BNHA Reacts to ‘Orchestrated Catastrophe (and the End of the Line)’

Summary:

“Ugh.” Midoriya said, blinking to get his eyes to focus on the room he was in. He was in a theater, and he wasn’t alone. “Guys!?” Midoriya shrieked, looking over to see his classmates waking up. He saw pro hero’s too, even villains!

“What happened!” “Where are we?” “Who brought us here?”

Bing!
YOU ARE HERE TO WATCH AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE.

“What!?”

When Midoriya Izuku and his classmates, teachers; and even pro hero’s and villain get teleported to an unknown theater, they’re forced to watch an alternate universe of theirs. Being played through the eyes of him, how will this go? He doesn’t know.

Notes:

I hope you enjoy this, I know nobody asked for a BNHA reaction Fic for this, but I really love the concept of characters reacting to fandom so I wish to help out that very small community by making more. I will try not making them so OOC as possible, however I will somewhat exaggerate some reactions due to it being an alternate universe.

Let me know if I did any errors, and let me know what you think of this. Chapters will probably come after a chapter of the main story comes out.

[THERE ARE INCONSISTENT UPDATES]

Chapter Text

“Urmm…” Izuku groaned as his eyes fluttered open. His eyes adjusting to the bright room as he sat up, holding his head as a minor headache passed by. He looked around the room to try and find something.

“What the- guys!?” Izuku shrieked as he spotted a few of his classmates. Either just waking up or still laying on the hard carpet floor. He quickly got up and sprinted over towards a few just waking up. “Kirishima!? Jirou!? Todoroki!? Are you guys okay!”

“Ugh… as yeah I’m alright. I just have a slight headache, what happened?” Jirou groaned out as she sat up. Todoroki got up and looked around, “where are we?” Todoroki questioned. “I don’t know.”

“Yuuei Students?” He heard a voice from behind him, he turned around to see Miruko the rabbit hero looking around confused. “A pro hero?” Uraraka from a few feet away muttered.

Soon enough, many people have woken up, ranging from students to pros; he even saw his teacher in the room. “Students come to us!” Midnight yelled out, people huddling around into certain areas of the room.

“Monoma!?” Kaminari shrieked as they saw some 1-B students come towards Present Mic. “Well, if it isn’t class 1-A, what kind of trouble did you get the school into now!?” Monoma complained, Kendou shushing him as Aizawa tried talking.

“We don’t know what’s going on, right now a villain could be here. We need to stay put alright, keep your eyes clear for anything alright.” He concluded, getting ‘yes teacher’ from the crowd of students.

“IZUKU!” Inko scurried along the room as she yelled out to her son. “Mom!?” Izuku shrieked, what was his mother doing here! The Midoriya’s embraced one another in a warm tight hug as his mother cried a bit.

“What are you doing here!? Are you hurt?” Izuku panicked, taking a quick look at his mothers figure to see if there was any bruises or injuries. “No no, I’m alright sweetie.” She confirmed, getting a heaving sigh of relief from her son.

“How’d you get here?” He questioned, his mother tapping her finger on her chin. “I’m not sure, I remember just getting groceries at the mart when I just woke up here.” She concluded, looking around the room.

“HAG!?” Just as Izuku was about to relax, a yell of confusion carried across the room. Their eyes settled on the Bakugou’s, who just started a yelling match.

“WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE!?”

“HOW THE FUCK SHOULD I KNOW KAT! WHY ARE YOU HERE EITHER!”

“HOW THE FUCK SHOULD I KNOW THAT! I WAS IN MY DORM ROOM NOT A SECOND AGO!”

“please stop arguing you two, your causing a scene…” Mitsuki’s husband warned, nervous energy emitting from the man.

The Bakugou’s looked around to spot people looking at them awkwardly. “Why the fuck are there hero’s here?” Mitsuki questioned, confusion evident on her face as a scowl appeared on her sons.

“Mitsuki! You’re here too!” Inko cheered, scurrying over towards Mitsuki and her Husband as they hugged one another. “There goes my mom, just glad she’s safe.” Izuku muttered out, a small smile of amusement present on his face.

“Why are their parents here?” Midnight asked, earning a shrug from Aizawa. “I’m not really sure, but there has to be a reason for this. If I could guess, it might have to do with their sons. Everyone here is somewhat correlated towards them.” He theorized. Earning a hum from her.

“We had to figure out what’s going on. I was at my agency a second ago and now I’m here.” Hawks complained as Miruko sighed next to him. “Quit yapping and use your feathers to scuff out the place bird brain.” She huffed, earning a bawk from him.

“VILLAINS!” someone shouted.

They immediately got into a fighting stance, some confused as their quirk didn’t come up while some remained in their fight pose. The league of villains just a few feet away, looking at them; some alarmed and some completely calm.

“Ek! Don’t look at us!” Compress shrieked as he waved his hands in front of him in a surrendering or protecting stance. Toga next to him was completely calm, which unnerved them as they were use to seeing her in a sugar rush state.

“Where are we? Why are you here?” Present Mic demanded, his eyes glowered in hate as he looked at the villains sitting in the chairs. “What did you do?” He continued on his ranting questions.

”Don’t look at us! We have nothing to do with this!” Compress wailed, “We have no idea how we got here! We were just lounging when we woke up here!” He exclaimed, toga next to him brushing her skirt neatly as she sits.

“Then why are we here? Who did this?” Hawks edged on, trying to get some ounce of info. “I don’t know!? Why would we want to be stuck with you!” Compress exasperated.

“We don’t really know who did this. I was originally sleeping when I woke up here, so I have no idea what’s going on.” Toga added, still calm as she rubbed her eyes.

“At least we know the league didn’t do any of this. Now we just have to figure out how everyone got here.” Detective Tsukauchi sighed out as he looked around, the room appeared to look like a theater room. Rows of seats and a big screen tv present as the only items in the room.

“How do you know if they’re lying.” Kendou replied, she didn’t know who this person was so she was curious. After all, the teacher did say to be on the lookout. “My quirk allows me to know if they are, that’s all I can really give out with my line of work.” He told, Kendou nodding in silent reply.

“So nobody knows anything. Did anyone get hit by a quirk maybe?”

“I was off duty, and no fights were present in my area otherwise I would’ve heard it.” Miruko huffed.

“It’s a Saturday so nobody at the school was working, and all the students were at the dorms.” Aizawa stated.

“None of us went out today or yesterday or were attacked or attacking somebody.” Dabi groaned out.

“I was out getting groceries… but there was no fights happening nearby.” Inko jittered nervously, twirling her fingers in her hands.

“I was at home making tea.” Mitsuki added.

“So then what caused this?”

“Umm, everyone.” Everyone turned towards Toga, who was now standing next to the tv looking down on the ground. She knelled down to grab what looked like a flooded piece of paper. “There’s a note here.” She explained.

“Well Toga, read it! It could explain why we’re here.” Spinner jumped at, looking at the girl as she unfolded the paper to read it. Everyone waited in bated breath as her face took on a confused and startled one.

“Uhh…” was all she could say to them as she blinked at the note as if it would change the content inside. “What does it say?” Miruko asked, her hand twirling to chide the girl into answering.

“Maybe- Maybe my eyes are deceiving me… but I don’t believe this note for one second! Someone else should read!” She inquired, waving the note around in the air. “I’ll read it, I can pick up on lies.” Tsukauchi offered as he grabbed the note from the girls offering hands.

He coughed in his throat to ease his voice, getting ready to speak to the room. “Hello, do not be worried as I am not here to hurt anyone present in this room.” “Starting off strong Eh?” Hawks chuffed out. “You all have been brought here to react to an Alternate Universe of yours.”

The room despite being silent, was begging for answers. “Well, I’m not picking up on any lies.” Tsukauchi muttered out to the room as everyone looked shocked. “There’s still some writing hold on.”

“This Alternate Universe will be showed through the big screen present in the front of the room.” Everyone turned to see the tv. “It will be played as though you are watching a movie. If anyone has any questions, yell out the words ‘Question Box’ and a box will appear in front of the person, recite your question into the box and the answer will pop up in words on the tv; pausing the ‘movie’ temporarily before starting once again.”

“That’s nice and convenient.” Midnight stated.

“If one has any commentary during the ‘movie’ it will pause temporarily before started one again once everyone is quiet. Seating arrangement will have the persons name on the seat, you are required to sit there. Fighting is allowed only if you are arguing, no fist fighting. Before ‘movie’ starts, you will be required to fill out a food and drink form. After each hour, food and drinks will be delivered by our trusted delivery cat Muffins.”

“Aww, a delivery cat named muffins!” Uraraka cooed as she listened in. “Yeah, I wonder what Muffins will look like.” Jirou added in as they pictured what the cat could possibly look like.

“That was it.” Tsukauchi sighed as he dropped the note in his hands, “no lies, all truth down to the smallest thing.” Endeavor snarked and some hero’s cursed under their breath. “This is ridiculous, an alternate universe?” Endeavor groaned out frustrated.

“Question box.” Aizawa shouted, earning some looks from some hero’s and students of his. “You have a question already Shota?” Present Mic smirked at him. “Hmm well, I have a few. It doesn’t hurt to get more info, I’m trying to dig them dry.” He sighed as the box appeared in front of him.

“What is this place exactly?” Bing!

This place is a small personal theater room dedicated to showing multiple different universes. This place is owned by Xiel and lives within an inter-dimensional pocket.

“What the fuck.” Miruko deadpanned as they all stared at the screen. “X, I, E, L? How the fuck do you even say that name?” Dabi added in astounding. “Inter-dimensional pocket!?” Izuku bawked out.

“Next question, what happened to our quirks?” Aizawa asked, getting some odd stares at some people. “What do you mean? My quirk is working just fine.” Spinner said as people looked at him to confirm his quirk, in fact, is working fine.

“Yeah I agree, mine also is working.” Hawks added. “So is mine,” Tsukauchi retorted also, “nah, my quirk isn’t working at all, something’s up.” Dabi said as he tried igniting a fire in his hand.

“Neither is mine, see~” Toga backed up, having people looks at her as she bared her teeth to show her fangs are gone and normal teeth were replaced for it. Bing!

Your quirks have been temporarily put on hold, you will get them back once you leave. Some people’s quirks either cannot be removed or aren’t removed. Mutant quirks such as hawks and Spinner can’t be removed while the Detective has his quirk for research purposes strictly for the movie.

“That makes sense, major mutations can’t really be removed. Minor mutations like Togas fangs can be removed.” Spinner concluded. Tsukauchi nodded as he realized the reason he has his quirk, maybe it was to prove if a lie was told during the ‘movie’.

“Next, how long will we be here?” Bing!

You will be here for approximately a couple hours, when you are here time is different, you will be sent back to where you originally were as if time stopped when you were gone.

“So times different, makes sense since it said it was an inter-dimensional thingy.” Tsukauchi noted, Nedzu next to him nodding along. “This is quite interesting…” Nedzu complimented, he found really no harm in this.

“Why are some people here like the three 1-B students?” Bing!

The people that have been selected to react are correlated to the people who will make a presence in the ‘Movie’ for example, Shiozaki Ibara makes a presence in the movie, however she might not like her alternate self therefor she’s replaced with three 1-B students. Some people however are here just to react and aren’t correlated to any at all.

“Interesting.” All might said as he took a seat in his assigned chair, Nedzu quickly sitting on his lap as they shared a seat; not that the two minded.

“What would not make Ibara love her alternate self?” Kendou worried as she looked towards her other two classmates. “Maybe the Ibara in the movie doesn’t do religion, maybe that would do it?” Testutestu replied. “Possibly.”

“Hmm…” Aizawa hummed as he evaluated what had just been told. Some people here have correlations to others while some have none at all. It could possibly be one of his students, as almost everyone present has been with at least seven of his students. He now knows that Ibara is one of them, but he needs to know more.

“How will the movie be playing?” Bing!

The ‘Movie’ will be played through the eyes of someone present throughout the entirety of what we’re showing. Sometimes it will play through a different persons POV before switching back to the main person. Basically as if you were watching a movie mixed with a biography.

“Interesting, played through the eyes of someone here? That’s why we’re all here.” Midnight stated the obvious. “So someone in here is basically going to watch an alternate life of theirs, awesome.” Kirishima crackled. Pumping his fist in the air.

“But who is it that’s the question.” Present Mic retorted, an uneasy feeling on watching someone’s life treaded past as he huffed out a sigh. “Might as well get this over with, you almost done with the questions Shouta?” He raised an eye brown as he looked up and down at the man.

“Almost, don’t rush me.” He huffed. “Whose eyes is the movie being played through?” Bing!

This ‘Movie’ will be played through the eyes of Midoriya Izuku and a few others he meets overtime. Midoriya Izuku would be the ‘Main Character’ of this ‘Movie’.

“WHAT! Why me~!” Izuku whined as he held his face in his hands. Inko patted her sons back in some reassurance and support. He swears he heard a mutter of ‘problem child’ behind him from his teacher.

“Woah! We get to watch another version of your life Midoriya! An alternate version of you!” Kaminari and Kirishima cheered as Uraraka backed them up on their excitement. “That’s cool.” Jirou added.

“Wah!” Izuku flushed as he covered his whole head with his arms, his face blushing a beet red. His mother giggled as she saw his friends tease him. Mitsuki laughed hard, slapping Izuku’s back as he cough from the roughness.

“It’ll be nice to see another version of you Izuku! Looking at another life of my Nephew! Hah!” Mitsuki continued as the rest of the Bakugou’s sat down in their assigned seats.

“NEPHEW!?” Some of the his classmates yelled out in shock. “You guys are cousins!?” Kaminari yelled as he got in Izuku’s face. “You guys are related!?” Mina added on to the fuel.

“Ha!” Mitsuki and Inko laughed, it was always funny seeing people think that. “No no. Us Bakugou’s aren’t related to the Midoriya’s, but we hold them dearly in our hearts and keep them at our grasp!” Mitsuki explained, Inko nodding along.

“Our families have been friends for quite some time, it started first with our mothers, then led to us, then to our sons.” Inko helped, getting pouts from both the sons. Some students ‘oohed’ as they learned more about the two.

“I wonder what the alternate version of Izuku looks like?” Inko hummed, thinking and muttering about what her alternate son could look like. ‘We know where he gets it from’ Class 1A blanked.

“How do we start?” Aizawa asked his final question. Bing!

Once everyone is seated in their assigned seats, Muffins will come in with a button on his collar. Push the button and it will begin the ‘Movie’.

“So…I guess we should get started then.” Hawks commented as he took a seat in the soft chair labeled ‘Hawks’. The pro hero’s quickly following along. The villains already sitting in their assigned seats to begin with. The students now going around and finding their labeled chairs.

Katsuki and Izuku were seated next to each other, which unnerved the two as they were close together and both of them were quite far from their parents. The teachers were happy that they surrounded the students and parents present. Able to protect them from all sides.

The villains wondered if any of them had to do with this, they had to be here for a reason and the only reason they could think of is that one of them make an appearance, they wonder who though.

“Meow!” Everyone turns to see a fluffy calico cat strutting towards them, its mouth having a grip on some papers. He lifted his head to give the papers to Toga, who was squealing at how cute the cat was.

“What is that he’s handing out to us?” Nedzu asked, tilting his head as Toga passed the papers around. “It’s a little menu, I guess it’s to specify what we want to eat and drink during our time here.” Rock-Lock stated as he passed the papers behind him.

“So we can write down our preferences, and then I’m guessing once we finished we’ll have the button ready.” Midnight contorted, writing down her personal meal preference on the sheet.

Once everyone finished writing their meals down, they passed all the papers to the front where Muffins was sitting and waiting. Toga handed the papers to the cat which then took them. A button making its appearance on the collar, waiting for Toga to press it.

“Alright, I’m pressing the button!” Toga yelled out before pushing the red button. Muffins quickly left the room through a small cat door before the room dimmed its lighting and the screen started to turn on.

Welcome to Xiel’s REACT Room.

Today you will be reacting to Universe 1, known as ‘Orcestrated Catastrophe (and the End of the Line)’

“Universe 1?” Tsukauchi stammered, everyone was silent as they soon will begin watching the universe play through its life. “Does that mean there’s a certain number of universes? Or maybe the first universe we’re seeing?” He muttered out to Nedzu.

“Im not quite sure myself, however that title for this universe doesn’t sound good.” Nedzu told, his ear twitching in curiosity as he watched the screen.

This Universe is played through the eyes of Midoriya Izuku. In this Universe, something happened in Japan that made it fall into complete ruin, and making it the end of Japan.

Gasps were heard all throughout the room as they stared at the brief summary. Everyone chilled as the room became uncomfortably unsettled. Nobody could believe it, the end of Japan due to something that happened in this world.

The hero’s shock was present on their faces. Were there no hero’s to help save Japan? Where were they? What happened to the people? So many questions yet very little answers.

The students were unsettled by this, the end of Japan fallen in this Universe. This could’ve happened to them as well, but they didn’t bother to announce that. “Hey wait a second!” Izuku cried as he stared at the screen.

“This plays through the eyes of me right? Does that mean that I’m alive still or something? I’m in Japan when it’s the end of it!” Izuku cried out as his classmates suddenly understood.

“My baby!” Inko cried as she soon took in his words, the teachers cursing under their breath. All might stuttered his breathing as he heard this, Tsukauchi and the pros grimacing as they thought about it.

Food and Drinks will come after the third chapter. Muffins will bring them for you, some quirks are disabled and only verbal fighting is allowed. Question Box will be available for everyone at anytime. Some questions won’t be answered due to containing spoilers.

Everyone waited in bated breath as the starting screen loaded in. Dreading for what’s to come now that they knew some detail of it. Izuku and his family stared worryingly at the screen.

Izuku huffed as he looked at his friends that were by his side. Uraraka looking concerned as her hands fisted her skirt, and Katsuki glared at the tv.

He sighed as he felt slight reassurance knowing that his peers are beside him. He felt safer and a lot more comfortable.

Orchestrated Catastrophe (and the End of the Line)

Chapter One: Courage

Notes:

Hope this was okay for a first starting chapter. I didn’t spend too much time on this so errors like spelling and punctuation will probably occur.

I added some elements from head cannons or just personal wanting to. Like having the Bakugou’s and Midoriya’s being long time family friends seemed pretty nice concept and to me so I added it.

I forgot to have Aizawa ask a question so I’ll improvise in the next chapter by adding that question along the way.

Muffins was improvised. He won’t make an appearance that much, only for food and drinks which will happen every five-eight chapters.

The seating arrangement will be displayed in the next chapter and in the notes so that you could understand. Some people may not talk a lot but I’ll try adding in characters dialogue as they go.

Hope you enjoyed this first chapter, kinda rushed so hopefully this isn’t bad. :3

Chapter 1: Courage

— Courage —

~ One Month Prior ~

“So, what do we think this might be about?” Midnight asked everyone, “I’m not to sure myself, but if anyone has any predictions..?”

“Although this might be a stretch, I think this might have to do with a natural disaster,” Nedzu stated, a little smile evident on his face. All Might adjusted him on his lap.

“Well, we do get tsunamis. It’s not a complete stretch,” All Might backed up, scratching the side of his chin.

“Alright, so a natural disaster. Why do you think this ‘chapter’ is called courage?” Tsukauchi asked, shifting in his seat till he’s draping lazily on it.

“It could be that Midoriya might take a leading role in helping others. It’s in his nature after all,” All Might beamed, proud of the person he’s talking about.

“Perhaps,” Tsukauchi replied back.

The room darkened as the laptop was closed shut. He stretched his arms from where he was sitting as he got up and went to the kitchen. He was alone; his mother was working today at the hospital, a cold was surging in the hospital recently. They previously went shopping for groceries and he was craving something pasty.

“WHAT!!!” Class 1-A yelled out in shock as they stared at the Midoriya on screen. Class 1-B looked in shock as well, switching their gaze to the Midoriya on screen to the one with them. Izuku stared, astonished. He couldn’t believe that’s what he looked like.

“My boy, you look quite older,” All might noted.

“Yeah! You look about my age!” Mirio cheered as he held Eri in his arms. Midoriya looked at the screen, and couldn’t help but stare harder at the paused screen.

He looks really older, about maybe 18? His frame had really little muscle. Was he not a hero in this world? His head had more greasy fluff than just pure fluff, and his face had more freckles.

“You look…more…more…lanky,” Todoroki said, not knowing what else to add to that. Midoriya just chuckled as he scratched his chin a bit.

“I look nice,” He accepted, making a small smile.

“You look like a dweeb,” Bakugou snarked playfully. Midoriya smiled back and laughed. “Sure sure Kacchan,” he giggled before frowning.

“But, yeah you’re right, am I a hero in this world? I look really skinny,” He judged as he stared. “Why don’t you ask?” Uraraka implied.

“Question box please,” Izuku asked before a box appeared in front of him. “Am I a hero in this world- err- universe?” He stammers. Bing!

This world doesn’t have hero’s. So no, you are not a hero in this Universe

“Harsh..” Izuku grimaced before blinking. “Wait, no hero’s?” He looked at his teacher. “This world doesn’t have hero’s, I wonder how that’ll change things,” He huffed.

“No hero’s!?” Endeavor growled, “Is that why it’s the end of the world? Because there’s no hero’s to protect it?” Miruko stressed, the hero’s took in the words displayed on the screen. Without hero’s? That must mean villains took over right? Did this world not think of quirks being used to save people yet?

”Hah! Villains took over your world! Take that hero’s!” Shigaraki hissed as he sat up from his seat, startling spinner who sat next to him. “You pests think that you can save everyone when you can’t! And you see for yourself in this world!” He cackled out.

“You know, Japan being destroyed in this world when villains took over doesn’t help your cause on villainy for- and I quote- ‘changing the world’,” Tsukauchi deadpanned as he made fake quotations in the air.

Shigaraki huffed as he slumped back in his seat. “Whatever, maybe these villains aren’t us. Maybe there’s some random NPC’s that just got lucky dips,” He remarked. “Maybe those villains don’t know how to change the world like we do,”

“Or, maybe you’re just stupid,” Dabi muttered, Shigaraki twitching his hand as he overheard. “Tch,” He quipped, shutting up. Destroying Japan won’t change anything, he knew that.

“Wouldn’t that like- not be possible?” Spinner questioned. The hero’s and villains looked at him weirdly. “Are you saying we can’t take over the world?” Shigaraki raged, hands twitching as he glared at his comrade.

“No, I have all my faith in you Shiggy. It’s just, if there’s no hero’s…wouldn’t we not exist? Like- if there’s no hero’s then there can’t be any villains right? You need hero’s to defeat villains, and you need villains to make hero’s? That’s like- every hero comic ever…” Spinner rambled.

Rocklock huffed, “well, he’s got a point. That’s the fundamental process of villains and hero’s. If villains didn’t exist, we would be out of a job,” he said sternly. “Not saying villainy is needed, definitely isn’t. But we also shouldn’t need hundreds of hero’s to have civilians feel protected,” he added.

“Yes, you two are very much correct. There always will be an imbalance and vendetta against one another, but without one, the other couldn’t function,” Nedzu nodded in agreement.

”That’s why it couldn’t have been villains whom destroyed this worlds Japan. It had to of come from a secondary source,” he finished.

The hero’s nodded.

He wouldn't settle for anything else.

He opened the fridge to see some leftover pasta, that'll do. He set it up, waiting for it to be ready. Meanwhile he went online to check out some of the new figures that are coming out. He really wanted that one character and he was desperate to get it.

”Classic Deku,” Uraraka and Bakugou muttered under their breath, Inko giggled quietly as Izuku bawked as he heard their mutter. “Hey!” He whined, “I don’t always look for new figures!” “You know that’s not true. Don’t lie,” Bakugou argued.

