Christopher smiled as he, Buck, and Eddie walked into the station. He had the day off school because the school had flooded so they needed to clean it up. Carla had something else going on and his Tia Pepa and his Abuela had both been sick so he couldn’t stay with them.
“Hey there Chris, how are you, kiddo?” Chim asked as the three of them entered the loft.
“Hey Chim, I’m good, looking forward to spending the day here with you guys,” he answered as he sat down with his backpack.
“Maybe we can play videogames later,” Ravi said with a smile.
“Homework first, Eddie reminded gently. “Remember just because the school is flooded doesn’t mean you don’t have homework. Your teachers sent it to me and it’s on your tablet.” Chris huffed but nodded reluctantly.
“I know,” he grumbled. Bobby laughed at the interaction.
“Well homework can wait a bit. How about some breakfast? I made pancakes and sausage,” he explained. Everyone quickly hurried to the table to dig in before the alarm went off.
“So, which one of you is going to be man behind today?” Bobby questioned the two men sitting across from him.
“I will if that’s okay?” Buck questioned. Bobby nodded as he ate his last bite of pancake just as the alarm went off calling the entire house to a fire. Eddie quickly placed a kiss on Buck’s lips before kissing Chris and ruffling his hair before following the others to the rigs.
“Well, I guess it’s just you and me Superman. What do you say we clean up then we can get started on that homework so you can have some fun when it’s done?” Buck suggested as he started gathering up everyone’s dishes. Nodding Chris got up and helped clear the table. Fifteen minutes later he was settled on the couch working on his English homework while Buck was working on some chores for the station.

A couple hours later Chris sighed as he finished his final assignment.
“Hey Bucky?”
“Yes Superman?”
“Can I go outside and walk around a bit? I won’t go far; I just want to be outside.”
“How about we go on a short walk. I’ve done what I can. The laundry is in the dryer so I can’t do anything until it’s done. Smiling Chris got up and started heading for the stairs. “Jacket first, bud,” Buck corrected.
“Oh right,” Chris giggled as he took the jacket buck held out and slipped it on. After grabbing his crutches, the two of them headed out into the cool spring air. After walking for a bit, they decided to play catch with a baseball that was kept at the station for when kids come to the station and need a distraction. After another good throw by Chris Buck caught the ball and looked up to see Chris shivering.
“I think it’s time to go inside, buddy,” he told the young boy.
“Awe, Buck do we have to?” Chris pouted giving him puppy dog eyes.
“Yes, we do, your dad will kill me if you get sick.”
“But…” Chris started to whine.
“No buts, come on inside and we can have some hot chocolate,” Buck cajoled.
“With Marshmallows?” Chris requested.
“As if there is any other way to drink it?” Buck declared. “Come on let’s go,” he said ushering Chris back towards the station so they could both warm up.
XXXXXXXXXX
Chris was wiping his face after his hot coco when Buck stood up.
“I’ve got to get the laundry; do you want to help me fold it?” he asked. Chris nodded and took his cup to the sink. Buck nodded and headed for the laundry room with the basket to fill it with the load of towels he had just washed. Chris had just picked up his book to do a bit more reading until Buck came back when he heard crying. Frowning he looked up. Was Aunt Maddie coming by with baby Jee? Or maybe there was someone else who needed help and knew they could come to the fire station to get it. Putting his book down he made his way to where he heard the crying. He gasped when he saw a baby in a car seat with a small bag next to it. It didn’t even look like the baby had much to keep it warm accept what it was wearing and a very light blanket. He looked around but didn’t see any grownups with the baby. He knew this wasn’t right and he wasn’t sure what to do but he knew his Bucky would know what to do.
“Buck! Come quick!” he called out trying not to panic.
Hearing Chris yell Buck dropped the basket of towels and took off running.
“Where are you, Christopher?”
“I’m by the big doors,” he answered back.
“Are you hurt?” Buck asked as he came running over.
“No, but I’m not sure about the baby,” Chris answered. Buck was about to ask what he meant when he reached where he was standing and spotted the baby who was sitting on the floor in front of him. They had clearly just stopped crying but a few tears still slid down their face. Picking the car seat up Buck made his way to the couch calling to Christopher over his shoulder.
“Hey Superman, can you grab that bag and bring it here?”
“Yeah,” Chris responded grabbing the bag and carrying it to where Buck was gently removing the baby from the car seat. “Is it a boy or a girl?” he wondered. It was hard to tell by the clothing. The baby was in a white onesie with black pants and the blanket was white. Buck began checking the baby over including changing its very wet diaper.
