Chapter 1: I love Cookies
Ahrya was woken up due to Bentley's snoring. They both were Loud sleepers but Bentley always seemed to snore slightly louder. This was definitely not the first time this has happened. Ahrya was annoyed about this, he looked over at his friend who was sound asleep, and Ahrya was not. When he checked the time he realized it was 6:00. That’s a good time to get up early, right.
Ahrya forced himself out of his soft, comfy bed. He paced over to Bentley who was laying on his side, snoring like a chainsaw. "WAKE UP BENTLEY" Ahrya shouted as he slapped Bentley across the face. "Ahh- whaa why isss sam so hot uhh, OH! Owwwww. That was a good dream Ahrya. Why did you wake me up?" said Bentley as if he just chugged 15 cups of soda (gotta make this kid friendly okay). He opened his lime green eyes waiting for an answer. "Actually you woke me up first, your snoring is basically an alarm clock". Ahrya replied. "Oh good to know, '' Bentley said as he got up, out of bed.
He went to his closet and grabbed his favorite, long scarlet jacket and a black shirt and jeans to go with it. After snatching his bandanna off a table, Bentley walked into another room to change, and closed the door, leaving Ahrya alone in their room. “Well okay then” he said, getting his own clothes. He changed in the bathroom. After walking out of the bathroom and into the hallway, in his new outfit, Ahrya realized Bentley was not here. “Uh Bentley where are,” Ahrya, started, walking into the dark hallway. “HELLO!” Bentley yelled through the shadows, making Ahrya scream. “Ha! Gotcha!” Bentley said. Ahrya paused before saying “How do you have so much energy?” “I don’t know, I just do,” Bentley said, shrugging. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He walked towards the tall door At the end of the hallway. "Come on, let's go on an adventure already".
Outside, the door burst open, scaring all the birds away. And out came Bentley and Ahrya ready to start the day. Giant spaceships flew above, neon race cars zoomed on the road. Robots of every type roamed the neon streets. Lights and holograms flashed everywhere as bright screens showed advertisements, news and games as two artists leaped through the city in an epic fight. A normal day in Monster cat city, really. A few minutes of walking through the city passed by. "So where do you want to go?" Ahrya said as a big explosion boomed in the background. "Ooh! I saw a cool cave earlier when we were on that mountain with Chime" (I didn't know who else to put) Bentley said. "Hey why didn't you tell me earlier caves are cool" Ahrya replied. "Also that's far away it would take a while to get there on foot".
Well that wouldn't be a problem, because a ship that raced by gave Bentley an idea, a really stupid one. "Well no one said we had to walk there" Bentley watched as another ship was approaching. without a warning or even telling Ahrya what he was about to do He jumped to the ship as it sped by. Bentley glitched forward and gripped the side of the roof of the ship, clinging to the side like a guy about to fall off a cliff. “BENTLEY WHAT IN THE NAME OF SKRILLEX ARE YOU DOING” Ahrya shrieked as he ran after the ship. He spotted an artist riding on a hoverboard so he simply shoved the artist off, hopped on and zoomed off towards Bentley, his long black and white jacket rushing in the wind. “What the heck terror” the artist said after Pixel Terror (Bentley and Ahrya) was already many meters away. Ahrya raced after the ship where Bentley was, by the time he caught up Bentley was clinging on to a satellite on top of the ship. His wavy cyan hair was somehow not in his face. “Seriously could you at least tell me what you were about to do?” Ahrya said. The hoverboard activated its AI and began to shake and turn like a wild animal. He tried to glitch onto the ship, but he couldn’t focus enough to teleport. “WOAH, it's trying to knock me off” “okay so jump” Bentley said “ARE YOU CRAZY” Ahrya shouted “always have been just do it” Bentley said casually. Ahrya knew he was gonna die but who cares gamers respawn anyway. And he jumped, and landed flat on his face. Just as Ahrya was about to fall off Bentley grabbed him by the hand. He struggled to drag his friend down to the ship. The hoverboard flew back to the artist like a boomerang. “I WILL GET YOU FOR THAT” They said. After a while Ahrya was somehow able to get somewhat comfortable on the roof of the ship.
“Bentley, you nearly killed yourself and me” “Well I saved you” “Everyone here respawns anyway so don’t freak out if you are in a life or death situation” after a few minutes the ship was reaching the outskirts of the city. Suddenly the hatch on the roof opened up and someone peeked through. They had brown hair, large green goggles and a red chestplate with some circle pattern in the middle “Hey! What in the world of wubstep are you doing here” “MDK!? Where did you come from?" Bentley said as if this stuff happens everyday. (In a place like the Dublands, it really does happen everyday though) “Uh, I could ask you the same thing, anyway me and the boys were heading over to the Creosphere wanna come?” MDK asked “no, we were heading to that forest near the city” Ahrya replied “yeah we could take you there… how long have you been up here?” MDK asked “about ten minutes," answered Ahrya. "Do you mind if we uhhh, come down there, I don't really wanna cling to the roof like this." "Y'know what, yeah, come on in," MDK replied.
The two climbed into the trapdoor and into the interior of the ship. The duo sat on a couch made of metal and a cushion on top. Noises from the pipes on the metal walls hummed as the dim lights on the low ceiling buzzed. "Also is it me or are half the artists mentioned in this fanfic like me not even from monstercat.” MDK said. “Hey no one said that the author would only use monstercat artists in this, she is probably just gonna use her favorites if I’m gonna guess” said Ahrya “ooooooh does that mean we get to see Teminite?!” said Bentley. “Maybe, maybe not but I sure hope so,'' MDK replied. “The door on the right of the room opened and out came F-777; a pink, sentient raptor. Why can a dinosaur talk? Well This is a fantasy, of course a dinosaur can talk.
“Morgan, I made cookies,” he said. (yeah I know they’re all guys but basically all my favorite music artists are males so) “COOKIES! I love cookies” Bentley exclaimed. “The fridge are you doing here artists…. I don't... know.” “We heading to the forest and into the caves,” Bentley said. "Oh, interesting you two are gonna get in trouble but I can’t stop you anyway”. F-777 said as he set the cookies on a low table. Almost immediately, Bentley glitched and teleported over and devoured some of the cookies. “You better not eat all of them I want some too” Morgan said as he grabbed a handful of cookies and shoved them in his mouth. “Do you have to eat so loud!” Shouted F-777. “Ha, said the raptor, from what I know dinosaurs chew very loud” MDK said through a mouth full of cookies. “No, no he’s got a point” Ahrya said “Well you don’t have any excuse to eat so loud” F-777 snapped back.
The four continued to banter until The door on the side of the room opened and out came a short boy in a long sleeved, white jacket with blue stripes at the edges and a tall collar with a large zipper. “Can you turn down the volume a bit I’m trying to-.... Uhhhh, errrrr, Pixel... terror, why are you here” he said. “another one? How many artists are there?!” Ahrya asked. "Who are you, anyway," "I'm uh, Similar Outskirts, well that's my music nickname… my real name is Troy," the boy said. "I'm Ahrya, and this is Bentley, and together we- were Pixel terror, but I have my own seprate project now" Ahrya said. “Ooooh I think I ate too many cookies…" Said Bentley, he wasn't paying attention to the others. “DID SOMEONE SAY COOKIES,” Someone said as they burst through the door, knocking Similar Outskirts to the floor. *THUMP* (oop that rhymes) “Ooowwwwwww…” he said. “Oh my goodness I’m sooooo sorry I didn’t mean to do that are you okay?” The artist said, they had peach colored hair, a black hoodie with a hot pink star on it and black shorts. “Another one!?” Ahrya snapped, standing up “are there like a hundred of you in here, one fanfic can only have so many characters okay." He said. "Actually that's… all of us" Outskirts said as he got off the floor. (this character will be more important later) He paced over to where the duo was chilling and sat down next to Bentley who giggled and said "your kinda cute" before anyone else could say anything, Morgan immediately shouted "NO-NO WE ARE NOT GOING DOWN THAT ROUTE!" “Uuuhhhmm… thank you…" said Outskirts. His face was redder than a strawberry. "I mean this is fanfiction," he said, making everyone laugh.
Some time later Bentley was sitting, staring out the window into the forest. Sadly, all the cookies were gone. Across from him, breathing silently, curled up in a blanket was a sleeping Similar Outskirts. "How does Troy sleep like that, I snore like a microwave" Morgan said. (MMMMMMMMMMMMMM) "Heeeeey wake up so you can help me with color bass" ColBreakz said. Troy responded with silence. ColBreakz shook Outskirts who awakened with a "waaaaaahhhh-". "Yay! You're awake," Colbreakz said. Troy stared at them with an expression that said, "Five more minutes". The ship slowed to a stop "Weeeeeere here". The driver said peering through the window overlooking the room where the others were. Pixel Terror (Bentley and Ahrya) stood up and stepped towards the door. "Took you long enough," Bentley said. "Actually that was about ten minutes." Troy said with a yawn "how do you know you were asleep, do you have like, magical powers that tell you what time it is" Colbreakz asked. "No but there is a clock up there" and that was the last thing Ahrya heard before stepping off the ship and into the light of the sun.
