Sunlight beams through the window and the light filters in through the blinds, casting a warm glow over Ruby's face. Her eyes flutter open as she stirs from sleep, turning to look up at the digital clock on her nightstand.
Ruby felt Penny stirring in her sleep, with a content smile tugging her lips as Penny was snuggling closer to her girlfriend. Ruby couldn't help but softly smile as she reaches her hand to Penny's curly and thick hair running her fingers through it gently. She had never seen the girl looking so peaceful as she slept next to her.
"Penny?" She whispers softly, causing Penny to stir slightly.
"Mmhmm," Penny hummed sleepily, moving closer so that her head is resting against Ruby's chest.
This caused a soft and breathy laugh from Ruby's lips, the rose leans forward to plant a gentle kiss on Penny's forehead. "I love you." Ruby whispered, placing another small kiss on Penny's head.
Penny blinks slowly, still not entirely awake as she opens her soft green eyes fully. A small smile crosses Penny's face when she notices Ruby looking at her lovingly. "I love you too." She said, smiling up to her lover.
Ruby felt the tip of Penny's fingers ghosting over a scar on Ruby's skin, Ruby felt herself shuddering to the gentle touch of her lover. "Y'know you don't have to tell me how beautiful these scars are, or anything like that." Ruby said, shifting so that she could see Penny better.
Penny stared down at Ruby, giving her a soft smile before bringing their foreheads together, closing her eyes. Ruby smiled as she felt Penny's warm breath wash over her face, leaning forward to peck her girlfriend's cheek. "I just wanted you to know." Penny gently said, pulling apart from Ruby so that she could bring her hand to cup Ruby's cheek, stroking her thumb gently.
With a contented sigh, Ruby leaned into the warm touch of Penny's palm holding her cheek, the rose turns her head to press a loving kiss to her palm. "You're beautiful." Penny smiled as she brought her other hand to wrap around Ruby's neck, tilting her head slightly as she leaned forward to press a gentle kiss to Ruby's lips.
Their lips were pressed together for a few seconds before Ruby pulled away. "It's time to get up." Ruby muttered softly, she kissed her girlfriend once more before climbing out of bed, leaving Penny laying there in shock.
Penny slowly sat up, rubbing her eyes as she stretched a bit. She smiled as Ruby walked back towards the bed.
"I didn't mean for you to go that quickly." Ruby chuckled.
"We have plans this evening! Don't you remember? Your sister, father, and friend Blake are coming over to visit, and I have to pay a visit to my father and my uncle." Penny exclaimed with a giddy smile, she hopped out of bed and grabbed her dark green overalls with sunflowers adorned on it and one of Ruby's shirts from off the ground. "Come on!" She cheered, grabbing both clothes and running to the door, throwing them on as she left the room.
With a sigh Ruby shook her head fondly and followed after her girlfriend, putting on her own clothes. Once they were dressed, Ruby and Penny headed downstairs where they spotted Qrow in the kitchen and drinking a mug of coffee.
Ruby tilted her head in confusion. "Uncle Qrow?"
When Ruby's voice came to Qrow, the huntsman almost dropped his mug of coffee. "Ah- shit." Qrow scattered to catch the mug before shattering to the ground, he chuckled nervously as he stood. "I can perfectly explain why I'm here." He added quickly, hoping that Ruby would let him off easy.
Penny giggled from behind Ruby. "Because of my girlfriend's super awesome pancakes?" Ruby smirked teasingly as she wrapped her arm around Penny's waist.
Qrow paused at the very moment those words were ripped away from Ruby's lips.
"Okay, you got me there," He said, in defeat of his niece. Qrow looked over to his niece who had a smug smirk on her face. Qrow glared at her for only a second before laughing it off. "Damn kids." Qrow muttered under his breath.
Once the four finished eating breakfast, Qrow assisted to help Penny to clean dishes as Ruby gathered the plates for them, it wasn't until the three of them heard a knock on the door. "That must be them!" Ruby beamed, hurrying herself to the front door.
She opened the door to reveal two women, she gasped slightly as she saw who they were. "Blake! Yang!" She yelled happily, jumping into their arms and spinning them around, Yang let out an excited shout as she picked her little sister up, twirling her around. "Hey squirt, how ya been?" She asked, setting her sister down with a beaming smile.
The rose smiled up to her sister. "Good! I've missed you guys!" Ruby replied, hugging each of them tightly.
