Take It Easy

Summary:

On a day like this, it’s no surprise to see that everyone was happy and smiling. There was nothing that could ruin your wedding, and you knew that.

Notes:

Y’all please forgive me if I mess up anyone and make them out-of-character. I don’t do it on purpose, I’m just learning characters how to write certain characters

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

The whole day all felt like a blur to you. It was like… it almost didn’t feel real to you.

I mean sure it was happening right in front of you, but at the same time, it felt like some sort of dream that would never come true… and yet here you are, living that same dream you had when you were 12.

It was surprisingly, really.

Everything was also so sudden that you didn’t even have a chance to process what just happened just a second ago.

Take what happened around noon, for example.

Ichigo came up to you wearing a beautiful white tuxedo. You watched him get down on one knee and open a small box with a ring inside of it while the priest watched from the side. You had completely forgotten that you were up on stage for everyone to see, and so your eyes were only fixated on Ichigo holding a ring up to you.

You were too stunned to speak, let alone move a muscle, so you just stood there and stared with your mouth wide open.

It was after all that time when you finally snapped back into reality and grabbed the ring from the box. You held it in your hand while tears streamed down your cheeks.

“Ichigo…” You sobbed. He stands up and looks at you with a gentle smile, and then he takes your hands into his while you were holding the ring. “Thank you…”

“There’s no need to thank me, Y/n, we were made to be with each other.”

“Yeah… I guess you’re right about that.”

You sobbed quietly and Ichigo took the ring from out of your hand. You held out your dominant hand and allowed Ichigo to slip the ring against your ring finger.

After that, the priest went on to open up a bible and then read a few verses before shortly moving on to the vows. You each say your vows before embracing each other in a warm, long hug followed by a long and passionate kiss on stage.

There were no words to explain how happy everyone was for the two of you, not even Isshin had words and he always has something to say about anything and almost everything.

After you were pronounced husband and wife, you and Ichigo stepped off stage and went over to your families to receive their congratulations.

Your family was almost alike when it came to giving congratulations to the newlywed.

Isshin and your father gave you and Ichigo intense hugs and peppered kisses against your cheeks. Masaki and your mother gave you and Ichigo gentle hugs followed by a few words of advice. And then Yuzu and Karin both hugged you and Ichigo with big smiles on their faces.

Everyone else that was there congratulated you and Ichigo on being newlywed before you headed over to the hotel for the after party.

While both families headed over to the hotel, you and Ichigo held hands while looking at each other with stupidly wide smiles on your faces.

“I’m so happy for you two…” Your mother says to break the silence, her purse was in her arm and moving with her as she walked.

“Me as well,” Masaki looks over at you two before nudging Isshin’s arm, a smile was gently placed against her lips. “Well? Aren’t you going to say anything, Isshin?”

Yuzu and Karin both looked at their dad with a knowing look on their faces.

“What’s there for me to say, Masaki?” Isshin continued to sob violently and just looking at Ichigo in a tux made him cry out of joy. “My son’s getting married to the girl of his dreams, there’s nothing for me to say.”

“I understand where you’re coming from, Mr. Kurosaki.” Your father clears his throat while looking up. “Life goes pretty fast nowadays that it’s hard for us to keep up.”

Yuzu and Karin just looked at each other with their eyebrows knotted together.

You and Ichigo didn’t mind both of your fathers and their gloom and doom. You both just kept looking ahead. You all neared the hotel, and soon enough it was almost time for the after party to start. Now after your wedding, it was time to think about your honeymoon. You’ve got plenty of time to think about that, now.

Notes:

I’m so sorry if this sucks. I had a good way to start this but school was distracting me, so I just had to start over.