The second the duo stepped outside, the door closed and the ship soared into the sky. A moment of awkward silence passed before Bentley said, "Well come on, let's go into the cavern!"
Chapter 2: Oh look! Berries!
Summary:
Chapter 2 of Into the Cavern
Chapter Text
The two were alone in the forest, they paced around, not sure where to go from here. “Well, that happened'' Bentley said, trying to break the silence. Ahrya looked around, examining his surroundings, “I’m pretty sure the cave was over here somewhere” he said.
They were on the mountain side, vibrant trees dotted the rocky landscape, colorful light shining over them. The bluff overlooked an ocean of dark trees blocking any sunlight from reaching the ground. The dark leaves are like a fog of shadows. In the middle of the shady forest, a large tree stood above the others. This was shadow sleep forest, Bossfight's territory, and everyone knew not to mess with Bossfight.
Luckily, Bentley and Ahrya were up in windchime ascent, which is quite peaceful, and 20 times safer than the horrors of Shadow Sleep forest. In the distance were the shimmering lights of Monstercat city where the adventure started. The duo paced through the woods. Rays of sunlight shone down on the forest floor, lighting the path, birds of every color crafted their voices into a beautiful melody. Each chirp had a different sound, but the tweets united in harmony. It filled the forest with music. Shimmering waterfalls flowed along the shiny rocks. Little pools of blue water glittered in the grass.
"Oh no, I gotta go,'' Bentley said. "I-I can't hold it in much longer." "What do you mean what's going on?" Ahrya asked. Something bad was happening, but what? His mind swirled with paranoid possibilities until. "I GOTTA PEEEEEEE!" Bentley shouted, scaring the chords out of a deer who was simply trying to eat the vivid petals of blue flowers. "Uh, wha- ummmm- then go! I guess," Ahrya stammered, "okay I'm gonna go behind that tree there, do NOT look, Ahrya, this fanfic is supposed to be kid friendly." Bentley replied. He dashed over, splashing in a blue puddle. Bentley quickly teleported behind the vivid tree and did his thing. "Ah, that feels better" he said, coming out from behind the tree, "Come on! Let's get to the good part!"
Hours passed and Bentley grew tired there was, it was beautiful but there was nothing interesting here. The birds who once crafted a symphony with only their voices had all gone to sleep or something. The sound from the windchimes hung from the trees went from a majestic song to an annoying abomination that drove the two crazy. Seriously, Who had hung all these here?!
“Don’t tell me we're lost,” Bentley said. The sun was getting low and shadows began to grow. A howl was heard in the distance. I wanna go home, he thought. “Bentley, I’m scared,'' Ahrya squealed. “Then why did you decide to come here?” Snapped Bentley giving him the I-wouldn't-be-wasting-my-time-if-that-wasn't-exactly-what-I-was-doing look on his face. “I don’t know it’s just, ever since we split up things have gotten so boring” Ahrya said before realizing he was beginning to cry. (iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitts drama time) “I-I miss going on all tho-those fun adventures, it was something new every day, but-but now, It’s just a boring life in city.” Tears began to stream down his face, from his shiny hazel eyes down to the damp grass. Bentley turned around, with a genuinely sorry expression. “Me too kid. I miss those days of adventure, and sometimes, I want to go back to the fun” He placed his hand on Ahrya’s shoulder and dragged him into a hug (lol you thought they were gonna do it, just because it is fanfiction doesn’t mean it has to be shipping every character in existence, they are just friends). For once Bentley didn’t hold in his tears, he let them fall. He had finally let his feelings out of their cage. The hug lasted for at least 20 seconds before they let go.
“Let’s keep going, I know I’m not alone”.
A few minutes of walking passed. “Can we set up camp? It's getting dark.” Ahrya asked. “Okay but we don’t have any camp supplies," Bentley replied before looking around. There was a small clearing of shiny grass surrounded by bright trees. There were a few piles of leaves under the evening sky above. "Okay I’m sleeping on that pile of leaves and you, go start a fire or something.” he said. “Uh, okay see ya later” Ahrya left and started humming a tune, to replace the song from the birds. You can start singing any second now, he thought. The spiraling, vibrant trees were gazing over him, each leaf looked like a butterfly's wing. He paced through the flowers and tall grass. This time, he was alone in the forest, the random birds were his only company. He found a bush with some red berries on it. Ahrya looked at the berries, wondering if they were poisonous but he was so hungry he didn’t care. I should have eaten more of F-777's cookies, He thought.
A few moments later, Ahrya came back with the berries. He saw Bentley starting a fire, or at least trying to, “you better not start a forest fire, remember what happened in that prehistoric, volcanic adventure we had when Chime messed up the time machine.” Ahrya said. “Dude you scared the bass outta me, and yes, I do remember what happened” Bentley replied. They both had flashbacks of when Bentley used a flamethrower to fight a dinosaur, but ended up starting a wildfire. The flames were as hot as magma.
“Those berries better not be poisonous”. Bentley commented. “I mean, they’re not… I-I think.” Ahrya said. Bentley stepped over the fire, pacing through the grass. After staring at the berries for a suspiciously long time, he said “Remember when that snake bit me and I went on an acid trip for 10 minutes?” “I knew you would bring that up,” Ahrya replied. Bentley fears that the snake still haunts him to this day. Ignoring that, he picked one of the red berries out of Ahrya’s hand and tossed it in his mouth. It tasted surprisingly well for a random plant you found in the woods. Ahrya stared at him with a I-have-a-good-feeling-something-bad-is-about-to-happen facial expression. They just stood there as if waiting for something to happen. “So uh, are they toxic? '' he said. “No I don’t think so” Bentley replied after swallowing. A few seconds of awkward silence passed until Bentley clenched his chest as cold sweat poured from his limbs, hyperventilating, he let out a painful cry and fell to the damp grass below. “BENTLEY!” Ahrya screamed as he dropped down, desperate to help his friend. Bentley was shaking on the grass, shrieking in pain. “N–n-nooo! Someone help!” Screamed Ahrya who felt like he was gonna have a heart attack. “BENTLEY PLEASE”...... he stopped moving, suddenly he was motionless, more silent then when Similar Outskirts was sleeping earlier. Ahrya began to cry, Bentley was gone. He would come back but, it would be a while. How would he be able to get through this adventure without him. Suddenly, Ahrya heard a familar laugh. “Ha, ha ha ha haaa HAHA” He was relieved, but also bamboozled. “I got you good” Said Bentley. “You scared me half to death! Ahrya said “that’s not funny” Bentley’s riped up black pants had mud all over them but he didn’t seem to care. “I would Have repawned anyway” “yeah in like in a month! And I would be alone out here” “you would get back to the city eventually and there are a lot of friends there.” “No friends like you, Bentley we were partners for a reason”. “That means a lot to me Ahrya, but we split for a reason too". They both sat down on a bed of leaves with a sigh.
Pixel Terror and Affinity (Bentley and Ahrya) Laid down on the grass gazing up to the night sky, eating a few of the non-poisionus berries. "Who knows what is out there" said Ahrya. "Well, The Temi-lands, Wubtopia, the Creosphere, that random planet where monster cat-" Bentley started "yeah but besides that." Ahrya said "I have realized that the universe is infinite, I can't even imagine the possibilities, the worlds, the galaxies, the creatures the-" "Evil aliens that want to kill us", Bentley added. Ahrya laughed and said "yeah, that too''. The two continued to look up at the stars discussing constellations, watching for shooting stars and just admiring the beauty. Soon they were both sound asleep, dreaming under the stars.
Chapter 3: Party Time!
Chapter Text
Ahrya was woken up due to Bentley's snoring. They both were Loud sleepers but Bentley always seemed to snore slightly louder. This was definitely not the first time this has happened.
He got up and stepped over, careful not to step on anything. When Ahrya got over to his friend, he let him sleep. Ahrya then spent the next ten minutes teleporting around the forest looking for the cave. He thought it would be easy but, everywhere he looked it wasn’t there. He used nearly all of his power trying to find it, he was clearly searching in the wrong area. He eventually took a break and went back to the camp. He was certain he would find it eventually. Bentley was still asleep, and still snoring like a motorbike. Ahrya was bored, he wasn’t tired, he was full of energy but had nothing to use it on.
A few moments of awkward silence passed. Ahrya was this close to waking up Bentley like he did in the beginning of the story.