“It’s a little girl. She doesn’t look to be more than maybe a day old,” Buck commented softly. He glanced sadly down at the tiny girl in his arms realizing this was a safe haven drop off.
“Where’s her mom?” Chris wondered. Buck sighed he wasn’t sure how to explain the situation to Chris.
“Well, she was left here by someone. It’s called a safe haven surrender,” Buck explained.
“What does that mean?” Chris wondered.
“It means that someone can drop a newborn baby off at a fire station, a church or hospital, no questions asked.” He started to go through the small diaper bag to see what the baby had with her. She had a couple of outfits a bottle with maybe a feeding of formula a couple of diapers and an envelope. Buck frowned at the envelope and opened it. He pulled out a note and began reading it.
“I can’t take care of her she was born yesterday, March 3 at 11:33 AM. Tell her I’m sorry and I love her, but I can’t be a mom.” The note didn’t have a signature. Sighing Buck wrapped the little girl back up and after making a small nest of blankets on the couch he placed her inside it careful to make sure she wouldn’t fall off.
“Can you watch her while I get a few things and make a phone call?” he asked turning to Chris.
“Yeah, I can read her a story,” the young boy offered.
“That would be great,” Buck commented as he headed to get the pack-n-play they kept at the station for Jee if Chim had to bring her to watch until Maddie could get her. Walking back to where the two of them were sitting Buck scooped up the newborn and placed her in the pack-n-play making sure she was swaddled in her blanket. Pulling out his phone he made the call to CPS to let them know of the abandoned baby girl.
A/n, this is my first 9-1-1 fic so I hope you enjoy. I know this has been done before, but I hope you like my spin on it. This fic was inspired by the Fic “Raise Her With Me” by JayJay__884 over on archive of our own. I encourage everyone to check it out.

Chapter Text
It had been about an hour since the baby had been dropped off. Buck had reached CPS but they told him it would most likely be several hours before they could get to him. They were busy and short staffed as usual. The sound of the trucks pulling back in announced the return of the rest of the crew. Quickly he jumped to his feet and headed for the apparatus floor not wanting their noise to wake the finally sleeping baby. She had woken up a little while ago and he struggled to get her back to sleep. Chris was sitting on the couch watching her sleep while reading his book.
XXXX
“Hey there, Buck, what’s the hurry?” Hen asked as she got out of the ambulance.
“There was a safe haven drop off and she’s sleeping. She just went down a little bit ago,” he explained. Nodding in understanding everyone made an effort to be quieter as they made their way back into the station.
“I’ll start on lunch unless you already have?” Bobby asked turning to Buck. The younger firefighter shook his head.
“How long has she been here?” Chim asked as he looked down at the sleeping baby.
“About an hour. It was actually Chris who found her,” he explained.
“You found her, Mijo?” Eddie questioned as he settled next to the young boy. Chris nodded distractedly his hair falling in his eyes. Eddie reached out and brushed it back.
“She was just there in her car seat and she was crying. She looked cold she was only wearing a onesie and pants and a light blanket,” Chris stated.
“What about the parents?” Ravi wondered.
“No one was with her. Mom left a note giving her date and time of birth and that was it. She said she was sorry but she couldn’t care for her,” Buck explained. “I called CPS but they are backed up as usual. It will probably be several hours before someone can come and get her.”
“She looks healthy, how old is she?” Hen questioned.
“She’s a day old she was born yesterday morning at 11:33. I checked her out and she looks good. I was about to start calling hospitals and seeing if they had any girls born that time yesterday so we can get any medical records they have. I know it will be only a short record, but any little bit helps.”
“That’s true, do you want help with calling the hospitals?” Eddie offered giving him a soft smile.
“Sure, that would be great. Thanks, Eds,” Buck commented dropping a quick kiss on top of Eddie’s head.
“You can use my office, I’ll call you when lunch is ready,” Bobby told them. Nodding the two of them headed for the captains office to start calling hospitals. Turning Back Eddie spoke.
“You doing okay, Chris?”
“Yeah, I’m fine. Can I play videogames with Ravi now?” he asked. Eddie nodded in ascent causing the young boy to whoop and smile broadly. Everyone laughed as the two of them grabbed game controllers, and began playing.

