Chapter Text

here are some goofy headcannons for some characters (am also writing this in the middle of the night so srry for mistakes)
this is gonna get long fr fr

(update: fixes some bullet points since my sleepy self forgor to put them on some of the hcs)

Sword:
• Spends a lot of his extra time with Rocket. They also go on small food dates (neither of them are aware of said dating)
• Has a schedule for training sessions so that he can be somewhat organized (he’s kinda messy)
•Has a niche/unique sense of fashion. He’d be rocking piercings but he’d also be rocking formal wear at the same time
• Wanted to get some cool tattoos once but he decided not to
• Has a soft spot for plushies since they remind him of Rocket
• He definitely sees Venomshank as his father figure. • He can’t imagine a better father because he’s already the best!!!! <3
• Familiar with the SFOTH swords, but some more than others (ex: he knows who Darkheart is but isn’t all that familiar with Illumina)
• Has a matching keychain with Rocket

Skateboard:
• Energy drink guy 100% and he somehow doesn’t become hyper after drinking several of them
• Frequently visits the ROBLOX Mall for the latest skateboarder news (or just to buy/advertise skateboards)
• Refuses to use any other method of transportation besides his skateboard unless he really has to
• Has done graffiti on walls and has gotten caught before
• Gaming buddies with Slingshot

Biograft:
• The Biografts can have different personalities, but Subspace tries to prevent them from deviating too much
• The Biograft we know is one of Subspace’s favorites despite not being the strongest one
• More like a rabid dog really (*aggressively growls at random civilians*)
• Sometimes wonders what the outside world is like, but is more focused on orders to worry about that
• Has attempted to slice Hyperlaser before, but he was reprogrammed to not slash his coworkers

Katana:
• Tea enjoyer 100%
• There’s also a small part of me who thinks he’d drink sake, but he’s probably perfected the art of alcohol abstinence too well to drink
• Doesn’t mind the company of the rest of the Thieve’s Den, but finds them a bit childish
• On that note, he thinks Playground is way too childish and isn’t too fond of it (but he doesn’t judge)
• It’s almost impossible to make him angry though normal means, he’s that chill
• Eats a lot to replenish energy since he trains every day and refuses to take breaks

Rocket:
• Plush collector, he really loves plushies (or just soft stuff in general)
• A bit of a foodie, loves snacking on stuff when he’s bored
• He makes his own Father’s Day card for Zuka every year
• Wanted Zuka to also get prosthetics like he has, but Zuka denied and said that it would be pointless since he’s not out there phighting anyways
• Broker genuinely gives him the chills and he doesn’t know why. He just gets this ‘off’ feeling about him
• Sometimes asks Zuka for tips and tricks, but he isn’t outright trained by him (he’s mostly self-taught and made his own techniques for phighting using those tips)
• Has a photo album that mostly contains pictures of himself, Sword, and Zuka

Slingshot:
• A gamer at heart, has a good gaming set up to
• He jokingly nicknamed Skateboard “skatesboy” and now teases him with that name
• Doesn’t see himself as masculine or feminine, just as himself and nothing else
• He’s not afraid to wear a dress or put on makeup
• Has a collection of shoes to fit whatever occasion (parties? party shoes! formal? formal shoes! you name it!)
• Plays basketball with Skateboard or by himself sometimes
• Cleans his shoes often and looks at the ground just to make sure some rando didn’t spit out their gum on the floor (gross)

Hyperlaser:
• Coffee enjoyer 100%
• The only people who have seen his face under the helmet are Medkit and Subspace
• Secretly a sore loser, but tries to keep his cool with breathing exercises
• Likes some Biografts more than others. He uses the one’s he dislikes the most are used as target practice
• Doesn’t view Subspace as a guy who’s above him, he’s just there to do his job and sleep
• He’s wakes up early and he hates it cause he sleeps late all the time
• Subconscious about his appearance and refuses to mention anything about his face
• Puts on cologne to make himself feel a bit better
• Doesn’t mind his job as a mercenary but sometimes wishes that his life could’ve been more peaceful
• Has a bit of admiration for Katana, but Katana is unaware of Hyperlaser’s existence beyond phights

Medkit:
• Another tea enjoyer 100%
• He once thought about wearing an eyepatch, but thought it looked stupid for daily use
• He might find Boombox more annoying, but he still enjoys his company. Though, Boombox wouldn’t be his first choice for any sort of personal talk
• Has told Sword about his past. Sword accepts him and values him not just as a medic, but as a person
• The guy who patched up Hyperlaser’s face. They never really talked after that
• Constantly stresses/tired and ironically has bad health himself
• He may not be an actual doctor, but he sure does have that doctor’s handwriting! (Sword would stare at Medkit’s grocery list and be really confused)
• Direct and might accidentally hurt your feeling from how straightforward he is (he still apologizes in the end)
• Hasn’t experimented with the energy source since… a certain incident… but tries to use its healing capabilities to the fullest