"Uh hello? No hugs for me?" Taiyang spoke up with a teasing smile tugging his lips upwards, Ruby glanced at her father with a beaming smile. "Dad!" She laughed, wrapping her arms around his neck, squeezing him tight.
Taiyang chuckled and hugged his daughter. "Hey little rose." He mumbled, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
Penny beamed at the three guests standing at the doorway. "Welcome! It's so nice to see you all again!" She greeted cheerfully, and she was more than happy to welcome them inside her and Ruby's home.
Stepping inside the house, Blake had noticed the photo that Ruby and Penny kept, a photo of the entire team. "It's nice to see you again as well, Penny." Blake said as she smiled at her, Yang nodded her head in agreement as a kind gesture. "And how is the garden coming along?" Yang asked Penny, making her beam brightly.
"It's going wonderfully! Would you like to come outside and see it?" Penny asked with a sweet smile, gesturing towards the backyard.
Blake gave a sweet smile at Penny. "It would be our pleasure, Penny." Blake replied happily, as she reached her hand to hold Yang's hand and smile at her adoringly.
Penny flapped her hands happily. "Great!" She exclaimed, as she walked through the halls and through the door and into the yard, where Yang and Blake, along with Taiyang followed her from behind.
Ruby softly smiles, out of adoration for Penny and her beautiful smile, her star-kissed freckles and such pretty green eyes.
Qrow noticed his niece simply adoring her girlfriend. "Heh, you really love her huh?" Qrow asked with a smile drawn on his lips, Ruby turned to her uncle, her cheeks flushed. "Well yes-" She began before being interrupted by Qrow laughing.
"I knew that was what this was about! I'm not surprised that you guys are already dating." Qrow said, ruffling Ruby's hair, which made her blush harder.
"Yeah, about that." Ruby quietly said, rubbing the back of her neck, a shy smile appearing on her face.
A look of concern and worry twisted Qrow's face. "What's the matter kiddo? Is everything okay?" Qrow prompted as he gently planted his hand on Ruby's shoulder, admittedly the huntsman was curious as to what has gotten Ruby so nervous.
Ruby hesitated for a moment before her hand reaches down to her pocket, drawing out a silver ring shining bright in the sunlight, with roses adorned on the silver band. "I'm going to propose to Penny, tonight." She confessed with a soft smile, turning her gaze to her feet.
Qrow's crimson eyes widened slightly as he stares at his niece, a huge smile spreading across his face. "Wow, congrats kid! I'm so proud of you!" Qrow cried out, enveloping his niece in a big bear hug.
Ruby giggled as she smiles at her uncle, tears filling her eyes, happy tears, the ones that were shed for her parents but also for someone else. "Thanks uncle Qrow." She said with a happy grin.

In a garden of beautiful red roses that kindly scattered, the azaleas and sunflowers were scattered with the rose's beauty. Tulips, primroses, and dandelions planted around them all so prettily, perfect where the sun and the moonlight can shine upon, and where the rain can pour down onto.
Yang found herself in awe, her hand reached to ghost the tip of her fingers on the tall sunflowers, the blonde turned to glance at Penny with a grin dawning on her lips. "Penny! These are amazing, you didn't do the gardening all by yourself, right?" Yang asked curiously looking around in wonder. She took one step closer towards the sunflower, feeling her lilac orbs sparkle as she stared deeply into the large flower.
"Of course not!" Penny says with a sweet smile. "Ruby was more than happy to help me garden the flowers. It was one of our first moments together in content after everything that happened." She said, kneeling down to gently hold a rose in her hand, softly smiling at the petals.
Taiyang lets out a soft and breathy laugh. "It's amazing what you and Ruby did here, it was actually one our own father-daughter time together, just gardening flowers. All we did was gardening roses, that's the only flower that Ruby ever wanted to garden, she said it was Summer's favorite flower." The blonde's smile softened at those sweet memories, those cherished memories he kept close, where he had moments with his daughters.
Penny glanced her eyes at blue ones, she stood from the soft grass as she faced Taiyang. "Mr. Xiao Long, I've been meaning to ask-" Penny begam before interrupted from Taiyang's soft chuckle. "Oh please, call me Taiyang." He reminded gently.
"Right," Penny nodded her head as she took a deep breath. "Taiyang, may I propose to your daughter? It's a romantic gesture that humans considered staying together forever, and with Ruby, I would love to be with her, always." Penny says earnestly, hope was evident in her voice as she looked up waiting for an answer. Her expression remained soft, with a smile dawning her.
