THE ADVENTURES OF MS. BNUUY

Summary:

Reisen has a nice little blue bunny in her room, and Tewi decided to get rid of it without asking her.

Chapter Text

It was a quiet morning. The sun rose up, shining it's light, casting hundreds of shadows on the thousands more bamboo that covered a good amount of the land of Gensokyo. The bamboo forest of the Lost was a place so thick and massive, navigation is almost entirely impossible without the right knowledge or equipment. Trying to move in blindly would result in one becoming lost before they know it, with their left becoming their right, north becoming south, east turning to west, and going around in circles upon circles for eternity...

Deep within this forest lies a mansion, surrounded by a large population of Earth Rabbits. Many of them were hanging out or lazing about, while others were busy working because they rather not get caught slacking just yet. There were some eating and chowing on mochi and snacks, finding delight in its sweetness. They would have their own circles with their designated friends. Despite most of them looking exactly the same, there were slight differences the average individual would not be able to detect.

Inside the mansion known as Eientei, there were hallways that stretched to beyond one's sight, one's vision, one's reach. There were rooms both empty and full, rooms with purpose, others without. One such room, belonged to one very important member of the residence. That being Reisen Udongein Inaba

The room didn't have too much inside, maintaining plenty of room and space to walk around. There was a desk on one wall, holding a few books, a journal, and a few picture frames, each one holding a different memory. One frame held a picture with what looks like the other residents alongside Reisen, all smiling fondly. There was another frame, with a picture of one white haired girl sitting beside Reisen while making funny faces. The last frame had a picture of Reisen, wearing a military outfit, alongside a blue haired girl and another person, but that person's face has been obscured from the image due to a burn mark.

There was also a bed on the other side of the room, a small bed yet still comfy enough to sleep on. A lump rose up and down slowly, with soft breathing coming from within. A pair of rabbit ears poked out of the sheets, and also a bare foot. The sun's light breached inside the room through an open window, yet it wasn't enough to wake the rabbit. An alarm next to the bed ticked slowly, nearing its next hour bit by bit.

The door to this room opened slowly, a pair of sock-wearing feet tip-toed slowly. A shadowy figure arrived by the bed, a sinister smile stretched across their face. They moved their small hands down to the foot, pulling out a black feather from out of nowhere. They got to their knees, snickering while holding back a laugh. They brushed the foot a little, seeing the response that would be given.

"mmm..." A muffle came out from the sheets. The foot twitched, but remained in the same spot. The figure forsaken the feather, instead pulling out what looks to be an electric hand buzzer. They readied themselves for a moment, before grabbing the foot as a buzzing noise could be heard from the item.

"EEEYAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" Reisen yelled, jumping out of her sheets as she quickly grabbed her foot, shooken up. She looked over to see a laughing Tewi, rolling on her back in a hysterical fashion.

"Hahahahaha!!! I knew this thing I got from Kourindou's would be worth the money!" Tewi said, still laughing.

"T...Tewi!!!" Reisen said, getting back on her feet to try and chase after the other rabbit. She got up too quickly, and slipped on her cover down into a bowl of whipped cream. She raised her head out of it, covered in the white cream.

"Hey, I was just about to do that to you, but you did it for me." Tewi said. "Anyways I'm going to go now." She said, about to leave.

"...Oh no you don't." Reisen said as she managed to get up on her feet. She jumped on Tewi, pulling her to the ground. "You don't get to mess with me and not get something in return!" She said, removing one of the rabbit's socks and tickling it.

"Ack! No! Hahaha! Stop it! Hahaha!!! I'm sensitive there!" Tewi said, trying to break free from the moon rabbit's hold on her.

"C'mon. Say uncle Tewi. Say it." Reisen said.

"N-Never!!!" Tewi said, struggling to not laugh." I-I-I'll never say that word!!!"

"Then I'll pin you down until you do!!!" Reisen said, removing the other sock and tickling that foot also.

"AAAAAhahahhahahaha!!! Nooooo!!! Someone save meheheee~" Tewi said, laughing while banging the floor with her fists.

Reisen continued to mess with Tewi, keeping her pinned on the ground so she wouldn't be able to go anywhere. This went on for a while longer, until something else happened.

"Ahem... Udonge." A stern voice said.

Reisen looked up, seeing the cold face of her master, wearing her usual red/blue outfit. She was already ready up and early in the morning, while Reisen was still in her pajamas. "What are you doing?" Eirin asked Reisen.

"...Um...I was... Getting payback for what Tewi did." Reisen said, getting up and bowing in a apologetic manner. "I'm sorry Master, I'll get ready for work today."

"Good. I have several orders I need you to take care of at the village. Also make sure to be back before evening, we have a special visitor coming from the moon tonight and I need you to help make dinner." Eirin said. "Before however I need you to go wake up the princess, I worry she stayed up again reading as usual."

"Yes, right away." Reisen said, leaving the room quickly while Eirin left after. Tewi was left alone, catching her breath from all the tickling that Reisen ensued on her.

"Damn it... She knows how sensitive my feet are to tickling." Tewi said. "...I should get back at her later. Maybe I can spike tonight's dinner with a spicy pepper. Or maybe take her shirts and dye them pink." She said, getting off the ground and looking. "Or maybe I can see what she had written in her journal, probably about how much she luvs the gardener. I can maybe sell that information to Aya and-"

Tewi looked back at the bed, noticing something that peeked out of the covers. It was a blue set of rabbit ears.

"...Huh...What do we have here?" Tewi said, walking over to the bed. She flipped the sheets out of the way, revealing a medium-sized blue stuffed rabbit. It was wearing a nice dark blazer, and was missing one of its eyes. It looks to be worn-down, not having as much fluff as a newer one would have. One of the ears looked like it was chewed a little even.

Tewi held the rabbit up, letting the light of the sun cast a shadow over Tewi. She observed it a bit longer before a wicked sinister look replaced the once curious one she had a few seconds before.

"hehehe... Well who knew Reisen was still sleeping with stuffed animals. Isn't she a little old for someone like you?" Tewi said to the stuffed rabbit. "Hm...Well then... Maybe I should give you away, what do you think? Don't you agree?" Tewi said. She shook the rabbit to make it nod yes to Tewi.

"Ah, yes, I'm glad you agree." Tewi said.

---

Much later in the day, Reisen got back home after a long day of delivering medicines and other necessities. It was hotter than usual, so her face was covered in sweat, even with the hat she wore blocking the sun. She arrived back at Eientei, removing the hat as her ears flopped back upward.

"I'm home..." She said in a tired voice. "Sorry it took a bit longer than usual."

"Ah, you're here. Good." Eirin said. "Can you get dressed and then go work on tonight's dinner before our guest arrives?"

"Yes master." Reisen said, trudging along the floor with her feet as she made her way down the hall to where her room is located. Along the way, she noticed Tewi smiling while humming, walking the opposite direction.

"You seem to be in a good mood." Reisen said to Tewi.

"Yep! I made some good cash today!" Tewi said, holding a decent amount of money in her hand. "I was thinking of getting some dango later. You wanna come with?"

"Um... I have to make dinner." Reisen said.

"Aw, oh well." Tewi said. "Maybe tomorrow, it's your day off tomorrow right?"

"Yeah. I guess we can get dango tomorrow."

"Okay then, see ya at the dinner table!" Tewi said, leaving as Reisen made her way to her room.

She opened the door, walking inside. She quickly went and changed into her usual attire of a shirt and skirt, taking a comb as she brushes her hair a little so it looks nicer. She observed the room, laying her eyes on her bed.

"...Wait...Something's not right." Reisen said, placing the brush down and walked over to the sheets, noticing there was a distinct lack of a certain lump that she always recognizes. She got down to her knees, pulling the covers to reveal the mattress, and nothing else.

"...Wait... Wait wait... Wait wait wait..." Reisen said, removing the covers, looking over the mattress of her bed and underneath it. "Wait where is it... Where is it!?" She said.

Reisen checked the corners of the room and the desk, but saw nothing else. There wasn't much else to check in her room since it was so empty. She stood in the center, looking and even using her eyes to scan the area a little. But could not find what she was looking for. "Where is it!?!? Where is it!?!?" She shouted.

She bolted out of her room, heading into the other room next to her. Inside a pair of rabbits were inside the room, both reading some books when Reisen suddenly barged in. "Where is it!!!!????" Reisen shouted, startling the other rabbits.

---

"Ah, Sagume, it's nice for you to come down here to visit." Eirin said to the one winged angel.

"...Yes..." Sagume said quietly. She walked inside with a gentle aura emanating from her. Eirin closed the door behind them, walking down the hall a bit while chatting.

"How have Yorihime and Toyohime been? Are they doing their duties like usual?" Eirin asked.

"...Yes..." Sagume said quietly.

"Ah, good. I haven't seen them in a while, they don't come to visit that much these days. I suppose it is hard when you are in charge of the Lunar Defense Corps."

"...Yes. Like so." Sagume said quietly.

"Have you had any trouble with Junko lately? Udonge told me that Junko promised not to attack the moon a few incidents ago, so I'm checking to see if she's still upholding that promise."

"...No..." Sagume said, quiet as always. "...Dinner?"

"Oh yes. Tonight's dinner should be done in a bit. Udonge should be just about done by now... Well she should be, I haven't checked." Eirin said, laughing a little. The two made their way to the dining table, where Kaguya was already sitting down.

"Oh, Eirin. And Sagume too, it's nice to see you again." Kaguya said.

"...A pleasure..." Sagume said.

"Princess, do you know how the dinner is coming along?" Eirin asked.

"Hm... Nope!" Kaguya said. "I haven't even seen Inaba walk to the kitchen at all yet."

"...What?" Eirin asked with a surprised tone. "What do you mean? I asked her to get dinner ready as soon she got home..."

"...Problem?" Sagume asked, looking at Eirin with her usual quiet tone.

"Oh, there's no problem Sagume. Just give me a moment to locate my assistant." Eirin said. "Please, sit down if you like."

"...Okay..." Sagume said, moving to sit down while Eirin walked quickly down the hall once again. She made a few turns before reaching the area close to where Reisen sleeps. She notices a bunch of rabbits all standing out the hallway. Some were confused, others were annoyed, and a few were sleepy.

"What is going on out here? Why is everyone out in the hall?" Eirin asked, getting the rabbits attention.

"Ah, Eirin Eirin!" One rabbit said. "Reisen's acting nuts!"

"Nuts nuts!" Another rabbit said. "She's going to our rooms and throwing everything all over!"

"Over and over!!!" Yet another rabbit said. "She keeps asking where the thing is! But we don't know what thing she speaks of!"

"Thing?" Eirin asked, she let out a sigh, pinching her nose with a sense of agitation in her throat. "...Ugh, Udonge... Whatever excuse you can come up with it better be worth the punishment I already have planned for you!"

She marched down the hall, passing by the rabbits. She walked past the open rooms, seeing all of the rabbit's items and furniture displaced and messy. It was like a tornado passed by each of them individually.

Eventually she reached the last room where one rabbit was thrown out, landing on her back. She flipped whoever was inside the room and walked off just as a entire chair was thrown out also. Eirin felt that such behavior was rash, rude, and outright inappropriate for what she had planned today with Sagume. She walked over, standing by the door as she shouted.

"UDONGE!!! YOU BETTER-"

Eirin stopped, seeing the glowing light coming from the eyes of the messy haired rabbit. She was panting at a rapid rate, her shirt wrinkled, and a stance that wasn't upright. Reisen looked over, turning her head first, then her body, finally standing straight, but her head tilted.

"You... You saw it right? You know where she is right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right?" Reisen asked repeatedly.

"...U...Udonge are you alright?" Eirin asked, her rage now replaced with worry. "You sound like you're hyperventilating."

"Me? No. No no... I'm fine. Sorry for worrying you. You need me to go make dinner right? I'll go do that after I check all of Eientei first for her." Reisen said.

"...What are you-"

"Hey, does the princess have it by chance? I know she likes to take some of my things sometimes. She probably saw her and thought she was cute. Maybe I should ransack her entire room just in case." Reisen said.

"...Udonge. You're clearly not okay." Eirin said, taking a step inside the room. She noticed that Reisen had her weapon on her at the moment.

"Wait, I know! Maybe it was Tewi!!! Yeah! She loves to mess with me! Yeah! I'll go mess up her room after this!" Reisen said, waving the gun around with her finger on the trigger. "Maybe I'll even go prank her by lacing her pillow with a deadly poison, a nice way of getting back at her don't you think Eirin?" Reisen said.

