It's time to confront them

Summary:

In this conclusion Runt Stinky and Claudette confront Humphrey and Kate about what they've seen them doing.

Work Text:

It was completely silent during dinner time as Runt Stinky and Claudette kept their eyes on Kate and Humphrey while eating their food Kate and Humphrey had their pajamas on but their hair was a little bit messy and every time they looked at each other they snickered and smiled. The three pups glanced at each other before looking at their parents again as they knew exactly what they were snickering about.

Then they stopped smiling after they noticed the looks on Runt, Stinky and Claudette's faces which caused her concern she recalled they had the same looks on their faces when they were finally let back into the house, at first neither Kate or Humphrey addressed it because they were in too much a fantastic mood but now that they seen those faces again now it's time to address it.

"Guys is something wrong?"Kate asked with concern the three pups glanced at each other before Stinky spoke "It depends on your definition of wrong." Kate raised an eyebrow in confusion "what?"Kate asked for clarification.

Humphrey put his fork down and took glances at each of the pups before he deduced what their expressions were about "Look guys if you're upset about us sending you outside for nearly half the day we're sorry but we needed the house to ourselves and besides it's like I told you guys some fresh air would do you guys good instead of sitting in front of the tv all day."Humphrey explained.

Claudette stared directly into Humphrey's eyes "Dad we're not angry about that...ok a little, but we aren't completely mad at you or mom." "Well then what's the matter with you guys you're acting super strange matter of fact you've been acting this way for quite a little while especially You two."Kate said looking at Runt and Stinky. "Before you two could barely look us in the eyes and speak to us and now you guys are looking at us funny and giving each other looks like what is going on is there something bothering you guys?"Kate asked.

Runt sighed then looked at Stinky and Claudette before turning to Kate "Yes mom there is something bothering us, Mom..dad we've seen some things like very very odd things."Runt said confusing Kate and Humphrey "weird how Runt?"Humphrey asked curiously Runt took a deep breath and looked at his mother and father "we've seen you guys play...games wrong and strangely."

This further confused Kate and Humphrey as they didn't know what Runt meant by wong and strangely "It all started just a few nights ago when i saw you and dad... well...wrestling in your room."

Humphrey and Kate's eyes widened in surprise when he said that, then Runt continued his story.

"I was coming back to my room after using the bathroom but then I heard something from your room it was the sound of like bed squeaks like when someone was jumping on it but there were other sounds too i didn't know so out of curiosity went to your door and opened it slightly and saw You and Dad and were doing something i couldn't see at first because your blanket on top of you all I saw was both of your feet and from what I was able to see and tell it looked like Dad was on top of you and he was bouncing on top of you, and a all the while both of you were making these sounds that sounded like grunting and groaning, and then suddenly Dad stopped bouncing and...you both let out this whimper and I've never heard either of you whimper before...and...I thought you two were hurt or something." Runt explained looking between Humphrey and Kate who just sat there in stunned silence.

"But wait it gets stranger."Stinky said as Kate and Humphrey turned to him with their expressions not changing "a couple of days after that I witnessed you two playing Leapfrog incorrectly."Stinky said making Humphrey and Kate looked at each other then back at Stinky. "I was super thirsty so left my room to go get some water and after that I went back upstairs only to hear sounds coming from your bedroom so I went to investigate and I saw you and dad attempting to play Leapfrog, except dad looked like he didn't know what he was doing."

Kate looked away hiding her grin while Humphrey stared at Stinky greatly offended that he would say that, "And then there's today while we were playing outside we heard music coming from your room, out of curiosity I went upstairs and I saw you on top of Dad bouncing while you were both making moaning and groaning sounds."Claudette explained Humphrey turned towards Kate "Told you the music was too loud."he said making Kate roll her eyes.

"Mom dad we liked to know why are you playing Leapfrog wrong?"Stinky said "And why are you guys wrestling without any underwear on?"Claudette asked "And why did you whimper and I saw your toes curl and your legs twitched and shaked, were you actually hurt?"Runt asked with concern about his parents.

Kate and Humphrey just sat there with blank expression but their embarrassment was crystal clear underneath then Humphrey looked at Kate then he spoke "Well if you three must know and you pretty much don't, The reason your mother and I were playing Leapfrog wrong is because that's how moms and dads and adults play Leapfrog it's the adult version, only for adults, and why were we wrestling without our underwear on because like leapfrog we were playing an adult version of wrestling."Humphrey explained firmly.

"And as for why we whimpered and our toes curled and twitched and shaked...we...just liked doing that for no reason,we weren't hurt."Kate said reassuringly "Now that we all addressed your concerns let's end the conversation it shall never be brought up again is that clear?"Humphrey asked in a serious tone the pups nodded in confirmation "great now let's eat."Kate said as she and the rest of them began eating their dinner again now beginning to forget the rather uncomfortable conversation they just had.