“I think I found her,” Eddie said sitting back in his chair as he disconnected the call. It had been the fourth hospital he tried. Buck looked up as he was about to call another one.
“You did?” he asked.
“A girl named Molly checked in yesterday morning around 2:00 at First Pres. She was in labor and safely and successfully delivered the baby at 11:33 yesterday morning. She didn’t give her a name, but the little one is healthy. She is seven pounds six ounces and 20 inches long. They’re faxing the medical records to CPS.”
“At least the birth and delivery weren’t complicated and she’s healthy,” Buck commented. Eddie nodded in agreement just as Bobby called everyone for lunch.
XXXXXXXXXX
“Were you able to find out where she was born?” Bobby asked as everyone settled in to eat. Nodding Eddie told them what he had learned.
“At least she’s healthy, did they say how old the mother was?” Chimney asked.
“She was 19 according to the birthday they were given,” Eddie answered.
“Just a child herself,” Hen stated. Everyone hummed in agreement. Just then the baby woke up crying. Buck started to stand but Eddie cut him off.
“You eat, you just sat down after helping Chris. I’ve got her,” he assured standing up and heading for the crying infant.
“She’s probably hungry,” Buck told him.
“Got it, she also needs a diaper change,” Eddie commented wrinkling his nose at the smell of the baby’s diaper.
“I’ll make the bottle since I’m done,” Hen offered grabbing the can of formula Buck had sitting on the counter and the bottle that was next to it.
“Thanks Hen,” Eddie replied as he finished cleaning her up and starting to put on the new diaper.
“Shh little one, I know you’re hungry. You’ll get your bottle in just a moment. Once she was diapered and dressed he bounced her in his arms waiting on Hen to bring him the bottle.
“This should be good,” the medic said as she tested the bottle on her wrist then handed it to Eddie. Nodding in thanks Eddie guided the nipple to the tiny mouth. The baby girl latched on immediately and began suckling greedily.
“Easy there, sweetheart. It’s not going anywhere,” Eddie soothed as he pulled the nipple out briefly before placing it back into her mouth. Buck’s heart did a flip seeing Eddie cradling a baby. They had started talking about expanding their family, but the discussions hadn’t gotten very far yet. When the baby was about halfway through the bottle Eddie pulled it out to burp her. She howled in protest not happy to have her lunch interrupted. Hen walked up to the pair and smiled.
“I can take over so you can finish before the alarm goes off.”
“Okay, sounds good. Here you go, sweetie. Here’s Hen, she’ll finish feeding you,” Eddie said softly as he transferred the little girl into Hen’s arms before heading back to the table to finish his food. Thankfully the alarm didn’t go off allowing everyone to finish and clean up.

“Can I hold her, please?” Chris asked as everyone was settled down after lunch.
“If you sit back and let me get a couple of pillows,” Buck answered. Chris nodded and settled back into the couch. Buck grabbed the pillows while Bobby who was holding the baby walked over and stood next to the couch. Buck showed Chris how he needed to hold his arms.
“Make sure to support her head,” Bobby cautioned as he placed her in Chris’s waiting arms. Buck reached out and slid a hand under Chris’s arm that was supporting the babies head.
“She’s so little and sweet,” Chris breathed.
“Yes she is. You were that little once,” his father commented.
“I was?” Chris asked clearly surprised.
“Smaller actually, you only weighed six pounds when you were born,” Eddie answered. Everyone smiled watching the young boy hold the newborn. Just then she yawned and her eyes fluttered shut.
“Let me take her and put her down,” Chimney suggested walking up to where Chris was sitting. Nodding reluctantly Chris let Chimney take the baby and put her down in the pack-N-Play so she could take a nap.
“What’s going to happen to her?” Chris wondered. “Since she doesn’t have anyone I mean?”
“Well first they will try and see if they can find any family, but that is probably unlikely. If they can’t find any family who wants to take her she’ll go into foster care and hopefully get adopted,” Bobby explained.
“If she needs to be fostered and adopted, can we take her, Dad, Buck? Please?” Chris begged turning to the two men with puppy dog eyes. Both men turned to each other having a silent conversation. We want to expand our family. This could be the child we’ve been hoping for. Chris is okay with it which is important.
“It’s not that simple Superman. There would be a lot of red tape and paperwork, but if we can, then yes, we would definitely consider it,” Buck replied. Chris let out a cheer accidentally waking the baby.