“Though, I do wonder what kind of figures I’d get in that world. I usually get hero figures like All Might and Hawks and even Mt. Lady but they aren’t hero’s in this world so would I still have figures of them in different occupations or would I get figures from books and movies of sort? I haven’t really read any manga but I do know some manga has popular fan-bases to produce figures-”

“Deku! Shut your trap!” Bakugou screeched, annoyed at the muttering the green boy was doing in his seat. “Wah! Sorry Kacchan…” he chirped sadly as he went back to looking at the screen.

He's seen some videos and pictures of some place burning and sparking, which was worrying. From what he's seen, it seemed to be an incident where someone busted a fuse of some sort. He hoped everyone in there was okay and wasn't seriously injured.

They were suddenly hit with the reminder that Japans’ end will come in this world they’re watching. The atmosphere becoming still as people’s hearts pumped in their ears, a silence that stretched as they watched the Alternate-Deku scroll through his phone. Viewing a video of a smoking building.

“So a fuse started the end of Japan? Isn’t that concerning? Almost everything has a fuse nowadays,” Uraraka turned towards her teachers as they looked at each other. “You’re correct, most things require fusses or batteries, which this is concerning. We should check Yuuei for any problems like this,” Aizawa suggested as he talked to Nedzu.

“I agree, I’d say we should check places that mainly use fuses, but we aren’t allowed to investigate something like that without proof or further notice. We should just focus on Yuuei.” Nedzu contemplated.

“A fuse? That’s so common for something that’s disastrous,” Dabi sneered, a fuse caused the end of Japan. How convenient to know anyone could cause the end of Japan. “What a moron, whoever blew that fuse is an idiot,” Shigaraki degraded.

It was quite peaceful out today, it was sunny and a nice cool breeze hit the air this afternoon. It was the middle of summer so he hoped it wasn't too hot outside; however today was lovely and he was enjoying it. 'Maybe it'd be nice to go out for a little walk'.

“No! Don’t go outside my poor baby..!” Inko wailed, knowing the dread that will soon come. “Mom I’m alright! Alternate me is just thinking to, not actually doing it!” Izuku tried to reassure.

“Yeah… maybe not the best idea to go outside right now,” Kaminari interjected, Kirishima lightly hitting him in the head for his statement. “Ouch! Hey- what was that for!” Kaminari whined.

A rumble stopped his footing, there was a shake much like a small earthquake. Was something going on outside? A gust of wind blew from outside, almost popping his eardrums with how loud the gust was. Was everything alright outside? He heard screaming coming from the nearby houses, the housing where the two lived was small, not many big buildings were in this area.

“It’s starting…” Hawks worried, his wings puffed up a little as he saw the Alternate-Deku’s confusion on screen. Hearing the screams of people muffled from the house made a deep roll of dread in everyone’s stomach.

“I don’t like where this is going. It’s obvious something’s going on outside…but will Midoriya go out is the question,” Tsukauchi stated as a single sweat drop rolled down his face. All might panicked for his successor, the emotion clearly taking the mans face hostage.

“Oh dear…it’s happening in our neighborhood,” Inko weeped as she look over to her son. “Hey Inko look! You don’t live in an apartment in this world!” Mitsuki stated, trying to diverge the stress off of her friend.

“You’re right, I didn’t even notice earlier,” She said as she looked at the screen curious. The home was nicer than their apartment. “Yeah! Maybe we live in the same neighborhood!” Mitsuki smiled warmly. “That’d be nice.”

He looked out the window, people were running; some in opposite directions of others, he has no idea what was going on. The brown-orangish hue in the air didn't slow his worry down; it couldn't be sunset as it was still in the afternoon, so it had to be something else in the air. Whatever it was, it was making people cough, some looked to be choking.

“The hell?” Miruko voiced, confusion was heard in her voice as they stared at what was happening in on screen. Watching people choke on a mysterious thing was something they weren’t expecting to see. “What the fuck,” She said again.

“What’s happening?” All might questioned, “I’m not too sure myself,” Mirio said, covering Eri’s eyes. “The internet mentioned a fuse, maybe this has to do with the fuse? An explosion perhaps, maybe a toxic one,” Nedzu concluded.

“That’s weird,” Kirishima frowned, his eyes shining with untold worry as he watched. The parents worried as they stared at their children. Would they be okay?

He slowly but surely started to freak out. With everyone screaming and choking on orange and brown air, he didn't know what to do. He decided to not go outside, if everyone was choking, something must have been happening outside and he's seen too many extraterrestrial movies to know when not to do something.

”Heh. Good thing he’s thinking logically,” Aizawa chuffed, secretly very relieved that he chose the most safest option…as opposed to his actual student.

“Well I mean- at that point what can you do? He essentially trapped right?” Gran Torino stated, “There’s no hero’s in this world so what’s he gonna do? ‘Oh! I’m going out there to fight these mysterious air particles’ you just can’t,” He finished.

A couple students chuckled at his sarcasm, but the hero’s just nodded their heads solemnly. “The thinking processes of an attack of sort would probably be different because there’s no hero’s,” Recovery girl mentioned.

”Elaborate,”

“What I mean is that, people in this world might think on approaching this scenario differently than how people in our world would. Just put it like this- if someone robs a bank right? In our world, the civilians wouldn’t interact with the bank robber because a hero would just come in a few swift minutes and subdue. However in this world, the civilians might attack or talk to the robber to get a hold of the situation before cops or authority arrive,” she explains.

“Or another example, a kid might be on the streets and in our world, many people would have the hero’s deal with it. However in this world, people might take the kid in or bring them to a facility,” she continued on.

Shigaraki gripped the seat harshly, eyes turning cold.

“In our world, people rely on the hero’s a lot, mainly because they shaped the way society is today. Without hero’s to rely on, it would make sense having to rely on yourself or your peers.”

Many people paid close attention to her words, and to them, yeah. It checks out. It would make sense different worlds have different mannerisms in…everything really.

He checked his phone again, trying to see what was happening. Many people were confused, some posted pictures of people laying on the ground, supposedly dead outside with the caption asking what the hell's happening.

”Wh-What?” Monoma shrieked, confusion drawing on his face. The other students feeling the same, looking at each other and towards their teachers for any reasoning.

“People are just- dropping like flies!?” Uraraka whispers in confusion, turning to Aizawa again for any hint of knowledge. “It…appears so,” He hesitates.

Everyone became tense as they tried calming down. Izuku and Inko needing to calm down the most, the two worried for each other.

He texted his mom, he had to make sure she was alright.  After he texted her, he quickly closed the blinds to the outside and checked if the doors were locked, he was NOT going to have anything to do with going outside until his mother texted him back.

“Mom! You’re out there at the hospital!” He cried out as he began to cry. “I’m sure I’ll be fine.” Inko dismissed, she didn’t want her son to cry over her unknowing death. “I’m proud that you decided to wait until I get home Izuku…” she praised lightly.

“Hmm,” He hummed as a slight ‘thank you’.

He turned on the tv, quickly switching to the news to figure out what's happening; he's never really watched the news but surely they might have a conclusion on what's going on outside. Except, nothing. Nothing popped up; static was all the tv could do, no channels were airing.

“The network is already down! That quickly!?” Gran Torino exclaimed as he and a few others had a bead of sweat roll down their faces.

“That usually never happens, they have a monitor for a global emergency shown for as long until then. That’s usually a span of an hour.” Tsukauchi stated, drawing more worry from the crowd.

Now he was panicking. The network wasn't working anymore, at least he thinks due to the static on the tv. This is serious, he has no idea what's happening and has no way of knowing anything. His phone was still working, but it's incredibly slow, the network wasn't working on anything.

The screaming outside was quieter yet held more hysterical then he's ever heard. He decided the tv wasn't needed and turned it off; his phone was now no longer getting service so he shut it off, waiting for his mothers text back. He sat on the couch, hands stroking his hair back, an indication he was stressed.

“Huh, so I fidget with my hair when I’m stressed in this world?” Izuku pointed out, he didn’t really fidget with his hair. He usually picked his nails or cramped his fingers when he was stressed. “T-That’s interesting.” He squeaks, trying to keep his mind off of the fading screams; which wasn’t working.

The hero’s looked shocked and some were even angry. However, some couldn’t help but feel…detached. Some hero’s have seen stuff similar to this, some with even worse experience. They couldn’t help but feel guilt, but no sorrow.

For them, people dying or getting injured was a common occurrence, sometimes even expected. Seeing this on screen, they couldn’t help but wonder if this Midoriya would feel the same way they feel.

Nothing, yet everything.

He decided to wait it out, it was still the afternoon so he had time. He decided to get his forgotten pasta from the microwave, setting it down on the table in front of the couch before getting up and double checking his home.

His mother's room was closed, he decided not to go in there. The bathroom was open, his room was closed but he opened the door. His laptop still shut from finishing his classes not four minutes ago. He decided to try out his laptop to see if his school has to say anything.

“Am I in Yuuei? I look older so I might be in college in this universe right? Also online school? That’s a thing?” Izuku questioned as he looked at his teacher. He hoped to get answers from him however his principle answered them.

“Yuuei might be a high school or not, or it might even not exist! Though I’m sure any school is good for you, as you’re a smart boy. As for the online, it is possible to transfer your studies to online. Many colleges do that with their students.” Nedzu explained. “Huh.”

“Aw, Izuku you can go into my room whenever you feel like! Im always there for you.” Inko reassured him, despite not actually being the one on screen. “Thank you mom.” Izuku said sweetly.

“Good idea checking in with you school, they might have an announcement of some sort.” Mirio praised. “Again, not me.” Izuku deadpanned. “Whatever!”

Once again, he had no internet therefore it was pointless. He wondered if his school was on lockdown, or if they didn't do anything, he didn't really know considering he doesn't go there personally.

“So I’ve never been to my schools campus. Huh, but I should know where it is at least.” Izuku concluded.

U.A academy was the # 1. University for grade A students who wanted professions such as a lawyers, doctors, scientists, designers, actors, and etc. With requirements of 4.0 or higher for GPA and an absolute clean record. U.A taught its students about how to make big money and healthy hard-working professions.

He applied for U.A about a year ago, during his senior year first semester at his high school. He was a freshman at U.A, at 17. He had straight A's in all honors and even had extra college credit due to extra courses or internships he took advantage of. With a full clean record and a 5.0 GPA.

“Holy Shit!” A student said, “good job Midoriya!”

“Yeah! You’re so smart, in this world and that world!” Uraraka cheered, giving a high-five to him. “T-Thanks, but it’s not me,” he said sheepishly.

Nedzu hummed, he was glad his school was #1, and was also glad of its main goals. He figured some changes towards schooling would be drastic.

“Damn, Thats Manly work!” Kirishima praised, he was extremely happy that his friend was able to get in; he didn’t even think he could get into this Yuuei. “Err…thanks, but again it’s not me,” He stammered.

“Ah! I’m so proud of my babies!” Inko cried out with a big smile on her face. Izuku flushed when hearing her. “I’m really proud of your alternate self Deku! That must’ve been a wonderful feeling when you got accepted,” Uraraka noted.

“Yeah, I’m glad he got in, it must’ve been amazing,” Izuku lolled, sighing dreamily as he remembered his own feeling of getting into Yuuei.

Kaminari and Mina were shell shocked, they wouldn’t even be a thought of being in Yuuei in this world, as the didn’t have any of the requirements met. Other than the clean record.

“Damn. And I thought our Yuuei was strict as hell,” Dabi deadpanned as he looked at the description. “Hmm, I wonder if any of the other class 1-a brats got in,” Spinner wondered. “Possibly that Momo girl! And Ochako!” Toga gossiped.

“Would any of those teachers be at that school? It must be as strict to get in as a teacher as it is a student right?” Compress questioned. “I don’t know,” Spinner snarked.

He wished to be a chemist or scientist, maybe even a doctor. He has all honors but is specifically majoring in chemistry, biology, and mathematics, and had many internships at hospitals and medical schools thanks to his mother.

“That’s a great profession to have! Amazing thinking on this Midoriya’s part!” Iida complimented as he chopped his hand in the air. “Yeah! Being a scientist is cool! Even a doctor!” Mina cheered.

“You would not rock a lab coat Deku,” Katsuki grunted as he continued staring at the screen, ignoring the bawk that Midoriya made at his statement.

However, due to how far the university is from his home; he (as well as the school board), decided it would by best if he did his classes online. He's never been to the university personally, he doesn't even know the main entrance to the building.

“That sucks,” Kendou sighed as she watched. “Mm, logical,” Aizawa said as his class made a nervous giggle.

He sighed as he thought about his school. He hoped everyone at the university was okay, it was still class hours for some people so he hoped they were safe. He was lucky to be inside while everything outside was happening.

Everyone sobered up, forgetting for a second that the end of their country. Thinking about how they would feel about that happening during class, the students shivered.

Quickly finding a navy blue hoodie in his closet, he put it on and went back out into the living room. Finding his now once again cold pasta on a plate. He had to warm it up again.

He hunched his arms on the counter, waiting for his pasta to be once again warmed up. It was deadly quiet outside now, only exception was the far far away screams he'd hear every couple minutes. The house seemed too quiet, he didn't even want to mutter anything as he usually does.

The only sounds that came was from the microwave beeping, and then him setting up his plate again before eating at the table. One chair empty. His mother's chair. The house was lit only by a little, he had only two lights on and with no natural light it became pretty dark. The lighting was orange, reminding him of the color the sky was while he was eating.

Izuku hurled in on himself as he saw his mothers chair empty on screen. “Mom…” he muttered out, his eyes watering as he thought of what happened to his mom.

He hoped this wasn't as big as it was, he hoped it was just panic and that it will all be cleared soon; and that the sky wouldn't be that orange-brownish hue and be back to blue. That everyone would be fine and that everything would remain the way it was 15 minutes ago. That his mother would come home saying how packed the hospital was and what she was doing.

He ate the pasta in silence, ruffling his hair back as he ate as his leg bouncing swiftly. He didn't like not knowing anything, he wanted to know as much as he could. His heart pounded a little and his stomach tingled. A gut feeling, a bad one; one that made him question if he was safe.

He felt like he needed to distract himself, he quickly finished and set the plate in the sink as he went up to his room. He fished for his notebooks, pulling out both his school and his personal one's and he sat in his bed.

“My room looks different,” Midoriya noted, “It’s possibly because hero merch doesn’t exist, but it looks like I still have figures so that didn’t change.”

“I still have my notebooks though so that’s nothing different,” he pouted, “maybe it’s just me that thinks it’s different…”

“It’s totally just you, I didn’t see anything different than your dorm room,” Mina said bluntly. Midoriya pouted even more, before making a tired grimace.

He went through his school notebooks first, looking at his notes from his classes; some elements he wrote down as well as his notebook full of doctoral information he learned about. Learning how to stitch wounds up or clean them, he would always keep this on him. It was in his backpack at all times.

“That’s handy, I should probably start doing that as well,” He muttered, putting his hand to his lips, “That could be well for this other me also.”

He finished reading as quickly as he wrote them, disappointed he did finish reading. His personal notebook was next, it was leaning more towards a diary than anything; though he'd never admit that to anyone.

Midoriya flushed a bright red as some of his classmates looked at him. He too, had a diary that he use to write in back during his time in Aldera. He pledged to never open it again, as he remembered the horrible things he wrote in them.

“You have a diary I’m guessing?” Bakugou questioned as he watched the others face grow more and more red. The other nodded as his face steamed. “Y-Yeah I did. I don’t ever want to see it again though. It was pretty bad,” He muttered.

“How bad?” Todoroki wondered, tilting his head a bit. “Urm, I- Umm. L-Let’s just continue watching!” He dodged the question, face burning red.

It was just him talking about certain things, like what happened that day or jotting down the birthdays of his friends. His plans for the future, or even just a list of things he needed to buy. The figurine he was checking up on 30 minutes ago was at the bottom of that very list.

Most of the notebook was blank, only about 12 pages were filled. He didn't really think on turning this into a diary, but today turned sour so quickly. He just felt like he needed to write about what happened. He found a pen at his desk and went to the first blank page of many.

”This is actually very smart on his part,” Tsukauchi said, getting some looks. “This way, he can time the date so he knows what month or day it is. Time is essential when surviving after all,” He explained, getting some hums in agreement and nodding off heads.

“Agreed. This is extremely beneficial,” Aizawa nodded along, gripping his scarf and tugging it up to his lips. He stared at the screen in thought.

“I mean- you could almost say it’s…logical?” Present mic teased the grumpy man, who grumbled into his scarf. The students tried stifling their laughters in their hands, failing.

“While I usually agree, it’s only beneficial if he keeps it up. He’d have to do this everyday or at least five times a week to understand the time date. If he doesn’t track the nights, it’ll mess up everything,” Nedzu countered, a small smile present of his face.

“True.”

6/15/?? - M/D/Y

Today was going good until 30 minutes ago. something happened outside and I heard people screaming and saw people choking outside. The sky turned orange, it was weird. Internet is out, nothing is working. I decided to hoard myself inside for now until mom gets back. I already ate, and I hope this flies over soon. I dont really have anything to say about this, I dont have any clue what happened. Maybe this had to do with the science lab exploding earlier today. Im just going to hang tight.

He sighed as he closed the notebook, he'll probably write again in this when he feels like it. He backed his head onto the wall as he laid on his bed, having no idea what to do. As he wrote, he'll just hang tight.

”Question box,” Kaminari said, earning some surprised looks from his peers. “Kaminari..? You have a question about something?” Mina asked. “Yeah…I think I might know where this is going,” Kaminari concerns.

“What do you mean?” Midoriya asked, everyone staring at Kaminari as the box appears. “I noticed something about the setting. Like, movie wise, It’d be easy to find out what’s happening- ya know?” Kaminari pointed out.

Kaminari huffed as he prepared for his question, “Is this an apocalyptic sort-a-thing? Like the end of the world by like- zombies?”

“Kaminari there’s no way,” Kirishima breathlessly laughed, obvious worry evident. A few others gasped and some gave questioning looks.

“Just think about it!” Kaminari shrieks, “in the beginning, it said it’s the end of the world! That usually means an apocalypse! But! Remember what it said about Midoriya! He’s seen too many extra-terrestrial movies! Then a lab with scientists explodes! That’s not a coincidence!” He pleads his case.

“That…makes sense, but we have to remember this is a world without quirks, something like that can’t just appear out of nowhere,” Tsukauchi stammers out, it’s possible, but highly unlikely. However, It’s an alternate universe- anything can happen really if someone puts its mind to it.

Bing!

I cannot answer that.

“WHAT!? Mutiny!!” Kaminari yells out as his questioned was denied, “That obviously means it’s true!!! It said it can’t give out spoilers!!!” He shrikes out.

“You just unironically answered my question!! Might as well just give a full fledged answer!!”

“M-Maybe it can’t answer that because it’ll take out a possible outcome. M-Maybe it counts as a spoiler to get rid of possible options for us to think about…” Midoriya stammers out, his face pale and hands shaky.

“No way! I see a plot point when I see one!! I may be dumb but I’m not stupid!!” He yells out. “Dude…umm- not to be some sort of party pooper but…you’re kinda freaking Midoriya out,” Kirishima says.

Kaminari looked towards Midoriya to find his teary-eyed and shaking, his face pale as horror took it on. Uraraka hugging him in comfort and rubbing his back. “Oh…”

“Ah man- I’m sorry Midoriya,” Kaminari apologized guilt-stricken. He didn’t mean to cause worry or fear for his friend. “No no- it’s okay, let’s just get on with this,” Midoriya says breathless. Aizawa checked him over to make sure he was alright.

“Okay.”

His mother still hasn't replied.

That was a month ago. His mother still hasn't replied back.

”Mom!” Midoriya finally bursted his tears out. He was worried for his mom in this universe, and now his worry only increased. “No!” He cried out, assuming the worst. Bakugou tensed up, glaring at the screen.

“Sweetie…I’m sure I’m alright! There’s no service right? So maybe I wasn’t able to get the message!” Inko tried reassuring, succeeding a little as her boy started calming down. His cries now only turned to small sniffles. “Okay…” he murmured out.

He's tired, he hasn't even done anything. He hasn't come outside that whole month, not even sparing a glimpse of outside. Confined in quiet, musty rooms of his home. He still has no idea what to do, he still doesn't know anything.

He's disgusting he thinks, he wasn't able to take a shower since two weeks ago, the shower spit out mud colored, unclean water. He decided not to even try the washer in case of the same instance, so he's been wearing the same thing since two weeks.

”Ew. That must suck,” Kendou grimaced, “A whole month? Talk about being a hermit,” she continued. Many people agreeing with her.

The faucet was the same, so he couldn't wash the vegetables he had which sucked. The tv could still turn on, however it would just show the static and make that buzzing noise. Every time that noise came on his gut feeling came hitting like a truck, so he decided not to turn it on at all.

His phone somewhat works, he can turn it on but nothing else. The fridge had clean drinking water which he stocked up on quickly. He had three whole jugs full of water, and he was glad he did stock up because the fridge shut down after three weeks.

”Smart,” Aizawa praised. “No Refrigeration, No network or connection, no plumbing, what’s next no electricity?” Rock Lock complained.

“Don’t manifest it, it might happen soon.” Kendou worried.

Due to the fridge shutting down, many food items rotted or were going bad so he had to throw it away. Food in his house was becoming scarce, he only had about four-five days left of food. He was nervous, rightfully so.

“He’s going to have to go out to get food soon…” Midnight spoke softly, she could see the obvious worry from Aizawa. They hated seeing their students in pain, or in fear.

“Oh! My baby!” Inko cried, worrying for her son alternate self. “Mom! It’s okay! I still have some food left- or- other me does! It’s like the erm ‘movie’ said, he has like four-five days worth!” Midoriya tried reassuring his mom.

He sighed as he finished writing in his notebook and closed it. He's decided to make this a diary and write in a new passage every day. He was thankful his phone still showed what day it was or what time.

“That’s good. Let’s just hope he finds places to charge it,” All Might sighed in relief. “Or he continues up with writing,” Mirio added. “I want to make a diary!” Eri said, smiling.

“Oh course you can!” Mirio smiled back.

Getting up from his bed, he went to the bathroom to get a look at himself. He had dark bags under his eyes, he expected that. He hadn't had a good sleep since that day, he would sometimes stay up all night waiting for his mothers text back.

His hair was wild and utterly messy. A bed head was sporting heavily on his right. His shirt was wrinkly and his face was a little pale. He sighed as he fixed his hair, it really was a damn annoyance having it this untamed.

Midoriya chuckled lightly. Yeah, it really is an annoyance to have unruly hair.

“Damn. Midoriya I have to say… you’re not looking to good.” Kaminari joked but was struck in the back of the head by Kirishima. “Ack! Bro~!” Kaminari whined as he rubbed his head.

“He may not look good, but damn does he look fine!” Mina teased, laughing as Midoriya suddenly turned cherry red and hid his face in his arms. “Those eye bags and his hair! And that annoyed look on his face! Me-ow!” She giggled as she teased him more.

“Wah! A-Ashido!” Midoriya whined as he continued hiding his face. He felt so embarrassed and shy, he just knew his face was red as a strawberry. He’s very had compliments like that, it very much startled him. “Hehe!” Mina giggled, as did a few others.

They ignored the elephant in the room.

He left the bathroom and entered the living room, making some food with whatever he had left; which wasn't very much. It was completely dark, the power went out and he only had a flashlight; which he was saving the battery of for later times.

”I told you! Don’t manifest it! He has no electricity now!” Kendou yelled out to the other pro hero. Rock Lock sighed, they all knew it was bound to happen; but he’ll let her have the childish win.

“Damn. I can’t believe I manifested it. So sorry.” He continued the banter, relieved to see the students chuckle at his joking. He made a small smile.

He made a sandwich; with tomatoes, tuna, pickles, and avocado. He didn't really like pickles but the tomatoes and tuna cancel out the flavor so it works out well.