"...Udonge... Your mind isn't right. C'mon, I'll take you to my office so we can get you some medicine." Eirin said. She took another step, only to notice Reisen pointing her gun at Eirin.

"You know Eirin?" Reisen said, holding the gun. "You're acting too calm about this. Waaaaay too calm... I bet you were the one who took her. Maybe you were lonely and wanted a companion to sleep with I don't know. You could've just asked... I would understand... But now I see that you don't want to ask, you want to take. You want to take away the things that matter to me the most... And y'know what? Fine. I can understand that... Now hold still so I can blast your brains out and search your room later." Reisen said in a threatening tone.

"Udonge... Please..." Eirin said, trying to be careful around the clearly not okay rabbit. "Just... Let me take you to my office."

"...How about no?" Reisen said, pulling the trigger.

The blast nearly hit Eirin, as she dodged to the right and quickly tackled Reisen, intending to pin her down. However, she noticed that the moon rabbit was keeping her footing, even matching Eirin's strength.

"LET GO OF ME YOU CRAZY LUNARIAN!!! AND GIVE ME BACK MS. BUNNY!!!" Reisen shouted, using her strength to push Eirin back. The two end up in a struggle, before Eirin manages to throw Reisen down to the wall, pulling out a syringe from her dress and walking over to inject Reisen with it. However, the mad rabbit screamed, pushing Eirin back on the ground as her eyes glowed brightly.

Reisen screamed, trying to inflict her madness into Eirin's eyes. But soon after, the glowing stopped, Reisen crashed to the ground with the syringe jammed in her arm. Eirin pushed Reisen off of her, checking her pulse to make sure she was still okay.

"...God dammit... Udonge what happened to you?" Eirin asked.

"Woah... What happened here?" Tewi asked, looking from the door of the room. She stared at Eirin and the passed out Reisen.

"...Tewi... Did you take anything from Udonge by chance?" Eirin asked Tewi.

"...Well there was this stuffed rabbit I found in her room." Tewi said. "It was worn out so I got rid of it."

"...Tewi... You did WHAT!?" Eirin shouted.

Chapter 2

Summary:

Several Decades Ago...

Chapter Text

It was quiet, still, peaceful, pure. Eientei was always pure, no matter how much time passes. It didn't have a mark, a speck of dust on it's walls. It's plants never grew or age, always staying the exact same. The windows never needed to be cleaned of marks, nor did the floor ever needed to be replaced. This was thanks to the Hourai Princess's power. The power of eternity.

Back then, this power was constantly used, in order to conceal the mansion while maintaining its constant form. The rabbits never needed to worry about food becoming stale, the residents never had to worry about things breaking, all was peaceful.

Kaguya was resting down out by the porch, admiring the sight of fireflies while enjoying a relaxing herb tea. She took a sip of it, appreciating it's flavor and calming sensation. She smiled, looking up at the stars, being able to depict certain constellations that stood out.

"Let's see... I believe that one over there is Virgo..." Kaguya pointed out using her hand pointing up at the sky. "...That one over there... I think that's Perseus... And that one... Must be-"

The sound of a door opening interrupted Kaguya's thought process, as she turned around. "Oh, Eirin..." Kaguya said with a happy tone, but a more surprised face when she looked at the bandages that were on Eirin's face and neck. "...What happened?"

"...Sigh..." Eirin didn't say anything, instead walked over to the princess, sitting down next to her. "I don't want to talk about it."

"...Did it happen again?" Kaguya asked, her tone becoming that of concern.

"...She's been though a lot, that I can say for certain... To think the lunarians were so desperate they send a child soldier out to war." Eirin said.

"...What did you try and do?'

"I just tried to give her a shot to boost her immune system, since it's likely her body wouldn't be used to the atmosphere of Earth's compared to the moon. Then she proceeded to claw my face because she thought I was going to drug her." Eirin said. 'Look, she was this close to gouging my eye out." She pointed to a cut that was close to her eye. Kaguya looked with interest.

"Huh, she went for the eyes. Clever." Kaguya said. "But I am worried that she won't get used to us, or living here. I don't even know why she doesn't live somewhere else if that's the case."

"Probably because she's worried no one else would accept her."

"What do you plan on doing then?"

"...I don't know." Eirin said, leaning forward, placing her hand on her chin. "I'm not used to dealing with children, unlike you."

"...Would you prefer I talk to her?" Kaguya suggested.

"Are you sure?" Eirin looked with a bit of astonish. "I'm worried she'll attack you too."

"Relax, if I can handle a dozen crying baby rabbits, I'm certain one from the moon won't give me trouble." Kaguya said without sense of worry.

"Very well then." Eirin said after giving thought to the Princess's words.

Kaguya got up, and went back inside, down the hall, arriving at the unmarked room of the person who sleeps there. She gave a knock first, waiting for some kind of response.

"...Inaba? Are you awake?" Kaguya asked.

"Go away." Reisen spoke from inside.

"...It's me, Kaguya. May I come in?" Kaguya asked.

"..."

"Alright, I'm coming in now."

Kaguya entered through the door, revealing a simple room, with only a singular bed by the other side of the room. A younger version of Reisen sat there, her hair a bit shorter and wearing a traditional LDC Military outfit, still worn from battle. She was curled up in a ball, her knees up to her chest while hugging her self with her arms. Her ears dropped down to the sides of her head, her eyes baggy and tired.

Kaguya walked over slowly, moving to the opposite side of the bed where Reisen was, sitting down much to the dismay of the moon rabbit. She expressed a sense of panic, before calming down soon after. Kaguya didn't say anything, but only smiled gently.

"...How are you feeling Inaba?" Kaguya asked.

"..." Reisen didn't say anything, just stared at Kaguya with eyes that glowed slightly. Kaguya could tell that she was scanning her, as if she was trying to detect some form of threat.

"...You've been here for a few weeks now... Isn't it time you change into something cleaner?" Kaguya asked.

"...I-I'm fine..." Reisen said in a shaky tone. "I-I don't n-need any o-other clothes."

"...Are you sure? I believe I have something in my closet that would fit you."

"I-I'm good."

"...Really now. You don't need to act so timid around me. You're like a newborn, who just saw the light for the first time." Kaguya said.

"Please. I just want to be alone now." Reisen said.

"...Oh alright..." Kaguya said, standing up from the bed, walking away. "I'll be going now... So long Inaba... Bye bye..." She said, purposefully taking her time leaving.

Reisen only stared at Kaguya, as she staled for time before she suddenly vanished. Reisen blinked, not expecting her to just-

"Inaba." Kaguya said from the other side of the room, behind Reisen.

"AAAAHH!!!" Reisen screamed, jumping from the other side as she pulled out a rabbit eared gun from under the bed, pointing it at Kaguya.

Kaguya didn't flinch, instead keeping her composed smile as she held something behind her. "I got you something." She said.

Reisen sees Kaguya move her arms, revealing what looks like a blue stuffed rabbit. It looked to be in perfect condition, looking like it was just made not too long ago. Reisen wasn't expecting that, as she lowered her gun.

Kaguya smiled more when she noticed that her method was working now, as Reisen was now listening and paying attention. She walked forward slowly, trying not to startle the purple haired rabbit as she kneeled down to Reisen's level. She presented the blue rabbit, holding both it's arms.

"Hi, I'm Ms. Bunny." Kaguya said in a fake voice. "I was created with fabric, effort, and plenty of love. Do you want to be friends?" Kaguya moved one of the arms as if it was holding out its hand.

Reisen looked at the rabbit, dropping the gun by her side. She took that free hand, reaching carefully to the blue rabbit, and pulling it away from Kaguya. She inspected it, using her eyes to scan it, before realizing it was just a normal stuffed rabbit. She pulled it close, hugging it tightly.

"...Hi... Ms. Bunny..." Reisen said, her voice quickly becoming weak. "...I'll be your friend... I love h-having friends... I-I-I am glad to meet you." She said, tears rolling down her cheeks while she hugged the rabbit. She began to sob, reaching over and pulling Kaguya in for a hug, surprising even the eternal princess.

Eirin, who was standing outside the room, peeking with uncertainty, was amazed at how Kaguya managed to calm down a traumatized soldier of the lunar capital... with a stuffed animal. She smiled, knowing she didn't have to intervene.

"Honestly Princess..." Eirin said to herself. "I don't know what it is with you and rabbits, but you always know what to say and do."

---

Reisen opened her eyes, staring up at the light of the white ceiling. She quickly raises her head, looking around to find herself in a hospital room of Eientei. She looked around, before checking to see if she had any injuries on her. But she couldn't find anything. She hopped out of the bed, getting up noticing she was full of energy.

"Master? Are you here?" Reisen asked. "...Strange... Why would I be in one of the hospital rooms?" She asked. "Let's see... Yesterday I woke up, made breakfast, delivered medicine, then I came home all tired and sweaty... Then I went to my room and-"

Reisen's ears shot upward, her eyes widening when she remembered what happened. "I still need to find her!!!" Reisen said. She was about to bolt out of the room, down the hall, only to be stopped by Eirin who walked in front of her.

"Ah! M-Master!!!" Reisen said, stopping on her feet.

"Ah, you're awake. Good. I was about to check on you." Eirin said in a calm tone.

"H-Have you seen Ms. Bunny!? I checked my room but I couldn't find her anywhere!!!" Reisen said. "Please! I need to know if-"

"Yes yes. I know Udonge. Do you not remember what you did to me the other day?"

"...Oh..." Reisen said, realizing why she was in the hospital room. "...I-I'm so sorry Master... I didn't mean to act that way, nor did I intend on harming you or the other rabbits." She said with a bow.

"...Sigh... Well thankfully, we know who the perpetrator was. C'mon, she's in the other room." Eirin said, guiding Reisen down the hall a bit before entering a different room.

There, the sight of Tewi, strapped to a giant wooden circle, while being spun around was seen. She had her mouth taped and Kaguya was throwing darts at the poor Earth Rabbit. "C'mon... Let's aim for a bullseye..." Kaguya said, trying to focus.

Tewi screamed through the tape, moving her limbs to try and break free as another dart almost hits one of her ears. "Ah...So close!" Kaguya said. "Well 70th times the charm then." Kaguya said, grabbing yet another dart from the dart bucket.

"Princess, do you mind?" Eirin asked.

"Aw... Already?" Kaguya said. "I'm trying to beat my high score." She said with disappointment in her voice.

Reisen looked over at Tewi, who was surrounded by several missed darts as the wheel stopped spinning. She walked over, removing the tape, and then her binds one by one. Tewi then fell to the ground, getting up by Reisen's hand.

"Ah, thank you for that... I didn't think-"

"Where is she..." Reisen said.

"...Huh?"

"Where... Is... Ms. Bunny?" Reisen asked with vicious intimidation.

"...Oh... A-about that..." Tewi said. "Um... First of all...Sorry? I'll get you another one?" Tewi said with a smile.

Reisen looked down at Tewi, intending on slapping her. Which of course, she did. She gave her a good slap across the face, spinning Tewi around before grabbing her by the shoulders.

"Ms. Bunny is NOT someone you can replace!!! What did you do!?!?" Reisen shouted.

"I-I just took it to Kourindous after you left!!! I sold it! I swear that's all I did!!!" Tewi said. "They're probably still there anyways, you can just buy it back!"

"...Oh? Is that all?" Reisen said with a passive aggressive voice. "Then you don't mind tagging along now do you?"

"...Um... Well I love to but I have a few errands to run, and I also need to check on the other rabbits. Y'know, make sure they're doing their job and all." Tewi said, sweat pouring down her face.

"Oh no. I think Udonge's right." Eirin said. "This would be a good time for you both to spend sometime together. Wouldn't you agree Princess?"

"Why yes Eirin. Inaba would love to go out on a daytrip." Kaguya said. The two smiled at Tewi with glints in their eyes, both of them laughing wickedly, while Tewi was stared down by the 3 people in the room.

She gulped, knowing she cannot get out of this one.

---

Kourindou's was a store located somewhere in the forest of magic, close to the barrier that separated gensokyo from the outside world. It was a quiet place, not much for social interactions or the like.

"...WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DON'T HAVE IT!!!???" Reisen shouted inside the store, slamming her hands on the counter in front of Rinnosuke, who raised his hands in defense. "Wasn't it sold to you the other day!?"

"I-I apologize, I don't have a blue stuffed rabbit that wears a blazer." Rinnosuke said.