“Oh no, sorry! I didn’t mean to wake her,” he said his eyes filling with tears. Buck pulled him in for a hug while Eddie scooped up the infant and rocked her back to sleep.
“It’s okay kiddo, it was an accident,” Buck assured him with a smile. Just then a woman with short brown hair came walking into the station.

“I’m Morgan Lewiston, I’m looking for an Evan Buckley?”
“That would be me,” Buck said rising to his feet and holding out a hand. Reaching out, Morgan shook it firmly smiling at him.
“You have a safe haven surrender is that correct?” she confirmed. Buck nodded gesturing at the sleeping baby.
“Unfortunately mom didn’t stick around long enough to fill out the forms so we don’t have any information regarding her medical history accept what the hospital faxed over to you guys.
“The little bit the hospital sent to us was enough for me to figure out that the mother was in the system herself and aged out last year. There is unfortunately no other family to take this little one so she will be going into the system. She has a good chance for adoption hopefully since she is a newborn. I’m having trouble finding a placement for her, though. Buck and Eddie shared a glance.
“We would like to take her. It would be our goal to foster her with the eventual plan to adopt her,” Eddie declared.
“Are you currently licensed foster parents?” Morgan inquired.
“We have one more class to go but that will be completed by the end of next week,” Buck replied.
“We already have a child,” Eddie said pointing to Christopher sitting quietly on the couch. “He’s mine from a previous relationship and Evan and I have been together for a little over a year now,” Eddie explained.
“While you are both firefighters and I’m sure upstanding citizens I unfortunately can’t place the baby with you until you’ve finished the last class and received your license. I know the class should be over by the end of next week, but the license takes another week after that to be received,” she explained. Hen saw Buck’s crestfallen look and felt her heart go out to him.
“My wife and I are licensed foster parents, and we are equipped to take a baby right now. We keep some items for various ages around in case we get a placement. If it’s okay with my wife and our son, could we take her until Buck, uh I mean Evan and Eddie have completed their class and got their license?” Hen wondered.
“And you are?” Morgan asked.
“Henrietta Wilson, but everyone calls me Hen.” “Diedra Smith is our case worker. Feel free to talk to her.”
“Okay, let me call her and if she says you two check out then you can call your wife…” she paused not knowing a name.
“Karen,” Hen supplied.
“Karen and talk it over with her.” Nodding Hen smiled.
“Feel free to use my office to call her, Bobby offered.” Nodding in thanks, Morgan made her way to where Bobby pointed and closed the door.
XXXX
“Thank you for even offering to do this, Hen,” Eddie said smiling at her.
“No thanks necessary.”
“Are you sure Karen will be okay with this?” Buck checked.
“You know how she is with babies. Yall will have to fight to get her back,” Hen laughed. The others laughed they knew how true Hen’s statement was. Five minutes later Morgan walked out with a smile on her face.
“Diedra spoke very highly of both of you and your son. As long as your wife is in agreement I would be happy to temporarily place the baby with you.”
“Okay, I’ll go call her and check, but I’m sure she will agree,” Hen said making her way downstairs to the bunks for a bit of privacy.
“She didn’t give her a name, is that something we could do?” Eddie wondered.
“I don’t see why not. Just the first and middle name for now. She will have her mother’s last name until she is legally adopted. Then her last name can be changed.
“What’s her mom’s last name?” Buck asked.
“Nichols,” Morgan answered. Eddie and Buck glanced at each other they had agreed on the name they would give a daughter if they were blessed to have one.
“Leanne Athena Nichols,” Buck said with finality. A gasp came from the top of the stairs causing everyone to turn. There stood Athena a shocked look on her face and tears in her eyes.
“You’re naming her after me?” Athena asked in surprise.
Yes we are, it was the name we had picked out if we were ever to have a girl,” Buck explained as he walked over and pulled her into a hug.
“Wait a minute, you’re taking this sweet baby home?” she asked walking over to the pack-n-play where the baby had just woken up and was staring up at her.
“Well, once we get our foster parents license we are going to foster her with the plan to adopt her,” Eddie informed the sergeant.
“That’s wonderful, congratulations,” Athena said. “What a precious little thing she cooed scooping up the newborn and cradling her against her chest.
“What brings you here, Athena?” Chimney asked.
“It was time for me to take a break and I heard from Bobby that you had a safe haven drop off and wanted to come by and check on things. Plus I wanted to see one of my favorite boys,” she said giving Chris a hug. Chris smiled and returned the hug. “So tell me the plan for Leanne while you’re finishing your foster parent class and waiting on your license?” she asked turning to Eddie and Buck.
