Chapter Text

"QUACKITY LET ME DOWN" Karl shouted laughing "NEVER" His boyfriend answered "Quackity please I need to be in a meeting in like 5 minutes" Karl tried to convince him "skip it! We can go sit on the roof!" the shorter almost bagged "Q you know I can't..." The brunette said sadly "But you can! You don't even want to go! Karl PLEASE, It's been so long since we spent time together!" Karl thought for a second "Ok. Let's go to the roof. but first, LET ME DOWN ALREADY YOU NIMROD" He said loudly "Ok ok" The blacked haired said letting his lover down "Thank you." He said and Q laughed "LAST ONE AT THE LADDER SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR" Karl started running "WE DON'T EVEN SHARE A ROOM??!!?!?!!?" The other start running too "IT DOESN'T MATTER"

Quackity layed on his boyfriend while one hand of his boyfriend played with his hair and the other one hold his hand. "
"I love you" the young prince whispered softly kissing the others head "I love you too Karl" Quackity smiled opening his eyes, seeing his lover that smiled lovingly, he was beautiful. So Quackity said it "You are beautiful my love" Karl blushed lightly "Stoppppppp" he hide his face and the black haired laughed "Neah I don't think so" Karl moved his fingers so he could see Quackity, only his eye showing "You are and idiot." He said "I may be an idiot, but you love me," The other said "You can't deny that." He smiled "I know"

They just lay there in a comfortable silent for a few hours
Karl played with Q's hair while he almost fell asleep, he also wrote for a little bit.

"We need to go back... Foolish can't cover for me forever..." Karl said softly after waking Quackity, "I know... But let's wait a few more minutes, please" he said "Ok" Karl said giving him a peck on the lips
"Thank you"
"Of course"

The ginger boy look at the pretty brunette with a stupidly smile… he was I love with him since he saw him on the garden, He hide behind a wall looking at them.

After he take a long deep breath, he fix he’s hair and go to pretty brunette and the short bitch.

"Ummm- can I please talk to you for a second your highness? privacly?" He asked nervously "Yeah sure" Karl answered "I'll be right back" He said to Quackity kissing his cheek and walking with the other.

"Did my father send you? Because I wasn't feeling very good, that's why I didn't come to the meeting with the L'Manburg ambassador. I send a guard to tall him." He said confidently "No- that's not that's." The shorter said "So what is that?" Sapnap thought for a moment and than remembered his conversation with Foolish earlier "Foolish is looking for you, he told me to say to you if I see you to come to the library" he said "Oh ok. by the way, I never saw you around. Are you new?" The oldest asked curiously "Not really your highness, I've been in the palace for a few months now." The other answered "How is that I never saw you?" The prince said "I wasn't really given much shifts close to where you are mostly. And I get out of training only around a month ago." Sapnap smiled "Oh that's make sense, how was training?" The taller asked "It's was nice, Foolish was my tutor so it was... Something." Karl chuckled "Your laugh is pretty" Sapnap said, not thinking. "Thanks?-" Karl smiled in confusion.
'Oh god his smile is beautiful' Sapnap thought, not noticing that his gaze had moved to the other's lips. He also didn't notice the short man looking at him with a death glare.
The boys talked for another moment before Quackity interrupt them "Karl I thought we are going to go to the library" He whined hugging his lover from the back "Yeah I know, let's go. Foolish is looking for me so we talk to him first."

They went to the library living the guard behind and looking for the tall man "FOOLISH WHERE ARE YOU YOU TALL FUCK" Q shouted "I'M HERE YOU SHORT SHIT" They heard the other answer "god I love your friendship" Karl laughed.

"So what did you wanted? Some guard told me you were looking for me" Karl said after they all set down "oh I just wanted to say that your dad is kinda angry, I think you should stop skipping meetings and stuff like that for a while..." Foolish said and Karl nodded "I understand, thanks for covering me by the way. Also what were the meeting about anyways?" He said "It was just some boring trade matters" his tall friend answered "oh my god this shit is so boring" Quackity said clinging into Karl "I know right?" Karl chuckled kissing his boyfriends forehead, Which caused the other to smile "But why on my forehead and not my lipsssss" he said 'complaining' and Karl laughed and kissed him on the lips "Jesus get a room" Foolish said "joke on you, we have two."

