The Sun and Moon

Summary:

Sun recently moved into the Pizzaplex.

Chapter 1: The Sun meets The Moon

Chapter Text

A woman lead a sun animatronic through the halls,

"Moondrop is a little hostile, but they won't hurt you." She said, Sun grew nervous by these words. If this animatronic was dangerous, why were they still in commission if they were hostile? Did they attack people? Even children?! Sun must protect them if that's the case!

"Here's the daycare." She said

"Thanks Ms. Vanessa! I'll take it from here, I'm sure Moondrop will show me around after this." Sun forced a smile, he was trying to protect Ms. Vanessa, hopefully she would take the hint?

"Okay? Have fun. Again, don't be afraid, they can smell fear." Vanessa said as she gave a playful smirk and then walked off with a laugh.

Sun blinked, feeling very exposed. He took a deep breath and started flapping his hands to relieve the anxiety. When that didn't work, he just quickly knocked on the door and closed his eyes tightly, prepared for the worst to come out the door. The door creaked open,

"Ugh, they need to fix these doors, kids wake up so easily with the-!" The annoyed voice quickly silenced, Sun opened one eye slowly to reveal a white and black moon animatronic. Blue pants with a star pattern on them and shoes with bells on the tips, red ribbons on their wrists with matching bells as the shoes.

The moon animatronic seemed to be in a daze, one blue and one red eye staring at him in a wide gaze. Sun realized that both him and Moondrop had both different colored eyes, while Moondrop had blue and red, Sun had blue and gold eyes.

It felt like a solid minute that they started at each other, taking in the other's features. Until Sun gave a wave, snapping Moondrop out of their daze as they backed away.

"Heya! I'm Sunrise! But just call me Sun!" Sun said, his previous worries flying out the window, but just like that, they came back as Moondrop glared.

"Of course." They muttered, Sun didn't quite catch the rest of the mutters but Moondrop straightened up quickly, "I'm Moondrop, you will address me as Moondrop, not Moon or Moony or whatever the heck you do with nicknames." They hisssed, Sun just smiled and waved a hand.

"Of course! If you don't want a nickname, you didn't have to have one!" Sun said, not fully grasping why Moondrop was so mad at the idea of a nickname, but he shrugged it off.

"Do you mind showing me around?" Sun asked, Moondrop shrugged

"C'mon, I'll show you..." Moondrop sighed as they opened the daycare doors wider to Sun, who stared in wonder at the gigantic area with rainbow colors. Sun raced in, flying by Moondrop, who just watched with apathetic eyes but they widened as Sun knocked over some barrels.

"Oh no no no! What a mess! Clean up, clean up!"

"Rrrgh... Clean up. Clean up!"

The two then diligently worked on picking up the barrels, both looked to the final one and both reached for it, their hands touched, but their programming didn't recognize this as they both placed it on top of the other barrels.

"Much better." They said in unison, then realized that they were touchin each other's hands, Moondrop jerked away, Sun held back a whine at the loss of comfort.

"I'll show you where you'll charge." Moondrop said, pulling Sun to his feet and dragging him up the stairs to their rooms, "Yours is on the right, I'll be right across the hall." They said, then disappeared into the room.

Sun nodded, "Thank you." He said to no one, since Moondrop was already gone. Sun sighed and opened the door to his room, which was already decorated to Sun's tastes, he giggled gleefully and landed on the bed with striped covers. He felt a soft blanket at the end of the bed and started to mess around with it with his feet. It was too heavy to be a normal blanket and so he sat up to see a plushie also at the end of the bed.

He picked it up when a lavender scent hit his nose, he cuddled it close and picked the blanket up, curling around it. It was a weighted blanket! He giggled happily and then saw a tag on the moon shaped plushie, he looked to it and saw this:

I heard from the higher ups that you sometimez get overwhelmed in new environments, so I got you thesse.

- Moondrop

Sun smiled, so there was a chance that Moondrop would like him.
