Johns is angry that Rodney went off-world with Keller and Ronon. So in the infirmary with the little girl they brought back, he comments. “I can have him forcibly removed if you like?” This made the little girl look up her eyes going wide.“Can you?” she said quietly,

Rodney clicks his fingers at Sheppard. “Alright you and me outside now.”

He was surprised by Rodney's comeback. “I'm good right here.”

Keller and Ronon stood frozen unsure what to think about the situation forming. “Now or there's going to be a scene.” It took a few minutes John relented they went out into the hallway.

John leans against the wall not looking at Rodney, “Something you wanted?” He calmly said like there wasn’t tension building between the pair. “YES,” McKay shouts startling John, “I’m sick and tired of you belittling me in front of others.”

“It was a joke don’t take it so seriously geez.”

“Damn you, I want it to stop or this is going to change I’m serious.” He was serious which stunned John it was a few seconds before he responded.

“I can see you're serious I’m not sure why, what do mean about the change?”

“Me being on the team.” He was lost for words Rodney went on. “You don’t respect me and it’s affecting other people's opinions of me.” All the air left John’s lungs, how could Rodney think that this conversation sucked. “I don’t understand what you mean?” A couple of marines walked passed that didn’t stop them from having this out Rodney was determined.

“When I was off-world Ronon didn’t listen to me.” He looked back in the infirmary Ronon was cosying up with Keller. ”Ronon sees how you act towards me and it has to stop.”

This had to be a weird prank thinks, John he spoke: “We must be in some parallel universe or something.”

“It’s that or you don’t respect me.” John felt cornered looking down at his feet, not into Rodney’s eyes. “Or you are pissed about something.”

This sparked something in Rodney he figured something out, “Eureka!.” He points fingers at John, saying, “You are pissed off about something.” Oh, John thought it wasn’t the whole truth he was surprised Rodney hadn’t figured it out yet.

“Can we move past this so much for not making a scene?” Rodney was not impressed with Sheppard’s response he grabs him by the black jacket he wore. He moves him down the hallways to the nearest transporter heading to his quarters.

Rodney wants to know what was going on with Sheppard, his mind was made up when John spoke, “McKay! What the hell unhand me.” He had a rather strong grip on John’s jacket when Sheppard tried to pull it off but Rodney was having this out. He shouts back yelling, “NO!” They stumble from the transporter McKay leads John down the corridors to his room. Rodney buzzes the door with his free hand shoving John into the room. Rodney locked the door with a passcode with a remote he had in his pocket. To feel safer in his quarters Rodney made himself a remote passcode. John fumed at Rodney he backed away speaks.

“Unlocked the door, NOW.” John clenches his fist together showing he meant business.

The tension hang thick when Rodney spoke, “Not until we talk. I know there’s something that you are angry about besides me doing this.”

A pout came on John’s face like a small child would have, “There is nothing wrong with me except you dragging me past everyone in Atlantis and trapping me in your room.” The two of them almost looked rather comical at times luckily no one else could see them.

“Cut the crap! You are pissed about something now spill.” John’s face showed anger the rest was unreliable. He consider other ways to get out of the room but none sprang to his mind.

“Why do you even care? All you want to do is spend time with Keller.” Rodney was shocked John's face shows sadness. He felt defeated saying that out loud the last few days felt horrible to him. Seeing Rodney go off-world with Keller and Ronon what was he supposed to do about it? Rodney was perched near the end of his bed and now speaks.

“Oh,” Rodney said quietly stepping closer to John. “You could have said something, instead your inner jerk comes out treating me like something on the bottom of your shoe.”

“I’m sorry alright. I didn’t know what to say it feels like I’m getting left behind.” He stood right in front of John using his finger to lift Sheppard’s chin. At this moment John felt his walls come down nothing in front of him. Rodney smiles like he figured out a tough equation seeing the truth before him. “I forgive you I feel like there’s something more.” There was more to say if only John finally got the words out maybe not all of them.

“You like her.” He said in his mind he wanted to say, “You like her more than me.” Rodney let go of John’s chin and grabbed his hand to hold.

“Jennifer is pretty great that doesn’t mean I like her more than you.”

“I want to be honest with you but rules suck.”

“Sometimes rules do but there are ways around them.” Sheppard raises his eyebrow Rodney moves in closer. They stand inches apart looking at each other with bare emotions. “Mmm, I’m going to kiss you now.” Said Rodney shy John just nodded unable to speak. In a split second Rodney’s lips were on his it felt amazing. Sheppard sighed into the kiss his hand trails down Rodney’s back and his butt where it stays. It was a push-pull motion against each other giving then going back to the other.

This kiss was short still full of passion and lust for each other, they break apart needing air everything finally felt out in the open. “What about Keller?” John speaks not sure if he wanted to know the answer a certain part of him did. “I know when to step aside Ronon and Keller are a good match,” Rodney said wholeheartedly being ok with everything he meant it.

“Are you sure if we do this I’m all in?" He kisses John proving how much this means to him he was on board. Rodney smiles John leans with Rodney against the bed, “You have good kissing skills I’m impressed so hot.” He felt impressed by things Rodney did when they kissed, like how Rodney kissed with his whole body and was good with varying pressure.

“I’m happy you approve so we’re clear I love you.” Hearing those words was like music in John’s ears everything made sense and Rodney. He kisses him again with his whole body pressed against his body it felt amazing. That’s how they spent the rest of their time kissing and touching, eventually falling together on the bed ending up sleeping together and being at peace. As Rodney falls asleep he hears John whisper.

"I love you too." John smiles, finally happy and adds, "Forever," and Rodney replies, "And a day."