Boombox:
• He talks loudly all the time cause he got too used to the loudness of his boombox
• A sleeptalker
• Enjoys being the DJ for several parties
• He’s helped Valk and Dom with their music before
• Has bad vision, so he wears the visors to help with that
• Wishes that he could be taller, but he can’t really do that (no, we aren’t doing surgery!)
• Taco guy… he likes a good taco
• Has made his own tunes before but never releases them to the public
• Sees Medkit as one of his good friends and rambles on and on about random topics
• Likes the beach

Subspace:
• He takes no breaks and always experiments with the energy source
• There’s a part of him that regrets doing what he did to Medkit… but those are bygone times! He’s not letting a little pinch of regret stop him from what he wants to do
• A really good chemists who’s familiar with every element/chemical compound (and he’s proud of that)
• Thinks water is the best drink (water enjoyer 100%)
• He views the Biografts as his 2nd pride and joy, but also thinks that they’re a bit dumb
• Mocks Hyperlaser sometimes
• Unfamiliar with slang and takes some things literally
• Sadistic, and he knows it
• His eye is not missing, just covered as a way to mock Medkit
• Not good at keeping relationships and often pushes people away when he’s down

more HCs yipee!!
also, not all the swords are here bc i either dont know abt their personality or just dont have solid HCs for them yet

Zuka:
• Somewhat familiar with Venomshank because of Sword and Darkheart but hasn't interacted with him all that much (respects him for being a good father tho)
• Smokes and drinks sometimes, but will never do it in front of Rocket in fear that he'll be influenced by his poor decision making
• A decent cook but prefers takeout since cooking is stressful to him
• Misses the thrill of phighting, but he also likes how his life has calmed down somewhat with Rocket. He just wants the best for his future
• Would be the type to drink decaf coffee and chamomile tea if he's in the mood for it. He's not that energetic anymore to begin with and doesn't feel the need to drink anything that's caffeinated like energy drinks or sodas (on that note, he dislikes drinking sodas)
• Has told some short stories about his past to Sword and Rocket for the fun of it (never the dark stuff, just those silly moments in his life)
• Is neutral about Broker but does notice how Rocket gets nervous around him and doesn't usually bring him along if he wants to talk to Broker
• Hasn't talked to Darkheart normally in years. If they do interact, it's mostly regarding business and such
• Would enjoy gardening but feels that it's too high maintenance for him to do so (he also thinks that Rocket would accidentally blow up the plants if he did)

Broker:
• Neurodivergent
• Is actually a really good businessman who could list off several marketing strategies off the top of his head
• Relatively well off money wise but chooses to live a more minimal lifestyle
• Thinks Zuka and Rocket are his besties and doesn't know that they don't reciprocate his affection (it'll break his heart if he finds out!!)
• A prankster in person and online
• For the love of everything, don't give this silly man caffeine!!! He will be hyper all day and be extra annoying to everyone
• Would be the type to play card games with strangers and win (may have rigged a few games but shhhhhhh they dont need to know that)
• Hums random tunes often, his singing voice is kinda cute (assuming you find the constant spew of voice cracks cute)

Venomshank:
• Morning person
• A surprisingly good cook. He cooks healthy, hearty meals for Sword so that he can replenish his energy after training or after phighting
• Loves birds, and when I say love, I mean he REALLY adores them (a certified bird person)
• Treats his undead army with kindness (even if they are undead, they deserve some love to!!!)
• Wears the mask to appear even more intimidating, but also wears it so that people don't keep asking questions about his .w. face (Darkheart jokingly called it cute and he's all like "thanks, youll never see it again")
• Hopes that he can one day pass on some more advance techniques onto sword in case anything happens, but for now goes with intermediate training
• Likes a good pastry every once in a while
• Close with Darkheart and feels that he's one of the few people he can be emotionally vulnerable with
• Might have some scars under his uniform from previous battles
• Cursive handwriting? yeessss

Darkheart:
• Night person
• He knows all the latest slang words and will say them just to make you visibly cringe
• Swapped hats with Venomshank for fun while he was a sleep and does steal his hat periodically
• Teases Sword a lot to, especially when he's in the middle of some solo training. Sword doesn't appreciate it in the slightest
• His right hand has some really sharp claws and it scares the hell out of civilians
• A bit of a sadist to, but he's not gonna be mean to everyone!! He has his standards
• Also defaults to cursive handwriting but it's not nearly as nice as Venomshank's
• Very sarcastic and hardly takes things seriously, really cryptic to
• A dealmaker, but let's just say that his deals can have... consequences
