“Yoongiiiii!” Jimin giggles as he cuddles the black cat sitting on his lap. The cat is four months old, Yoongi has had her for almost two weeks, and she hasn’t shown as much affection as she is now.

From the minute Jimin returned home from his Japan trip, the two have been cuddling on his - not his, their - couch, Jimin playing all sorts of games with the cat. And the sight is SO cute.

“Yah, Park Jimin, you can’t just stroll in and win over my cat’s heart. She’s been shy all this time!” Yoongi says as he settles next to his boyfriend. He extends a paw to the cat - name still undecided because Jimin and Yoongi have been debating a LOT - and tries to lure her onto his lap but to no avail. Jimin giggles again as Yoongi swats him.

“I hate you,” Yoongi grumbles.

“Hyung, the key is to not try so hard.”

“I read four books on cat parenting, Jimin!”

“Give her time.”

“But look at you!”

“Oh, baby,” Jimin whispers as he pats Yoongi’s head, not unlike the way he has been petting the cat. “Come here.”

Yoongi grumbles but slides closer to Jimin, his hand now intertwined in Jimin’s.

“Here, pet her with me,” Jimin whispers and he takes their hands to pet the cat, who lets out a happy purr.

“Oh.”

“Isn’t she the cutest?” Jimin giggles, eyes turning into crescents and Yoongi almost coos.

“Truly,” Yoongi smiles, leaning in to kiss Jimin’s nose which adds to his boyfriend’s giggles.

“Hyung!”

“You are so cute, Jimin,” he whispers.

“Thank you but hey, don’t think I missed that you called her yours!”

“Oh,” Yoongi blushes. “Not used to it.”

“Oh, baby,” Jimin smiled.

“She is ours, OURS!” Jimin laughs at the way Yoongi says the statement.

“That sounds better,” Jimin agrees. “So did we decide on a name?”

“Park Jimin, I am not calling this cat Usher!”

“Hyung, I also suggested Monster!”

“My best friend’s stage name had monster in it, no way,” Yoongi scowls.

“All the more reason to do it,” Jimin smiles.

“What’s wrong with Hinata?”

“Nerd!” Jimin yells, which makes the cat leap and jump towards Yoongi.

“Ohmygod,” Yoongi whispers, as if making a sound louder than that will result in her turning away. “Jimin, she’s in my lap!”

“Hyung?”

“Yes?”

“Hinata’s perfect,” Jimin smiles. Yoongi busies himself with admiring the tiny furball nuzzling his thighs but he can hear several clicks of the phone camera.

Later, in bed, Jimin shows him the pictures he’s clicked of Yoongi and Hinata and Yoongi almost cries.

“Oh, Yoongi,” Jimin smiles as he nuzzles into Yoongi’s chest.

“Jimin-ah, I love you.”

“I love you too.”

“You and Hinata make this place home,” he whispers. “No work I will ever produce will give me as much joy as you have brought me. Thank you, my love, you make my heart lighter and brighter.”

Jimin doesn’t say much, only looks up to find Yoongi’s mouth with his own, saying everything he wants with his gestures - hand resting on Yoongi’s chest, mouth urging Yoongi to open up further, legs intertwined with Yoongi’s as if to pull him closer and hold him down, as if to say this is it, we are together, just us in the world and this kiss is all we need to continue.