He ate in pure silence.

He hated it. It's way to quiet, even in his hometown. The screams from a month ago stopped completely after the fourth day. Now there was no noise, just the ringing in his ears and his subtle movements.

He needs to go out to see what happen; he doesn't want to, but soon enough he's going to run out of food and even water and then what's he going to do? He only has canned food left, but he's saving those and using the food that expires first to not waste any.

His legs and arms feel weak, he's scared to go out there. Even if everything is alright, even if there's nothing wrong in the end, this feeling of unnerve in his stomach simmers against it.

”I don’t blame him. He’s essentially cornered. No matter what, it’s a losing situation. He goes outside, he- uh- gets choked up. He stays inside, he starves.” Hawks issued, using hand motions along with his words.

“He’s screwed.” “Pretty much. Unless we’re exaggerating.”

Midoriya gulped as he took in the words of the pro hero’s.

He'll have to eventually come out to get food, which is what he's debating now. As he finished eating his sandwich, he decided to make another. Not another for eating right now, but another for on the go.

He's going to go outside. Alone.

”No!” “What!?” “He’s crazy!” “This early? He’s still got some food!” “It’s logical!” “He needs to do this!” People argued, both at the screen and at others. Some thinking it’s too soon, some thinking he should’ve done it earlier.

“He definitely should’ve done it earlier.” Dabi remarked. People went silent as the villains started speaking. “I know a thing or two about survival, and one thing I know is that people are greedy. If- by some miracle, there’s people alive. Then there might not be any food left of the shelves for him.” He answered easily.

Toga nodded along. “Yeah, plus! Even if people don’t need whatever- they’d still get anything.”

“Not to agree with villains…but- they’re kinda right. All the apocalyptic movies I’ve watched, grocery stores are almost always empty or full, no in-between.” Kendou exclaimed.

“No matter what. He decided, so we’ll find out soon enough.” Aizawa sighed.

Since he already brought the tomatoes out as well as the avocado, he decided to make as many sandwiches as he could with the ingredients he had out. That way they weren't wasted.

He made three full sandwiches with his leftover food from his first one. He put them in plastic ziplocks and put them in a lunchbox container. Carefully setting them in what was originally his school backpack.

Due to everything that's happened so far, he's absolutely  NOT going out there without getting prepared for the worst. Again, he's seen too many extraterrestrial movies to know that not preparing was something only an idiot would do.

”Maybe should start watching some of those movies…” Midoriya muttered out. He’s never really watched those kinds of movies because he didn’t like horror or scary genre, seems like it somehow came to bite him in the ass. Somehow…

His backpack was packed to the brim with anything he could possibly bring. His notebooks, flashlight, canned food and the packed food of his breakfast (even the jar of pickles he opened), phone, and a pocketknife just to be on the safe side.

Next to his backpack is a little bottle of water he had, he didn't want to carry around the jugs he had so he opted for that. He obviously wouldn't carry everything valuable, just enough to keep him going and come back.

He sighed as he stroked his hair back in distress.  He really did not want to go outside, but food was running low and soon he'd need water. There was a small market nearby his home, so he's thinking to go there.

He huffed as he stood up, mentally preparing himself. If by chance everything was perfectly fine, he'd only just embarrass himself to the brink of never leaving home again. If something is happening outside, then he'd just go out for some groceries and then never come out again. Perfect.

Most people chuckled at the other Midoriya’s thinking. “Well that’s a plan if I ever saw one.” Kaminari joked, earning some cackles from his peers. “Yeah, that’s definitely something I’d think of.” Midoriya huffed in amusement. Making a smile crinkly smile.

'Should I change first?' He weighed out the options, but he opted not to change. He didn't want any clothes dirtied until this one is used all the way up. This was it, no waiting; he was going outside. He huffed, stroking his hair back before putting on his backpack and walked towards the door.

His water and food supplies was safety stored in the cabinets within the kitchen, so he didn't need to worry about that too much. He unlocked the door and opened it, the door creaked and shuttered. It hasn't been used in quite a while.

Everyone waited in bated breath, tense in their seats as they wonder what will happen.

He was hit with a bright, muddy orange color in the sky, covering up the clouds in a dark brown color. If you look closer, you could see a hint of green within the sky. No birds were present, it was quiet with the occasional random noise heard in the ears.

The road was empty, the whole neighborhood seemed to be empty. No person or even sound of one anywhere.

Random litter and trash was skidding on the road by the wind. The roads themselves looked barren and worn down. His house wasn't any better either, with the dead plants in the front yard; weeds and tall grass surrounded the front of his home. Looking like a miniature forest.

”Woah. It’s so…lifeless.” Uraraka said, taking in the scenery of the front lawn. Everyone else seemed to do the same, taking in the appearance of everything: the sky, the plants, the litter.

“It’s so quiet, and it looks like nothing is present.” Present mic stated as he continued to stare at the screen. “Hm.”

“Oh the bright side, it seems that whatever air dust thing that was making people choke previously isn’t active anymore!” Hawks examined, noting the little details that it gives him.

“That’s true, but the sky is still orange, so even if it’s not taking course, it’s still present. He has to be careful.” Aizawa said, turning to look at his actual student in the room with him. He’s jittery, and he can see his students leg bounce up and down sporadically.

“So, so far everything seems…okay- for the most part. We know Midoriya is alive, and continues staying alive. And we know Shiozaki Ibara is going to make an appearance, so that means other people have to of survived whatever this is.” Midnight said, trying to sum up everything.

“I wish I could write this down.” Tsukauchi sighed pitifully as he tried to remember what Midnight was saying. Gran Torino sighed as he patted the man’s back. “I’m sure during our dinner break, you could ask. It’ll give us time to write everything.”

“True.”

“I hope the other me will be alright…” Midoriya sighed, trying not to think about any bad outcomes. He turned to look at all his peers to see any reaction they were giving.

He could see class 1-B looking uncomfortable, obviously not wanting to see this or be here. He sees his mom and Bakugou parents, cuddling up together to reassure one another. He sees Mina, Kirishima, and Kaminari talking to his parents.

He stole a quick glance at Bakugou, noticing his deep in thought look. He wonders if Bakugou noticed something, or is trying to find any clue as to what might happen next. Other than his thoughtful look, he looked completely fine. He sighed, if Kacchan thinks everything is fine, then he’ll try calming down.

He suddenly remembered he had neighbors, two of them both he and his mother occasionally hung out with. Mr. Torino and Ms. Chiyo are the old neighbors they visit. It was a funny story on how they've met, and Ms. Chiyo always brought it up; despite his embarrassment.

Most people present suddenly gasped at the revelation. Midoriya, All Might, and Tsukauchi mainly taking the cake of the gasps. The old lads in question raised their eyebrows at their names being mentioned. They didn’t know they’d make an appearance.

“Well, now we know they’re making an appearance. I know this is suppose to be an alternate universe but it’s so- different.” Miruko stated, her brows furrowed. “Tell me about it. Not only are we living together apparently, but we’re neighbors of the fanboy.” Gran Torino groaned as he heard Midoriya squawk.

“Very interesting. It seems we’re close to Midoriya in this world.” Recovery girl said, her tone voicing her confusion and questioning nature. “Appears so.” Gran Torino stated gruffly.

He was worried about them, deeply. He hasn't seen them for a long time; despite not seeing them this month, before the incident he hadn't seen them in weeks. The last time he saw them he was running an errand for his mother when he bumped into them at the store.

He took his first steps outside, the dried out grass wrinkling beneath his feet; his footsteps booming in the quiet atmosphere. His breaths huffing swiftly as his heart pounded lightly, the ringing in his ears more louder than the noise outside. His chest constricting of low breaths, few for some reason having a strike of pain overlapping.

Everyones stomach dropped when they saw the other Midoriya having trouble breathing. They assumed the worse immediately, thinking that whatever was outside is still happening. “Shit…” Hawks murmured.

“I think he’ll be fine.” Dabi said, “when we saw everyone else choking, they immediately went down. This kids just having a few minor troubles. It should’ve already taken its course.”

“True.” Tsukauchi said, making more people calm down.

He stepped off his homes property, finally onto the sidewalk as he took a good look around. He continued his walk towards one of the houses in his neighborhood, his other neighbor. He hasn't seen or met them before.  People he comes across when walking always said the family that lived there was always confined in the house; refusing to communicate to others.

He entered their front lawn, looking at the same miniature forest that grew within his lawn. He was debating to knock on their door, he didn't know what would happen. Either way, he decided it was best to know if they were okay.

He inhaled a breath as he clenched his fist to knock, his fist pounded on the door once before the door creaked open. He froze, usually if a door was unlocked you'd have to still open it with the handle. The door was wide open this entire time. His hand was still up to knock for that second time, however now it was unneeded.

Everyone tensed. That wasn’t normal, a door completely open? Something wrong…

He pushed the door a little to open it wide, the door bristled as it revealed the dark barren home of his neighbor. He stood there, unmoving as he took it in. The home looked to be robbed, or someone looked through everything as quick as they could.

He took a few slow steps into the house, looking at anything to find even the smallest clue. Shoes were still up on the shoe rack, draws from dressers and cabinets were cracked or wide open. Hallways were dark and the air seemed damp and unsettling. His feeling of something wrong hit him heavily the second he entered the hallway towards the kitchen.

The kitchen looked destroyed, a broken light bulb shattered along the island counter. The fridge open halfway, showing it unlit and empty inside. The stove was dented in, one of the stovetops were on, but no fire came to light it. The sink was turned the other way, as if it was hit.

”There’s obvious signs of an intruder entering the house and attacking someone. It seems like someone was about to make something when they just got attacked.” Tsukauchi noted. The pro hero’s nodding along.

“Now that begs the question of who? it looks like this place hasn’t been occupied in that month period.” Endeavor stated. “Or better yet. There’s no blood. What happened to the people? Their bodies?” Rock Lock mentioned.

“I didn’t even notice how there’s no blood. It’s so weird.” Midnight said. The others nodding along. “We’ll have to keep track of anything.”

On his left, the living room had the tv on, it was cracked and had the same static showing; however there was no noise to alert it. The couch was ripped and slashed, like a wild animal clawed at it. The chairs were filled onto their sides and the chipped table was leaning heavily on three pegs. It looked like something was thrown onto it.

”Jesus…what the hell could’ve done that?” Hawks said, appalled at what he’s seeing. Others also seemed shocked at the amount of damage done. “Looks like a bear just went ballistic.” Miruko stated bluntly. “Looks like a fucking raccoon just made the couch its new chew toy.” Gran Torino said heartedly.

A few people chuckled at that.

On his left as well that was closest to the hallway he was in, was a staircase. It was dark, the lamp above not providing any light. The staircase seemed to take a right to get upstairs as he couldn't see the end of them, just a wall. It was eerie, creepy, and his shallow breaths indicated that.

What made his heart drop however, was the fact that the lamp was moving.

“Shit!” “Oh hell no!” “He needs to get out of there!” Yelling could be heard throughout the room. Midoriya’s heart pummeled, as did many students and his teachers.

It was moving so subtly that he almost missed it, but there it was; swaying back and fourth from the side of the stairs he can't see. He can slightly hear the creaking of the metal. His breaths became quieter.

Someone was in here, either recently or now.

He didn't see anyone downstairs with him, so they had to be upstairs. He didn't move, he was frozen in place as he watched as the lamp slow down every time it swayed in the damp air. His heart pounding louder as time continued, his stomach queasy as he dreaded for something coming down the stairs.

Then he heard it. A creak of wood bristling above him.  Right, above him. The dust from the roof of downstairs falling onto him as his heart pounded as hard as it's ever been. The blood rushing through his body as he ears flushed the sound. The eerie feeling he had that made his stomach queasy came full force.

Someone was above him. Something, was upstairs.

“Shit…” someone murmured, but was quickly shushed as everyone waited in tense, bated breaths.

The loud boom of something upstairs made him bolt straight out the door, into the open air of outside. He huffed as he ran onto the sidewalk. He felt dread wash over his entire body, like cold water splashed into the inside of his skin and tickled it. His first and last time ever going to his other neighbors house.

”I’m telling you! Someone fishy is going on! Zombies! I’m calling it right now!” Kaminari shrieked out, jabbing his finger towards the screen repeatedly. “Dude! We get it!” Kirishima bawked, swiping his hand away.

Midoriya laughed nervously, wiping his hands along his pants in a nervous habit. “You fine nerd,” he heard Bakugou huff out to him. “Wha- huh?” He turned to look at him.

“You’re fucking fine, take it or leave it.” The boy huffed and turned back towards the screen. “It’s obvious you’re going to be alive despite all of this shit. So quite doing that! You’re pissing me off.” He snarked.

“O-Okay Kacchan…” despite that rude gesture of communication, he felt relaxed after hearing that. Perhaps he needed some Kacchan motivation of rude snarky wordings.

He jogged towards his old neighbors home, dreading for the same outcome. Their home was simple, a one story cottage. Their home was different then theirs due to them being great friends with the land owner. He wished they were okay.

He walked up to the door to his friends home, knocking once before waiting. The door didn't open as the last house so he got the slightest bit of hope. He waited, waited for even the slightest sound they were okay, or that they'd open the door. There was nothing however.

He decided to try opening the door, if they were alright he'd knew they would lock the door always. However when he twisted the handle to the door, it opened. The door was unlocked and that was terrifying. The door laughed loudly as it came to a stop.

It was the same as the last house, dark and barren.  Something was different however, everything was perfectly fine and in place as he last seen. Nothing was out of the ordinary, which he thinks makes this even worse.

”This is eerie.” All might said in a nervous tone, worry for his mentor and friend obvious in his tone and expression. “Indeed it is.” Nedzu responded to him, patting his paw on the side of his leg as a small gesture of comfort.

"Miss Chiyo?" He questioned into the air as he stepped inside. It was deadly quiet, apart from the wretched screeching of his steps on the old wood floors. "Mister Torino sir?" He called out their names, he flinched when he heard something in the kitchen.

”What the absolute fuck was that.” Dabi deadpanned, though his expression said otherwise with the sheer appalled look. Many others were startled too with hearing the noise.

“AHH!!!! I’m telling you!! Zombies! Z-O-M-B-I-E!” Kaminari yelled out, getting more invested in the claim. Midoriya shivered, Uraraka patting his arm as another wave of comfort. She too, was worried for her friend, but she knew he needed the comfort more than anyone else.

He was scared out of his mind. He knows he should run out after hearing another noise like he did the last house.  He didn't, these are his friends and he felt the need to find out what happened. Perhaps they were on vacation and forgot to ask someone to take care of their home.

”Ah yes. Denial. They definitely went to the Bahamas for a vaca’. They forgot to tell you to feed their cat whiskers.” Compress joked, making few people laugh. “They sent a postcard in the mail.” He continued, getting some people to cackle.

He was feeling a little giddy at being able to provide some positivity during an intense situation.

Maybe they died, he hoped not. They were old but healthy enough for him to know they were fine. When he was lost in his thoughts, he flinched again when he heard a groan. One of emptiness, no conviction in the noise. He gulped as he took some steps into the living room. Away from the kitchen.

”Bro…” kirishima warned, side-eyeing the electric blond who contemplated yelling out the ‘Z word’ again. “Nah, I’m good man, it’s obviously obvious that it’s zombies.” Kaminari told him. “Enough evidence is provided for me.” He added.

“Yeah we can tell because holy shit is it totally zombies.” Mina continued on, the 1-B students who sat with them nodded along. “Yeah, there’s no denying it now. I wonder if the question box will still deny it?” Kendou questioned. Kaminari shrugged.

He took one step onto the carpet when he heard a squelch of wetness. He looked down to see a dark substance that he stepped in, he squinted to get a better look. His body chilled as his spine shivered, his heart stopping.

Blood. Fresh dark red blood was what he stepped in.

… The entire room felt chills, as their hearts sank deep into their chest; like a gaping hole was carved out. It really was zombies, and it took Midoriya stepping in fresh blood to have them really settle in the fact.

All might and Tsukauchi both were pale, the blonde had an grimace and the brunette had his hand covering his mouth. Gran Torino and Recovery girl grimaced.

‘No’ Midoriya whispered breathlessly, he to, was also white as a sheet and teary eyed. Uraraka held his hand to try and give any comfort, though failing as Midoriya just continued to look at the screen.

He felt particularly close with the both of them, both Gran Torino and Recovery girl know his greatest secret, one has trained him, and one has healed him. Both give equal amount of care to him, and they held a nice place in his heart. Knowing this Midoriya had been closer personally…

He felt awful.

”Uhh…” Mirio said, gaining the attention of some people from his row, as well as a few others. “Should she be watching this?” Mirio then pointed down to see Eri, sitting on his lap looking curiously at everything and everyone. The pros had no idea she was even here.

“Has she been here since the start?” Hawks asked. Mirio nodded, “yes, she was asleep, she woke up like a couple minutes ago. We share a seat.” He explained, watching Eri wave at Aizawa, who waved back reluctantly.

“Does she have anything with her?” All Might asked, to which Mirio shook his head. “Maybe ask the question box to get some noise canceling headphones, you could just turn her around during bad scenes. Or just not let her watch anything.” Rock-Lock replied.

“Mn. Question box.” Mirio spoke out into the air, the box appeared. “Can I get noise-cancelling headphones, for Eri.” He asked. Instead of words popping up on the screen, a pair of earmuffs appeared out of this air.

“Ah…umm- thank you!” Mirio said happily, turning Eri around to have her face him. “Eri, I’m going to put these noise-cancelling earmuffs on you okay?” Mirio asked, and Eri replied happily. “Okay! I love those!” She smiled.

After setting the earmuffs on her head, he gave a thumbs up to the other people in the room, to which they all became quiet apart from one question leaving a persons mouth. “So who died?”

That question was left unanswered.

'What the fuck.’ He muttered under his breath quietly as he walked around the puddle of blood.

”That’s a lot of blood.” Hawks murmured.

”MIDORIYA!?” The students yelled and turned to stare at the Midoriya sitting down. They have never heard Midoriya swear before, it was kinda weird. The Midoriya sitting beside them had his face covered with his arms and a huge blush evident. “Guys! That’s not me! I don’t swear!” He stammered out.

It didn't end there, the blood led from the middle of the living room into the kitchen; where the weird groaning noises were. He played out his options, he could run away, or he could go see what's in there. The groaning became more quieter, the voice seemed to be a lady's voice, at least the pitch in it seemed to be that way.

”If it really is zombies like Kaminari claimed, I must have become a zombie. Meaning that blood must be from-“ “from me.” Gran Torino finished Recovery girls statement. “We both died.” He continued. Making their friends turn pale, two teary eyed, and one closing his eyes and looking upwards. “I hope that you two in this universe find peace in the afterlife.” Nedzu stated calmly.

“Mn. Thanks.”

He decided to take a quick peak inside then book it to the convenience store nearby. He carefully stepped towards the noise ridden kitchen, preparing for the worst; which was rightfully so as the minute he stepped inside. He understood where the blood came from.

'Oh my god.’ he huffed as he looked at Mr. Torino, who was bleeding out from the neck on the kitchen floor. His face driven from life as blood gushed from multiple extreme wounds. A wooden palette once clenched in his grip was painted in different shades of red.

“OH SHIT!” “What the fuck!” “NO!” “Gran Torino!” “Rest in peace.” “That’s Terrifying!” “AH!” Yelling and screaming could be heard from many people, Midoriya was covering his mouth as his friends came to his aid, trying and failing to calm him down. All Might was closing his eyes tight, trying to not get the image stuck in his head.

“Fuck! The kids should not be watching this! Look the other way!” Rock-Lock yelled out sternly, using his dad voice that made most of the students turn around to look at the wall behind them. The teachers making sure the rest of them turned away as well, and trying to calm them down.

“Whomever you are- why are you showing us this. There is children present, this could be very damaging to their mentality and psych. Nedzu affirmed, an unapologetic look deranged his face. Making his annoyance obvious.

“I don’t think they’ll answer you.” All might whispered. Nedzu hummed in response.

He kneeled down beside Torino, panicking as he grabbed his hand to feel his pulse. Nothing. He checked the mans neck, which he noticed had a huge hole ripped into its collar. Which explained the blood from his neck. No pulse was found. The man was dead.

”Fucking disgusting.” Dabi appointed, staring at the chunk of a bite mark that’s on the screen. A few pro hero’s gagged, and the students weren’t looking, as the adults made sure to have them look away.

'Wheres misses Chiyo?' He thought as tears were building up in his eyes slowly. His hands were covered in blood so he couldn't stoke his hair back. He needed to get help immediately, he quickly got back up and ran out the house to find someone's help.

He didn't hear the loud groaning and footsteps behind him pick up in the kitchen when he ran out, the fear and stress clouding his body as his insides pounded in his ears loud enough for anyone to here. He ran out into the middle of the road.

"Someone! Help! I need medical assistance urgently!" He yelled out into the heavy air. His breaths coming in loud but short huffs as he kept running in the road. He saw some cars either abandoned in the middle of the road, or crashed on the sidewalk. He didn't care, he just needed help.

"Anyone please!" He continued to yell, finally becoming short of breath as he stopped. He was a little way to the convenience store now, and he hasn't seen anyone other than Torino. It was as unnerving as being the only one home for the first time.

”Shit! He’s driving attention to himself! He can die!” Endeavor spoke loudly, if he had his flames, they would’ve grown brighter and the heat would’ve radiated off of his skin. The students were finally able to look back now that the teachers deemed it safe.

Now he really needs to go to the convenience store; not only for food and water, but for medical supplies and medicine. He decided walking was too slow for his predicament so he jogged, he hoped to make it on time.

"What the hell happened when I was gone." He shocked to himself as he stared at the convenience store. It was completely destroyed, the windows were shattered and chunks of glass was everywhere. The door was ripped off its hinges and thrown on the floor inside the building. The gas pump that was near the building was blown up, a small fire still simmering on the ground around it.

”Gawd damn. That buildings destroyed.” Kaminari mentioned, his jaw dropped as he stared at the screen. “Yeah…” Mina added on.

During his jog there, nobody was anywhere. He found a rat scurrying along the road as well as some pigeons but that was it. His footsteps were all he heard apart from the occasional tweet from a bird; which he was thankful for.

”So animals still are living, without complications so far…so that’ll be easier for him. Food wise.”

Many teachers and hero’s gulp in nervousness as they heard Nedzu of all people (animals?) speak about eating other animals.

He wasn't expecting this when he got there. It was like a riot was taken place here. 'What did they riot for, lottery tickets?, he thought to himself as he huffed in concerned astounding. ‘I better not be in a last man on earth type of ordeal', he thought as he stepped inside.

”Oh he has no idea…” Mina grimaced as it shared the other Deku’s thoughts. “Funny how he thinks this is from lottery tickets.” Midnight quietly giggled. “Oh please, you have no idea what it’s like during lottery season.” Hawks murmured.

Miruko hit him on the back of his head. Come on Hawks…you’re suppose to be a role model.

It looked as bad as the outside as it did inside. The shelves were completely wrecked, garbage was everywhere on the floors. A shelf was even knocked into the back wall of the store. The coolers were open and shut off. The back door was open due to some boxes that cluttered the doorway.

Most of the shelves were empty, no food was present which sucked as that was the main reason he came here. He found some bottled waters in the very back of the coolers, which he grabbed. As he was looking for medicine, he came across the front counter.

”Smart to stock up on what he can find. Despite most of the place being swept out. Better than nothing.” Miruko critiqued, a stoic expression on her face as she watched.

“Good to find some waters at least.” Midnight sighed.

It was smeared in dried blood, a puddle of blood behind where the cashier should've been, and isn't that concerning as there's no sign of a person nearby. Behind the counter was the medicine, which he took a few bottles. He also took some bandages and rubbing alcohol, anything useful he suppose.

