TW(?): Drama Queen Cheng Xiaoshi
It's been a week since Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi made it official. No one else knows about it but the two...and Lu Guang's cat.
Nothing major has changed. Lu Guang was pretty normal about it. Though...Cheng Xiaoshi on the other hand was worried that someone would find out sooner or later.
They acted like their usual selves on campus and in the dorms at least... Most of the time to be fair.
...
It was mid-afternoon and Lu Guang was working at the Library at his usual time. Not many students came since it was a Saturday afternoon. It was mostly elders and some professors who came in and out of the building.
"Guang Guang!" The bell rang as Cheng Xiaoshi came through the doors. Lu Guang lifted his head from the computer, an eyebrow lifting upwards.
"What are you doing here in the afternoon? Especially on a Saturday." The white-haired male leaned back on his chair, rolling it back a bit.
"I came to pay you a visit since no one ever comes here unless it's a professor or an elder obviously." Cheng Xiaoshi leaned back on the desk smiling. Lu Guang leaned forward to ruffle his hair.
"That's not like you." He teased. The shorter male stuck his tongue out.
"Whatever. At least let me kill you some time as you work." His hand started drifting towards the small desk gate to the other side.
Lu Guang was convinced to do so since he worked late today. Cheng Xiaoshi didn't waste any time and jumped into Lu Guang's arms.
"I hate it when you work late." He mumbled into the taller male's shoulder. The other snickered.
"I enjoy it here." Lu Guang said as he leaned back in his chair, Cheng Xiaoshi still holding onto him.
"Shut up. Just work with me at the bar! You'll get a higher salary in less than two weeks!" Cheng Xiaoshi said seeming pissed. Lu Guang faced Cheng Xiaoshi and pecked his lips.
"We both know I hate working with rude customers."
"You get rude customers here daily, idiot."
"That's different..." Lu Guang uttered. Cheng Xiaoshi hummed in response as he hugged Lu Guang tighter.
"You're such a party pooper."
"That's what you say every time."
"Yet do you complain about it? No." Cheng Xiaoshi waved off. The rest of the time was comfortable silence as Lu Guang worked.
...
"Lu Guang! Cheng Xiaoshi! Do you guys have any idea where Xu Shanshan put my—"
*Tumble*, *tumble*, *thud*.
"I didn't ask for some stupid German Textbook Vol. 2! I asked for Vol. 1! Don't you have any idea how long a trip a took just to come here and pick up my book?!"
*Slap!*
Cheng Xiaoshi shoved passed Qiao Ling as he walked away furiously. Lu Guang was now on the floor with a hand against his right face cheek. Qiao Ling ran up to him stunned. Who knew Cheng Xiaoshi would get so mad over a German Textbook...
"Lu Guang! Are you alright?!" She kneeled to him, giving him her iced tea drink to use as an ice pack. Lu Guang's eyes were still in shock from the sudden action his boyfriend performed.
"Uhm, I guess, yeah I'm ok?" Qiao Ling let out a sigh of relief.
"I guess Cheng Xiaoshi is just a little heated at the moment, huh?"
"I guess so? He's not usually like this when he's this heated." Qiao Ling looked back at his cheek where it was slapped. She hissed squinting her eyes. "That's gonna leave a mark..." The black-haired female pulled out her phone camera to show Lu Guang. She was damn well right. That mark was gonna be there for a good three to five days. A small buzz vibrated on Qiao Ling's phone.
"Oh shoot! I'm gonna be late for my meet-up with Xu Shanshan! Later Lu Guang!" She said as she ran out of the library.
"Lu Guang. If you don't stop the bickering with your friends, I'm gonna have to mark that as a strike." A tall female said.
"Sorry, Ms.Lisa. I won't let that happen again." He bowed in sorrow. She nodded before leaving. A chime was heard from his back pocket.
It was a notification text from Cheng Xiaoshi.

Lu Guang set his phone down next to his computer, a thought wandering in his mind.
"How did she know Cheng Xiaoshi was here?"
...
