Kazuma Kiryu made his way down the streets of Kamurocho. He had had a week full of shenanigans mostly because of his dearly beloved rival, Goro Majima. The older man had grown a certain obsession with fighting Kiryu which he didn’t mind at first, but now it was getting old and tiring. Yet he just couldn’t say no to him. Seeing Majima’s unhinged grin of satisfaction made Kiryu happy in a way.
As Kiryu was lost in his thoughts while walking, he didn’t notice a suspicious trash can ahead of him. He heard odd noises coming from it which brought him back on earth. The man soon recognized the noises as Majima’s giddy chuckles. He couldn’t help it as an audible ‘huh?’ left his lips. He stopped in his tracks to observe the metal trash can. The lid suddenly came off as Majima revealed himself. There was a cheeky grin on his beautiful face as he got out from the trash can.
“I’ve got ya now, Kiryu-chan!” The older man laughed as he jumped out.
A heavy sigh escaped Kiryu’s lips. He took a step back as he brought his fists up defensively. He had given up on trying to persuade him out of the fighting. Majima’s nut brown eye sparkled with glee as he got ready to fight.
Majima wasted no time and ran straight towards Kiryu while his grin widened. He winded his fist up as he prepared to throw a punch at Kiryu. But the man brought his hands in front of his face in a cross-like manner to protect his face from the blow. Majima had already launched his punch and was too late to switch his style. As his fist flew just above Kiryu’s arms, he realized he made a mistake. The younger man brought his hands together, trapping Majima’s arm in his. He proceeded to pull Majima closer just to let go of him and kick away with force.
The older man yelled as he flew backwards. His back hit the ground with a loud grunt coming from the man. Kiryu clenched his fist as he made his way towards Majima. Before he could reach him, Majima rolled to his stomach and pushed himself to his feet. Kiryu furrowed his eyebrows and quickly stepped back. He let the man get up to his feet before rushing towards him. Kiryu threw punch after punch at Majima. While he got hit, a manic laughter filled the air. The man made a mistake and forgot how unpredictable his beloved could be and suddenly found himself on the ground with all of the air being knocked out of him.
Kiryu wasted no time in getting up and throwing his fist at Majima’s face. The taller man wasn’t quick enough to dodge and was knocked back a few steps. He used the now gained distance to his advantage. He threw a heavy punch at Kiryu’s gut before following it with many much lighter punches. The Dragon of Dojima toughed it out and quickly grabbed Majima by his collar. With a loud yell he threw Majima to the ground.
Kiryu took heavy steps back, letting his rival slowly get up. As he watched Majima scramble to get up, he used the time to recover a little bit. His eyes were tightly glued to the man, not wanting to look away.
He jumped a bit once he made eye contact with his beloved rival. Kiryu saw something in the man’s eye. A certain passion and competitiveness. A longing. A longing Kiryu shared. Both of them always put a hundred percent into the fights, Kiryu so because of wanting to make the Mad Dog of Shimano happy. There was also the bonus of beating him badly enough to tire him out for an hour or two.
Unfortunately their moment of intimacy did not last long. Wanting to get over it quickly, as Kiryu was in a hurry, the man took a long and shaky breath. He closed his eyes as he felt the salty air come into his lungs. Chestnut brown eyes shot wide open and a sort of battle cry left Kiryu’s lips as he charged at Majima. The other man’s eye widened as he watched the buffer man charge at him with full force. His body had grown tired after taking so many blows all over his body. There was no time to dodge and Majima went flying back. His beat up and tired body landed on the ground with a loud thud. He got the breath knocked out of him.
Majima laid on the ground coughing and catching his breath. Kiryu was hunched over as he caught up with his own breathing. The older man took a long and shaky breath. Then he started to chuckle. His chuckles turned into a fit of laughter. The Dragon of Dojima sighed one last time as he straightened his back. He walked over to the man on the ground.
“Ya can really pack a punch! Ya know that right, Kiryu-chan?” Majima laughed as he sat up.
A soft chuckle left Kiryu’s lips. He offered a hand to Majima. The man grabbed it gladly and got up from the ground. Once on his feet, he didn’t let go of Kiryu’s hand. Instead he pulled him close. Now Majima had Kiryu trapped in a tight hug. The Dragon of Dojima squirmed around a bit and was able to breathe properly. But the hug didn’t last long as Majima pulled away.
“Alright then, Kiryu-chan. I’d love to stay and chat but I’ve gotta bounce”, Majima said, his grin fading a little.
He patted Kiryu’s shoulder as he began to leave. The younger man turned around quickly before Majima could leave.
“Wait!” He called out.
“Huh?” Majima hummed as he turned back.
The man reached out and grabbed his wrist. He pulled him back closer to him. Majima was quite surprised by his actions. There was a small smile on Kiryu’s lips.
“Aren’t you forgetting something? Something you always insist on?” He said with a slightly teasing tone.
He caught Majima by surprise. There was a silence between them as the man thought about it. His mind went totally blank as he subconsciously gazed into Kiryu’s eyes again, getting lost as he drowned in them. Hearing Kiryu’s soft chuckle again made him melt.
His eye widened once he felt a hand on his cheek, turning his head slightly. It was all in one swift motion as Kiryu stepped and leaned closer to him. Majima was brought back into reality once he felt a pair of soft lips on his. The man closed his eye as he kissed Kiryu back lovingly and passionately. He exhaled a heavy breath he didn’t know he was holding in. It was like flowers bloom inside of him as he got all warm up and giddy inside. He also felt embarrassed for having forgotten.
As the time had gone by and the twice as many fights had blown by them, Majima and Kiryu had both realized they had a deep caring for one another. After each fight they made sure to kiss it better, making sure they were fine with each other and no hard feelings were building up between them. It was their little ritual. A ritual they both cherished in their scarred and wounded hearts.
In the ever changing chaos they called life, there was one thing that would always be the same. It was them. They were each other’s normalities in the overwhelming whirlwind of a world. When they fought each other they felt whole and oddly comforted. Even if they yelled taunts at each other, they always knew them to be momentary to get their blood pumping and never anything serious.
However their short moment of bliss came to an end as Kiryu pulled away from the kiss. Majima sighed once he felt the loss of the other man’s gentle lips. He was always left yearning for more but didn’t want to overstep the line. Majima knew how many times he broke a certain line in half with Kiryu but this was not the type to over step.
“There. I’m ashamed to say I’m in a hurry too, Majima-san”, Kiryu said with a sigh of defeat.
“R-right..” Majima mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck with a gloved hand.
His signature shiteating grin returned to his face as he rolled his shoulders back before grabbing Kiryu’s collar. He quickly leaned in for a peck, crashing their lips against each other which caught Kiryu off guard. Majima pulled away and let go of the man’s red collar. He flashed his sharp grin at Kiryu before giggling like a little girl.
“Alright, Kiryu-chan! See ya ‘round!” He said before running off into the night.
“See you around.. Majima-san”, Kiryu smiled after him.
He chuckled and shook his head. Even if he got tired of fighting once in a while, he’d never get tired of seeing Majima so happy like a large bundle of joy. It was certainly odd how Majima acted for most of the time, but Kiryu didn’t mind. Not one bit. The older man was the opposite of Kiryu, making their relationship perfectly balanced. Majima was certainly a weirdo, but he was Kiryu’s weirdo. He was something special Kiryu wouldn’t change for anything.
