Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Chapter Text
The Devil knew one day the world would fall into ruins. A celestial war, it was prophesied long before his father had created humanity. Long before hell had its ruler and army of demons at its master’s call. Long before he fell through the known universe, crashing into soil and under the earth, falling into the lone pits of hell.
It was prophesied long before Samael took on the name of Lucifer, but it didn’t stop the fact that the universe falling would be on him. He was the poison of God, it was predestined. Lucifer had always fought his destiny, his purpose as an angel. Lucifer was forever tainted by the souls he was destined to destroy. All of his father’s projects that had failed and had flaws not of his own design he had sent Samael to end, whisk the broken and imperfect souls into the endless void.
As an angel, Samael had never thought about those souls, it wasn’t his job to think, only act to do works in his father’s name. As Lucifer, he thought a lot as he was creating the stars, Mikael would be close by, creating black holes in the universe. To counteract the stars, Mikael would say, balance the universe. Samael adored his time with his twin back then, if you found one of the twins the other wouldn’t be to far behind. Counterbalancing each other, orbiting each other, like the stars the two had created.
No matter how far or hard Lucifer tried to run from his destiny he knew deep down the universe’s end would fall on him. Innocent lives would be uprooted and ended because of his actions. His stars would die out, all Samael’s hard work would be lost to the limitless time.
Even the devil didn’t know what was to come after that happened. No one did, not even a selfish god.
If Lucifer were to guess when the universe was going to end, he would’ve said a month ago. When their father who had been so keen on ruling over his universe and his children had walked off, retired into their mother’s own universe. Not giving any instructions for the universe going forward, nor a directly said angel to take over his role. Causing a split in his own children, causing the twins to go against each other, millennia after millennia of hate that had established between the two. It was the twin’s war to wage, who would take over the heavenly throne.
Will would always win over Creation. It was just how the cards had been dealt.
He wanted no more blood on his hands, he might not have the full power Samael once had held, but Lucifer still had power. He was the king of the infernal domain. He never wanted a war; he wanted the safety for the humans he cared for. To Lucifer, he thought that was the best option. His twin’s blood he didn’t want on his hands, he might have killed the love of his life, but in war there were always casualties.
Severing off Michael’s wings had been punishment enough to Lucifer. Amenadiel had been the one who said he would take care of Michael after, which Lucifer assumed was back to the Silver City.
Lucifer didn’t want anymore blood drawn with Azrael’s blade, Samael’s blade. He needed Amenadiel’s necklace with the angel again, away from the humans he deeply cared about, before he lost another soul forever.
Of Course, Chloe had other ideas.
She had been carrying the necklace of strength since the battle at the coliseum. He understand she enjoy the safety of it, the divinity that came from it in a gentle hum. The devil should have known better than to let his human love keep hold of the celestial object.
“Oh, Chloe. I am so sorry.” Lucifer should have realized that even a miracle wouldn’t be able to let go of divinity in her grasps. “I should have seen this sooner.”
She looks down at him, as she had stood and walked away from sitting next to him on the bed she turns at the entryway to the bedroom. The blade within her grasps as the necklace was in her pocket. He looks up at her, eyes glazed with sadness.
“Why are you sorry?” Chloe has confusion lacing in her eyes, but Lucifer could see the look of madness within her. He had seen that look in so many other humans, those who had been lost with knowing the truth. Her gaze looks to the blade within her grasp. “This makes me feel strong and I don’t want to give that up.”
“And clearly you are too attached to the strength the necklace gives you when the blade is here.” Lucifer says, side eyeing the blade in her hands. A blade that could destroy his very being. The flaming sword had been a gift from Michael eons ago. Their father had broke the gift into three pieces, but humans were never to hold it in their hands. His Detective was no different.
“No, I’m fine. I can control it.” Denial laced her voice. Slowly, the devil stood up, eyeing the sword in her hands.
“Can you? Because I’m starting to think the only reason you’ve pushing so hard on this case, Detective, is because you don’t want to give that power up.”
“Well, you’re wrong.”
“Chloe.” The devil’s voice wavers in the air a hint of fear. “You don’t understand. This is a divine object of power. One that should not be even be on earth, it needs to go back to the silver city where it belongs.” Where Samael’s memory and blade can rest. It was left unsaid, but Lucifer knew that’s what he wanted.
“Well, I think you’re being a little dramatic and everything is fine.”
The devil tensed, gritting his teeth as he spoke. “You’re not in control now give me the blade.” He goes to reach out to grab the handle, but Chloe grabs his wrist, their eyes lock in place. Lucifer could have sworn he saw some light glimmer in her eyes. She grabs the labels of his vest, before turning them to pin him to the wall. The strength from the necklace giving her the power to forcefully hit the devil against the wall of the doorway. Lucifer tenses at the impact as his back collides with the stone wall, making it crack under the force. He hesitates a moment or two before pushing Chloe off of him by her shoulder. Fear laces into his eyes as she turns her body holding onto his arm, flipping him out of the doorway and into the main part of the living room. Lucifer is dazed as he lands on his back, his wings itching to protect him again.
“I know what I’m doing, and you are not taking it away.” Lucifer looks up at Chloe in the doorway before she steps out and towards the elevator of the penthouse. Lucifer scrambled to his feet, before teleporting to the other side of the room, grabbing Chloe’s wrist before she can walk off. The partners’ eyes met again, Chloe looking more angrier as Lucifer looks more determined to take the blade. “Lucifer, don’t make me hurt you.”
No words are passed between the partners, before Chloe smacks Lucifer’s hand from holding onto her. The two struggle for half a minute before the blade is thrown out of the detective’s hand and onto the floor of the penthouse. Lucifer looks to the blade before moving towards it, Chloe fights him every step of the way as he turns around and dodges her attacks head on. In a last ditch effort he pushes her off his wings unfurling behind him to protect him. He gives a deep rumble growl coming from his throat. He watches his detective, who scrambles to her feet again.
“Chloe. Chloe!” His voice breaks as he hears a loud yell come from the detective as she charged towards him. He dodges more of her punches, before the front of his vest was grabbed by the human, and he’s flipped over her head and he’s on his back on again on the floor his wings uncomfortable as his body weight lands on them. In the corner of his eyes he can see the detective scramble to grab the blade before sitting on his chest, her knees pinning his wings to the ground. His eyes are in fright as he feels the sharpness of the blade is stabbed into his chest. He takes a shaky breath, almost a wheezy laugh. He watches as the detective’s eyes shift into confusion and guilt.
“…Lucifer?” She sounds unsure of herself. “Lucifer what happened?”
“I told you Detective. You had no control.” He voice is shaky, he’s losing a lot of his blood, and his soul feels cracked. He takes a sharp breath. “Oh my stars, this is how I die.” He whispers looking up at the ceiling. It blocked his view from the stars.
“Die? What? No, No Lucifer you can’t be serious!”
“That blade was Samael’s long time ago.” Lucifer states, leaning his head back to look up at the ceiling again. “It was a gift from Mikael, a gift for the Lightbringer. Only if he knew it would become our own downfall.”
“No, No Lucifer you can’t leave me!” He saw Chloe move unpinning him from the ground. Lucifer gaze slowly look towards her, seeing the tears in her eyes.
“Detective, I have no choice in this matter.” Is his gentle reply, He coughs as more blood spills out of his body. “My death was always predestined, long before humanity existed. Maybe this is why you’re a miracle.” He coughs a bit, looking at the blade that was deep in his chest. “Tell the urchin I adore her, and I’m sorry.”
“No. No Lucifer stay with me! You have to come back to me!”
“Detective I can’t. It’s the blade of death for a reason…. They cease to exist…” His voice trails off into a cough. He can see a darkness that clouds his vision. The void of death. He takes a shaky breath, before the emotionlessness of death surrounds his soul, departing him out of this mortal plane. Faintly he can hear the cries of the women he thought had once loved him.
~*~
The cobblestone paths of hell shook beneath Michael and his scrubbing toothbrush against the warm floor. The archangel looks up to the skies of hell, seeing the cloud of ash rise.
Something was wrong.
Michael slowly stands, his whole body protesting as he moves. He gets the strength to his feet, though he stumbles with losing his balance, not used to his wings not being a part of his being. He takes a sharp breath as his shoulder locks; he eyes the sky again.
Suddenly a cold breeze passes by his form, it makes him stumble by the force and power behind it. It acts as if it’s panicking, looking for something amongst the demons and endless hallways.
Somewhere, in the back of his mind, he hears his answer.
The Breeze is Hell and it’s looking for its master.
It’s looking for Lucifer.
He gives a low whistle that bounces off the pillars of hell’s domain, it’s a sound that doesn’t deserve to be in hell, it’s far too heavenly sounding; Michael’s angelic nature so used to the breeze in the silver city as its prince. He notices the ash stop, it settles into the cobblestone floor for a second, almost frozen before it moves towards the fallen archangel, curling around his form.
Where’s Lucifer? He hears the whisper right into his ear. He’s used to how the City talked, and it seemed hell was no different. Where’s Samael?
Michael expression turns into one of confusion. He knew Hell would always be able to recognize where Lucifer was, even if he wasn’t in his own domain. “Is he not on earth?”
Do not sense his light. It seemed Hell was also cryptic. He pulses for a few seconds, thinking over Hell’s words. He stumbles back against the pillars of obsidian, his back hitting a sharp part of the rock formation, he holds a hand over his chest. It feels as if something had severed, as if another part of him was disconnected.
Lucifer.
“Guide me.” He states, Hell seems to understand what he’s asking. It moves away from him, before starting down the hallway. He follows the ash as it leads him through the endless hallways towards the center of the endless maze. A few demons stare at the archangel but avoids interacting with him, probably in fear of the domain itself leading him. He’s guided to the base of the throne, he looks up at it, realizing how lonely it truly looks. He looks to the breeze, before turning towards the breeze itself.