”Oh thank god! He took medicine!” Rock Lock sighed in relief, along with the other hero’s. For some reason, people forgot medicine when in emergencies, most hero’s dealt with situations like those many times. It never fails to frustrate them.

Aizawa hummed as he nodded, appraisingly. “Good thing he grabbed rubbing alcohol as well, it’s more useful than people think.”

He needed food however, badly. Nobody was present anywhere near his neighborhood, so perhaps he needed to go somewhere more packed? There's a mall nearby and nobody could possibly clear the whole mall so there had to be food there.

”Aren’t malls like- packed? I feel like that’s a bad idea..” Uraraka conveyed. Her classmates nodded along, worry became evident in their expressions. They were worried for the other Midoriya.

He set out a new course, he was going to the mall. He didn't have a vehicle of any sort, so he had to jog there. Which was fine, maybe he would find people and get the assistance he needed for Torino. He hoped he'd find anyone, even if they were somewhat alive.

He walked into the back room, seeing if anything was good back there. He didn't find anything useful, he did find a sink filled with water however which he was eternally thankful for. His hands still had blood on them so he quickly washed his hands. The foggy water turning a mundane maroon as he dried his hands on a nearby washcloth.

Midoriya shivered a little, he completely forgot the other him had blood on his hands. He grimaced.

Once his hands were clean, he stroked his hair back multiple times. "Okay. To the mall. What's the quickest way to the mall?" He huffed to himself as he contemplated on the quickest route there. He supposed he could just take the road to it.

Alright, he's got this. He'll jog to the mall using the roads way towards it. Hopefully some people will be there. He stuffed everything he got into his backpack before he started walking outside of the store and down the road.

~

The more he went down the roads, the more dread he felt. Death. All he smelt was death and an air that stung in his nose. Dead bodies were laying everywhere the minute he left his neighborhood. On the road, sidewalk, even the dirt paths had blood or bodies. It was an undead bloodbath, everywhere he went.

Everyone watched as Midoriya went down the roads. Pits dropped within a multitude of stomachs, dreading for what’s to come.

He felt so so scared, disturbed and horrified at everything he was witnessing. The smell of rotting corpses only just a few inches away at all times. He was sweating as what he might think was the sun shining above. Buildings were utterly destroyed, houses were empty as the opened doors implied.

The roads were horrible, cars were flipped on its side; one he saw was flipped upside down. Car crashes were obvious despite nobody present. Some cars had a small fires or fires that eloped the whole car. Stoplights were turned off or some appeared to have fallen off onto the road floor.

When he got the to malls' parking lot, it was even more horrible and terrifying. Bodies upon bodies of people were just laying on the lot. Women, men, he even saw children that were bloody and lifeless everywhere. He nearly threw up at the sight. His heart stammering against his chest, he didn't think he'd unsee this.

Cars were chaos everywhere. Flipped over, burning, a few cars looked to run over others. Another car drove straight into the wall of the malls' entrance. Which he needed to get into. He heard a few groans coming from the big piles of bodies when he walked past. He wished he could help, but he knew someone who's leg and haft their arm getting cut off wasn't going to live long.

”Fuck.” Rock-Lock said, completely astonished in a terrible way. Death for this world was on every corner, literally and metaphorically. The students were terrified, eyes wide and lips trembling. Some held each others hands for comfort, and some looked sick.

Midoriya felt terrible for his other self, seeing this on a screen was probably less traumatizing than seeing it with your own eyes, in real life. Because to this other Midoriya, this was his life. Surrounded by death and suffering.

He’s glad that wasn’t his life.

“This will definitely affect him trauma wise…” Recovery girl stated grimly. Nedzu nodded along, “why do you think this entity is showing us this? Is this close to happening in our world?” All Might asks.

“Even if that’s the case, we can’t exactly do much considering we’re a hero School. We have power, but not that much.” Nedzu stated firmly.

“They wouldn’t let the school check, but maybe if the police get a warrant…” Tsukauchi muttered, scratching his neck. Nedzu shook his head.

“Even so. They’d need a reason, we can’t exactly say that an entity showed us an alternate universe can we?” Nedzu replied, a little smile warped on his face.

“You’re right.”

“I know.”

The league just silently contemplated. Their world was never like this, not even when all for one ruled the underground all those years back. Seeing it play out, piles of bodies filling the streets…

It was disgusting, for the most part. Vile, putrid, for something like this to happen gave chills through their bodies. Would this happen if they really ‘changed the world’?

They didn’t know what to think of that.

He stopped when he was near the car that blocked his way of entering. The door to the drivers seat was open, and blood was all over the seat and door. He saw the other side of the car had an open way to get in. All he needed to do was climb through the car to get in.

He stoked his hair back as he got in, quickly and carefully climbing to the passenger seat and opening the car door. The rustling of his clothes and backpack filled the noise as the car weeped under the walls build.

It was completely dark, only the rays of sunlight from the roof windows presenting a beautifully eerie lighting. Once he got out of the car he crouched down to get out his flashlight. He was glad he brought it with him.

After digging through his backpack, he quickly turned on his flashlight with a 'click' and put on his backpack to continue his search. The entrance was completely sealed by the cars destruction. Making the entryway pitch black, the air was filled with dust of the building.

”Oh my god that’s so terrifying.” Mina appalled, jaw dropped as it showed the car haft-way in the building. “Yeah, that’s like- abandoned building teens being stupid thing.” Kaminari stated, a little worried for his friend on the screen.

“I hope the on-you screen is careful…that looks very unsafe and unstable.” Inko fretted like a mother hen. Midoriya just smiled meekly, looking over the seats to get a view of his mother.

“I’m sure I’m fine mom.”

“I know you are baby, I just can’t help but worry.”

The flashlight was bright enough to see quite far and wide. The suns light making it easier to see even if it was just a little. The mall for some reason was loudly quiet, he heard creaks and the dribbles of water flowing. Gurgles and groans were heard echoing inside, yet it was still as silent as his neighborhood.

“Shit, they’re inside the mall too?” Mitsuki voiced, gripping the armrest of the chair she was sitting on. “Makes sense, after all it is a mall he’s walking in. Malls are usually packed full of people.” Hawks noted.

“Mn.”

He took a good look around, captivated by its scary beauty. The nature practically took over the mall, moss growing and vines coming down from the windows. The color of the place faded as the stores looked to be broken into. Glass shards were everywhere near the stores, and this once packed mall looked abandoned.

”Wow…it is really beautiful.” Inko awed, getting some nods in agreement. “Nature works like that.” Nedzu smiles.

“Hey wait! That’s the mall we went to as a class remember! The one where Midoriya was held hostage!” Kirishima mentioned. A few students were shocked at the resemblance. “You’re right…”

There's a few shops he would like to take a peak in, the food places his first hit. He silently moved along, shining his flashlight at anything and everything. His footsteps echoed and bounced short along the walls. The groans he heard becoming louder while some became more silent. He still had no idea what those noises were.

”Zombies.” The class murmured.

He quickly found a nice burger joint. The colors of the place faded, it's counter top was littered with dirt and scum. No food items seemed to be present, he huffed a breath through his nose as he fluffed his hair back.

He carefully climbed over the counter, his feet clinging to the floor once he got over. He looked around as he slowly walked towards the back; his flashlight steady in his hands as he opened the door.

He found some frozen tater tot packages, which he was thankful for. It seemed nobody looted the mall so far which he was glad about. Although, he wasn't impressed by a burger joint using microwaveable packaging for restock. 'What a great way to beat the system. Premade food.', he though, snaring at the package as he put them in his backpack.

”That’s good. The mall seems to be up for grabs. As long as nothing is moldy it can be used.” Endeavor sighed. “He might not be able to use any frozen goods…he should probably focus more on canned foods.” Hawks said.

“Also what’s with this sarcasm? Doesn’t like burger joints?” Hawks joked, getting a snark from Miruko. “Oh please. He’s probably prefers meals over fast.”

”Deku…you do know that all fast food places have premade frozen meats right..?” Uraraka stammered, giving him a questioning gaze.

He flushed, throughly embarrassed. “Yes Uraraka. I know. Not sure why he doesn’t.” “Cause you’re book smart not street smart.”

“What does that have to do with being street smart Kacchan?”

“…”

He found some frozen patties which he also grabbed, safety storing them away in his backpack. He probably needs to get a better one if he was going to carry more stuff, a school backpack does not carry as much as he thought.

He sighed as he got back up to go over the counter again, and to set off to look for more. The echos of groans growing louder as he moved further away from the entrance. He was nervous, sometimes he'd hear a creak of metal or wooden snapping. He heard a loud bang further into the mall.

”That’s so creepy…and he still doesn’t even know what those gurgling noises are.” Uraraka sheepishly muttered, a grimace painting her face.

“What are those other noises though? That’s probably not zombies making that banging noise…” Kirishima questioned, earning a shrug from his friends.

He entered a shoe store, some shoes appeared to be stolen. Some were dirty, some looked chewed up by a dog; some looked completely clean with the exception of dust. He was debating to take a pair of shoes, but he decided not to; he still had his own pair of shoes that needed to be worn out.

”No! No no no! Take the damn shoes! That’s so important you have no idea!” Hawks shrieked, feathers fluffing up and shoulders tense. Other hero’s joined in on the complaining.

“He’s definitely going to regret that…” Aizawa sighed, clutching his support tool wrapped around his neck. He made a quick glance at his Midoriya to check if he was okay.

For the most part, he looked alright…he was tense and holding Uraraka’s hand tightly, he definitely had some nerves but was holding up for the most part.

He did look sheepish when the hero’s complained about shoes, he huffed.

The next store he found himself in was a small dainty cafe, it looked the same as anything with walls he's seen so far. Barren, faded, dust clouding the air. The red couch seats stained with drinkable substance, and tables matted with stains and tableware. The counter looking the most empty.

The chalk menu on the top was faded out, barely legible, only able to make out a few words. A few menu items surprisingly were still on display, however almost all of them were rotten, or probably stale as a brick.

He sighed as he tried looking at the menu again, there was probably no point in checking the back, as from what he's implied. The café only had breaded items or need to make foods, which he didn't have the luxury of.

”Damn…that sucks. I couldn’t imagine life without breads.” Kendou noted, nodding solemnly at this Midoriya’s loss.

“I’d think he should still check. Cafés usually have bottled drinks that he could grab, but of course I understand not checking. It’d waste time.” Miruko stated. The students nodding their heads along.

He flinched harshly and turned around quickly when he heard something fall onto the ground. It was heard to be on the second story of the mall, the same floor as him. It was behind him on the other side.

Everyone tensed.

And there he saw it.

A person. An actual person who was as still as he was. They looked at each other, silent and not moving. The person was dressed in full black attire, apart from their dirty orange jacket, a black gas mask fitted to cover their mouth. A black helmet settled in to cover the rest of the persons face.

They had a huge camping backpack, and something in their hand he can't quite see. He felt the man boring eyes into him, the wrench that the person dropped on the floor laid there. Neither seemed to know what to do.

“Holy shit!” “It’s another person!” “I can’t believe it, an alive person!”

Mostly everyone was shocked at another person finally meeting this Midoriya. Aizawa chuffed as he looked at his students, “Don’t you remember that Ibara was mentioned to be in this? Of course other people would be alive.”

Many people; students, hero’s, and villains alike ‘oh’d’ as if the knowledge bonked them on the head just then. Aizawa just sighed, disappointed. All that work to ask the questions to just have most people forget the answers to them.

Idiots…

Everyone is still wondering who this mysterious person could be.

Just as he was about to call out to them. The person booked it into the door leading to the back of the mall, where maintenance or security goes to. His eyes widened as he ran to catch up to them.

"Hey! Wait!" He called out, he heard the groans from within the mall go louder when he yelled. His voice echoing throughout the mall. He quickly picked up the wrench the person dropped before slamming through the doors and running.

"Come back! Please!" He cried out, the person was so much quicker than him. They entered another doorway, disappearing out of his sight before he slammed through the same doors. He found nothing, the person ran and got away.

“Damn it.” Present Mic muttered, fists clenching. The person left, although he can’t blame them, it technically was still his student being shown in need of help. He couldn’t help but feel offended on Midoriya’s part.

He huffed short breaths as he's never ran faster in his life. His first time since going outside had he seen a well and not dead person, and they ran away from him. 'Maybe I don't do well with people in general.' he thought.

”Nah, you use to be bad with people, but now you’re a natural! It’s probably just that persons problem.” Uraraka tried cheering him up, despite the hint of insult and that it wasn’t their worlds Midoriya that said that.

“Erm…thanks.” Midoriya said breathily, a little embarrassed that his friend had outright admit that he was horrible socially wise.

He heard groaning from behind one of the racks of extra store items. He sighed in relief as the person had not run away, but was merely scared. He didn't mean to be scary; he didn't think he was scary but there was no way of knowing what the person found scary.

Oh.

Oh no.

They knew exactly what those groaning noises were coming from. It wasn’t from the person, but the zombies that they’ve been conspiring about.

And the other Midoriya was heading straight towards one.

"Im..sorry if I did something." He started out with, he heard the groaning get louder as he heard jagged footsteps. He thought that was weird but perhaps he pushed the person a little far. "I just, I don't know what's going on. Everything's scary and seeing someone made me very relieved." He released.

The groaning turned to become a weird screeching noise, a chittering clashing with it. He thought that was very odd. His stomach became queasy again, the sense of dread washed over him slightly. He slowly stepped forward, careful to be wary.

They tensed as they saw the other Midoriya walk towards the danger.

Aizawa just muttered about having no self-preservation. Midoriya just chuckled nervously.

"Hello..?" He hesitantly questioned. The groaned screeches becoming into full on yells of cries as the person knocked him to the ground. He yelped as he hit the floor, using his arms to try pushing the other off of him.

"Arg!" He grunted as the body of somebody continued to fight. The screeches were like high pitched hisses of anger. The screaming made his ears feel like bleeding. He looked up to see his offender and his blood ran cold.

A dead man. That's what he's seeing. A dead man.

The man's face was rotten, green and moldy as it's lower jaw was barely on it's face. It's eyes lifeless as it stared at him. The brown scruff of hair holding on as much as it can. It's body wasn't any better. It's construction vest was shown this was once a construction worker.

The pros and villains grimaced while the students faces’ turned a slight green hue. Their stomachs were rolling as they watched their friend get attacked by a zombie.

“Holy shit that’s disturbing…” Kaminari said, slightly airy as he took in the situation. The other students turned towards the green-haired boy sitting in his seat. They saw how his face matched his hair by slight difference.

Uraraka held Midoriya’s hand tighter, trying to give support and offer a distraction. Her leg bounced in stress. Another green-haired person in the crowd was also not fairing so well.

“MY BABY!” Inko cried out, bursting into tears and hiding her face in her hands. Midoriya quickly tried to reassure her, while Mitsuki grabbed a handkerchief and wiped the woman’s eyes.

“Mom! It’s alright! I’m sure I’ll be alright!” He tried assuring. After he got his mother to calm down a bit he finally sighed and calmed down.

"Ah!" He yelled out, his hands finding way to push the dead man's face away from his. The dead man seemed to want to bite him, judging from the way he's trying to bite his arms right now. He can't get him off of him. He's pushing as much as he can, soon he won't be able to-

A sudden lift of dead weight was off of him as the dead man's body was flung a few meters away. He huffed in relief as he tried sitting up a little on the floor. He looked up to see the person he saw before above him. His leg hung out in the air after he kicked the man off.

”Oh thank god.” Midnight sighed in relief, as did Mitsuki and Inko. The hero’s felt a little relived to see the person came back to help. The students were…thinking about other things.

“Damn that guy is cool!” Kaminari and Kirishima said at the same time. “He’s got moves better than most of you.” Monoma said, after being silently observing for the majority of the time.

Kaminari made a blank face as he turned towards Monoma. “Dude, I forgot you were even here…” he deadpanned as Monoma became red in the face.

“Definitely manly.” Testutestu mentioned, then turning to his workout Buddy a few seats next to him. Kirishima and him made eye contact and smiled in fondness. Manly.

“Forget manly! He’s hot!” Mina giggled, “Did you see the way he kicked the zombie off of Midoriya. He’s definitely the mysterious masked character in every otome game ever!” She squealed.

“That’s not an appropriate way to address someone that you don’t know Mina.” Iida reprimanded, chopping the air a little.

“Party pooper…”

“I heard that.”

The person lifted the thing in his hand, which he now saw was a gun; and stalked towards the the kicked away person before aiming the gun at its head. "Wai-" he tried halting, until he flinched at the ringing of his ears after hearing the gun go off.

”That’s going to be traumatizing for him…” Rocklock muttered angrily. All Might was worried for the other Midoriya, he’s not sure what relationship he had with this Midoriya; but right now, with this other Midoriya witnessing someone shooting another. He’s not sure what to do.

Some people jumped at the loud booming noise of the gun going off, some shrieked (Mina) and some just grimaced.

“May that person rest in peace,” Nedzu calmly stated.

He suddenly was staring at an unmoving body, as the person reloaded their gun and turned to him. He flinched a little away from the person, terrified out of his mind. His breaths becoming short as he continued staring. He didn't know what to think.

"You- You just-" he tried to talk, failing as he stuttered out words. He pointed towards the body. Dark red coming out of it. His hands were shaking, his eyes wide in terror; his throat clogged as his chest constricted. His other hand clenched at the wrench he took with him.

”He must’ve been so terrified, poor thing…” Mitsuki said, a gentle frown edging on her face. “I can never imagine.”

The hero’s grimaced, on the rare occasion they’d see something on that horror during their shifts or even stake-outs. How harsh to show hero’s in training the events of a world even curler than theirs.

The man looked towards his other hand, seeing him clench at the wrench. He stalked forward, and Midoriya flinched back slightly; moving away from the person. The person yanked the wrench out of his grip, making his arm hurt slightly.

“Damn, what an asshole,” Hawks said before getting another slap on the head.

“Seriously? He could’ve just asked?” Kendou bawked, appalled at the rudeness despite being classmates and babysitter of Monoma.

“Well, in this case I don’t blame him. It must’ve been important for his survival,” Todoroki muttered, gaining nods of understanding.

“Besides, he probably was worried that Midoriya would steal it,” Kaminari stated, getting a gasp from said freckled boy.

“Wha-!? I wouldn’t!”

“I know dude! But the other guy doesn’t!” Kaminari whined.

"I- I was just returning this to you." He stammered. The person looked down at the wrench in their hands, then tossed down their bag to scramble for something.

Midoriya decided enough sitting, and got up to look at the person whom was shot.

The person still had that lifeless vision in it's eyes. The bullet that made it's way into it's head was gushing out black and green flesh. Disgusting. The skin was still green and rotted, yet blood was present. He wanted to throw up at the sight.

”Fucking disgusting…” Endeavor murmured, almost hissing at the sight like a cat. The students muttered out a few words and one pretended to barf.

While he continued to look and take in the character. The person finally found what they've been looking for and went to a table beside them to do something. Midoriya just noticed to movement when he decided to look away.

”What’s he doing?” Mina asked, a bit confused as she stared at the screen.

“I’m not sure, maybe he’s putting away the wrench?” Kirishima said, more a question than an answer.

“But he already put his wrench away..? Is he looking for something in his bag?” She asked again, “oh! Do you think he’s getting more ammo? To reload?”

“Why would he waste the extra bullets in the mag it already has in? He’s only used one bullet,” Tsukauchi counter-argued.

“Maybe he’s looking for matches, to burn the body? Maybe they release toxins when actually dead,” Dabi questioned, making everyone sweat-drop.

“Highly unlikely, otherwise they would be in his pocket where it’s easily accessible. Maybe he’s just finding something for Midoriya?” Tsukauchi said.

“Oh! Maybe it’s-“

“Why don’t we actually watch it pan out so we know?” Aizawa huffed, throughly annoyed.

The students did a breathless laugh.

‘Thank god someone shut those brats up, he’s so cool.’ Shigaraki thought as he watched the scene unfold.

"Why- Why did you do that? Like I know he attacked me but you didn't have to...you know. Shoot him." The more he talked, the less the person tuned in. They were ignoring him on purpose of doing something.

”And now he’s ignoring him- man this guy sucks!” Mina rattled, feeling offended for her friend.

“I mean…I wouldn’t want to answer a question like that knowing the answer,” Midoriya grimaced, watching his gullible version question something that’s becoming inherently obvious.

He looked at what the person was doing. They were writing on paper, they were writing a lot. The persons body language seemed irritated yet relieved. Once the person finished their writing, they turned to Midoriya. They started doing weird hand signals and motions, he was so confused.

"Wha- I- urm. I don't know what you're doing." He grimaced as the person huffed and took the piece of paper in their hands. The person held it up for him to grab, which he did.

“Hold on wait- is he doing sign language!? Hold up! Replay that!” Hawks sat up, shocked as he saw what appeared to be sign language. The hero’s stammered as they tried finding a way to rewind.

“I don’t think we can rewind Hawks, what did you see?” Tsukauchi exclaimed, relieved to get some info.

“I-I don’t know, it happened pretty fast It barely clicked to me it was sign language,” Hawks stammered, still shocked.

“Could you get some clues on what he said?” Miruko said sternly. Hawks nodded, “yeah, I think it was something about understanding him, maybe he was testing Midoriya on sign language,” he said, recovering from the surprise.

“That would make sense…he must be either deaf or mute if he’s doing this, unless it’s a survival thing to minimize sound but that’s quite unlikely as he’s not once spoke even a sound,” Tsukauchi analyzed.

“That’s quite dangerous, it’ll be hard for them to communicate,” Midnight sighed as she stared at her students who shimmied in their seats.

“We should probably learn sign language if we want to communicate with people as hero’s, just as there’s a majority of quirks, there’s a majority of disabilities we should accommodate,” Uraraka mentioned, the other students nodding their heads.

“I feel quite stupid, wanting to have a doctor profession yet can’t understand sign language…” Midoriya winced, scratching the back of his neck.

“I’ll try getting a unit or two in for sign language, don’t worry little listeners! It might not be much, but it’ll be something!” Present mic said cheerfully as he gave a thumbs up.

The students looked excited, bright smiles on their faces. Class 1-B students looked a little confused.

“Wait Sensei, you know sign language?” Kendou questioned, tilting her head in confusion.

“Yes Kendou I do! Why?”

“Why didn’t you help translating with Hawks?” Aizawa but in.

“I…”

“Huh.”

Are you a Fucking idiot you could've died. Why the hell are you asking me why I shot it. Look I cant talk. so Im writing this to you so you have some common sense of whats happening. Radiation basically turned Japan into a living zombie apocalypse, people died and became undead terrors and if you get bit by one you'll turn into one of them. You inhale too much radiation, you'll turn.

“So he is mute…” Tsukauchi murmured, as All Might looked at him exasperated, “My friend, there is a bigger picture at front,” All Might sighed.

“Hmm, so radiation huh? Seems like this is radiation poisoning along with another influence, though we don’t know for sure…” Nedzu lamented, his monotone voice perpetrating the air.

“So radiation, that checks out. An explosion, so a radiation plant must’ve exploded,” Endeavor examined, brows furrowed.

“But then what about the biting? He mentioned if you get bit you turn? What does that have to do with anything?” Rocklock argued, lips pursed as he thought of the possibilities.

“Well, radiation entering the lungs causes the poisoning right, that could also affect the heart and blood, it would seem this radiation enters the lungs and heart, the lungs could be keeping them dead while the heart could possibly be keeping them alive,” Nedzu explained.

“Right. But how would biting turn them?” Mirio questioned.

“Well, humans have strong jaw power, you’re capable to tear through lots of things if we put all our strength into it. If, a human were to bite the skin, with using enough force, it can definitely tear through and bleed,” Nedzu continued explaining.