“Hen and Karen might be fostering her until we finish our class and get our license,” Buck explained.
“No might be about it, Karen agreed instantly. Nearly blew my eardrum out from how loud she screamed,” Hen chuckled rubbing her ear.
“That’s wonderful. I have some paperwork for the two of you to sign. I can have you sign it then run it by your wife and I will have to see the house before I can release her into your care,” Morgan said.
“Karen is working from home today and she is setting up the room right now. You can go right now if you would like? Here’s the address,” Hen said grabbing a piece of paper and jotting down their address.
“That sounds perfect. Normally I would take her with me but she seems quite comfortable here. She would be taken in and out of the car a lot between my stops at your house and the office. Could I pick her up after I do the home visit at Hen and Karen’s house?” she asked the group at large.
“That would be fine, there is always someone who is man behind and today that is Buck since Christopher is here due to flooding at his school,” Bobby informed her.
“Okay, then I’ll be back in a couple of hours to get her.” Turning to Hen, she asked.
“Do you have a suitable car seat or do I need to bring one from the office?”
“We have one with the stroller that can go in and out of the car and we have one that is a convertible one that can stay in the car. Does it matter which one? I don’t think it did before, but I know that rules can sometimes change,” Hen said.
“Either one is fine. I found the infant seats easiest when they are this young but as long as you get a good fit in the convertible one you can use that one as well. I’ll make sure to bring one of them back with me so we can get her used to the ones you already have.” Hen nodded in understanding. “Okay then, I’ll be back to get her in a couple of hours, everyone have a good day,” Morgan said as she walked down the stairs and headed out into the late afternoon sunshine.
XXXX
“So I heard the last part of ‘Thena’s statement about naming her after her, what is her full name?” Hen asked as she gave the sergeant a hug.
“Leanne Athena Nichols. That was her mom’s last name. Once we adopt her it will be changed to
Buckley-Diaz,” Eddie explained.
“No, it won’t,” Buck argued.
“What do you mean it won’t?” Chim asked in confusion. Everyone else turned to Buck in confusion and Eddie had a look of hurt on his face. Taking a deep breath Buck opened his mouth to explain.
“Her name will be Leanne Athena Diaz. Just like Eddie, Chris, and hopefully me,” he said softly. Hen and Athena gasped as they began to figure out what was happening. Reaching into his pocket, Buck pulled out a velvet box before walking to where Eddie and Chris were sitting on the couch. Dropping to one knee he turned to Chris.
“Chris I was going to ask you this on our trip to the aquarium we were going to take while your dad helped your Abuela clean up her yard this weekend, but can I adopt you and become your dad officially and can I marry your dad?” Chris’s eyes widened and a huge smile crossed his face.
You’re already my dad in all the ways that count, but adopting me would make it official, right?” he checked. Buck nodded. “Then yes to both! I love you so much, Bucky! I can’t wait to be able to call you Pops just like you call Bobby,” the young boy declared as he launched himself at Buck throwing his arms around him. Both Buck and Bobby had tears in their eyes. In reality there wasn’t a dry eye in the firehouse.
“You don’t have to wait to call me that kiddo. You can start now,” Buck told him. “As long as all of this is okay with your dad?” he asked turning nervously to Eddie.
“It’s more than okay,” Eddie said through tears as he smiled.
“Okay then, love you, Pops,” Chris said.
“Love you to, Superman,” Buck said as he returned Chris’s hug.
“So then are you going to ask him now?” Chris asked impatiently. Buck laughed as he turned to Eddie.
“Eds, you’ve been my lifeline for longer than I can remember. From the first day we met when you literally held my life in your hands with that live grenade call to when you helped lift the fire truck off me to so many things in-between. I wouldn’t be where I am right now without you. Will you do me the honor of becoming your husband? Eddie will you marry me…?” At that moment the universe decided they had been in the station long enough and the alarm sounded. Everyone was frozen in place waiting on Eddie’s answer.
“Yes! I’ll marry you!” Eddie cried quickly kissing Buck then jumping to his feet and running for the stairs everyone else right behind him calling out congratulations as they ran.

