Praying Nine to Five like a Saint for you

Summary:

Nayeon was set to leave with a goal in mind. To meet the girl she just met, tomorrow. She was walking away when she heard the girl murmur a sentence, “Excuse me?” Nayeon decided to look back and offered the girl a smile. The girl was smiling back, unsure of what to say. “You’re her, right?” She gave her widest smile.

“You’re the K-pop Idol, Im Nayeon.”

Notes:

I wrote this back in 2021 and I only had the chance to share it now. I hope you like it ><

Chapter Text

“Keep it moving, come on!” yelled Nayeon. At this time of the year, beaches are very popular. Nayeon booked a flight to Hawaii with her best friend, Dahyun. “If you help me then maybe things will move quickly.” Nayeon received an eye roll which wasn’t very new these days.

When they arrived several hours later in the beautiful Hawaii beach, Nayeon was mesmerized. Hawaii is really it . She set her goal. To reach her peak in her career and then resign to reside in Hawaii. She paid Hawaii a visit a couple of times throughout the years. Mostly with Dahyun, frequently with her family, a few times with her ex-lovers. It’s not surprising for Nayeon to bring her lovers to this place since the girl was capable. It just sucks big time when they break up because Hawaii is a safe haven for her and remembering the memories of her exes here has destroyed her image of Hawaii for quite some time. Hawaii’s beauty won over her though.

So, she came back.

It took time for Dahyun to finally convince Nayeon to come back since they both clearly miss it. it’s full of Nayeon’s What if’s and with Dahyun’s answer as Oh please . They only reached Hawaii because of you. Harsh but its Dahyun, and Nayeon is soft towards Dahyun.

“I’m sure you’re glad you said yes.” Dahyun said. She recently found a new beach, almost deserted but very, very beautiful. Nayeon is appreciative. “I am.” Nayeon sat down in the warm sand. The smell of salt, light waves, and calm sun is what Nayeon needed. A toxic work life back in Seoul, crazy exes, an unhealthy number of rumors. She was exasperated. Dahyun knew what she needed. Nayeon is thankful. Dahyun says Anytime.

Nayeon breathed in the ocean breeze, it was windy that day and her bucket hat kept flying. It was blown away by the unusually strong stroke of wind to another side of her view. “I’m sorry, the wind was strong.” Nayeon apologized, hoping for a kind person to not ruin her time here. “Here,” Nayeon was mesmerized. “Happened a few times to me, too.” The girl smiled. Nayeon solidified her goals today. Hawaii was really it. She was set to leave with a goal in mind. To meet the girl she just met, tomorrow. She was walking away when she heard the girl murmur a sentence, “Excuse me?” Nayeon decided to look back and offered the girl a smile. The girl was smiling back, unsure of what to say. “You’re her, right?” She gave her widest smile.

“You’re the K-pop Idol, Im Nayeon.” Nayeon’s smile almost dropped but the sincerity and admiration from the girl’s face is enough to make her smile stay still. “Oh, you know…” The other girl’s smile never left her face and so was Nayeon’s.

“You must be Korean?” Nayeon asked. “Japanese.” “Ahhh, that’s nice.”

The girl nodded and giggled. “The Im Nayeon isn’t just famous in South Korea. She doesn’t need to worry.” The girl gave her the sweetest smile Nayeon had ever seen. “You’re a flatterer, Ms.?”

“Mina. Myoui Mina”

Nayeon only nodded. She hopes Mina has a reply in mind. “Don’t worry. I just asked because I was making sure I wasn’t hallucinating.” Mina laughed and so did Nayeon. “Well, you’re most certainly not hallucinating, Ms. Myoui” Mina thanked God. “I’m glad.” Nayeon hasn’t seen a girl as pretty as Myoui Mina. A thought came into her head that maybe Mina has been here too many times. “Have you been here a lot of times? You seem like a local."

“Yes. I was planning to live here sometime in the future.” Nayeon nodded. Same plans, I guess. “I have the same plan actually.” “Oh. You do?” Mina gave her a confused stare. Now or when? “Yes. After all this K-pop thing.” Nayeon gave her a pat on her shoulder to say it’s okay.