”So basically what the ferret is saying is that human jaws, plus contaminated teeth, plus bite hard to bleed, equals toxins entering bloodstream. Resulting in! Death!” Hawks waved his hands in the air as he simplified it.

“I’m a stoat Hawks, please be respectful to my animal heritage.”

“Sorry Nedzu.”

Meanwhile, both the students, teachers, and parents froze at the similar language implemented on the paper. It sounded familiar…too familiar.

“Say…doesn’t that sound awfully familiar?” Mina dragged on, turning towards her classmates who all had the same look.

“Yeah…that sounds very familiar,” Kaminari teased, continuing with Mina’s banter. It wasn’t until they heard the distant grunt of annoyance did they start to smile.

“Bakugou, do you have any idea who it might be?” Mina chuckled, giving her attention to the blonde boy sitting slouched, his face turned into an ugly grimace and scowl.

“Would all you extras quit it with the nonsense, it’s obviously me. Who else in this theater swears more than me! My mother! And it’s damn well not her!” He spoke softly before going to an all out yell.

“Brat! I can damn well cuss just as much as you do!”

“And that’s only when you’re at home! I cuss freely whenever I want! Nobody can stop me hag!”

“Bakugou that is not something you should be proud of!” Iida jumped in, appalled at his classmate for not only admitting to cussing daily, but also yelling at his mother!

“Shut it four eyes!”

“Brat! Shut your trap! Your friends’ just being a gentleman!”

“The only thing gentle about him is his attitude! That’s why he’s a pushover!”

“Kacchan you shouldn’t be mean to Iida, he’s class rep he’s just doing his job,” Midoriya muttered as he made a single breathless laugh.

“Shut it nerd! Can’t believe the first person you meet is me, typical,” he said, calming his voice down.

“Yeah, I’m really lucky,” Midoriya smiled gently, relived the Kacchan of this world was still alive. He hoped he would be for the remainder of his time here.

'Holy fucking shit I could've died just now. Zombies!? What kind of sci-fi horror film did I isakei into.' Midoriya thought as he stared in horror filled shock at the paper he received. He turned to look at the person who was going through their bag, probably organizing it.

”Now look who’s cussing!” Bakugou laughed heartily as Midoriya was aghast and pale beside him. He couldn’t believe this version of him decided he should cuss like a sailor.

His classmates and mother couldn’t believe it either. “MIDORIYA!?!?” They shouted, echoing the room as they turned to the one in his chair, looking like he was held at gunpoint.

Inko was pale, stammering out rambled words and sounds as she turned back and forth to both Midoriya’s. “H-How peculiar, I know s-sometimes you cuss but never expected to hear that much in a single sentence!” She said, still in shock.

His classmates after their initial shock, were ecstatic.

“Bro! I’ve never heard you say that much potty words in a sentence either, much less those words! Usually I’ll hear like a ‘hell’ or a ‘damnit’ but never shit! Or fuck!” Kaminari laughed out, holding his stomach.

Please refrain from reusing past-occurring words or phrases,” Iida shouted, chopping his hands in the air.

”Bro…potty words? Who the hell says that?” Kirishima questioned.

“It’s funny! Cuss sounds like a cactus variant or a type of insect! It’s funnier when saying that!” Kaminari tried defending himself.

“Ehh…”

“Doesn’t matter! Now look who’s cussing! Hah!” Bakugou continued laughing next to Midoriya who just sighed. “Maybe four eyes should reprimand you instead!” Bakugou teased, poking his cheek.

Midoriya huffed a laugh as he swatted Bakugou’s finger away, “sure sure Kacchan.”

"Wa-wait. So, the person you just shot. That was a zombie." He pointed to the unmoving body. It actually made sense now, why the skin was green and rotting.

”No shit,” Dabi said bluntly.

Radiation the person said in their letter, that could definitely cause different colors of skin. Too much radiation can in fact, kill a person. It made some total sense.

Can radiation lead to colors in your skin?” Monoma asked, gaining some looks from the 1-A students. He huffed, “what? Just because I make fun of your class doesn’t mean I’m not an ample student.”

“Yes, radiation can cause discoloration, however it wouldn’t be this green color it’s depicted as, it would be a darker tone to your skin, like a sunburn. A more dark red than anything. The green color here could be for reasons unknown to us, much like this process in general,” Lady Chiyo stated.

Monoma nodded his head.

The person turned to him and nodded, taking the piece of paper from him to write on again. He waited, still processing everything. He was handed a new script, quickly trying to read it.

I don't know how the fuck you lived this long without knowing this shit. You got extremely lucky. I've been clearing out these places recently as nobody's been over here yet. Since I found you, I'm allowing you to come with me. Your choice.

“That’s extremely lucky, I hope he takes the offer,” Uraraka stated, hoping they will be alright. “He’s been clearing this place out, he must be nearby if he’s continuously coming here,” she continued.

“Yeah, you’re right. But I agree with him. I’m genuinely surprised Midoriya still lived through all this without a single clue on what’s happening,” Todoroki uttered.

“Hey…” Midoriya pouted.

“Also, nobody's been over here yet? I highly doubt that, like seriously? Nobody thought to check a mall?” Rocklock said, voicing his thoughts.

“Well, there was…all those bodies in the parking lot.” Gran Torino stated grimly.

“That and if zombies did get into the mall, they would’ve followed the crowd, and the crowd leads outside. Whoever did come here, they’re well gone now,” Compress said softly.

“Yeah, and there was probably more zombies waiting for them at the lot already,” Toga added, twirling her hair with her finger.

The hero’s hummed.

"A month ago, when I'm guessing this started. I didn't come out of my house until today, I thought it was best to not go out until I needed to." 'Which due to what happened, was a good choice to make' he thought. He had no idea this was what happened when he was confined inside. The screams he heard last month make sense now, in fact everything he saw made sense now.

He did get extremely lucky. He was thanking the stars for that, usually he had bad luck. He was also lucky to find this person, they said they have been clearing out his hometown? Did he also use to live here, not many people come over there.

"Uhm." There was another predicament. He had to choice wether to come with this person or not. He had no idea how to survive so far, hell, he would've died without the person's help. He felt like this decision was easy, yet hard to say.

"I'll, come with you. But I do have some things I need to grab from my house." He replied carefully, he'd hope he made the right decision with this. The person looked at him and nodded. Again taking the paper and writing on it again.

”Good idea, they need everything they can get. Lots of time to gather, little time to waste,” Aizawa hummed as he nodded in approval.

“So I’ll be staying and traveling with Kacchan, I’m glad,” Midoriya smiled as he looked at Bakugou, who just grumbled. He made a small ‘you better not let me down’ statement before huffed and stopping his banter.

“Out of everyone who would you want to choose to travel with if we were in this scenario?” Kaminari asked. Midoriya paused to answer, humming as he thought.

“Well, protecting me mother would be a main priority, as is Kacchan, I would want to know if aunt Mitsuki and uncle Marasu are alright. Eri would be another main priority, and I would want to check up on Kota, though since he lives in the mountains instead of the city I think that’s better. So I’d probably be-“

“Okay, we get it. You’d rather with Kacchan. I call favoritism!” Kaminari exclaimed as he laughed, as did his other classmates. He’s not sure what he was expecting, this was just a nice version of saying ‘Kacchan.’ but who was he to judge!

“T-That’s not! Ugh, alright…” Midoriya stammered before giving up.

He hopes the person will tell him his name, and what to do or how to survive. He needs as much info as he can get. Fast to. He takes the finished note from the persons hand to read.

Thats fine. First we'll go to my base, then we'll go to wherever you live to get whatever. Once we get back after that, I'll tell you everything you need to know.

"Okay, that's great." He replied, as he stoked his hair. His hands were fidgeting, he was nervous to go with this person. He was more nervous about zombies though, so it cancelled out. They started putting their backpacks on, ready to head out of the mall.

"Are you a guy?" He whispered quietly to the person in front of him. They started walking further into the mall, for a reason he didn't know. He thought that maybe the person got in a different way than he did.

The room erupted in small laughs or chuckles as Midoriya felt his face flame.

“Seriously? That’s what you ask? If the person you’re stuck with is a guy or not?” Uraraka chuckled as Midoriya turned more red.

“I-In my defense! That’s not actually me!”

The rest of the mall was completely in ruins, a huge chunk of the roof fell to the bottom story, making a medium sized hole in the ground. He found out where the water sounds came from, as the pipes on multiple places broke, spewing water onto the bottom story, making it flooded. He was glad he was on the second story.

Moss, vines, and plants became more apparent as they got further into the place. There was now no longer an inch of floor or wall that wasn't covered in green nature. The clear elevators the mall owners installed not two months ago were covered in green. It was actually really pretty despite the circumstances.

The bottom floor of the mall was a mess. He looked down the glass barrier once and saw muddy green/yellow water covering what was suppose to be white tiles. He even saw algae growing.

The room was enamored with the scenery. It felt so surreal yet vivid, a dream yet a reality for someone else. It was hauntingly breathtaking, in a literal sense. It looked nothing like the mall they went to a while ago, yet they could see the similarities present.

“Wow…” Spinner whispered.

“It looks unstable, will they be able to get out of there without it collapsing?” Todoroki worried, looking at the imperfections on the building.

“I would hope so, it seems the dude found a way in. They don’t look like they’re heading in the direction Midoriya went through,” Kirishima stated.

“Dude, you could just say Bakugou,” TestuTestu said.

“Well, I don’t want to be rude, what if it’s not actually him! You never know! The Midoriya in this world acts differently why can’t anyone else?” He argued, getting some nods in agreement.

He was following the person through the mall the entire time, always a few inches behind them. He didn't have any weapon or defense, so he hoped this person who offered him to come along will protect him for the time being.

They were in a somewhat lit hallway, sunlight was shining on the open area of the mall while the darkness was within the wall. They could see clearly, which is why he put away his flashlight for the time being.

The person turned to him, probably offended he asked a question like that. Midoriya lifted his hands up like he didn't do anything. "Hey don't do that. I've been calling you 'the person' in my mind this entire time." He whispered to them.

The room erupted in laughter again, accepting the lightheartedness in a sea of horror even for a split second.

“Of course, ‘the person’ is clearly Bakugou Deku,” Uraraka teased until she stopped her giggling in a serious notion. “Unless…”

The class noticed her stop, “unless what?” Midoriya asked.

She shook her head and waved it off, “nothing, never mind.”

When he tried talking a few times, the person covered his mouth and made a gesture to be quiet. So he decided to whisper, which the person was okay with. He could understand why he did that, as the mall became more echoey as they got further. The groans he heard from before were more present, which now he knew what those noises came from.

The person huffed as they nodded, confirming they were a guy as they went back to walking. They passed multiple stores and groans from below, he guessed zombies were down there. Their footsteps echoed, it was pretty but unsettling.

”So! Any idea why they’re going towards the groaning noises!?” Present Mic yelped. The teachers and hero’s tensed as they saw a student and a potential student crawl towards the danger.

“It might be the way the blonde kid came from?” Shigaraki murmured out, though it was more of a small hiss than anything, but that didn’t relent the hero’s eases one bit.

"So, dude. Will we come back here? For like extra supplies measure?" He questioned, purposely emphasizing the 'dude' part in his question. The person nodded once again; so far they seem to be going to an exit probably.

The students laughed again, as the teachers chuckled. It seems this Midoriya has some comedic timing.

“Midoriya, seriously? Your comebacks are hilarious,” Mina chuckled.

“Yeah? I’ve got to say, this funny, sassy side of you is knew? Unless..?” Midnight egged on.

“I- erm…”

“He’s been sassy since a kid, always has always will the little shit,” Bakugou barked, calling Midoriya out.

Midoriya wondered how close he was to dying multiple times. Getting lost in his own thoughts as he tried looking back at what happened today. He went out of his house, he was again, extremely lucky no zombies were outside. Then he knocked on the mystery neighbors home, the door was open. The lamp was moving and the creaks of wood from upstairs made it obvious something was upstairs. Not to mention when he went into his old neighbors house. Torino had blood all over him, his eyes were lifeless and the blood was somewhat fresh; not to mention when he ran out of the house; he didn't notice the loud groans and footsteps he heard behind him-

Everyone grimaced at the reminded of just how lucky this Midoriya is for surviving this long. The one for all knowers grimaced at the reminded of Gran Torino and Chiyo’s death.

"Holy shit." He proclaimed as his eyes widened, the man covering his mouth and shushing him once again.

Midoriya's own hands covering his mouth along with the mans'. Wincing as an apology as he forgot to whisper.

”Oh my gosh Deku, at this point you’re going to get both of you caught!” Uraraka exclaimed, a little exasperated at how crude this Midoriya is.

“Yep, wouldn’t put it past me…”

The man then pointed to the escalators they were about to head to, his eyes finding way to three zombies huddling around the stairway. A dead women's body laying on the stairs that were shut off. The groans were echoing vividly, alerting their presence.

Everyone tensed as they saw the scene unfold. Some students turned their heads around when seeing the lady’s body that almost made it up the escalator before death arrived. Others examining the zombies.

He didn't even know how they got there, they were probably far into the mall by now. He was lost in his thoughts during the walk, he was so...so close to dying multiple times he couldn't believe it.

The man let go of his mouth and crouched down into the dark wall, Midoriya following shortly after. They were quiet as a mouse, scurrying along the wall to alert their not there. Midoriya kept looking at the three zombies, taking in what they looked like.

Everyone tensed as they watched the two slowly and stealthily make their way along the wall away from the zombies. They were so close to the undead things, any mistake could cost their lives.

One was a women, she had a purple pencil skirt with a dark purple sleeveless turtle neck. Both clothing items were torn and dirty, colors faded. What he supposed was dark brown hair turned light and dead, hanging on by the wits of her head. The left of her face carved into to show the inside of her jaw and cheek.

The other two were men, one looked to have a collar shirt while the other had a simple shirt on. Both the same as the women, dirty and lifeless. One of the mens' face was completely missing the bottom jaw. The other man had its arm hanging by a few muscled tendons that were very visible.

He silently gagged, wanting to throw up. He continued to follow the man and soon passed the three zombies, he noticed the man had a military belt strapped on him. A handle showing he was carrying a knife, a huge one. He gulped, he does not want to be at the end of that.

Many gulped as well, they to, did not want to be at the end of that either.

“So, anybody recognize those undead people?” Hawks coughed as he gathered everyone’s attention.

Many shook their heads in a negative while others replied with ‘no’s’ or ‘Nope’.

Getting pass the zombies was surprisingly easy, he didn't know if zombies could see or not. He thought that maybe not, but he couldn't be for sure. He hope this guy would show him everything important, perhaps he could show him something important also. That way he would be useful to this person.

He never knew how big the mall was once it was empty, it felt like he was walking a mile. Passing by shop after shop, food mart after food mart. They passed by a virtual map, but it was off which he figured. The man in front of him didn't seem bothered by anything.

"So, what's your name?" He questioned once he figured they were far enough away. The man turned slightly to him, as if debating to answer. He stopped and turned towards Midoriya, who was wondering if that was the right call to ask.

The man started doing weird hand gestures again, which confused him again. The man huffed at his confused expression, grabbing his arm harshly and opening his palm to drag his finger across it.

He didn't know what he was doing until he felt an 'O' shape on his palm. The man was writing his name is letters on his palm. "Could you do it again?" He asked, the man doing it again, he focused hard.

”Oh! Oh! Words! Name!” Mirio exclaimed as everyone sat up in their seats and waited to listen, Tsukauchi listening intently to write down later.

B. A. Something. U. Something. O. U.'

“Bakugou!” The class shouted, getting confirmation it’s their classmate. Cheers went around as the hero’s got comfortable in their chairs again and the villains just scoffed.

The teachers however were still tense, now not only was one student in danger, two were. And as fucked up as it sounds, the teachers were hoping for a random person rather than another one of their students.

They didn’t want to watch their students in pain.

He could only get a few words. He decided to nod for now, he didn't want to waste time. The man seemed alright with that answer and continued along. Soon, he saw a slanted pillar leading up to the roof windows. An exit, probably how this guy got in here.

The man started climbing the pillar up, Midoriya soon following suit. Crawling carefully upwards, he stopped a little to look down. They were so high up, seeing the yellow/green water building up on the bottom floor below him. He gulped as he continued going up, soon meeting the man on top.

”Now that! Is unstable!” Hawks gasped, as did many others when they saw the two claiming up a broken, barely hanging on pillar high in the sky.

“Forget unstable, that’s a stupid thing to do climbing on that to get in! I was expecting some sort of employee exit not a fucking broken support beam,” Gran Torino complained, hissing at the scene.

“Oh-Oh my gosh…” Inko stammered as her increasing paling face was shown. Midoriya sighed, it seems like his mothers expression would last for the remainder of their time here.

'I've never seen myself doing this ever. My mom would beat me." Midoriya shakily said, his legs not any better as he refused to look down at the glass supporting him. The man just huffed in amusement as he carefully walked along the roof. Midoriya slowly following.

”And the fucking ceiling is glass!? Hell no!” Gran Torino yelled croakily.

“How the hell did that even happen? Did someone’s quirk get out of hand?” Tsukauchi questioned, putting a hand to his lip.

All Might paled as he saw his boys balancing on the support beam, three stories high with only water who knows deep down below to catch their fall. His heart hammered.

Midoriya chuckled airily, “yeah, wouldn’t see me doing that either. Haha.”

Aizawa just shook his head, muttering something along the lines of ‘problem children.’

He didn't know what would happen after this, but he hope to stay with this person. So far they were kind towards him, and they were the only person he's seen since a month. He had so many questions and so many things to do.

He just hopes they won’t die.

END CHAPTER 1

Everyone calmed down considerably after the end rolled, the movie paused as everyone began analyzing. Some people got out of their seats and some remained seated.

It wasn’t a surprise that Inko rushed straight to her son and enveloped him in a huge hug as tears streamed down her face. “My baby! My poor baby! All alone in such a scary position!” She wailed.

‘Well, now we know where he gets it from…’ the students and teachers thought blankly as they stared at the scene.

Midoriya tried reassuring his poor mother, he already felt guilty for stressing her out so much in his life, now this other Midoriya’s life was stressing her out more. He sighed.

“Mom really, it’ll be okay. I have Kacchan!”

“Speaking of Bakugou, that’s another person to keep tabs on throughout this,” All Might suggested.

“I know, but I don’t have a notebook of some sort…” Tsukauchi sighed, scratching the back of his neck.

“Well, you could always just ask for one? Maybe they’ll give you one?” Spinner continued. Tsukauchi perked up.

“Oh, that’s right…uh, Question Box?” The box then appeared in front of him. He coughed in his fist. “May I have a notebook and pen please?”

Bing!

The question box then disappeared.

“Uhm…where?” Tsukauchi was about to ask before the room heard a small meow. They turned to see the cat back with a notebook in its mouth and trotting over towards him.

The cat then lifted its head to present the notebook to him. “Ah, thank you,” Tsukauchi thanked before taking the notebook from its mouth. The cat then turned to its side to show a pocket full of pens attached to its harness.

Tsukauchi grabbed two before scratching the cats head. It purred and then trotted away. “Alright, now we should continue the screening, the note said that we’d get a break so I think during that break we should make notes,” he suggested.

The hero’s nodded before settling back down.

They were ready for the next part…

Notes:

Fuck this took WAY too long to get out…I really do apologize for procrastinating for so long. I had to revise almost all of it lol and then add some…again I deeply apologize.

But despite my absence I really hope you all enjoy!

Chapter Text

“Although you said we should take notes during our break, I feel like we should take little notes in case we forget something,” Aizawa said, “we’re all focusing on too many things at once, it’ll be easier if we have cliff notes.”

“Ah, I agree, perhaps we can write some small things down beforehand, to reference back during the break we get,” All Might suggests, gaining some agreements from the other heroes.

“Okay then, let’s start,” Tsukauchi began, “we know we’re following the eyes of Midoriya, and now we just got introduced to who we assume is Bakugou, yes?” He restated as he wrote down some notes. The heroes nodded along at his statement.

“Right, and this…apocalypse happened due to an unknown radiation explosion, it causes breath shortage, green coloring of the skin, and causes…undeath,” he continued, pausing a little at the end of his statement due to the absurdity of the situation.

“Timestamp so far is a month from when the explosion happened, they’re in Musutafu currently, at the mall, and I think that might be it, correct?” Tsukauchi confirmed with everyone.

“Are you going to write down his previous things? Like, he said he wanted to be a scientist or doctor right? Shouldn’t we write that down?” Toga questioned, twirling a strand of her hair.

“Hmm, I’ll write those details down during our break, I’m sure we’ll have enough time,” he told her, which she nodded to.

“You should also write about Gran Torino, and his status, because although I doubt he’ll be alive now, he was injured when we last saw him,” Rocklock mentioned, gaining a few grimaces within the room.

“Ahhh might as well mark me as dead. It's not like I’d last long in that state nor age,” Gran Torino stated, making Midoriya and All Might both look at him aghast. Tsukauchi just nodded solemnly, as he wrote down his status in the notebook.

“Maybe during our break I could organize these notes as well, make them easier to track,” Tsukauchi muttered to himself. All Might heard and remembered his protégés notebooks.

“My boy, don’t you write notes in those notebooks of yours? Why not help organize and take some?” All Might asked, politely. Midoriya jumped, not expecting to be called out by someone.

“O-Oh! Well! Uhm, it’s just…the notes I take are pretty rushed so I don’t think they’d be as good as the detectives! B-Besides I’m sure he’s better at note taking than me,” Midoriya stuttered out, stammering as his cheeks grew a little red.

“It’s fine Toshinori, besides, everyone can pitch in if I miss anything,” Tsukauchi reassured, giving a small smile. All Might returned the smile with a little reply.

“Alright, now that that’s settled, and now that we have what information we need, is everyone ready to watch the next ‘chapter’?” Miruko asked, getting some nods and confirmations in return.

Everyone settled down, dreading the next chapter.

Chapter Two: Mall

“So…are you from here or another city?” He questioned as he followed the man behind him.

After getting onto the roof, they walked to a back stairway and climbed down from there. Now the two were walking along a deserted road.

Not really deserted though.

On occasion they’d see a few dead bodies piled up, either on the road or on the sidewalk. A few cars that were demolished here and there, and the occasional random objects flying with the wind.

Already, in the first scene, it was not going well.

The students shuddered in both disgust and fear. Some held each other for a little support. The heroes and villains just grimaced as they saw the scenery. Midoriya however, was pale as he watched himself walk past bodies. Bodies!

Bakugou wasn’t peachy either. He pulled an ugly face as he, to, watched himself walk past bodies and destruction completely unfazed. Not even taking a look!

Mirio made sure to turn Eri to face him. He was glad that she wasn’t paying attention and instead focused on taking another nap.

The sky was still a musky orange, and now it was getting quite harder to breathe. He’s had to take a few deep breaths continuously throughout their walk. The air crisp on his throat when he did, making him cough at some moments.

Dread filled their stomachs as they watched him take deep breaths.

“Shit…and that’s how it starts, do you think..?” Hawks dragged as he looked at the other heroes and winced. All Might turned pale at the implication and vehemently shook his head in denial.

Mirio pursed his lips but otherwise stayed silent. He didn’t think this Midoriya was becoming infected, and he’s sure many others think it as well. However, he knows how some people can’t help but think of the worst scenario.

And he can’t blame him, this world doesn’t exactly seem to have the happiest outcomes.

Despite the worry for what might happen though, he’s confident in his Midoriya, and therefore, is confident in this Midoriya.

“I don’t think he is,” Dabi stated, “otherwise he’d be dead already. People died-“ he snapped his fingers “-like that. He’s actually holding out,” he ended.

Hawks nodded, “that’s true, but just because he’s holding out now doesn’t mean that he can hold out for long,” he warned.

“Hmn, you’re wrong,” Dabi just ended up stating.