Blake and Yang quietly gasped in awe of surprise. "Holy shit." Yang whispered to herself, earning a gentle nudge from her wife.
Tears prickled in the corner of Taiyang's blue eyes, a small laugh escaped past his lips. "She's my little girl," Taiyang replied, holding back tears as he looked up to see both Blake and Yang. The blonde remembered when Yang showed him the ring that she was going to propose to Blake with, and now it happening again, but with Ruby's beloved asking the rose's hand in marriage. "And I want nothing more than my daughter to be happy and safe, and that's what you've given to each other, so yes- yes of course you can marry my daughter!" Taiyang beamed as he went to pull Penny into a hug and spinning her around.
Penny giggled with glee, her smile beaming with joy that Taiyang accepted her offer in marrying Ruby.
"Hey! Do you have a ring to propose with?" Yang called out from behind, Taiyang quickly set Penny down, the ginger grinned at the blonde. "That's why I'm visiting my father and his friend, to ask for help. Because I'm proposing tonight." Penny said, she gave Yang a bright smile, her eyes sparkling with happiness.
Their eyes widened. "Tonight?!" The three asked in unison, Penny nodded her head enthusiastically. "That's right, tonight!" Penny clasped her hands together happily.
Yang begins to softly chuckle. "I mean, I may have done the same with Blake, all I know is that I wanted to be with her for as long as possible, even if that means forever. She's someone I love, someone that makes me happy. If that's the same way you feel about Ruby, then you both deserve to be happy." Yang said, her voice eliciting with content.
A faint blush crept on Blake's cheeks, she smiles lovingly at Yang with admiration glistening in her golden eyes. "That's what we've been fighting for so long, and all the wait is worth it." Blake said, bringing Yang's hand to her lips, only to plant a soft kiss atop of her hand.
Penny nodded her head in agreement with a sweet smile. "I've learned that love is worth it, so with Ruby, it'd be worth everything," She replied to Blake comment, eliciting a soft tone in her voice, Penny turned to face Taiyang. "And thank you, Taiyang. For letting me marry your daughter, I promise to keep her safe and happy." Penny swore to Ruby's father, a promise that she'll keep by heart.
"You've already done that, but thank you Penny." Taiyang smiles warmly at Penny, the ginger beams a smile back and pulls Taiyang into another hug.
Yang softly chuckles when she noticed her father in awe of surprise in Penny's strength. "Hey uh- Penny I appreciate the kind gesture but I'm pretty sure you are breaking my ribs." Taiyang lets out a weak laugh.
Penny's eyes grew widened as she realized that she had been hugging Taiyang too hard. "Oh! I am so sorry!" Penny worried over Taiyang, gently setting him down onto the soft grass. A little chuckle rips past through Taiyang's lips. "Don't worry about apologizing, Penny. Honestly! I'm impressed by your strength." He complimented with a big grin on his lips.
Penny lets out a laugh. "Thank you, Taiyang! But I don't need strength if Ruby is here with me," She said softly, speaking ever so fondly of Taiyang's daughter.
The ginger turns to face Yang with a grin. "I have a few moments before I have to visit my father, would you like to help me and the garden?" Penny kindly offered the blonde.
Yang grins widely at Penny, nodding her head vigorously. "Of course! After all, we're going to be sister in-laws, aren't we?" Yang joked making the two chuckle. With a soft nod, Penny and Yang turn their attention to the roses, tending to the other flowers of the garden while Taiyang and Blake have a little chit-chat together.
They've been at the garden tending the flowers, just until Penny realized that is it's time to pay a visit to her father. "Ah! I must get going, I'll see you all soon!" Penny says cheerfully, standing up from her crouching position.
Taiyang smiled as he watched Penny make her way towards the door. "Good luck!" Taiyang shouted with a grin dawning on his lips.
Yang smiled widely at Penny, waving her goodbye. "Bye Penny!" Yang cheered, her voice ringing in delight.
Blake softly smiles at Yang, she rested her head on the blonde's shoulder. "I'm happy for Ruby and Penny." She spoke softly, Yang smiles warmly and wraps her arm around Blake's waist, pulling her closer. "Me too, they deserve to find happiness too." Yang added in a calm, soft voice.