“Hawaii is really good. I visit every year just to make sure I’m not missing it.” Mina told Nayeon. And just like that, they were walking together under the sunset while telling stories and making new ones.

“Hawaii is not the best place I’ve ever been to but it’s like, almost a part of me” Nayeon exclaimed to Mina who was matching her love for the place. “Right? Like there will be other countries that are prettier than Hawaii, but Hawaii captures our hearts” Mina enthusiastically said and Nayeon became giddy. “I sometimes forget that I’m an Idol when I’m here. I mean almost every time. Thank you for treating me like a normal person today.” Mina giggled. “I’m fangirling.”

“Oh?” Nayeon gave her famous smile that shows her cute teeth because she knows every fan likes those. It might work on Mina. Who knows? “You’re a lot more laid back than what I thought you would be.” Mina honestly said while guiding Nayeon with her own hand, away from the dogs that were having fun in the sand. “Well, you are a lot nicer than what I expected.”

“Expected?” Mina looked at Nayeon with a smile. “When my hat flew. It happens every time and other people just won’t bother” “Oh.” They both giggled. They decided to sit down in the nearest spot. Mina insisted on buying their food but Nayeon was stubborn, saying No. No beautiful girl is buying me dinner on the first night and so Mina failed to buy their food. “Is this a date?” Mina asked and they both laughed. “If you want it to be. I mean, this is not a date-food. I could do better than this” Nayeon smiled and looked at the view of the ocean once again, so did Mina. “Are you asking me for a real date?” “Yes,”

“Then okay.”

Hawaii’s weather has gone a little colder tonight so they decided to stay for a bit but then decided to go home because Nayeon is wearing an off shoulder blouse and was freezing to death. “This must be luck working on our side” Nayeon said when they found out they were staying at the same hotel. Mina convinced Nayeon to let Mina walk her home by saying No date is going to happen if you don't let me. Harsh but Nayeon found it amusing.

“This is really destiny.” Nayeon said, amazed, when she also found out Mina’s room is literally one room away from her. “Your room is just one room away from mine!” Mina giggled at the Idol’s cuteness. She pinched Nayeon’s cheeks and made her flustered. “You’re so cute” Nayeon’s knees almost gave up and she hoped Mina was there to catch her. “You really are…” Mina was patiently waiting for Nayeon to get herself together. It was cute. Nayeon is cute. “Such a flatterer.”

Mina scanned Nayeon’s face to see her reaction. “I had the chance so why not take it?” Nayeon laughed out loud and she found herself full of joy. Her perception of Hawaii changed back to being good for memories. Good for her. “I would like to invite you in but it’s not proper for a first meeting, isn’t it?” Nayeon said as she unlocked the door to her room. “Maybe next time.” Mina said and gave Nayeon’s cheek a quick peck. “Goodnight, Nayeon.”

“Goodnight.”

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Nayeon slouched down on the couch. That was decent for a first meeting. She hasn't had full conversations with strangers like that for such a long time but Mina isn’t a stranger anymore. “Have you eaten dinner?” Dahyun asked. “Yeah.” Dahyun suspiciously eyed her. “That’s weird. You never eat out in Hawaii without someone….” Dahyun looked at her intently. “Oh. You had someone!” She was excited now. She sat down next to Nayeon and asked questions. “Her name is Mina. Myoui Mina. Please don’t refer to her as “the person” anymore.” Dahyun laughed. “Fine. I only called her that because if I asked you, you wouldn’t tell me right away.”

“Fine.”

Nayeon went to the kitchen to get water. She is counting. One, Two, Three. There is Dahyun, with another set of questions. “Where is she from?” Nayeon chugged down the glass of water. Another round of Q&A’s. “She is Japanese but currently lives in South Korea. She works there.” Dahyun almost squealed in joy. “See! I told you Hawaii would be great!” Nayeon is thankful, again, very thankful.

“Is she pretty?”

“The prettiest.”

Nayeon spent the night answering Dahyun’s questions until they fell asleep.