Hawks scoffed and rolled his eyes, offended.

The class watched with some bated breaths. Midoriya’s face just ended up paling even further, his stomach twisting.

Katsuki scoffed, “calm down, he’s fine.”

Iida fixed his glasses, “I find that hard to believe Bakugou! As it showed us in the first part, trouble breathing was the first step to infection before death!”

Uraraka chuckled nervously, “no no, I think Bakugou’s right, I mean- why would this person show us his life if he’s dead! Right?” She reminded them.

They relaxed a little at the reminder, Midoriya relaxing the most. Uraraka smiled a little, trying more to reassure her peers, “let’s just continue watching this, I’m sure he’ll be fine.”

The class nodded their heads. And while she may have been able to calm down the other students, she wasn’t able to calm the parents.

Inko was gripping Mitsuki’s arm like a lifeline. Tears prickle in her eyes as she silently panics. Mitsuki just rubbed her hand up and down her back, giving silent support.

The man hadn’t said a word since…well since he wrote those letters on his hands. It’s probably been a hot minute since then, and the man only bothered to look at him whenever he coughed or had heavy breathing.

“I gotta say Bakugou, other you isn’t really friendly…” Kaminari hesitated, wincing at the blatant ignorance he saw.

Bakugou suddenly became annoyed, wishing to bonk him on the head.

“It’s understandable in his case, Kaminari,” Aizawa said gruffly, “He’s been alone the entire time, and now suddenly he comes across Midoriya without a mask, It’s good to be wary,” he continued.

“Aizawa’s right. You need to be wary of people during times of panic or stress, even if you know them, I’m not saying to go against people- or to stop trusting your peers, but it’s good to be observant,” Tsukauchi says carefully.

“But I would never betray Kacchan! Never! A-And Kacchan knows I’d never do that!” Midoriya yelled out, voice full of confidence. He clenched his fists, “So, he doesn’t need to be wary of me at all!” Midoriya finishes.

Bakugou kept still, yet if one focused on him carefully, you could see him tilt his head a little and make little expressions to himself, as if he agreed with those statements.

Uraraka looked at him, a little smile on her face as he continued. However, at the last statement, her smile faded and she took on a more thoughtful look. She kept looking between the screen towards the two sitting next to her.

She decided to keep her thoughts to herself for the time being.

He grumbled under his breath, pouting as he was ignored. They were heading towards a more secluded area now, houses are spread out more and the mall is far ways away.

Despite the assumption that they both are their problem students, the teachers couldn’t help but tense a little. Midoriya was being led to a secluded area, and although one could argue that they are already secluded, they didn’t feel at ease with Midoriya- going to a secluded area, alone, with someone possibly much stronger than him.

Aizawa glared at the screen, subconsciously gripping his assist weapon on his neck.

Meanwhile, the students were snickering at the pouting that on-screen Midoriya was doing.

“So your base, have you used it this whole time or when this all started?” He questioned again. He sped up and tilted his head to see, despite the only thing he saw was a gas/motorcycle mask hiding the mans face.

The man huffed as he walked faster. “Hey!” He whined as he tried catching up.

The students and some others laughed lightly. Midoriya blushed a little as he saw himself whine.

“That mask looks so cool,” Testutestu said, smiling a little. His classmates looked at him a little exasperated, not expecting that random statement.

“I agree!” Kirishima responded.

Then his classmates looked at him similarly as the other two.

“Are we finally here? Is this it..?” Midoriya asked, taking in the sight. It was a bank. A sad, pitiful, abandoned bank in the middle of a random vacant area. It was a singular lone building, and probably a long 20 minute walk away from the mall they were just at.

“A…bank?” Mirio questioned with a tilt to his head. Everyone else was in some sort of confusion as well.

“It might’ve been abandoned,” Shigaraki muttered, scratching his neck a little. The villains nodded along.

“That’s true but…a bank? Really? Not only is it open but also quite easy for others to get in, doesn’t seem very optimal don’t you think?” Kaminari questioned, some of his peers giving him some odd looks at him speaking to villains.

He doesn’t really care, and he thinks his peers don’t care as much either. They're all stuck in this theater room watching a different universe where zombies exist and won’t be getting out any time soon. They all might-as-well get comfy with each other.

“Well when time is urgent you don’t have the option to just pick and choose,” Dabi deadpanned, caring less about anything at the moment. “Can’t exactly just pick a penthouse when deciding for a place to survive in.”

“Oh, yeah…” Kaminari just ended up saying in response.

The man grunted as he walked through the only doors that weren’t barricaded. Midoriya furrowed his brows before walking in after him, taking in the scenery.

It was surprisingly clean, the outside made it look like it was about to collapse while the inside had clean white floors and kept walls. It was obvious the man made his own adjustments to the place.

Instead of an open building, the man seemed to make D.I.Y walls out of cardboard and wood planks. Doors to other rooms were shut and they seemed to be in the main room. There was a couch and a glass table. Weapon racks and shelves taking up the wall space. A large crate was at the end of the room along with a miniature fridge on top of a pile of boxes.

Everyone was quite impressed by the interior, some more than others. The students gaped at the cluttered yet kept room, the heroes impressed by the efficiency and the villains were impressed by how the room looked in such little time.

“He’s made and found all that in such little time, that’s kinda impressive,” Compress awed. Shigaraki scowled as Dabi gave an amused hum. Toga shook her head aggressively in agreement.

“Yeah, and to make interior walls himself as well, that doesn’t seem possible,” Gran Torino mumbled.

“It’s not just the walls, he has supplies, furniture, he even has built doors. He’s clearly renovated the place to his liking, but…” Recovery Girl insinuated lightly.

Surprisingly, Shouto was the one to finish her sentence, "there's no way he would’ve had this done in a month, especially with zombies.”

“So you’re implying that he started building this before the apocalypse started?” Present Mic said apprehensively.

“It is possible…” Todoroki deadpanned.

Everyone let that sink in a little.

That wasn’t the place however, as the man continued to the wall where a heavy security door was present. He typed in a code and opened to reveal a small enclosed room.

“Did he make that or is that actually in banks?” Mina asked hesitatingly.

“Those are actually in banks Ashido,” Midnight replied.

“Wait- I thought that huge vaults like that were just in movies? To like- make bank heists more exciting?” Kaminari said, confused as he looked at his peers.

“No, vaults are parts of an actual bank, Kaminari,” Midnight explained, “they just are filled with lockers to protect private information and valuables.”

“Ohh, that makes sense.”

Woah,’ Midoriya muttered in awe as he looked around.

Inside was a bunch of racks with guns and shelves with knives, some gas masks and vests on the sides of other racks or hangers. A big carton of food and perishables, and a fridge. Some beanbags were laid out and a round table made for kids was in the middle.

The students felt a little uneasy seeing their classmate be in a room full of guns. The teachers tensed ever further and Inko’s face paled to white. Meanwhile the heroes took notice of the room and what was in it.

“He for sure didn’t do this all in a month,” Hawks confirmed casually, “and he has multiple of things, you notice that? Seems he expected to meet people at some point.”

“Bakugou cares quite well for all of us,” Uraraka mentions, “he knows exactly what to get us for gifts, he knows our favorite foods, he listens to us and he always no matter how much we annoy him, always is there for us!” She smiles brightly.

Her classmates all nod or shout in agreement. “Yeah! Bakugou must’ve thought about us and grabbed as much as he can! It’s probably why he was in Musutafu! He was trying to find some of us!” Kirishima exclaimed.

Unbeknownst to them, Bakugou was currently looking down at his lap, hiding his red stricken face from any onlookers. His ears were pink as his classmates kept spouting things they noticed that he tried his very hardest to get them to not notice.

Midoriya noticed this however, and with a small smile, he tapped his shoe on Bakugou’s lightly.

“This is all leading towards Bakugou so it’s kinda silly seeing Midoriya be so dense,” Kaminari teased.

Midoriya laughed lightly.

Uraraka’s brows furrowed, as did Todoroki’s.

“Dude,” Midoriya cried out as he took in his surroundings. This was practically a perfect base for this kind of thing. Thing being apocalypse. “This is so cool!” He smiled, the guy grunted as he closed the door.

“So dense,” Kaminari continued his banter, earning a whine from Midoriya and a few laughs from his classmates.

They both decided to sit down on the floor, in front of the kids round table.

“So…umm, I have stuff if you want to share it, I didn’t know what to expect so I kinda grabbed a few things from my place,” Midoriya said as he took off his backpack and scuffled through it.

“No. No no, NEVER give your supplies to others, if not then at least give it for a price, don’t just hand stuff out when you can’t guarantee you will get something to replace it,” Aizawa lectured to his students as they turned to listen to him.

“Yeah, listen to scruffy-head over there,” Hawks stated sternly, “ never give away for free in dire situations, especially ones like this where it’s an apocalypse,” he finished.

The villains all nodded along, agreeing. “Yeah, don’t bite off more than you can chew…or something along those lines,” Compress huffed dramatically.

“This is why eraserhead is so cool,” Shigaraki praised as he continued to scratch his neck, making odd crispy noises. Aizawa grimaced and Present Mic glared murderously at the back of the blue-haired villain's head. An ugly scowl present on Mic’s face.

He noticed the sandwich he had, and he looked at it thoughtfully. The man sure had a lot of food, but…

“No! No!”

“NOooO!”

“Problem child.”

Midoriya sank further in his seat as he heard people all throughout the room protest against his actions. His face red as a tomato as he muttered under his breath.

“But it’s Kacchan, of course I’m going to share it with him.”

He looked at the guy and pulled out the ziplock bag. He could tell the guy was curious on what he was doing, eyeing the sandwich in his hands. “Do you want this?” He offered it to him.

“No! Ugh I can’t believe it! Please know to never do that,” Hawks lamented. Midoriya nodded his head in reply, too embarrassed to speak.

The villains just shook their heads, dismayed.

“No survival instincts whatsoever,” Shigaraki scoffed, judging.

The man stood stiff for a while before nodding and taking it from his hand. The man looked at him for a while before placing it down and holding up his hand.

He signed, ( Thank you.)

“Oh! Subtitles! Sweet!” Kaminari cheered, as did some others.

“That’s good, that way we don’t miss any translations during scenes,” Midnight recounts. Present Mic and hawks relaxed, a little relieved they won’t have to translate while it plays.

“That’s also handy in case he says anything important,” Tsukauchi informed.

“Uhh I uh- still don’t know what that means,” Midoriya stammered out, scratching his cheek. The man grunted as he leaned over to reach at some paper along with a pen that was on the table. He began writing something before giving it to him.

Thank you’

“Oh uh- you’re welcome,” he smiled. The man reached to take off his helmet, which Midoriya had been slightly waiting for for a while. Once the man finally taken it off, he was quite surprised.

Everyone crouched down in their seats a little, waiting anxiously for the reveal of the person's face. Anticipation sprung high in the students especially.

The man he thought he was, was actually quite possibly the same age as him. He had blond silky yet spikey hair and red eyes, bright ruby red.

“BAKUGOU!” His classmates cheered, raising their hands high in the air in celebration. The room erupted into many voices, mostly the students celebrating the reveal of their classmate.

“Glad to see Midoriya found Bakugou!” Iida declared loudly, gaining some nods in return.

“Yeah! These two will surely make it together!” Mina exclaimed.

Midoriya laid back in his seat. After the assumptions and now finally getting revealed to be Kacchan he relaxed, knowing other him would be taken care of. He sighed happily. “I’m glad it’s you Kacchan,” he turned to look at the Bakugou sitting next to him.

Bakugou just scoffed in reply, “hah, of course the first person you come across is me, figures,” he just snarked. Despite the harsh words, Midoriya could hear the amusement through the response. He just smiled in return.

Meanwhile, the teachers felt the opposite, dreading that fact they have to see another student be put through danger. Aizawa just glared at the screen, as he secretly hoped it wasn’t another student. He didn’t want on-screen Midoriya to be with some random person, but he didn’t want any more students in constant danger as well.

Inko finally looked calm as she saw it revealed to be her friend's son. Mitsuki and Masaru looked calm as well, despite knowing their kid was going to show up at some point. Mitsuki rubbed her hands along Inko’s back in reassurance.

“See, those two will be fine now! Katsuki will keep little Izuku safe!” Mitsuki exclaimed, and Masaru nodded along furiously. “I have all confidence that the brat will manage!” She continues.

“It seems like he’s already managing well ma’am,” Rocklock mentions, “weapons, security, food, seems like he knows what he’s doing.”

“Of course I know what to do! I’m not stupid!” Bakugou snarled.

His favorite color, Albeit- probably his favorite color no more as he’s seen too much of it in the last hour, but still a nice color.

Many people winced or grimaced at the reminder, especially Midoriya as his favorite color was in fact red.

His face was pale yet rosy. He looked much more taken care of than him right now. His eyes were held stern yet soft, and his hair looked fluffy despite looking like a pufferfish. He was quite handsome, if Midoriya said so himself.

“He doesn’t look that much different from our Bakugou,” Uraraka noticed, putting a finger at her mouth in thought.

“Yeah, it looks like his hair is wet but that’s the only difference,” Todoroki pointed out.

“Shut up Icyhot! On-screen me looks perfectly fine!” Bakugou yelled, gaining a yell back from his mother.

“You think Bakugou is handsome?” Mina teased, looking over to stare at Midoriya, whose face turned a little red.

“Well, Kacchan is popular for a reason, it’s not just his quirk that impresses people, but his skills, Kacchan’s incredibly smart too, and Kacchan does have good looks, as do most people in our class,” Midoriya rambled.

“I’d have to agree, Bakugou is pretty handsome,” Kendou stated.

“Pruely informatory, but Bakugou does have attributes that one would believe to be attractive!” Iida states while chopping his hands in the air.

“Dude, you could just say he’s good looking,” Kirishima looks at Iida, exasperated.

“Hah! Well of course, he got his good looks from his mother! I’m not a fashion designer for nothing!” Mitsuki laughed hard. Masaru nodded in agreement, not even detesting his wife as he agreed wholeheartedly.

“I wonder…” Todoroki mumbled under his breath, and Uraraka noticed.

“What’d you say Todoroki?” Uraraka asked.

Todoroki thought about saying anything, but decided not to and shook his head, “nothing Uraraka.”

“Okay…”

Midoriya just watched as the guy quickly finished the sandwich before he got up and looked around. He grabbed a few things and walked in front of him.

“Why am I not saying anything to Kacchan?” Midoriya asked generally, furrowing his brows as he watched, confused.

“And why am I not saying anything to Deku?” Bakugou also asked, confused.

The students looked at each other in confusion as well as they watched the two on screen interact with each other.

Suddenly the two heard Aizawa curse, and they turned to look at him. He didn’t notice as they heard him mutter, “no wonder they’re acting like that…”

They gave each other a small concerned glance.

He tossed the huge camping backpack towards him, which Midoriya quickly replaced for his old school bag. He then handed Midoriya a sharp knife and holder to attach to his leg. Which Midoriya quickly thanked the man before trying to strap it on.

But before he could do that, a fabric was thrown at his face. Startled by it, he quickly grabbed it off his face and looked to see it was a pair of military cargo pants. “Ah- thank you again,” He said before putting them on.

“Good thing he’s arming him, and eye for an eye,” Miruko sighed, laying back on her chair. Despite on-screen Midoriya getting armed being a good thing, the teachers can’t help but have a little pit in their stomachs.

“He’s arming him well too, not just random things to pay back for the sandwich, he even gave him a knife,” Hawks noted.

“Of course I’d arm Deku, I ain’t no wuss,” Bakugou snarked as he crossed his arms to his chest. Midoriya just gave a light chuckle beside him.

After putting on the pants and strapping the knife holder on, they sat back down, “I do have some questions, if you don’t mind me asking?” He felt like now was a good time to ask. The guy grabbed paper and a pen.

By now, the students looked around at each other, thoroughly confused. Why was on-screen Midoriya acting like this? Like he didn’t recognize Bakugou? Midoriya looked at Bakugou, both giving each other confused glances.

“Why am I…” Midoriya hesitated, still looking confused.

“Why are you acting like that?” Mina asked more to herself than anything, “It’s Bakugou, why would you need to ask questions?”

“Well he obviously wants to ask questions about this apocalypse he’s living in right now,” Monoma snarked, however even he felt this was a little weird.

“Question box.”

Everyone turned to look at Uraraka, some surprised while others a little suspicious.

“What are you going to ask Uraraka?” Iida questioned. Uraraka bit her lip as she contemplated telling everyone what she was asking about. She was about to tell them when the question box appeared in front of her. She felt the pressure of stares as she sat in her seat.

She leaned towards the question box.

“Do…Midoriya and Bakugou know each other in this universe?”

Suddenly, despite nobody even talking, the room felt eerily silent. The students looked surprised, while the villains and heroes remained indifferent. Two people however, took it the hardest, as Midoriya’s and Bakugou’s faces paled a little as they looked at each other.

“W-What do you mean?” Midoriya stammered out, not believing it for a second.

His resolve broke a little however as Todoroki also agreed with Uraraka.

“I also had suspicion that they might not know each other in this universe,” Todoroki added, then Aizawa also agreed. “I noticed how they interacted, totally different than how you two do, something must be different.”

Then, a ding rang through the theater, making them turn their heads towards the screen which went black to answer the question. Midoriya turned to the screen, hoping that whatever his friends and teacher believe isn’t the case.

That is correct, Midoriya Izuku and Bakugou Katsuki in this universe do not know each other and were not childhood friends, they are considered strangers to each other.

He felt his face pale at the final nail on the coffin. He and Kacchan don’t know each other, are strangers. It feels alien to even think of that possibility! It feels wrong that it could be a possibility! He couldn’t speak, he just stared at the screen, jaw dropped in sadness.

While Midoriya was feeling sad, Bakugou was feeling angry. Hot liquid running through his veins. He, at some point during middle school, had thought of that possibility, but now in his life it felt…wrong. It felt like he would be incomplete, wrong, wrong, wrong.

The two were just staring at the screen, a pain they didn’t even know what could be.

Meanwhile, the students felt a little odd themselves.

“That…that just feels wrong,” Kaminari grimaced and made a disgusted face. He got some nods in agreement.

“Yeah…but hey, don’t you think it’s kinda cool how despite never knowing each other, they still managed to meet? And in an apocalypse at that!” Mina tried lightening the mood.

“Yeah, it’s almost like fate,” Kendou noted.

At that notion, Midoriya and Bakugou calmed down a little. Despite these two versions of them never being childhood friends, they still managed to meet each other. They still somehow found a way to find each other.

Midoriya, after calming down, turned to Uraraka, “how did you figure that out?”

“I noticed it when they were walking out of the mall,” she said, “it was obvious the person was Bakugou, and you should’ve noticed but you didn’t, so I started getting a little suspicious,” she ended.

“Ah, I see,” Midoriya sighed as he relaxed in his chair.

“Let’s continue,” Aizawa stated, calming the students down.

He nodded, waiting.

“Okay- what’s your name again?” He asked. The man gave him a deadpanned expression, obviously judging him. Midoriya winced, “Sorry, I only got a few letters of it,” He explained. The man nodded before writing something down and giving it to him.

Bakugou Katsuki. Call me Katsuki.’

Midoriya grimaced. It was so weird seeing him not recognize Kacchan. He huffed, guess he has to get used to this weird feeling throughout the ‘movie’.

Also, Katsuki? That feels weird to even think about saying, and he’ll have to hear that come out of his mouth instead of Kacchan? This is just too weird.

Bakugou was sharing the same sentiments, though he was much more quiet about it. It felt weird having Deku call him anything but Kacchan. Though he can’t blame the other versions of them, as they don’t know each other.

…

Nah he takes that back, he does blame them. Why didn’t they get to know each other? They’re idiots, that's what!

“There’s the real confirmation,” Tsukauchi said as he wrote down the name in the notebook. “So far that’s two from class 1-A,” he reminded himself.

“Don’t forget, young Shiozaki will make an appearance too,” All Might added.

“Yes, but I want confirmation first, when she makes an appearance I will add her,” he explained. All Might hummed in acknowledgment.

“Ah okay!” He smiled at the man- at Katsuki. Already on first name basis, that’s good! Now onto another question, “Do you live here? I bet the cities like Hosu are crowded but over here it wasn’t as bad.”

“Shit, I didn’t even think about that, cities must be overflowing with zombies,” Miruko huffed, tapping a foot on the floor erratically.

“I’m just shocked Musutafu isn’t as overcrowded with zombies,” Mirio added, then he stopped a little to think.

“Maybe…they all migrated to the bigger cities?” He questioned.

“They probably did kid,” Gran Torino said gruffly, “they might be attracted to noise, and the city is full of noise.”

“If they stay away from the cities, maybe go farther out, they won’t have to encounter zombies everyday, better for survival,” Rocklock deduced.

“Plus, farther out is usually where fishing docks are, more food and water supply,” Nedzu informed.

“Their best bet is probably south then.”

I was visiting here, but I was suppose to go back in the city somewhere for my job. Glad I didn’t.’

The students sweatdropped as they read it. Yeah, it was a good thing he didn't.

“Kacchan has a job..?” Midoriya muttered, “what would Kacchan’s job even be? Heroes aren’t a thing in this universe, so…” he continued.

“I have no idea nerd,” Bakugou huffed.

“No heroes, Midoriya and Bakugou aren’t childhood friends, zombies? What’s next, no quirks? This might as well be an entirely different universe rather than an alternate universe,” Todoroki complained with a dull face.

“Speaking of that, I haven’t seen Bakugou or Midoriya use their quirks?” Uraraka noted.

“Yeah, wouldn’t Bakugou like- use his quirk constantly? And Midoriya can basically go anywhere with how high and fast he can go,” Kirishima questioned.

“My quirk makes noise, idiots, it probably would alert zombies,” Bakugou explained, “plus my quirk uses my sweat, I need to keep hydrated if I want to use it, and because other me is in a fucking apocalypse, water might be scarce.”

He ‘oh’ed’, as did a few others. “But that doesn’t explain why Midoriya doesn’t use his quirk,” Uraraka said.

“Umm…” was all Midoriya could say. Truthfully, he did know why he wasn’t using his quirk. It’s quite simple.

He’s still quirkless in this world.

Since heroes don’t exist in this universe, there’s practically no need for All Might to have given him his quirk (if he even had one for all) so he must still be quirkless. However, he can’t just say that to his peers otherwise his secret would be out.

“It’s for the same reasons, idiots! He shines fucking lightning! That will obviously make noise!” Bakugou said, saving him the trouble of making an excuse. Midoriya sighed as he relaxed in his chair, not realizing he was so tense.

They left it at that, and Midoriya muttered a small ‘Thank you, Kacchan’ to which he just huffed in reply.

“Say- what is your job? Or- was your job? If I may ask?”

Katsuki paused at that before writing.

I was a military guard.’

“Uhh, what?” Present mic blurted out, though nobody acknowledged him.

“That’s pretty cool!” Mina said, cheerful as ever.

“Was not expecting that at all,” Mitsuki lamented as Inko patted her arm and giggled a little.

“What! That’s pretty cool! That must mean you’re strong right!” Midoriya awed as he went on a rant. He didn’t know that under those baggy layers was an ex-military guy! So cool!

But before Midoriya could go on a huge muttering rany he stopped himself to ask more questions. “What’s your age? Are you the same age as me? I’m 17!’ He asked.

“Wow, I’m a lot older,” Midoriya said surprised, “I was expecting sixteen, but seventeen looks more right now that I look.”

“Wait- you're studying biology and medicine and you're only seventeen? I feel like a failure,” Kaminari whined.

“No joke, I feel like I’m not trying my hardest after seeing this Midoriya,” Kendou joked, however Monoma cut her off.

“Nonsense! You’re way better than those class 1-A students!” Monoma yelled, making Kendou give a small smile.

