Dino Jurassic Squad: Domination

Summary:

Six years after the Isla Muerta incident and the dinosaurs of the island are now forcibly relocated into a new enivoremnt by a mysterious Genetics company from InGen's past who's also gone out of their way to clone some of their own species. What will happen once the animals from Muerta interact with the ones that this company has cloned?

Chapter Text

"A year after the death of famous genetic scientist, Charlotte Lockwood. InGen's head scientist, Dr. Henry Wu has come forward and confirmed that there is a third island with dinosaurs on it." A female news reporter said as footage from a helicopter of a small group of Brachiosaurus lumbered through the burned remains of a forest on the island unknown as Isla Muerta.

"The island itself is in no physical condition to support any sort of wildlife, past or present at the moment. As a massive wildfire has managed to burn away majority of the plant life." The new reporter said. "Now in Washington, activists are protesting for the Government to relocate the dinosaurs off the island before they all die off."

Footage then played of activists holding protesting in the streets front of the state capitol.

"Now the US senate committee is holding a debate on the important question. Should Jurassic world relocate the dinosaurs on Muerta or let their rivals, BioSyn genetics be responsible?" The reporter asked.

--US capitol court room--

Ian Malcolm sat in the court room. He was the deciding factor on whether InGen or BioSyn should relocate the dinosaurs of Muerta. "I believe BioSyn should be responsible for the relocation." Ian said and there was an uproar on the InGen on the side of the court room.

"Silence, please." Senator Sherwood spoke allowing Dr. Malcolm to speak.

"InGen and Jurassic world will attempt to cage and control these animals, which have lived on the island for years since the incident without fences. And when they break out, and they will. They will cause massive amounts of chaos in the park. That will make the Jurassic park and San Diego incidents look like minuscule." Malcolm continued.

The Senators then spoke amongst each other before finally reaching a conclusion.

"It has been decided." Senator Sherwood spoke.

Ian held his breath, hoping that it wasn't InGen that was responsible for relocating the dinosaurs.

"BioSyn will be responsible for relocating the dinosaurs." Senator Sherwood said and Ian breathed a sigh of relief.

--Biosyn Headquarters, Dolomite mountain range, two days later--

The headquarters for Biosyn was in a buzz. Everyone was getting ready for the operation to relocate the dinosaurs from Isla Muerta to their sanctuary. "Everything's going to plan, sir." A man said.

"Excellent, we shall depart for the island in a few hours." Another man said, this was Lewis Dodgson.

This other man was Richard Levine. One of BioSyn's paleontologists.

"Lewis, what are you doing?" Richard asked as Lewis grabbed a beige coloured travel backpack and rolled up the cuffs of his sleeves.

"I'm going with you." Lewis said simply.

"And let me guess, no ones going to stop you? Are they?" Richard asked letting out a sigh.

"Yep." Lewis answered as he walked past Richard. "And I'm guessing your coming with me as well?"

"Yeah, just so you don't get yourself killed by a Tyrannosaurus or something." Richard said.

Lewis chuckled at his old friend as they approached the garage.

Richard noticed the massive amounts of cages that sat inside the garage.

"Just how many Dinosaurs are we taking off that island?" Richard asked as he noticed some cages were small enough to hold a Microceratus while others were big enough to hold Tyrannosaurus or Brachiosaurus.

"All of them." Lewis answered.

Richard looked at Lewis with a surprised look.

"How are we going to get them here?" Richard asked.

"Cargo planes and helicopters." Lewis said simply.

"Makes sense." Richard mumbled. "Let's go relocate some dinosaurs."

The two climbed into the hyper loop as the cages were loaded onto semi trucks which drove over to the helipad

--Biosyn landing strip, minutes later--

Richard looked over at the ranger teams which were loading their tranquilizer rifles and net guns whilst the cages were loaded onto the many cargo planes that sat on the landing strip.

Richard and Lewis then climbed into one of the transport helicopters along side two rangers as it then lifted off the landing strip and flew off towards the island.

--Southern Muerta, a few hours later--

Richard glanced out the window of the helicopter as he looked down at the burnt forest that showed little signs of ever regrowing.

“It’s worse then I thought.” Richard murmured as he noticed the skeleton of a deceased Ouranosaurus lay on the ground.

“All the more reason to get all the dinosaurs off this hell hole.” Lewis said. “We’ll land at the genetics compound.”

The pilot nodded to Lewis and then proceeded to fly the helicopter over to the compound.

Chapter Text

The moment the helicopter landed down on the old helipad Richard noticed something was up.

Almost all of the trees were burnt or were barely alive. The whole Genetics compound had fallen into ruin.

However most importantly he noticed the skeleton of a deceased theropod.

"What is that?" Lewis asked.

"Not sure." Richard said as he approached the skeleton.

He noticed that it was a cross between a Tyrannosaurus Rex and Giganotosaurus.

"It's a cross between a Giganotosaurus and Tyrannosaurus." He said as he looked back at Dodgson.

"They made a hybrid of two dinosaurs? That's unnatural and insane." Lewis said.

"We should check the surrounding area and see if there's any dinosaurs nearby." Richard suggested as he glanced over at a tree that had fallen over.

"Agreed." Lewis said. "But we should maybe check out the genetics lab."

Richard nodded and two rangers with their tranquilizer rifles loaded walked up too them.

The four then walked over to the genetics lab and after forcing the door open they entered.

However a theropod foot stomped down into the dirt close to the door.

Inside the four split up to cover more ground.

Lewis shone his flashlight around as he walked up to a desk and noticed a few files that were inside plastic sheets to protect the sheets of paper from the elements.

"What were you guys up to on this island?" Lewis asked himself as he read the first file.

His eyes went wide as he read the first file.

"They were experimenting on fusing human and dinosaur DNA." Lewis murmured to himself.

He looked at every single file and he realized that some of them died.

"I wonder if BioSyn could perfect this "Primal Nucleic Acid" so that people can become dinosaurs if they want and return to their human forms as well." Lewis said and he stuffed the files into his bag.

--Dinosaur incubation rooms--

Richard looked at each of the many incubators that lined the room.

"So they were breaking the Gene guard act." Richard muttered to himself. "Classic InGen."

He noticed the incubators titled "Pachyrhinosaurus", "Secernosaurus", "Einiosaurus", and "Ankylosaurus" along with many others.

Richard however noticed that there was no incubators that were titled "Tyrannosaurus" or "Velociraptor".

"Weird, there was footage of a Tyrannosaurus that emerged yet I don't see any incubators that would've held eggs of it's species." Richard said. "And considering how dangerous Velociraptors are. I don't think they'd risk cloning more."

However just then Richard heard something clatter to the floor a good distance away from him.

Richard looked to see what made the noise but couldn't see anything.

He then left the room however just then he heard the blood curdling scream of one of the rangers. Richard then rushed over too the man but all he came across was his mangled corpse.

“Lewis. There’s something in here.” Richard said into his radio.

“What do you mean?” Lewis asked.

“Something killed one of the rangers.” Richard said.

"Go check on the other guy and make sure he's alright." Lewis' voice spoke over the radio,

"Copy that." Richard said as he took one final look at the mangled corpse of the ranger and then continued on walking.

However he heard something walking slowly along the metal floor behind him. It sounded heavy.

Richard looked over his shoulder but didn't see anything.

He continued to walk until he came across the other ranger.

"We need to get out of here." The ranger said as Richard noticed the ranger was clutching his stump of a right arm.

"What did this too you?" Richard asked him.

The man was about to speak however just then something rushed out from the shadows and snatched up the man in it's jaws and kept running.

Richard watched as the tail of the beast disappeared into another hallway.

Richard against his better judgement then looked into the hallway with his flashlight.

Were the light shone on a fully grown Carnotaurus which was dark green with lighter green stripes and a creamy underbelly.

Which looked over at him, blood around it's mouth.

Richard stepped backwards as the Carnotaurus roared at him and then charged at him like a bull.

Chapter 3: Chase

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Richard backed away from the Carnotaurus as it approached him slowly and threateningly.

He then took off running as the twelve foot Theropod chased after him. Richard then made a sharp right turn and as the Carnotaurus was also turning to round the corner it slammed it's body into the wall.

The Theropod snarled in anger and continued to chase Richard down the hallway. Richard could hear it's powerful feet against the metal.

Richard noticed one of the ranger's tranquilizer rifle lying on the floor.

He managed to grab it and he stopped running to aim it at the charging Carnotaurus.

The Theropod skidded to a halt as it looked at the tranquilizer rifle in Richard’s hands.

“Remember this don’t Ya?” Richard asked as he aimed the tranquilizer rifle at the Carnotaurus’ face.

The Carnotaurus stepped back away from Richard as the paleontologist then pressed down the trigger. However, nothing happened, and Richard then looked at the tranquilizer rifle in confusion.

He then realized that the clip was empty.

"Seriously?" Richard asked the gun as the Carnotaurus then snarled at him and started to stomp towards him. Richard then tossed the tranquilizer rifle aside and then started to run from the Carnotaurus as fast as he could.

Richard then ran past the incubators and out of the building with the Carnotaurus charging after him and then smashing through the entrance after Richard was out of the building.

The Carnotaurus then proceeded to corner Richard, and it then roars at him and charges forward.