"But... But Tewi was here yesterday, wasn't she!?" Reisen said, pointing over at Tewi, who was distracted fiddling with some kind of gundam model. "She was here right!?" Reisen asked.

"Y-yes... She did sell me a blue rabbit. But like I said, it's not here anymore." Rinnosuke said. "Someone else bought it."

"WHO!?!?" Reisen asked in a demanding tone.

"I-It was Sakuya. The maid from the Scarlet Devil Mansion. She asked if I had anything that would act as a 'companion' to her mistress for some kind of tea party." Rinnosuke explained.

"A...Tea Party?" Reisen asked.

Meanwhile...

A teapot poured a warm hot liquid out of its spout, falling into the small flower designed cup with a light splash, but nothing spilling out. It filled up slowly and nicely, the scent of the tea's aroma filling the atmosphere and the noses of the scarlet vampire herself, Remilia Scarlet. She admired how the tea filled up nicely, being served to her.

"Here you go milady, is the tea to your liking?" Sakuya asked the eternally young vampire.

"Yes, thank you very much Sakuya. But what about our guest over there?" Remilia said, pointing over to the other chair, where a blue stuffed rabbit was sitting on a pile of books in order to reach the table.

"Ah, I forgot to ask. Forgive me. Would Lady Lapin Bleu like some tea also?" Sakuya said.

The stuffed rabbit remained as it is, doing nothing.

"Hm... It seems they would like some Sakuya." Remilia said.

"Right away then." Sakuya said, serving another cup by the blue rabbit's side, filling it up with tea.

"That would be all Sakuya, leave us be so we can chat." Remilia said.

"Yes, of course." Sakuya said, bowing as she takes the cart along with the tea pot as she leaves the nicely lit room.

She heads out of the doors, being greeted by Patchouli who had a look of oddity on her face.

"...Why are you playing along with this again?" She asked Sakuya.

"...Becasue Milady requested it. It is my obligation to fulfill her wants and needs. Besides, I think it is cute to see her have a little tea party with a stuffed animal." Sakuya said with a happy smile.

"Uh-huh... You do know your nose is bleeding right?" Patchouli asked. Sakuya's nose had a bit of blood dripping out.

"I am aware." Sakuya said with a calm smile. "...Please excuse me for a moment." Sakuya said, as she suddenly vanished. Patchouli wondered where she went.

---

"Look, Sakuya did go too Kourindou's the other day. But I don't know anything about a blue rabbit I swear!" Meiling said. "Please, we're not accepting any guests today so can you come back tomorrow?"

"No! I'm not going back until I get Ms. Bunny!" Reisen said, standing in front of the gatekeeper. "I just want to know what Sakuya did with her!"

Tewi was squatting on the ground, looking at an ant trail with curiosity on her face. She thinks it is interesting.

"Look, if you come in tomorrow we can discuss this more, but for now I need to do my job. So can you please leave before Sakuya comes out here?" Meiling said.

Suddenly, Sakuya appeared in-between the two, startling both of them. "What seems to be the problem here?"

"You!" Reisen shouted. "What did you do to Ms. Bunny!?"

"Ms. Bunny?" Sakuya said, tilting her head with confusion.

"My stuffed rabbit. She's blue, is missing an eye, and wears a blue blazer. What did you do with her!?" Reisen asked again.

"...Oh! Are you referring to Lady Lapin Bleu?" Sakuya said. "I got her at Kourindou's the other day. I humbly apologize, I did not know she belonged to someone else." She said, bowing humbly. "Please, come in, I'll talk to milady and inform her of the circumstance. She will understand."

"Thank you." Reisen said, dragging Tewi with her as the two walked with Sakuya into the mansion.

They head inside, where Sakuya guided them to a table in one of the living quarters of the building. "I'll bring in some tea, please, make yourselves at home." Sakuya said.

Tewi immediately made herself at home by placing her feet on the table. Sakuya glared at the rabbit, intimidating her to put her feet back down on the floor. The head maid left, leaving the room. Now it was just Reisen and Tewi.

"...Why." Reisen asked, looking at Tewi. "Why did you give her away?"

"...Um..." Tewi hesitated to answer, trying not to look at Reisen.

"...You have done many pranks over the years. You glued my feet to the floor, coated my blazer with itching powder, let loose a dozen snakes while I was taking a shower, replaced my pudding with paint, hell, even disguising yourself as Kaguya once and making me brush your hair for an hour..." Reisen went on. "And yet this one, was the worst of them all. So why did you give away Ms. Bunny?"

"...I-I didn't think she was that important." Tewi said, feeling a sense of guilt. "I just thought she was a normal stuffed animal that got worn out."

"You could've asked!" Reisen said. "You didn't have to sell her! Why would you even sell her!? If you wanted to mess with me, you could've just hid her in Eientei!"

"I...I was going to get her back..."

"Were you? Were you really?" Reisen said. "...Look, I just want to get her back, then we can go home and discuss this later."

"...Okay..." Tewi said, now feeling a bit more guilty. "...I wonder what's taking Sakuya so long with the tea?"

*BOOM*

A sound of an explosion could be heard as the mansion shook and trembled, starting both rabbits as they stood up, leaving the area. They look out the hall, seeing the entire place a mess. There were fairy maids all scattered across the ground, and the sight of dust and smoke rising from afar.

"What happened here!?" Reisen asked. She looked to the left, where she sees Sakuya casting spell cards as a fluffy of knives were sent down to attack a figure. Said figure squeezed her hand, destroying the knives, while the other one was holding a stuffed rabbit by its arm.

"Lady Flan!!! Please, give back the rabbit!" Sakuya said. Patchouli could also be seen casting some barriers to protect her and Sakuya. "That belongs to someone else!"

"I know." Flandre said. "Honestly, why does sis get to hog the bunny all to herself? I wanted to spend time with her. It's unfair that she would keep her from me."

"You're being unreasonable." Patchouli said. "Just give us the rabbit and calm down."

"No! She's mine! You can't have her!" Flandre said, hugging the rabbit close to her chest.

"Oh, this is not good. We can't have Ms. Explosion have her now can we." Tewi said, turning to look at Reisen, only to notice she was already charging ahead. "H-Hey!!!"

"Give me back Ms. Bunny!!!" Reisen shouted, aiming her finger as she fires a few shots at the vampire, intending to not hit the blue stuffed rabbit.

Flandre noticed the shots, destorying them with her hand. "Hey! That's unfair! You are all teaming up against me!!! Fine!!! If I can't have her, no one can!!!" She said. She destroys a portion of the wall next to her, throwing the rabbit with all her might.

"NOOOO!!! MS. BUNNY!!!" Reisen shouted, seeing the blue rabbit fly off into the sky. She quickly turned the other way, grabbing Tewi by the collar of her dress, and dashed out of the mansion, pursuing the rabbit.

"...Sigh... Patchouli, inform the other maids to clean up this mess while I escort Lady Flan back to her room." Sakuya said. "And check on Lady Remilia to see if she is alright."

"I can do that." Patchouli said.

"Hey, it's not my fair sis hogs everything." Flandre said.

---

Youmu hummed to herself, walking down the path that she always walks on whenever she heads to the village. She wore her familiar green dress, with a white ghost pattern at the hem of the skirt. She had a pack and carried her two swords, her phantom half by her side.

"Okay... Yuyuko-sama wants me to buy some melon to eat. I should also get some food for tonight's dinner, then maybe something for myself. Let's hope she doesn't find my new secret snack stash. She always finds them... Especially when they involve pudding..." Youmu said with a sad tone.

As she walked, she noticed the sight of a unfamiliar object lying on the ground. "Huh?" She said, looking at what's lying there. She picks it up, having it face her.

"Wait... Oh, aren't you Reisen-Chan's stuffed rabbit? What are you doing all the way out here?" Youmu asked the blue bunny. "Hm... Are you lost? It's strange to think that Reisen-chan would forget such an important friend... I know, I'll take you with me until I meet up with her!"

She takes the blue rabbit, opening her pack as she puts them inside for safe keeping. She straddles the pack back on her as she continues making her way down to the village.

Chapter 3

Summary:

A Few Years Ago...

Chapter Text

Youmu Konpaku made her way down the tall bamboo, walking behind her navigator Fujiwara no Mokou. Mokou had a few bandages on her head and arms, but looked like a quick healer. But it was awkward for Youmu to be walking behind one of the people whom she beat up the other day. Even if she was tricked to do it by Princess Kaguya.

The two were silent, with Youmu carrying a small white bag in her arms. It was full of delicious treats she made, as her master wanted to make sure Eientei and Hakugyokurou can have good relations in the future. She had put in a lot of effort, wanting to make sure the residents of the bamboo forest will appreciate the sweetness and taste.

The two arrived at the mansion, seeing a couple of rabbits hopping around, before scattering as they notice the pair getting close. Youmu was only here a couple of days ago to help resolve an incident, so she never really took the time to admire the structure of the place. It looks very nice and clean, though there were some signs of some deterioration, but it was very small and hard to notice.

Youmu turned around, looking up at the white long-haired immortal, giving a bow of appreciation. Mokou didn't say anything in return, instead spinning the opposite direction and begun to head back to check if anyone else needed some guidance. Youmu gulped, feeling a sense of intimidation coming from the building she arrived at. She walked through the gate, before arriving at the entrance where she announced herself with a knock.

Moments arrived, with no response. Youmu was curious if anyone was home, though there were lights that lit up through the windows to her left and right. Her question got answered as the door opened, revealing the white haired doctor of Eientei.

"...Ah, Youmu was it?" Eirin said.

"Y-Yes..." Youmu said in a timid voice. She wasn't used to interacting with new people that much. She was a little shy, plus she remembers facing against the Lunarian the other day. "...I-I've come bearing gifts." She said, bowing and presenting the bag in her arms. "P-Please accept them as a form of a-appreciation from me and Yuyuko-sama."

Eirin took the bag, checking inside before looking back at Youmu. "Thank you. Please, come in."

"A-Are you sure?" Youmu asked, raising her head and looking with uncertainty. "I-I don't want to intrude in your home."

"It's alright, I wouldn't want to send you home with nothing in return from us." Eirin said.

"O...Okay..." Youmu walked inside, past Eirin, into the living quarters where she sees Kaguya in the midst of reading the newspaper that has been handed out by the tengu. She was reading it with some interest.

"...Whoever this 'Aya' Person is, I doubt they're doing their job right if this is how they depict me and Eirin." Kaguya said, finding the information to be highly misleading. Her attention was taken away from the paper as she hears footsteps arrive, looking at the shy Youmu who looked all over with her eyes.

"Ah, you're the gardener who fought us, am I correct?" Kaguya said with a calm voice.

"Y-Yes... It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Youmu said with a bow. "It is an honor, to talk with the Hourai Princess of Eientei, Kaguya-sama. I am humbly thankful for this occasion."

Kaguya laughed, she giggled into her sleeve, leaving Youmu to raise her head in confusion.

"W-What is it?" Youmu asked.

"Oh, you don't need to be so formal with me. I actually prefer you don't treat me like I am a spoiled princess." Kaguya said.

"But you are one." Eirin said. "Last week you asked for a giant mochi you can sleep on while you eat it." Eirin said.

Kaguya stuck her tongue out at Eirin a little, before looking at Youmu again. "So, what brings you here Gardener?"

"I-I-I came and brought some sweets for all of you to enjoy... If you don't mind..." Youmu said.

"Sweets? Oh how thankful. I appreciate the effort you must've put in to make such goods."

"I-I am glad to hear that." Youmu said. She looked around, seeing the sight of the Earth Rabbit outside but not the moon rabbit. "...Where's Reisen-Chan?" Youmu asked.

"Inaba?" Kaguya said.

"Udonge?" Eirin asked.

"...Yes?" Youmu said. "I-I was hoping to speak with her again, if you don't mind."

"She should be in her room right now. It's down by the hall to your left." Eirin said.

"T-Thank you." Youmu said, bowing again before turning. Eirin placed the bag of sweets down on the table, revealing the goodness to Kaguya.

Youmu meanwhile walked down the hallway, looking by each room, seeing door after door, all of them looking to be the same in pattern and size. She walked until she arrived at the one with the name she was searching for.

"This should be the one..." Youmu said to herself as she took the door and opened it. "Reisen-Chan? Are you in here?"

Youmu observed the room, before laying her eyes on an injured Reisen. She had bandages on her head and ears, her arm in a sling, and one foot in a cast. She looked like she was beaten up by 8 people in one night. In her other arm, she was holding a stuffed blue rabbit.

