Three years later.
It’s a calm day and I'm in the shallows with my pups Kris, Ness and new mates Eclipse and Ccino. Thinking of the surprise I have for my other mates. I’m also reminiscing amongst the sea kelp that land dwellers call seaweed. I honestly couldn't believe that this isn't a dream that I'm not stuck behind some glass like I’m in an aquarium and just how much I’m loved and cherished. The Last four and a half years have been the best of my entire life which Ironically started as the worst of my life as the day the doctor sent papa to put Blank somewhere “suitable” and papa gave Blank to Geno. we met the Terror of the Deep and Sea’s Star along with their shiver consisting of an alpha Great white and folowers Bull and oceanic white tip Seeing Cross finally do his mating dance with me. Eventually the others followed suit and we all mated and we eventually found a sassy little goldfish mer with the name of Eclipse that I instantly fell for and I wanted to court them along with Horror’s little land dweller friend we all eventually fell and love and were happy till I found out that I'm the destined mate of Dream, Nightmare, Ink and Error which caused some mistrust with me and Cross and Eclipse and the others however we decided to wait till we decided I was ready to take on more mates before Ink and Error mateed with me sense Mia’s death kept coming to mind and with Cross not able to constantly reassure me that history doesn't repeat and hurt me in the end like it did with Mia and Blank’s birth father. Though I do have to admit it is so hard to resist the pull to mate them every heat I can feel myself wanting them and Night and Dream to note even just mate to just be near me. Eventually we head home and curl up together in the safety of Night's tentacles. The Next Day
When I wake up I decide that I want to spend the day with Eclipse today so after informing Night that we are leaving the grotto and of course having Killer come along. When we make it to the shallows I and Clipse lounge on a couple of rocks while Killer makes some entertainment by lunging at some passing salmon and scaring them. We are not hungry yet so we aren't hunting because Horror hates wasting food. We love it when one of them does this because it relaxes our instincts and reassures us that our mates can protect us and themselves and our children. We hear someone calling us back and when we return we see everyone readying to go somewhere then I realize It’s almost Blanks 5th birthday.
(Time skip till after Blank gets taken by the children and Layla becomes their mama and they accept their birth parents Nightmare and Error for Tenpatch and Ink and Dream Palette Roller. Error is Ama(Mother) Nightmare is Abba(Father) for Tenpatch. While Dream is Palette’s Dreamama and Ink is Ki-baba.)
I'm waiting with Nighty and the gummies for food. While we are waiting I start thinking about allowing the chaos duo to spend my season with me. When the others get back with food solidfiles me intent after seeing the cute interaction between Error and Nightmare telling their son nothing is wrong with him having his mothers features while looking at Nightmare has a slight smirk while Error looks at me slightly hopeful that I would agree with them. I agree with a heavy blush on my face telling my boys that yes nothing is wrong with having cute features like their parents and anyone who has anything bad to say can deal with me. This causes Ink, Error, Dream and Nightmare to blush like I am. Ha! that'll teach him to not tease me about my attraction to teeth. Eventually we decided to stay in Ink and Error territory long enough for the gummies to recover. Now to tell them I’m pregnant I chirp for Cross and he comes immediately and I kiss him hard then say it loud enough for the others to hear as well” I’m pregnant”. “Really mama” Ness asks excitedly “yep” I reply “YAY” they both start talking about how cute the pups will be and how they will be the bestest older siblings. While I think I broke Dream, Nightmare and the Shiver. I timidly look towards them and am gripped and pulled softly towards Nightmare’s giant body and then swarmed by my eager mates other than Eclipse, Kelp and Ccino. As they already knew they wanted to give the others time to adjust to the happy news. Something they need to tell is that they are pregnant too. And they do and that gets them pulled into the hug as well. Before we brought the gummies home Stretch and Blue had an announcement. “We are moving back to Bermuda Island. Ink and Error are coming too obviously. ” After a tender moment between Night and Tenpatch that warms my SOUL. Night will be a great father just like the others. I just know it. Blank decides to share their birthday with their cousin. While papa Classic makes the chocolate cake big enough for them. Oh Seas the gummies were so cute eating the cake and Blank thinks they were sneaky by giving them half of their slice of cake though it was amusing to watch them tire out my mates other than Eclipse,Kelp and Ccino. The most amusing part was that they settled down as soon as I gave them the mother's stern look. That got a chuckle out of my non exhausted mates. They zoom across the grotto faster than even Killer, who is the fastest of us to catch, which is so cute, mainly the Gummies giggles and laughter. Once, they were called Paleirool and Tennëpachi. “You are Paleirool and Tennëpachi of Cratishia no longer. You are Palette Roller and Tenpatch. Your cousin has named you so.” Their new names sound and feel similar to the ones they’ve always known, but the meaning is different: warmer, fuller. They learn even more new words and names. The waters beyond the Temple walls are endless and filled with so many things that the gummies never knew. So many different kinds of delicious food – whales, turtles, chocolate – so many different colors and sensations and sounds. Not all humans and monsters are bad. Some can be green-kind. The more Palette and Tenpatch learn, the more their curiosity grows. They want to learn more. They want to see more. They want to travel more. Later, after their bones strengthen and their magic grows, they would give into their wanderlust and, to the reluctance of their family, they would set out to the big, wide sea for their own adventures. But that is later. For now, they play hide-and-seek with Blank among the shipwrecks and whale bones as the adults watch them from afar with soft smiles and murmured conversation. For now, they are content to be where they are, safe and healing. Palette and Tenpatch squeal with glee when Blank comes upon their hiding place. “Found you!” they crow, before giving chase as they scatter with chimes of laughter.