Only for a massive blur to come out of nowhere and pushed the Carnotaurus over. The blur materialized into a maroon, red Suchomimus with bright green markings.

Richard watched as the Spinosaurid brought down the Carnotaurus with the horned theropod roaring in pain as it was pushed over by the larger Theropod.

The Suchomimus then grabbed onto the Carnotaurus' head and neck with it's claws and then proceeds to snap the Carnotaurus' neck.

The Suchomimus then looked over at Richard and huffed at him. Richard guessed that the Suchomimus was a female because of the fact it was missing the small quills on it's neck and arms. The suchomimus was also primarily crimson red in colour with green markings across it's body and a yellowish underbelly.

"It's magnificent." Richard murmured as he looked at the Suchomimus. Which looked over at him, blood covering the Theropod's cone shaped teeth.

The Spinosaurid stomped towards him and looked the man dead in the eye, her neon green eyes staring into his brown ones. Richard felt like it was staring into his soul, but he noticed there was something eerily human about the Theropod. The carnivore however, then opened it's jaws and let out a loud roar in Richard's face.

Before then turning away and stomping off.

The man sighed in relief that the Suchomimus didn't kill him. But he was confused on why the Suchomimus didn't drag off the Carnotaurus' corpse as it left.

Just then Dodgson exited the building and looked down at the Carnotaurus' corpse.

"What killed it?" Lewis asked.

"A Suchomimus." Richard answered, walking up to Dodgson. "Snapped it's neck and just left it."

Lewis raised an eyebrow at Richard.

Just then Dodgson's radio buzzed.

"What is it?" He asked speaking into the radio.

"Sir, we found the Tyrannosaurus, over." One of the ranger's voices buzzed over the radio.

"That's good." Dodgson said into the radio. "Send a jeep over to pick us up, over."

Thirty minutes later a jeep pulled up and Lewis and Richard climbed in, leaving the Carnotaurus corpse.

The jeep then started to drive down the overgrown dirt roads before the sound of a dying cow was heard off in the brush. Making the jeep skid to a halt.

"What was that?" A ranger asked.

"That sounded like a cow." Richard said as he then climbed out of the jeep with one of the rangers.

The two then walked through the underbrush until they came to a small clearing.

Where they came face to face with a large Theropod Dinosaur.

It stood at nearly eighteen feet tall and looked to be close to fifty feet long. It was primarily dark grey in colour with multiple black stripes running down it's back to the tip of it's tail and it had blue markings covering it's body with a singular horizontal white stripe running down it's side from just behind it's head to the end of it's tail and it had dark tan underbelly.

It had a pair of head crests on it's brow that went half way down it's head. Lining it's back was a row of triangular shaped spikes, which began at the neck and ran down the end of it's tail with a small hump like sail above it's shoulders and a slightly smaller one above it's hips.

"Acrocanthosaurus." Richard muttered as he looked at the Theropod, which had a dead cow hanging in it's jaws.

"Was that on InGen's list?" The ranger asked.

"No, no it wasn't." Richard said as the Acrocanthosaurus dropped the cow it had in it's jaws and stared at them.

"Run." Richard murmured as the two started to run as the Theropod stomped after them.

Lewis sat in the jeep with the other ranger bored, that was until Richard and the ranger that had accompanied him came running out of the jungle and clamored into the jeep.

"What did you find?" Lewis asked.

"Something not on InGen's list." Richard asked and before Lewis could ask further he heard a thunderous roar from the jungle.

The jeep then sped down the dirt road as then a large Theropod emerged from the forest and started to chase them.

"What is that thing?" Lewis asked as he looked at the carnivore which charged towards them.

"Acrocanthosaurus." Richard answered.

Richard then noticed that the Acrocanthosaurus was managing to keep pace with their jeep.

"How fast are we going?" Richard asked the ranger in the passenger seat.

"thirty seven mph's, why?" The ranger asked.

"Jesus Christ this thing is fast." Richard mumbled as he looked back at the Acrocanthosaurus, which looked to be only three feet behind the jeep.

"Must go faster." Lewis mumbled as the Acrocanthosaurus snapped it's jaws at the jeep, narrowly missing it in the process.

The Acrocanthosaurus then let out another roar as it then started to catch up with the jeep.

Notes:

Guess who's made their appearances again? yep Lilly and Jake have just made their debuts in Domination with Dakota being mentioned. but it looks like Jake doesn't like these humans that have invaded his new home, and he's got a new design and can run pretty fast too.

Chapter 4: The Road

Chapter Text

After the Acrocanthosaurus roared, the ranger driving the jeep slammed his foot down on the gas pedal and sped off as the Acrocanthosaurus still chased them. "Why won't it just give up?!" Richard asked as the Acrocanthosaurus still chased them.

However, he noticed it making a sharp turn and disappearing off into the treeline of whatever was left of the forest.

"I think we lost it." Dodgson said to the rangers.

"Tree!" Richard shouted suddenly.

"What?" Dodgson asked looking at the man only to see a small tree that had been uprooted by something come flying out from in front of them.

The jeep swerved to avoid the sapling as it hit the dirt road.

"Is that thing throwing trees at us now?!" One of the rangers asked as then a hollow log was tossed at the jeep. The driver swerved to avoid it as the log hit the road and shattered into splinters on contact.

The sort of lush tree line suddenly ended as the jeep drove into an area that was affected by the massive forest fire that happened six years ago.

The Acrocanthosaurus then charged out of the forest and smashed through a burnt tree that was at an angle.

The Theropod then charged back onto the road and continued to chase after the jeep. However, Richard then grabbed one of the tranquilizer rifles and started to load a tranquilizer dart into it. However, the Jeep hit a bump in the road and nearly made Richard drop the tranquilizer dart.

But Richard managed to finally load the tranquilizer dart into the rifle. He then aimed it at the Acrocanthosaurus and pulled the trigger.

The dart hit the Megatheropod in the shoulder and the carnivore roared out in pain.

However, it still wouldn't go down so Richard loaded in another tranquilizer dart and fired it. This time hitting the Acrocanthosaurus in the neck region.

Richard then noticed the Acrocanthosaurus was starting to show signs that the tranquilizers were starting to kick in. The Acrocanthosaurus was starting to stumble and struggled to walk.

The Megatheropod then lost it's footing and came crashing to the ground. It's breathing heavy and labored. The carnivore then closed it's eyes and came under the effect of the tranquilizers and passed out.

Richard then climbed out of the jeep and stepped cautiously towards the Acrocanthosaurus. He then patted the Carnivore on the tip of it's snout to see if he could get a reaction. Thankfully he didn't get one.

"Okay, it's out cold." Richard said in relief and the two rangers alongside Dodgson breathed a sigh of relief.

One of the rangers then radioed for a team to come with a truck and transport cage to transport the Acrocanthosaurus to the old landing strip.

When the semi truck and another jeep pulled up, Dodgson and Richard would watch as the large carnivore would be loaded into the cage by the team and jeep and was loaded back onto the truck by a Chinook helicopter. The helicopter then released the cables and then flew off.

With the semi truck then driving off towards the landing strip, with Richard climbing back into the jeep which followed shortly behind the semi truck and other jeep.

After about four hours of driving the team finally arrived at the landing strip, where the first cargo plane was being loaded with some cages having been already loaded inside the cargo hold. One cage held a bull Triceratops, another held an Ouranosaurus while a smaller cage held four Microceratus inside it another cage held a Stegosaurus while the one next to it held it's baby.

"How many planes do you have?" Richard asked Dodgson.

"Well this is one of about ten, plus the helicopters and transport ships." Dodgson said and Richard looked over to see a cage holding a Parasaurolophus being loaded into a chinook helicopter.

"So where is the Acrocanthosaurus going to be held?" Richard asked.

Dodgson just simply pointed over at the cargo plane they were just looking at.

Richard however then noticed the transport cage holding the Tyrannosaurus was being loaded into a separate plane along with the Suchomimus that had unintentionally saved Richard from the Carnotaurus back at the Genetics Compound.

"We should probably get back to headquarters." Richard said and Dodgson gestured for him to lead the way as the two boarded a helicopter.

Which then took off and began to fly back towards the Dolomites.

Chapter Text

When the cargo plane arrived at the landing strip in the Dolomites, Richard climbed out followed shortly by Dodgson.

Followed shortly by the rangers as the loading teams arrived to take the Dinosaurs on board to the medical facility.

“You know, even though I know it’s unconscious. I still get the feeling it’s not.” Richard said to Dodgson as he looked at the Acrocanthosaurus.

“Well it’s not getting out of that cage, even if it did wake up.” Dodgson said.

The Acrocanthosaurus was held in a cage similar to the one the Tyrannosaur Buck was held in back in 1997.

But Richard doubted that it could hold the predator if it tried to break out.

If it was able to rip out and throw trees and logs, then it probably could break out of the cage that held it captive at the moment.

Just then a jeep pulled up to the landing strip and a woman stepped out of the jeep after opening the passenger door.

She wore a dark green button up shirt with a tan vest and she was wearing a pair of blue jeans.

“Seems like I got here just in time.” She said looking at the unconscious and caged Acrocanthosaurus.