"Eh?" Reisen said. "Oh... Aren't you the girl who was with the pink ghost who tried to eat me?"

Youmu remembered when she was out with Yuyuko, and how when she got to Reisen she had to keep her master from chewing on the poor rabbit's foot.

"Um... Yes... I'm Youmu Konpaku. And I do apologize for my master's actions." Youmu said with a blush. "H...How's your injuries?"

"...They're fine... Master wants me to take my time recovering until all my wounds heal... It hurts to walk, but at least I still have Ms. Bunny to keep me company." Reisen said.

"Ms. Bunny?" Youmu asked, tilting her head with curiosity.

"Oh yeah. She's my stuffed animal. And also my friend. Want to meet her?" Reisen said.

"Um... Sure." Youmu said. She walked towards the bed, as Reisen presented the blue rabbit. Youmu saw the perfect condition that the stuffed rabbit was, wondering how long Reisen had her for.

"Isn't she nice? She's great for snuggling with." Reisen said.

"Yeah..." Youmu said, unsure how to react. "I-I didn't know you have a stuffed animal."

"Really? You don't?"

"...Well no... I mean I like to hug my Phantom Half when I go to sleep, but that's it really..." Youmu said, pointing to her phantom half.

"Huh... So is it like apart of you, or a separate entity?" Reisen asked.

"They're apart of me."

"So you have like another body you control?"

"Yes. Would you like to feel it?"

"You're asking me to feel your other half?" Reisen asked, suddenly realizing how weird that sounds.

"Yes." Youmu said, not noticing what Reisen said specifically.

"O-Okay then..." Reisen reached for the phantom half, poking it on the side a little, squishing it.

"Ahhn~" Youmu yelped, letting out a moan. It startled Reisen enough to where she lost balance on her bed, falling over on the phantom half.

"Ow... owowowow... My bones..." Reisen said, groaning in pain.

"A-Ah!!! Sorry, are you okay!?" Youmu asked. "Here, let me help you up!" She said, pulling the moon rabbit back on the bed. "Are you alright? You didn't break anything did you?"

"No no, I'm fine... I'm fine..." Reisen said. "...Um... Can you hand me my rabbit back?" Reisen pointed on the floor, where Ms. Bunny laid.

"Oh, I can do that." Youmu said, picking up the rabbit and handing it to Reisen. "Again, I'm sorry for what happened..." She said.

"No, you're okay." Reisen said. "...I'm actually thankful you came all this way to talk to me. I don't... really have a lot of friends outside of Eientei."

"...You don't?" Youmu asked.

"...Not really... Ms. Bunny is the closest friend I got at the moment." Reisen said, looking at the blue rabbit's beady eyes. "She's been with me ever since I came to Earth."

"...Do...You want to be friends?" Youmu asked.

Reisen smiled. "I would love that."

---

The Human Village is a place where the majority of Gensokyo's Human Population lives in. There are many stores and businesses that are open, selling many goods. And though youkai are typically feared by most humans, there are those who live close or inside the village along the other villagers.

Youmu Konpaku walked around casually, humming a nice tune while observing the many familiar faces she grew to learn and recognize over the years. Sometimes a few of the villagers she talks to will try to offer her stuff, but she tries to decline anything that is over her budget, but occasionally there will be something of interest.

"Hey! Youmu! You here to buy more food for your master again?" A gruffy voice coming from one villager spoke. Youmu turned, recognizing that face and sound.

"Ah, Gurira-san." Youmu said with a smile. "Why yes, I am actually. You have any meats on sale?"

"You're in luck! I just cooked up some delicious fish! For you it's only 500 yen for 3, a sweet deal don'tcha thinik?" They said with a small hearty laugh.

"Really? That cheap? Thank you!!! I'll take it!!!" Youmu said.

Youmu bought the fish, holding the contents in a bag. She walked further down the streets.

'Okay, I got some fish. But I shouldn't spend too much either so-'

"Hey! Youmu!!! I have some pastries if you want some!" A sweet and kind voice coming from one end.

"Really!?" Youmu said.

"Hey Youmu, want some fresh fruits I just grew?"

"Seriously!?"

"Hey Youmu, I have some-"

"Youmu, do you want to try-"

"Youmu, over here! Come and-"

"Youmu-"

"Youmu-"

"Youmu-"

...

Eventually, Youmu was holding several bags of so many kinds of foods and snacks. Way over her budget by now.

"Ah... I did it again... Hopefully Yuyuko-sama doesn't get mad when I come home." Youmu said. "...And I still need to go over to Eientei soon after to drop off Reisen-Chan's rabbit. Maybe I'll be lucky enough and see her."

The Half-Human/Phantom Gardener took a stop by one of the nearby benches, dropping off all the bags she was carrying and placing her pack down in the middle of the pile. "I guess I'll walk around a bit, maybe I'll check Suzunaan to see if the latest Agatha Chris Q. Novel is out while I'm at it."

Youmu turned away from the bench, walking down the street to where the bookstore is located. She arrives at the small building, where the store's name could be seen hanging up above the curtain entrance.

Walking through, she heads inside, where a few shelves located left and right were filled with books, and more books piled and scattered around the floor. The front desk had even more books piled on top of it, with 2 familiar figures standing right there.

"Please, like I said, I haven't seen a blue stuffed rabbit anywhere. But I'll keep an eye out if that will make you happy. So can you please leave the store before you start bothering customers?" Kosuzu said, trying to be polite.

"But you're certain you haven't seen her? Did you not notice a little blue rabbit that came flying out of the sky into the streets of the village?" Reisen asked, wearing her usual disguise while Tewi was wearing a hat that covered most of her head and face. "Please, she's very, very important to me. Are you absolutely certain that-"

"I am certain. Now please... Look, I already have one customer waiting." Kosuzu said, facing her hand forward as Reisen and Tewi look back.

"Reisen-Chan?" Youmu said.

"Oh, Youmu-Chan!" Reisen said. "What are you doing here?"

"I was just doing some shopping for Yuyuko-sama... And then I spent more than what I intended." Youmu explained. "But what about you? I thought today was your day off."

"It is... But I'm trying to look for my blue rabbit Ms. Bunny. Have you seen her by chance?" Reisen asked, pleading with delicate eyes. Tewi meanwhile was busy reading one of the books that she randomly grabbed on the surrounding piles.

"...Oh Yeah! I did actually!" Youmu said.

"You have!?" Reisen spoke with sudden burst of joy.

"Yes actually. I was making my way here to the village when I saw her laying on the road. So I put her in my pack and continued making my way here. I was planning on heading to Eientei to give it to you but-"

"Youmu!!!" Reisen said, hugging the silver haired swordswoman with a tight hug. "Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! You're the best person in the whole world!!!" She then proceeded to kiss the gardener on the lips for approximately 10 seconds before letting go, as Youmu's eyes spun around and her face was a bright pink.

"ni problem Reiswn. I'm jist doijg what friejds would do." Youmu said, her mind feeling mushy from the air sucking kiss.

"C'mon Tewi. Let's go get back Ms. Bunny!" Reisen said, grabbing Tewi while she was still holding the book in her hands as they try to leave the store.

"H-Hey! You need to pay for that!!!" Kosuzu said.

---

Reisen, Tewi and Youmu all walk over to where Youmu dropped off her stuff, all the while they talked a little bit.

"Still, to think Ms. Bunny would make her way to the Scarlet Devil Mansion." Youmu said.

"I know, I was shocked to hear that Sakuya was the one who took her." Reisen said. "But I'm glad to know Ms. Bunny is okay."

"...It's just a stuffed animal..." Tewi mumbled. "I don't know why either of you are so worked up over it..."

"...What did you just say?" Reisen said in a threatening voice.

"N-Nothing!!! I was just talking about digging up more pitfalls in the bamboo forest! Y'know, to keep trespassers away!" Tewi said. "C'mon, lets get your stuffed rabbit back!" She said.

Soon, the three made their way to the bench, only to discover that everything but Youmu's pack was gone.

"Ahhh!!! Everything I just bought!!!" Youmu shouted. "It's all gone!!!"

"All of it!?" Reisen asked with worry. "But what about Ms. Bunny?"

"She should be in here..." Youmu checked the pack, opening it to reveal empty space. "...She's not in here!!!"

"What!?!? But you said you had her!!! Where could she have gone!?" Reisen shouted.

"I-I don't know!!!" Youmu said. "I swear that she was in here last I checked!!!"

The two's screaming started gathering a crowd, as people started wondering what it is those two were shouting about. Tewi meanwhile noticed all the stares.

"Um... Reisen, we're kinda making a scene here so if you can-" Tewi said.

"Who took Ms. Bunny!?!?!?" Reisen shouted.

"...Or not..." Tewi said.

"...I can only think of one person who would do such a thing..." Youmu said.

"Who!?" Reisen asked, facing Youmu.

"Look." Youmu held a long strand of hair, colored blonde.

"...The Magician..." Reisen said, curling up her fist in anger.

---

Meanwhile, up in the sky. The sight of a large bag holding a quantity of food was dangling from the edge of a broom, as the one using it to fly kept one hand on the handle, with the other holding onto the blue rabbit in her arm tightly.

"Man...Today's my lucky day!" Marisa said in a happy tone. "Who would've thought that someone would just leave a whole pile of food sitting on a bench? It's like they were asking me to borrow it. And what's more, I even found this little guy. What, were you some kind of guardian of the food stash?" Marisa asked the blue rabbit.

The rabbit remained silent, its ears waving in the wind.

"...Ah, what am I doing... Talking to stuffed animals... That's more of Alice's thing... Oh, speaking of, maybe I can take this little guy and show it off to Alice after I drop off all this food! I bet she'll love it!!!"

Marisa increased her speed, zooming over to the Forest of Magic with enough food to last for a couple of weeks.

Chapter Text

The Forest of Magic was a mythical place, home to many youkai, luring in the dark woods of the tree grounds. The air is filled to the brim with a toxic scent of mushrooms, growing wherever they please. It is a very dangerous place for normal humans and those unprepared. But for the likes of Alice, it's a nice place for a sense of isolation.

Her house is located in the thinner parts of the forest, with a house big enough just for her and her many dolls. It was western designed, making it stand out all the more in the land of Gensokyo. Inside there were many dolls, most of them sitting around and looking pretty for the eyes. But there were also some that were moving, walking, floating even. This was thanks to Alice's mastery over her magic and puppetry. With a twitch of her hands she could make all the dolls do whatever she commands them to do.

Two dolls of hers were very special: Shanghai and Hourai. They act as her most beloved companions. Though that isn't to say she doesn't love all her dolls, it just means she likes those two more than others.

Today was just another quiet day for Alice. Shanghai poured her the black tea she always makes while Hourai adds just the right amount of cream and sugar to the liquid. The two dolls push the tea and its coaster forward slowly, keeping the hot drink from spilling.

"Ah, thank you as always." Alice told her two dolls, picking up the tea while reading one of her books. She put her lips to the edge of the up, about to take in her drink.

Unfortunately, she was interrupted with the shaking of her table, the rumbling of the door, and the shouting of a familar yet annoying friend, causing her to spill her tea all over her dress.

"Yo!!! Alice!!! Check what I have!!!" Marisa shouted, barging in without a care in the world.

"Hot hot hot hot!!!" Alice yelped, having her dolls grab her a towel which she snatches from their tiny little hands. She wipes off her dress as much as she can before it stains. "Geez, Marisa! I told you to knock first! Look what you did to my dress!" She shouted.

"Ah, Alice. That's not how you greet your friends." Marisa said. "The least you could do is say 'Oh hi Marisa, what is this wonderful and amazing thing you have to show me?'" Marisa said, mimicking Alice's style of speech.

"...Sigh...Sometimes I wonder how Reimu puts up with you..." Alice said, pinching her nose and groaning. "...Fine. Hi Marisa, what is-"

"Look at this blue bunny I found at the village!" Marisa said, pulling out a blue bunny in a blazer. "Isn't it cute? I was thinking of calling em bubbles."

"A blue rabbit?" Alice asked, looking more closely. "...Marisa... Where did you get this?"

"Like I said, from the village! Poor fella was sitting all alone, I had to take them along with me." Marisa said. "Hm... They look quite beaten up too... And are those teeth marks on its ear?"

"Marisa... Did you steal this from someone?" Alice asked again.

"What? No of course not... I'm just borrowing them." Marisa said.

"Marisa!!! What were you thinking!?" Alice said, getting more mad as her voice grew louder. "Did you take this from a child!?"