Chapter Text
Karen smiled down at the baby girl in her arms. Leanne was finishing up her bottle and fighting sleep. She couldn’t believe that they would have to hand her over to Buck and Eddie in two days. Don’t get her wrong, she was happy for her friends, but she had fallen in love with the precious newborn in her arms. The guys had finished their foster parent classes the day before and the home study was set for tomorrow. That would mean that Leanne would be able to be home with her dads and big brother by Friday. Taking the bottle from the baby girls mouth Karen brought her up to her shoulder to burp her. After a moment she let out a good solid burp.
“Wow, that was definitely a big one,” Hen commented as she walked into the living room. “Morning, sweetheart,” she said as she walked over and kissed Karen. Gently she reached out and ran her hand down the babies back.
“Morning, Hen, are you ready for work?” Hen nodded as she glanced at her watch.
“I need to get going so I won’t be late. Denny’s just finishing up brushing his teeth. I’ll see you in the morning. I’m so glad this is the last day of work before our 48 off.” Karen nodded in agreement. Just then Denny came into the room.
“Hey mom’s, I’m ready for school.”
“Okay, grab your backpack then get into the car I’m right behind you,” Karen told her son.
“Bye Denny, love you,” Hen said as she reached out and pulled him into a hug.
“Bye Mama, be safe, see you tomorrow,” he said grabbing his backpack and heading into the garage. Giving each other one more smile, the two women followed after their son to get their days started.
XXXX
Buck yawned and sat up as he heard the front door close. Glancing at the clock he jumped up and ran to the living room.
“Eds! It’s already 8:45, why did you let me sleep so late?” The A-shift had only worked a 12 hour shift last night which meant they had gotten home with plenty of time to spend time with Chris before bedtime. He vaguely remembered Eddie telling him he was taking Chris to school this morning, but apparently he had fallen back to sleep.
“You looked so tired that I didn’t have the heart to wake you,” Eddie explained kissing the other man. “What’s the big deal anyway?”
“What’s the big deal? We have exactly two hours and 15 minutes before the home study and this place needs cleaning,” Buck declared. He had began running around picking things up then putting them back down. After a couple of minutes of this frantic behavior, Eddie stepped in front of his fiancé, stopping his progress.
“Buck take a breath, sweetheart.” Buck drug in a short breath. “Again…” Eddie prompted. Buck repeated the action. Eddie had him do it a few more times before it appeared he was calming down slightly. “The house is clean, we’ve got nothing to worry about.”
“What about the Legos on the dining room table and the books on the floor by the couch?”
“You mean the things that show we have a child and that our house is lived in?” Eddie teased. Buck bit his lip nervously. Eddie reached out and pulled him into his arms and placed a kiss on his lips. “Pepa and Abuela came over and cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday,” Eddie revealed.
“They did? Please tell me you didn’t ask them to?” Buck checked. Eddie shook his head.
“Nope, they insisted on it. They also made some meals and put them in the freezer. That way we won’t have to cook when we’re getting used to having a newborn in the house.”
“Have I told you I love your aunt and grandmother?” Buck commented.
“Yeah, and they know it. So see, there’s nothing to worry about. Why don’t we have breakfast then find something mindless to watch on TV until Morgan gets here?” Eddie suggested. Buck nodded and headed for the kitchen to make them some food, grateful Eddie had talked him off the ledge.
XXXX
“Everything looks good. I can confidently say that you are ready for Leanne to come home,” their social worker Morgan Lewiston stated as she closed the folder in her hand. Both guys let out the breath they had been holding. Obviously they knew that their house was ready for their baby girl, but they were both nervous about being told that something was wrong.
“So that means she is coming home tomorrow?” Buck questioned.
“Yes that’s correct, I will bring her here around 9:00 tomorrow morning,” Morgan explained. Buck and Eddie smiled.
“I can’t wait, it’s been nice to see her when we go to Hen and Karen’s but knowing she’ll finally be home is the best news ever,” Buck stated. Eddie nodded in agreement.
“The only question I still have is what did you guys work out in terms of paternity leave?” the social worker wondered.
“Bobby was able to get us both a month off then Buck decided he wants to take off another month while I go back to work,” Eddie explained. Morgan nodded as she jotted down a note.
“Very good well, that’s all I have. I will see you both tomorrow with your little girl in tow,” she said shaking both their hands and letting herself out. Once the door closed Buck grabbed Eddie and pulled him into his arms.
“She’s coming home! Our baby girls coming home, Eds.”
“Yes she is and I can’t wait,” Eddie replied a huge smile taking over his face.
Notes:
Sorry for the shortness but this seemed like a logical stopping point.