“Get me a demon who can contact Mazikeen of the Lilim. If anyone knows what happened to Lucifer it would be his bodyguard.”
He watches as the ash starts down a different corridor than the one they had came from. He holds his hand over his chest, feeling his being again, he sends a silent prayer towards Lucifer, hoping both his and the infernal domain was wrong.
He didn’t get a response.
He hears a demonic growl from down the hallway, he turns around, seeing red glowing eyes slightly taller then he is coming towards him. Emerging from the shadows that the corridor cases he see huge paws who make the ground shake beneath it, sharp nail like claws that click against the stone. It’s mouth is opened, large sharp teeth that look slightly too big for its mouth. It has jet black fur, which contracts the dark gray ash that Hell is littered with. Somewhere in the back of Michael mind he feels the fear that radiates off the demons close by.
This must be Lucifer’s personal hellhound.
He sees the breeze cast over the beast’s fur, stopping between the archangel and the great beast. The massive beast sits behind where the ash settles, but eyes the angel in front of it. Michael can tell in that moment that the hellhound is well trained, and probably walks the far halls of the domain by the gates by the way the beast holds itself. It listens listens to the domain’s command, but eyes the archangel with red eyes. It knows he is not Lucifer.
The Beast will listen to the angel’s command until its master is found. He hears the soft whispers echo. It will not harm said angel, unless the domain it was created in deems it necessary.
He gives a short nod, his back straightening as he steps forward towards the hellhound. The beast itself doesn’t flinch, but the fire in its eyes watches him intently. He raises a hand slowly, placing it in front of the dog’s face but not daring to touch the beast. The beast eyes his hand, before moving its head to touch his hand. Michael takes a breath, closing his eyes. The beast’s name echoes into Michael’s mind.
“Find Mazikeen of the Lilim, Cerberus. Find what happened to Lucifer.”

Chapter Text
The ground shook beneath the great breast as it walked through the gates of hell, a blinding light passes through its eyes. It senses the demon’s scent as it steps through the realms, moving towards the scent to angle its entry into the earthly domain closer to the once bodyguard of its master. It steps onto the earthly soil, its claws into the mud as it steps through the portal it created. It shakes as the portal closes, the ash flicking off its fur. It changes its form as it does, shadows moving off of it as its form becomes more solid. It shifts into a wolf hybrid, it still towering over the ground as it moves. A chain appears around its neck, a pentagram pendent lays against its chest, on the other side was the carving of its name. Cerberus.
The Dog sniffs the air, holding its head high as it takes in its surroundings. It keeps a deep growl within its throat as it eyes cast over the earth. Bright red eyes glaze around it as it sniffs, sensing the smell of ash that all demons had. The red eyes glow brighter as it finds it target, bounding away as its huge paws hit against the soil giving a loud growl as it starts into the heart of the city, out of the forest that was away from most of humanity.
The hellhound followed the scent to a small condo complex, sniffing the earth following a trail. It gets to the gates of the complex. It stops, before shifting, as dark shadows bleed out of it and forms onto the other side. A motorbike sits in a parking spot, it pats over to it sniffing it. It smells the demon on it, before taking off to one of the doors. He sits, before giving a bark.
The beast hears shuffling on the other side before the door opens revealing a female in a red dress. The scent of the demon is strong on her, but fear over takes her as the hound passes by her in the doorway, entering the apartment.
“Maze! Maze, there’s a wolf!”
It listens as the demon turns from one of the other rooms, entering the small foyer space. Big eyes glow red seeing the demon it was tracking as the beast rushes towards her. The demon is taken off guard with the force of the attack, the blade she held dearly taken out of her hand. She’s tackled, big paws held her chest to the floor as two glowing eyes stare down at her, growling as drool drips from its mouth.
“Cerberus, Off.” Maze commands, pushing against the hellhound above her. The wolf takes a second before it does as the demon commands of him. Maze sits up, looking to her fiancée who looks frightened at the scene in front of her. Maze groans before standing back on her feet, before grabbing her blade and looking into the beast eyes. “Cerberus, Sit.” The beast sits at the command, staring down the demon in front of him.
“…Cerberus?” The hound looks to the human again, fear still lacing her eyes as the beast moves its head to look at her. “That’s a hellhound, right?”
“He’s Lucifer’s hound.” Maze states, dusting the ash from the hound’s paws off herself. “Though he’s supposed to be guarding the gates of hell.” She looks to the wolf, who’s sitting watching the two interact. “Cerberus, this is Eve.”
The wolf stands before patting over to Eve, sniffing at her. She smells like apples and Mazikeen, but the wolf can smell the whiskey and ash that Lucifer came back from earth smelling like. She tenses as he sniffs, raising a hand in front of her. Cerberus, deeming her not harmful, moves to nuzzle his muzzle against the human’s hand. She lets out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. Maze looks between the two before moving to stand beside Eve.
“Cerberus, why are you on earth?” The wolf looks towards Maze, tilting his head before the chains around his neck started to glow red about like it was burning. He barks, before pawing at the flooring in front of him. Looking down when he’s pawing before the shadows behind him turned into big wings behind him. Maze raises an eyebrow. “…Lucifer?”
The wolf nods before the shadows around him absorbs back into its form. It looks to Eve then back to Maze before starting to the door, sitting down and staring down the demon. The demon rolls her eyes before grabbing her helmet.
“Maze?”
“I’m going to take the dog to Lucifer’s. The hound wouldn’t be up here unless something was wrong.”
“I’m going with you.”
Cerberus gives a low growl towards the human. Maze shakes her head and she pockets her phone and holds the helmet on her hip. “No. If the hound’s on earth it’s an infernal issue. I cannot let you go with me.”
“Maze-“
“Eve, trust me. I don’t want you to be in the crossfire of whatever is happening.” He watched as the human pouted, before the demon kissed her gentler than the hound had ever seen Maze. “I will call you if you need to come get me, or it happens to be a bounty.” That seems to calm the human down, but her eyes still look sad.
“Promise me.”
“I Promise.” Maze gives another kiss to the human before looking to the dog. “Come on, Mutt. Let’s go.”
The dog follows Maze to her motorbike, the demon sits on it and starts it as the hellhound stands beside her. “Hope you’re up for a run, Cerberus.”
~*~
Samael?
Peace washed over the Lightbringer. He felt his wings behind him, gliding up and down as his hands twitch to life, as if he’s playing a piano at his side.
Samael?
The devil feels nothing around him, as if he’s floating into the outer regions of the universe. He hears two voices talking, one male, one female. They both sound far away and underwater to him.
“…Is that Lucifer?”
“Seems like it.”
“He looks so… different.”
“He gained all his powers back.”
He knew those voices, his senses slowly coming back to him. “…Uriel? …Remiel?” But those beings were gone. He knew that. “No, no. You two are gone.”
He heard Uriel voice laugh, so light and passionate, like he was when they were younger, and the universe was brand new. “I’m afraid you’re mistaken, Lucifer.”
Slowly he opens his eyes, to more darkness, but he can see the two celestials a bit away from him, standing. One has light gray wings the other has brown wings; Uriel and Remiel. Uriel gives a slight smile. “Took you long enough.”
“…Where am I? Why are you two here?” He looks between the two celestials, behind him, he sees human souls, spheres of light that were floating behind them, as if they were guarding them. The two angels look to each other, before looking back to Lucifer.
“What do you remember, bother?” Remiel asks first, noticing how Lucifer’s wings shifted behind him as his expression changed.
“I remember being with Chloe, with the sword of…”
“Death?” Uriel hints. “It’s not quiet death, Lucifer. This.” He refers to the darkness around them. “This is a whole new universe. Seems like that blade does more then what we all thought.”
“The blade. I was trying to get the blade away from Chloe.”
“You mean that human chick that Michael told us was going to be your downfall?” Lucifer gives a glare to Remiel, who shrugs her shoulders.
“We’re not starting fights, Remy.” Uriel rolls his eyes, looking to Lucifer again. “Lucifer you know the origins of the flaming sword. It was yours correct?”
“It was Samael’s yes.” Lucifer replies, looking between the two angels. “But it was created by Michael as a gift.”
Uriel gives a knowing smile, before smirking towards Remiel. “I told you.”
The Huntress rolls her eyes as Lucifer looks between the two, confusion crossing his face. “What are you two talking about?”
“The flaming sword was created by the power of creation for the power of will, correct?”
“Yeah? And?”
Uriel makes a motion with his hand, has if waving it off. “Well in doing so you two created a blank universe, that blade is the key to getting here and whoever dies from that blade ends up here.”
The universe.
“I have to get back there.” Lucifer takes a step forward in the air, not used to how his body felt within the universe itself.
“Lucifer, it’s a one-way portal.”
“You don’t understand, Uriel. The universe is in danger. The people I-“ He hesitates for a second as the thought of the detective crosses his mind. “The people I love are in danger because I’m gone. Our Siblings are in danger!” The urchin, little Charlie, the good doctor, Eve, Maze. “Hell will realize I’m gone. It will go looking for me on earth, and my stars will learn that their Lightbringer is gone, they will burn themselves out in depression. Humanity will end because Sol has turned his back because a human killed its creator.”
“Lucifer you can’t think like that. Our siblings will figure out a way to save the universe.”
Lucifer shakes his head, not believing Uriel’s words. “You don’t understand, Uriel. Dad’s gone, and now the universe is without an angel with the power of Will.”

Chapter Text
The Penthouse elevator dings as an eleven-year-old steps out, she’s looking at her phone as she steps out, her bookbag hanging off her shoulder as her eyes are focused on the small screen in her hands.