"So wanna go grab something to eat from the kitchens?" Foolish asked after a while of them just talking "Nah I'm not really hungry" Karl answered "What about you Quack?" He asked the younger "Karllllll I told you not calling me thattttt that makes me sound like a duck." He said and the other two laughed
"You aren't? I thought you were a duck."
"That's bully territory. You are bullying me. And yeah I'd love to get something to eat" he thought for a moment "And hot chocolate."

They get into the kitchen "let's look for Bad, he'll give us food. And hot chocolate." Foolish said starting look for the man his two friends fellowing him.
"Yoooo Bad" Quackity said when he saw him "What do you three want?" The older sighed "Hot choco." Karl answered "yo cookies" taking a cookie from a pan "Be carefull I just get them out of the ov-" Bad start saying but was being cut by Quackity "EW THAT'S HOT" He shouted letting go of the cookie, Foolish laughed while Karl checked if his boyfriend is ok.

"Karl get off the counter" Bad said to the boy that was holding a hot choco cup "Sorry Bad" he said getting off. "Hi dad I brought you the su-" another boy that just arrived start saying but stopped when he saw the other three "hi you are the guard from earlier!" Karl said and the other nodded "You never told me your name" Karl added "I'm Sapnap your highness" the boy answered "Just Karl is fine, your highness sound too formal."
"Ok Karl" Sapnap said smiling at him.
Foolish looked at Sap for a moment before saying "Nope" and dragging Sapnap from there.
"What just happened" Karl said confused
"Idk bro" Quackity answered
"Did you just called me bro?"

Chapter Text

When Quackity woke up the first thing he noticed is the lack of his boyfriend warmth next to him, he sighed getting up. 

After he get dressed he noticed a note on the table

'Good morning love, 

Sorry for leaving when you were still asleep, my father needed me for some boring soon-to-be-king and all that bullshit stuff. 

You looked so cute while sleeping so I didn't want to wake you up. 

Meet me at breakfast?

Karl'

The little swirl next to Karl's signature made him smile a little, Karl did it for years now. He never understood why but he thought it was cute. He decided to go to breakfast, hopefully Karl will already be there. Plus he would love some pancakes.

While he walked to the dining room he saw a tall man with a trench coat walking down the hall "WILBUR?! What are you already doing here?" He shouted "Oh hallo Quackity, I have a few meetings with the king. Sally is also here, we decided just to come now instead of me coming now and then going back to L'Manburg just to come here again for the masquerade." The man answered "nice, nice" Quackity said "How are you?" Wilbur asked "I'm fine, how about you? I heard you and Sally had a son" the shorter answered "Yes, Fundy." Wilbur smiled "He is a special kid"

"Congrats man!" They talked for a bit after that 

"Here, read that" the king ordered slamming a bench of papers on the table infront of Karl "What is that?" Karl asked "I want you to do some project for the people, that's a list of ideas." His dad commented and Karl nodded.

Karl read the entire list, he already decided on what to do before he even start reading but his dad won't approve unless he will read all of it "Dad, I already decided what to do. Can I go to the dining hall and keep working while eating?" He requested. the king hesitate but after a moment he motioned for a guard to approach him, whispering something into his ear. The guard, who was the same one as yesterday as Karl noticed nodded and walked to the brunette "I'm going to escort you to the dining room your highness" he said "What? Why?" Karl shouted and Sapnap looked at the king hesitantly "Karl, I decided to put a guard on you for now on." The king commented "What?! No! I don't need a fucking bodyguard" Karl said angrily.

"You are the crown prince Karl, I can't just let you get hurt." He responded "So you care because I'm the crown prince. Not because I'm your kid. You care only about keep the stupid ancestry going!"

"Son-" Karl didn't hear the rest of the sentence before he stormed out of the room, Sapnap after him. 

"Leave me alone, I don't need a bodyguard." Karl hissed "I can't." The other muttered and Karl sighed "I know..." He whispered 

"I'm sorry." Sapnap murmured after a few minutes of walking silently "Why?" The other asked "you seems upset" the black haired stated "yeah because my dad act like I'm a little kid again. I know how to protect myself. Also, we are literally inside of the palace. There are so many guards between me and the outside world." He sighed "I have an idea, I could maybe sneak you out?" Sapnap suggest hesitantly after thinking for a second "I'm not sure if that a good-" the brunette started answering but get cut of by them getting to the dining hall.

