Some Secrets Need To Be Pampered Without Setting Off a World War

Summary:

Twilight was a man of secrecy and fake intricate masks to cover up his true intentions. But when Operation Strix was finally executed and the world was at peace he thought it was over and planned on retiring in giving up his family persona. Until someone he never would've expected held his and others secrets in the palm of her hands; threatening to expose them all to the world if they didn't keep playing the part of a 'Happy Family' since that's all they ever wanted.

Chapter 1: War at an End.....or is it?

Summary:

Twilight is reconsidering retiring since his mission is accomplished but something is holding him back?

Chapter Text

Twilight never thought his mission would last longer than one year. But lo and behold he’s in the kitchen cooking a special meal with Yor (trying to make sure they don’t get food poisoning again) for Anya who just turned nine. Which she was jumping in joy and excitement for her favorite foods to be displayed along with a big cake to share with her family.

For the past three years in becoming a fake father for Operation Strix messed with Loid’s professionalism in making him more calm, compassionate and at ease that other agents started to see through him if you truly knew Twilight.

Loid felt love towards Anya, Yor, and even their dog Bond which made it all the harder in deciding to leave them not only because of his orders from WISE but to make sure they never get caught up in danger.

After dinner was eaten and everything was put away Loid was ready to put his plan into action. Operation Strix has been executed and taken care of for the past 3 months; the only reason he hasn’t left is because it would leave suspicion to both Eden Academy and his fake wife Yor in suddenly disappearing.

“The hospital needs me again for an emergency patient, I’ll see you all in the morning,” He smiled effortlessly feeling a pit in his heart. Lying always came easier to him than just wearing the faces of others. I need to leave now or else I’ll never do it

“PAAA!!! I wanna come along too! I can help!” Anya ran over from the television set along with their dog Bond since they were quite attached to the hip with each other in watching that Spy Wars show called Bondman. Quite ironic considering he is a spy himself and was forced to watch through most of the show to realize that half of the junk they talked about was true. Since they talked about certain toxic chemicals, gun silencers, torture, and even ways to mask scents of poisons which made him really wonder who even created the show?

“You can’t Anya.” Loid said hurriedly. “Besides the patient is dangerous you’ll get hurt.”

“What’s happening?” Yor appeared after cleaning the dishes wiping her hands with a cloth. When she entered the room, it really gave Loid a breather and lightened the room up warmly. He’s choosing to shake his head from these thoughts and just leave when he still could.

“Pa is planning to leave us forever!!!” Anya was on the verge of tears like the child she was when someone important to her is leaving, or she doesn’t get what she wants.

Stomping her feet on the ground as a sign that she was unhappy and wants him to stay. It warms his heart to see how much he matters to Anya. Wait no, I need to leave so I can go onto another mission, WISE won’t be happy if I stay here any longer than I’m meant to.

After Loid had that thought Anya seemed to calm down a little bit looking at him with some type of emotion that even he couldn’t decipher? She stayed silent for a while until she smiled real wide with a disturbing look in here eyes that Twilight didn’t know a nine-year-old could even possess especially Anya?

“Chi Chi, would you stay if there was something more important making you stay instead of the patient like something almost causing a World War like that of Westalis and Ostania?” Anya made it sound so childish yet sincere as if she was giving him an ultimatum!? Her facial features didn’t give away that she was lying so she was serious! What she was implying between the two countries was extreme.

“Uhm wha what do you mean by that A-Anya?” Loid tried to remain calm plastering on a fake saccharine smile, she MUST be joking she’s only a child. There was no way she knew my occupation as a Spy!

From seeing Loid’s nervous disposition made Yor intervene.

“Anya your father needs to go help his patients.” Loid was relieved to hear Yor starting to handle Anya in letting him go in having a stern but caring voice when she said it.

“But Mama, you’re acting so prickly towards me in letting Papa leave! Almost like you’re an Evil Thorny Princess!” Anya was making such a fuss but when she said those words it made Yor stop what she was going to say next. No way, the only person who calls me that is My Boss/Mr. Manager

Loid recognized that even Yor was as nervous and shocked as he was from whatever Anya said to them both in triggering these feelings. But should he confirm it right in front of Yor? Ask Anya if she knew of all the missions he went on while playing the father? How long did she know? His mind was spinning spilling with all kinds of thoughts and doubts until he decided to just get it over with.