“Hi Mom. Hi Lucifer.” Trixie states as she moves across the floor, setting her bag on of the barstools. “Can we get Pizza for dinner?”
“O…Of Course Monkey…” She hears her mother’s voice Shakely say. She looks up from her phone, looking to where her mother was on the floor in the living room of the penthouse. Trixie could see a sword sitting within arm’s reach, beside her mother she can see the figure of a man laying on his back, two beautiful wings under the figure, they were red that had painted the wings.
Lucifer.
“…What did you do?” Trixie felt the sickening feeling from seeing the angel. “What did you do to Lucifer?”
“Monkey….”
“No! No! You killed Lucifer!” Trixie steps back, towards the elevator. “He loved you! You killed an Angel, Mom! You don’t understand how Bad This is!”
“Trixie.” Chloe stands up, before looking to the blade on the floor. Trixie backs away slowly as Chloe comes towards her. “Trixie it’s alright.”
~*~
Cerberus kept up with Mazikeen as she led the Hellhound towards Lux, traffic was pretty normal for the early afternoon, Trixie probably just got there from being dropped off. They turned into the alley that was behind Lux, moving into the private garage that was behind Lux that was for employees and where Lucifer stored his personal cars. Maze pulled into the parking spot between Decker’s car and Lucifer’s Corvette not surprised the two were home. Cerberus starts towards the elevator as Maze turns off the bike, getting off of it and placing her the helmet beside the bike, knowing it was safe in the garage. Cerberus growled towards the demon, and Maze just rolled her eyes.
“Cerberus, I get it. Give a few seconds you dumb hound.” Maze grabs the keycard from her wallet, scanning It with the keycard scanner to unlock the elevator. The doors opens with a soft ding. Cerberus walks into the confined space, shadows creating up the walls of the lift. Maze steps in as well turning around to face the doors as the elevator closes. The hellhound comes around to her shoulders in height, it’s body almost curled into the small space of the elevator. Maze slowly raises her hand towards the beast, and he moves his head to touch.
It had been a long time since the hellhound had seen the demon, and the demon was one of two that didn’t fear the king’s beast. He gives a low grumble that almost sounds like thunder, as red eyes look towards the doors of the lift. Mazikeen knew that growl; one that warned of danger, death, and destruction.
Mazikeen senses the area around her, she can smell the scent of Hell’s ash behind her on the hound, but she smelled death somewhere in the place, as well as a scent of fear.
She hears a growl behind her and a high-pitched bloodcurdling scream that is muffled by the doors and structure of the building. Maze knew that pitch, hearing the screams that had been from happiness before.
Trixie.
Mazikeen felt the beast behind her starting to bare his teeth, and maze grabbed her knives, flipping them so the blades weren’t covered. Taking a guarding stance ready to attack when the elevator attacked, in case it was another attack on the family.
The elevator’s door opens, and before Maze could take in the scene in front of her the hound tackling a blonde haired women who was one her knees in front a body on the floor, tackling the human into her back. Cerberus pinning the human with massive paws, the claws threatening to pierce the human flesh. Mazikeen looks to the scene in front of her, blood trails from the corner of the bar to where a body was dragged. Maze’s eyes trail towards where the blood leads, finding a curled up smaller human.
“Trix!” Maze rushes over to the small human, moving her to look at her injuries. Her breathing are labored and shaky as unfocused eyes stare up at the demon.
“…M…Maze?”
“Little human, what…?” Maze turns to look at Cerberus who is bearing his teeth an inch from the women’s face, who’s eyes are glossy and filled with a mix of sadness and insanity. She can tell it’s Chloe from where she is. She can see another body, a bit farther away from where the two are she can see another body, who’s laying on his back and she can see once bright wings that were dyed with blood, not moving.
Not humming with light around his form.
“What the Hell Did you do, Decker?” Maze shouts across the room.
Chloe looks towards Maze, her eyes still distant as she moves her head against the tile of the penthouse, the hound keeps her pinned as unfocused eyes looks towards the demon. “I killed him. I didn’t-, God, I didn’t want to! But it’s so nice to be so Powerful!” She hears the maddening laugh from Decker, one Maze was used to hearing from the ones who were in the halls of Hell. Cerberus growls louder as she laughs, eyes glowing at it stares to the human soul. Maze knows Cerberus knows who killed the Lightbringer, that she had brought the fallen angel to the blade of death, ending his being and tearing his light until it dissolves into nothingness.
She hears Chloe scream, and the women grabs the blade just within her reach as glowing eyes pierce into her soul. The blade slices into the hound’s fur, cutting the shadows behind its neck. Maze rushes over, making sure Trixie is comfortable in her state as she grabs the blade from the human, tossing high into the wall above the Tv closer to the ceiling. Maze will get it down later. The hound yips and growls at the pain but doesn’t stop marking the human’s soul. Mazikeen watches the hound before reaching into Chloe’s pocket, grabbing the necklace of Strength Amenadiel once held.
“This thing?” Mazikeen taunts, holding the necklace just above the women’s head. “This is what your addicted to?? This thing should’ve even be here, Decker! Neither should the blade! You just killed two beings with it! You killed the Lightbringer, Decker!” Maze hears a noise behind her, she turns her head towards Trixie. “You killed your own Child! And believe me, that’s the worst thing you could do!”
“What…What do you mean...?”
“It’s the one thing Michael and Lucifer can agree on; You hurt an innocent child, especially one chosen by an archangel to protect, Heaven and Hell will not be merciful. It goes against our Laws.”
“…But those books! He’s the Devil, Why would he-!?”
Maze picked up Chloe by the front of her shirt as Cerberus shuffles off the human, staggering towards Trixie’s body. “You want to know what the story is behind those images of the devil with children? Why the fallen angel took those small souls throughout history? It’s because of their mother’s misdeeds, it was her curse that We had to bear! Those Children are the Lilim; My siblings and myself! We were reformed into demons because Samael couldn’t sit back and watch innocents die! It’s a Law that all demons have to live by, it’s why Lucifer was so livid with the demons, Children are not to be harmed or caught in the crossfire!”
Maze looks towards the hound who curled around the small human’s body for her comfortable. Being hurt by the blade, Maze knew no one could help the child, but if anything could Cerberus would be the answer. “Cerberus, Stay guard. I’ve got to call Amenadiel.” She tosses Chloe onto to the couch, glaring at the human as she reaches for her phone, calling Linda’s number. It takes a few rings until the good Doctor answers.
“Maze?”
“Hey, Tell Amenadiel to get his feathered ass to Lux.”
“Wh- What happened?”
Maze looks to Lucifer’s body who was still on the ground. Her breath hitches as she looks at Cerberus protecting the human’s body, giving comfort to the child. “Something bad. Amenadiel needs to know first.”
Maze can hear Linda take away the phone from her ear, and the shout to the angel. He can hear him shout back and Maze hears Linda shout back; “I don’t know, Maze just said to get your Butt to Lux!” Linda gets back on the phone. “He’ll be over in a few moments.”
“Thanks, Linda.” Maze clicks her phone off as she hears the flap of wings landing on the balcony,. Turning, she sees Amenadiel furling his wings back, stepping inside. She watches as Amenadiel takes in the scene in from of him, the angel’s eyes widening as he steps into the main room of the penthouse. As he does that Maze walks over the Cerberus and Trixie, seeing the small human’s eyes look up at her as the demon kneels. Slowly the small human raises her hand from the hound’s fur to Maze’s hand. Maze takes the hand into her own. Amenadiel looks to Chloe; who’s sitting on the couch eyes distant.
“What-?”
“Decker killed him, and Trix’s soul is cracked.”
“…Chloe’s soul is marked.”
“Cerberus did that.” At the mention of his name Cerberus looks up, seeing the Angel of Time standing at the doorway. Amenadiel’s eyes widened even more.
“Maze, why did you bring his hound?”
Maze gives a scoff. “I didn’t. Cerberus came to me looking for his master. Now are you going to be actually useful or are you just going to stand there with a feathered stick up your ass?”
Amenadiel moves deeper into the room, looking at Lucifer’s body who’s laying on the ground. Cerberus starts to growl as Amenadiel comes closer towards the three. “Cerberus, it’s okay I will not hurt you.”
Cerberus growls louder, showing teeth. Maze looks a bit confused between the two; knowing Cerberus is supposed to listen to angels.
Unless the domain of hell told the hound otherwise.
“Amenadiel, Don’t. Cerberus will not listen to you. He will hurt you if you step closer.”
Amenadiel rolls his eyes, but stays a bit away.
Trixie coughs, trying to sit up in her pain as blood comes from her mouth. “Trix.”
“Where… will I go?” The innocence in her voice makes the demon tear up.
“I…I don’t know.” Maze says honestly. “I can’t tell you, no one knows.”
“I don’t want to be a-alone…” Trixie’s voice trails off as her eyes look distant.
“Someone will always protect you, Beatrice.”
Trixie nodded, before looking up at the ceiling, before the light fades from her eyes.
A howl is heard from the penthouse as an innocent soul departs the universe; one of the children the Lightbringer protected was gone, as his hound mourned their death. The howls echoed through humanity’s ears, telling ever soul to mourn the lost. The animal kingdom pulsed as it hurt the Hellhound’s howls.
The howls echoed through the dimensions and the domains of the dead. The Silver city pulses in its time, mourning the lost of a bright young soul it will never met.
The Infernal domain trembles from hearing its gatekeeper howls. The demons pulse in fear and the ash of the domain pulses, as if its listening.
Michael looks up towards the ceiling of the Hell, watching the ash swirl in festering anger. The howls echo within his soul, words echo within his head as the hound’s temporary master.