Penny made her way inside the house, to where she found Ruby and Qrow. With a smile tugging her lips upwards, Penny went over to her beloved rose with the most loving look in her eyes, Ruby immediately perked up upon seeing her girlfriend approach, her eyes sparkled in admiration. "Penny! How is the garden?" Ruby asked sweetly.
The ginger softly smiles and leans forward to give a sweet kiss to the rose's lips. "It's beautiful! the colors are quite breathtaking, I really enjoy it." Penny admitted with an affectionate smile adorning her lips.
Ruby let out a sigh of relief as she smiled wide. "Glad you like it." She replied with a small giggle.
"It was all thanks to you, rosebud." Penny said affectionately, giving a soft peck on Ruby's cheek. "I'm going off to visit my father now, I'll be back soon." Penny promised, giving her best beloved another loving kiss to her lips.
Ruby simply nods her head, watching her girlfriend leave the house, her smile growing wider. "I can't wait to marry her." Ruby said with a content sigh ripping away from her lips.
Qrow lets out a soft and breathy chuckle. "I'm happy for you kiddo." Qrow says proudly, ruffling his niece's hair, Ruby smiles softly up to her uncle.

Penny happily makes her way to her father's home, along the way she picks up dandelions as a gift. Eventually, once Penny found her way to Pietro's home, she reached her hand to knock on the door, waiting patiently for anyone to answer.
To her hopes, Maria was the one to answer the door.
Upon seeing Penny once again, Maria smiles at her. "Ah, dear girl! It's so nice of you to visit!" Maria exclaimed happily as she reached her hand to rest atop of Penny's hand.
"Who's there?" another voice came, rather a scold than being kind. Maria rolled her eyes at hearing Watts' voice. "It's Penny you skeleton man!" Maria shouted, curling herself into a fit of giggles once she heard Arthur groan frustratingly at the name.
Watts steps into the scene with his emerald eyes narrowed at Maria. "We both agreed upon that you would stop calling me skeleton man." He scolded at the old woman.
Maria chuckles at the former scientist and his frustration. "Whatever you say, skeleton man," She teased playfully, Penny began giggling quietly to herself before Maria drifted her gaze back to Penny. "Apologies my dear, what brings you here?" Maria kindly asked as she welcomed Penny into the cozy and comfortable home.
Penny softly smiles at Maria, as she seated herself comfortably on the couch with her hands resting on her lap. "I came to see my father, I was hoping you and doctor Watts would know where he is?" Penny asked, hopefully.
"Oh of course my dear! Pietro is in his little workshop, as always. But he would be delighted to see his beautiful daughter." Maria assured, giving a gentle pat on Penny's hand.
And yet, Watts couldn't help but ask. "What are you visiting your father for?" Arthur inquired with a cold tone, his gaze never leaving Penny.
Penny drifted her soft green eyes at Arthur, with a small smile drawn on her lips. "I want to propose to Ruby, tonight. And I don't have a ring yet so, I was hoping father would help me." She said, clasping her hands together as she smiles warmly at the thought of Ruby.
Watts almost spat out his tea when he heard about Penny proposing to Ruby. "Goddamnit." He cursed under his breath when the tea stained his shirt.
Maria gasped audibly with a widened smile dawning on her. "Penny that's wonderful news! I've always been so happy for you and Ruby, so has been your father. You two are so perfect together!" Maria reached her hands to cup Penny's cheeks with a wide grin.
Penny lets out a gentle laugh as her eyes soften at Maria's kindness. "Thank you Maria, I'm glad to hear you think so." She thanked with a smile. "Please, make sure my dear to tell me how it goes! I truly do want to hear how it goes." The old woman begged, her eyes shining in excitement, Penny smiles at Maria, a slight chuckle escaping from her lips. "I promise to tell you everything." She replies to Maria with a kind voice, causing Maria to beam in joy.
With a final squeeze on Penny's cheek, Maria lets go of her. "Run along, Penny dear, go see your father." Maria encourages, earning a bright smile from Penny.
Before Penny could make her way to Pietro's workshop, she was stopped for only Watts to speak up. "I hope you two will be happy together." Arthur says with a small and sincere smile, Penny's brows rise slightly, looking surprised for the sincere wish. Her face then morphed into one of pure and utter joy. "Thank you doctor Watts!" Penny said gratefully with a huge grin on her lips as she hurries herself to her father.
Maria slowly drifted her gaze at Watts with a smirk growing on her lips. "You've grown soft." She whispered, teasingly.