“Forget about studies! We’re all younger than this Midoriya!” Uraraka awed, “that means Bakugou has to be older too right?”

“We’ll find out if you all hush,” Aizawa sighed, making the students go silent.

“Huh, so their ages are different too,” Tsukauchi muttered as he erased something before writing something down. “It appears so my friend,” All Might said breathily.

One of his boys was seventeen in this world!

Katsuki shook his head as he wrote a number and showed him.

19’

“WHAT!?” The class yelled out in surprise, completely shocked.

“He’s two whole years older than other Midoriya!” Kirishima exclaimed.

“Never mind that! He’s four to five years older than us!” Kaminari yelled.

“We’re quite far apart in age, maybe that's why we’re not childhood friends in this universe,” Midoriya blinked, quite surprised.

Mitsuki blinked in surprise at that, her son was nineteen! She huffed, quite proud even when there was nothing exactly to be proud of. She’s a mother, her baby will always make her proud!

Meanwhile All Might paled even further.

His other boy was nineteen! How crazy!

“Seriously, you’re nineteen!?” Midoriya exclaimed, a little surprised at the revelation.

Katsuki nodded as he flipped the paper, writing down what appears to be some questions of his own for Midoriya. The first one being…

How the fuck did you survive this long?’

Everyone sweatdropped. Well, it was a good question to ask…

Which, fair. Midoriya just grimaced and scratched the side of his face. “Well, I’m guessing when everything started, I thought staying inside was a better choice. I just was more of a hermit and lived inside for that month until I needed more things,” he told.

“Well at least he’s not sugarcoating it,” Spinner snarked, remembering his time living as a hermit during his most severe depressive episode. This time, being a hermit actually saved somebody's life instead of deteriorating one.

Katsuki just blinked at him, appalled but without the shocked face. Then, he just used his fingers to rub the top of his nose, already annoyed at the newcomer. He decided to ignore that and ask another question,

‘How can you breathe?”

“What do you mean? You mean your gas mask right? Is that what was causing everything because on our way here I had a hard time breathing?” Midoriya asked, confused at the question.

“So he admits that he’s having trouble breathing, what would Bakugou think?” Midnight concerns, looking at Aizawa in worry.

Aizawa hummed, “I think he’ll be fine, he had trouble for a little while until he was back to breathing normally. If he didn’t trust Midoriya then I don’t think he would’ve given him the offer to follow him,” he reasoned.

“Look at how annoyed you are Bakugou! First meeting with Midoriya in this world and he’s already annoying you!” Mina laughed, followed by Kaminari and Kirishima. Midoriya just laughed airily, a little embarrassed as Bakugou tch’ed.

“Are toxins still in the air? Should I use a gas mask from now on?” Midoriya continued to question as he got confused face expressions from the other. It wasn’t until he held out his hand that Midoriya stopped, letting him write something down.

Lets wait for you to get a mask, it seems you’re having no trouble. Let’s get some sleep, then tomorrow we’ll hit the mall up again.’

“Why would he wait for a mask?” Uraraka asked as she turned to Aizawa.

“Maybe so he doesn’t waste one, climbing and running around could risk breaking it, and since he can already breathe without one there's no need to give him one.” Aizawa explained, getting a nod from Uraraka.

“Also, I understand that they’re going back to the mall for supplies, but do they really need it?” Todoroki questioned with a confused look.

“Well, don’t want anyone else getting it before you do. Even if you don’t need it, it’s better to have it just in case,” Hawks informed.

“But…wouldn’t you leave it in case anyone else comes around?” Iida asked as his face took on a pinched form.

Aizawa grimaced, however before he could reply, Shigaraki slammed his hands on the chair and turned to the heroes, making Aizawa tense. Almost like a cat raising his hackles.

“It’s survival of the fittest! You heroes always think you can try to save everyone! It makes me sick! This-” he pointed to the screen, showing the ‘movie’ “-this will show you just how horrible society is!” He cackled.

The heroes hardened their gazes as they watched the villain leader cackle manically. Tension rose and everyone tensed. The teachers' faces darkened, and the students looked between angry and frightened.

“We’re not supposed to fight, everyone remember that,” Tsukauchi stated calmly, doing well despite the heavy tension within the air. “Lets continue watching, the more we watch the less time we have here,” he informed.

Everyone looked around to look at each other, debating whether to listen or not, however they decided to calm down and focus on the screen.

Midoriya continued to worry in silence however, as Shigarki’s words continued to eat at him. It’s an apocalypse, people will panic, betray, kill. What if he kills? He doesn’t think he could handle seeing himself kill another person.

“Ah sounds good!” Midoriya made a small smile. As Katsuki was about to get up Midoriya called out to him, making him turn.

“Could we stop by my neighborhood? I have other supplies sitting at my house. I have water, and if you think anything else is valuable we could just take it,” Midoriya said. Katsuki nodded at his request and they both settled at that.

They laid beside the weapons and food crates. There, the two were getting into sleeping bags to sleep the rest of the day away. Katsuki went to sleep, having his back facing the other, and a knife underneath his pillow. On guard.

Midoriya watched, unnerved as he saw Kacchan put a knife under him, ready to hurt him. Bakugou felt the same way, as did the students. Their parents were appalled at Bakugou’s behavior despite knowing the reason why.

Midoriya’s back was also turned towards the other, however he couldn’t fall asleep. Today, might be one of the worst days he’s ever had, and the days will only get worse from here on out.

He can’t seem to get his mind to stop, to breathe, to relax. His mind was going into overdrive, thinking of all the blood, the bodies, the destruction. He smushed his face into the pillow more, thinking about all the things he’s seen.

“What’s happening?” Midoriya asked, concerned for the other version of him.

Recovery Girl sighed, “ah, the adrenaline is finally wearing off, this boy is going to be traumatized.” All Might grew concerned for his boy and the heroes grimaced.

Aizawa sighed softly, “your adrenaline is wearing off, Midoriya. Now that your body is relaxing, you're finally feeling the effects of what you’ve seen throughout the day.”

The students looked at the screen with worry. Midoriya looked at his other version with a sad look, wishing he could help his other version instead of watch.

He took a deep breath, trying to calm down. He now knows why his mom wasn’t back from work after that day, he knows why his neighbor had a hole in his neck.

Suddenly, Midoriya looked as white as a sheet.

“Gran Torino! Other me left Gran Torino in his house!” He shrieked, gripping the sides of his head in panic.

Then the others realized too, and soon, a silence fell within the room.

“You marked me as dead, right?” Gran Torino asked as he turned to Tsukauchi, who looked at him oddly before nodding.

All Might and Midoriya looked at Gran Torino, appalled at the blunt acceptance of his death.

He also knew why he’s the closest to the door and Katsuki is in the corner farthest from the door.

“...”

Midoriya and Bakugou paled as they looked at each other.

“I don’t get it,” Kaminari asked, confused at the silence.

“Me neither,” Mina added. Being dumb and dumber.

The parents also paled at the implication, clutching their hands tightly. The villains huffed in satisfaction, as this sort of action was the reason for them kidnapping Bakugou.

“He put him closest to the door, because if something gets in, they’ll go for Midoriya first, leaving him time to escape,” Aizawa explained carefully.

When it clicked, the two became uncomfortably silent.

“Oh,” they both blunted.

He suddenly became tired, adrenaline he didn’t know was there finally wearing off. He closed his eyes, curled up and drifted.

Tomorrows a new day.

“A new day for more zombies,” Todoroki deadpanned.

Everyone sweatdropped.

“So, KitKat, what made you join the military?” Midoriya asked, looking at Katsuki as they walked towards the mall. It was the next day, and they left early in the morning to hit all the places they agreed upon.

“Kitkat!? That’s priceless!” Kaminari belly-laughed, tears coming out of his eyes. Uraraka joined him while the rest of the students mostly snickered within their fists. Bakugou’s face became red with anger as he tried flickering his quirk on, forgetting they no longer have their quirks.

He made an ugly face as he gave a death glare at everyone. Midoriya giggled lightly before turning solemn. He supposes that because they don’t know each other, his nickname won’t be expected to stick, but it’s still a little weird to see him call him something other than Kacchan.

Katsuki froze at the nickname before glaring at him before he started walking faster. This time around, Katsuki had his visor off, so Midoriya was able to see the glare directed at him. Midoriya chuckled lightly before picking up his pace.

“So that mask thing has multiple parts, that's useful,” Present Mic analyzed, as he leaned further out of his seat to see closer.

Meanwhile, the class 1-A students started chuckling quite loudly, relishing in seeing Bakugou being annoyed.

“What? Don’t like the nickname? I thought we were close~ alright, how about…Kaboom?” Midoriya teased, elated by the expressions that pass over the blonde's face.

“This is priceless,”  Kaminari laughed as he watched the scene unfold. The students continued to giggle and laugh.

“It’s funny how he thought of that without knowing his quirk, considering his quirk is explosions,” Uraraka giggled.

“Ka-chow? You know, like that American movie?”

“Fucking Ka-chow!? Ha!” Someone said before the class erupted into loud laughter. Bakugou tried hiding his burning red face by looking down.

“Maybe…Kacchan?” Midoriya smirked as Katsuki went to kick his leg, smoothly moving out of the way.

Suddenly, Midoriya and Bakugou perked up, hopeful that maybe, maybe something about them won't change.

“Okay okay, definitely not that one, maybe Bakagou?” Midoriya Chesired grinned as Katsuki tried hitting his face this time. Midoriya chuckled before pausing with an idea.

Midoriya and Bakugou became disheartened, shoulders sagging in disappointment as they sink into their chairs. They wished that the other versions of them would use the childish nickname, however it seems even that will be different.

Meanwhile, their classmates continued to laugh and even got louder at the comedic nicknames.

“This Midoriya is so sassy! I’m loving it!” Midnight giggled lightly. Gaining a head shake from Aizawa.

The parents laughed and chuckled lightly, amused at the banter between their sons.

“Ooh! I got a good one, you’re going to love it,” Midoriya smirked again, getting in front of Katsuki and momentarily pausing their walk. He smiled, wide.

“Oh dear…” Midoriya mumbled, a nervous expression took over his face as he saw the fire lit up in the other hims’ eyes.

“Kat! KittyKat! Meow!” Midoriya smugly introduced while making cat paws with his hands.

“HAHAHA!!!” Kaminari and Mina full on belly-laughed, clutching their stomachs as they cried. Many others laughed and even Todoroki and Aizawa managed to give a small amused smirk.

“This is gold!” Hawks smirked, “now all he needs is an intern from the Wild Wild Pussycats!” He added, making more people chuckle.

Midoriya sweatdropped, and he slowly turned to see Bakugou beside him, shaking as he looks down. His face, ears, and neck a bright red as he clenches his fists. Midoriya chuckled nervously.

“K-Kacchan…that’s not actually me…” he pleaded, however those pleas fell on deaf ears as he saw Bakugou look up and give him the dirtiest, deadliest, angriest glare he’s seen in his life.

“I’m going. To fucking. MURDER YOU!”

“WAA-CHAN!!!!” Midoriya shrieked.

Katsuki’s eyes widened, Midoriya could sense the astonished and offended look under the helmet. Suddenly Katsuki’s face turned red and his hands balled into fists. Midoriya knew it was time to get out of his vicinity.

Katsuki tried getting to him, but Midoriya just laughed and ran from him, running in the direction they were going.

“That was hilarious!” Uraraka giggled. The class finally settling down

“Alright! While that was a funny sequence, we must now remain calm and measured for the remainder!” Iida lectured, gaining some replies in return and some eyerolls.

It took less time to get there, mainly due to the playful chase, and they quickly went back the way they originally exited. Katsuki helping to lift him up onto the roof.

When they made it to the fallen pillar, Midoriya looked down at the vacant mall below him to see all the greenery. The rich greenery reminded him of his mother, and he frowned. He looked at Katsuki, who was first to go on the pillar, and then he went.

“That’s so unstable, I can’t imagine my baby doing all of that,” Inko said faintly, white as a ghost.

Midoriya frowned at the mention of his mother, worry etched his face as he thought about other hims’ mother.

The two slowly balanced on the pillar, their arms spread out as they slowly shuffled down. Midoriya looked at the back of Katsuki’s head before he spoke.

“Hey when we’re done today…could we, maybe stop by the hoAA-”

The pillar suddenly gave out under them, giving them little time. Katsuki suddenly ran to the end of the pillar, quickly getting off and landing safely on the third floor. Midoriya however, stayed still, frozen in fear.

Everyone tensed as the scene unfolded. The parents gasped as did most of the students, the teachers and heroes tensed tightly, aching to help and save him. The villains got spooked, and tensed a little but were otherwise indifferent.

“Now’s the right time to use your quirk!” Endeavor said gruffily.

When the other side of the pillar finally landed securely on the other side of the third floor, the impact made Midoriya fall, one of his legs slipping off the structure and making him lose balance on his other leg.

Most of the students gasped in horror. Midoriya paled, he just found Kacchan only to die the next day!

“Problem child, you should use your quirk if it’s necessary,” Aizawa stressed, watching with wide eyes.

Midoriya stressed silently, gripping his pant legs tightly.

He doesn’t have a quirk to save him!

He yelled as he fell off, screaming in fear as he fell from the third story all the way down to the basement floor, that was flooded with the murky water.

He felt his vision, ears, and throat clog with water as his back stung from the impact. He struggled to move, clothing too heavy and items weighing him down. Despite his panicking however, he managed to find stability and swim upwards until he emerged.

Just as everyone had a pit in their stomach, that dread quickly morphed into relief when they saw he fell into the water. Inko collapsed into Mitsuki’s arms and the heroes relaxed slightly, still on edge.

“Oh! My baby!” Inko cried out breathily, seeing him struggle to swim up.

“He was so lucky there was deep enough water to save his fall,” Gran Torino grumbled.

Midoriya sank into his chair, and despite not even doing any exercising, he felt breathless. He almost watched himself, him, almost die in the same mall he was kidnapped in.

It feels almost surreal.

He gasped for air before coughing, in shock as he wiped the water out of his eyes and face. He quickly looked around as he breathed heavily, trying to find his companion. Then he looked up, where he spotted the blonde man looking over the railing.

“I can’t imagine what Bakugou must have been thinking,” Todoroki frowned.

“He probably thought the worst, considering this world doesn’t seem very kind,” Uraraka also frowned.

Toga felt irked, turning to the heroes with an angry expression. “Our world isn’t very kind either, you just don’t care about how it looks on the inside, since you heroes are in your own little world,” she scoffs, demeaning them with a snarl.

Uraraka furrowed her brows and opened her mouth to argue back, however she hesitated and decided to purse her lips together instead, keeping silent. She hasn’t seen much of hero life yet, as she’s still a first year. She doesn’t know how horrible things could get,

So she didn’t have much of a say.

The heroes, however, glared at her as she finished her comment. Full of hatred and anger.

“Says the murderer, If you’re so worried about how kind the world is, then maybe don’t murder innocent people and then heroes won’t have to step in,” Rocklock huffs, obvious judgment in his statement.

The villains scowled, and much like the heroes were quickly turning to anger.

“Everyone, focus! We’re watching an alternate universe, not discussing ours! pay attention,” Gran Torino yells, effectively shutting up everyone. However he couldn’t stop the glares that the villains and heroes sent to each other's way.

His breaths were still trying to catch up, however, he strained out a breathy reply. “I’m okay!” He yelled, splashing around in the water. If he looked closely, he could see his companions shoulders relax.

Then, they both heard the screeches and wailing groans of zombies. They both turned to the noise deeper within the mall, where the echoes were emitting from. Midoriya’s stomach turned as he realized just how much noise was made during that near death situation.

Some people stiffened as they heard the wails, and some cursed under their breath.

“Shit, he made too much noise,” Hawks grumbled, covering his mouth with his hand as he analyzed the scene, looking for any ways to get out of the situation.

“Midoriya’s in danger!” The students cried out, panicked. Midoriya became stressed once more for his alternate self.

The noise alerted the zombies that were still in the mall, and he knew they most certainly were coming his way. “Shit,” he breathy said as he splashed and swam towards the escalator that was next to him, hoping to survive whatever is coming.

As he climbed up the escalator, he could hear the noises getting louder. He fumbled with his leg pocket to grab the knife Katsuki gave him, before he jogged towards where he believed was the second story escalator.

His clothes slowed him down heavily, and it was hard to walk without making noise, something that was definitely hindering him. He looked behind him to see three zombies not far behind him.

Everyone tensed as they saw him struggle, and tensed even further when they saw the zombies charging towards him.

Midoriya grimaced as he saw his alternate self fish out the knife Kacchan had given him. Despite them being undead, he really did not want to see himself (even if it’s not technically him) kill someone.

He started panicking, running with all his might towards the second elevator despite the burn in his chest and the ache in his legs.

He flinched as he heard a gunshot and quickly took a peek behind him to see one out of the three fall to the ground. Then he looked up to see Katsuki, gun in hand, looking down the railing.

Everybody didn’t really flinch. The students didn’t really flinch as hard, mainly due to one of their teachers carrying a gun. The heroes and villains both are used to hearing or being near guns, so it didn’t bother them at all.

However they were all surprised to see it reveal Bakugou wielding the gun on the upper level.

The students gaped as they saw Bakugou in all his glory, holding the gun on the glass wall after shooting the zombie double dead.

Midoriya and Bakugou had their eyes wide, shocked.

Midoriya didn’t know how to feel. On one hand, he felt relieved and happy that Kacchan had come to his rescue. Happy that despite being in another universe, and not even knowing each other for more than a day, he still saved him. Still looked out for him, still took care of him. However, on another hand, he felt despair as he watched him shoot someone, despite being undead.

Bakugou however, felt like he couldn’t breathe.

He just killed someone.

He just killed someone.

Sure, it was someone who technically wasn’t dead, but…he didn’t know how to explain it but it was wrong. It wasn’t right. He shouldn’t kill people. He just saw himself kill someone.

His throat clogged, despite not even saying (or wanting to say) words. His breathing shortened, he gripped his crossed arms tightly, digging into his skin. He could feel the molten heat run through his body. He couldn’t help it, he was angry. Pissed off.

He felt a hand touch his arm, soothing however that didn’t have much of an effect. He looked to see Uraraka and Midoriya side-eyeing him with concern. He huffed, taking deep breaths to calm himself down.

He refuses to do this in front of so many people.

But he’ll take the silent support from the two.

He huffed as he looked to see he finally made it to the escalator. He struggled to climb up, drained despite the new adrenaline pumping through him.

He heard another gunshot, however as he turned around the last zombie had managed to get to the bottom of the escalator, climbing up faster than he can.

The students and parents gasped as they watched. Some flinching from the jumpscare of the zombie being so close.

His heart beat loudly in his ears as he collapsed at the top of the escalator, turning on his back as the zombie fell on top of him, aiming to bite. He yelled as he used all his might to push the zombie away.

Everyone (not including the villains) gasped as they watched. Midoriya and Bakugou’s hearts beating too loudly in their chests. Midoriya felt the panic in his chest, in his body. He felt like he was the one in trouble just watching.

“My baby!” Inko cried, tears finally spilling out as she watched her only baby struggle to survive. She covered her mouth as she cried. Midoriya looked at his mother with concern, aching to get up and comfort her.

Then another gunshot was heard and the zombie’s body went limp. He pushed it off and saw a hole going through the side of its head. He finally was able to take a breather as he looked up.

Instantly, everyone (not the villains–they felt a little dismayed) relaxed and gave a breath of relief. Inko continued to cry, just not out of fear anymore but out of relief and gratitude. Midoriya slumping into the chair, as if trying to fuse himself into it.

His hands were shaking, and for a brief second, he hated himself for that reaction. He wasn’t the one that was being attacked right now, he was sitting in a comfortable room. With his friends, with his mother, with heroes, yet he was the one shaken up about it. He glared at nothing, in his own thoughts as he grimaced.

He just decided to stay silent.

He saw Katsuki and they locked eyes. “Thanks KitKat!” Midoriya breathily shouted as he held his stomach. After he caught some of his breath, he walked up the escalator to meet back up with him.

“Well,” Midoriya huffed, “that went…not great. Zero out of ten, please never make me do something like that again,” he pleaded. Katsuki rolled his eyes before walking.

Some people gave weak chuckles, still a little fearful from the previous events.

Midoriya couldn’t help but frown at his alternate’s reaction. Here he was, shaken up at watching himself get attacked; meanwhile the one who actually got attacked was there making jokes and pretending it was nothing as if he hadn’t almost died.

“Why is other me acting like that?” he muttered.

However, he guesses he must’ve said it too loudly, as Iida looked at him confused.

“What do you mean, Midoriya?” he asked.

“I mean- why is he acting like…” he paused, before changing directions, “like, he’s making jokes as if he didn’t almost die. Why? Why is he acting like that?” Midoriya questioned, getting a little upset.

“Dearie,” Recovery Girl comforted, “it’s just his adrenaline talking. It may seem like he’s not making a big deal out of this, but some people have different reactions to trauma. You’ve heard of fight or flight, yes?”

He nodded silently.

“He may be you in another world, but he’s also his own person, which means he has different responses than you. Think of it this way, in your case, you would respond to fight. That’s because you’re trained to respond that way due to training to be a hero. In his case, he’s a normal civilian, they’re not trained to fight like you are, their only response is whatever works in their favor,” she explained.

“You must also take into account why he acts like this. He’s in a situation he can’t escape from, leaving him with only survival instincts that he doesn’t have. He’s making jokes to calm himself down, to avoid breaking down, in order to secure a better chance of survival, it’s the body's way to protect,” she ended.

“She’s right, he’s only like this because unlike you, he probably doesn’t deal well with stress as major as this. I’m sure once the adrenaline wears off, he won’t be able to sleep much like what we saw earlier,” Aizawa sighed.

Tsukauchi turned towards them, “Another addition is that they don’t have heroes in their world. In our world, civilians are used to having some form of adrenaline from the constant fights and battles in common areas. However their world doesn’t have that normalcy, so he’ll feel even more helpless in this case, as will any other survivors,” he added.

Midoriya frowned again, but not out of self-pity. He instead frowned in concern for his other self. “Ah…I see,” he just ended up muttering.

“What places are you thinking we raid? Clothe stores are probably a big thing we’ll need, and before we met I found a shoe store in here,” Midoriya asked before rambling.

Katsuki just handed him a piece of paper from his pocket.

‘Clothe stores, cosmetic stores, craft stores’

“Oh good! So he didn’t forget the shoes,” Hawks sighed happily, earning a smack from Miruko.

Mina scrunched her face up, “cosmetic stores? Why would he search makeup stores?”

“Cleaning supplies, cleansing supplies. Rubbing alcohol, wipes, remover, sanitizer, face cleansing,” Aizawa stated bluntly.

“Oh right!” She understood.

“It was an incredibly smart move on Bakugou’s part,” Endeavor stated.

Bakugou smirked to himself.

Cosmetic stores? ” Midoriya muttered before folding the paper and stuffing it in one of his pockets. They continued walking until they hit their first store, a clothing store.

He set his bag on the floor and unzipped it, ready to take anything until he noticed Bakugou writing on a piece of paper, backpack still on his back.

“Yes?” Midoriya asked as he waited for the paper. He gave it to him.

You fill your bag with as much clothes as you can, my bag will be for the smaller stuff until we get to your house.’

Midoriya nodded as he and Katsuki grabbed whatever they could. Shirts, pants, underwear, jackets, socks, gloves. They even put multiple shirts over their own clothes to fit more room in his backpack.

“You two are making really smart moves, that was quite clever to put layers on,” Mirio praised, looking behind him to nod at the two. The two shyly nod in return.

When they filled his bag to the brim, threatening to unzip, they ventured out to more stores. The second store they went into was the exact same shoe store Midoriya was in before meeting Katsuki.