When they get into the dining hall the first thing they heard was a baby crying while his mother tried to calm him down "Why can't I just throw him out the window?" a boy with a bleached hair cried "Because Sally will beat you up" Quackity answered tiredly taking a big sip from his coffee. "What the honk did I just walked into" Karl questioned "Karl! Can I throw Fundy out the window?" the blonde boy said "Tubbo I will drown you." the red head threatened "for fuck's sake stop fighting the baby isn't crying anymore but I might start" Quackity snapped and everyone fall silent. "ANYWAYS, Karl how was your meeting or what ever your dad needed you for?" He asked "just the normal shit, I need to work on a project tho. And now I have a babysitter" Karl answered sitting down and putting scrambled eggs on a plate. "a babysitter?" Karl frowned "Yeah" he pointed at Sapanp "Dad decided that I'm not protected enough even tho there's so many guards around me 24/7 so now I have a fucking bodyguard" Tubbo looked surprised "Wait you have a bodyguard? Why don't I have one?" He asked "you can get him if you want" Karl snorted "I'm right here-" Sapnap murmured "they are always like that, you will get used to it." Sally smiled warmly.

After a few minutes Tubbo and Karl stopped bickering and Tubbo turned around to face Sally "I forgot to ask, when is Tommy and Ranboo arriving?" He asked "Two days before the ball if I'm not wrong" the ginger answered "Is all the L'Manburgians arriving that day?" He added "I'm pretty sure Purpled is coming a few days before to visit his older sibling but I'm not sure" the blonde nodded "That makes sense." he went silence for once, surprising. 

"Sooooooo Sapnap, that's your name right?" Karl started saying "Yeah that's my name" he said "sir" he added "Karl is fine, I already told you that." they smiled and the other nodded "of course si- Karl." She smiled and then asked "what brought you to become a guard Sapnap?" He thought for a second "well- my dad is been working in the palace since I was little as you know and I always thought it was amazing. I always was more of a protective person so it just fitted to become a guard." He answered "and you are living in the palace? Sorry about all the questions- you don't have to answer if you doesn't want to. I just wanna get to know you-" the brunette asked again awkwardly "that's totally fine! I understand that." He assured her "Yes, I do live in the palace. It's much easier like that. It's kinda weird not to live with my dad and next to my best friend but I'm getting used to it" he answered then "oh that's cool" there was an awkward silent after that where both of them didn't know what to say or do and then Foolish come in with a worried look on his face. "Karl we need to talk." 

Chapter Text

"Karl we need to talk" was the first thing Foolish said. "What happened?" Karl was confused "that's Tina, she..." Foolish hesitated "she what?" Karl didn't understand "she... She disappeared." The other answered "What do you mean by disappeared..?" Now they were worried "Tina has been missing for a few days now... Today I was supposed to meet her and she didn't arrive so I went to her house and found it in a total mess, there was a bit of blood too. By all evidence we have last she hasn't been inside of her house for about a week... We are not sure how long" He murmured. Karl heart fall to his stomach, that's can't be happening again. This can't be- she can't be missing. They started to have struggles with breathing "Karl?" She heard a voice, he wanted to answer. HE SHOULD ANSWER. but he couldn't, he couldn't breathe, he couldn't talk, and they couldn't get out of that state. They felt like the room was closing in on them and they heard muffled voices but couldn't fucking understand what were they saying.
They fall to the floor "s she can't be missing" he whispered so quiet that you could barely hear them.
"Karl, breath. Breath with me." They felt a hand on their shoulder, Sapnap's?
Sapnap started counting while breathing deeply and Karl tried to follow.
Around two minutes later they fixed their breath, their sight was still a bit blurry from tears (when tf did she started to cry?) "Good, keep breathing." Sapnap smiled softly "t thank you-" they whispered "of course."

"Foolish, how could I help with finding Tina?" Karl asked after they calmed down "I'm sorry, you can't." The other answered.
"what do you mean I can't help? She is my best friend!" They almost shouted "I get specific orders from the king to stop you, we are handling it. I'm sorry Karl."