Beatrice Espinoza is gone.

This is a slightly shorter chapter that mostly focuses on Lucifer.
Chapter Text
Lucifer would admit there were few things that got under the Devil’s skin. Satanists, for one. Twisting his image to nullify their own twisted desire of wanting to hurt another being. To see the blood on their own hands and deem it all in his name. He wasn’t evil; he Punished evil.
The sound of silent annoyed the fallen angel long before humans started using his image.
His domain at least had the sounds of screaming damned souls, the growls of the demons who he ruled over, and the sounds of his Hellhound walking the halls or guarding the gates.
Here, in this vast new universe, was the silence that made the archangel want to scream. It was why his stars made noise.
Why are you adding sound? No one will hear them out here.
We will, I will know my stars sing for their Lightbringer and ring with joy for their creator of their forms.
Within this vast universe, there was no Creation, so Will was next to useless within this vast blank universe.
“Lucifer.” He sees Uriel coming from the direction the human souls were kept track of, light gray wings keeping the angel of patterns balanced. It had never been Uriel’s job to come into the space of the void, so Lucifer was quiet surprised how at peace Uriel flew in the void. “Lucifer I think there’s a human soul you need to come see.”
Lucifer rolls his eyes, looking back into his hand where he held a small flame of light in his hands. He sighs as it shoots out of the Lightbringer’s hands into the void, but dies on impact with creation’s power. “What is it?”
“I think it’s better if you come see them for yourself.” Uriel frowns, watching the Lightbringer. “Trust me.”
The Lightbringer rolls his eyes before his wings fluff up behind him. He rolls his shoulder as the slight pain hurts from staying in the same place for who knows how long. “Fine. Lead the way, Uriel.”
Uriel turns on his heels as he steps forward, leading the white winged angel back to the center of the universe. Remiel looks up at the two of them, as she was sitting cross-legged on the part of the universe they walked on, brown wings wrapped around the spheres of light that were the human souls. In the angels hands, is a small soul, cracked with light shining through the cracks. Lucifer pulses in his steps, eyeing the soul in Remy’s hands.
Beatrice.
“She has Samael’s guardian mark. I’m assuming this is Beatrice Espinoza.” Uriel states, gently moving to take the soul from Remy. Turning and offering it for Lucifer to hold. Slowly the Lightbringer holds his hands out as Uriel moves to place the child’s soul in Lucifer’s hand.
“…Why is the Urchin here?” Lucifer feels a blinding anger start through his being, a fire in his eyes start at the thought of someone hurting the child he protected.
“Lucifer, Control your anger!” Remiel glares at the elder angel. “Her soul is too fragile. If you set yourself on fire you will destroy her. You need to help her.”
“I- I can’t! I can’t do anything here! I’m worthless in this vast empty void!” I’m worthless without my other half. “I can’t help her!”
“There’s where your wrong Lucifer. You have your powers of Will back, correct? You can will to fix her soul.” Uriel gestures to Lucifer’s wings. “Use one of your feathers to cover the cracks of her soul.”
“Wouldn’t that make her a celestial like us?”
Uriel gives Lucifer a glare. “Do you or do you not want to protect this soul, Samael?”
“Don’t call me that.”
“Lucifer, this is the only way I see she’s okay.”
Lucifer looks to the soul in his hands, before reaching around and grabbing one of his flight feathers. He walks a good few paces from the two younger angels and the human souls under their protection. He wraps the feather around the sphere of light in his hands, using the white feather almost as a bandage over the crack. He closes his hands over the soul in his hands, holding it closer to his chest.
Ancient Enochian slips from his lips, as a bright light emerges from the Lightbringer as he closes his eyes. The light swirls around the angel, as if it’s dancing around its creator as his wings glow a bright off-white color, making the angel bask in the glow.
He almost looked like a star from a distance.
Slowly he felt the human soul in his hands change, the feather wrapped around the sphere absorbed into the light, the cracks it covered slowly mending together. Lucifer looks at the soul, within his hands, seeing the light surrounding him.
“Come on, Urchin.” He whispers, seeing the feather being absorbed into the sphere of light. “You’re a strong bright soul. I know you can get through this.”
The soul in his hands doesn’t answer. From a distance Uriel and Remiel share a look at each other as they had been watching the Lightbringer.
“…Samael’s adornment of children lingers still I see.”
Uriel gives an soft laugh, too soft for the Lightbringer to hear at that distance. “Lucifer does seem to keep some of his mannerisms, Always has. He tells us he is dead.” Uriel looks back to Lucifer, standing holding the soul. “His memory walks with Lucifer.”
~*~
Michael looks towards the ash that gathered on the cobblestone corridors of hell as the final howls echoed through the infernal domain. The ash starts to swirl in a quick clockwise motion, gathering more ash into it as it formed into a small tornado of ash and smoke. Michael watches it for a few moments, before speaking. “Anger will not help us at the moment. We need to get topside.”
The wind calms as it listens to the archangel, dissipating a lot of the ash that gathered into it. It takes a few seconds before moving towards an entry way of a corridor, as if wanting the angel to follow it.
Michael looks up to the throne Lucifer once sat, a certain sense of loneness fills his being. He feels almost lost, his being reaching for something that’s not there. Someone who’s missing. A feeling of confident and determination fills Michael’s being from an unknown source, as if telling him to go find Lucifer.
He rolls out his shoulders, as two massive black wings emerge from his back, they hold high above the archangel’s form. He looks towards the Breeze of Hell, giving a grin. The ash swirls around him before rising above him.
Michael takes flight into the air of Hell. He hovers over the throne of hell as his eyes take in the domain from the air, the endless corridors going far beyond his vison. Ash falls from the throne, before the breeze surrounds him once again.
“Let’s go find what happened, Hm?”
Chapter Text
Usually, Mazikeen loved when the sun started to set in the skies, it gave the promise of the wonders of the nightlife that Los Angeles offered; Orgies, alcohol, drugs. The night was when the demon thrived, she always had since she had came to earth.
As the sun set on the Los Angeles horizon, Mazikeen wanted nothing to do with the Nightlife, she would rather see the sun stay in the sky a few more hours, give her time to mourn.
Her two best friends; the Devil and the small child he promised to protect, ceasing to exist within hours of each other. Both by the same human who loved them, or said she loved them. Somewhere in the back of her mind she grew angry with Lucifer, who should have known better than to give a human a celestial object, miracle or not. They should have all seen the madness within her eyes.
A blinding rage builds up, as she turns and punches the stone wall behind here. The tv screen that had been mounted on the wall falling and shattering onto the floor of the penthouse. Maze watches the screen for a few moments, before she bangs her hands against the stone wall once again, letting out a scream of a pain she fully didn’t understand. The sword she had thrown into the wall above her did not fall.
Was this what the feeling of lost felt like? What humans felt when they lost someone, they were close to?
They had moved Lucifer’s and Trixie’s bodies into the former’s bedroom. Laying the two bodies onto the bed. Cerberus guarded the bedroom, protecting the two bodies inside. (Well, Maze had moved the two, Amenadiel had taken Chloe down to the wine cellar and locked her up). Cerberus was still hurt as he patted around the penthouse, but he was still a Guard dog at his core; and Maze knew that hound would sacrifice himself for ones laying behind them.
Somewhere, in the back of her mind, she remembers the first time she had met Lucifer’s hound. She had been training under the devil himself, training to become his personal bodyguard as his own had been sent to earth as a “earth consultant”. She remembers meeting this puppy who’s tail wouldn’t stop wagging when it saw its master. That was early in their agreement, long before humanity had started vilifying the devil’s name. She remembers moments back when Lucifer was just learning how to be Hell’s king. When Lucifer still wasn’t sure of himself and more often than not wondered the halls endlessly.
Maze still remembers Lucifer having this shadow of a wolf follow the king. Something to guard the gates, something that couldn’t work inside the hell loops. Maze remembers the devil being dragged by this 3 foot hellhound by a rope that was being held on by a string. The angel’s wings folded close to his back as he dug his heels into the cobblestone floors, trying not to run into the pillars and corridors walls that lined the hallways as the hound ran. It was giving the fallen angel a run even with his celestial power and strength.
“Cerberus! Stop!” At that, the Dog stopped in his tracks, making the fallen angel fly forward at the sudden stop. Lucifer had ran face first into one of the pillars; the full force making the pillar crack and crumble. She remembers the unamused look the devil gave his dog. “Oh! Now you listen!”
She laughs softly as that memory flashes through her vision. Tears roll down her face she didn’t know were there. She hated these emotions.
Not to mention the little Hellion who’s smile Maze will never see again. Trixie was an innocent who was caught in the middle of a cruel game of fate not of her own. Of choices that weren’t hers to make, or did she have any say with them.
Mazikeen wasn’t even sure if the child knew the truth about Lucifer; or about his unspoken promise to protect the child.
“I’d do anything to protect that little human! Dad be Damned!”
It had been his promise since the day Malcom had taken her from her school as a pawn against her mother. The unspoken guardianship Lucifer put over Trixie against the forces of the supernatural, celestial, and infernal in nature. It’s why Cain never kidnapped her after he broke up with Decker; why the demons didn’t dare come close to the human child.
Lucifer wasn’t merciful; he could be a big hearted, lovestruck angel when he wasn’t focusing, But he was the King of the infernal domain for a reason.
He was the king of the damned and guilty for a reason.
Maze looks to the balcony as she hears the tall tale sound of an angel landing and folding their wings. She sees pitch black wings fold behind the figure, before he steps into the penthouse. Realizing who it is, she grabs her knives from her pocket, moving across the floor. Her blade meets his neck, as his eyes look unamused down at the demon threatening him.
“You shouldn’t be here.” Mazikeen growls. “No one wants you here, Michael. Go home.”
