I believe that strength is the most important aspect of a youkai, so the fact that most Tengu rarely willingly engage in battle is disappointing to me.

Some say I’m more similar to an Oni than my Tengu appearance would imply. I would agree with that mindset!

Her Eminence was once a mighty warrior herself, you know… But that is not for me to divulge in the midst of battle.

I think people misunderstand what my role is in regards to being an Envoy to Amateratsu. While my role is ultimately to call upon Her in the midst of a world-ending crisis, most judgements lie upon me as Her servant.

In retrospect, my role really hasn’t mattered since Gensokyo was founded and I left with the Oni to live in Former Hell, but perhaps that is why…? No, nevermind.