"Who's this?" Richard asked Dodgson after looking at the woman.

"Dr. Richard Levine, meet Dr. Kate Walker. She's our resident animal behavior specialist." Dodgson said, introducing the two to each other as he then looked over at the cage holding the Triceratops that was unloaded onto a truck.

"So why do we need her?" Richard asked. "I mean, we've seen how that thing acts."

The man then gestured to the Acrocanthosaurus.

"Well Dr. Levine, these animals do more then just fight and kill everything in sight." Kate said.

"I know, I'm a paleontologist. I've studied these things longer then you have." Richard said rudely, cutting off Kate before she could continue.

Kate shot Richard an offended look but masked it well when Dodgson looked back over at them.

"Kate, I'm sending the Acrocanthosaurus to the medical facility so you can take some blood samples and look at it's health." Dodgson said. "Richard, I want you to go with her."

The two nodded, respecting Dodgson's wishes.

"I need to go speak with the boss." Dodgson said. "Report what you discover to him."

Dodgson then handed Kate his bag. “There’s research inside there you can look at.” He said before leaving.

The two then headed off to the medical facility after climbing into the jeep Kate arrived in just as the second cargo plane arrived.

Once inside Kate took a blood sample from the Acrocanthosaurus and checked it's vitals. The vitals showed that it was still alive and healthy, but just asleep.

The scientist then scanned the Theropods DNA. After a few minutes the DNA results came back.

"Weird." Kate mumbled.

"What is it?" Richard asked as he stared at the many scars that covered the Acrocanthosaurus.

"Well it's says Acrocanthosaurus. But it also lists Human DNA and some unknown chemical that's bonded with it's DNA." Kate said. "And it's also a male."

"So it's a hybrid?" Richard said.

"Basically yes, although the DNA is half and half." Kate answered. "We should be seeing human traits on it's body like hair or soft skin."

Kate then held a machine that detects brain activity up to the Acrocanthosaurus' head.

It showed the same amount of neurons firing as a human being.

"They made it smarter." Kate murmured.

"So they used Human DNA to make this thing smarter?" Richard asked.

However, the Acrocanthosaurus' heart rate started to rise and the beasts eyes suddenly opened and Kate got a good look at them.

They were almost human like and were dark blue in colour.

The two locked eyes momentarily as then the Acrocanthosaurus would then start to break out.

It smashed through the metal bars, standing up to it's full height and let out a thunderous roar at Kate.

She started to back away from the Theropod but tripped and fell flat on her back.

Richard panicked and started to try and contact Dodgson as the Acrocanthosaurus loomed over Kate. Jaws open and ready to lunge down at Kate and kill her.

However, Richard managed to instead play a news report.

"Famous InGen scientist, Charlotte Lockwood has killed in a car crash alongside her husband. However, her body has yet to be found." A news reporter spoke and the Acrocanthosaurus suddenly stopped after it heard the sentence.

The Theropod suddenly stomped over to the screen and looked at it.

Richard looked at the Theropod in confusion as it let out a saddened rumble from it's throat. Richard even saw it shed a tear of sadness from it's eye.

"Do you think he knew her?" Richard asked.

"Judging by the way he's acting? Yes." Kate said.

Just then the Acrocanthosaurus let out a roar, but this one was filled with sadness.

Richard and Kate had to cover their ears because of the roar.

“He’s definitely sad.” Richard said after the carnivore had stopped roaring.

Just then the Acrocanthosaurus stomped off a bit from the two and grabbed a large medical blanket and threw it onto his back and sat down.

Just then the Theropod started to get smaller. Soon a few moments later in the Dinosaur’s place was a young man.

He looked to be in his early twenties.

“So. That Dinosaur can turn into a human, at will?” Richard asked.

“It’s probably because of that chemical that is bonded to his DNA.” Kate said.

“You mean Primal Nucleic Acid.” The man said in a raspy and broken voice, it was clear he didn’t use it for a long time.

“What now?” Kate asked.

“That’s the stuff that allows me and others like me to transform from human to Dinosaur.” The man said.

“Explain more.” Kate said, clearly interested.

“Well, the Primal Nucleic Acid is the stuff that bonds the human and Dinosaur DNA together and also changes the DNA from human to Dinosaur and back.” The man explained.

“Who made it?” Kate asked.

The man didn’t answer.

“Can you at least tell us your name?” Richard asked, finally joining the conversation.

“My name is Jake Olivo.” The man said, trying to sound strong and proud. But he also sounded a bit saddened.

The man then stood up. Shedding the medical blanket as Richard noticed he was wearing a simple dark grey t-shirt and pair of forest green shorts.

Richard also noticed he was quite muscular and he also noticed Kate blushing slightly.

“Now don’t fall head over heels for this guy. You just met him.” Richard said and Kate stared daggers at the man.

“I demand you release me.” Jake said.

“Sorry but we can’t.” Kate said.

She noticed Jake’s hands clench into fists.

“We need to make sure you’re in perfect health.” Kate explained quickly. As not to make the human- Acrocanthosaurus hybrid transform and lash out.

“Fine.” Jake growled. “Just make it quick.”

Kate nodded and started to get to work.

While Richard looked into Dodgson’s back and pulled out the files.

“What in the world?” He asked himself as he looked at the files.

One of which was titled “Human-Dinosaur crossbreed creation set up”.

Notes:

Chapter Text

Richard stared at the file’s title but then looked down at the notes on the paper.

“Hey Kate, you should come look at this.” Richard said.

“In a second.” Kate said as she was checking Jake’s breathing and heart with a stethoscope.

Which checked out to be healthy.

Kate then walked over to Richard after setting the stethoscope down on a table.

“What is it?” She asked.

“Just read this.” Richard said handing Kate the file.

Kate looked at the file.

“Primal Nucleic Acid is injected into the subjects body along with Dinosaur or prehistoric reptile/ mammal DNA.” Kate said reading it out loud. “Then subject must be placed in quarantine tank filled with amniotic fluid to allow transformation to happen. Warning: subject may die during transformation if the body is not physically strong enough to handle it.”

“So this is a guide on how to make those crossbreeds?” Richard asked.

“I guess so.” Kate answered, setting the file down.

“Who wrote the file?” Richard asked.

“Someone named Charlotte Lockwood.” Kate answered.

Richard looked over at Jake as he sat on a chair uncomfortably.

“Jake, did you know Charlotte?” He asked the crossbreed.

“Yeah.” He answered somberly. “We were friends.”

“So you willingly became one of these things because you were friends with the person who made them?” Richard asked.

“Basically.” Jake said, twiddling his thumbs.

“Are you alright?” Kate asked looking at the man as she could notice he looked like he was about to cry.

“Yeah. I’m fine.” Jake said, whipping away his tears with his hand.

“No you’re not.” Kate said. “You look like you’re going to burst out into tears.”

“I said I’m fine!” Jake snapped suddenly, making Richard and Kate back away. “Just release me from here and send me on my way.”

Kate just nodded silently, respecting the crossbreed’s request.

She then opened the doors to the medical facility and Jake walked out after grabbing a nearby bag of cloths and started to transform.

Kate and Richard watched as he transformed into his Dinosaur form and stomped off into the tree line of the forest outside the medical facility.

“We should report this to Dodgson.” Kate murmured.

“You think?” Richard asked with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

Jake meanwhile stomped through the forest. He knew he wasn’t on Muerta because of the trees.

The human-Acrocanthosaurus hybrid then started to walk up a hill were he then stood on the top of it and looked around.

The Theropod then let out a long and sorrow filled roar. Tears rolled down the side of his face.

The Acrocanthosaurus then stomped off to go find a place to sleep as he noticed the sun setting behind the mountains.

He soon found a cave large enough for him to step inside which he then entered and dropped the bag of clothing on the ground.

Jake then sat down inside the cave and rested his head on the cold rocky floor.

He listened to the sound of the forest. Trying to fall asleep.

But he couldn’t. All he think about all that had happened in the past six years while he was left on the Muerta.

“Did my family and friends even care that I had disappeared? What else happened over the years.” Jake asked himself.

After laying silently for about half an hours then raised his head and looked up at the moon.

He let out a soft sigh.

Jake then rested he head on the rocky floor again and closed his eyes, falling asleep soon after.

Meanwhile, Kate and Richard then rushed down towards the directors office.

Barging the door open. While Dodgson was discussing something with BioSyn's CEO, Jeff Rossiter.

"What is the meaning of this?!" Jeff demanded as the two barged into his office.

"We found these in one of the bags." Richard said placing several files covered in a protective plastic sheet.

Jeff then looked at the files while Dodgson sat uncomfortably in his chair. However, Jeff seemed to be quite interested in these "Human-Dinosaur crossbreeds" and "Primal Nucleic Acid".

"Well Kate. You always said you had nothing to do here. Well, here's your next task. Recreate this Primal Nucleic Acid and our own Human-Dinosaur crossbreeds." Jeff said.

"But sir, I don't have the equipment to do this. Plus I don't think anyone would willingly sign up to become a shapeshifter." Kate said.

Jeff raised his eyebrow in response and then pushed multiple files titled "IE-001" to "IE-024" towards her.

"These files say otherwise."

"I'll do it." Kate said after a good minute of thought and Jeff smiled softly.