"Lu Guang!" Cheng Xiaoshi ran into Lu Guang's arms once again. A huge smile planted on his face. The taller male took a few steps back from the sudden act. "I haven't seen you in the past 6 hours! Time went by slower than Xu Shanshan and Dong Yi holding back their confessions for each other!" He uttered. Lu Guang blinked a few times before comprehending what he said. A sigh was heard.
"Let's just order our tea and get out of here." He grabbed Cheng Xiaoshi's hand, dragging him to the small shop a few blocks from them.
"Hello, welcome to Chi-Chi's Tea Shop and All! What can I get you?" The cashier asked cheerfully.
Creepy... And it's late in the evening.
Cheng Xiaoshi thought a little creeped out. It took them a brief moment to decide.
"We'll both take Thai Tea, thank you." The dark-haired male said. Cheng Xiaoshi handed the lady his credit card. She slid it between the computer slot before handing it back to him.
"Your orders will be right with you!" She smiled, walking into the back.
"She's kinda creepy for a college student working this late in the evening..."
"Leave her alone. Not everyone can pull a smile and good attitude on when working in the evening. Reminds you of someone?" Lu Guang said firmly. Cheng Xiaoshi rolled his eyes, putting his card away.
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say." He complained like a teenage girl, crossing his arms.
"Here are your guys' drinks!" The cashier announced. Cheng Xiaoshi gave the cashier an unpleasant look as he grabbed his drink. "Uh...enjoy and come again!" They said their thanks and bye as they left.
"I tell you Lu Guang...she's creepy." Cheng Xiaoshi whispered.
"I'm not gonna deal with this today." Lu Guang said, taking a short sip of his Tea.
The two found a nearby place to sit down and talk about whatever came to mind. During mid-conversation, Lu Guang intertwined their hands together. It caught Cheng Xiaoshi by surprise, a smile forming on his face.
"Wow Lu Guang, I never knew how romantic you could be~" The shorter teased. Lu Guang's eyes squinted a bit.
"Is it not ok?" He asked. Cheng Xiaoshi couldn't help but laugh.
"It's fine!... But coming from you is so much more different than what you see in Romances!" Another laugh escaped Cheng Xiaoshi's lips. Lu Guang put a hand over his mouth hiding the fact he was blushing. Their hands are still intertwined.
...
"Ugh...I'm stuffed! We should've never gone to that buffet. I'm on a diet this week..." That female voice sounded familiar to Cheng Xiaoshi. Then suddenly it hit the black-haired male who it was.
Xu Shanshan!... And possibly Dong Yi with her.
His instinct taking over, he smacked Lu Guang's left face cheek this time. Shouting,
"We've been friends since High School Lu Guang! I can't believe after all we've been through, you still act like a doofus towards me!" Cheng Xiaoshi roughly grabbed his Thai Tea and threw it onto the cement ground. Some splattering on Lu Guang.
Again, he shoved past Xu Shanshan and Dong Yi, irritated. Though after storming past them, his facial expression changed from stubborn to guilt. Now Lu Guang was off his chair, on the ground, and leaned against the table just as blood dripped from his nose.
Cheng Xiaoshi...
"Lu Guang! Your nose! It's bleeding!" Xu Shanshan quickly took napkins from the table and patted the blood off his face. Dong Yi helped Lu Guang up from behind, patting his shoulder.
"Are you ok Lu Guang? After seeing that, the slap must've been pretty firm." The brown-haired male said. Xu Shanshan frowned.
"Cheng Xiaoshi needs to control his temper today. I heard he slapped you earlier this afternoon over some German Textbook." She handed the bleeding male a couple more napkins so he could wipe himself down.
"Right...he did. It's all good now. He wanted to apologize by treating me to something. But by the looks of it I—"
"Acted like a doofus towards him? Yeah, we got the memo." Dong Yi interrupted. Xu Shanshan nodded.
"..Anyways, thanks for checking up on me, but I've got studying to do tonight."
"Oh...well, bye guess, Lu Guang" The redhead waved along with Dong Yi. Just as Lu Guang was far out of reach, Xu Shanshan commented, "Dong Yi is it just me, or is Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang closer than before?.. Like, more than best friends?" Dong Yi pushed his glasses up.