"I can't believe he doesn't let me do anything!" Karl was pacing down his and his lover's room "Karl... Baby... I hate to agree with your dad, you know how much I hate to admit he is right. but this time I do." Quackity said softly "Not you too- Quackity PLEASE, I can't just sit on the side and let her die!" He shouted desperately.
"I know baby, I know. But it's not going to help her if you will stress out." The shorter tried to calm them down.
"But-"
"No buts! Now you are coming to bed and CALMING down. Tomorrow we will find what we could do."
After that the brunette FINALLY stopped pacing and get into Quackity's embrace.
"I just feel like it's him all over again..." The prince admitted "I can't let Tina become another him Q."
"I know, I know." The other hummed hugging his lover tighter
"It's gonna be fine..." Quackity hummed, his fingers in Karl's soft hair
"It's all gonna be fine..."

"I don't know Karl... It's ignoring direct orders..." Sapnap hesitated
"I know, and you don't have to help if you don't want to. You can say no. But please, I tried everything. I am desperate."
It was Quackity's idea to ask for Sapnap's help. it caught Karl on suprise, His partner didn't seem to like Sapnap. But like they said, she was desperate.
"... Ok," Sapnap said after a few minutes of thinking
They felt such a relief, this time they didn't have to just sit there and do absolutely NOTHING "Thank you so much" she hugged him "I don't know what I could do to repay you..."
"That's fine, you don't have to do anything." The other smiled "I will feel like I'm using you. please, what can I do for you?" Karl insisted.
Sapnap thought for a bit and then decided.
"Could I maybe have a day off? I haven't seen my best friend in weeks and that's weird..."
"Of course! Foolish also have a day off and he usually just spend it with Tina, could you please get him out of here? He needs a day off and I feel like he would just keep working if he would stay in the palace." He answered
"FOOLISH HAVE DAYS OFF?? I swear to XD I never saw him takes a break."
"He does but he doesn't use them, I don't know when was the last time he actually did." Karl smiled.
"Jesus, I'll take him with me then." Sapnap said.
"You don't have to take him with you, JUST GET HIM OUT OF HERE"

"I have work to do Sapnap" Foolish complained while they walked down the street "Too bad, you are taking a break." The other answered.
"Where are we even going?" The taller asked "Visit my dad and then my best friend" Sapnap answered.
"Your dad? Isn't he working?"
"My other dad."
"Oh"

"DADDDDDDDD I'M HOMEEEEEEEEE" Sapnap shouted when they get into the house. Not even a minute later a blonde stormed out of the closet door "SAPNAP DUDE" he yelled and pulled him into an embrace.
"Punz? What are you doing here? Where's Skeppy?" The shorter asked and hugged Punz back.
"He's gone for a few days, he asked me to feed Rat because apparently Bad is staying at the palace for some reason for like a week"
"Where did he go to?"
"I don't know," he shrugged "who is the buff guy?"
"I'm Foolish." Foolish answered
"What the fuck is that name"
"His mom hates him."

"So, how is the palace?" Punz asked
"Busy." Sapnap answered "there's this big masquerade in a month so there's a lot of preparations. Also some girl wen-" he went silent after remembering Foolish was there.
"That's fine Sapnap," Foolish said even tho his face darkened "We'll fine her in now time."
Sapnap looked at him with a worried look but nodded.

Tina woke up, it was dark and dusty. Like always. It's been going like that for a few- she didn't actually know how long it is,
she lost track of time... She woke up and fall asleep on repeat. The person who toke her was never there when she woke up.... She didn't get anything to eat or drink since she's been kidnapped.
At first she had hope, she screamed out of the top of her lungs, tried to get out of the room and tried to at least get her kidnapper to give her some water.
But she lost all hope, she barely had any energy to be awake, not even talking about moving or talking. She started thinking that that's it... She is going to die here, she will never see the sky again. Her eyes started to close... She accepted it.
All she felt was relief, but then she thought about Karl, Foolish, Quackity, HER FRIENDS. they will never know what happened to her... She can't let Karl go through it again...
A single tear fall from her eye and then her eyes closed and she started to feel the sleep coming to her.
But then someone get into the room for the first time since she was abducted... She recognised them. She felt so relieved, she was saved.

