with getting her luggage out of the trunk of the vehicle. There was Clyde ready to greet them followed by Stella, Zack, Liam and Rusty with Lincoln giving a quick introduction. "So excited to finally meet you Dawn! I didn't really imagine Lincoln finding love again so soon but I am super glad it was you." Clyde said excited along with the rest of Lincoln's friends.

"Nice to meet you all; Clyde, happy to see how much your psychiatric sessions have helped you and Stella so nice to see that you and the group all those years ago managed to mend the misunderstanding when they thought that you were interested in one of them." Dawn said with a smile with them amazed at what was clearly was her aura reading abilities at work.

"I will show you to Lucy's room and be warned... It might be a little unnerving..." Lincoln whispered to Dawn as she was shown inside and saw that it was a normal looking house inside. Then they walked up the stairs and then Lincoln opened the door to Lucy's room and Dawn was taken aback by the gothic posters and bed that was there, more so than there was five years ago since she didn't have a normal roommate now.

Then came a bat and Dawn smile as she put out her arm allowing the bat and others to hang upside down. "Don't worry nocturnal ones; I will be sure to be quiet during the day when in here as to not disturb your nap." Dawn whispered gently as Dawn and Lincoln smiled.

"Lincoln, I am begging you here... Please don't let this relationship end as Dawn is now my ideal future sister in law. No offence intended to Sam. Sigh." Lucy told Lincoln and he giggled in response.

"You want to show Dawn your room now Lincoln?" asked Chris coming up from behind making them jump and Lucy asking if this was what it felt like having it happen to her. "Sorry I was in the TV crew van where we will be helping to edit the footage together and I let myself in. I think the first episode could do with footage of being shown your room." Chris explained and Lincoln sighed as he then began showing Dawn to his room.

The TV crew were let past by the Loud sisters and parents who were at a distance as Lincoln showed Dawn into his room. It was filled with posters and merchandise of Ave Savvy, ARRGH and other nerdy stuff and then Edward jumped onto one of the beds. "This room used to belong to Lori and Leni the two oldest and I have been using the other bed for Clyde whenever he sleeps over but ever since returning I have given the other bed to Edward." Lincoln explained and he was embarrassed as Dawn noticed on Lincoln's bed was none other than Bun-Bun. "Yeah, Bun-Bun is pretty much my first friend..." Lincoln explained as Luan came in.

"If you want, I am sure that I can convince to have our parents bunk you with Lincoln instead of Lucy so say the word and we can get a-bed with the new arrangement..." Luan offered to their embarrassment before she was pulled out of the room by the ear by Lynn Sr.

Dawn then smiled as she then brought out two dreamcatchers, "I have many of these that I had bought when my family went on vacation to a Native American preserve. I have some hanging in my room, my treehouse and now I want you to have them so that you could have the best dreams possible." Dawn told Lincoln and he was amazed by that.

"Wow thank you Dawn..." Lincoln said wishing that he had a welcoming gift for her in return for this. Chris then coughed to get their attention to the glares of the Loud family for spoiling this moment.

Chris then showed them to a certain closet room and showed that there was a desk and camera in there. "Why do away with a good thing so this will be our confessional room where you can speak your mind if you feel like it." Chris told them.

Lana was now facing the camera in the confessional room and said "here is the funny thing that happened here since Lincoln got home. I have so many animals here including alligators and Edward got into a fight with them... And somehow he won! I wished that I had got it on camera since no one at the animal shelter believes me!"

there was Edward in the confessional room and the door was open. An alligator passed and stared at Edward before running away scared.

"This brings me back, would you believe when I was a younger kid this closet was actually my bedroom? Well after Lori moved out and then Leni, my parents decided that a growing boy like me in a house filled with girls was too big for this and needed a room for myself." Lincoln explained smiling at the nostalgia of being back in here.