“Oh, you mean the infernal domain who sent me here? Or the silver city who probably misses its prince?”
Confusion crosses Maze’s face as she looks up at the archangel. “I thought Lucifer said you were taken to the Silver City.”
“Well, I think Amenadiel had other plans. Now, where is my idiot brother?” Michael steps around the demon, before walking deeper into the penthouse. She watches as Michael looks around, seeing Cerberus guarding the entryway to the bedroom. “I see Cerberus found you.”
“You sent him?”
“I told Hell to find me a demon to find you; Cerberus is who it brought to me.” Michael looks deeper into the bedroom, seeing the two bodies on the bed. His breathing hitches as he realizes who’s they were. “Who did this?” His voice is unnerving to the demon; it reminds her too much of how Lucifer was before he lost his control.
“Michael-“
“Who did this, Mazikeen?” He turns to face her. She can feel the power of fear radiating off the archangel. “You know, don’t you? You caught them when they killed the child! Don’t you want revenge for the pain the child went through?”
“It was Decker.” Mazikeen states, looking the archangel in the eyes.
“And where is she now, Mazikeen?” There’s a grin forming as a sparkle twinkles in the archangel’s eyes, if Mazikeen didn’t know any better, she would state that it was the hellfire that burned behind the angel’s eyes.
“Downstairs, with Amenadiel in the wine cellar.” Mazikeen grins, meeting the archangel’s eyes once again.
“Well, let’s go deal with her first.”
Emotions were not the Demon’s strong suit, but punishment, oh, punishment, Mazikeen could do.
~*~
Lucifer sat in the vast empty universe. He had been dozing in and out of consciousness for the past while. White wings were stretched behind him, as his hands held the newly celestial soul.
It had taken a lot of power from Lucifer, to the point he’s pretty sure he passed out once he actually sat down. He had walked a bit from his siblings and the other human souls, just in case his own powers went out of his control.
He looked at the soul inside his hands, the cracks had mended themselves with the feather that was absorbed into the soul, slowly changing the soul it was offered to. Lucifer just hoped the Urchin wouldn’t hate him once she was strong enough.
She had to make it; Lucifer couldn’t lose another being he loved.
“What’s your name?”
“Lucifer.”
“Like the Devil?”
“Exactly.”
Memories of their first meeting flashes through the devil’s mind, as a small sad smile forms on his face. He wasn’t too sure if the little human fully believed what he said, if she fully believed he was the devil.
Anger had festered in the back of his mind. His protection should have warned whoever was close by of her being in danger. He couldn’t believe how Stupid he was to trust the detective. He should have noticed the changed, he should have taken it back to the silver city where the blade would lay rest with Samael’s memory.
It’s not your fault. There’s no way you could’ve known what the human was going to do.
Lucifer closed his eyes, hearing the voice in his head. He didn’t answer the voice. His focus shifts back from letting his mind wonder to the soul in his hands, he gives a soft sad smile, before he could speak the soul moved out of his hand. Lucifer watches as slightly off-white wings wrap around the soul as an outline of a child appears within them.
“…Lucifer…?” Her voice is so quiet in the universe, but it makes the devil tear up at the sound of the Urchin’s voice.
“I’m here, Beatrice.”
Wings uncurl around her new form, she’s shorter than what she was on earth. “…What happened…?”
“Oh, my dear sweet child….” He knew this was going to be hard to explain, he watched as she looked behind her own shoulders seeing the two wings now behind her. Lucifer can’t tell what emotion flashes across her face. “Tell me, what you do you remember?”
Beatrice looks to him a little confused, before looking away. Her eyes unfocused as she tries to remember. “I just got to the penthouse, I asked mom and you if we could get pizza. I looked up from watching a video on my phone and-“ Tears form in her eyes. “And I saw you! You were laying on the floor and I yelled at mom that she hurt you and that was bad! And- and she grabbed the blade that had blood on it and came towards me! Next… Next I knew I saw Maze and big wolf hound thing when the elevator opened and the wolf tackled mom. Maze and Chloe were yelling and the dog came over and laid beside me even though he was hurt.”
“….Cerberus.” Lucifer opens his arms for the child, Trixie didn’t waste any time hugging the devil as he wrapped his wings around the child. “He’s my hellhound, he probably realized I’m your guardian devil and deemed it his job to make sure you felt safe as you… passed.”
Trixie buried her face into Lucifer’s shoulder as she started to sob. Lucifer tightened his arms around her in comfort, holding her protectively as she cried. No child should ever have to go through that pain, especially from their own parents. She had just lost Daniel and now she’s lost everything she’s ever loved, everything she’s ever known.
Beatrice didn’t deserve this fate; no one did.
“Lucifer…?”
“Yes, Urchin?”
“What did you do? Maze mentioned that my soul was cracked but it doesn’t feel cracked anymore. You did something, didn’t you? That’s why I have wings right?”
“Yes, Beatrice. That’s correct, I did something and you can hate me if you want but I couldn’t- I couldn’t lose another one I cared about.” I couldn’t lose someone I cared for again. “I used one of my feathers to mend your soul, I used Samael’s power of will to make it mend itself, but in doing so your soul absorbed the feather, making you, well, an angel.”
“An…angel?” Confusion and awe lace her voice, her eyes look up to lucifer with wonder, but he can see the sadness that is deep within her brown eyes. “Like you?”
The Devil gives a nod. “Yes, like me. It was the only way Uriel could predict your soul would be okay.”
“…Where are we?”
“This is a blank universe, I guess that blade didn’t kill souls like what we believed.” He watches as the once human looks around into the darkness. “It seems it had more power within it that what I thought it did.”
“So, what about the place we came from? What about home?”
Lucifer opens his mouth, but closes it. He hugs the kid once again, who didn’t seem bothered by the devil’s hugs. “My stars will learn their Lightbringer is gone, if Cerberus is already on earth that means Hell is already looking for its master. With Dad gone, that universe has no being of Will and Michael as the other half of the Demiurge can only do so much….”
“And what does that mean?”
“It means dear Urchin. That universe will fall without the power of Will.”

Chapter Text
Shadows curled around the Archangel as his footsteps echoed through the wine cellar. He knew why Lucifer picked this building; the wine cellar was once a underground passage of alcohol under the streets and eyes of Los Angeles. It was sound proof enough that no one would hear anything down here.
Even the screams of a Miracle whose life should have ended with her own carelessness.
Michael turned the corner, finding Amenadiel comforting the poor women who ended Lucifer’s life. Bright light blinded the Archangel’s eyes, and before he truly knew what was happening Amenadiel went flying against the stone walls. The force causing the building to shake, but didn’t fall.
“She does NOT deserve pity.” It’s the thunder of his voice that rattles the foundation of the building, the general of the Celestial army shining through the Archangel as he glares to the elder angel.
“She had no control.” Amenadiel argues, glaring back. “She-“
“She is to blame for the Lightbringer’s death. It’s not up for you to decide.”
“It’s not your job either.”
Michael laughs as his feather turn sharp like daggers, pinning the once fallen angel to the stone wall. “Actually, it is my job to judge souls, just as your job was to be an errand boy for Dad; Fist of God, that is the meaning behind your name, remember? You are not me, and you will never be me. Now, since you have decided to side with the human who has killed one of our sibling, I do not think the Silver City or our other siblings will not be so kind once they learn about you comforting the miracle who kill Lucifer. I only hope Heaven and Hell have mercy on your being for the sake of your son; because they will be who judges you and determines your fate.” He moves away from the slightly elder angel before his gaze turns to Chloe Jane Decker.
“And you, oh I should’ve let that car hit you when I was pretending to be my twin. I have looked into you, Chloe Decker. You might be a Dad’s miracle, but you were not made for Lucifer. Lucifer fell in love with you of his own Will and you used it against him. Hell does not approve of you because it knew you would do something to its master. Cerberus has marked your soul as damned because of the harm you have caused to both Lucifer and your own child; A child Lucifer took on as one of his guarded children. You are lucky I will not judge your soul, as your soul will be judged by all three realms to determine your fate.”
“You have no authority. As far as human laws know it was self-defense.”
“Self Defense?? That’s the excuse you’re going with?!” Michael can barely hold in his anger. “Due to your physical appearance and you having no bruising or broken bones, I know for a Fact Lucifer was just trying to take the blade from your hand; I know his fighting style. Not to mention you have your own child’s blood on your hands. She was innocent.”
Michael turns to Mazikeen who is watching the archangel with interest. “You are in touch with Eve still, correct?” When he sees the demon nods he continues talking. “Call her and get her over here. It’s only fair she gets to pay her respects to her once boyfriend. I guess also Linda and anyone else you can think of off the top of your head. I am going to heaven and grab some siblings.”
“Yeah, fine. What’s gonna happen to Decker?”
“I’ll deal with her later with the realms. It’s more important to get Lucifer’s body back to heaven. As well as Beatrice’s since she is an innocent the city will never met. For now, The damned will stay down here in this room. Amenadiel you are going to the city, the city will deal with you when it sees fit.”
Amenadiel stood, his wings unfurling as he looks towards the archangel. “And what are you going to do if I don’t?”
“Well, what about Cerberus dragging you to hell wingless? I think that would fit what you did to me. Cerberus will listen to me because Hell told me, just as it lied to you when it told you Hell didn’t need a warden. Or would you rather our siblings know exactly what you’ve been up to on earth? How you called our fallen brother a test to his face! Lucifer might have fell, but you’ve fallen from your grace. How you gave pity to a human who planned on poisoning him!”