Richard looked at the woman like she was insane but masked it well when when Jeff looked over at him.

"Richard, I want you to give her a list of available species that could be used for splicing the DNA, and make it species that don't have their files listed." Jeff said and Richard nodded silently.

He was against this whole idea of turning people into these freaks but he had to go along with it, he didn't want to lose his job.

"Your both dismissed." Jeff said, dismissing the pair as he then handed the files back to Kate.

The two then walked off back to the lab to begin work.

Notes:

guess who appeared just now, yep it's Jeff Rossiter. He's the head of BioSyn after Bill Steingarten. His only appearance in JP media is being mentioned in the og The Lost World novel. Also looks like BioSyn is making their own Human-Dinosaur Crossbreeds, and it doesn't seem like Richard is to happy about it.

Chapter Text

A few hours later Richard walked into the cold storage room for genetic samples of Dinosaurs Kate could use to creation BioSyn's own Crossbreeds. He also had a list of all Crossbreeds that had been created already along with a separate paper for the ones BioSyn made.

Richard then set the papers down and grabbed a pen from his pocket in his vest and wrote "Possible Crossbreeds" on the top of the blank paper.

He then opened the first sample container and looked at it. There were DNA samples of Parasaurolophus, Brachiosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, Triceratops, and Ankylosaurus that were kept cold. Richard felt the cold air inside the container hit his face and he shivered slightly. After taking note of what species could be used for the experiments he then closed the container so the samples wouldn't be damaged by the heat and then walked back over to the list and wrote down Brachiosaurus, Quetzalcoatlus, and Parasaurolophus on the paper.

The man then walked over to the second sample container and opened it. Inside this container were DNA samples of Dimetrodon, Pyroraptor, Iguanodon, Pachyrhinosaurus, and Carnotaurus. Richard then closed the cold storage container after thinking about which DNA samples could be used for a solid minute.

He then wrote down Dimetrodon and Carnotaurus down on the list before going over to the third and final sample container and opened it. Inside was DNA samples of Giganotosaurus, Atrociraptor, Dreadnoughtus, and Therizinosaurus.

After closing the sample container he walked over to the list and wrote down all of the species. Richard then let out a soft sigh as he then picked up the list and walked out of the cold storage room.

Closing the door behind him as he did so. After he would drop the list off with Kate and then go off to get some sleep.

Meanwhile inside a cave in the sanctuary, Jake's eyes opened as he felt the sunlight hit his face. He raised his head and looked out of the cave and across his new home. He could see a herd of four Brachiosaurus off in the distance, he knew they were from Muerta.

Jake then stood up and stomped off slowly. However, he noticed how dry his mouth was and he changed direction, Turning on a dime.

He then stomped off towards one of the smaller lakes he saw close by last night.

When he walked out of the treeline he noticed a pair of Brachiosaurus sitting in the lake's shallow parts and were feeding on some of the underwater foliage. Jake noticed a small herd of six Triceratops nearby.

They looked different then the ones from Muerta.

They were primarily dark green and light brown with black or white stripes along their spines with white marking on their faces. He was confused on why they looked so different compared to the ones from Muerta.

Which were dark brown with lighter brown underbellies.

There was also a herd of seven Stegosaurus nearby along with a trio of Apatosaurus.

Close by to Jake were some Corythosaurus, which he knew were for sure not from Muerta. There was also some Parasaurolophus and Ouranosaurus nearby.

Jake then just decided to drink his fill and then leave. He dipped his snout into the cool water and started to drink.

He then stopped drinking after he heard the Hadrosaurs making panicked honking sounds and Jake raised his maw from out of the water and glanced over at them.

The herbivores seemed to be frightened by something. It clearly wasn't him.

Jake looked at the Triceratops who were getting defensive of their offspring and the Brachiosaurus stood up from out of the water.

Just then Jake heard some of the brush rustling along with a set of heavy footfalls in the trees close by to him and he turned around to come face to face with a Tyrannosaurus Rex as it emerged from the forest.

Jake then looked at the Theropod and then let out a soft growl. 'Dakota?' He asked looking at the Tyrannosaurus.

The Tyrannosaurus however only snarled at him in response and he noticed it wasn't Dakota at all.

It was a darkish green in colour with black stripes along it's spine with small yellow markings also along it.

On the Tyrannosaur's muzzle there was what looked like some scarring from a previous fight.

The Rex snarled softly at Jake as the two locked eyes. Jake however made the smart decision and backed off, he didn't feel like getting into a fight and possibly killed by the Tyrannosaur's bone crushing bite or getting into a fight at all.

As Jake walked away slowly he realized something. That was the same Tyrannosaurus as the one from the San Diego incident in 1997. But it was from Sorna, what was it doing here?

However, Jake's mind started to drift over towards Charlotte's Daspletosaurus form. Jake then looked at the ground and let out a saddened huff.

But he then continued to walk as he headed back towards his cave.

When he walked into it he then sat down and layed his head down and closed his eyes. However, he was woken up by someone saying his name.

'Jake?' A familiar female voice asked.

The Human-Acrocanthosaurus Crossbreed opened his eyes to see Dakota standing in the entrance of the cave.

'Hey Dakota.' Jake said with a somber tone in his voice.

'Something wrong?' Dakota asked, concerned for her friend.

'It's nothing.' Jake said.

'You don't sound okay.' Dakota said.

'I said I'm fine!' Jake snapped and Dakota flinched in response. 'Sorry.'

'I'll just give you some alone time and come back later.' Dakota said as she then turned around and stomped off.

Jake just let out a soft huff and he went back to sleep. Charlotte's death was impacting him harder then he thought. Right now he just wanted to sleep and be left alone.

Meanwhile a few hours later Richard walked into Kate's laboratory to see multiple test tubes filled with some orange liquid sitting on a table.

"What on earth is that?" He asked looking at the test tubes.

"Oh those?" Kate asked, looking at the test tubes. "Just the first few batches of our own Primal Nucleic Acid. It's more stable then the stuff made by InGen."

"So you basically made it better?" Richard asked.

"basically yes." Kate answered.

"Well did you look at the list I gave you?" Richard asked.

"Yes, Richard." Kate answered sarcastically. "The DNA samples are in the cold storage unit over there."

She then pointed at a small container similar to the ones in the cold storage room.

"Great, so we just need to get some volunteers." Richard said.

"We need to mix the samples with the PNA first." Kate said. "Since your here you can do that for me."

Richard let out a soft groan but then went over to the cold storage to start mixing the samples with the PNA.

Notes:

If your confused why Crossbreeds are speaking with '(insert text here)' rather then "(insert text here)" it's because I wanted to add some difference between a human speaks and when a Crossbreed speaks. But this will only apply when a Crossbreed is in Dinosaur form, and not human form.

Also looks like BioSyn now has some Sorna animals and Atrociraptor DNA samples.

Chapter Text

Richard started off with mixing the Atrociraptor DNA with the first Primal Nucleic Acid tube. he gently poured the blood into the test tube filled with the orange chemical, and watched the two mix together.

"I know who our prototype first test subject will be." Kate said from her table.

"And who would that be?" Richard asked.

'My daughter, Jeannie." Kate said.

"Are you crazy!?!" Richard nearly shouted, making Kate jump slightly in her seat.

"She agreed to it." Kate said. "Besides, she always talked about wanting to be a Dinosaur."

"I think she meant for Halloween, Kate." Richard grumbled. "But whatever. Just don't expect me to be the one turning her into some science project."

Kate nodded, respecting Richard's wishes and she called her daughter on her cellphone.

A few minutes Kate's twelve year old daughter walked into the laboratory and Kate pulled a chair next to her chair.

"Is it going to hurt?" Jeannie asked.

"For a moment, honey." Kate said, trying to comfort her daughter. "It's like a vaccination."

Richard meanwhile rolled his eyes as Kate put a needle into the mixture and sucked some of it out.

She then rubbed some rubbing alcohol on her shoulder. "Just relax." Kate said and Jeannie did as her mother instructed. Kate then injected the needle into Jeannie's shoulder and the girl winced in pain slightly.

Kate then injected the mixture into Jeannie's body and Kate removed the needle and applied a band aid over the place Kate injected Jeannie.

Richard waited for the experiment to go wrong and Jeannie to go into cardiac arrest or something.

Instead Jeannie yelled out in pain and clutched her stomach. Richard could see her transforming already. He could hear her bones popping and transforming along with the rest of her body as Jeannie was groaning in pain the entire time.

Kate actually stepped back in fear as the transformation was finalized a few moments later. Standing in Jeannie's place was a nearly six foot tall Atrociraptor with dark grey body with orangish red stripes running down it's spine with a green underbelly.

"Jeannie? You okay sweetie?" Kate asked. She had no idea how her daughter would react to the transformation.

The former human then opened her eyes and looked at her mother before taking a stance like a raptor would.

The raptor looked down at her new three fingered clawed hands and she nodded slowly.

She then looked over at the doors leading out into the sanctuary.

"Do you want to go outside?" Kate asked.

Jeannie just nodded in response and Kate opened the doors and Jeannie started to walk towards the open door. Her first few steps were shaky and she nearly lost balance but she managed to get the hang of it.

"Just be back here before sundown." Kate said sternly.