Suddenly, a scream echoed in the distance. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAA-” It sounded familiar. What happened! Is it a attack from terrifying monster? Are there sinister bandits in the forest? Is there a literal wildfire!? More thoughts of danger flooded Ahrya’s mind with fear as he rushed over. Shoving all the trees out of the way, scaring all the deer away, trampling on leaves.
When he got there he realized: 1. The scream came from Similar Outskirts. 2. He had fallen from a tree 3. He landed on a pile of leaves that broke his fall, he hadn't noticed the spectator.
“Where did you come from? I thought you were going to the Creo-Square thing, or whatever” Ahrya said. Outskirts, jumped and whirled around, “Wh-what, what are you doing here, I thought you were going to a cave”. He stammered, confused. “Well, we're still on our way, going up the mountain today I think”. Replied Ahrya. “Yeah, after the trip I was dropped off here only a couple of minutes ago. We had a lot o-” Outskirts began before Ahrya shouted “You LIVE here!” “Yeah, well, I live near here! I know this place pretty well!” Outskirts exclaimed, “I think I know where that cave is too” He said. Ahrya’s belly rumbled like thunder, he was practically starving. “I am starving, mind if I come over for like, a few minutes, I won't be long,” he asked, feeling very awkward about going into someone's house but he only wanted food. Outskirts didn't know what to say, he barely knew Pixel Terror, but a few minutes wouldn't be so bad would it? He didn't want to, but Ahrya looked so hungry, it was the right thing to do. Just a couple of minutes and he will be out of my hair he thought. “uhhhhhhhhhh…. Sure! We can watch some anime on my TV”. Outskirts said, already regretting his decision.
They traversed through the tall grass and colorful flowers. The birds began to sing. Ahrya almost completely forgot about his friend until a familiar voice called; "Ahrya! Hey Ahrya! WHERE THE F**K ARE YOU!!" "Oh snares that must be Bentley." Ahrya said as he showed a peace sign with his fingers and slowly teleported away with a bored expression.
He reappeared next to Bentley who jumped at him with a hug, knocking them both into a dirty puddle. Ahrya's short brown hair was all wet now. He was on his back in a puddle staring at Bentley's face. Bentley proceeded to wrap his friend in a tight hug, when he finally let go. They got up off the floor, both covered with spots of water and dirt. "What the h*ll was that for!?" Ahrya snapped. "Oh! Sorry I was just excited to see you" "nevermind then follow me" "uh where are we going" "to a friend, I found a familiar face, now come on let's go" when they got back, Ahrya was surprised to see that Similar Outskirts was still patiently waiting for them.
"Oh, you're back. Follow me." He said, although he was the only person he wanted to go home with. "Oooh it's you again!" Bentley said "I remember you from earlier in the story". "Oh. Uhhhhhhhhh, now c-come with… me" Outskirts, said nervously as he walked through the woods. I could just ask them to leave.
His steps were quiet, as he weaved his way through the trees. A butterfly landed on his bright blue hat. Birds flew above and sang their songs in his path. His dark, navy hair began to blow in the wind. When he approached a squirrel it did not run, it simply stared without fear. a deer traversed by, a fawn stepped up to Troy (Outskirts and troy are the same character) who simply rubbed its soft fur. He seemed to pretend Bentley and Ahrya didn't exist. Usually when someone gets in contact with a baby animal, the parents would attack in defense like “DONT TOUCH MY CHILD” but that did not happen. Though, Bentley had a good feeling that has happened in some other story. (Spoilers: it did)
“Are you hungry little one, It seems you could not find your berries,”. Said Troy. “I wonder if someone took them”. he said, looking at Bentley and Ahrya. “ummmm what-what are you looking at-at me for! N-no no one-no one took them. I-I think.” Ahrya stammered. “Did I stutter?” Bentley said. “You’re not very good at hiding things are you.” Troy said. “Uhhhhhhhh,” said the duo. “It’s okay you were hungry, we were almost there anyway.” He said.
They continued through the vibrant woods, the duo had no idea where they were going, they were just following Troy, and he didn’t look like he knew it either.
At some point they made an unusual structure. greenish steps led up to an altar in which an emerald ring stood, shining like a gateway to another realm. "Well I don't exactly live here," Outskirts said, turning towards the other two, "I live near here, or it's… easy to get here from where I live." He continued up the steps, the crystal gateway reflected colors of every hue. The inside of the ring was a shimmering screen. It was a portal. "Woah woah woah, you never said you were taking us to another sector!" Ahrya snapped. "Oh I'm sorry about that, but I am not from Monstercat so I assumed you knew," Outskirts said. "I barely even remembered your existence before this story," Ahrya said. "I understand that, I'm super underrated. no idea why the author chose me of all artists for this." Seriously though, he did not sign up for this, but that doesn’t matter, I make the rules here.
Before Similar Outskirts could walk through, Bentley ran forward shouting: "What are we waiting FOR, LETS F**KING GOOO!!" He leaped towards the shimmering portal. But, instead of passing through, Bentley was caught like a bug in a spider web and tossed off the altar. He screamed "aaAAAAIIIIIII-!!" Before hitting the ground, landing in a bush. *Splat* Ahrya winced, but Bentley shouted: "I'M OKAY!" "I forgot to tell you, only color bass artists can pass," Outskirts said. "Watch and learn," he placed his hand on the screen, it began to glow. Bentley got up, and stared in awe. The portal flashed, it was open. "So, are you coming or can I be left alone?" Outskirts said before he disappeared through the portal. Please say no. Ahrya took a deep breath and stepped through. He expected a chaotic journey through a mind bending abyss at the speed of sound. Instead, he stepped right through like it was an ordinary door. And with a flash of color, Ahrya was in another sector of the dub-lands. upon entering, he jumped out of the way, knowing Bentley would come flying through any second. "Oh, you made it," Outskirts said, though he sounded really disappointed about that. "EEEEEAAAAAHH-" Bentley screamed upon jumping through, and face planting into the grass. He got up and said "I'm fine." Ahrya looked over at his friend with a sigh. "Okay random artist, lead the way." (This land is basically the same as windchime ascent so I won't need to explain the appearance). An hour or so later, they arrived at a house in the woods. Since I have no idea what Similar Outskirts’s house looks like I can’t describe this. When they walked through the door. Bentley ran over and threw his entire body on the soft couch, getting mud on it. “Could you please take a shower or something, I don’t feel like cleaning this place”. Outskirts said, with a frustrated tone. “I hate showering, I don’t smell that bad”. Bentley said. “Bro, You smell like beans” Ahrya said. “I SMELL LIKE BEANS!” Bentley shouted while running through the hallway, “the bathroom is over here” Outskirts called “OKAYYYYY” Bentley yelled, running the other way. Some time later, Ahrya came out in a alternate outfit, Bentley was seated on a soft couch, for once he was not being obnoxious, he was on his laptop making some music. Or at least, that’s what Troy assumed, Bentley could be doing something else. “Do you have noodles or anything”. He asked. “I have ramen noodles,” Said Troy coming out of the other room, he grabbed a remote off the table and turned on the TV. “Any anime you like” he asked. “Uhhhh, not really, also ramen noodles is that really all you have?” Ahrya said sitting down next to his friend. “Yeah, sorry, so I can chose what we watch” Outskirts said excitedly. “Yeah fine” Bentley said as he closed his laptop. They spent the next few minutes watching, well whatever Similar Outskirts made them watch. At the same time Outskirts would not shut up about his favorite anime, despite the fact that Bentley and Ahrya were barley listening. By the end, Bentley was on only his 7th pack of ramen noodles. “Don’t call me a weeb but, I actually liked that” Ahrya said “eh, It was, alright, weeb” Bentley replied. “Okay, maybe we could share music or something.” Outskirts suggested. Both Bentley and Ahrya looked at him. “That’s a good idea”. They both said simultaneously. “Jinx!” They said again. “Yeah but there is only three people he-” Troy said before. Ding! Dong! “Huh, now who could that be.” he said as he walked over to the door opened it up and. "I'M A PIRATE! MOTHERF**KER!!!