Swerve knew this was a bad idea. He should have put up a fight about being sent on this mission, but he did not want to get in trouble.

Maybe if he kept his mouth shut he would not be trapped in a cave with a Decepticon.

“Hi…” Oh course he could not keep his mouth shut, even in a situation like this.

“Hi?” The Decepticon’s wing twitched, and he sounded awkward when he responded.

“So, what are you doing here?” Stupid question. He’s trapped here, like you areAnd if you keep this up, he’ll be trapped and you’ll be dead!

“I’m supposed to be fighting in a war, just like you are?” It came off as a question. Maybe if he confused the ‘con enough he could survive.

“So, what’s being a ‘con like?”

“Why would I tell a strange Autobot that?” The Decepticon’s stare seemed harsh, and Swerve almost felt himself melt under it.

“My name is Swerve.” Stupid! “Now we’re not strangers anymore!” This was it. He was going to get murdered by a Decepticon because he could not keep his mouth shut.

There was an awkward silence, and the Decepticon gave his a strange look, his wing twitching before he let out a snort of laughter. “Okay, well, I’m Corrin.”

“Oh…” Okay, going better than expected.

“And being a ‘con sucks.” Corrin leaned against the wall of the cave.

“You don’t have any friends?” He did not know why he as asking. You don’t have any friends.

“You don’t have friends in the ‘cons.” He vented slightly. “You have… allies, I guess? People you trust not to stab you in recharge. I have my trine, but I wouldn’t call them friends.”

“Oh…” Fix this. “I don’t have any friends either.”

“Really now?” He raised a brow. “I’d think you’d have lots of friends, you’re certainly friendly enough”

“They think I’m annoying.”

“Shame.” Corrin’s wing twitched. “I don’t think you are.”

“Really?” Swerve was genuinely shocked. How?

“Yeah.” He stood up straight, and moved towards the pile of rocks keeping them trapped. “You’re sweet. It’s a shame the other ‘bots can’t see it.”

There was suddenly voices from the outside.

“Corrin, you in there?” It sounded like it belonged to a femme.

“Yeah.” Corrin sounded annoyed. “You mind getting me out?”

“Are there any Autobots in there?”

Starscream. Swerve felt his spark drop.

Corrin gave Swerve a look, and then turned back to the pile of rocks. “Nope, I’m the only unlucky glitch to get stuck in here.”

There was laughter from the other seekers outside as they mocked him. That was followed by orders to blast the cave open.

Corrin leaned towards Swerve. “Stay hidden until you’re sure we’re gone.”

Then, light.

Corrin made his way outside, and Swerve could hear Starscream chewing him out for being an embarrassment and the femme mocking him for the same reason.

Swerve leaned out ever so slightly as the sounds of voices and thrusters faded.

He wondered how wrong it would be to want to see a Decepticon again.

Corrin tapped his foot nervously, occasionally looking up at his former commander turned emperor.

It was strange, the feelings had never really hit him until now. He supposed that he had always thought Starscream was attractive, but he would never act on it, if only because he thought Starscream hated him. Last night, however, proved that wrong.

“You okay?” Corrin jumped, quickly spinning to look at Windblade, who seemed just as surprised by his reaction as he was by her voice. “I’m gonna take that as a no.”

“No, I’m fine!” The words came out too fast and too loud, and Starscream looked over at the two of them, although he seemed to opt out of bothering them for the time being. “Maybe…”

Windblade followed his line of sight, and glared when she saw where it landed. “Did something happen with Starscream? If something happened I want to help.” Her hand on his shoulder was comforting.

“No, I just… well, maybe something did happen…” He shuffled awkwardly. “What do you do when you’re pretty sure someone was overcharged when they confessed to you?”

Windblade seemed stunned. “You’re kidding, right?”

Corrin sighed and shook his head, wings dropping awkwardly. “He called me in the middle of the night cycle clearly overcharged and I… don’t know what I’m supposed to say to him now…”

“What did you say to him last night?”

Corrin cringed. “I… told him to try again later and I guess I worded it badly because he got mad at me.”

Windblade looked at Starscream with a barely concealed glare. “If he was that serious about the confession, he’ll tell you.”

Corrin nodded. “Yeah, I guess you’re right.”

A week later, Starscream still had not brought it up. In fact, he had not said anything to Corrin.

And so, Corrin decided that it was time to take things into his own hands.

Waltzing up to Starscream’s office should not have been as easy as it was, and he momentarily wondered if Starscream was allowing him in, though the thought was dropped when he finally reached the door, he knocked, and waited until he heard the faint, tired voice from inside call him in.

Starscream had started to talk, but the words died on his tongue as he realized who had entered his office.

“We need to talk.”

There were little clues that told Corrin he knew what he was talking about. The nervous twitch of his wings. The unnaturally rigid posture. “This… can’t wait until later?”

“I waited already, not waiting anymore.”

Starscream’s wings twitch. “Oh?”

“We need to talk about last week.” Corrin crossed his arms.

“I’m not quite sure I know what you’re talking abou-”

“Cut the scrap, Starscream.” Corrin took a deep invent, calming himself down.

“Like I said, I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“So, we’re just going to ignore the fact that you called me while overcharged to tell me you love me?”

Starscream’s face became hardened with a glare that did not quite reach his eyes. “What’s the point? You made it perfectly clear that you didn’t feel the same.”