"No of course not! I'm not that cruel! They were sitting around in a pile of food...which I also borrowed." Marisa said.

"Oh my...Marisa... Give me the rabbit." Alice said, walking forward.

"Hey, no. I found them first."

"Marisa... give me the rabbit." Alice said with more intimidation.

"No!!! You can't!!! I'm already sentimentally attached to them!" Marisa shouted, running past Alice and further into the house.

"Marisa! Get back here!!!" Alice shouted, getting her dolls to chase after the magician. "Stop acting so childish!!!"

The dolls begin shooting their bullets at Marisa, making her quick on her toes as she flies around in the close spaces of the home.

---

Elsewhere in the Forest of Magic, there was another house belonging to the ordinary magician Marisa Kirisame. Unlike Alice's home, Marisa's was much messier, having tons of junk lying around in an unorganized fashion. Currenlty it is being ransacked by a pair of rabbits.

Tewi was standing by the door, leaning against it while looking outside to observe, while Reisen was inside, literally throwing everything left and right, searching through all the scraps and items that Marisa has collected over the years. Youmu was also inside, having tagged along to help look for Ms. Bunny. She looked more thoroughly and not as frantic as the moon rabbit.

"Not here... Not here... Not here..." Reisen said, grabbing random items and tossing them around. "...Hey Tewi! Can't you help me in here!?"

"I am helping. I'm on watch duty in case anyone tries to stop us." Tewi said. "Your job is to look for your blue stuffed animal."

"Her name is Ms. Bunny!!!" Reisen shouted. "Get it right!"

"Fine fine... Ms. Bunny." Tewi said. "Your beloved companion..."

"Um... I'm not sure if Ms. Bunny is here you two." Youmu said. "...If anything Marisa-Chan probably still has her...Also can anyone tell me what this is supposed to be?" Youmu said, holding what looks like a horses head. "It smells weird and has a strange face."

"Maybe you should put it on or something." Tewi said.

"Um... Okay." Youmu agreed, putting on the mask over her head. "How do I look Reisen-Chan?"

Reisen stopped looking for a moment, taking the time to stare at the horse head that Youmu was wearing. She then burst into laughter, falling over into the pile of junk while still laughing.

"That's the best thing I've seen today!!! Hahahaha!" Reisen laughed.

Youmu, wanting Reisen to feel better, went along with the moment. "U-Um... Neighhh~" She neighed, making Reisen laugh even more. Even Tewi let out a snicker as she looked back.

Quicky however Reisen's laughter calmed down, as she looked around in the mess that is Marisa's home. Though with her intrusion the mess is now much messier. "Hah..." She let out a sigh, sitting down crisscrossing her legs. Youmu pulled off the mask, noticing Reisen's current action.

"...What am I doing... Breaking into someone's home... Rummaging through all their stuff... Just to find my stuffed animal." Reisen said. "...Maybe I should've just waited till Marisa came home and then ask her."

"It's not your fault Reisen-Chan." Youmu said. "If I lost something precious to me, I'd probably look all over Gensokyo to find it. Or until Yuyuko-sama gets hungry, then I'll look again tomorrow."

"I know... But what if I do look all over Gensokyo and I'm still unable to find her... What if I never see her again?" Reisen said.

"Hey, don't say that. We'll find Ms. Bunny together soon. I guarantee it. You shouldn't give up now."

"...Thanks Youmu-Chan. You're a great person." Reisen said, showing a happier smile to the half human gardener. "...I guess its better to find Marisa herself. Knowing her she's either hanging out with Alice or Reimu at the moment. I believe Alice's house is close to where we are even." She stated, standing up from the ground and heading for the door.

"Do you know the way?" Youmu asked.

"Of course I do, I've been to her house before." Reisen said. "C'mon Tewi... And leave that gem you hid in your pocket behind."

"How did you!-" Tewi shouted, before sighing as she exposed herself. "Fine..." She pulled out the shiny white gem out of her pocket, dropping it on the ground as she and Youmu leave the house.

"Do you think Marisa-Chan would notice that someone broke in?" Youmu asked.

"I doubt it, that place is messier than Kourindou's." Reisen said.

---

Back at Alice's home, a battle between the 7 colored magician and the black white ensued. Both of them trading equal blows of their magic and spell cards. Marisa shot out stars, while Alice used her dolls for both defense and offense.

Marisa quickly slid under the table, avoiding the piercing capability of their weapons. One of them nearly hit her face as it struck through the wooden structure. "Geez!!! Did you sharpen your dolls weapons!?" Marisa asked.

"Of course I do. I take good care of the tools and weapons my dolls carry." Alice said. "So how about you be a good girl, give me the bunny, and I'll return it to its original owner whomever they may be?"

"Never!!! I'll only return it when I'm dead!" Marisa said.

"Well I'm glad to speed up that process if you like." Alice said. 3 of her dolls get under the table, one of them poking Marisa's butt, making her yelp as she scurries out under the table and into the sudden barrage of bullets from the dolls that were waiting for her.

Marisa set up a barrier last minute, though not quickly enough as one of the bullets did hit her in the chest, causing her to fall back, dropping the bunny as it flopped to the floor. Marisa quickly rolled over, attempting to grab the bunny again when Shanghai and Hourai swooped in, grabbing the rabbit before she had the chance to.

"Nooo!!! Bubbles!!!" Marisa cried.

"Thank you Shanghai, Hourai." Alice said, as the two dolls held the rabbit in their arms. "Now then, if you excuse me I'll be heading to the village. Please show yourself out the door."

"You're not even going to serve me tea?" Marisa asked. "C'mon... I'm lonely over here, the floor is cold."

"Then get up and warm yourself. Don't you have anything better to do?" Alice said.

*knock knock knock*

"Hm? Excuse me for a moment Marisa..." Alice said, heading out the room and to where the door was, leaving Marisa alone if the room with the dolls and the bunny.

The door opened, revealing 2 rabbits and a gardener to Alice's eyes.

"Reisen? Youmu? And even Tewi? What brings you all here?" Alice asked.

"Um...Is Marisa here by chance?" Reisen asked.

"Why yes actually. Is there something going on?" Alice asked.

"She stole Reisen-Chan's Stuffed Animal. We're trying to get it back." Youmu said.

"Stuffed animal... Oh! Yes! Marisa is here right now!" Alice said.

"She is!?" Reisen said, running in past Alice into the room. "H-Hey! Don't just run in like that!" Alice said.

Reisen ran right into the living room, where she spots Marisa, standing next to a defeated Shanghai and Hourai while holding the blue rabbit in her hand.

"Marisa!!! Give me back Ms. Bunny!!!" Reisen said, charging right at the girl.

"Wait, this is yo-" Marisa was interrupted as the moon rabbit leaped right at the girl, tackling her down and using her combat knowledge to put her in a headlock.

"Ow!!! Owowowow!!! Hey!!! Let go of me!!!" Marisa said. "Geez you have large thighs! What have you been eating!?"

"D-don't make fun of me! You're in no position to say whatever!!!" Reisen said.

Alice, Youmu and Tewi walked into the room, seeing the current position that Reisen and Marisa were in. Reisen was using her legs to lock Marisa's head in place, while pinning the rest of her body down with her own weight. The 3 reacted with surprise. Alice blushed, Tewi smirked with interest, and Youmu could only stare, fantasizing.

'I wish that were me instead of Marisa-Chan.' Youmu thought quietly in her head.

"Hey, where is Ms. Bunny?" Reisen asked. "She should be somewhere on the ground."

Alice looked around, before laying her eyes on the stuffed rabbit. "Ah, there! She's right there!" She pointed to where Marisa dropped the rabbit... Only for a gap to open, causing the stuffed bunny to fall right in as it closed.

Reisen looked with absolute shock in her eyes, her grip getting tighter around Marisa's head as she felt a sense of fury build up.

"H-Hey... You're squeezing my head a little hard there..." Marisa said.

"YUKARI!!!!!!!!!!!!" Reisen cried out loudly, her voice echoing in the forest.

Chapter Text

Hakurei Shrine was a place close to the border of the Great Hakurei Barrier. It is the home of the Shrine Maiden of Paradise, Reimu Hakurei. Her job is to protect Gensokyo and its civilians from hungry youkai and those who cause incidents. And while she doesn't always have the most perfect life, she wouldn't have it any other way...Well unless it involves money in which case she may reconsider her previous morals.

By the veranda of the main shrine itself, Reimu was admiring the gentle breeze of the wind, the sound of trees and branches rustling ever so slightly, all the while appreciating the drink clasped in her hands. It was a nice day for her. There were no guests, no visitors, no donations... She did wish a pile of money would just fall out of the sky though. But alas, not everything can go her way.

She took a small sip of her drink, her ears picking up a different noise this time behind her. It was a familiar sound of a gap opening inside the shrine. Reimu placed down her drink by the empty tray of snacks, picking it up as she turned for the door, opening it.

Inside by her table was the gap youkai Yukari Yakumo, one who Reimu would consider to be a tolerable friend at most.

"Great, just when today was nice." Reimu said. "What is it this time Yukari?"

"My Reimu, I only arrived and you already act aggressive." Yukari said with her usual tone of voice. "Can't a friend come visit without any reason or motive?"

"This is you we're talking about Yukari, there's always something going on when you show up." Reimu said. She walked over to her kitchen, taking the tray and grabbing some more tea and snacks. "The least you could do is inform me in advance so I know if I needed to make more tea."

"And yet no matter who shows up you always have tea for them." Yukari said, speaking from the main room.

"That's because I get guests and visitors so often."

"You don't always have to prepare that much tea though. If anything you could just make enough for yourself and slap away the hand of those who beg for more." Yukari said. "Eventually people will take the hint and not show up as often as they do."

Reimu walked back in, holding the tray with the tea pot and the snacks as she serves Yukari a bit of the tea, sliding it towards her and then pouring herself some more.

"Well I could if I want, but I'm not going to be rude and not show hospitality." Reimu said. "But the least you could do when you visit is donate so I can continue to afford the tea and snacks you all consume like hungry wolves... Or Shion when she visits."

Yukari took a sip of her tea, admiring it's familiar yet tasteful aroma. "...You always make such good tea Reimu. Its stuff like this that draws everyone's attention."

"Really? I doubt that my tea is that good compared to someone like Youmu's or Sakuya's." Reimu said.

"Perhaps it is because unlike you who only complains, those two do their job as diligent workers." Jabbed Yukari. "...That reminds me, there's something I want to show you."

"Something to show me? What, is it another strange object that is somehow connected to 'today's incident of the month'?" Reimu spoke with air quotes.

"C'mon, it's nothing that bad. And we don't get incidents that often." Yukari said, opening a small portal and pulling out something by its ears. She placed the blue rabbit on the table, presenting it to Reimu.

"...A rabbit?" Reimu asked. "And an old one too..."

"I noticed a bunch of people fighting over it earlier at Alice's house when I was planning on visiting. They all looked like they were having a rough time so I decided to take away the main root of their problems." Yukari said. "But I can see why they were fighting over this fella... Isn't it cute?"

"Hm..." Reimu looked closer at the rabbit, reaching a hand out to feel it's arm, lifting it a little and dropping it. "...Does it have a spirit residing inside?"

"No." Yukari said.

"Is it a Tsukumogami?"

"No."

"Is it a spy camera that Aya made with Nitori."

"Not that either."

"Does it become alive at midnight?"

"Nope."

"Is it out to kill me?"

"Nuh-uh."

"...Then what?" Reimu asked. "Is it just a normal stuffed bunny?"

"Correct." Yukari said.

"...Why would people be fighting over it then if it is nothing special?" Reimu said.

"You mean you never had a stuffed animal when you were young?" Yukari asked.

"Never needed one. I think it's childish to have a stuffed animal." Reimu said.

"Oh, I pity you Reimu. You never got to imagine what it is like having a companion growing up. Someone who protect you when the thunderstorms roll in, or when you are reading a book together, or someone to talk to when you're lonely." Yukari said.

"I'm never lonely though... Because people like you keep intruding my personal space 24/7." Reimu stated. "But anyways, if people were fighting over this then it clearly belongs to someone."

"Well I wouldn't know who, I just know that everyone was fighting over the bunny." Yukari said. "Maybe you should keep them here until someone picks them up." She slid the bunny over to where Reimu was sitting.

"Huh? Why me?" Reimu said, looking at Yukari with a strange look.