“ He had curly dirty blond hair, pale skin and glasses, He had a long, wavy black cloak, with a large collar, blue bolts of lightning crept up from the torn, pointy edges of his cloak. He had two metal cuffs around his arms and tall, shiny boots. Who was this, well, ITS TEMINITE! "uhhh, hello, what are you doing he-" Outskirts began before, Bentley shouted "Teminite! Yay you're here! What took you so long? Can't you travel as fast as lightning or something?" "Wait, what?" Similar Outskirts said. Suddenly, the window opened up, “Yes, I knew you would show up,” MDK said as he climbed through the window. “Are we gaming in here” Creo said he levitated over to the others”. “Heeeey! can I join the party?” ColBreakz said as she jumped through a hole in the ceiling. (She/her because We need more females, and I don't know Col's gender IRL) Suddenly Similar Outskirts found himself surrounded by not 2 not 3, but 6 different music artists. “One second,” He said as he calmly walked through a door and into another room. “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” Similar Outskirts screamed. “Bro, you good man” Creo asked. “NOOO THIS HOUSE WAS NOT MADE FOR 7 GODD*MN PEOPLE” Troy shouted, walking out of the other room. He looked at Bentley with an angry expression. “Uh you see, I was chatting with Teminite on my laptop, and then he said he would visit me here, bu-” Bentley said. “PIXEL TERROR WHAT THE H*LL!!?” Outskirts yelled as he stomped over to Bentley. “Dude, chill" Creo said But Similar Outskirts did not listen, because he slapped Bentley in the face. (I like ya cut G) Teminite let out a “OOOOOOOOOH” “and that's why you never make a nice guy angry” he said. “There, I got my anger out, anyway, uhhhhhhh, uh! What are you all doing here?”. Said Troy. "I don't know, I just came here because I thought there were cookies," Creo said. "I have already had a lot of cookies, but you can never have enough cookies," MDK said, "there are no cookies, sorry," Said Ahrya. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO COOKIES!" Teminite shouted, making everyone jump. "Uh, understandable, have a good day," Teminite said, "but I really want cookies," he whimpered under his breath. "Enough talk about cookies! Let's do some music sharing" MDK declared. "Yes sir, I have 1 ID but yes sir" Creo said. Everyone looked at him with a "those-are-rookie-numbers-face". "I mean I'd like to hear your other tracks" he said. "Yeah BOIS" Bentley said. "Oooooh can we have a DANCE PARTY!!" ColBreakz exclaimed. "No," MDK said. Everyone stared at him. "JUST KIDDING!" He shouted. (Okay, Bentley was talking to Teminite online, he told him where he was and Teminite decided to visit him. Teminite wanted to bring MDK with him so he went over to the Creosphere, and picked him up. Creo noticed the two so he decided to tag along. ColBreakz noticed the others leave and followed them.) The event was fun, a lot funner than they expected it to be. They shared music, proceeded to dance to said music and talk about things. (I'm sorry for skipping this event I may add more insight to it later). After that, Bentley, Ahrya and Similar Outskirts, now along with Teminite, headed back through the portal and to the mountains, ready to start the real adventure. "I know I yelled at you and I do hate you for that but, That was actually really fun!". Outskirts said, guiding them to the mountian. "Hey, you know I had to shake up the story, and thats not the first time I have been slapped in this fanfic" Bentley said. "Y’know It can't just be me and Ahrya for every chapter, gotta pay attention to other artists ya know" he said. "Yeah! Because I'm here!" Teminite shouted. "And you can't change that". He declared, his voice echoing through the not-so-dense woods, scaring all the birds away. Outskirts felt like he saw a flash of light out of the corner of his eye. He swore he heard a splash of water and someone scream "DELIRIUM" but maybe that was just a story for some other time. ;) (This is a reference to another story I wrote).

They continued up the mountain, the trees grew smaller and smaller as the forest faded away. The sound of birds chirping and weaving a melody with their voice was slowly replaced with the song of the wind.
"It's a beautiful day isn't it" Outskirts said, "or a good afternoon" he said. "You know I could whip up a storm any minute" Teminite said, "what do you me-" Outskirts asked before Teminite clapped his hands up high and *CRASH* A great bolt of lightning, boomed in the sky. Similar Outskirts shrieked and in a flash, ran and hid behind a rock, shaking with fear. the sound of thunder roared for miles. "Ha ha! Scared by a little thunder eh? I gotcha didn't I" Teminite taunted, generating a pulse of electricity from his hands. "Not funny! You scared me half to death!" Troy said as Bentley proceeded to laugh hysterically. Even Ahrya was giggling a bit. "P-please, d-don't do that again, please" Said Troy, trembling. "Okay, as you wish," Said Teminite. They walked for a few seconds before he called the lightning again, *BOOM* thunder struck a nearby hill. Outskirts let out a screech of fear, before running to hide behind a rock. Ahrya said: "Sam, you're scaring him!" "Yeah but it's funny," Sam said. "True, very true, but it's still kind of mean," Ahrya replied. "Okay fine, I'll stop," Sam said before doing the opposite and snapping his fingers. *ZAP* another lightning bolt flashed again. This time, Similar Outskirts jumped but he didn't scream. "Can. you. STOP!" He barked. "Alright, alright, I'll stop," Said Sam, he was done scaring him. "GOOD! 3 is enough" Outskirts snapped back. He stepped up the path, continuing the journey. Teminite looked a little regretful for what happened, this was kind of a waste of his powers, and the sky didn't have much electricity left; no more thunder for now.
After a while, they decided to take a break near a river. Similar Outskirts was chilling on a pillar of stone, gazing into the horizon. The sun descended below the clouds. Sam rose to the top of the rock, the sharp edges of his cloak were electric blue that faded into black. the electric cape blew in the air, like a cloak of thunder. Troy glared over at him, “What do you want?” he said. “Sorry for scaring you back there, I mean, like, it was funny,” Sam said. “To you it was funny, but it scared me,”
“I am just not used to people getting mad at me for being a chaotic neutral”.
“Understandable, It’s okay, I sometimes do for the sake of humor too”
“I do it all the time,” Sam said, generating sparks of electricity from his hand.
“How do you do that,” Troy asked. “How do I do what, exist, make music, beatbox, BE A PIRATE!” Teminite shouted, “No no no, the lightning,” Troy said, “Oh? You mean this” Teminite said before he turned to the open sky, his hand letting out a burst of lightning that spread to electrocute the air. Outskirts let out a short shriek that quickly turned into an annoyed expression that said “really”. “Okay okay I’ll tell you,” Teminite said laughing. “One day I was struck by lightning, it gave me the power to control electricity. I connected with the storms, I focused on the weather above me, manipulated the electrons and bam! Lightning! I can absorb electricity and channel it through my veins. I can generate electricity and store it, then I’ll let it out!” He explained. “What happens when you run out?” Outskirts asked, interested. “Then I can’t shoot lightning, I’ll have to wait to regenerate more, or absorb it from somewhere else.” Teminite said. “That is pretty cool, I wish I could do something like that,” Outskirts commented. “Don’t have any special abilities, do you?” Sam asked, “Actually I have a connection with animals, I often make friends with them” Outskirts said. He gazed out into the sunset, watching the sun descend slowly. Its light reflected on the lightning bolt shaped charm on Teminites jacket. “Well I guess you could say you have natural talent,” he said. Similar Outskirts let out a little snort of laughter. “Well I’m out” Sam said as he jumped off the rock, his landing was not the softest, *splat*.
“F**K- oooooww, IT HURTS!”. Outskirts carefully climbed down the rock and landed on his feet. He walked over to Sam who was crying. “Are you okay?” Outskirts said. “Yeah, I’m fine,” said Sam, with a sniff. Outskirts reached out his hand to help Sam who said, “Uh, no,” He got off the ground as if all the pain suddenly went away. “This is supposed to be kid friendly fanfic remember, no ships” he said, wiping the tears from his face.
Sam looked over at the river, “Oh, I say we could go swimming,” He said. “Swimming” Troy said, “I mean, we don’t know how deep that is, it could also be cold” Sam stared at him, why did he NOT want to swim, there was nothing else to do really. “Oh sh*t-come on bro, I mean I’m not testing the temperature or the depth”, He said. “And I am also in full clothes, people don’t go swimming in full clothes,” Troy commented, “Well that doesn’t matter, this is a fictional story, everyone goes swimming in full clothes in fiction. So, I am going swimming,” Sam said. “And I am not,” Troy said.
Teminite paused for a second and said, “I’ll be the judge of that'' in the most devious British accent ever. Teminite grabbed Similar Outskirts, around the waist, and lifted him off the ground.“Whoa, what are you doing?” he said. Teminite threw Outskirts across the clearing, sending him directly into the river. *SPLASH* “Sam Norris, what the synth!” Ahrya shouted.
Well, The river was indeed deep enough for swimming, as Similar Outskirts was completely submerged! The water was cold and silent, the sound of the others were shut out. waves washed over his head. Humans don’t just breathe underwater so of course he swam toward the surface. *GASP* Outskirts came up with a gasp for breath. Coughing as the sound of the air came back, “I-it’s c-c-cold” He said, treading water. He paddled toward the shore. Breathing heavily, he climbed out of the cold water.
Outskirts was shivering as drops of water dripped from his white jacket and gray pants. Teminite walked up to Outskirts, who was soaking wet, “I hate you” he said. “Thank you,” Teminite replied.