Corrin took another invent, trying as hard as he could not to scream. “I said I wasn’t going to listen to anything you say at the time because you were overcharged. That’s not me rejecting you, that’s me caring about you actually knowing what you’re talking about.”

Starscream’s wings dropped in embarrassment as he clearly attempted to look anywhere but his fellow seeker.

“Do you mean it or not, Star?”

Starscream looked up at him and then buried his face in his hands, mumbling something Corrin could not quite make out.

“Huh?”

“I did mean it, and I still do.”

Corrin smiled. “Good, because if you’re okay with it, I’d love to go on a date.”

Starscream collected himself, smiling his normal cocky smile. “Of course you would.”

Corrin took note of the genuine delight in his eyes and smiled just as genuinely, his spark fluttering excitedly.

Pharma was never really very good with other mechs. It was his personality, many had said, and it seemed to be proven as time went on.

But that did not stop Corrin from attempting.

Pharma had to admit that he had been rude at first, and he was not sure why, but he had been crueler to Corrin during his attempts, he just had been.

Looking back now, it was obvious to him.

Corrin greeted Pharma as he walked into the hall, heading towards his office. He paused as he passed by him.

“Could you come with me for a moment?”

Corrin shrugged, but nodded, smiled, and followed.

Pharma waited for Corrin to enter before closing the door behind them, locking it, just to be safe.

“Everything okay, Pharm?” A nickname Corrin had given to him that he had always pretended to hate.

“Yes, but I have something… important to say…” Corrin gave a comforting smile, but Pharma turned his back to him, venting deeply. “I’ve realized that I have some… feelings for you. And I… I don’t know… maybe I’ve always loved you.” It was quiet, and Pharma cringed ever so slightly. “I just needed to get that off my chest, and I want you to know that it won’t get in between our friendship, and-”

Corrin let out a snort, interrupting Pharma’s rambling. “Dude, if you’re gonna confess your love to me, at least let me respond.”

Pharma glared slightly, nudging his chin towards him. “Okay then, respond.”

“I like you too.” He smiled. “And, if you’d like, maybe we can spend some time together after you get off.”

Pharma vented deeply once again, and smiled softly. “Meet me here.”

Corrin walked over, planting a soft kiss on Pharma’s cheek. “Sounds great.” He headed for the door and unlocked it. “See you tonight!”

Pharma waited a moment before he let his full smile reach his face. It had been so long since he had felt like this.

It was nice.

Are you trying to offline yourself? Because I think hanging upside down for this long will do that.”

Prowl scoffed, a small smile on his face. “It’s meditation, I figured you’d know that since you’ve been living here since you onlined.”

“Last time I saw someone meditating like that, they ended up falling.” Corrin continued to dig around the room for something he seemed to have lost.

“I’m better than that.” Prowl crossed his arms, voice clearly showing his confidence even if Corrin would not turn to take a look at his face.

Corrin rolled his optics, side-eying Prowl in disbelief. “Okay, yeah, sure.”

“What, annoyed because you can’t?” Prowl smirked.

“Oh, you’re so sure you won’t fall?” Corrin smiled back, almost mockingly.

“Of course.”

Corrin leaned in, planting a quick kiss.

Prowl, complete shocked and slightly dazed, moved his legs slightly, collapsing to the ground with a loud, painful sounding thud.

“Master Yoketron was right, you’re too cocky for your own good.”

Prowl groaned, forcing himself to sit up as Corrin waved mockingly and left the room.

Chapter Text

The notice from Professor Sumdac that a Cybertronian ship was landing was enough to cause concern amongst the small ragtag group of repairbots. It was even more concerning when the ship was noted to clearly not be an elite guard ship, meaning that some other Cybertronian was landing.

When the doors opened, the last thing Optimus and Ratchet (the two who had gone to scout it out) had expected was what appeared to be the tiniest minibot they had ever seen, even smaller than Bumblebee.

There was a moment where they looked over the two, as if looking for someone, before they finally spoke up. “Excuse me, do you know where Bulkhead is?”

Optimus opened his mouth to speak, but Ratchet had beat him to the punch. “Well I’ll be damned, I don’t think Bulkhead was lying to us all those times he mentioned a conjunx.”

“Oh, he’s talked about me?” The minibot’s cheeks flushed slightly, as if surprised that he had mentioned them. They gasped suddenly. “That means you’re part of his team right? He’s told me all about you guys!”

The two looked at each other out of the corner of their optics. Not how they expected their day to go.

Bumblebee did not even look up from his game when Optimus and Ratchet reentered the base. It was only when Bulkhead let out an excited gasp, followed by an unknown voice, that he looked up.

The minibot he saw was no one he recognized, shorter than him and various shades of pink.

Optimus smiled awkwardly. “I’m assuming you all remember the stories Bulkhead told us about his conjunx back on Cybertron?”

Sari stared wide-eyed, and Bumblebee felt himself nearly reboot when he heard.

The minibot reached up, motioning for Bulkhead to lean down to their height, the large bot doing so with no argument. The pink minibot peppered kisses all over his cheeks, a bright smile on their face. The team could faintly hear Sari make the same childish gagging noise that they had heard human children do when their parents showed any kind of affection towards each other.

Once they stopped, Bulkhead stood up straight, smiling to the group. “I can finally introduce you all now, this is my conjunx Corrin!”

The team, still completely stunned, simply waved.