Chapter Text

Karl raced down the corridor, dodging past bewildered guards and butlers. They burst into the infirmary and demanded, "Where is she?" The first nurse he saw quickly replied, already knowing who she was referring to "Second bed on the right."
Karl quickly made her way to the second bed on the right 
"Tina!" he exclaimed, relief flooding through them as he saw her lying there, very pale but alive. 
"Hi Karl," she whispered, a weak smile on her lips.
Karl sat next to her "How are you?" They asked, his voice choked with emotion. She thought she was gonna lose Tina too.
"I'm fine, but only thanks to Dream." The other replied smiling
Karl only now noticed the blonde who was standing right next to Tina's bed "it's been a long time" he said.
Karl looked shocked for a moment before shouting "you idiot! We were worried sick! You just disappeared one day"
"Yeah... Sorry about that" the blonde scratched his neck awkwardly
"Have you seen Foolish yet?" Karl questioned.
Like the universe heard them Foolish brust into the inferi almost crashing into a table "Sorry!" He shouted hurrying to where Karl sat.
"Tina! I was so worri-" he froze, recognising the man next to her "Dream?" He hesitated, not believing his own eyes.
"Hi Foosh" Dream smiled softly.
Foolish crashed him into a hug "I missed you," he pulled away from the hug "never do it again!" He slapped him.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR" Dream shouted
"YOU LEFT"
"I feel really out of place." Karl whispered to Tina
"Me too."

Quackity walked into the inferi searching for Tina with his eyes.
He found her sleeping in the second bed on the right, Foolish was snoring in the chair next to her and Karl was sleeping on the floor. Quackity took a blanket and quietly wrapped it around his lover. He searched for another chair taking it and sitting next to his friends, waiting for them to wake up.
Somone else walked into the inferi, Sapnap. He was in his usual guard attire and was carrying a pen and a notebook.
Sapnap walked ahad towards him, his look indicating he wanted to be everywhere but there.
"What are you doing here?" Quackity asked after Sapnap arrived looking nervous "I get sent to question Tina" he answered.
"Well, she is sleeping. So come back later." he spoke in a confrontational tone. He then muttered quietly, "or never...."
"What did you say?"
"Nothing." Quackity fake smiled.
"Oh ok... I kinda need to stay here tho, I still have my duty to guard Karl after all." Sapnap said, sounding embarrassed.
"Whatever" Quackity said as the guard went and get himself a chair.
After a few minutes of awkward silence Sapnap asked "are you coming to the valentine's ball?"
"Yeah"
"Cool."

After about a VERY awkward half an hour Tina woke up. 'oh thanks god' Sapnap thought.
"Tina! Do you need anything? Water? Soup? Anything?" Quackity asked "no, it's fine."
"Tina can I ask you a few questions or do you want to rest a bit more?" Sapnap questioned
"Sure" she smiled gently
He get his pen and notebook out and was ready to write everything "Ok so first of all, have you seen who took you?" The ginger asked
"No, they come from behind me and hit me in the head and they never get into the room they were holding me in." Tina answered
"Do you have any hints for WHERE they held you?" He asked and she shook her head.
"Ok that's fine. Dream found you right?"
"Yes, I- I was losing all hope and I thought I was going to die. But then Dream showed up and brought me back here." Tina's voice was shaking as she recounted out the events of her kidnapping. "That's enough for now, thank you Tina," Sapnap said with a smile as he get up.

A few days later Tina was already feeling better and sat at breakfast with Karl and Foolish when Quackity brust into the room "Good morning Qu-" Karl started saying before being cut off by Quackity bursting out of the room, dragging Tina with him.
"I need you to you to help me with ring shopping." He stated after they get away from the dining hall Tina looked confused for a moment before realising "OH MY GOD YOU ARE GONNA PROPOSE?? I am so happy for you two! Can I be your bridesmaid?" She blabbered without stopping to breath "of course I will help you, where are we going?"
"I have a jeweler coming here in like 15 minutes with a bunch of different rings" Quackity answered.