Without hesitation, Teminite dashed towards the river. His long dark boots clapped along the rock. After stepping on top of a rock, he leaped up screaming, on the top of his lungs, “RAISE THE BLACK FLAG,” *SPLASH* he hit the waves with a splash so big, it hit Bentley and Ahrya with a spray of water. “Ah- hey!” Ahrya snapped.
Teminite quickly came up for air, the waves were cold, but he was getting used to cold water. His long, black and lightning blue cloak floated above the surface of the water. Instead of being angry Bentley shouted: “YO! We going swimming.” sprinting over. He jumped in, screaming “BASSDROP”, splashing water everywhere, “AHHHAAAAA ITS SO COLD” Bentley shouted after he quickly surfaced. “I m-mean, it's n-not that… cold,” Teminite stammered. He swam around, seemingly trying to enjoy it, despite the cold. Bentley swam as fast as he could over to the shore. his legs were kicking water all over the place. After getting back on land he cried “I’M SO F**KING COLD,” and dashed away.
Teminite stayed in for longer, he’d gotten pretty used to cold water, Teminite dove beneath the surface, his swirly, dirty blond curls floating under the waves. He swam around underwater, his cape swirled around like an aquatic plant. Teminite came up for air and with an inhale, dived under again. A few minutes later he was still in the river, he was a surprisingly good swimmer.
“How are you not freezing or something,” Bentley commented, sitting down on a rock, his crimson jacket laid along the rock he was sitting on, its pointy edges still dripping with water. “Good question, I have no idea.” Teminite replied. He was chilling on a rock in the middle of the current. “It feels kinda nice actually, once you get used to it”. He said. “I mean I tried getting used to it, but I prefer not to freeze into a ice cube,” Bentley said. “This water must have come from snow melting up in the mountains,” Outskirts said, walking over to the others, who was still soaking wet. “That would explain why it’s so cold”.
Some time later, the four set up camp in a tiny cave. Similar Outskirts was wrapped in a blanket, working on some tunes. Teminite was drying off and Bentley was trying to start a fire.
“If only MDK were here, It would make this like 100 times easier,” Bentley said, Ahrya rolled his eyes and replied “or maybe it’s because you're soaking wet,” Outskirts looked over saying,“I mean it’s not like MDK is just gonna show up out of no-” “WHO SUMMONED ME!?” MDK shouted out of nowhere. “OH my GOD'' Outskirts said as Ahrya screamed out of fear. “Aaaaaaaand that’s exactly what happened,” Bentley said. “Okay, why are artists just showing up out of nowhere? This isn’t realistic, authors can’t just throw in random characters whenever” Ahrya commented. “This is the third time you have shown up, where the h*ll did you come from?” “I heard y'all kiddos were going on an adventure so I decided to join in” MDK said. "Oh! Morgan! Hey what's up said. "Hello bro. oh, the ceiling by the way," Morgan said, making Sam laugh. Sam stretched out his arms and gave him a little hug, then said: "I meant how are ya doing, long time no see"
"I'm doing nice, but I saw you earlier today"
"Oh yeah, that was sarcasm, kinda, how are things back on your planet"
"Pretty nice, you shoulda seen me take those corsairs down"
"Oh yeah-"
But before Sam and Morgan could continue, Bentley let out a *AHEM* and pointed to the unlit fire. "Oh yeah," MDK said. He walked over to the fire and shot a ember of flame from his hands. The wood burst into flames immediately *WOOOSH*. “AAAA- MY MONSTERCAT” Bentley cried, jumping back from the fire. It nearly set his orange gloves on fire! “Oh! Thank you, that will help me dry off” Outskirts said, glaring at Teminite who said “Oh come on, it was hysterical,”
“For you it was hysterical, because to me, being thrown in a river is not fun”
“Well I thought you wanted to go swimming”
“Dude, I literally said I didn’t want to, also that water was really cold”
“It’s not that cold, once you get used to it”
“Okay, okay what happened here?” MDK asked. “Oh you should have seen it! I threw this guy in a river!” Teminite said, pointing at Similar Outskirts. “Yeah, and I did not like it,” He said. “I can tell, you are wet, so I can infer you were in water,” MDK said.
“So what are we doing here, existing?” he said, sitting down. “We're just taking a break, going into the cavern tomorrow, I think,” Ahrya said. “This is taking a lot longer than I thought, I mean, can we just GET THERE ALREADY” Bentley said, suddenly raising his voice from a whisper to a scream. “Calm down, it has only been two days,” Ahrya said. “Awwwww, you're just crabby aren’t you” Teminite said. “I am not crabby! I just…” “Oh are you sleepy, I’ll try to be quite” Outskirts said. “Maybe some talk about video games would help,” MDK suggested. “I'M OKAY GEEZ!” Bentley shouted, “I am just… yeah, okay I am crabby.” Now that he thought about it, he was exhausted. “Hi crappy I’m MDK” MDK said. “are you f**king kidding me! Ughhhh, I’m going to sleep” Bentley said walking away before MDK said. “Hi going to sleep, I’m MDK” “Can you do me a favor and shut up?!” Bentley said. He took off his red bandana before, laying on a pillow and wrapping himself in a blanket. The other four laughed, “yeah he gets like that sometimes” Ahrya said. Ahrya worked on his tunes while MDK and Teminite continued to banter. Outskirts ate the snacks he brought from home and Bentley attempted to nap. They eventually found themselves tired and went to sleep.
Chapter 5: LETS MAKE THE EARTHQUAKE!!
Chapter Text
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Ahrya bolted awake to a blood curdling scream. The scream came from Similar Outskirts, his face was like a teenage instagram girl after realizing there was no internet connection. Sheer horror covered his face which was as white as the moon. “What happened, are you okay!?” Ahrya said to Outskirts who looked like he was face to face with a serial killer. “I-I-I had a nightmare”. He said “That's okay, nightmares happen,” Ahrya said, as he sat up. "I-I'm sorry I've been having some… bad dreams lately,“ Outskirts replied, his breathing was harsh and heavy. Ahrya looked outside, "Hey, the sun is up, we can start the real adventure now." He said realizing his friend actually woke him up at the perfect time. The sun rose above the hills and shone into the camp, shedding light on the adventurers. “Oh yeah, of course, I kinda forgot about that, I forget things sometimes'' Outskirts said. “Waaaa- what was that noise?'' Bentley asked as he slowly sat up. He was still wrapped in a cozy, cocoon of blankets. “It was Similar Outskirts screaming,” Teminite said out of nowhere, slightly scaring the others. Apparently, he was already wide awake. “Bro, were you watching us sleep!?” Bentley snapped. He had no idea how long Teminite had been there. “Maybe,” Teminite said. He looked over to MDK who was snoring like a microwave in a peaceful sleep. Teminite raised his hand, snapped his fingers and *CRASH!!* lightning flashed, lighting up the sky. “AHHH! What! Who! How! SAM NORRIS!” MDK stammered while Teminite laughed hysterically. And yes, Similar Outskirts let out a little "EEEEP!". They spent the next few minutes getting ready to continue the adventure. After packing up, Similar Outskirts led them up the mountain, guiding them to a new adventure. He searched across the stone until; “Hey I think I found it, maybe, I don't know which one you are looking for,” he said. “You did!?” Teminite said. “FINALLY” Bentley shouted, making the others jump. “That was like an entire week.” he said, “actually, that was two days” Ahrya corrected. They sprinted up to the cave, every step beaming with excitement. Bentley's long crimson jacket waved in the wind like flames. Teminite sprinted to the summit of a grand rock, to view the world from above. He leaped off to the land below and this time, it was a great landing. Bentley recognized it as the same cave they witnessed along with Chime when they traversed this same mountain. It was slightly larger than Ahrya remembered but he could still recognize it. Teminite was shivering, he looked unusually nervous, was he scared? "Okay, guys you found the cave now go on your adventure and I'll go-" Outskirts began before:
MDK: It will be super fun though, don't you want to explore.
Bentley: I'll try not to be obnoxious.
Ahrya: You can leave but it would make the story better.