"They seem close like usual. I mean, isn't Cheng Xiaoshi a pretty touchy person with everyone?"
"I guess, but with Lu Guang, his touch has always been...divergent?"

The next day felt uneasy. "Why" you may ask. Well for starters, Lu Guang has been working nonstop the whole day, leaving Cheng Xiaoshi nothing but alone. Lu Guang only worked nonstop because he couldn't stand to face another one of Cheng Xiaoshi's unpredictable slaps.
"Lu Guang. You've been working really, really well today...but you look tauter. You should take at least a two-hour break." The Library manager told him.
" Ms.Lisa, that's very generous, especially coming from someone like you, but I don't need to take a rest at the moment." Lu Guang said back. He bowed respectfully, declining her offer. She nodded unsurely.
"Hm, oh well. That's a pity... Guess I'll just have to tell your friends about your little secret relationship with that boy who came by yesterday afternoon." Lu Guang clicked his eyes up at his manager. "Ooh, and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't I see you two making out in the back of the building instead of studying just last week?" She snickered. Lisa slowly made her way to her office. "But you know, I'm the more generous one here, so I'll tell them at an appropriate time." The tall male quickly stood up.
"See you tomorrow Ms.Lisa."

"Lu Guang, you didn't have to help restock the shelves. I could've simply done it myself y'know?"
"No offense Auntie, but you're too short and can barely lift my cat who weighs 20 pounds." He responded, putting up another box of ramen on the shelves. Lin Zhen awkwardly chuckled.
"I guess, since you're doing that, I could run and grab a couple of the ingredients for my noodles with Yi Xia. There's this new market that just opened up anyway." She took her purse and slid on her shoes before leaving the small noodle restaurant. Lu Guang continued to do his job as time flew by. Once he turned around to stack some cans, he found his boyfriend in front of the entrance. His mind froze as he took 3 feet worth of steps back.
"Erm...I see you didn't open the texts I sent you..." Cheng Xiaoshi's eyes drifted to the ground — lifting his phone to show the text messages he left. Guilt is what ran through Lu Guang's veins. He cautiously made his way over to Cheng Xiaoshi. He cupped the other's face making their foreheads touch.
"Just promise me you won't smack me anymore, ok?" The white-haired male said. Cheng Xiaoshi gazed back up at Lu Guang, a smile taking over.
"Promise." They hooked their pinkies with each other as they .fell into each other's gazes.
"Sorry Lu Guang, I think I left my phone on the coun—"
*KICK*
"Next time you try kissing me, I'll kick you in the crotch, idiot! Please forgive me Lu Guang for this..." Another kick was heard, making Lin Zhen and Yi Xia rush to the white-haired male who was now on the floor for the third time this week. "Keep your hands to yourself next time! He stormed out through the market doors with his fists balled up together.
I'm definitely getting the silent treatment later...
"Lu Guang! What on earth did you do to make Cheng Xiaoshi do this to you?!" Yi Xia questioned while Lin Zhen lifted him. "Did you actually try kissing him?!"
"...There was something in his hair so I thought I'd get it out for him, but by the looks of it, I probably came in too close to his face — making it look like I was about to kiss him." Lu Guang lied. The two women ahead of him were still baffled. He took his white cardigan off revealing an already bruised mark above his elbow.
"Now if you excuse me, I'll need to get going. I need to talk to a specific someone" He waved at the two before leaving the market.
"Kids..." Lin Zhen put her palm to her face.
"That's why I'm never having any."

(Time lapse to 23:00)
Lu Guang made his way to the water fountain near the cherry blossom trees. He spotted Cheng Xiaoshi sitting on the edge of the fountain — his legs swinging back and forth.
"Cheng Xiaoshi" He called out. Cheng Xiaoshi gazed at Lu Guang. From the white-haired males' point of view, Cheng Xiaoshi's eyes glistened in the moonlight as a smile appeared on his face. A smile that could possibly kill the heart of someone.
"Lu Guang!" Cheng Xiaoshi shouted with a gleaming smile. Lu Guang only took a step forward, ready for Cheng to jump on him. BUT of course, nothing has gone right for the two all week.