"when are you planning to propose?" The black haired girl asked while they were waiting "during the valentine's ball" the other answered.
Their conversation was cut off by the jeweler who arrived. 
They put the box they were carrying on the table and asked "which one of you is the one who proposing?"
"Me." Quackity answered "great," they opened the box reveling around 50 different engagement rings and getting one out "22k yellow gold, 13 white diamonds and 2 purple diamonds. What are your thoughts?" Quackity looked at the ring, it was beautiful. It looked like fairies made it. But it didn't felt just right "no, it is beautiful but it's not what I'm looking for." The jeweler nodded and took out another ring "a more simple one, 18k rose gold, 6 amethyst stones and one purple diamond" they explained "it's so pretty!" Tina stated Quackity nodded, he liked the ring. But it didn't fit Karl enough.
"What else have you get?" Quackity asked and the jeweler took out a third ring, it was a gold ring with roses engravings. In the middle there was a dark purple sparkling stone with a little crown engraving on top
Quackity gasped "it's perfect."

Karl finished up their outfit. They were wearing a lavender colored long ball gown with sparkles and abstract floral pattern at the bottom and puffy sleeves, it had a diamond belt and was paired with silver necklace and earrings with drop shaped amethyst stones. He had a silver tiara with a flower styled design and a amethyst in the middle, it looked right out of a fairytale. 
She also had a silver arm band with a similar design and stones. The look was finished with lavender platform chunky heels. They looked gorgeous.
Quackity brust into the room fighting with his tie "Karl can you hel-" he stopped mid sentence after looking up at his partner, he looked at Karl with a mesmerized look "wow." He whispered "you needed help with your tie?" Karl asked getting closer to his lover to adjust his tie "you look beautiful." Quackity didn't answered, he couldn't look away from the brunette. XD he was so inlove with them.
"You too love" the young prince gave his boyfriend a peck on the lips.
After giving the tie final adjustment, he stepped back and nodded in satisfaction. "There, perfect," he said with a soft smile.
"Are you ready to go down to the ball now?" Karl asked offering their hand to Quackity who nodded and took their hand

When they get to the ball room the first person they saw was Tina who was speeding towards them, almost falling over. "You two look amazing!" She declared "You too!" Quackity smiled. She was wearing a yellow sparkly puffy dress with gold heeled sandals and pearl accessories. Her hair was in a half bun who had two hair sticks stuck in, one had a gold chain with a moon at the bottom and the other had a sun at the bottom. "Thank you!" She smiled back "have you seen Callahan is here? It kinda weird, he is normally doesn't arrive to those kinds of events. Only if something important will happen." She added. Karl scanned the room with her gaze, stopping on a tall man with silver-white hair and impressive elk antlers. His lips were sewn together and his eyes were completely white, he looked directly at Karl. "Yeah... It is weird." Karl uttered the words in considerate manner.
"Who else is here?" Quackity questioned "well Foolish is gonna be here every minute, Tubbo is somewhere, he might be trying to kill the baby. Sally and Wilbur are already here, Sapnap is surely in the area and I have literally no idea where Dream is" Tina answered after thinking for a bit "oh and Niki and Puffy are here too!" She added. "I'm gonna say hi to Wilbur, I'll be back in a minute." Quackity announced kissing Karl's cheek and going to search for the L'manbergian.
After a few minutes of talking the band started playing, at this point Foolish already joined them. Everyone stopped their conversations looking at the middle of the room where the king and queen started dancing the first dance together.
As the first dance ended, the crowd erupted into applause and more couples joined the dance floor. "Do you wanna dance?" Tina  turned to Foolish and asked "I'm a terrible dancer and you know it." He answered "it will be fine" she smiled dragging him to the dance floor. Karl looked at them chuckling as he saw Foolish stepping on Tina's feet every few seconds 
"May I have this dance your majesty?" Karl looked back seeing Sapnap smiling and holding his hand towards him "it would be my pleasure" Karl took the others hand with a smile.