Teminite: .…
"Okay, okay, I'll go" Outskirts said, there was no way out of this. A moment of silence passed before:
“Well? WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR” MDK shouted, “LETS GO!," ''Well, you could have been waiting for me,” A voice said, It was Creo, the jellyfish who had appeared earlier in the story. Teminite practically forgot he existed. “What! why are you here, why do artists keep appearing out of nowhere.” Ahrya said. “Well, I like mountains, so I like to hang out on them,” Creo said. “Also it is a bit rude to throw people in lakes Sam Norris” immediately, Teminite whirled around and said, “what how did you-?” “I’ve been following you up the mountain,” Creo said. Everyone stared at him, he was a bit older than the others, the other five were in their 20’s but Creo was probably in his 30’s at least. “Wait, have you been stalking us.” Teminite asked, he seemed more curious than concerned, by a lot. “Hmmmm sometimes, only when entertaining stuff happens, I should have brought popcorn,” Creo said, “Bro, what the rhythm” Troy said. “We don't stalk people, that’s suspicious.” "Well, what are we waiting for, let's explore this place,” Teminite said, looking at the cave entrance. “Oh, can I come?” Creo asked. “Okay, the more the merrier am I right peeps! Into the cavern we go!” MDK said. So, Pixel Terror, Affinity, Similar Outskirts, Teminite, MDK and Creo stepped through the entrance of the cave. The cave led into darkness like looming eyes that stared into their souls awaiting their entrance. It was pitch black the only light came from Creo’s arcane magic or MDK’s fire. The sound of their footsteps echoed through the dark halls of stone. Teminite began to start coughing *Cough* *Cough* "dude, you good!? Is this your dang allergies again?" MDK asked. "Yeah… i-it is..." Teminite said. "Uggghh, we should have thought about that before we walked in here." Ahrya groaned. "Don't worry, no allergies are gonna stop us!" MDK declared, confidently marching down the tunnel. Teminite attempted to hold his breath, coughing would make him look weak, and that's the last thing he wanted to be. “Ooooh this is spooky,” Creo said randomly. “I like spooky vibes.” Teminite continued to cough, worse than before, but he still held his breath. Ahrya looked over, clearly concerned. Similar Outskirts, who was far behind the others ran to catch up. Bentley, assumed he wanted to stay with the group, but Troy, dashed to Teminite, who was weezing. "Breath" He said. Teminite was on his knees, through his coughs he choaked up, "I-I can't...the dust“ "Just breath... in, and out," Teminite, inhaled, the dust came in, he coughed. "I see you have breathing problems, just, try to focus, you are strong enough" Outskirts said, Teminite crept over to another place. He closed his eyes, focusing on the air around him, Sam let the air in, and the dust out. In and out. He got up, with a little cough, he looked down and said "thank you. Now, let's keep going." "No, you were choking, you should go back, now!" Ahrya said. "I'm fine okay, these allergies won't stop me. Let's go into the cavern!" Teminite said. A few minutes went by before, "I can’t see, why is it so dark in here?” Bentley said. “A lack of light, I think, light from the sun can’t reach us because there’s all this rock above us,” Outskirts explained. “Yeah I don’t speak science” Bentley said. The cavern soon split in two passages. One was dark and eerie and the other was eerie and dark. “Which way should we go,” Outskirts asked. “Does it matter,” Teminite said, “They’re both the same”. MDK flashed an ember of flame, to light the way into the two caves. “I say right, because it would be the same as going left,” He said. “Welp, right it is” Creo said who didn’t seem to care. So they took the right tunnel. MDK made marks on the wall with his knife, to make sure they would not get lost. Lichen began to glow on the walls, illuminating the tunnel and eliminating the darkness. the six could see without light of their own. “Woah, it looks so cool in here, what is this stuff,” Teminite asked, staring at the glowing plant intensely. “I think it’s glow lichen, they grow in caves,” Troy said. Bentley touched some of it, it felt weird. When he withdrew his hand, The particles stuck to his skin, lighting up his fingers. Bentley looked at his now, bioluminescent hand, he didn’t care if the chemicals were dangerous, it just looked cool. “Hey look, it's on my hand.'' He said. “Bentley, that could be dangerous,'' Ahrya said. “Yeah but it looks cool, I can glow in the dark now!” Bentley replied, showing everyone his glowing hand. “Just don’t eat it,” MDK said. "Wait, I wonder how it tastes," Creo said. Now, MDK was curious as to how it tasted. He didn’t want to get sick but he was still curious. They continued down the glowing tunnel, soon the glow began to fade and darkness closed in. The six found themselves at a dead end, well it wasn’t a dead end exactly, there was a large crack down the middle, some of them may be able to fit. “Well, I don’t feel like walking back sooo,” Teminite said. Bentley crawled through, “Hey I can fit in here, come on!” he said, “Uh are you sure, I think there is a better way” Troy said. “Just do it” Ahrya said as he squeezed through the narrow crack. “O-okay” Troy said. He put his back up against the rock and made his way through the pitch black, rocky crack in which he barely fit into. The darkness blinded him. The rock was scratching his sides and hitting his head. Finally after what seemed like hours of darkness, Similar Outskirts emerged from the narrow passage, and found themselves in an open cavern. Soon after MDK came out and then Teminite. “So uh, what about that jellyfish guy?'' He asked. “There’s no way he could fit through there.” A flash of light came from a tunnel on the other side of the cavern, out came Creo, "oh I searched half the cave for you guys, for a second I wanted to go home" he said. "Uh, how did you find us?" Ahrya asked, "it's simple, I zoomed through the caves, blasted holes in the rock until I found you," Creo said. It was pretty obvious to the other five that Creo was by far the most powerful, I mean, that's just what happens when you overpower your sona. A moment of awkward silence passed before MDK broke the silence with" Guys I can't see sh*t." "Oh yeah, that is s problem" Creo said. A flash of white light ignited in Creo's hands. The flame was woven into a ball of light. Creo shot the sphere into the ceiling and it exploded into a flash of light that lit up the cavern. "Well that is, conveniently convenient," MDK said. The six began to explore the colossal cavern, climbing the rugged walls of stone. bugs and other creatures began to creep around the cave. MDK decided to carve an interesting shape into the wall, for the sake of humor and hoping that someone would eventually find it. *BOOM* Suddenly, A loud noise boomed from the unknown, sending sounds that echoed through the cave. *BANG* The earth began to shake as cracks opened up. “Uh-uh what’s happening?'' Outskirts asked. *CRACK* A tremor burst through the floor, revealing a fall into darkness. *CHIP* Rocks began to fall from the ceiling. A crack formed on a nearby stalactite. it broke free sending sharp rocks crashing down to the floor, seconds away from landing directly on Similar Outskirts! Before he was crushed, MDK leaped in like a madlad and pushed Outskirts out of the way. The stalactite hit the ground like a bullet, shattering in an instant *CRASH*. "Oh wubs are you okay?!" MDK asked Outskirts who was absolutely shook by what just happened. "I-I'm okay but we need to get out of here!" He cried. "This story really likes to drop the beat on you doesn't it" Ahrya said. With another bang, the tremor in the floor widened, the cracks spreading across the cavern. They needed to go, now. rocks began to cave into the hole, the cracks reached Bentley, striking him with fear. The rock under him dropped down and the pit grew near. He screamed, in fear "OH SH*T". Ahrya, who was ahead of the others, was already about to escape, but he wouldn't leave without his friend. He dashed over to his friend. The rock gave way, but before Bentley could plunge into the shadows, Ahrya grabbed his hand, "please, don't let go, I've got you," he cried, holding on with all his might. Teminite and the others were already on their way and Creo was already far away. "Come on, we have to leave!" Teminite shouted. Bentley couldn't hold on much longer, the darkness below called his name. but Ahrya would not give up, he pulled with all the strength he had left in his arms. But when hope shines its light, the rock caves in, and the floor gives way, sending both Bentley and Ahrya plunging into the abyss below…

They both screamed, as they made their quick descent into the deep. Bentley got tangled in a rope that caught him in a web. One rope was tied around his waist and arm and another, around his leg.
Bentley was breathing heavily, "AHRYA!!!" he shrieked in pure horror, "AHRYA, WHERE THE F**K ARE YOU!!!?" "I-I-I'm here," said his cried. Ahrya was hanging upside down by his foot. “What is this place” He said. “I-I don’t know we have to get out of here” Bentley cried, he kicked and squirmed, trying to break free from the rope that bound him. The intense fear fueled his power, making him glitch out of control.
“Do you want to fall down there!?” Ahyra snapped. Bentley looked down, a pool of darkness loomed below them. Horror filled his eyes, he screamed. Bentley began to breathe heavily, trying desperately to calm himself. He felt like he was going to have a heart attack.
He managed to get his hand free, and he gripped the string holding him up. He hoisted himself up to see a platform in which they could land on. Fear strengthened his power, but also led it out of much control. He tried to focus, to grasp control of his own ability. Before long, Bentley teleported over to the platform. He spent a moment catching his breath. He focused on his weapons, but there were no weapons. He grasped the item stored within him and brought it out; His long sword glitched into his hand.
"Okay, time to cut you out," he said, feeling the adrenaline of adventure. "WAIT! I DON'T WANT TO FALL TO MY DOOM!" Ahrya shouted. "Oh yeah, good point," Bentley said, putting his sword away. Ahrya focused, and teleported over to his friend.
He then wrapped him in a tight hug, realived that they were both okay. He didn't want to let go, he just wanted to know, that they were okay. "How are we going to get out of here?" Ahrya cried after finally letting go. The cave was so dark they could barely see. Bentley picked up a pebble and tossed it down to the drop below. Only about two seconds passed before it hit the ground.
