Stuff for my Upcoming Story, Including Votes, Spoilers, and more! Also News About my Works.

Summary:

This started as a place to put stuff about Across Time and Space, but I'm sorta using it as just a place to put news and votes right now.

Participation is never obligatory, but would be appreciated.

Chapter 1: Vote

Hey, guys. 

 

Being sick and having writer's block at the same time isn't fun, so I'm making something fun!

 

You know how I have votes in some of my stories? Yeah? Well, I'm making a vote right here for Across Time and Space! You'll get two things to vote on, and, of coruse, it's not obligatory!

 

1. I need to kidnap a person. This won't affect the story long-term (or maybe it will?), but it will give a special insight to whichever character is chosen!

Options: Killer, Horror, Dust, or Cross.

 

2. This isn't so much a vote as a contest, but there's still a voting aspect. I need to name a cat. The cat will be one of those cute little black ones with the white paws that look like they're wearing socks. My cliche name is Mittens. If you want a cat named Mittens in the story, let me know. If not, the maker of the best name will be credited when the cat shows up. Keep in mind that this cat will be a secondary character and will show up in several chapters and the epilogue ;)

The cat vote may also have a second round if I get more than one name that I can't live without.

Chapter 2: Vote Results and Story..Trailer? Can Stories have Trailers? I Dunno, but have a Trailer Anyway.

Yeah, Killer's getting kidnapped with five votes. Cross and Dust both got one vote, and Horror got two. Killer wins the right to be kidnapped. 

As for the cat vote, a few of you want the cat to be named Mittens, and two of you chose the name Socks. Others had name ideas that I love, so we're going to have round two. Choose wisely. Also, if you suggested a name, you can vote for it again here; I'm just crediting the people who suggested names because you all deserve credit for these!

Okay, now for the trailer that I mentioned in the chapter title! Pretend this is a movie trailer, guys. Get your popcorn and pretend this is a tv now. You are watching tv. And eating popcorn. Popcorn is good. It's buttery, too, but not too buttery. Perfect popcorn.

*Dramatic zoom into scene, a prison cell. Nightmare's gang is present, with Classic standing in the doorway*

 

"We had a trial." 

 

*cut to Nightmare *

 

"..What is our sentence?"

 

"You're being exiled."

 

*cut to Error*

 

"Exiled from..where?"

 

"The entire multiverse." 

 

*dramatic spinning into portal as echoey voices speak*

 

"It's going to be all right. I'm here, and we're safe; that means the others are safe too, right?"

 

"Can ya play chess?"

 

"What if..there are other us's here?"

 

"You're a wanted criminal; it's my duty to take you in."

"I didn't do anythin'!"

 

"..War?"

 

*bright white light flashes, to show a large building*

 

"Do you see that building over there?"

 

"It's just a highschool, Dad."

 

"A highschool, which might contain something we need to create a portal out of here."

 

*another flash, this time showing a giddy Ink*

 

"So you need a way to build a machine that will let you track your family members to whatever multiverses they landed in, come back, and then, when you're all together, use the machine to get back to your home multiverse before everyone  dies?"

 

"Yep."

 

*a third flash, showing an unconscious Killer*

 

"You hit him way too hard!"

 

"You told me to knock him out!"

 

"You almost cracked his head open, dummy."

 

*fade to one of those trailer ending screens*

 

Across Time and Space

Coming whenever I get around to it.

Hopefully before 2023.

 

So yeah. That's the trailer. I also made sure to cut out names of speakers so you don't get spoiled!

Wait, I have to put in at least one obligatory spoiler..okay, got it.

Ink isn't the villain this time.

Also, I just realized that there are two Killer kidnappings in this story. One already happened, and the other is what you guys just voted on. Huh. Weird. I guess we're all in agreement that Killer should always be the kidnapping victim, lol.

 

Anyways, I can't wait to read your comments and get this cat's name! I hope you guys are as excited for this as I am, because I'm super excited, and it would be weird if I was the only excited one...yeah..

Chapter 3: Cat Vote Conclusion and Some Other Stuff That Requires Your Attention.

Well, the cat vote is certifiably over.

The results are as follows:

Buttons: zero votes.

Claws: zero votes.

Mittens: one vote.

Gloves: two votes.

Socks: three votes.

 

With this being the case, the cat will be named Socks! 

 

I was originally going to wait until I actually wrote the chapter with the cat, but I'm having some writer's block right now, so I figured that it would be all right to end the vote now. The story will probably not be coming out before 2023, sadly. 

Howeverrrr....

It's November, which means that next month is December. I always do a Christmas special. With this in mind, what story do you guys want this year's Christmas special to take place in? (Yay, more voting!) Your options areeee:

A Hidden Heart,

Brightness in Bondage,

or 

Redemption.

 

Why these three, you may ask? Well, A Hidden Heart is obvious, no need for explanation. In Brightness in Bondage, some fluff might be nice, especially during Ink's redemption arc. For Redemption, I just wanted a third option, and it might be funny to see a sassy octopus handle Christmas. 

I would have put You're a Dad Now; Deal With it. as an option, but that has only two chapters right now, and it's too early for that.

Also, I'll just be doing a oneshot/relatively long chapter this year; I went way too overboard with Avid Adopter's Christmas special last year, and I don't feel confident in my abilities to do that again. So yeah. That's a vote. 

 

Last thing before I conclude this: how would you guys feel about my writing an interactive fic? I've seen other people do things in which the comments are part of the story, but I've never really seen anything in which the comments guide the plot; I might be interested in trying that, if you guys want me to. I'm not sure how it would work yet, but I have tried it in the past (over a year ago, before I started using Ao3) and it didn't really work out so well. If you're interested, let me know; I'd be willing to do a round two, with a coherent plot that the comments can manipulate this time-

Forget the concept. How would you feel about the comments controlling the multiverse? You would be the Creators. You would be able to interact with the world and change it to your whims. It would be utter chaos. It would be epic. Instead of the Creators being characters in the story, they would be real!

Chapter 4: Our Multiverse?

The comments being creators thing is happening. I've read your comments and taken your thought into consideration, and since everyone who brought it up except one person liked it, it's happening. 

The story will be called Our Multiverse, and I will release it..probably in a few minutes, unless someone needs me for something before I can hit the upload button!

I think I've got the mechanics figured out, and all you'll need to do is read the rules and start creating! Please read the rules. The rules are important. 

So..yeah. I look forward to seeing you there!

The vote for the Christmas special will last until Thanksgiving, and at the moment, A Hidden Heart is in the lead by one vote.

That was a close race, but A Hidden Heart ultimately wins. So I'll do that, then!

Chapter 6: Christmas Special 2023

Hey, there.

 

So, uh, I'm not dead. I'm just..very demotivated. And, unfortunately, this is not an update regarding my next updates. 

 

I'm not making a Christmas special this year. I know I've always managed one in the past few years, but I'm just not really motivated this year. Sorry.

 

I've been going through some irl stuff, and, apparently, it's hard to write fictional characters having a merry Christmas when you're not having one yourself. 

 

I will hopefully be working on GG and HH (really screaming at myself to do so), and, if we're lucky, I'll get around to BB. Sorry for this not-so-jolly information.
