Chapter Text
“Three stars burning bright, come from beyond to expel the night. Whether they fight or embrace the fall, their choice will determine all.”
“Well that isn’t very cheerful, is it?” Anne said to Sasha.
“No, it really isn't.”
They looked up at Mother Olm, “is there anything else?” Mother Olm looked down at them. “Yes. But it may not be what you want to hear, you and Sasha have to save your friend. She’s been turned into something that never sleeps and refuses to die. Whether you can bring yourselves to destroy it or not, shall determine the fate of Amphibia.”
Anne’s breath hitched at hearing this, “Marcy’s been turned into a monster? And we have to kill her ?!” Sasha yelled. Anne broke down into tears a few seconds later, Sprig and Polly went to comfort her while Sasha just paced back and forth.
“This is just.. How do we? I can’t kill my- UGH!” Sasha kicked a rock, it fell over the edge and clattered till it hit the bottom of the ravine. “Mother Olm, is there any other way we can defeat this.. thing. ” Mother Olm just shrugged her shoulders, “I really do not know. This is all the prophecy has given us, I recommend you five head home, and come up with a plan.”

“This is so stupid! ” Sasha yelled to Anne.
“Sasha, please.” Anne said, her voice cracking, “I don’t want to think about this. I don’t think I’m gonna be able to.. k- kill.. Marcy.” Anne felt nauseous saying the words out loud, she just looked at the table and listened to Sasha’s pacing stop.
“Anne. Look at me.”
Anne looked up at Sasha. They met eyes.
“We will find a way to save Marcy. I will NOT let her die.” Sasha said, determined, then moved to sit next to Anne and hold her.
The two girls sat like that for a while until Grime walked in, “Captain! The toad army is here to help. We plan to have them train these frogs even more. Then the other villages will come for training. We are planning to head out for war by the next waxing gibbous moon.”
Sasha shot up, “That’s in a month! Anne! We have to plan!”
“I’m really not in the mood.”
“That’s okay Anne, but tomorrow. We have to make plans. Then soon we will get the armies together, and we will fight! Do you think you’re up to announcing these plans to Wartwood?”
Anne nodded, standing up, “Come on, commander.” She said, grabbing Sasha’s hand. They walked out into the square, where the statue was. “Frogs of Wartwood!” Sasha yelled. The frogs walked out of their caves and gathered around the girls. “We will be training extra hard for the next month, because on the next waxing gibbous moon, we will fight !”
The frogs cheered, and Anne added in, “Me and Sasha will be making plans, and creating attack groups. We will win this war, and take down Andrias for good!” The Wartwoodians cheered even louder.