"Okay, we can make it". He said before jumping off the platform. "Hey! Wait!" Ahrya called. Bentley grabbed hold of another rope, he took a deep breath and let go he fell a short distance to the ground below. *Thud*. The fall was short but his bones ached. Bentley's nervous system probably hated him for that.
"And he sticks the landing" he said before Ahrya fell directly on him. "Oh! That landing was surprisingly softer than I expected." He said, Bentley responded with "ooowww! I can't breathe." Ahrya got up immediately, he now realized why the landing was so soft.
Bentley slowly got up to his feet. It was so dark they could not see anything. What could be lurking in this darkness? "Uhh, hello" he said, as he stepped through the cave, puddles of water dotted the floor. He noticed spiderwebs on the wall and piles of eggs around the corners. To the right he saw, glowing, green, eyes?. "Where did those come fr-
"SKRREEEEEEEE"
A cry echoed through the cavern. Bentley could make out a shape in the shadows, a face with eight eyes and eight skinny legs. A spider, not just a spider, a giant one. It cried again "SKREEEEE" The spider had its eyes locked on them, ready to strike.
a wave of fear stuck through the duo, but they would not go down without a fight. Bentley drew his sword, he ran forward and slashed the spider's flesh. It cried with pain but before it could impale Bentley, he teleported out of the way and struck the spider again. He barely avoided its next attack, it cut off a small lock of cyan hair off of Bentley's head. Ahrya, focused on the items within. He selected his gun insead of the spear. It materialized in his hands. He shot waves of purple light at the spider, the waves burned through the it's flesh leaving wounds all over it. The spider soon dropped dead. "HAHA! GET RECKED!" Bentley shouted.
*Tip tip tip tip tip tip*
Suddenly, they heard the sound of crawling, something was approaching, and it was not alone.
*Tik tik tik tik tik tik*
Bentley's prideful smile soon turned to horror as hundreds of smaller spiders emerged from the darkness. Each monster with a sinister smile. There were far too many spiders for both of them to defeat. And the spiders were coming, for them.<br />
"RUN!" Ahrya screamed before sprinting away as fast as his legs could carry him. The duo dashed through the dark tunnel with the spider army close behind, getting closer with every second. Bentley’s legs grew tired, and the spiders were only getting closer. The spiders were ready to feast on their prey! But, the food was nowhere to be found, the only thing here is a lake, they disappeared.
The spiders were confused, Oh well mine as well hunt for some other things I guess. The spiders crawled away, back into their little homes. Meanwhile bubbles of air popped from the pond... *GASP!* *GASP!* Bentley and Ahrya burst from the surface of the water. gasping for breath, "Wow, we are really up to our heads in this one aren't we." Bentley coughed up, the water was up to their necks, any deeper and it would be over their heads. "I'm embarrassed… to say I… almost laughed at that." Ahrya said, gasping.
They both spent a minute catching their breath within the dark water. Bentley was about to climb out of the lake and back to the spider tunnel but his friend grabbed his shoulder and said: "The spiders are still there, we have to find anoth- we have to go elsewhere." Bentley stepped back into the dark water. He then turned around, and wrapped his arms around Ahrya who realized he was crying.
"I-I don't kn-know if-if we're gonna.... M-m-make it o-out of... Of this in one piece." He cried. Ahrya hugged Bentley tighter, pulling him close to his heart. "But we're here now," Ahrya said, "We can make it out of here together."
The smallish lake was dark and murky, perfect for hiding in, plus, spiders can’t swim. Thankfully, the water Bentley and Ahrya were submerged in wasn't exactly cold, they could swim, but both of them were exhausted. The two didn't exactly fall very far but they had no idea how to get back and they didn’t know where to go from here. They were lost.</p>
<p>"Is he okay? He seems kinda un alive" Creo said. Teminite just laid there, motionless, he had been unconscious for minutes. The dust was too much for him. Teminite passed out shortly after escaping the earthquake. As the others were running, Teminite was coughing and once they had escaped, Teminite was choking so hard he passed out and fell to the floor. they had to drag him somewhere safer.
Outskirts shook Teminite, trying to wake him, but to no avail. He didn't even make a noise. Creo floated over and slapped him on his cheek, no response, he didn't move a muscle. "Eh, it's worth a try," He said. Teminites face grew uncomfortable, he began coughing, begging for breath, even in his sleep.
"Wake up Sam! Your chicken nuggets are getting cold" MDK said. "NO NOT THE CHICKEN NUGGETS!' Teminite shouted, waking up immediately. “oh, you're finally awake" Creo said in a deep voice.
They were in a small room of rock, they had just escaped the earthquake. "Uuuuggggggh, are you all okay," Teminite asked, not sure if he was himself. “Yes, thanks to MDK, though,” Outskirts answered. “Your welcome, This story kinda hates you doesn’t it?” MDK said. “I’m just the unlucky one aren’t I, I could have been crushed under a rock” Outskirts said. “Well I saved you, because thats, what heroes do,” MDK said. “I mean, they don’t call me the Warrior of Wubstep for nothing!” “No one calls you that” Outskirts replied. “You haven’t read MDK lore have you” Teminite chimed in. “Wait, there’s MDK lore” Outskirts asked.
Before they could continue Creo asked, “Hey where’s Pixel Terror?” He looked around, the only ones in the room were him, Teminite, MDK and Similar Outskirts. But no Pixel Terror (Bentley), and Affinity (Ahrya) was gone too. They all realized that Bentley and Ahrya were nowhere to be seen, which also explains why Outskirts had been feeling a lot better after escaping the earthquake.
“Wait, they're not here,” Teminite asked. “Wait, you’re telling me I’m the only one who noticed they’re gone?” Creo said, “I passed out, I can't really remember much,” Teminite said, "Well, I didn't feel like getting crushed by rock, and I saw them before I ran the heck away” MDK said. “I saw them when it happened, they were there,” Creo said. “I think I saw Ahrya trying to- OH SH*T” He shouted. “What do you mean OH SH*T” MDK asked, “They must have fallen down that hole” Creo said.
Teminite remembered, seeing a hole open up when the earthquake happened, but that was when he ran the heck away and then fainted. Last time he saw Bentley and Ahrya they were running too, so he assumed they made it. But they weren't here, so they didn’t?
“Oh, well that’s not good” Teminite said, “ehh, I’m sure they'll be fine come on let’s go.” he was about to walk into a dark tunnel but MDK hit him and snapped “HEY we gotta save them! They could be in big trouble!” Teminite turned around and replied “I’ve seen what they can do, so whatever ‘trouble’ you're talking about is probably the one in trouble,”. “But It feels wrong to just leave them there, also that was a long fall,” MDK said, “He’s got a point, you know, plus, it's what the script told us to do” Creo said. “Okay I am going,” Morgan said, “Dude, you’ll kill yourself!” Teminite snapped, Morgan looked at him with an upset face, “Well, then I am going too” Teminite declared. "But Teminite your-" Outskirts started before, Teminite said "it's alright, you have to take some risks in life, and plus, gamers respawn," “Well, then I'm going too!” Outskirts said. "I'll stay here in case something happens," Creo said.
After a few minutes of traversing the cavern, He looked down into the abyss. The darkness loomed before them, the same darkness that had consumed their friends. “Okay, who’s going first?” Teminite said, looking at the others. “Not me, I was nearly eaten by sea monsters while trying to get across a bridge,'' MDK replied. “Hey, you're the one who said to do this'' Teminite said before shouting, “Here I go!” As he jumped into the hole and down into the darkness.
Ahyra paddled over to Bentley, he raised his hand from the waves and pointed to the other side saying, “There’s another tunnel over there, now we can just swim over and-” “Do you think they're coming for us?” Bentley asked. They had been hiding in the lake for minutes, they knew if they left, the spiders would come for them. The water was kind of a safe spot for them. “Maybe, but we can’t take our chances,” Ahrya replied. "Just... trust me."
They both swam over to the tunnel on the other side, struggling to keep their heads above the waves. They climbed out of the cold water, dripping with the dark liquid as they stepped onto the rock. They continued into the darkness.
Meanwhile, Teminite skidded down the rock, accelerating into a dash on the wall, he jumped to the other side of the hole and grabbed hold of a ledge of protruding rock. He looked down below. Painted with a fog of shadows, was the bottom. Teminite stared into the abyss, no turning back now.