Arthur huffed at the old woman. "If you keep talking nonsense, I'll throw you out the window." Arthur warned, Maria gave a light chuckle. "As if I'd fall." She mumbled under her breath.

After finding her father's workshop, Penny quickly found the door open and peeking inside, she saw her father tinkering away in his own little world. Walking closer, Penny gently knocked on the doorframe which caused her father to turn around, his gaze landing upon his daughter.
Pietro's lips were dawned with a gentle, warm smile to see his precious daughter. "My darling!" Pietro greeted excitedly, Penny beams at her father as she hurries herself to hug her father closely. "It's great to see you dad!" She happily responded.
"How has life been treating you, my lovely child?" Pietro asks kindly, reaching his hands to cup his daughter's cheeks, looking at those star-kissed freckles. "It's been wonderful! I've made new friends here at the garden, they're wonderful!" Penny gushed as she continued to talk animatedly about her day.
Pietro chuckled softly at the sound of his daughter's joyful tones. "You sound very pleased by yourself, I'm happy for you," Pietro replied softly. "But, there's a reason why you came here to visit, correct?" Pietro asks curiously, his tone laced with curiosity and concern.
The girl takes a deep breathe and nodded her head, she gently opened the palm of her father's hand, letting the dandelions rest on his grasp. "I'm going to propose to Ruby," Penny softly said, her soft green eyes drifting to her father's eyes. "And I need help to create a perfect ring for her." She said, her voice still soft as she trails her hand to hold Pietro's wrist.
Pietro could feel trinkets of tears in his eyes, he felt his heart swell with pride for his daughter, and a sense of joy filled his heart knowing that his daughter was happy and well taken care of. "My little girl," Pietro said in a broken soft voice he felt his daughter's thumb gently wiping away tears, Pietro gently squeezed Penny's hand. "Of course, my dear. I'm more than happy to help my darling girl, She'll love it and it'll be perfect, just as you like you." He assures, placing a fond kiss upon his daughter's forehead.
Penny sniffled with a weak smile. "Thank you, father." She said, pulling her father close in a tight hug as her arms wrapped tightly around him, Pietro gladly returns the embrace, holding his daughter tight within his arms. "I love you so much." Pietro mumbles against his daughter's shoulder.
Penny couldn't help but let out an audible sniffle as she pulled away from the embrace, she wiped away any leftover tears and gave a small nod. "Love you too, dad." She whispered softly, leaning forward to plant a sweet kiss onto her fathers temple.
Pietro smiled softly at the action, and he gave his daughter a comforting look. "Well, time to get to work." He mused, Penny couldn't help but follow behind her father as he made his way to his workshop.

Hours passed and eventually, after many hours of working with Pietro, along with Watts, they managed to finish making Penny and Ruby's engagement rings.
The rings were pieces of their weapons, both had a small golden band encased upon them, in the center was an engraving of a rose with a small gemstone. The golden rings held a small piece of paper inscribed with a poem that would represent their love.
When the two former scientists completed the rings, Pietro handed them over to Penny, who accepted them with a loving smile. "Here you go, dear." Pietro said gently, offering her a warm smile.
Tears glistened in her soft green eyes as she gazes upon the two beautiful rings that were made with their weapons. "Thank you," Penny responds, taking the boxes into her hands. "They're beautiful, dad, thank you so much." Penny said softly, her voice began to sound hoarse as a single tear dropped on her hand.
Pietro softly brushed the tear away with his thumb. "Of course darling, it's alright. I want nothing more than to see you happy and loved." Pietro comforted softly as he embraced his beloved daughter again, Penny buried her head into her father's shoulder, feeling safe with him.
She couldn't remember a happier moment since she arrived in this world, she couldn't recall a better place or a better family to call her own, she couldn't believe the things her family had gone through in order to bring her here, she couldn't believe how far they have come.
The doctor sat in comfortable silence at the father-daughter's embrace, enjoying a few moments of peace while he watches them in amusement. It wasn't until Penny drifted her gaze at Arthur with a gentle smile. "And thank you, doctor Watts. For the rings, and for being here with us." Penny said, smiling at the doctor, a genuine smile graced her features.