The Human-Atrociraptor Crossbreed then nodded and then bolted off into the sanctuary.

"Since that worked out swell, who are we transforming next?" Richard asked.

Jeannie meanwhile ran through the forest, avoiding rocks and trees as she did so.

However, she then suddenly skidded to a halt as she smelled something. It didn't smell bad, but it didn't smell pleasant either.

Jeannie watched as then a Tyrannosaurus stepped out of the forest in front of her. It was bluish green in colour with a creamy underbelly with some maroon stripes running down it's neck and back. It also had some minor scarring on it's body.

'What are you?' The Tyrannosaurus suddenly asked her in a female voice.

'I'm a Human-Dinosaur hybrid.' Jeannie said with pride.

'Sure you are kid.' The Tyrannosaurus said. 'I haven't seen you around ever.'

'What?' Jeannie asked.

'Name's Dakota. Human-Dinosaur crossbreed, one of the original fifteen.' The Tyrannosaurus said.

'I'm Jeannie.' Jeannie said in response.

'Well Jeannie, you sound awfully young to be a crossbreed. How old are you?' Dakota asked, noticing how young Jeannie's voice sounded.

'Twelve.' Jeannie said.

'Who made you?' Dakota asked.

'My mom.' Jeannie answered.

'Well can you take me to your mom? I would like to have a word with her.' Dakota said.

'Sure!' Jeannie said as she then motioned for Dakota to follow her.

The two Theropods then walked back to the laboratory, with Jeannie in the lead.

'Hey, honey. What are you doing back so soon?" Kate asked when Jeannie walked in a few minutes later.

Just then Jeannie looked over her shoulder into the forest and let out a chirp like sound.

Kate then heard the signature sound of a Megatheropod walking towards them. Kate then watched as a fully grown Tyrannosaurus Rex walked out of the forest and stared down at her.

The Tyrannosaurus let out a low growl from it's mouth and Kate remained absolutely still.

'I can still see you.' Dakota growled softly, however she knew Jeannie's mother didn't understand her.

However, it seemed that Kate got the hint and backed away slowly from the Tyrannosaurus until she tripped and fell backwards onto the floor. The Tyrannosaurus then loomed over her before then letting out a short and threatening roar right above Kate's face.

After that the Tyrannosaurus just simply turned around and started to walk away from the lab.

Disappearing into the treeline.

"So who's going to be the first test subject?" Richard asked.

"A man named "Daniel Scourge." Kate said. "He should he here shortly."

Kate then looked at Jeannie who was fixed on the the place the Tyrannosaurus disappeared off to. But then the doors to Kate's lab opened.

"Let's get this over with." A twenty nine year old man said as he walked in and then sat down on a chair.

"Let's just begin, Daniel." Kate said as she reached for the Brachiosaurus mixture.

"Giganotosaurus." Daniel said suddenly. "And just call me Scourge."

Kate just nodded, understanding his request as she grabbed the Giganotosaurus and PNA mixture and after grabbing a needle she cleaned his shoulder up and she then injected the mixture into Daniel.

Moments later Daniel started to transform and two minutes later in Daniel or Scourge's place as an eighteen point five foot tall Giganotosaurus. Richard noticed how close he looked to Jake, but he could see some differences.

Scourge had spines running down his neck to his hip region, were a collection of spines abruptly arose and then lowered and continued to the end of his tail. Scourge was dark brownish and greyish brown with black markings on his face that turned into tiger like stripes down his back.

Richard also noticed the pair of large crests that emerged on the top of his brow and went half way down his face, but his face looked still vaguely looked like the animal from the fossil record. Richard also guessed that Scourge had uneven and more crocodilian like teeth and Richard guessed that Scourge was fifty two or fifty three feet long and probably nearly ten tons.

If Richard wasn't a paleontologist he would've assumed that Scourge was an Acrocanthosaurus or something. But then again, Jake wasn't a picture perfect copy of the fossil record Acrocanthosaurus either.

Richard however noticed Scourge suddenly start to smirk as he suddenly swung his tail at Kate and Richard tackled her down as Scourge's tail whooshed overhead. Jeannie ran at Scourge but the Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed smacked her away with his tail.

Sending Jeannie flying into the wall, and she screeched in pain and fell to the floor.

Scourge then stomped off into the forest.

"We need to stop him." Richard said.

"With what? Besides, Jake or that Tyrannosaurus can take care of him." Kate said as she grabbed a blanket and gave it to Jeannie as she transformed back and she covered herself up.

"Her name is Dakota." Jeannie said.

'Whos name?" Kate asked her daughter.

"The T-Rex's. She's like me." Jeannie said.

Kate then looked over at Richard and said. "See? They can take care of him."

Richard just facepalmed as Kate gave her daughter a change of clothes.

"Besides we need to focus on finishing up with the Crossbreeds." Kate added on.

Richard just let out a silent groan of annoyance and he looked out into the forest. He hoped that Jake would deal with Scourge before he did any damage to the sanctuary.

Notes:

If you didn't tell already. Jeannie Walker is supposed to be a reference to Jeannie the Troodon from Jurassic World: Live Tour, and Jake's nemesis, Scourge has appeared finally.

Chapter 9: Duel

Chapter Text

Dakota stomped through the forest, she heard birds chirping in the trees above her. Everything was peaceful, she even saw some Microceratus running through the underbrush. Dakota then walked up to one of the lakes.

She could see a pair of Mamenchisaurus grazing on the tops of some trees with a group of three Edmontosaurus and ten Secernosaurus grazing nearby. Dakota then noticed a pair of Triceratops fighting for dominance while the other four members of the herd were watching.

A pair of Euplocephalus were drinking with four Einiosaurus nearby. A herd of six Stegosaurus were nearby to the Ceratopsians, grazing or laying down in the shade. there was even a lone Carnotaurus which was feasting on the corpse of a dead deer.

Just then a powerful roar echoed across the clearing around the lake, drawing all of the Dinosaurs attention towards the spot it came from.

Dakota then watched as a the largest carnivore she'd ever seen walk out of the forest. it was dark brown and greyish green with black markings on it's face and black stripes running down it's body. It had spines on it's back going down to the end of it's tail with a large collection above it's hip region.

It almost looked like Jake. but Dakota knew for certain that this wasn't him.

The carnivore snarled at Dakota and she growled back at it.

'Who are you?' Dakota demanded.

'I'm like you. But better in every way.' The carnivore growled out in a deep male voice.

Dakota realized she was looking at another Crossbreed, like Jeannie this one was probably made by Jeannie's mother.

The two carnivores stared each other down.

'Now get out of my territory.' The Crossbreed growled.

'Last I checked this is my territory.' Dakota answered.

'Not anymore it's not.' The carnivore snarled.

'What even are you?' Dakota asked.

'You can call me Scourge, and I'm a Giganotosaurus.' The Crossbreed said, introducing himself.

'Well, Scourge. If you want my territory your going to have to fight me for it.' Dakota said and she noticed Scourge start to smirk.

'That's exactly what I wanted to hear.' Scourge said and the two started to circle each other.

Scourge and Dakota roared at one another and they charged.

Dakota tried to bite Scourge on the shoulder but he clamped his jaws down on her neck and Dakota growled in pain.

She managed to make Scourge let go by smacking him on the neck with her tail.

Dakota then rammed her head into Scourge's check and started to push him backwards. But the Giganotosaurus Crossbreed slashed her on the neck with his claws making her stop.

She then backed up a bit and then lunged forward at Scourge but he smacked her in the face with his tail. Dakota was stunned for a second but then clamped her jaws down on Scourge's neck.

However, instead of his neck getting crushed by her bite. Dakota only seemed to damage some of his spines and Dakota then realized that Scourge also had osteoderms covering his body. Scourge suddenly then slashed her bottom jaw with his claws.

The Human-Tyrannosaurus Crossbreed roared in pain as Scourge then clamped down on her neck and started to push her backwards until he slammed her into a nearby large tree. Dakota roared in pain as she then forced the tree to break and she fell to the ground after Scourge let go.

Dakota lay defeated on top of the fallen tree and Scourge planted his foot on her side and roared in victory.

'Pathetic.' Scourge said as he then started to walk off and Dakota only groaned in pain in response.

Almost an hour later Dakota heard another pair of footsteps characteristic of a Megatheropod.

'Come back to finish me off?' Dakota asked, presuming whoever was approaching her was Scourge.

'Dakota, what happened to you?' A female voice and Dakota raised her head to see Lilly standing in front of her.

'New Crossbreed named Scourge, Giganotosaurus.' Dakota said weakly. 'Too strong.'

Lilly titled her head to the side in confusion.

'There's more Crossbreeds?' Lilly asked.

Dakota only weakly nodded.

'I'll go get Jake.' Lilly said she then turned around and stomped off towards Jake's den.

Dakota wanted to tell the younger girl about Jake's current condition but she knew it would be better to just rest.

As Lilly walked she got the feeling that she was being followed. At first she shrugged it off as some Compsognathus just following her for some scraps, but she caught a glimpse of a large theropod following her.

Lilly snarled at it just assuming it was the male Tyrannosaur that she had seen around.

She then continued to walk towards Jake's den.