"Because as you said, you're not going to be rude and not show hospitality to anyone. Or are you taking back what you said?"

"I...I'm pretty sure that doesn't include stuffed animals." Reimu said, taking the rabbit. "But I guess I'll keep them here until their owner picks them up."

"Splendid." Yukari said. "Well then, I'll be off now." She said, vanishing down into her gap.

"H-Hey! I wasn't-" Reimu said, seeing the gap youkai vanish. "...Done talking. Ugh, why is she always like that?"

---

The gap portal of Yukari's opened up elsewhere, back at the previous place that Yukari was. She slowly rose out of it, opening her eyes to the startling quick approach of the mad rabbit, diving right at her.

"Yuuuukarriiii!!!!!" Reisen shouted, trying to tackle down the mysterious youkai. She jumped right at her, only to end up crashing into a wall instead thanks to Yukari's quick reaction time and mastery of portals.

"My, I only just showed up and already you're attacking Moon Rabbit." Yukari said, turning around to face the girl.

Reisen ignored Yukari's words, instead turning around and shooting bullets at her instead, forcing her to pull out her parasol to shield herself from the attack.

"And you're not even listening to me are you..." Yukari said.

"Give me back Ms. Bunny!!!" Reisen said. "Where did you take her!?" She said, continuing to shoot.

Youmu and Alice watched by the side, drinking tea while Tewi was playing with some of the not-active dolls, making them reenact a kung fu fight.

"Huh, you were right Alice-Chan." Youmu said. "But how did you know that Yukari would come back?"

"I just know, she's always like that." Alice said. "What I am more surprised is Reisen charging at her like a bull." She took another sip of her tea. "I just hope she doesn't break any of my furniture."

Reisen continued shooting at Yukari, aiming right at the parasol despite her attacks not working.

"Reisen dear, will you calm down for a second and let me explain?" Yukari said.

"Just give me back Ms. Bunny!" Reisen said.

"Who even is Ms. Bunny?" Yukari said.

"My stuffed animal! The one you took from me!" Reisen said.

"...Oh, that one." Yukari said. "...Why didn't you just say that?" She said, closing her parasol and vanishing through a gap, only to reappear behind Reisen. Reisen turned around, about to attack but was halted by Yukari grabbing both of the rabbit's wrists.

"Stop shooting for a second." Yukari said. "I know where you bunny is."

"...Where?" Reisen asked, her tone bitter and her voice angry.

"I dropped them off at Reimu's place. If you want I can-"

"Reimu!!! Of course!!!" Reisen said, pulling away from the gap youkai and dashing out of the house. She went on a full sprint through the forest of magic.

"...Eirin hasn't been teaching her student well if she refuses to listen like that." Yukari said. "What about you three?"

"I am not involved in this mess so I'll stay." Alice said.

"Same here. I have no reason to go." Tewi said.

"Yes you do Tewi-san." Youmu said, grabbing Tewi by the ear.

"Hey! Ow! Don't pull on me!" The Earth Rabbit cried as she was dragged by Youmu to the open gap portal.

---

Even though Reimu didn't need to, she spent her time making a nice little place for the blue rabbit. She put on one of her ribbons on its head, and gave it a tiny little gohei for it to hold. It had a nice small plate of carrots on it, and a cup of tea to go along.

"Hm...I wonder if I have any clothes that can fit you..." Reimu said. "...And a name would suffice... How about Tomi o Motarasu? Because you're going to bring me riches for my shrine." Reimu said.

The blue miko rabbit sat there in silence.

"...Yeah, that's a good name. Maybe I'll place you by the donation box, that'll get people's attention." Reimu said, picking up the rabbit. She looked left and right of her home, making sure that there was no signs of anyone watching, before looking back at the rabbit and hugging it tightly.

"Ahhh... I always wanted to hug my own stuffed animal... So soft and fluffy~" Reimu said, expressing joy. "Everyone would laugh if they find out that the Shrine Maiden of Hakurei has a stuffed animal they sleep with, it's the reason why I never owned one."

Reimu continued to hug the bunny, squealing and smiling with joy like how a little kid would, spinning around in the room she is in. This went on for a few more seconds when a gap portal open, Youmu and Tewi walking into the shrine, to spot Reimu holding Ms. Bunny.

"..." Reimu stared at Youmu and Tewi, who stared back. Youmu had a look of surprise, while Tewi did the same, only to follow with a smirk.

And to add salt to the wound, Aya appeared from from the floorboard to take a picture of Reimu, quickly dashing out of the shrine and up into the sky faster than sound.

And all Reimu could do was stare aghast, quickly walking over to place the rabbit back to its resting place and then walking back to pul out a different floorboard where she keeps Suika's stash of Sake. She opened one of the bottles, and chugged half of it down before slamming the container on her table, now feeling drunk.

"Auuuuugh... My life is ruined... hic..." Reimu said, groaning. "I was having such a good day... but... but... now everyone is going to know that the shrine maiden has a stuffed animal... hic."

Youmu looked at the clock that was up on a shelf of the room, noticing the time. "Huh, it's not even past 4." Youmu said.

"Must be a new record." Tewi said.

"Maybe I should retire to the mountains, become a hermit... I can survive on berries and grass while I live in a cave...hic...I can even learn to hunt wildlife, make a fire, rule the animal kingdom..." Reimu thought out loud.

Yukari walked in, seeing Reimu already drunk. "I wasn't gone for that long, what did I miss?" Yukari asked.

"And even Yukari is here..." Reimu said. "She set me up. She wanted me to be exposed... I can never show my face to anyone ever again..." She said, beginning to cry and mope.

The sound of footsteps approaching the shrine could be heard. It was first picked up by Tewi, because of her rabbit ears. Then Youmu heard it, because of her sense of awareness. Then Yukari, who just noticed it now, but Reimu didn't because she was drunk. The footsteps grew louder and louder, making their way up the steps of the shrine before the entire front door was barged through, with an angry rabbit glaring down.

"WHERE'S MS. BUNNY!?!?" Reisen shouted. She breathed hard, tired and sweaty from all the running she made from Alice's house to the Hakurei Shrine. "...Wait... Youmu... And Tewi... how did you two... get up here first?"

"Yukari." Youmu and Tewi said at the same time, pointing at the gap youkai. Yukari simply waved at Reisen while the moon rabbit walked over to the table, sitting down from exhaustion.

"Hah...Reimu...Hah...Where is...Hah...She?" Reisen asked, her head hitting the table while she lied down. "...I'm so tired..."

"You and me both...hic..." Reimu said. "Want some sake?"

"...No..." Reisen said, still panting. "I just... want... my bunny back..."

"...Oh... Can you describe her?" Reimu asked.

"...She's blue... wears a blazer... what else can I say?"

"...Ah... I think I know who you are referring to." Reimu said, pointing over to where she kept the rabbit. "She's over there..."

"...there?" Reisen asked, looking over where Reimu was pointing. She saw a place that looks like its supposed to hold something, but it was not. "But I don't see anything."

"...Really? Strange, I could've sworn I kept her there." Reimu said, looking back.

Reisen took a moment to breathe, calming her heart before focusing around the room. She looked, catching a gimpse of what looks like 3 fairies all slowly walking away with a rabbit in their arms.

"...I see you... I see you!" Reisen said, getting out of the table, having second wind as she stood up, staring at the 3 fairies of light.

"Wah!!! She spotted us!" Sunny said.

"She did!? I thought you were keeping us hidden!" Star said.

"Lets get out of here!!!" Luna said.

the 3 fairies broke their cover, making a dash for it as they flew out of the shrine. Reisen jumped out also, going full pursuit.

"GET BACK HERE! I'LL SHOOT YOU ALL DOWN IF I MUST!!!" She shouted.

"W-wait up Reisen-Chan!!!" Youmu said, dragging Tewi with her as they both follow behind. Yukari watched as they all leave, turning her head back to the drunk maiden.

"Well, so much for a quiet day I suppose." Yukari said. "...You got any more sake?"

Reimu, having her head down on the table, pushes the sake forward.

"Would you like me to get you another stuffed animal?" Yukari asked, taking the sake and pouring herself a small cup.

"...Uh-huh." Reimu mumbled through the table surface.

Some time ago...

Chapter Text

"Hm..."

"...What? I-Is it not good Reisen?"

She looked at the beady eyes of Ms. Bunny, staring right at it and its body. It has been many years since Reisen has gotten Ms. Bunny, and the wear and tear shows. She looked at her friend, who had blue hair in 2 ponytails, rabbits ears like hers but with and accessory in one of them, a periwinkle dress with a star and moon pattern around the bottom. Reisen knows her to be Seiran.

Currently, the two have been trying to find something nice for Ms. Bunny to wear. She had gotten worn down a lot, so trying to get some nice cute clothing was the reasonable solution. They have already gone through many different outfits: From tuxedos, pink outfits, fitness gear, a Chinese dress, kimono, even trying to dress Ms. Bunny up like one of their friends. But nothing really seemed to work.

Right now, they were looking at the last thing they have, which is a blue blazer, designed to look like their old moon rabbit uniforms.

"...It's... It's perfect." Reisen said, picking up the stuffed rabbit. "...Look at her, she pulls off that blazer amazingly!"

"Oh really!?" Seiran asked. "T-thank goodness, that was the only other thing I have... I-I suppose if it really works then I'll let you keep it."

"Thank you Seiran." Reisen said, showing a smile to her friend. "And I'll be sure to eat some of your dango when you open up your shop."

"M-my dango... O-o-oh, yes of course!" Seiran said. "I-I'll be happy if you try some of m-mine!" She said with a nervous smile. She isn't used to having conversations with most people, not even with Reisen. She always had trouble maintaining one.

The two were currently at Reisen's room. It had only been about a week since the latest incident had been resolved. Now Seiran had abandoned the Moon and settled down in Gensokyo, hoping to start a new business. The two knew each other from being in the military together.

"...Y'know... I-I am glad to be able to see you again Reisen..." Seiran said, sitting down on the bed. "...Honestly I always thought that you were kidnapped by the Earthlings, brought to their labs so they can extract your DNA and create super soldiers to invade us again... And to think, you were living with Lady Yagokoro and Princess Kaguya all this time. Lucky you."

"Lucky is a bit of an exaggeration." Reisen said, walking over to the bed with Ms. Bunny to sit down next to Seiran. "...I mean I don't live here for free or anything. I work as Master's assistant in medicine and medical procedures, I take care of Princess and her needs, I deal with Tewi and the other rabbits. It can be stressful. Nothing compared to the moon, but I wouldn't say its like heaven."

"Is it because the Earth Rabbit happens to be older than you?"

"Nah, if anything I act more like the older sister around here." Reisen said. The two shared a laugh before Seiran got a bit more serious.

"...I just want to know... What made you run away?" Seiran asked. "I mean I fled because I was practically treated like crap on the moon. I barely got paid, no one respected me besides Ringo, and I am pretty sure they tried to get me killed in some missions... But what about you though? I heard you fled when the Lunar War began is that right?"

Reisen looked at the blue haired rabbit, before hugging her stuffed animal a bit tighter. "...It was madness out there... I don't know why they did but they sent me out in the frontlines... I saw my comrades dying, debris everywhere... And those machines, with their chrome faces and way of movement, it was like gravity didn't apply to them...I was almost killed had our leader not take the shot for me instead. But... I just..." Reisen hesitated to speak, hugging Ms. Bunny even tighter. "...The next thing I knew, I snatched the Lunar Veil off their dead body, and I just ran off... I don't know what happened afterwards, everything became a blur in my mind. I felt like my body float through space, then I landed on dirt and leaves, as a pool of my own blood spilt all around me... And I was staring up at the moon."

Seiran's eyes widened with interest, looking at her friend next to her. "...I-I'm so sorry Reisen...I didn't know you had to suffer like that... What then?"

"...The next thing I knew, I was in a brightly lit room, with all my injuries healed up and my mind fresh... Then I saw Master, who took care of me... And then I proceeded to try and escape, believing that I was going to be punished for my actions." Reisen said.

"...Wait what?" Seiran asked.

"Yeah... The first few weeks I was a little unhinged. I always fought when I was being healed, I wouldn't eat anything that I thought was suspicious, one time I even bit my master when she was trying to check my temperature." Reisen said.

"Seriously!?" Seiran thought, trying to imagine what it was like for Eirin taking care of a patient like that.

"...Then one day, Princess came to my room to check on me. While I wasn't as paranoid around her, I still kept my guard up. She wanted to see how I was doing, making sure I was okay. I wanted her to leave, and I thought she did, but then came back with Ms. Bunny here." Reisen lifted Ms. Bunny up a bit. "...And for the first time, I felt safe... Truly safe."