Watts returned her smile with a warm one of his own, giving a small nod of acknowledgment. "I know how important this must be for you and Ruby, I've known that feeling with a certain other. And of course, creating artificial intelligence that I now call my beloved niece," Arthur replied, a faint smile crossing his lips. "I am happy you find something like that so fulfilling and so worthwhile." He adds, his tone sounded sincere, as he gives a gentle pat on her back Penny couldn't help but smile at this.
Maria opens the door with a smirk dawned on her lips. "I knew it! You've gotten soft, Arthur Watts!" Maria cheered triumphantly, just before she scattered away so that Watts wouldn't chase and scold her.
Arthur found himself dumbfounded, just before he was twisted with utter irritation. "Maria Calavera I'm throwing you out this gods forbidden window!" Arthur shouted in a furious voice, his emerald eyes narrowed. "Try me you skeleton of a man!" Maria cackled through the halls.
Penny giggled and turned her gaze to Pietro. "I am so sorry you have to live with such bicker." Penny apologized sincerely.
Pietro softly chuckles at his daughter's sympathy. "Oh darling it's fine, we're just happy for you and Ruby," Pietro assured as a gentle smile graces his lips. "Now go, return to Ruby and tell us everything." He encouraged his daughter.
Penny grinned brightly at the suggestion. "I will!" She promises, hugging her father once more. "Take care, papa." She said, planting a kiss to his temple before heading off to see Ruby once again.

The beautiful colors of dawn painted the sky over the rooftop of Penny and Ruby's peaceful home, and in their backyard the flowers were reflected by those dawn colors.
"Higher! Uncle Qrow go higher!" Ruby groaned in frustration over her uncle raising the fairy lights around the backyard.
Qrow cawed at his niece, Taiyang gasped audibly at the crow. "Don't you dare swear at my daughter!" Taiyang chastised playfully, chuckling a bit to himself, Qrow simply glared at his the blonde man and cawed at him as well.
Ruby lets out a deep sigh of frustration and attempts to calm herself, until she felt Yang's hand resting upon her shoulder. "Hey uh, sis? I know you're trying to make everything perfect for your proposal, but you're taking way too much pressure on yourself rather than seeing the most important part about this." Yang spoke up, her voice sounding a bit worried for her little sister.
Blake came along with a twisted look of worry. "Ruby you're stressing yourself out, don't forget that you'll be asking someone who is the love of your life to marry you. Can you imagine how nervous Yang must've been when she planned to propose to me?" Blake gently said, reaching over to touch her sister's arm. But with her gentle words, she earns a soft chuckle from Ruby's lips.
"I literally was there to see Yang being freaked out." Ruby reminded with a lighthearted grin.
"Yes, you two are just alike when it comes to proposing to the love of your life, no matter how hard you try to be careful. Yang wanted to make her proposal special, but the precious part is being with someone you love, forever. Sometimes, and many times, that's all that matters when it comes to proposals," Blake says, a gentle smile playing at her lips. "Now, remember, what's the most precious part about this night?" Blake kindly asked.
Ruby lets out a gentle and breathy laugh. "To be with Penny, I know." Ruby softly said, Blake gently pats the rose's shoulder with a proud smile. "Good, remember that." Blake gently reminded, Ruby nodded her head confidently as she hurries off to finish the preparations.
Yang leans in as her lilac eyes never leave Blake's gaze. "Honey, I love how you calmed Ruby and all but, was mentioning my proposal and the way I freaked out was to encourage Ruby about her proposal to Ruby?" Yang questioned, raising a brow as Blake chuckled lightly.
"Yes, yes it was." Blake said with a cheeky grin.
"I love you so much." Yang said, pressing a tender kiss to her wife's lips. Blake returned the gesture.
Eventually, once everything is prepared, Penny came home just in time. "Ruby? Ruby I'm home!" Penny called out excitedly, causing Ruby to turn towards the door and instantly brighten up when she saw her girlfriend's face appear at the doorway.
"Everyone scatter!" Taiyang said in a hushed tone, as he jumps over the fence to fall into bushes, Qrow flying away, as Blake and Yang hidden themselves.
Ruby rushed towards Penny with a smile painted with adoration, she wraps her arms around Penny's neck, pulling her down for a soft and passionate kiss. Penny melted into the kiss, wrapping her arms tightly around the rose, lifting the smaller girl up slightly. "Mmm, someone's happy to see me." Penny said with a soft smile dancing on her lips.
"You have no idea." Ruby responded with a giggle, her cheeks tinted pink with happiness.