Karl spun around the room with Sapnap and declared, "I already told you you don't need to call me your majesty" Sapnap playfully tilted Karl back and replied "I know, I just thought it fits more to the situation." The prince laughed and said, "While I appreciate the sentiment, but let's just stick to our names. No need for formalities between friends." Sapnap nodded in agreement and added "Of course, your highness."  he grinned as he said the last part, teasing Karl with a playful smile. The brunette rolled his eyes, but couldn't help but grin back. 
"You are a great dancer" Karl complimented as they finished their dance "You're not too bad yourself" the other replied with a wink.
Karl chuckled and was about to say something when Quackity appeared infront of them "Karl! Let's dance" he dragged them back to the dance floor without waiting for an answer.
Karl let out a laugh and followed Quackity, unable to resist his playful energy.
Quackity twirled Karl around, making him dizzy and giggling. They danced and laughed together, lost in the moment and enjoying each other's company.
As they danced, Karl noticed that the music had changed to a slow ballad. Quackity pulled her closer, their bodies touching as they swayed to the music. Karl felt their heart skip a beat as he looked into Quackity's eyes, seeing a warmth and love in them.
Karl leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Quackity's lips, The music faded into the background as they lost themselves in the moment. Their hearts were beating as one, and just for a moment, nothing else in the world matter. The only thing that mattered was the love and loyalty they shared.
As they pulled apart from the kiss, Quackity rested his head on Karl's shoulder, They stayed that way for a few moments, enjoying the each other's presence and swayed with the music. Karl looked at his lover with a look full of affection.

"My legs are KILLING me" Karl complained about half an hour later while sitting with Tina and Sally at the sides of the room "tell me about it, dancing with heels is a bitch." The redhead replied taking a sip of her champagne. "I know, right?" Tina chimed in "I thought I was going to fall over a few times out there, and Foolish didn't really helped with stepping on my feet every second." Karl chuckled "this man just can't dance." Sally said while shaking her hand
"Sally!" Her husband called "what now?" She signed without him hearing "can you take Fundy from me?" He asked and then added "the king wants to speak with me." Sally reached out to take the baby "sure honey, just hand him over."

A few more hours past, Quackity and Karl danced a few more dances, Tina babysitted Fundy while Wilbur and Sally dance, Foolish almost crashed into some foreign diplomat and now Karl stood with Quackity on the sides of the room snacking on a bowl of strawberries. They noticed that Quackity was nervous for the entire evening, he reached for his pocket every once in a while and overall acted differently. "Are you ok?" Karl questioned putting his hand on the other's shoulder "Yeah" he answered but Karl could noticed that the man was distracted and not really listening, "Quackity," the brunnet put her hand on their partners hand and he looked up at them "how are you?" they asked again "Yeah I'm fine" Quackity smiled even tho he was in fact, nervous.
"Are you sure?" Karl was obviously worried "Yeah I'm sure, I'll tell you if anything is wrong," The raven head assured the worried princess "I promise." He gave them a peck on the lips. Karl looked at Quackity skeptically, but didn't push.
"Let's dance" Quackity said trying to change to topic and offered his hand "sure" Karl put the almost empty bowl to the said and took his love's hand. 
As Quackity and Karl began their dance, Quackity gently placed his hand on Karl's lower back drawing him closer. The touch of Quackity's hand sent a wave of warmth through Karl's body. Quackity twirled her around gracefully, and as they came back together he planted a gentle kiss on their lips. Karl giggled "I love dancing with you" she stated, Quackity looked at them with a gentle smile "I love dancing with you too mi amor" replied, voice filled with affection and love.
As the music changed to a slower, more romantic tune Quackity dropped their dance taking Karl's hand in his. He get on one knee and Karl's eyes widened in surprise as Quackity pulled out a midnight blue velvet box from his pocket. Quackity slowly opened the box, revealing a beautiful engagement ring that sparkled in the dim light. Quackity's voice was warm as he spoke "Karl, I love you more than words can express. You are the love of my life, and I cannot imagine a future without you. You bring joy and happiness into my life every single day, and I am so grateful to have you by my side. That's why I'm asking you, would you give me the honor to be your husband? Will you marry me?" Karl was speechless as tears of joy filled his eyes, they looked at his eyes and saw the love and happiness shining in them. Karl finally found his voice and whispered, "Yes, Quackity. I will marry you."
The room erupted into applause as Quackity slipped the ring into his fiancé finger smiling from ear to ear with happiness. Karl threw their arms around Quackity's neck, kissing him with all the love in their heart.