*CRACK*
The rock began to break, it chipped of the wall sending Teminite on a fall to the bottom. "aaAAAAAHH-!!!! His scream echoed through the tunnels, sending sound through the black labyrinth. *THUD* he slammed into the hard rock. Pain zoomed through his body covering his bones with aching pain. Teminite laid there, squealing the sound of injury. He felt the world turn black as his consciousness slowly drifted away. His allergies came into play, and as the light faded he remembered:
His friends, Psognar, Chime, and Jonah, they way they believed in him, they way Temination looked up to him. And of course, the fact that, Bentley and Ahrya were depending on him. It wasn't time to give up yet. No! I swear I'll hold on, Teminite thought, I have the strength to carry on. He got to his knees, shaking with pain. Before MDK jumps down, he ties a rope to a rock at the top of the hole. They wouldn't be able to get back up without one. He used the rope (which he had with him for too long, waiting for a chance to use it) to slowly climb down the wall.
Suddenly, the wall cut off, revealing a labyrinth covered in shadows. Teminite felt something land behind him. It was MDK, he looked around, where was Sam? he should already be here, He looked down, Teminite was down on the floor, he was hurt. “What happened to you,” MDK said with concern, “I-I fell,” Sam said, “Yeah I can see that, that’s why you don’t jump off, there is a thing called fall damage you know,” MDK replied. Teminite used his strength to get on to his feet, holding on to the wall. “That fall really hurt didn’t it” MDK asked. “Not sure if I need to ask that,” He said.
“Come on,” Teminite noticed the rope dangling from the top of the hole "Oh, good thinking, I forgot that the others couldn't get up on their own" he said as he felt his power returned to him, though the air felt thin down here, but, that would not stop him. “It’s time to rescue our friends.” Teminite's eyes glittered with thunder, turning an electric cyan color.
“AAAAAA-” a voice screamed from above, it was Similar Outskirts. He grabbed onto the rope above the fall. Clinging on to it for dear life. He knew he would have to let go eventually. “Can I get some help,” He gasped, “Just let go” Teminite said. “No, I-” Troy, stammered, his hand slipped, "AAAAAHH-" but before he could fall Teminite caught him. Outskirts opened his eyes. “What happened, did I fall,” You did, but I got you,” Teminite replied.
“Now, let’s save our friends. They continued, down the tunnel, it smelled awful, sticky spider webs lined the wall, and piles of greenish eggs covered the wet, slimy floor.
“I have a bad feeling about this place,” Outskirts said. “A den full of spiders? Nah man, I’ve dealt with much worse monsters than this,” MDK said, a large, black spider with green eyes that cut the darkness creeped from the shadows, only for MDK to shoot it with a burst of flame. The creature burned, letting out a painful screech. “Gottem,” He said. "Oh, that's a bit gruesome, burning someone alive isn't friendly," Troy said. "Well, what else was I supposed to do, it was an enemy," MDK said.
They walked further into the labyrinth, constantly traversing different tunnels and turning back. They soon found a giant spider, it was dead, wounded all over, with blood pouring out. "Eeeeeeh, what happened here." Troy said, horrified.
Teminite noticed that the spider's cuts seemed to have been made by a blade. He looked down and saw something familiar: A lock of cyan colored hair, he picked it up. Almost immediately Teminite knew who it belonged to.
"They were here," he said.
The other two, looked at him, he showed them the hair. "This belongs to Bentley. Him and Ahrya must have killed this spider," Teminite said. "Wow, they really clapped it's cheeks." MDK said. Outskirts was still disgusted.
He heard a little chirping sound from the corner. He glanced over, It was a small, black, baby spider. If Similar Outskirts were completely honest to himself, he'd say it was kinda cute. He walked over, the spider was still making noises, "you lost your food huh?" Outskirts, said to the little spider, "oh, you were chasing them, that's mean," the spider continued to squeal. "They disappeared down this hallway" Outskirts asked. "Oh you saw a lake, and there were two, humans," he turned to the others, "I think I know where Ahrya and Bentley went!" "Uh you talked to a spider," Teminite said. "Just follow me, okay" Outskirts said before dashing down the tunnel.
Teminite let the electricity flow through him, his eyes turned electric cyan as his veins lit up with blue thunder. He zoomed through the cave as fast as lightning. He passed up, Similar Outskirts, giving him a little electric shock. Teminite soon came across a lake, he was this close to accidentally falling in. He stared at his reflection. Teminite noticed that the rocks next to the lake were wet.
"They're here! Or at least, they were" Sam said, looking towards the others. Similar Outskirts, soon caught up, he was exhausted, and breathing heavily. "They were?" He asked. Troy looked into his reflection, his aquamarine eyes staring back at him, like they had a mind of their own.
Sam noticed Troy standing so close to the lake. So he snuck behind Troy who was completely off guard, and pushed him forward. *Splash* Similar Outskirts plunged directly into the dark water, he quickly surfaced, "T-Teminite!" He cried. "Why did you?!" Teminite laughed, and said "oh I just couldn't help it," MDK also began to laugh as Outskirts climbed out of the water, his white jacket dripping with droplets of water. "AHRYA, BENTLEY!" He shouted. No response.
Teminite shot a flash of lightning, sending blue light in all directions.
"Come on w-we have to keep going” Ahrya said. The two were climbing up a steep wall of rock, the stone draining their energy. Bentley could barely keep up, his hands clawing at the endless barrier of rock. He was like a zombie, the only thing keeping him moving was will, and that was running out.
Suddenly, a light flashed from the tunnel they came from. The light was blue and let off the sound of thunder. There was only one place it could have came from. ITS TEMINITE!!! “Ahrya! Look, I think that was Teminite” Bentley said. The light flashed again, the light of hope, along with voices calling their names. “They’re coming, for us,” Ahrya said.
Bentley teleported to the ground, the sound of their friends coming for them filled him with determination (Pulled a sneaky one on ya). With Ahrya close behind, he raced down the tunnel, in which they came from. He heard a voice call his name, the call echoed through the cave.
“Did we take a wrong turn or something, They’re not responding,” Teminite said, “Or are they just dead?" “Or, they went somewhere else,” Outskirts said. He looked at the tunnel on the other side of the lake, He assumed that’s where they went because they were not in the lake.
Suddenly, a voice called “Teminite!?” Similar Outskirts looked up, with surprise, “oh, They’re not dead” He said, realizing he would have to deal with them again. Bentley, followed by Ahrya appeared on the other side of the water. They both looked quite damp, with droplets of water on their wet clothes. “Hey, it’s them” MDK said, “You’re not dead!"
The duo used a series of teleports to get over the lake, as one would not get them far enough. Bentley jumped on Teminite with a surprise hug knocking him onto his bottom with a spray of cold water. “I am still alive!” Bentley said. “I can see that,” Outskirts replied, already walking away. “Okay, let’s go before these spiders get us,” MDK said.
The five continued down the dark tunnel until they found the hole they came from. The rope still hung from above, like a hand reaching into the abyss to pull them out. Outskirts was unsure if he could climb all the way up. "I-I may not be able to get up there on my own" he said. "Oh, well, that won't be a problem for me" Teminite said before charging his thunder and attempting to jump to the top, but it was top high, and there was not enough lightning. "Wha- I can't- I can't get up!" He snapped.
MDK was already on his way to the top. Sam grunted and decided to use the rope too. Bentley and Ahrya came next leaving Similar Outskirts as the last to leave.
"Finally, we're free!" Bentley said, he looked down "SCREW YOU SPIDERS!" "Thank you really, I uh, I thought we would be stuck down there" Ahrya said. "Well what can I say except-" MDK said making a gesture towards Teminite "You're welcome" they both said simultaneously. Creo was on the other end of the cavern. “Oh, your back, I thought you died,” He said. “We didn’t as you can see,” Teminite said. “Wait, have you been waiting here this whole time?” Ahrya asked. “Mayyyybe” Creo replied.
<p>Sometime later, they exited the cave, it was evening and the sun was descending into the clouds. And Monstercat city gleamed in the distance. Ahrya and Bentley wrapped eachother in a tight hug. They held eachother gently, thankful to have escaped the cave.
“It’s gonna take forever to get back there” Ahrya said after letting go, "Don't worry about that, you'll get there eventually" MDK said. Teminite looked down at the ground, thinking of something.
"You know" he said, "Wind Chime ascent is right there, and thats where my friend, Chime lives," "Oh Chime, we made a collab with him" Ahrya said. "Yes, and I visit him often, so, maybe you could come over." Teminite suggested. Bentley and Ahrya looked down to Windchime ascent, then to eachother, and back at Teminite. "Y'know what, yeah. I could really use some cookies after this." Bentley said.
"Well okay then, follow me," Teminite said before dashing off. "Hey, wait up!" Ahrya shouted as he ran towards Teminite, Bentley followed behind. And with another story behind them. he stared out into the horizon.
He never liked when an adventure came to an end, but these three days were the most fun he had had in weeks. He looked up at the sky, he wanted adventure. Even though they are separate artists and will stay that way, Ahrya and Bentley will always be two little bass renegades on an adventure.