Gently, Penny set her girlfriend down, she then places a finger under Ruby's chin, tilting her head up to meet her gaze. "You're absolutely beautiful, my love." Penny cooed, brushing a stray hair behind Ruby's ear. Ruby blushed deeply and softly chuckles. "Romancing me, huh? Wait till I show you the backyard." Ruby said with a cheeky grin, reaching to hold Penny's hand.
Penny laughed softly as she followed behind her wife, both of them making their way to the backyard, her soft green eyes gazing upon the beautiful glowing fairly lights like fireflies and the moonlight above, how the stars are perfectly aligned in soft-glowing hues. The flowers in the grass danced beautifully in the beautiful wind created by the night, their vibrant colors reflecting the moonlight like diamonds.
Those soft green eyes glisten from the stars above, Penny found herself in absolute awe of all of this, for what Ruby did for her.
Ruby placed both her hands on Penny's waist, looking at her lovingly before bringing their foreheads together. "Can you believe how much you mean to me?" Ruby whispered, her eyes locked on emerald orbs. Penny let out a loving laugh. "How could anyone not feel the same?" She answered, her heart swelling at the sight of her beloved.
Their lips met in a slow and sweet kiss, they parted slowly after some time to catch their breaths, Penny smiled at her. "It's really wonderful knowing that someone feels this way about you." Her tone was full of affection and sincerity.
This was it.
This was her perfect time.
"Ruby, you've always been there for me, you called me your friend and I fell for you. We've been protecting each other's souls, hearts, for such a long time and we have so many beautiful scars and so much love. And please, I've always admired how strong you are, but despite of being strong, you deserve to be loved. I couldn't be happier, to know that it's you who I'm loving."
Slowly, Penny gets on one knee.
Ruby returned her smile as she cups her girlfriend's cheeks, caressing her star-kissed freckles gently. Slowly, her silver eyes grew widened when the rose realized what he beloved was doing.
"Ruby Rose, will you mar-"
"Wait! Wait stop I'm so so sorry just- Hold on!"
Penny paused with confusion evident on her features. "What?" She queried softly.
Ruby let out a heavy breath, as she averts her gaze down to the ground nervously. Her hand reaches towards her pocket, drawing out the silver ring adorned with roses.
Penny lets out a soft gasp, her soft green eyes in awe of the silver band. "Penny, I was always there for you because I've always adored your love and support for everyone, and with you around, you help knowing that everything is going to be okay. And you can say you already saved my life because of this, and you made sure I was going to keep smiling everyday, no matter how hard it gets. And I hope I'll do the same for you, protector of our hearts."
The rose lets out a shaky breath, her hands trembling from nervousness. This was the moment where she finally would ask Penny to officially become her wife.
Penny reaches her hand to gently hold Ruby's wrist, despite the tears glistening in her eyes, Penny was dawned with a gentle smile. "How about we ask at the same time?" Penny kindly suggested. Ruby softly chuckles. "I'd like that." She replied with a small smile.
They both got down on one knee, holding the rings in their hands.
Ruby spoke up, softly. "Penny Polendina-"
Penny rose her voice more gentle. "Ruby Rose-"
"Will you marry me?
Ruby and Penny beam at each other, such loving smiles painted with joy, knowing that the other will always love them, and protect them. "Yes!" Both the huntresses shouted.
They then proceeded to intertwine the rings together while staring lovingly at their joined hands. Ruby leaned forward, capturing each other's lips in a serene kiss filled with promise and joy, Penny returns the tender kiss.
When they broke apart, Ruby wiped her tears, her breathing heavily as she smiles brightly, and held Penny's hands tightly.
Penny's smile only grew wider at her adorable wife. "Ruby Rose-Polendina has a nice ring to it." She giggled gleefully, Ruby rolled her eyes playfully and gently presses her forehead against Penny. "Shut up." Ruby whined softly, trying not to burst out laughing at her love's antics.
Penny kisses her head, as she pulls away gently. "I love you." She whispers with a content sigh.
Ruby happily nods her head. "And I love you too." The rose replied, just as lovingly as her wife.
With those words, their wedding rings were fitted on their fingers, and they were completely happy. "Thank you," Penny murmured with a smile. "For loving me, for supporting me every step of the way." Penny continued.
"Anytime, you know I'd do anything for you." Ruby stated, her tone soft and sweet, Penny gave her a warm smile and kissed her again.
After that night, everything has been bliss and content, satisfied and loved in each other's arms.