However, Lilly was then cut off by a large Theropod standing in her way. It had blood on it's mouth region.

'Where do you think your going?' The Theropod asked,

'To get my friend.' Lilly said as she then attempted to move around the Theropod but it still moved in her way.

'I'm afraid I can't let you do that.' The theropod said.

Lilly then realized that she was face to face with Scourge and she let out a low crocodilian-like hiss as she then backed away from him.

Scourge then suddenly lashed out and lunged at her, jaws agape.

Lilly responded by strafing to her right and then tried to slash Scourge on the face with her claws. Lilly hit her mark, causing three slash marks to appear on the side of Scourge's face but Scourge then slammed his head into her side.

Sending Lilly tumbling to the ground and onto her side.

Scourge then stomped towards her and pushed her onto her back and was about to bite down on her chest when Lilly suddenly kicked him hard in the neck.

Making Scourge back up a bit.

However, the Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed then proceeded to kick her hard with his foot. Sending Lilly skidding across the ground.

She then stood up and charged toward at Scourge but he dodged her and clamped down on her shoulder.

Lilly screamed in pain as she felt him bite down on her shoulder and then attempted to bite him.

Meanwhile not far away inside Jake's cave, Jake heard Lilly scream in pain and his eyes snapped open.

'Lilly?' He asked as he then heard a roar of a Carnivore he never heard before in the same direction as he heard Lilly scream.

Jake jumped to his feet and charged out of his cave into Lilly's direction. He did not want to lose another of his friends.

Chapter 10: Round one

Chapter Text

Jake charged through the foliage at full speed. Smashing through fallen logs and trees with ease. He just hoped that he would arrive in time to save Lilly from being killed. He could hear her yell out in pain again and Jake finally could see her.

Tears stained his eyes as he hoped he wasn't too late to help her.

She had some minor injuries across her body, with the most lethal injury being a bite mark on her shoulder and her thigh. Jake could see a large Theropod looming over her, it looked to be around the same size or even bigger then Dakota. But most importantly, he was glad to see that Lilly was still breathing.

'Ah, you must be Jake.' The Theropod said in a deep male voice as it then planted it's foot onto Lilly's back and she grunted in pain.

'And you are?' Jake asked, anger and hostility edged in his voice.

'Where are my manners? I'm Scourge, a Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed created by BioSyn.' The Theropod said, introducing itself.

'Well Scourge, step away from the Suchomimus.' Jake snarled, the level of aggression in his voice was incredibly high.

Scourge just snarled loudly at Jake as he then lifted his foot off of Lilly and walked around her to look Jake in the face. Lilly meanwhile used this time to limp off to a safe distance.

'Okay, now what?' Scourge asked smugly, with a smirk on his blood covered jaws.

'Now you pay for what you did.' Jake snarled darkly as he then suddenly, without warning, he lunged forward at Scourge, jaws agape.

Scourge stepped aside, dodging Jake's lunge and the clamped his jaws down on his neck. Jake snarled in anger and forced Scourge to let go by slashing him on the base of his neck with his claws.

The Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed let go of Jake and backed up a bit from the Human-Acrocanthosaurus Crossbreed.

'Show me this "King of Muerta I have heard so much about from your friend!' Scourge exclaimed.

Jake snarled softly at Scourge as the Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed then charged forward at Jake. The Human-Acrocanthosaurus Crossbreed responded by slamming his tail into Scourge's face. Sending the Crossbreed into the dirt, and also dazing him in the process.

Scourge then stood up and then lunged forward at Jake and then clamped down on his shoulder, but before he could break Jake's shoulder like he did to Lilly, Jake then clamped down on Scourge's neck and shoved in backwards.

Jake could tell Scourge's neck and back was covered in osteoderms along with spines. He then however was shoved over onto his side by Scourge body checking him.

However, as the Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed was about to bite down on Jake's underbelly Jake suddenly kicked Scourge hard into the face, pushing him backwards and giving Jake time to get back to get up onto his feet.

Scourge then charged forward at Jake and clawed Jake on his neck and a bit down on his face, but Jake then pushed Scourge back after slashing him on his bottom jaw with his claws.

Jake stared at Scourge as both were bloodied up already.

Scourge then charged forward at Jake who then proceeded to slam his tail into Scourge's face at full force, chasing one of Scourge's many crocodilian-like teeth to fly out of his mouth and hit the ground. The Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed then looked at his fallen tooth and then brought his tongue to feel the place his teeth formally was.

Scourge then let out a soft chuckle as he then looked over at Jake.

'When the Suchomimus said you were strong, I didn't think she truly meant it, but it looks like you really are.' Scourge said. 'Be seein' ya.'

With that Scourge then stomped off, disappearing off into the forest.

Jake then took some deep breaths as he calmed himself down. Jake then stomped over to Lilly.

'You alright?' Jake asked.

'He broke my shoulder.' Lilly said. 'Other then that I'll live.'

Jake silently nodded and let out a sigh of relief.

Lilly then got up onto her feet, although she nearly fell to the ground.

'Thanks.' Lilly said as Jake helped her stand up fully.

'We need to get you to the medical facility.' Jake said.

'But first we need to get Dakota, she also fought Scourge.' Lilly said.

'We get Dakota and then we go straight to the laboratory, no pit stops whatsoever.' Jake said.

'Hey, Jake. I have a question.' Lilly suddenly said as they walked.

'What is it?' Jake asked.

'Why did you look like you were going to burst into tears when you arrived?' Lilly asked.

'I was scared I'd lose you too.' Jake said.

'Wait did someone die?' Lilly asked.

'Yeah, Charlotte. She died in a car crash a year ago apparently.' Jake said, starting to get chocked up. 'I'm just don't want to lose anyone else.'

'Oh.' Lilly answered somberly and the two then walked off to go get Dakota.

However, neither of them knew that Scourge had heard their conversation and he chuckled darkly before then disappearing into the deeper part of the forest.

After a bit of walking Lilly and Jake came to the lake to see Dakota laying on across a tree and Jake's eyes widened in horror as he thought Dakota was dead until he noticed her chest rising and falling. Jake and Lilly then helped Dakota get up onto her feet.

'I'm guessing you two had an encounter with Scourge too?' Dakota asked as she looked at her fellow Crossbreeds.

'yeah, he just broke my shoulder.' Lilly said. 'Jake managed to knock his tooth out.'

'Really?' Dakota asked. 'I couldn't even managed to do any major damage on him.'

'Let's just get you two to the laboratory.' Jake said, cutting into their conversation and they started to walk towards the medical center.

They arrived four hours later and Jake looked at the large garage door like entrance he had used to walk out and noticed it was closed.

Jake then used his tail to knock on it.

Kate then opened it and Jake looked down at her.

She let out a gasp as she looked at the battered and bloodied Megatheropods. Kate then motioned for them to come inside and Jake sat down on the floor of the lab while Dakota and Lilly were getting their injuries looked at.

"I'm going to need you three to turn into your human forms. I can't bandage you all up while your in your Dinosaur forms." Kate said as Jake then grabbed some large blankets and tossed one onto Lilly, another onto Dakota, and the final one onto himself.

It seemed Richard already had spare clothing for them.

"Who did this to you three?" Richard asked.

"Your Giganotosaurus Crossbreed." Jake answered bitterly.

"For the record we had no idea he was going to be like that." Richard said as he looked away so Lilly, Dakota, and Jake could change.

"He's bigger then me in my Dinosaur form." Dakota said.

"And he's really brutal." Lilly said as she winced in pain as Kate put a caste and arm sling around Lilly's broken shoulder.

"He probably takes pleasure in doing this." Jake said.

"Anyone else notice that he kept the blood from his previous fights smeared on his face?" Jake asked, from where he was sitting. It looked like he was deep in thought.

"It's kinda creepy." Lilly said as she then winced in pain as Kate was disinfecting her wounds.

Richard then noticed Jake start to stand up from where he was sitting.

"I wouldn't stand..." Richard trailed off as he noticed how tall Jake was.

He looked to be as tall as six foot seven.

"Wow." Kate murmured.

"I forgot what he looked like." Lilly remarked.

"I can see why Charlotte took him to prom." Dakota said, seemingly admiring Jake.

"Other then the fact they're best friends?" Lilly said.

"Yeah." Dakota said simply as Kate started to patch up her injuries.

Jake then walked over to the door.

"Where are you going?" Richard asked. "Your not even patched up."

"I'm going to go have a rematch with Scourge." Jake growled as he then walked off, transforming shortly after.

Chapter 11: Tracking

Chapter Text

Later that night a jeep drove down one of the service roads of the sanctuary until it came to a soft halt and the ranger inside rolled down the window and pulled out a pair of binoculars and looked at a small herd of of three Iguanodon which were grazing close by to the road in a small clearing.

They were light brown and dark brown with white stripes running along their spines. It was a peaceful, that was until the Hadrosaurs suddenly ran off into the forest, spooked by something.

The brush rustled on the passenger side of the jeep until a dark blur suddenly rammed into the side of the jeep the rustling was heard from. The jeep was then flipped by the charge and it landed on the ground, flipped upside down.

The ranger then crawled out of the damaged vehicle with minor injuries, probably from the shattered glass. The man groaned in pain until he heard some heavy footfalls and then saw a pair of Theropod feet in front of him and a clear liquid dripped down onto him.