“Here’s the store I mentioned,” Midoriya stated as he looked through the boxes and racks. “How should we take these?”

He turned around to see Katsuki taking a pair out of the box, shuffling the laces before tying them to his backpack straps. Now the pair were hanging off his backpack. He hummed before turning to do the same.

“Now they don’t need to worry about changing shoes all the time!” Uraraka cheered with a small smile.

“And they don’t need to make another trip back here for them,” Iida remarked, chopping his hands sporadically.

“How should we get out of here? The pillar isn’t of use anymore,” Midoriya small-talked as he tied more shoes to his straps.

“This is all crazy,” he continued, “like- this completely breaks what we know about science, and biology, and radiation…and everything. I know radiation could potentially mutate things, but like- I just can’t believe this,” Midoriya rambled.

The students giggled at his exasperated ramblings, fully amused as they watched the display. Midoriya chuckled as well, those more faintly as he was more embarrassed than anything. Bakugou on the other hand, scoffed and smacked Midoriya’s arm.

“Nerd,” Bakugou gave a small smirk as he snarked at him. Midoriya just huffed in return, giving a small smile.

He turned around to see Katsuki writing down on a piece of paper and he winced. “Sorry you have to keep writing stuff, maybe we should stop by a library at some point? Get some sign language books?” Midoriya suggested with a head tilt.

“I wonder how long it would take for other-me to learn it,”  Midoriya muttered as he pursed his lips. Other him would have to learn quickly in order to ensure survival for the both of them. He wondered how much people would learn when in survivalist situations.

“It will probably not take him as long as others, he’s a smart student and an avid learner,” Aizawa stated, “he’ll be able to learn it in no time.”

Midoriya made a small smile.

Katsuki nodded along before handing him the paper.

You had a way to get in here without my help right? We’ll go the way you did and from there go to your house.’

“Ah, alright,” Midoriya uttered as Katsuki sidestepped him to leave, with him following after.

After a few minutes, they found an otaku store. Midoriya went in before stopping to look behind him. Katsuki was just standing at the entrance with a questioning look.

“Typical,” his classmates deadpanned.

Midoriya’s face just flushed a deep red.

“What..? There’s always arts and craft things in these types of stores,” Midoriya stated as he went further into the store, Katsuki not far behind.

He looked through the aisles before finding a shelf with books and pens. He quickly made way for Katsuki to enter. He watched as Katsuki crouched down and examined all the sketchbooks with thoughtful eyes.

He selected a few books and a few pens before stuffing them in his bag. He jutted his head, signaling to leave as he put his bag back on.

“Alright, now…before we get there, I do have to mention. But…”

~

“I told you it was pretty unstable,” he deadpanned.

They made it to the broken in entrance he originally crawled through, and with the most unapologetic judgement, Katsuki stared at him, incredulous.

Many in the room chuckled at the expression on the other person's face. Feeling the same as they first saw the entryway.

“I had to get in here somehow…” Midoriya just ended up silently pouting. Katsuki just huffed as he shuffled into the car, both it and the wall creaking and groaning.

Midoriya went in next, shifting awkwardly to get above the glovebox and out the other side. When he made it through, he paused as he overlooked the parking lot again.

The piles of bodies seemed to stay the same, nothing seemed to move while he was gone.

Midoriya sighed in relief as he saw everything was the same as other-him left him. He was worried about if those were dead bodies or turning zombies, and he was glad it was just normal dead bodies.

He tried not to think about how horrible that thought is.

He couldn’t tell if he should be thankful for that, or not.

He grimaced. He just had those same thoughts.

Seems like he really is just another version of himself.

“Now we have to walk all the way back to your base to drop this all off,” Midoriya heaved as they started walking in the opposite direction of his house.

The walk was silent, apart from Midoriya’s constant chatter. Once their bags are empty, it would feel like heaven again on his shoulders.

He struggled to not look down at all the bodies he was passing. They were finally walking towards his house after dropping all the loot off, and he forgot just how much death was coating the streets. He knew Katsuki was on guard too.

Both Midoriya and Bakugou grimaced, hunching their shoulders as they tensely watched. Everyone looked equally uncomfortable at how much bodies were caking their streets. They knew they’d better get more desensitized while watching, otherwise they’ll have a difficult time watching the rest of this, and it seems they won’t be leaving anytime soon.

They also felt like they had to, not for any particular reason. They just felt like they owed it to their other versions, as that is their reality.

When they passed the gas station, it looked worse than when he first got there. He turned around and started backwards walking, looking at Katsuki as he stared at the place.

“Won’t find much in there, someone already took most of it and I tried taking the rest,” he stated. Katsuki looked back at him and squinted his eyes. Midoriya just turned back around.

~

“Before we go in, there’s some zombies in both my neighbors houses,” Midoriya mentioned. Katsuki looked at him, brows furrowed. “I was wondering if you could…y’know,” Midoriya slowly cut off.

Without warning, everyone's stomachs dropped. The Midoriyas’ and Bakugous’ paled, their hearts hammering in their chests. Everyone's eyes widened at the implication of his request.

“Is…Is he asking Bakugou to…shoot them?” Kirishima hesitated, a little airless as he looked at his peers. Some students bit their bottom lips, unsure of what to say.

Midoriya just stared, horrified and mouth agape. He clenched his fists as he just continued to stare at the paused screen.

He just told Kacchan to shoot someone.

He just asked Kacchan to finish someone off.

He felt like he couldn’t breathe, he felt ashamed. It wasn’t even him, it wasn’t even his mouth that asked for it, and yet it felt like he betrayed Kacchan in more ways than one. He couldn’t hear anyone else, he could only stare at the screen and turn to Kacchan sitting next to him, frozen still.

Bakugou wasn’t feeling much better either. He too couldn’t breathe, all the breath felt stuck in his chest. His hearing blurred, and he didn’t see anything, he could only hear the words playing through his head. He felt his hands grip tightly on his arms.

He’s a hero. He’s supposed to be a hero. Sure, he saw other-him kill those other zombies, but that was to protect Deku. But this is different, he’s about to kill Recovery Girl. He’s about to kill Gran Torino. They’re not harming anyone in their own house.

Deku just asked him to kill his neighbors.

He felt panic spike, and to keep it hidden he gripped his arms tighter. Almost digging his fingers into his skin. His feelings felt quite different now that he doesn’t have his quirk at the moment, it almost feels less suffocating if it wasn’t about him ending peoples undead lives.

Aizawa was watching the two carefully, both waiting to prevent a fight and to help them relax.

The heroes thought a little differently, mainly because they don’t exactly know some of the students on a personal or school level. Some nodded solemnly, accepting what some of them thought was a small mercy.

Meanwhile, the villains were quite in shock. They knew these were completely different people despite looking like the little heroes, however seeing the golden boy ask the other golden boy to shoot someone was astonishing. They didn’t expect any change in their morality or ethics, but it seems this ‘movie’ was going to surprise them.

They were quite excited about that.

“It’s just…one’s a nurse and although I doubt morality and ethics suit an apocalypse, I doubt even in the afterlife- semi-afterlife? She wouldn’t wish to kill people,” Midoriya rambled until he heard the click of a gun.

Recovery Girl made a sad smile, feeling crestfallen at what other-Midoriya said. Despite others in the room mourning her, she felt a little respect for on-screen Midoriya. Despite being in a horrifying situation, he still thought of the oath she took and wanted to respect it. She couldn’t help but feel a softness for the boy.

“Oh dearie, you don’t have to worry about my oath when in a tough situation like this, but I’m still thankful that you did,” she cooed, turning to their Midoriya sitting down in his chair, white as a sheet. He merely just nodded blankly in return, still reeling from his previous statements.

In fact, he’s reeling about what he just stated.

‘I doubt mortality and ethics suit an apocalypse.’

It made his stomach sink into an empty pit, made his hands clammy, and made him want to gasp like he just witnessed something scandalous. Hell, he practically just did! He just watched another version of himself admit that he’ll basically throw away his ethics because of his situation!

What would this other version of himself do? Would he steal? Rob from other survivors if it comes down to it? Would he hurt other survivors? Kacchan has guns, would he also get one? Would he shoot zombies?

Would he shoot other survivors?

He felt like throwing up just at the thought of doing so. Would he have to watch it?

This ‘movie’ just continues to surprise them. They thought the golden boy asking the other one to shoot his neighbors was a shock, but it turns out they’re in for many surprises. It felt weird, as the villains (mainly Shigaraki) have been egging to see a darker side to the golden boy.

Now they can see this other version has different opinions, but it doesn’t feel like a victory. They (Shigaraki) need to hear it from the golden boy, from their universe. It doesn’t feel like a victory but more like a participation trophy.

They know now that Midoriya can have a darker side, but it wasn’t golden boy who said it.

Shigaraki just scratched his neck in frustration.

He looked back to see Katsuki wielding a gun in his hand, using two fingers to point out which house. Midoriya blinked, taken aback that he agreed to this.

“Ah- Oh, she’s uh, she’s in that house,” he stammered as he pointed at a small one story home. Katsuki nodded as he walked towards the front door. Midoriya just stood in the walkway, waiting nervously.

Everyone tensed as they saw him brandish the gun and go into the house. They all knew what was about to happen, and the students desperately didn’t wish for it to go that route. Bakugou was taking it the hardest, he could pass as a full on statue for how frozen stiff he was in his chair.

Midoriya didn’t know how to comfort him. He thought of taking his hand, but thought otherwise.

He watched as Katsuki opened the door and left his vision as he ventured further in. He heard the loud screeching of his turned neighbor before the sound of a gunshot rang out. He flinched as he heard another gunshot before complete silence filled the air.

The students flinched at those gunshots, despite knowing beforehand he would shoot it. It was dead silent in the room, villains unbothered, heroes grimacing, the parents and teachers staring in horror, and the students were shaking in their seats.

“Kacchan…” Midoriya tried uttering softly.

“Shut it.” he reprimanded harshly.

If the room was cold, Bakugou could pass for it. He was shivering violently, his chest constricting as he made quick-paced breaths. His head was now facing completely downwards, glaring a hole straight through the middle of the chair. His arms were sure to bruise with how harshly he’s gripping them now.

He felt like he couldn’t breathe. He felt like he shouldn’t be making a big deal out of this, yet he feels hot, raging hot.

He shouldn’t be feeling so…

So weak right now.

This is another hims’ life, he shouldn’t feel like it’s actually him in this position. So why does he feel like it is?

All Might watched from a little ways away in the middle row, secretly eyeing the way young Bakugou is silently simmering. He sighed in disappointment, not because of Bakugou, but because of himself. He should be helping him right now instead of sitting here watching everything break out.

But he knew that if he tried talking to the boy now, he’d only embarrass the boy, and he’s already going through enough emotions in one sitting.

“I’ll speak to the boy during our break, perhaps telling him it’s okay might make him feel better,” he said in a hushed voice to Nedzu, who was comfortably nuzzled in his lap.

“Hmm, although he does need comfort, I think Aizawa is more qualified to do so, you should leave the talking to him,” Nedzu just states bluntly as he carried on watching the paused screen. All Might blinked before chuckling lightheartedly, not testifying against his statement.

“Ah, I agree, my friend,” he said before leaving it at that.

He let out a shaky breath as he tried to calm himself down. Katsuki came out of the house, uninjured and still branding his gun. He stared for a few moments at him, assessing him before signing swiftly.

( You didn’t say there was two)

The room became that dreadful silence once more, and now it was Midoriya’s time to have an inside panic. He flinched at that reminder, face paling and the pit in his stomach going deeper. A dreadful foreboding approaching.

No.

No.

Katsuki just grimaced under his mask at the confused face Midoriya made. He then did the gesture again, followed by a monster imitation, then pointing to the door. Midoriya then quickly understood.

He left Torino.

He can’t believe it.

He left Torino in there bleeding out from his throat.

He completely forgot about him!

Torino turned.

He left him to die.

He couldn’t save him.

He left him for dead!

“I-” Midoriya tried speaking, but he couldn’t find the words. His throat clogged up, and in shame, he looked down at the ground, balling his fists up. “I…forgot,” he uttered out silently.

Midoriya was gripping his seat, mouth agape and face stricken with horror and pain. His other mentor is dead! Undead! Because of him! He couldn’t save him!

He felt ashamed, he knew it wasn’t technically him that did it, but how can he not blame himself when this other person wears his face! Shares his mother! His ambition!

All Might looked at his boy with concern. Nedzu looked as he analyzed before once again turning towards the screen.

“Seems like Aizawa will be making two conversations during the break we get,” he absentmindedly spoke.

All Might sighed, “it appears so.”

Katsuki’s eyes softened before he smacked him upside the head. Midoriya snapped out of it and rubbing the smacked spot. The two then went to the other neighbors house, once again ending their undead life with the sound of a bullet before going to his home.

“Alright, here’s my place,” he said before opening the door and walking in. He went straight to his supplies, taking everything out and looking at Katsuki, whose eyes went wide. “Knock yourself out, I’m going to grab a few things from here before we leave,” he said before venturing further into his home.

He first went back to his room, grabbing more notebooks, pencils, and erasures. Then he grabbed his hoodies and shirts, once again layering them to have more space.

Then he went to his moms room, taking in the dusty room. He walked around before taking a necklace from her jewelry dish, her favorite one, a silver necklace with the number ‘9’. She always said it’s his lucky number.

“Number nine huh? Ironic,” Bakugou snarked, a little calmer now, earning a surprised flinch from Midoriya as he turned to look at him. Midoriya just awkwardly chuckled as he flushed in embarrassment, understanding the insinuation of his words. A little inside joke for people who know about One for All.

“Yeah hehe…quite the coincidence,” Midoriya stammered, scratching his cheek. “Seems like some things really aren’t that different,” he considered.

“What’s so ironic about the number nine?” Iida asked, making Midoriya flinch and nervously wave his arms around. Bakugou just rolled his eyes.

“Umm! It’s just…that's my lucky number too!” Midoriya ended up giving it as an excuse. Iida hummed in acknowledgment before pushing his glasses up.

“I see, it seems alternate universes are quite complex, making the same people have different personalities and backgrounds yet be as nitpicky as to give them the same features, outstanding,” Iida concluded, making Midoriya relax.

Then he took a framed photo of them together from years ago. Looking at it a little before stuffing it in his bag. He grabbed a few of her clothes and more pictures before leaving. Shutting the door behind him as he walked back to the kitchen.

Midoriya frowned as he thought of this other hims’ mom. He can’t imagine what he’d do without his mother, and to lose her out of sight comes from his worst nightmares.

Katsuki then came in front of him, tilting his head to the hallway. He turned back before giving him a questioning look. “What? There’s not much…” he tried saying.

Katsuki just bypassed him and headed to the bathroom, Midoriya following after him when the door remained open. He looked as Katsuki grabbed the soap from the sink and tub and stuffed them in his bag.

“That’s important, I’m surprised he thought of that,” Recovery Girl remarked. “Not many people think to grab soap, he truly is quite the survivalist in this universe.”

“Oh…right, yeah that’s- that’s important,” Midoriya said, watching as Katsuki continued to raid his bathroom. He grabbed soap, practically everything from the cabinets, and even towels.

A few chuckled lightly to themselves as they watched his house get practically raided by someone.

“He’s really determined to ransack everything,” Kendou noted.

“Well, it makes sense, you don’t want to risk your life taking multiple trips and you want to be prepared for any possible outcome,” Hawks informed. “It’s better to take everything for later than wait to grab it when you need it.”

She nodded.

When they entered the living room, he noticed Katsuki also took leverage to ransack everything in his vicinity. Remembering the necklace he grabbed, he turned towards Katsuki as he got ready to leave.

“Hey, maybe tomorrow, could we check the hospital? In Hosu? I wanted to look for someone…who was there,” Midoriya asked.

That sprung some alarm in people.

“Hosu? That’s an extremely densely populated area,” Miruko gave her concern.

“And a hospital? They must have been pushing tons to get in there, if any place in Hosu is packed, it has to be the hospital,” Hawks also gave his concerns.

“Not to mention Midoriya in this universe does not have any physical training. He can’t run for extended periods, he has no body weight and no muscles to climb or lift or attack, and he freezes up when attacked, this could go all wrong!” Present Mic shouted.

Midoriya hunched in his seat as the heroes debated on other-him’s request. He felt slightly disheartened at hearing the heroes had no faith in this Midoriya to survive, despite knowing this whole trip is specifically for his mom.

“Oh Izuku my baby! Don’t risk your life trying to find me! You need to focus on yourself!” Inko cried out, her eyes watering.

Midoriya suddenly stood up from his chair, “no mom! In this universe you’re all I have! Of course I’m going to search for you! And even if I had others I would still go after you! You're my mom! So please don’t say that!” he shouted, tears now welling in his eyes as he sat back down.

“I agree that he should go to Hosu,” Aizawa said, shocking everyone.

“Shou..?” Present Mic questioned, his facial expression unreadable, as is Aizawa’s.

“If he doesn’t go, it will eat at him. He won’t stop thinking about it and if it escalates he might go on his own, or worse. He has protection now, he can use that. If he doesn’t go, who knows what he might do,” Aizawa refused to look at Hizashi during that statement, knowing just how familiar it felt to the two of them.

“Besides, It’ll benefit both of them in the long run, Bakugou might not have been able to go to Hosu, but now he has an extra pair of eyes. And since they're going to a hospital, they can take a lot of medical equipment back with them. It’ll be successful if they work together, and I’m sure they will,” he finished.

Nedzu then pipped in, “I couldn’t agree more! Despite how dangerous it may seem, it’s going to be dangerous no matter where they are! It’s better to get over the hardships and obstacles first than having a hard time later.”

“I also agree,” Spinner surprisingly stated as he raised his hand. “Although my words may not mean much, but they have the opportunity to do it now, I think they should go for it.”

Everyone was left to simmer in their thoughts on the matter.

Katsuki looked to be in thought before he looked at him and nodded a yes. Midoriya felt his shoulders relax, relieved at the answer. Katsuki took a piece of paper and wrote something.

We will rest up until tomorrow, then we’ll start our walk there. It’ll be a long way if it’s Hosu, so we’d need to pack beforehand.’

The heroes and villains nodded in agreement. A solid plan for what basically is an expedition.

“Okay,” Midoriya agreed. They then got ready and left, closing the door behind them.

“Do you think there’s any survivors like us?” Midoriya asked, trying to interrupt the silence. Katsuki shrugged nonchalantly.

“I sure hope our other versions do meet other survivors,” Midoriya muttered as he played with his fingers.

“Well, we know Shiozaki is making an appearance, we just don’t know when,” Kendou reassured.

“And judging by the people here, which the box said have connections to said people making appearances, I’m guessing there will be at least one pro hero,” Hawks deducted.

“And one villain as well,” Dabi gave an evil smile.

“True, but remember, heroes aren’t a thing in this universe,” Mirio stated.

“Tch, that doesn't mean burglars don’t exist. Or murderers. They still have a law and order dumbass,” Dabi countered.

“But most of you became villains because of heroes, yes?” Tsukauchi questioned. “That means you wouldn’t be villains or lawbreakers.”

Dabi just rolled his eyes, “well, doesn’t matter, just saying it’s a possibility,” he shrugged.

“Who do we think the hero would be?” Miruko teased as she smirked.

“No idea, there’s many different heroes in this building so…could be anyone I suppose, not me though,” Gran Torino said.

“Hmm, It’d probably be a miracle to survive if you’re not prepared, we’re still not sure why I survived- or surviving either. But, I hope there are survivors out there,” Midoriya rambled.

“But hey! Besides that, it’s better to not be alone! You’re stuck with me KitKat!” Midoriya smiled. Katsuki rolled his eyes and smacked the back of his head, making Midoriya chuckle.

Midoriya gave a small smile at seeing them play and banter.

Bakugou scoffed, “he’s really going to continue with that stupid nickname the entire time,” he grumbled.

“It is a little silly,” Midoriya agreed, but on the inside, he was quite happy.

“You’ll have to teach me everything you know! I’ll be in your care from now on KitKat!” Midoriya bowed with a bright smile.

“Seems like he is,” Midoriya smile nervously.

Bakugou ‘tch’ed’, “great…”

Secretly though, he liked Kacchan better.

Katsuki once again, rolled his eyes before walking once again.

“Okay! Now, what’s my first lesson?” Midoriya asked, eager.

“Always wanting to learn,” All Might chuckled to himself.

He heard Katsuki huff out in amusement.

As they walked through the neighborhood,

Katsuki taught him what he could without words.

And Midoriya listened, soaking it in like a sponge.

He was nervous for tomorrow.

And that’s all he thought of.

END CHAPTER 2

It was silent for a while, everybody just deep in thought or processing everything they’ve seen.

“Well, it seems like the next part will be them going to Hosu,” Tsukauchi noted. Everyone turned to him as he spoke.

“And then after that we get our break, right?” Mina asked tentatively. Tsukauchi nodded, and she gave a breath of relief and sank into her chair.

“Good! I think I speak for everyone that we need a break,” she joked.

“I wouldn’t get too comfortable, the next part will probably be quite intense. Hosu is a big city, and the fact that they're going to a hospital, it will definitely be packed with zombies,” he informed.

“And he can only rely on Bakugou, he’s just one man against hundreds," Endeavor stated.

The students looked at each other in worry. Some quite tense for what’s to come. Midoriya fidgeted, worried about many things all at once, about other-him, and Kacchan, about his mom.

“But if things get bad, they can just use their quirks,” Todoroki argued. Some students also agreed with it.

“But that will only put them in more danger, kid,” Gran Torino said. However, Todoroki just shook his head.

“No, it would get them away, they can both get to the hospital with no struggle and get out,” he continued.

“Yeah! I haven’t seen them use their quirks at all! Even when Midoriya was calling for help for Gran Torino in the first part!” Uraraka spoke, which earned some thoughtful faces.

“That…is weird,” All Might coughed, not at all suspicious. Mirio, who sat near him, just lightly chuckled.

“Maybe they don’t have quirks?”

Everyone turned to Monoma, who was just slouched sassily in his seat. The class 1-A students gave him confused and almost stupid looks, and he scoffed at them.

“What? There was a point in time in our world that we didn’t have quirks, or did you all forget that in history class?” He smirked, tilting his head in question at some of the dumbfounded looks they gave him.

“He’s not wrong, we should ask,” Toga said.

Aizawa sighed.

“Question box.”

The box appeared in front of his face, and truthfully, it was the most useful thing they have at the

moment.

“Does this world have quirks?”

Ding!

No, this world does not have quirks.

“Well, that answers that question,” Aizawa huffed. Everyone blanked at the answer, and the heroes looked grim.

“Isn’t that more of a reason they shouldn’t go?” Endeavor snarked, and a few people nodded their heads.

“Quirkless doesn’t mean helpless,” Aizawa glared at the man. Midoriya looked startled at his reply, and really looked at his teacher thoughtfully. Eventually, he gave a small smile to himself.

“I agree,” to no surprise, it was All Might who said this, “everyone is quirkless in this world. They’re more than capable,” he finished.

Midoriya couldn’t help but think his statement was a little hypocritical considering how they met, but he couldn’t blame the man. Their world is much more powerful, he’s faced people so much stronger and overpowered than him and sometimes he knew he wouldn’t win alone in those situations.

He could understand where his mentor was coming from. When they met, he was scrawny, little, and had no muscles. He never trained, or thought of training so it was quite an obvious choice to not delude a child into thinking he could be a hero when he in fact, at the time, could not.

At the time he was crushed, but now he understands a little better. This world has no quirks, so they have to rely on sheer strength, strategy, and numbers.

And he has no doubts that they'll succeed.

“Let’s finish watching, then we can all have the break they promised,” Tsukauchi sighed. Everyone soon quieted down, some prepared while others not.

Nonetheless, they were ready.