"I once bunked with Lincoln here for a while and he was the best roommate ever! I should tell you about the Dutch Oven that he pulled!" Lynn said to the camera in the confessional room.

"Lincoln's family has been nothing but welcoming to me and i am super grateful for their hospitality. I must also say to my mother and father back home that I miss you all along with my animal friends." Dawn said to the confessional room.

A little later Lincoln and Dawn were invited to the TV van so Chris could show them the opening of the first episode that they were putting together. There was clips from Total Drama Island of them meeting with Chris narrating and then said to show them how far they had come he would show their audition tapes for the show.

Lincoln gulped not looking forward to this but first was Dawn's; it had her in a lotus position welcoming a squirrel that had come forward, she read her tealeaves that morning saying that the show would make her a lot of money which is not important to her but nature and her animal friends are. Lincoln smiled at Dawn as in the video she said that through channelling their harmony she would win the show and donate the money to help mother Earth as an eagle came and snatched the squirrel from her hand.

"Don't worry Lincoln as I chased the eagle to rescue the poor creature." Dawn assured Lincoln and his gulp returned as it showed his audition video:

"I hope this works as this is like the 9th take Clyde... We're rolling..." Lincoln said as he then coughed and waved to the camera. "Hello TV crew, I'm Lincoln putting here my audition for Total Drama Island where I would be going all the way from Michigan to Canada. I actually have some realty TV experience myself in a way as years ago my Dad and I were on this local game show..." Lincoln said and jumped as there was a Hispanic girl with her hair in ponytails and a dark purple jumper and black jeans who then panted him as he had to pick up his trousers. "Ronnie Anne? Come on!" Lincoln complained as she got up.

"This is Ronnie Anne my girlfriend and if you haven't already gotten her tape yet, she is also competing..." Lincoln introduced her as she punched him in the arm with them smiling.

"To all the other chumps auditioning, Lame-O and I are going to soar right over to the final 2!" Ronnie said gloatingly as she then kissed his cheek.

Dawn blinked as Lincoln chuckled nervously, "Here is a secret Lincoln, we did get her tape beforehand but it became a definite rejection after seeing this. We had already decided on Eva and Duncan as must haves on the show and we felt that having too many tough ones would be a bit redundant." Chris informed Lincoln as Dawn was now looking at Lincoln inquisitively as he was looking nervous.

"The pantsing is just something that she did good naturedly as part of her tough girl image and the 'Lame-O' was just a nickname." Lincoln explained and realised he had said the wrong thing as her mouth was wide open.

Dawn was now in the confessional to vent, "Harassment like that as good natured and calling her boyfriend 'Lame-O'? I am now glad that she didn't get accepted as I would have hated to see Lincoln suffer with her around! I would have possibly decided to save him from having to continue a relationship with such a horrible... Dawn said getting angrier by the second with her arms folded but then she looked on in horror as she remembered the camera. "I forgot the camera was in this closet... Can you please not use this footage?" Dawn begged to the camera.

Chris was now laughing in the confessional room, "there was no way in Hell that we weren't going to use that!" he laughed before coughing. "In all seriousness ever since the first episode where Lincoln talked about his break up I have gotten letters and emails asking how does it feel to break up a relationship? Well they died down when Dawncoln started to get popular but I remembered the audition tape and how Lincoln and Dawn were happy to have found eachother. If you ask me getting on this show and his ex breaking up with him was the best thing that could ever happen to him and he owes us all a big thank you." Chris said pleased with himself.

Then they watched as the opening sequence for the show played set to a cover of the Beatles' Here Comes the Sun that they both recorded together. They smiled as it started with the small bits of footage of them together from the opening sequence of Total Drama Island and then a montage of them together capped off with a shot of them smiling hand in hand in front of the Loud House as behind him were the Loud Sisters and Lincoln's friends.

"We will be seeing our your first morning in the Loud House goes Dawn and then off to work with you two for the show's store." Chris told them and they wondered what surprises this first day would bring.