The ranger then looked up to see a large Theropod looming over him, before he could even scream the Dinosaurs lunged down at him and clamped it's jaws around the man's torso. After flailing the man's body in it's jaws for a few moments the Theropod then threw the lifeless corpse at a tree before stomping off into the forest at a moderately fast pace.

Leaving the corpse for the scavengers or any other Theropod to pick apart. However, about half an hour later another Theropod appeared at the scene of the murder, scaring away some Compsognathus that had come to pick apart the corpse. This Theropod was Jake.

He then looked down at the corpse of the ranger and sniffed it. He reared his head back in disgust after sniffing the man's corpse. 'He's killing for fun.' Jake murmured to himself as he then noticed some of Scourge's footprints and he began to follow them.

Jake had been tracking Scourge for the past few hours, watching him attack several Dinosaurs. Which included a Triceratops herd, a lone Mamenchisaurus, a Gallimimus herd, a lone Ankylosaurus, and a pair of Ceratosaurus. However, out of all of them Scourge only killed a Gallimimus and one of the Ceratosaurus, all of the others he only managed to either injury slightly or failed to do any damage at all. Jake had seen Scourge attempt to attack the Triceratops herd but was nearly stabbed in the thigh by the alpha female of the herd.

Jake was having suspicions on whether Scourge was killing for fun or that some other carnivore had scared him off, but now the kill he had just made was icing on the cake.

The Human-Acrocanthosaurus Crossbreed then continued to walk until he heard some foliage rustle to his right and the smell of fresh blood reached his nostrils he halted before turning to look at the foliage and he charged at the brush. Instead of slamming into Scourge, he body checked a totally different Dinosaur.

'What the hell was that for?!' A female voice yelled as Jake looked down at whoever he just body checked.

'Sorry about that, I thought you were someone else.' Jake said as he took a step backwards from the Dinosaur as it stood up, it loomed over Jake and looked to be almost nineteen feet tall and Jake could see it's broadsword like claws. Jake even had to look up to look at it's face, due to it's long neck.

'Oh really? Well, now your going to pay Scourge!' The Dinosaur growled and then out a screech, Jake finally realized what it was. Broadsword like claws, the longish neck, and the feathers.

He was face to face with a Therizinosaurus, and a Crossbreed.

'Wait! I'm not Scourge!' Jake exclaimed as he dodged the Therizinosaurus' claws.

'Sure you aren't.' The Therizinosaurus snarled as she swung her claws at Jake again and he dodged the attack.

Jake could tell that the Therizinosaurus had been attacked by Scourge due to the fact he could see a bite mark on her thigh along with a few scratch marks. Jake then glanced behind him to see a small clearing and he backed up into it, letting the moonlight reveal who he truly was to the Therizinosaurus.

She suddenly ceased her hostility towards him.

'So you really aren't Scourge.' She mumbled looking at him.

'I'm trying to find and end him.' Jake explained.

'He attacked me near the waterfall.' She said, pointing in the direction of the waterfall. 'He's probably still there.'

Jake nodded and he began to stomp off. 'Thank you...' He started but trailed off, not knowing the Crossbreed's name as he looked back at her.

'McKenzie Elliot.' The Therizinosaurus said.

'Thank you McKenzie.' Jake said and McKenzie nodded silently and Jake then continued to walk off towards the waterfall.

When Jake got there he saw that Scourge had attacked one of his fellow Muerta Crossbreeds and was holding her neck in a death grip with his jaws. This one was Katlin Johnson, and she her Dinosaur form was an Apatosaurus.

'Scourge!' Jake yelled, getting Scourge's attention.

'Jake, I was wonder when you were going to show up.' Scourge growled as he released his death grip on Katlin's neck and turned to face him while the Human-Apatosaurus Crossbreed struggled to her feet and backed off, knowing Jake could handle this fight.

The two Megatheropods stared each other down. Scourge stood in the river water while Jake stood on the river bank. Scourge then let out a thunderous roar and Jake followed, the roars echoed across the valley and even grabbed the attention of the BioSyn employees.

Meanwhile in Kate's laboratory she, Richard, and Jeannie heard the two roars.

"We have to help him." Jeannie said as she knew one of them was Jake.

"I'm pretty sure he can handle himself." Kate said to her daughter.

"Fine, if your not going to help him I will." Jeannie said as she then opened the doors leading to outside and she transformed and took off into the forest.

"Jeannie get back here!" Kate exclaimed.

"Kate, I know someone who can help." Richard said as he then motioned for her to follow him and the two ran off towards the garage.

Chapter 12: Jake Vs Scourge

Chapter Text

Kate and Richard burst through the doors into the vehicle garage to see someone fixing one of the jeeps. "Jack, we need your help!' Richard exclaimed as he looked at the man. He was wearing a simple dark grey t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans with a light brown vest.

This man was Jack Thorne.

"What now Levine?" Jack asked.

"Dinosaur fight happening at the waterfall, Jeannie's there." Richard said, not going into much detail about what was going on.

Jack just simply nodded and grabbed a custom made netgun and placed it into the back of a jeep.

"What are you waiting for, An invitation? Get in." Jack said as he climbed into the driver's seat with Richard and Kate climbing into the passenger seats and Jack drove the jeep out of the vehicle garage after he opened the garage door and towards the waterfall.

The jeep drove down the service road and towards the place where the titans were clash as they pulled up to waterfall the waterfall Kate noticed that Jake and Scourge had already started fighting. With Scourge swinging his tail at Jake but the Human-Acrocanthosaurus dodged the attack.

Scourge strafed to avoid Jake's lunge and he then tried to bite down on Jake's neck but Jake moved to avoid it and then clamped down on Scourge's on Scourge's neck and Jake pushed him backwards. But then suddenly Scourge then clamped his jaws down on Jake's neck, making the Human-Acrocanthosaurus Crossbreed roar in pain.

However, Jake suddenly lifted his head up and hit Scourge on the neck, making the Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed let go of Jake's neck.

'Your fighting incredibly hard to try and beat me.' Scourge growled. 'What's the matter? Scared to lose more of your friends like you did Charlotte?'

That comment only enraged Jake and he roared in anger and then charged forward at Scourge but he smacked Jake in the face with his tail, making him stumble backwards.

Scourge then clamped his jaws down on Jake's shoulder but Jake then clamped down on Scourge's neck, and made the Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed let go of his shoulder.

'Aw did that make you mad?' Scourge asked and Jake only answered with another angered roar as he charged forward at Scourge. But Scourge then clamped his jaws down on Jake's neck and started to push him towards the waterfall ledge.

Jake's foot slipped off the edge and he looked down at the pool of water below and he pushed Scourge backwards so he wouldn't fall off the ledge. Scourge then started to claw at Jake but the Human-Acrocanthosaurus Crossbreed then made Scourge let go by slashing him on the neck.

Scourge stepped backwards and snarled softly at Jake who responded with a loud growl.

Jake then charged forward at Scourge but he then clamped his jaws down on Jake's neck and started thrash him around, that was until Jake made Scourge let go and he bit down on Scourge's neck. But Scourge then pushed Jake over.

Scourge then released his grasp on Jake's neck and then pinned the Human-Acrocanthosaurus Crossbreed down with his foot and was about to bite down on Jake's neck. That is until Scourge heard a screech and then looked up as an Atrociraptor charged forward at him and leaped at his face.

Scourge shook his head as the Atrociraptor started to scratch at Scourge's face. But Scourge then flung the Atrociraptor aside.

'You little pest!' Scourge roared in anger. 'I'll crush you under my foot!'

'You'll have to catch me first!' The Atrociraptor answered with a cheeky tone of voice.

"Take this." Jack said handing a flare to Richard inside the jeep as he watched the Atrociraptor dodge the Giganotosaurus' tail, which it slammed into the ground where the Atrociraptor was once standing.

"What do you want me to do with this?" Richard asked.

"Get it's attention while I get the net gun ready." Jack said simply and Richard nodded.

He then stepped out of the jeep and lit the flare just as he watched Scourge toss Jeannie aside with head after she leaped at it again.

"Hey!" Richard yelled, drawing Scourge's attention away from Jeannie.

Scourge's eyes locked onto the flare. "That's it you ugly bastard, eyes on me." Richard said as calmly as he could as Scourge then started to charge towards him, jaws agape.

Richard then rushed over to a nearby tree as Jack got the net gun ready and he rushed up towards Scourge and then fired it at Scourge. The net hit the Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed's face and then stuck him to a tree. Just then Jake stood up and started to approach the tree.

Scourge tried to free himself from the net until he noticed Jake approaching the tree and also noticed the Human-Acrocanthosaurus Crossbreed was starting to pick up in speed.

Jake then slammed his body into Scourge, causing the tree to break and making it along with Scourge to fall to the ground. Scourge growled in anger and then he freed his head from the net Jack had fired at him.

'Get down here and serve your purpose!' Scourge yelled up into the sky as then Jake was about to bite down on Scourge's neck until he heard a loud screech from above him and was suddenly attacked by something. This something was a gigantic Pterosaur, more importantly, a Quetzalcoatlus and Jake snarled at it in anger as he knew it was also a Crossbreed. The Human-Quetzalcoatlus Crossbreed then flew up higher in the air and Jake roared at it as it then circled around to attack again.

