To celebrate their 5th anniversary, the two of them decided to skip work and celebrate at Akutagawa's house.
The two of them went to Akutagawa's apartment, it was cozy yet relaxing to live in. Atsushi sat on the couch, as if it was his own home. Akutagawa didn't mind about it, it's Atsushi after all. So while Akutagawa was making some snacks for them to enjoy, Atsushi played some music and smiled at Akutagawa. He went to the kitchen, just to give backhugs to his partner.
"Did you know when we were in junior high, I didn't actually dance and no one invited me in prom back then." Atsushi said, Ryu was listening. "So I was sitting, waiting for someone but that time, I wasn't really feeling well that's why I came home early.
"You didn't told me about that, did you?" Ryu asked while making food for them, Atsushi shook his head in response. His chin was resting on Akutagawa's shoulder, watching how he's doing some sweets. Sprinkling some sugar on the top of brownies as the finished output, 2 cold chocolate-vanilla drinks that Akutagawa made. Of course, Atsushi sneaked into the kitchen just to steal some brownies and dance in the living room, but his mission failed as Akutagawa swatted his hand.
"That's fine, atleast we're dancing, just the two of us- and you, don't you dare steal my unfinished brownies!"
" I have got a little thing for you"
Akutagawa and Atsushi were dancing on Ryu's room tonight, since they skipped their work. They decided to have fun, even it's not cool to skip work, but why not? Atleast it'll be part of their memories.
" And it looks like my heart"
While dancing in the dark, they were also singing with their heart. Oh god- they were in love.
Ryu went in a little closer to Atsushi's face, both were smiling. Atsushi began to caress Ryu's face. They were together for 4 years, and tomorrow will be their 5th. The first 4 years was just getting to know each other or it was more known as enemies to classmates to friends to soulmates and to lovers.
" 'Cause it is my heart"
" And I'm giving it to you"
It's now 11: 30 pm. 30 mins to go, Ryu thought. I still have 30 minutes to prepare.. to propose..
"Atsu, what do you want to do in our 5th?"
Atsushi chuckled at that question, "what do I want? I remember saying chazuke in our 1st."
Ryu laughed, "that was silly, fool. But It was fun taking out you on a chazuke date."
"Well you ate all of my chazuke that time" Atsushi huffed, earning a chuckle from his beloved partner.
" My destiny is calling me"
"I guess this is one of my charms", Ryu snorted after hearing Atsushi saying. "Hey! Why are you laughing about it?! I remember you told me to go with you on a date when you were drunk! Wasn't it in highschool?", Atsu teased.
"She's telling me to love you (love you)
Love you good and endlessly, oh"
Both of them were now laughing while dancing. Atsushi noticed that Ryunosuke smiled more than before. He placed his arms over his shoulder, Atsushi's face was now closer to Ryu's face. Their eyes were looking to each other, breaths hitched together as if they don't how to breathe properly, they were in love for 8 years. 8 years...
"Hey, Ryuu"
"What?"
"Nobody gonna do it better than me

"I haven't answered your question yet. What do I want for our 5th..." Atsushi murmured but Ryuu can hear it.
"That's 'cause loving you is so easy (I was born to do it)

"I..."

"I, I've got a secret for you

You're fucking amazing" Atsushi was singing for a moment while looking to his eyes.
It's currently 11:50 pm, what does he want? Akutagawa wanted to kiss Atsushi now, but he'll still wait.
"Ryunosuke Akutagawa."
"Atsushi Nakajima."
"Pshh.. copycat! 10 more mins."
"Do you have a full name kink?"
"W-what?! no!"
Laughter was heard amidst the music, they looked to each other's eyes. Atsushi was smiling like a star. A real star or so Akutagawa thought. After a long silence of 5 minutes, Ryu finally spoke up something.
"Atsushi, I've been wanting to say this."
11:55, 5 more minutes.
"Before it becomes our 5th." I can't wait to marry you.
"My destiny is calling me
She's telling me to love you (love you)"
11:56pm, 4 more minutes.
"Atsushi, you were the star to my margarine."
"RYU?! HAHAHA"
"HAHAHA Just kidding."
"Ryu, you smell like strawberries. I love it."
"Thank you."
"I don't express my feelings much, but after meeting and staying with you for 4 years and will be 5 years now, I changed a lot. I was more happier, comfortable and wanting to live more with the rest of my life. You were the reason why I fight for my future, our future. You were my inspiration and motivation to live."
"I thought I could do the same for you. We went from enemies to rivals to friends and last, lovers. I've hurted you and still, you stayed with me. You trusted me, and I did the same for you."
"You taught me a lot of things, and I thought I should do it too for you. I'm grateful that I got a partner for eternity."
Atsushi was seen holding back his tears, how could he be so sweet...

We were 8 years together, 4 years of courting you, 4 years of being in an official relationship.
Atsushi felt there was something important that Ryu wanted to say, whatever it is, i'm ready to accept...

"Pfft. Jinko, shut up hellhound. I love you, you know that."
Ryunosuke smirked as he was getting the ring from his pocket. Atsushi did the same but with the matching necklace, on his pocket. Both of them didn't knew about it, it was secretive. Atsushi got some help from Yosano, while Akutagawa called Gin and Higuchi for help.
"That's 'cause loving you is so easy (I was born to do it)

"So to celebrate our 5th anniversary, will you marry me?"
The weretiger got speechless but had an idea to propose back. Atsushi didn't knew that Akutagawa was about to propose in their 5th, it was also his idea too.
"W-what-"
"I'm so sorry, I think that was too sud-"
Ryu was cut off by a soft kiss, he was surprised for a moment. He saw the lad's tears, tears of joy coming out. Warmth blossomed in Atsushi’s chest, sparks igniting as Ryu leaned in close, their lips brushing together, as if the world is going to end soon. They went more deep for love. There was a moment of eye contact yet the younger lad broke the contact.
"I hate you, Ryu." Atsushi was out of breath after he did it.
"What do you think was the answer?" Atsushi asked, while making Ryu closer to him. He actually have the necklace ready in his hand, and said "Ryu, I dislike you." Atsushi was getting ready to put the yang necklace on Akutagawa.
"Because I love you, so much. Yes, I do is the answer" Atsushi have placed the yang necklace on him, Akutagawa was surprised how sly his lover is. There was a moment of silence until realization hits Akutagawa. "You- Atsushi! Oh my god, you're so sneaky, aren't you?" Akutagawa held his lover's cheek, gently caressing him before giving him an another kiss.
The kiss was too sweet to handle, yet they still continued under the moonlight breeze.
"Happy anniversary, love."
"Cheers for eternity of happiness and luck. Happy 5th, my dragon."
"By the way, how did you do the necklace thingy? you're making me curious."
"Of course, hehe. I'm the great Atsushi" Atsushi was proud of himself after doing the "magic" trick to Akutagawa.