But Anya beat him in voicing his and even Yor’s thoughts too.

“I always knew from the very beginning, Mama & Papa are liars, but I don’t care.” Anya said with a carefree smile like she wasn’t airing out our dirty laundry right in front of our faces, thankfully it wasn’t in public for what she was about to say next.

“Papa is such a cool Spy while Mama is an Assassin and I hoped we could’ve been together forever, but I’ll make sure to help in us sticking together!” Anya kept talking with a rapt sense of joy.

“As long as I don’t spill any information about WISE, The SSS along with The Garden (Assassination Ring) we can stay together as a family, right?” Both me and Yor froze after hearing Anya saying those words, and everything went black for both of us after hearing our secrets being revealed so soon.

Chapter 2: Anya ALWAYS Knew

Summary:

Things start to slowly be revealed leaving Twilight baffled in what to do next.

Chapter Text

When Twilight awoke from the darkness that surrounded him, he found out he was strewn haphazardly across his bed along with Yor beside him.

“Ugh what happened last night?” Loid rubbed his head trying to remember yesterday’s events.

Yor also started to stir awake from his commotion, “Did I drink too much wine again?”

“I don’t think so?” Loid replied to Yor “I wouldn’t feel like I have a hangover because I have a high alcohol tolerance that doesn’t allow me to get drunk.”

Both felt like this wasn’t the cause of alcohol in their systems, something………shocking happened to them but the events are barely coming to them slowly, they don’t have the full picture.

“Mama! Papa! You’re up!” Anya came rushing towards the two leaping into their arms giving them both big hugs with her tiny arms that could barely reach around them.

“Anya? What happened last night?” Twilight had to swallow some of his pride to ask his nine-year-old daughter in case she knew some details.

“Hm? You and Mama passed out after finding out the good new!” She shouted in joy and excitement from her reply “Um what good news Anya?” Loid strangely felt shivers run down his spine at the impending answer Anya will give him.

“That we’re gonna be a happy family together forever!” Anya chirped back “I know Everything about Mama and Papa’s secret jobs so if we ever split up, I will just spill everything to the world.”

Suddenly everything came back to both Loid and Yor in what happened last night.

“WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ANYA!?” Loid yelled at Anya not concerned he was yelling at a nine-year-old child but not enough to use violence she was a child after all. There’s NO WAY a nine-year-old kid who barely experienced life knows my secret.

“I’m smarter than the average eight-year-old Chi Chi” Anya gave back an answer that had Twilight confused, Anya was supposed to be nine, right? Unless she lied about that detail when I picked her up from that rundown orphanage?

Yor spoke up a bit from her shock “H-How did you know Anya?” She was slowly tearing up in fear from her secret assassination job being revealed. If anyone found out, then I’d have to leave.

Anya tilted her head to the side in confusion “Your secret is safe. I won’t tell anyone Mama & Papa’s secret to Uncle Yuri/SSS, WISE, The Garden along with Westalis or Ostania.” She had the brightest smile I’ve seen since she’s so far threatened to expose a worldwide national security emergency.

“Have you ever wondered where that warning sign of a bomb came from that almost ruined a peace treaty Papa?”  Anya questioned having a smug grin on her face that Twilight has never seen on his ward’s face until now, but it made him scared out of his wits.

“What about the time we were on that cruise and Mama was thought to be a circus performer from me, and her weapon was found nearby to help?” Yor never thought she would fear her own (fake) child but now she never felt more wrong of her own assumptions.

Twilight was breaking into a cold sweat hearing the small amount of information that only secret agents with top clearance and 10 times her senior were privy to know.

“A-A-Anya what you’re saying is VERY dangerous for anyone else to know about, we can’t always stay together” Twilight looked grim but was trying to fib through this in trying to find a way out “I don’t know how you know this information, but this is coming to an end.” He tried being stern with his words trying to indicate this wasn’t a game, but Anya wasn’t budging.

“NO! Mama is an Assassin and Papa is a Spy, I want both in my life along with Bond!” Anya screamed this while hugging Bond burying her face into his huge white coat of fur, the dog was close by since the beginning he saw one of these futures occur, but he wasn’t complaining.

If anything, Bond was all for Anya enacting this plan; he didn’t want to go back to that horrid place full of experiments on that day the dogs were used as bombs as a distraction to enact war. And even if he didn’t it wouldn’t feel like home anymore.