Michael watches the expression in the elder angel’s face, he scoffs and turns towards to the once Miracle, before moving her chair deeper into the room, before shutting the door on her face. He takes a moment before nodding to the door, before turning on his heels back to Amenadiel. “Do I need to call Cerberus down here or are you going to go peacefully?” He raises an eyebrow as he turns to the elder angel, before Amenadiel rolls his eyes.
“Our Siblings will hear my side of the Story.” Amenadiel threatens, moving pass Michael forcefully. Michael watches him disappear around the corner, only once he didn’t hear Amenadiel anymore, he walk back to the elevator he came down here with the demon.
He wished he wasn’t the one who had to tell the stars about their other father’s death.
~*~
Lucifer had no idea how long he held Trixie in his arms for. He did know the newer angel ended falling into a slumber at one point in his arms, leaning her face against his shoulder as she was zoned out. He looks to her new wings that were slightly wrapped around her form, they were an off white in color. He knew she could no fly with her wings at this stage, her wings were too fragile with being a new angel, and she could seriously injury herself.
Not that Lucifer would allow her to get hurt; as long as he was able to protect her.
He already failed in that regard. She was here because he was gone. Because her guardian Devil had disappeared and failed at protecting her.
“Promise Me! Promise me you won’t leave me and Mom again!”
Lucifer remembers the tears she shed when he came back; she had been so angry with him when he had left without telling her goodbye. He never told her the real reason he left, and he knew the Detective was very vague about what She told the child.
He didn’t doubt the child believed in him from the start; Children had always seem to just know about him. He made it a habit to avoid small humans if he could help it.
Of course, there had always been exemptions to his own rules, he was the devil after all.
Meeting Beatrice however had been an accident; He was not in Los Angeles to become a guardian devil to another child. (he knew the ones he had guarded were now all adults, and all had children of their own).
Beatrice had been in danger due to celestial problems around her that she should have never been caught in the middle of with Malcom Graham. It was after that day Lucifer took on another child under his wings and protection. Lucifer knew all the children he ended up protecting ended in heaven once their time on earth ended, and that he would never be able to see them again. And her life ended because of a choice not of her own.
Children were never punished for their parents’ misdeeds.
Lucifer takes a deep breath as he let his mind come back to the present, with the child within his arms. She would never get to see Daniel again and for some reason that hurt Lucifer to think about. Lucifer knew she missed her dad dearly, more than she let on. Even when she was about to go to science camp Lucifer had gave her the choice to stay home, find another summer activity to do that was closer to home. The Urchin had all just leaped at the opportunity to stay closer to her mother and Lucifer.
Now that Lucifer thought about it, he remembers the Detective being almost upset Beatrice was staying home. Lucifer knew the kid had gone through a traumatic experience of losing a parent, he had seen it before in times of War.
“…’ifer stop thinking so loud…” Trixie sleepily mutters.
“Sorry, Urchin. You can go back to sleep.” Lucifer whispers back, not wanting to wake the child more than he had. He felt the child nod into his shoulder before dozing back into her dreams.
At that moment, Lucifer knew he would do everything in his power in this new universe to give her the best he could with what little he had here. Will was nothing her with creation.
But Will always needed Joy because what was living without something to be happy about?

Chapter Text
Michael steps out of the elevator into the penthouse high above the city of Los Angeles, the earth had moved so the sun was setting in the sky. The penthouse was empty, other then Cerberus who’s eyes watched the archangel step into the main room, watching him. Michael looked back to the hell hound who almost pouted seeing him, and continued to lay in the doorway, guarding the two bodies behind him.
“I know.” Michael whispers. “I miss him too.”
He walks to the blood that’s on the floor, most of which looked as though it was cleaned; probably Mazikeen’s doing if he had to guess. He was going to wait for Maze to come back with the first women, and whoever else she could think of.
It was only fair they got to pay their respects.
Michael knew Uriel and Remiel bodies were also buried somewhere on earth. He should get them taken back to heaven to honor their memories. As dad never wanted to bring Uriel back home. It wasn’t fair. Uriel was only doing his job, what he was created to do. The elevator opens and Michael turns, seeing the demon step out with a woman behind her.
“…Michael?”
“Eve.” Michael nods towards the human, being civil towards her, even though they usually yelled at each other from across the heavenly realm. The women looks to Maze, before looking back to the archangel concerned.
“Where’s Lucifer?”
Michael tensed, before Mazikeen moved to hold Eve’s hand. Eve noticed the archangel tense at the devil’s name. “Michael, what happened?”
“Eve, I-“ Michael knew this was going to be difficult, for the both of him. “He’s gone, Eve.”
“…Gone?” Eve looks towards Maze again, as if wanting answers. Maze was looking away, as if caught up in her own head. Eve looks back to the Archangel. “…He’s not in Hell, is he?”
“No, Eve. He’s not.” Michael offers a hand towards the women, who hesitantly took the angel’s hand. She walked with him across the room and allowed her to look into the bedroom. Cerberus didn’t seem too bothered by Eve. He watched as she stepped back from the door as her started to form tears. In a few moments Eve hugged the archangel, finding comfort in Michael. Eve and Michael might have not always gotten along, but they both cared for Lucifer, and that’s what mattered. “…It was the blade, wasn’t it? Like Uriel all over again…?”
Uriel had always been close to Eve; it was just one of those odd twists of fate that happened. Eve had been adopted into the angels’ friendships long before her husband had. Many enjoyed Eve’s bubbly personality and Uriel enjoyed she was different. She wasn’t like Adam; who did the same thing every day in his eternal paradise. She wanted change, something new something exciting. She was heartbroken when Uriel never came back to the heavenly host and her soul was filled with sadness.
Uriel died doing his job; and no one could truly predict Lucifer. Lucifer had always found a loop hole of any situation. Will could not be held into one place just as light could not be contained. “Yes, like Uriel all over again.” Michael knew what happened between Lucifer and Uriel. He had told Uriel not to go, but the younger angel never listened to him.
Michael looks to Maze before letting Eve go. “I’m sorry.”
Eve shook her head, wiping her tears. “It’s not your fault, Micha. Trixie doesn’t deserve this either. She was a good kid.”
Michael nodded. “She will be buried with Lucifer in the city; I will see to it myself.” He knew the realm itself will have no arguments against his wish. He watched as Eve nodded, before her eyes looks towards Mazikeen. Wordlessly she moves towards the demon, embracing Maze as she buried her head into her chest, crying once again.
Eve had always been so emotional, and for once Michael didn’t mind it. Michael walks towards the balcony. “I need to go grab some siblings to move their bodies to the city. I’ll be back in a bit.” He looks towards the skies before taking off.
~*~
Lucifer noticed that the universe felt different once Trixie was more active and actually up and walking around the darkness. She was still having issues with her wings; they seemed to have a mind of their own like his, but she was getting more used to it as she floated through the quiet void.
Her laughs filled the void of silence that Lucifer hated. She had somehow talked Remiel into teaching her how to fight with her wings (how she managed that Lucifer wasn’t positive about). Remiel had agreed to train her, but nothing major until her wings were a bit stronger.
She was the beacon of joy the Lightbringer needed in his life. Her smile had the brightness to light up a room when she walked in.
Somewhere in the back of his mind he wondered if Beatrice was the real miracle.
“Lucifer?”
Lucifer looks to his left, where Uriel stood beside him. The shorter angel is smiling towards their sister and the new angel.
“Uriel.” Lucifer greets, looking back to the two others.
“I wanted to tell you it’s not your fault.” Uriel states, looking back to the elder brother. Lucifer looks at the angel beside him. “About me, and how I got here.”
“Uriel-“
Uriel shook his head. “I took Azrael’s sword. I was doing a job I deemed necessary for the family’s protection. Mom was on earth; it was only going to be a matter of time until she wanted to go back to the city.”
“…You were protecting…”
“I wanted what’s best for our family. You were always her favorite child, but you would always try to protect her, even when she was causing you stress. It’s in your nature.”
“…And it’s in your nature to be stubborn.”
Uriel laughs, it sounds so childish, like he was that little angel would stubbornly try to play with his older siblings. “You’re right. It’s in my nature to try to do what’s best for the universe and our family. Seeing the human woman you cared for away from your reach was the best outcome overall for our family, though at that time I had no clue on why.”
“…What do you know now?”
Uriel hesitates for a moment, not meeting Lucifer’s eyes. “All the patterns around her were blurry; it’s a side effect of that human being around you. You are unpredictable to my patterns, but the outcome was always the same; someone would die. I always thought it was telling me about the human but now, with what you said was happening before you got here, and what has happened to the child….” Uriel’s voice trails off, voice going quiet as the Lightbringer stares at him.
“…You were looking out for the family.”
“I was looking for my big brother and his stars. For the humanity you cared for as a whole.”
“…What do you see now? When you look at your patterns?”
“…I see a Lightbringer with a bright light shining of his own, guiding him. His hope for a better future with someone who truly cares for him loving him for who he is.”
~*~
The Silver City seemed a lot dimmer from the last time Michael had stepped inside the realm. The gates were still Gold and Silver, but the gate didn’t glimmer with the shine and perfection it once had.
The realm was mourning.
Michael stepped inside the gates, furling his wings closer to his back as he walks the streets lined with gold. It takes a few steps inside until a warm breeze surrounds the Archangel.
The Prince is home.
“Hello Silver.” Michael feels more at home with the realm’s breeze greeting him.
You were gone. Afraid something happened to you.
“I was in the infernal realm without wings, someone put me down there, but there are more pressing matters to deal with first.”
A Guardian and his protected human child has ceased in this universe. The breeze sounds upset as it whispers. An innocent child who deserves to be have enteral peace, and a guardian who deserved his redemption.
Michael closes his eyes, wings folding down behind him, almost dragging onto the golden streets. “You know then.”