"Stop him!" Three people dragged Lu Guang into their arms, guarding him. Two others holding back Cheng Xiaoshi.
"Wha- Qiao Ling?! What're you—"
"Oh shut it! You well know what's happening! For the past 24 hours, you've been slapping and kicking Lu Guang!" Kinky. She yelled.
"What—"
"Sorry Cheng Xiaoshi, but you harming Lu Guang cannot go on any longer!" Yi Xia argued back. She tugged on Cheng Xiaoshi's jacket, causing him to move farther from Lu Guang. Cheng Xiaoshi tried shoving the two females off but had no chance of escaping any time soon.
"We were just meeting up!" Lu Guang shouted, trying to get past Xu Shanshan, Dong Yi, and Lin Zhen. Failing miserably. Xu Shanshan tugged him by his hair, leading him further from the other college student.
"Why would I hurt him if I'm dating him then?!"
"Because you're a drama queen!" Qiao Ling blamed once more.
"Lu Guang!" "Cheng Xiaoshi!" They both shouted trying to grab each other's hands but only touching the tips of each other's fingers.
*TUG!*
...
In the end, Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi never made it together. They were separated.
...
The next day was annoyingly stupid. Cheng Xiaoshi was on his way to the Library to visit Lu Guang but was stopped by Qiao Ling and Yi Xia.
" And where are you going? Don't you have studying to do?" Qiao Ling put her hand an inch away in front of Cheng Xiaoshi's chest.
"To visit Lu Guang?" He questioned. The conversation sounded like it was gonna get Cheng Xiaoshi nowhere near Lu Guang by the end of it. Qiao Ling brushed his response off.
"You're funny Cheng Xiaoshi. But you are going nowhere near him. So I suggest you run along before something bad happens in return" Qiao Ling told the other. Yi Xia pushed Cheng Xiaoshi away.
" By the way, you won't be able to visit him from now on." Yi Xia said.
"Why—"
"I and Lin Zhen will come and accompany Lu Guang during his shift hours since Qiao Ling, Xu Shanshan, and Dong Yi are only here for the next few weeks. Meaning, you won't be allowed to visit the poor boy." The blonde woman also said. Cheng Xiaoshi's eye twitched.
"You know you both are making my life living hell, right?"
"Great!" Qiao Ling took the time to smile and then continued, "Just what we were going for!" Cheng Xiaoshi stuck his tongue out at her, Qiao Ling copying. Yi Xia shook her head.
"Why..."

The pale man hummed in the quiet area. Though, something felt off. He paused and looked around the front entry, then his watch. It was already 13:06. Usually Cheng Xiaoshi would appear by now. The bell of the door rang. Lu Guang lifted his gaze up to the person, and instead of seeing Cheng Xiaoshi, he saw Xu Shanshan with two others. Not a moment later, he walked up to Xu Shanshan.
"Xu Shanshan, did you happen to see Cheng Xiaoshi on your way here?" He asked. Xu Shanshan thought for a moment then smirked.
"Outside dealing with Qiao Ling and Yi Xia. But don't worry. He won't be able to hurt you now. Isn't that great!" She whisper-shouted. Dong Yi and Lin Zhen nodded. The white-haired male's face expresses change.
"Idiots..." He uttered under his breath.
"Did you say something Lu Guang?" Lin Zhen questioned. He shook his head standing up straight. When all this was over, he was gonna murder the five for this scold them afterward.
...
It was already dusk, and the bar Cheng Xiaoshi worked at was open. Meaning, Lu Guang could grab a drink and talk with him for a while. Though, downhill, as usual, Yi Xia and Dong Yi popped out of nowhere.
"Hey, Lu Guang! You come here to drink?" Yi Xia practically yelled. Lu Guang shifted his body away from her.
"Yes, actually." He firmly stated.
"Why come here to an expensive place when you could buy beer from your local market?" Dong Yi said, raising an 8-pack box of beer. He placed an arm around Lu Guang's shoulders, dragging him in the opposite direction of the bar.
"It's alright Dong Yi and Auntie. But I wanted to grab a drink and talk with Cheng Xiaoshi. Alone." He clarified the last part. They laughed before continuously dragging the white-haired man.