Jeannie leapt at the Quetzalcoatlus as she started to attack it and the Quetzalcoatlus tried to make her let go and after a bit flung her off and threw her towards another tree. The Human-Atrociraptor Crossbreed screeched in pain as she collided with the tree and then hit the ground with a thud and the Quetzalcoatlus landed on the ground in front of her, looming over her.

Kate watched in horror as the Queztalcoatlus was about to attack her daughter but then suddenly Jeannie lunged up at it and stabbed her toe claw into the pterosaur's shoulder and the Queztalcoatlus screeched in pain and Jeannie pulled her toe claw back and she passed out on the ground as the Pterosaur continued to screech in pain from getting stabbed in the shoulder.

Jake meanwhile was shoved backwards by Scourge but Jake then started to push him backwards.

Richard tossed away the now burnt out flare but he then noticed that both of Jake and Scourge were starting to tire out as Jake clamped his jaws down on Scourge's shoulder. However, Scourge pushed Jake backwards. Jake growled in pain as Scourge then clamped his jaws down on Jake's neck and shoved him into the dirt.

The two Carcharodontosaurs were breathing heavily as Jake swung his tail at Scourge and it collided with Scourge and sent him into the dirt. As Scourge got up back onto his feet Jake suddenly hit him in the face with the tree Scourge had made fall, making Scourge stumble backwards as Jake the charged forward and started to push Scourge towards the ledge.

Scourge started to scratch up Jake's face and neck with his claws until Jake shoved Scourge against a rock and a loud snap was heard.

The Human-Giganotosaurus Crossbreed let out a roar of pain as he heard his leg break .

Jake then let out a roar of victory as Scourge limped away in defeat, his head hung low in shame but Jake had a feeling he would likely never see Scourge again.

He then turned around and started to walk away. Until he stopped when he heard heavy footsteps approaching him and a low bellowing sound.

Jake then turned to face who was approaching him to see it was a Dreadnoughtus, he could tell it was a Crossbreed. The sauropod then let out a soft bellow at him.

Then on the Dreadnoughtus' right McKenzie appeared. Then on her right a Dimetrodon Crossbreed walked up. Meanwhile on the Dreadnoughtus' left a Parasaurolophus Crossbreed then walked up along with a Brachiosaurus Crossbreed and a Carnotaurus Crossbreed.

Just then the Quetzalcoatlus Crossbreed appeared landing down next to the Dimetrodon Crossbreed and Jake glared at him, he could still see the stab wound Jeannie inflicted on him.

'My name is Francisco, and I pledge my loyalty to you, great king of Muerta.' The Pterosaur Crossbreed said, introducing himself as he then extended his wings and he then curled them inwards and lowered his head, bowing to Jake.

Jake then looked at the other Crossbreeds which then followed suite in bowing to him one by one. Jake then raised his head up and let out a thunderous roar.

"I've never seen that before." Richard murmured to Kate.

"Well Human-Dinosaur Crossbreeds aren't normal humans or Dinosaurs." Kate said.

Just then Jake looked over at the three humans and Jeannie. Kate froze in fear realizing that Jake wanted Jeannie to bow to him like the other BioSyn made Crossbreeds.

Jeannie got the message and she crouched down and lowered her head and Jake let out a soft huff.

"You know, it would be smart to store them in cryogenic sleep." Richard said.

"Why is that?" Jack asked.

"This place could get pretty crowded and it could be dangerous with two apex predators were roaming the valley, you saw how Sorna turned out and it had two apex predator species." Richard said and Jack just silently nodded in agreement.

Although Jake heard them as well and he silently agreed with the idea and he then let out a soft rumbling sound from his throat and he then stomped off with the other Crossbreeds off into the forest while Kate, Richard, Jeannie, and Jack entered the jeep they came in and drove off back to Kate's lab.

Chapter 13: Calm After The Storm

Chapter Text

As Jack drove the jeep into the garage and put it into park, he turned to look back at Kate and Richard. "So what are these Crossbreeds?" Jack asked.

"A story for another time, Doc." Richard said simply as he then opened one of the passenger doors and stepped out, Kate following soon after. Jeannie then jumped out of the back of the jeep and she nearly fell down onto the concrete floor.

Kate could tell her daughter was exhausted from the fight as Jeannie let out an Atrociraptor's version of a yawn and her eyelids were drooping slightly. Kate and Jeannie then started to walk to Kate's lab but Richard stayed back for a bit.

"Hey, Doc, thanks for the help out there." Richard said.

"Don't mention it Levine. Just glad I could help out." Jack answered as he grabbed the net launcher from the jeep and set it down on the table.

Richard nodded silently and then ran off to follow Kate and Jeannie as they made it to Kate's laboratory after a good ten minute walk.

However, when they entered the three never expected to see all of the Crossbreeds inside the room.

"What are they all doing in here?" Richard asked, he could see all of the Crossbreeds made by both BioSyn and InGen inside, they were talking or hanging out and they were also fully clothed.

Jake then noticed the three and walked over to them.

"Jake, what's going on here?" Kate asked him in a hushed tone.

"I brought everyone here to go into cryogenic sleep." Jake answered in the same tone.

"Why?" Kate asked.

"Because we aren't supposed to be a part of the ecosystem. We're invasive, and Scourge proved that with his actions." Jake said.

"What do you mean by "invasive"?" Richard asked.

"He was trying to kill Crossbreeds and Dinosaurs alike, he managed to injure three Crossbreeds and killed two Dinosaurs." Jake said. "Besides Dinosaurs with human level intelligence running around in the wild is a really bad idea."

"But you can't just choose everyone's fate for them." Kate pointed out.

"We held a vote, majority agreed to go into cryo sleep." Jake said.

Jeannie looked over at Jake and then at her mom, hoping that she didn't have to go into whatever "cryogenic sleep" was.

"Do you want to go into cryo sleep as well." Kate asked, looking at Jeannie.

The Human-Atrociraptor Crossbreed shook her head and Kate looked over at Jake who nodded, understanding Jeannie's wishes to be with her mother.

Richard and Kate then motioned for the Human-Dinosaur Crossbreeds to follow them to the room where the Cryogenic sleep chambers were. Jeannie meanwhile sluggishly walked over to a blanket that lay on the floor and sat down and curled up on it, falling asleep shortly after.

Meanwhile in the Cryogenic sleep room Jake watched as Lilly, McKenzie, and Dakota climbed into the sleeping pods with Katlin, Sera, and Heather following suite with Francisco entering his shortly after. Soon all nineteen of them had entered into the cryogenic pods, all except for Jake.

"Try to keep her out of trouble." Jake said and Kate knew he meant Jeannie.

"I'll try." Kate said, promising to Jake.

Jake nodded silently as he then walked over to his cryogenic sleeping pod and layed down in it as the lid closed and Jake closed his eyes as the cryo chamber started to go into effect. Kate watched as the sleeping pods all activated and it put the Crossbreeds into a state of hibernation.

"Well now we should probably go relax a bit." Richard said.

"Yeah, we should probably." Kate said.

The two then walked off back to Kate's laboratory to hear snoring and Kate looked over to see Jeannie sleeping curled up in a blanket on the floor.

Kate smiled softly as she then grabbed another blanket nearby and put it overtop of Jeannie and let her sleep where she was.

Kate then walked over to her desk sat down at her desk's chair and then grabbed a pen and started to write a report on the Crossbreeds while Richard simply walked out of the lab to go talk to Jeff.

However, when he walked into his office Richard saw that Dodgson was sitting in Jeff's seat instead of Jeff.

"What are you doing in Rossiter's seat?" Richard asked, slightly surprised to see Dodgson sitting in Rossiter's chair.

"I'm the new CEO." Dodgson said simply.

"How?" Richard asked suspiciously.

"Rossiter died of a heart attack." Dodgson answered. "And I was put in charge."

"So, what's your first order of business?" Richard asked.

"Well I want to make an American facility, there's already a building but it just needs a bit of remodeling and then the Crossbreeds can be relocated there." Dodgson said. "I know you and Walker put them in cryo sleep."

"What does that have to anything, Lewis?" Richard asked.

"Because I want you and Walker to run it." Lewis said,

Richard just silently nodded and walked back to Kate's lab to tell her the news.

Lewis then pulled up a news article on his computer, which had the title of "Tyrannosaur spotted in forests of California" and showed a grainy picture of a what looked like a Tyrannosaurus but was slimmer in build and was crossing a highway.

"Probably just some edited photograph from the San Diego incident." He grumbled as he then closed the article.

Richard then entered Kate's lab and walked up to her.

"Dodgson's CEO now, and he wants to build a US facility." Richard said, making Kate jump in surprise slightly.

"Oh really?" Kate asked.

"Yeah, and he wants us in charge." Richard said. "Along with moving the Crossbreeds there."

"Guess he found out." Kate said and Richard nodded silently.

"Well let's get going." Kate said getting up out of her seat and Richard smirked softly as the two then began to pack up everything so they can get to American facility.

Jeannie's eyes opened softly and she made a soft smile at her mom and Richard before going back to sleep.

THE END.