Samael’s Memory and Lucifer are gone. Heard the Beast who guards the infernal realm’s howls of mourning. Samael and Lucifer were killed by Samael’s blade by a human’s hand. A human woman who only exists due to divine intervention from the Father of this universe.
Michael can hear the bitterness and anger inside the realm’s whispers. The wind of the heavenly realm starts to pick up the specks of gold and stardust that lines the streets of the city. A small tornado starts to pick up by the Archangel’s feet.
“Silver, we will deal with it. The first thing I need to do is to get Lucifer back here were he belongs, I also want to bring Beatrice’s body to this realm as well to be buried. She was a child caught in a cruel twist of fate not of her own.”
Samael’s memory will be safe in this realm. Hell will be more than welcome to come Mourn its King. Beatrice is one of Lucifer’s guarded, a child who deserves entry into the city. She will be buried at Lucifer’s side; Samael treated her as his own. She is in angel in the eyes of this and the other two realms. She is one of Samael’s, no matter of her human parents.
Michael was not expecting to hear that. He doesn’t answer moving towards where his siblings stayed in the city. Silver follows.
You also adopted the Child as a co-guarding angel, Michael. She is yours as well.
He laughs, almost bitterly. “After what I did to her parents, I don’t think she’d appreciate that.”
Her Father’s death was not your fault, My Prince. You were not who pulled the trigger. Humans have their own free will, what they choose to do with that freedom is their own choices.
“…I wish I made sure that human stayed dead.”
Lucifer has Samael’s determination and Will. He would stop at nothing for the love he had for that human; the same could not be said about the Human’s love for him. Nothing would’ve stopped him from retrieving her soul, and this realm will not allow him to burn for his misguided love.
“…Misguided love?” Michael looks towards where the Stardust and gold flakes gathered. “What do you mean, Silver?”
All will be explained, Lucifer and the child need their bodies laid to rest, giving the realms time to mourn. You, my prince, to tell your children their Lightbringer and father is gone. The Universe will be in Mourning. And you my prince need to learn some things that your parents didn’t want known.

Chapter 8: Chapter 8
Summary:
Michael meets up with Amenadiel and another sibling.
Lucifer has thoughts.
Chapter Text
Unlike popular belief; The Heavenly realm was split into two areas. The one which was most seen was the Humans side, the endless garden and the peace that washed over the souls. The human side had sub-sections, but they all intermingled with each other.
The other side was of course the Celestial side of the Silver City; the innerworkings of the heavenly kingdom where all angels stayed and worked. Few humans were allowed inside the backrooms of the city; Moses, David, Peter, Eve, and many had their own jobs aside the angels. It was where their father had ruled over their kingdom as a silent leader, letting his children rule with his command.
The City’s breeze turned to one of the children, the one it deemed the best to rule in their father’s steed; which caused the humans to call him the Prince of the Silver City. Michael took his role in stride and the city respected him as its Prince. Amenadiel, as the eldest, always fought Michael on everything. His role as the Sword of God, his commanding as the Celestial Army’s leader. The Eldest fought him every step of his being, the two were two stubborn to step down, and it ultimately came down to who Silver answered to.
The Heavenly realm had chose Michael as its prince, but the angel never asked for the role, he had been created to take the role.
Michael didn’t wish to become God for the power, he didn’t want to become like their parents, separated and ruled over their children (his siblings) with an iron fist and a firm attitude, looking down at his siblings and pretending he knew all and everything was part of this Great Plan. Michael wanted his family safe; they had lost too many siblings in such a short amount on earth, one was his own doing, Remiel was Amenadiel’s little double, and had little regard for the family as a whole. Pride had always been a downfall of the Angels, and if Michael was to play the villain as some had no clue on the full story on what had occurred then he would deal with it. He had always been the Shadow to the Lightbringer.
But what happens when Lucifer was gone?
Michael follows the Breeze into the heavenly palace, hearing raised voices that echoed through the bright corridors. The Angel of Fear followed the sounds and the breeze scouts ahead, stardust and golden flicks of light dance across the gold and silver paths. Turning into a large common room. Michael comes across the source of the shouting, standing toe to toe is Gabriel and Amenadiel, the shorter Archangel of Messages glaring up at the elder Angel, daggers in her eyes as her gaze met the elder.
“You have no idea what was actually happening up here! You were having fun on Earth, forgetting and forfeiting your post as dad’s errand boy. Everything you did was Handed to you! You didn’t work for anything! Heaven knows you didn’t work for anything on Earth either!”
“You don’t know what was happening on earth! You have no idea what hardships I went through!”
Michael heard Gabriel scoff from where he was standing. “You had your head in the clouds and You took it upon yourself to send our brother back to hell. If Dad really wanted Lucifer into Hell, don’t you think he would’ve sent, Oh, I don’t know, the archangel who matches Lucifer’s power!? And Don’t tell me I don’t know what’s happening on earth! I’ve seen it, Amenadiel! I’ve been to earth a lot more than anyone else has, probably more than Lucifer has! I’ve lost my Guarded! I was the First to have guarded humans, or did you just forget that? It’s my job to know what’s happening on Earth! Don’t tell me I don’t know what’s happening!”
“Gabriel! Amenadiel!” Michael had seen enough, entering the room and holding back Gabriel as Silver wraps itself around Amenadiel, pulling the elder angel back as Michael held Gabriel in his arms, pulling her back to his chest. “Gabe, Gabby. Calm yourself.”
“He sided with that Damn Human, Michael! He comforted the human who killed our sibling! Who killed an innocent child!” Gabriel struggled against her little brother’s hold, but Michael held her still.
“I know, Gabby. I know, and trust me the realms will judge both him and that human.” Michael reassures her. Michael glares at Amenadiel who’s fuming at the City’s breeze which is keeping him pinned.
“Our Siblings will hear my side of things.”
“And I will tell them the truth!” Gabriel shoots back. “How you used our brother for his wealth! How you lost your wings and called him your Test from our Father! How you fell so hard from grace that you became mortal! I hope the realms have mercy for no one but Charlie, because he should not have to suffer because your too full of pride to actually feel remorse and guilt for what you’ve done! You haven’t been up here for years on earth, other than to tell us that we, as angels do in fact self-actualize! Something We all knew since I changed my form from my trauma! Something we knew from seeing our fallen brother and seeing how much of a monster he felt like!”
Amenadiel’s dark grey wings puffed up behind him, but the breeze kept him in place. Michael looks to the breeze. “Silver, Can you take Amenadiel to his quarters? We have to get others settled and tell the rest of the siblings and I would like to offer peace during this mourning time.”
It seemed as if the breeze understood it’s prince, as it started to drag the elder angel out of the room, even as the said angel fought with it every step of the way, yelling at it. When Amenadiel’s yelling was far enough away Michael let go of his older sister’s arms, stepping back to give her space. Gabriel brushes herself off, noting of ash that brushed off where Michael had held her. “…This is Hell’s ash. Mike, where have you been?”
“Not important.” Michael waves his hand, brushing it off, “Where is everyone?”
“Off doing their jobs, you know that.” Michael watched as Gabriel tilted her head, “Michael what’s wrong?”
“…Lucifer’s gone.” His voice is just above a whisper, as Gabriel stares at him, as he turns away. He can feel his older sibling’s eyes stare at him, before she speaks.
“Michael, do not tell me it was that human…” There’s something in her voice. “Do not tell me it’s the human he’s already died for multiple times.”
Michael doesn’t answer his older sister, but it’s enough for the other as her feathers ruffle and puff up, anger crosses her face. “Gabe, I am dealing with it. I would like to get Lucifer’s body back here where it can rest and his guarded.”
That makes Gabe tense up hearing that. “His guarded? You mean Beatrice? What happened?”
“Azrael’s blade happened. The Women went insane with the power and went after Lucifer. I think when the kid got home the women also went after her. From what the demon said, Beatrice soul cracked with the blade, so even if it wasn’t the blade her soul wouldn’t have been able to cross the realms.” Michael admits, looking towards the older angel. He watched as her expression changes.
“Lead the way, Michael. I’ll help you get them here; we will notify our siblings and while we get preparations done you need to go talk to your children. You know they will be looking for him.”
Michael sighs, knowing Gabriel was going to say that “I know. It’s just, how do I tell them? They’re going to turn their backs on humanity and I know Lucifer wouldn’t want that.”
“I know.” Gabriel admits, stepping towards her younger brother. “I know he wouldn’t want humanity to fall because of one human.”
“That human meant everything to him and she just tossed him aside again and again!” Michael runs a hand through his hair, his naturally curly hair fluffing in the progress. “I don’t understand how someone can just use him and his affection like that!”
Gabriel pats his back. “I know, but humans are odd like that. Let’s go before the realm decides it wants to go with us.”
~*~
It was quiet.
Lucifer usually didn’t like the quiet; it usually meant trouble followed. Quiet demons were always bad because it meant they were plotting something.
Lucifer looks to young Beatrice, who is curled under his wings, finding comfort in him. They had been sitting like this for a while as far as Lucifer knew, after Beatrice had grown tired from training with Remiel and had curled into Lucifer’s form. Lucifer briefly thought of an angel fledgling and that’s technically what Beatrice was; a new fledgling angel. He kept her protected in his wings, and he didn’t mind her closeness.
Samael barely nested, he wasn’t created to; he was created to serve and light the stars. His nestmate had been Mikael, the only of their siblings who had a nested together. They had been together since their beginning.
Lucifer never had time to nest; as King of Hell he couldn’t show an ounce of weakness. So he buried the angelic part of his nature deep within him.
The only time he ever nested was on earth, and he created his nest slowly. The penthouse was his nest, he hadn’t noticed until he stopped taking people up there. He only opened the penthouse to few; only the ones he deemed his family.