---

Seiran woke up from her stand, resting her head on the counter while looking around. She yawned, looking to see that once again, 0 customers.

"Yaaaaawwwnnn... That was a nice dream..." Seiran said. "...But still no customers..."

She looked over at the other side of the street, where her rival's stand Ringo was located. There were about 10-20 customers waiting in line to try some of her famous dango as always. She was busy making dango after dango after dango, while all Seiran has is a tumble weed that passed by.

"Run run run run!!!" A trio of voices shout. Seiran looked, seeing what looks like 3 small fairies, one of them holding a blue stuffed bunny wearing a blazer, all running down the street.

"...Wait... Isn't that Ms. Bunny?" Seiran asked herself. She heard what sounds like screaming, seeing her friend Reisen coming up close. "Get back here!!! I'll rip off your wings if I must!!!" Reisen shouted, dashing down the street quickly.

Following her a distance away, was Youmu. She alongside Tewi were running, trying to catch up with the enraged moon rabbit. "R-Reisen!!! Wait up!!!" Youmu said, trying to keep up with her best friend. Tewi meanwhile was just there for the ride at this point.

Seiran sees them all run past her, judging from the looks she was able to conclude that the 3 fairies that just passed by bunnynapped Ms. Bunny, angering Reisen to chase after them, and somehow got Youmu and Tewi involved in the process.

"This is not good... I should go help Reisen!" Seiran told herself.

"Um, excuse me miss... I was hoping that I could try some of your dango if-" One of the villagers said.

"Sorry! We're closed!!!" Seiran shouted, slamming a close sign on the counter, grabbing her mallet and leaving her post, going after Reisen and the fairies.

Back with the fairies, they were all running in a line together. Sunny was leading the group, Star was in the middle holding Ms. Bunny, and Luna was last in the line. Luna looked behind her, seeing the red eyes coming up fast.

"S-She's getting close!!!" Luna said. "What do we do!?"

"She is!? This is bad!" Star said.

Sunny, looked around, trying to see if there was a way out of the pursuit. She then saw a building, with aa poster of a whale next to it. "There! Lets go in there!!!" She decided.

The 3 fairies all flew in, with Sunny using her light refraction and Luna using her sound muting to fly in silently without any detection.

Reisen saw the 3 go inside the place known as Geidontei, about to head right in when she heard Youmu's voice.

"Reisen-Chan!!!" Youmu said.

"Eh?" Reisen said. She looked at the tired Youmu and Tewi.

"Geez... Can't you just wait for a second?" Tewi said, panting along with Youmu.

"S-sorry... I saw the 3 go in there so-" Reisen said.

"Wait Reisen-Chan... You can't just go in with your ears sticking out. It will cause some commotion if a moon rabbit walks in." Youmu said. "Here, I'll go in and look."

Youmu walked in, leaving her phantom half outside with Reisen and Tewi as she looks around, seeing a bunch of old men laughing and drinking, while a pink haired girl with a whale hat was busy serving the customers. Miyoi Okunoda turned her eyes to Youmu. "Oh, welcome to Geidontei. I don't think I seen you around, how can I help?" She asked.

"Um... Hi. Have you seen 3 figures walk in here, one of them holding a blue rabbit?" Youmu asked.

"Hm...Not really? Why, is there an issue?" Miyoi asked.

"It's nothing, just that- wait..." Youmu looked over at Miyoi's shoulder, seeing 3 figures and one stuffed animal all sitting at one table , having somehow swapped their clothes with each other glasses while the rabbit wore fake glasses.

"Um... Excuse me ma'am, we found this table first." Sunny said in a fake deep voice. "Go find your own table too sit."

"..." Youmu looked at the fairies and their awful disguises. She slowly pulled out one of her swords, inciting the fairies to panic.

"...Our cover's blown!!!" Sunny said, grabbing Ms. Bunny as they all fly out of the door, past Reisen and Tewi, making a sharp right turn.

"H-Hey!!!" Reisen said. She started to run, while Youmu ran out of the door, following Reisen while Tewi stayed close behind them.

The fairies kept on flying, zooming through some people as they flew up into the sky, intending on leaving the village.

"Okay, lets get out of here! We'll go back to our home, and then-"

Sunny was interrupted by a sudden bullet that warped out of some dimension, hitting her on the face. This caused Star to bump into Sunny, and Luna to bump into Star, making all 3 fairies to fall back down to the ground.

They crash, landing right at the feet of the sock-wearing, mallet-holding rabbit that is Seiran, looking down at the fairies that landed on each other, piling up.

"...Well well. Some thieves trying to steal something precious I see?" Seiran said.

"Seiran!!!" Reisen shouted. Seiran noticed Reisen running up to her. She gave a wave at Reisen.

"Hey! Reisen! I stopped the fairies for you!" Seiran said.

"Seiran!!! Stop them!" Reisen said.

"Huh?" Seiran looked behind her, already seeing the fairies trying to get away again with Ms. Bunny. Reisen ran past her friend, getting close to Sunny who was holding Ms. Bunny now, grabbing the stuffed animal. Sunny however still resisted, grabbing onto the other part of Ms. Bunny.

"Let go... I said let go!!!" Reisen said.

"No... Never..." Sunny said. "Help me Star, Luna!"

Star and Luna got behind Sunny, helping her pull as they try to get Ms. Bunny back. But even with the strength of 3 fairies Reisen was still able to keep pulling back. Reisen held onto the rabbit's arms, while Sunny held on the rabbit's legs. They were in a stalemate, neither one able to outdo the other in power. But eventually...

*RIIIIP*

"Wah!!!" The 3 fairies yelped, falling down as Reisen slipped and landed on her back. She got up, rubbing her head.

"Ow... That hurt..." Reisen said. She blinked as her eyes widened with shock.

On the ground, with fluff and stuffing scattered all around, lies Ms. Bunny, split in two. Her upper half lied close to Reisen, while the lower half was a bit further away. Reisen stared, only starring, not saying a word, even when the vague sounds of her friends came over to ask her if she is alright. All she can do is crawl over to her torn up stuffed animal.

She grabbed the first half of Ms. Bunny, along with some of the stuffing that fell out. She moved over to the other half, trying to piece them back together as if it was like glue. But it didn't work. Of course it wouldn't, it's not that easy. But she tried, she tried. Her eyes, starting to water, with a teardrop falling down to the ground, and then another, and another.

She started to cry, sobbing, and sniffing. She held the broken Ms. Bunny close to her, trying her absolute hardest not to break down in the middle of the street. She felt like her younger self once again, alone, cold... with no one to look after her besides herself. She felt like how she used to felt when she abandoned the moon long ago.

Seiran and Youmu looked down at their friend. Seiran was the first to do something, getting down and hugging Reisen, hoping to comfort her and make her feel better. Youmu on the other hand looked behind, seeing Tewi standing there, looking with shock. Tewi noticed Youmu's gaze.

"...Are you happy Tewi-san?" Youmu asked Tewi. "...Is this what you wanted to see?"

"...I...It's just a stuffed animal... Why are you all so-"

Youmu walked up to Tewi, interrupting her by slapping her across the face, causing Tewi to fall to the ground. Tewi looked up, not saying anything as she saw the intimidating look Youmu gave off.

"...I may be furious... But beating you up won't solve anything so there's no point in kicking you where you lie." Youmu said. "...I'll leave the rest up to you and Seiran-san. I have to go home before Yuyuko-sama gets worried."

Youmu walked away shortly after that, leaving the 3 other rabbits on the street while the villagers gather around, wondering what is going on.

"...C'mon... Lets take you home Reisen." Seiran said. She helped Reisen up, Reisen holding desperately on her torn stuffed rabbit as they walk off. "You too Tewi." Seiran told Tewi.

Tewi hesitantly got up, seeing all the prying eyes on her. For once, she felt more guilty than she did before earlier in the day.

The 3 walk down the street, the sun slowly beginning to set as it has reached the evening.

Chapter Text

It was quiet, peaceful. The moon shined through the bamboo, the fireflies flickered and glowed, the crickets chirped, the animals slept. Yet close by was Eientei, home of the rabbits, home of Princess Kaguya Houraisan. It's hallways can stretch to eternity, with no way out. It is a comfortable home, isolated and well-hidden from those who wish to seek it.

Inside one of the rooms, Reisen sat on her bed, holding her knees close to her chest, wrapping her arms around herself, her ears drooping and her eyes staring at nothing. She didn't bother turning off the light, nor did she bother taking her clothes off. She remained like that, where she is, staring, staring still.

Seiran already went home for the day, having stayed with Reisen for an hour. Eirin already went and checked on Reisen, making sure her mentality was alright. But she wouldn't say anything, she was too sad to speak. Eirin knew that there was no hope for that night, insisting on trying again tomorrow, so she left her where she is, in her room, alone.

Eirin walked down the hall, passing by several doors and rooms, before arriving back at the living quarters, where Kaguya and Tewi both were sitting by a table. Kaguya's posture was formal, kneeling next to the table with her arms on her lap, facing Tewi. Tewi on the other hand had an awful posture, leaning her head and elbow over on the table without a care for who may notice. She wish she could leave, go to her room and sleep, but she can't. She can feel the quiet glare of the princess, her eyes unblinking. Eirin moved to sit down by the side of the table, in-between Kaguya and Tewi. She looked at what was on the table: Ms. Bunny, Reisen's stuffed animal, torn in half. Everyone was quiet around Ms. Bunny.

"...Tewi..." Eirin began. "Do you know what this is?" She asked.

Tewi looked at the blue half n half rabbit, not wanting to say anything but does anyways. "...Reisen's stuffed rabbit." She mumbled.

"Louder."

"Reisen's stuffed rabbit!" Tewi said in a louder voice. "I know!"

"...And do you know what you did with Udonge's rabbit?"

"...I sold it to Rinnosuke for money..." Tewi said.

"And do you know what happened after?"

"Sakuya bought it for her master... Then got thrown into the stratosphere by her younger sister... Then was found by Youmu... Then was stolen by Marisa... Then was stolen again by Yukari... Who gave it to Reimu... Which ended up in the hands of the 3 fairies of light..." Tewi said.

"And?"

"...And is now torn up in this state..." Tewi said. She looked at the bunny's state. "What else do you want me to say?"

"...First of all, you could apologize for having it lead up to this." Kaguya said. "Secondly, you need to make it up to Inaba somehow."

"...It's just a rabbit..." Tewi said. "Why is everyone so obsessed with a stupid stuffed animal..."

Eirin took a moment to breathe in and out, calming herself quickly before responding once again. "Tewi, why do you think this rabbit is so special to Udonge?"

"...I don't know. Because she likes having a stuffed animal to sleep with?" Tewi said. "Because it was a gift? Because some people are just emotionally attached to objects?"

"Because it made her feel safe." Eirin said.

"Safe? From what?" Tewi said.

"...Sigh...You were there when it happened, don't you remember when Udonge first came here?" Eirin said.

Tewi took a moment to think...

---

"Let go of me!!! I said let go!!!" Reisen's voice shouted. "I don't want to go back!!!"

*crash*

The sound of glass breaking could be heard, along with things being thrown and such. The sound of a girl screaming was also heard inside of the hospital room where the patient, known simply as "Reisen" lied.

"Don't struggle!" Eirin's voice yelled from inside the room. "I just need to take your... blood! So I can test it!"

More thrashing was heard inside, as some of the rabbits huddled up close to the door. Banging could be heard, and more thrashing. It spooked some of them to where they got a bit further away from the door, while those that were more curious only got closer.

"Wow... Eirin is having trouble in there." One rabbit said.

"Trouble trouble." Another rabbit said.

"I wonder if that alien rabbit is okay in the head."

"Maybe maybe. Is she is she?"

"What's going on over here?" A different voice said.

The rabbits turned their heads, seeing Tewi, walking up to them as a few scurried off while some remained.

"Tewi-sama! Tewi-sama!!!" One of the rabbits said." Eirin brought a new patient in! They looked like us but they were not!"

"Not not!!!" Another one of the rabbits spoke. "They were big and tall, and their ears weren't fluffy fluffy! They looked all thin and wounded wounded wounded!!!"