He never felt a kind warmth since the Forger’s allowed him into their home showering him with love, praise, and food instead of electrocution, tests, and degrading words that he wasn’t worth dirt by the men in the lab. But here he found his purpose and if that meant helping Anya to keep this family together, he will be happy to help in lending her his visions of the future in case anything went wrong.

While Bond and Anya were in their own world. Loid and Yor felt a cold sweat overcome both in knowing who the other is now, one is a spy while the other an assassin. It felt like there was a tight vice like grip around each of them since Anya sounded like she had a way in broadcasting their secret around the world.

Loid was in a full panicking meltdown in being discovered as a spy and having his identity compromised putting WISE in danger along with other agents that were only meant to keep the peace between two countries. He didn’t believe at first that Yor was what Anya said but with her monstrous strength and access to acupuncture points makes sense, he couldn’t believe that he didn’t make the discovery sooner!

Yor felt like she failed since the only reason she got into this line of work was all for her darling little brother Yuri to have a good life, she kept continuing because it kept people safe too when it came to international strife. Loid being a spy came as a surprise to Yor since she never was one to look deeper into matters unless something real fishy didn’t seem right, but now that she knew there wasn’t anything she could do. Even if she was given this information earlier, she wouldn’t turn Loid in if that was his real name that is?

“Ne Chi Chi, you, and Mama will stay together, right?” Anya inquired standing next to Bond expecting a clear answer that’ll please her.

“I-I-IIIIIIIIIIII” Twilight said to be held off from his answer, what is he gonna do?

Chapter 3: Entering into a Peace Treaty (Cease Fire)

Summary:

New episode of Spy x Family came out!!!!!! T^T
Remeber BOLD words are meant to be thoughts.
So happy, but for this chapter it's gonna be a wonder how they get out of this.

Chapter Text

"Of course we will Anya" Loid said with a small smile, accompanied by a trembling voice to the scary little girl he always used to buy peanuts for as a treat.

Anya seemed happy with that answer since she finally stopped pouting, jumping for joy and not using Bond as a stand anymore. "Yay! Let's go, eat dinner then;it's a bit cold but still yummy." She said that with such sincerity and glee that it almost made him let out a releaved sigh from being her Father.

Snap out of it Twilight! This isn't your daughter, she's a highly skilled child who knows 3 Secretive Organizations that can topple the world!

While Loid was contemplating what to do having his hand covering his face, it gave Anya an excuse to drag both of her parents to the dining room table with Bond following close behind.

Soon everyone started to eat the feast in front of them, once meant as a celebration but ended as a defeated surrender for Yor and Loid.

" Let's hope Anya doesn't discover that Yor's brother is part of the SSS or that Franky is with WISE. Maybe I can send a secret message to him requesting for help?" 

Twilight thought that but it sounded like a complete joke! He wonders if Franky will even believe him? Franky knows he NEVER jokes around when it comes to having his identity exposed so hopefully he'll help. There was NO WAY he would tell his "Handler" about the situation; she might do something drastic beyond even my expectations since she is quite impatient with results so Franky was a safe choice. Hell would seem like Heaven if he ever faced a punishment/scolding from Sylvia Sherwood. 

"Alright, let's invite Franky tomorrow as a guise to lower Anya's guard down."

  Hearing her Dad's plan almost made Anya want to laugh out at how silly her Pa was being in trying to pull a fast one on her. But she planned for this in case Mama or Papa tried any funny business.

Soon she announced something while standing on her chair leaning on the table, "Ma, Pa guess who I invited to come over tomorrow?" Anya had that smirking face on so her words had a bigger context than what she's implying; it put them both on edge because it wasn't a funny face anymore.

"It's a surprise, so no running away, or else an even bigger shock will come out instead from it." As Anya said that she looked them both directly in the eye already knowing what she was implying. She was so happy all her plans and wishes were coming true that nothing could stop her now! And if anything becomes a road block or an obstacle in her way well............she can always rely on Bond to find the solution.

Yor never felt so subdued in her life including Loid as well, since they held so many options and the upperhand in their respective jobs but now they have no choice but to comply or else their secrets will be exposed. Who know's what tomorrow will hold for our Spy Family.

I just felt such dopamine from watching the new episode of Spy x Family that I just had to write!