Beatrice was his, in a step to protect her she had became his.
He had a fledgling now.
Beatrice had always been one of his guarded; since the encounter with Malcolm it had become an official guardian protection, and if Lucifer was being honest with himself he would do anything for the little Urchin.
She had crawled under his wings and never left.
“Lucifer….?”
“Yes child?”
“What’s going to happen to us?” Beatrice curled more into his soft white wings as he thought about her question. “I mean, what’s going to happen back home?”
Lucifer looks to the kid in his hold, concern crossing his face. “Urchin what brings this question up?”
“I, well, I remember Maze yelling that you being gone was very very bad. I just. I like home.”
Mentally Lucifer cursed Maze for saying that. “…As I said, the stars will look for their lightbringer and hell was already looking for its master.”
“Do you think Michael can stop it?”
“I… I don’t know if Michael’s strong enough love. He is an archangel and is very powerful, but the universe needs its balance. Creation and Will go together; just as light and dark go together.”
Trixie nods. “You can’t have one without the other.”
“Correct, Urchin.” Lucifer smiles towards the child. “I adore home, Beatrice, but I don’t honestly know if we can go back.” Beatrice nods sadly into his side, tears threatening to spill out of her eyes. Lucifer frowns before wiping the tears with his thumbs. “Please don’t cry, Child.”
“I’m sorry Lucifer…”
“You have nothing to be sorry for, my dear.” Lucifer comforts. “I know it’s a lot, and you’ve been shoved into a world you weren’t aware of fully, but I promise I will do everything in my power to make sure you get to live outside of this empty universe; even if that means I have to create a universe here if we can’t get home.”
Trixie nods, fully believing him. Lucifer gives a soft smile, kissing her forehead. “Get some sleep, Urchin. I’ll be right here when you wake up.” There’s another nod as Trixie cuddles into his wings and starts to doze off. Lucifer gives a soft tight smile before looking up, silently begging the universe.
Give me something to tell my other half I’m alive.

Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Chapter Text
It was raining in Los Angeles when Michael had arrived back on the balcony of the penthouse with Gabriel behind him. The rain made the usually bright streets look bleak and gray against the bright lights of the city below. Void colored wings fold and disappear out of sight as a shade of a silver-gray wings fold neatly out of sight after his own. Michael pushed open the doors of the penthouse finding three women, a demon, and a baby basket with a wide-awake baby in it. When Michael steps inside all heads turn to face the two angels. The shortest one of the bunch looks as though she’s about to faint.
“You weren’t joking when you said Angels were coming. I thought you meant like, metaphorically. Wow, they flew; they have wings!”
Michael watches as Maze turns to Linda. “Are you sure having Ellen here is a smart idea?”
“She needs to know.” Eve replies. “This might not be the best way to learn about all of this, but it gives her time to mourn.”
“Lopez?” Michael notices the shorter woman looks at him, he can tell she’s thrown off by his American sounding accent. “I am the Archangel Michael; Lucifer’s twin brother. This is the Archangel Gabriel beside me, we mean no harm to anyone in this room.”
“He wasn’t lying.” Ella’s voice is shaky as she speaks, looking as though she had just seen a ghost.
“No, He wasn’t.” Michael replies, “But I think you need to have a conversation with our sister Azrael.”
Ella looks confused, as Michael steps up towards Lucifer’s bedroom, where Cerberus is laying in the doorway. The hellhound raises its head towards the archangel, who pats its head.
“Good Cerberus.” Michael mutters, noticing the black inky blood that seeped out of a long gash of its blade. The hound’s blood source, if the archangel was to guess. Cerberus looks up to Michael, its red eyes dimmer than what Michael remembered. “Rest now. You have done a good service. It is time. Lucifer would be proud of his pup.”
Cerberus, hearing the angel’s request, gave a small nod, before patting over to the bed, hopping up to the foot of the bed. The hellhound turned in a circle, its form flicking in and out of existence, until it laid down, and the light behind its eyes disappeared. Michael gave a nod, knowing it had served its master until the end of its days.
Lucifer would be heartbroken.
Michael moves more into the room, looking at the two bodies that laid on the bed. Both were still covered with their own blood. It made Michael feel nauseous with the smell of death within the room.
“Michael?” Said Angel turns to see Gabriel at the doorway to the bedroom. Her eyes look between the two bodies, her face palling at the sight. “Oh, Goodness.” She swallowed in fear, looking between their fallen brother and the human child. Michael turns away, looking back to Lucifer when he sees her hands shaking.
“Gabe, if you need to step down and not do this I understand.”
He hears a shaky breath from her. “I can do this, Mike. It's just, I didn’t want to believe it. What humans are capable of is terrifying.” Gabe moves towards the human’s body, a frown crosses her face, as her eyes sparkle with tears. “She’s so young.”
“Can you take her?”
“Yeah. I can. Is the hound coming with us?” Gabriel looks to the hound at the end of the bed.
Michael looks at the hell hound’s form. “...Cerberus should be buried with whom he protected until his last breath. I will come get him.” Michael moves to the side of the bed, before picking up Lucifer’s body bridal style in his arms. The Lightbringer’s body was unnaturally cold; a lack of his being, it almost felt frozen under Michael’s touch.
Michael walks to the main room, moving towards the balcony. He can feel the eyes of the human women and the demon watching him with sadness. He looks over his bad shoulder towards the women, He can see Gabriel coming out of the bedroom with the small child in her arms, being careful where she steps.
“I will be back for Cerberus.” Michael states, looking at the ladies. Ella looks towards where they had come from. Mazikeen looks confused, a sad look in her eyes.
“He was hurt… wasn’t he?” Mazikeen watches as Michael nods sadly. “Fuck.”
Michael sighs, looking back to the balcony in front of him again. Gabriel stands beside him, unfurling her wings behind her. She nods to Michael, ready to leave. She steps out, before taking off towards the city. Leaving Michael standing with Lucifer in his arms, Michael hesitates a second before taking off behind her leaving the humans and the demon in the penthouse by themselves.
Ella turns to Linda. “You knew about this? All of this??” When Linda opens her mouth to answer, Ella stares in shock getting off the couch. “When was I going to be told about this?? I’m only learning now because of-“ She cuts herself off, rethinking about everything that has happened over the years. Her mind races with conversations with Lucifer, with always having the feeling everyone was hiding something.
“Ella?” Linda says worriedly standing and walking to the women. “Ella it’s not that simple. We didn’t know how you would take knowing.”
“So, everyone dances around it!?” Ella shouts, her eyes look to Eve and Maze, who’s watching her. She scoffs. “Am I really the last to know?? What are we in? High school?”
“Ella-“
“Ellen-“
“No. No. My name’s not Ellen, it’s Ella. Who else knows? The rest of the LAPD? Lux? The whole city other than me?! I thought we were all better than this! Lucifer is dead! An Angel, The devil, is dead! How does that even work?? Angels are supposed to be smart, and caring, and kind. But, but they’re just like humans, aren’t they? They’re liars.” Ella grabs her bag, eyes welding with tears. “Did Dan know? Charlotte Richards? Peirce? Or were they in the dark just as much as I am?” When she didn’t get a reply right away she gave a small broken laugh. “You know what. Never mind. It doesn’t matter, does it? I don’t matter apparently anyways.” She starts to the elevator, pushing the button to call it up.
“Ella.” Linda gets up to follow Ella as she waits for the elevator. “Ella. It’s not-“
“It’s not what?” Ella yells, holding back tears as she turns around. “Like that? Then what is it? Some secret you all have been hiding for the last years? What is this, Some elite club for those who know of angels?” Ella steps into the elevator. “Just, just leave me alone!” The elevator doors open and she storms in. she pushes the button and the doors closes. Linda stays looking at the door for a few moments before turning back to the other two women.
“Well, that could’ve gone better.”
~*~
Heaven seemed quiet as Michael landed into the city, the archangel shifting the body in his arms as his shoulder started to ache. He starts towards the angels area of the Heaven, as he hears Gaberiel land behind him. The city seemed slightly dimmer than what he remembered, but it couldn’t been his imagination.
“Michael?” He looks over his shoulder to Gabriel, who was following him a few steps away. “What happens now?”
“We hold a funeral for Lucifer and the child. Let the realms mourn.” Michael says simply, looking briefly at his brother’s body in his arms. “Then we deal with Decker. Let the realms decide what to do with her soul and what happens to humanity.”
“You know Lucifer wouldn’t have wanted Humanity to suffer for one human’s doing.” Gabriel mutters under her breath. Michael gives her a scoff as they continued to walk.
“If he had his way nothing would come of this and everything would be back to normal, like nothing even happened. But this isn’t something we can ignore anymore. The flaming sword will be destroyed, spilt back into pieces, and put places it would take a long time to put together.”
“I’m sorry for bringing it back.” Gabriel whispers, looking at innocent’s body in her arms. “None of this would’ve happened if I just left it in mother’s new universe. You wouldn’t have had your wings cut, lucifer wouldn’t have had this happened!”
“No. No. This happened because Lucifer trusted a human with celestial objects. Things humans were never supposed to get their hands on nor even know of.”
“Eve knew of it.” Gabriel mutters.
“Eve knows of it because that Principality that gave her it in the garden.” Michael grumbles, turning the corner into a small room. Michael gently puts Lucifers body on a stone surface in the middle of the room, Gabriel puts Trixie’s body on another stone surface covering her body with a white sheet. As Michael does the same with Lucifer’s. Michael sighs. “I need to go get Cerberus. Inform the other angels what has happened. I need to go to hell and tell the demons if hell hasn’t told them yet. We need to plan everything.”
Gabriel nods, looking to her brother. “Of course. I’ll see you when you get back.”