"A rabbit? But not like us?" Tewi asked. "...Strange... Maybe I should go check just in-"

The door smashed open, as the sight of a tall girl with purple hair and long rabbit ears had broke through the door, startling all the rabbits as they all ran off. Tewi was the one who remained, standing there, still a bit surprised as the girl stood, looking to be at most 50 cm taller than Tewi herself. She was wearing a hospital gown, covered in bandages from head to toe. One of her eyes was covered, the other glowed brightly, shaking even, like an unstable magnet.

"...Oh..." Tewi said. "So you're-"

"Hey! Get back here!!!" Eirin's voice said, startling Reisen as she quickly grabbed Tewi by the hand.

"Hey, where are you taking me!" Tewi said, trying to free herself from the grip of the moon rabbit, but she had a very strong grip, really strong even. Reisen started running down the hall.

"Hey!!! You're crushing my hand!!! Let go of me!!!" Tewi said.

Reisen ignored Tewi, too focused on running as fast as her injured body would allow her.

"Hey!!! Hey!!!!!" Eirin's voice stated from behind. She ran fast, but no match for Reisen's speed. She pulled out her bow and arrow, aiming while running, trying to find a mark without risking hitting either of them. She pulled the shot, releasing the arrow while it flew past the two, before glowing and stopping right in front of them, casting a barrier that stopped Reisen on her tracks.

Reisen looked at the glowing barrier, trying to touch it but recieving a small shock from it. She turned around, seeing Eirin standing there, holding the bow, walking forward slowly. Reisen started getting desperate, pulling Tewi up to her height, holding her hand out and pressing her finger at Tewi's head.

"G-Get back!!!" Reisen shouted. "Get back or I'll shoot!!!"

"Eh? Shoot!?" Tewi said. "But you don't even have a weapon..."

Reisen's finger started glowing a red orb, Tewi realizing what Reisen meant. "N-Nevermind... You do have a weapon..."

"...C'mon..." Eirin said. "You don't want to hurt anyone now."

"I won't go back!!!" Reisen shouted. "I won't go back to the moon!!! I won't I won't I won't!!! You can't make me!!!"

"I'm not going to send you back to the moon..." Eirin said. "I just want to help."

"LIAR!!! YOU LUNARIANS ARE THE SAME SELFISH WARMONGERS THAT MADE ALL OF US SLAVES TO YOUR CONFLICTS!!!" Reisen pressed her finger right at Tewi's head. "Please... Leave me alone! I just want to be left alone!!!"

"...I know how you feel. I was in a similar situation when Princess was taken away from me. Please, just let her go and we can talk about-"

"NO!!! You're going to try and lure me into a trap! Then you'll send me back where they'll perform a public execution isn't that right!!!" Reisen said. "I won't go back... I won't!!! I-"

Reisen felt a needle go into her leg, she looks down seeing that the needle came from Tewi. Her legs gave in, and her knees fell. She collapsed to the floor, unable to move, unable to speak. Her eye stopped glowing as it closed soundly. Tewi was able to breathe once again, having found the predicament to be exhilarating.

"Whew... Geez, what the hell wat that?" Tewi said. "You never told me we had a literal Lunatic for a patient! Good thing us rabbits are allowed to carry sedatives on us."

"Yes... Now can you help bring her back to her room so I can finish getting a blood sample..." Eirin said, walking over.

"Still, what happened to her that caused this to begin with?" Tewi asked, lifting up Reisen's body as she starts carrying her together with Eirin. "And what was that about Lunarians being warmongers?"

"It's nothing Tewi..." Eirin said.

---

"Ohhh, yeah now I remember... God I forgot how crazy it was dealing with her and her outbursts... I think she tried hypnotizing me once with her eyes." Tewi said, having recalled that night.

"That is correct Tewi..." Eirin said. "...She was very much a struggle taking care of for the first few weeks... But thankfully, Princess was able to change that by giving her the blue rabbit, which was named Ms. Bunny."

"...Wait, you were the one?" Tewi asked Kaguya, recieving a nod and a smile from the princess.

"That's correct... When Inaba first arrived, and I saw how broken she was, I started staying up day and night, crafting the nice blue rabbit so she would feel like she had a friend." Kaguya said. "It was a simple hobby I had when I wasn't brutalizing Mokou regularly."

"And after that Udonge had shown exponential improvements in her mental health. I was astounded when I was able to give her medicine without her trying to bite my hand off." Eirin said.

"...Okay then... So the rabbit made her mental state stable..." Tewi said. "...But what do you mean by safe though?"

"...You still don't get it..." Kaguya said. "...Could you imagine yourself in Inaba's shoes... Having to flee a war you don't want to fight... Landing stranded in a forest you don't recognize, all battered up and cold... Could you imagine being alone in a place unfamiliar, with no one you could trust... Unsure if you'll be able to survive by yourself?"

"...You're asking me... The White Hare of Inaba if I ever went through something tragic..." Tewi said with a hint of sarcasm.

"...Your situation was different from Inaba's... That's why Ms. Bunny was important... Because it showed her she didn't need to keep her guard up all night long. She didn't need to shiver when a hand is reaching out to her, or when someone who wishes to help approaches... She can feel safe and sound, because she had a friend she could rely on." Kaguya said. "How would you feel if all the rabbits that follow you weren't there, or me and Eirin... How would you feel if you had no one you could count on, or talk to, or find comfort from?"

"...I...I would feel lost." Tewi said.

"Good." Kaguya said. "Now do you understand the importance of Ms. Bunny?"

Tewi looked at the torn up Ms. Bunny once again, before looking at Kaguya, who kept a humble smile. "...Yeah..."

"...I'm glad that you understand Inaba." Kaguya said.

The night continued onward. Eirin went and decide to check on Reisen again, seeing if she is asleep by now. She walked down the hall again, reaching the door labeled "Reisen Udongein Inaba". She opened it, where she sees Reisen had already fallen asleep, holding her pillow next to her instead of using it for her head. She looks peaceful, but the sight of tear stains made it clear she didn't rest easily.

Eirin walked over, getting closer to Reisen's bed. She reached down with her hand, gently patting the purple-haired moon rabbit's head softly. Before getting back up, and turning off the light that was left on. She closed the door behind her and walked down the hall once again.

Elsewhere in the mansion of Eientei, there was another room that was on, where Kaguya and Tewi resided in. Inside it was a relatively small room, with only a small round table and a drawer full of various strings and fabrics. It was a room for sewing and knitting things. Kaguya likes to use it at times for when she wants to craft something. Like clothes for the other rabbits, or nice little sock puppets.

Tewi was holding a needle and some string, the room only lit up with a light swinging above. She was trying to learn how to thread the needle with the help of Kaguya. Some blue string was sitting on the table, next to the torn in half Ms. Bunny. She was trying to be careful with the string, making sure she can get it through the needle precisely, but it's much harder than it looks. At least she has the Princess cheering her on.

And then hours passed, it was the next day. The morning was quiet and everyone started waking up, including Reisen. Reisen's eyes opened slowly, raising her head and realizing that she was hugging her pillow last night. Her eyes blinked and looked around the blank room she resided in. All she saw was the door and the desk that was on the opposite wall of where she was. She looked around her own bed, searching a little before remembering what had happened yesterday. She felt a little depressed. She was hoping that everything that happened yesterday was nothing more than a dream, something she could only recall and that be it. Though she could just spend her entire day moping in her room, she knew that her master would get angry if she doesn't arrive at her office soon. So, while wearing the clothes she slept in last night, she made her way out of the door, down the hallways, and onto the room where Eirin's office was.

She slid the door open, seeing her master already by her desk, having written something down for the day before looking up at the moon rabbit. She had a lab coat on, and a pair of reading glasses, even though she doesn't really need them she still wears them sometimes. "Oh, Udonge. Good morning." Eirin said. "You're here earlier than I expected."

"Yeah... So do we have any new deliveries for today?" Reisen asked in a bit of a monotone.

"Actually I decided to close the clinic for today, so there aren't any deliveries until tomorrow." Eirin said.

"Tomorrow?" Is there a reason?" Reisen asked, maintaining the same exact tone.

"Not really. I just figured that we all could use a bit of a break after what happened recently." Eirin said.

"...Oh..." Reisen's ears drooped down once again. "...I think I'll just go back to my room then."

"You could also use a shower Udonge. You haven't had one for a few days." Eirin said.

"...Yeah, a shower be nice." Reisen said. She walked out of the door, closing it behind her as she went down the hall back to her room, intending on taking a shower. But along the way, she saw Kaguya approach her.

"Ah, Inaba... I need you to come with me for a moment." Kaguya said.

"...Can't it wait Princess? I'm not really in the mood to really do anything, I apologize." Reisen said.

"Nuh-uh, you're coming with me~" Kaguya said, grabbing the tall rabbit's hand and pulling her along. Reisen didn't even bother fighting back or trying to get away, instead tagging along not caring about where the Princess is leading her. The duo walked further down the hall, taking a left turn, down another hall until arriving at a much smaller room. The two walked inside, revealing it to be the knitting room.

Reisen walked inside, seeing that Tewi was in there also. She had bandages on her fingers and her eyes looked very tired. Her hair was a bit of a mess also. She looked up at Reisen, seeing that she had a somber look.

"Tewi..." Reisen said, her voice feeling a little bit angry but not enough to do anything about it.

"Hey Reisen..." Tewi said in a sleepy tone. "...I made you something..."

Tewi took the thing she was hiding behind her, moving it around and presenting it to Reisen. Her eyes widened, staring down at what Tewi was holding.

It was Ms. Bunny, whole again, though there was a clear indication of the area where she was torn at.

"...Ms. Bunny..." Reisen said. "...Y...You fixed her?"

Tewi stood up from the table, walking over to Reisen. "...I'm sorry... For what I did..." Tewi began. "...It was honestly stupid of me to take your stuffed animal without asking... I didn't know it meant so much to you. I did not know... I spent all night trying to fix her to the best of my ability... And this is as far as I got." She held the rabbit closer in front of Reisen. "...I'm not expecting forgiveness for what I have done... But... Don't hate me okay?" She asked.

Reisen looked at Tewi, her eyes watering as she took the blue stitched rabbit from the white hare's hands, hugging Ms. Bunny, then pulling Tewi in also for the hug. "...I forgive you... Thank you... Thank you thank you thank you!!!" Reisen said, letting tears roll down her face. Tewi wasn't expecting the hug to arrive, she was expecting a negative response, or even another slap. But a hug was still nice, as she returned one back to Reisen, with a smile.

"...sniff sniff." Tewi sniffed Reisen's outfit. "...Bleh!!! You need a shower!!!" Tewi said. "You smell like sweat and tears!!!" She said, trying to pull away from Reisen.

"That I do Tewi... And you're gonna appreciate it!!!" She said, pulling Tewi up to her shirt. "Take it alllll in... Let your nostrils inhale the stuff like they're roses on a sunny day..." She said with a mischievous smile on her face.

Tewi tried to pull away, but the strength of the moon rabbit was far stronger than hers, she couldn't do anything about it. "I need air... aiiiiir!!!" Tewi pleaded.

Kaguya, seeing the two already getting along giggled to herself. "My, maybe you should take a bath together, isn't that a fond idea?"

"Oh, that's a good idea Princess." Reisen said letting go of Tewi. Tewi breathed in a dramatic fashion, gasping like she hadn't took a breath in minutes. "Sweet mercy on this poor cute little bunny that is me!"

"C'mon Inaba, lets go take a bath." Kaguya said. "I could use one myself honestly."

"...Oh of course... Say, is Ms. Bunny also going to take a bath with us?" Tewi said.

"What? No of course not! Ms. Bunny hates taking baths! She prefers staying dry thank you very much." Reisen said, holding Ms. Bunny close to her chest.

"Really? I think Ms. Bunny could use a bath herself. She probably hasn't had one her whole life in fact." Kaguya said.

"No! She refuses!" Reisen said.

"C'mon, don't speak for Ms. Bunny... I would love a bath! I want to feel all nice and clean." Tewi said, speaking in a different voice, pretending to be Ms. Bunny.

"Yeah, I love to bathe with Inaba and Princess. C'mon, pretty please?" Kaguya said, doing the same thing Tewi is doing.

"...Fine... but you better clean yourself up young lady!" Reisen told Ms. Bunny, holding her in front of her. "And make sure you get all the important spots. Especially the ears, they're the most important of them all!!!" She said, making Ms. Bunny give her a salute.

The 3 laughed, walking down the hall as Eirin watched from out of her office, smiling.

"...Honestly Princess... Always with you and rabbits... Always with you and rabbits you know 'Exactly' What to do." Eirin said.