"Cheap beer is better than Cheng Xiaoshi, Lu Guang. Now, let's go. The night isn't getting any younger!" Yi Xia announced with her arms springing out in the air. Dong Yi whispered to Lu Guang,
"She's not gonna last the night. So don't fret too much" The white-haired male didn't respond but looked back at the bar one last time.
"I miss him though..." Those were the last words that came out of Lu Guang's mouth.

"Something the matter Cheng Xiaoshi?" He slid another cup of beer to a customer before replying to Lin Zhen.
"Nothing much but you and the others separating me and Lu Guang!" The male silently shouted only for the two of them to hear. Lin Zhen sighed taking another sip.
"Sorry kiddo. There's nothing much I can do, to be honest. All I can do is guard and talk to you" She took a sip of her water. It took a couple of moments until Lin Zhen continued. "But if I were you, I'd run off at midnight to meet up with my partner,...just a thought though..." Lin Zhen said, crossing her legs with the liquid in her left hand. Cheng Xiaoshi smiled smugly.
"You're right Lin Zhen. Thanks." He thanked the women before setting another glass down.

It was nightfall and the moon shined upon the campus students. A white-haired man was walking around at this time, looking at his phone and then at the area multiple times. Perhaps he was looking for something...or someone. Suddenly, he spotted them. From Lu Guang's perspective; Cheng Xiaoshi seemed pretty down. Must've been from all the shit they both went through today. Cheng Xiaoshi caught Lu Guang's gaze, pulling his famous smile almost making Lu Guang drop to his knees. He jumped into his arms, tears forming from the corner of his eyes. Lu Guang dropped his head onto the top of Cheng Xiaoshi's head. He smiled silently while hugging back.
"You should know I'm not one to break campus rules by staying out this late."
"Bastard. Don't ruin the moment." Lu Guang lightly brushed the other's hair, kissing his forehead afterward. Words couldn't describe how flustered Cheng Xiaoshi was. Lu Guang buried his head into Cheng Xiaoshi's hair, resting his head on top of it.
"We're gonna have to tell them sooner or later, Xiaoshi." Lu Guang muffled through Cheng Xiaoshi's hair. Cheng Xiaoshi hid his face in Lu Guang's shoulder, groaning.
"Technically I already did. They just didn't bother enough to care since they were too busy trying to split us apart!" Cheng Xiaoshi scoffed, raising his head up. Lu Guang tipped their foreheads together.
"I reckon we show them then." He whispered as he pecked Cheng Xiaoshi's lips.
"Stop. You're acting too cheesy now." Cheng Xiaoshi turned his head the other way. Though- he couldn't help but laugh at the other's attempt at flirting. "You're even more corny than me, Guang Guang.." Cheng Xiaoshi kissed Lu Guang's lips this time.
"Guess I can't say the L-word then."
"What do you mean by "L-word"?" The ravenette asked cluelessly. Lu Guang raised an eyebrow half-smiling. "Oh my god Lu Guang... You're being so childish!"
"What?"
"Don't "what" me! You know exactly what you're talking about!" He slapped the side of Lu Guang's arm.
"By that you mean..."
"Love! You bozo!" He sighed irritably. As usual, though, he couldn't hold his poker face and laughed once again. "You're too cute to be coming up with a stupid slang Lu Guang.."
"At least I tried." He sighed, smiling. Lu Guang took both Cheng Xiaoshi and his hands. "I love you Xiaoshi." He said, kissing both his hands. Cheng Xiaoshi gave in.
"Aiya... I love you too, Guang.."
...
"Should we jump in or..."
"No. Let's let them have some space for a while. After all, we did cause a lot of commotion for something we already knew about."
"But we were trying to test their love if it was really pure."
"You're not wrong... But you're also not right."
"Shush, Qiao Ling!"
"Well, that's because you don't stalk them enough, Xu Shanshan—"
"C'mon, let's actually leave guys. It's inappropriate to be spying on them this late anyway." Dong Yi dragged the two females out. Lin Zhen and Yi Xia followed from behind.