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“I could just knock on her door, right?” Nayeon asked. She completely forgot about asking Mina’s number. Thanks to Mina’s very fluttering words and a kiss to her cheek, Nayeon forgot decency. “If she’s home then you’re lucky, If she’s not then please don’t cry” Dahyun said while preparing their breakfast. “You know what? I’m actually feeling lucky” Nayeon left Dahyun immediately.

Nayeon stood outside Mina’s room for more than a minute now. Maybe more than fifteen already. It’s 10 o’clock now, She must be awake already right? Nayeon still contemplated. Dahyun got out of their room to check and she was right. Nayeon has no game. “Come back and eat breakfast,” She said but Nayeon was stubborn and she didn’t budge.

“Fine.” Dahyun knocked on Mina’s door and ran away. Nayeon stood there straight, waiting but also wanting to run away too. A couple of seconds later, the door flew open.

Mina is the prettiest. Even with her hair sticking out from everywhere? Yes . Nayeon will say yes.

“I’m sorry. Did I wake you up?” Mina shook her head no and placed a sweet smile. “I just got up from my bed. I’m sorry you had to see me this way.” Mina said and tried to comb her hair with her own hands. Nayeon giggled a bit. “You’re still as pretty” A rose tint went into both of their cheeks. It’s too early for this . “Why, thank you.” Nayeon stared at Mina for a few more seconds before remembering what she knocked for. “Oh, I came here to ask for your number. I didn’t get it yesterday and I don’t know what time our date is. You know, I forgot about it because I was–I’m sorry, was I talking too much?” Nayeon’s both cheeks were pinched. “You are the cutest, Nayeon.” Nayeon swore Mina’s smile right now is overdosing. With their faces so close together and Mina laughs at Nayeon’s cuteness, Nayeon was excited not to breathe. She couldn”t anyway. When Mina stopped pinching her cheeks and put a space between them, Nayeon felt a surge of energy. “Would you like breakfast? My best friend cooked something”

“Is it okay for her?” Mina asked. Nayeon nodded several times. Dahyun would love it.

“I’ll just go change?” Mina said and Nayeon gave her a nod. “I’ll wait right here.” It took exactly 10 minutes for Mina to get ready. She was wearing a white summer dress and the look of a very fine lady. A very subtle pink colored lip gloss, rosy cheeks, and dark brown hair complements Mina’s already pretty face. “Sorry, did I take too long?” She asked and Nayeon thought that if she'd wait 10 minutes every time for Mina to come out looking like this, she could wait forever. “Nope. Just perfect.”

When they entered Nayeon’s room, Dahyun was cooking more food than usual. Nayeon knew Dahyun eavesdropped but it’s okay if it means more food. “Hello, I’m Mina” She introduced herself to the blonde girl and received a big smile. “Hi, I’m Dahyun! I would like to shake your hands but unfortunately my hands are already shaking this spatula to make this meal” Mina laughed and said it was okay. “I didn’t want to go into your business but, Nayeon told me about you already.” Dahyun smiles and Nayeon mouthed that she will kill her later. “Oh she did?” Mina looked at Nayeon with a smile so Nayeon looked at her, “I was held hostage”.

-

“You work there?!” Dahyun’s excitement overshadowed Nayeon’s. “I mean, I will but not yet,'' Mina said over a sip of milk. It turns out Mina and Dahyun would most likely work together. (It means Mina will be closer to Nayeon.) “I can't believe luck is on Nayeon’s side these days,” Dahyun joked but Nayeon thinks it's true. She has never been this lucky. “Now, now. I need to go. Oh, and Mina, I would love to get to know you from my perspective because Nayeon’s seemed to be a little bit biased” Dahyun winked at her before closing the door. “I see.” Mina said and let out a giggle she was holding. “What?” Nayeon said and sat down in the chair looking exhausted. Mina sat down next to her but left a good amount of space. “I love getting to know you,” Nayeon said and closed her eyes.

“Do you want to ditch the date? You look exhausted.” Nayeon bolted right up, opened her eyes, sat straight, and looked at Mina. “I’m not. A fine lady like you should be taken out for a date.” Mina giggled and Nayeon felt like she accomplished something big. “I don’t mind a movie date before an actual dinner date” Nayeon stood up and opened the TV. She does act fast. “Any genre?” “Any genre.” They spent the whole day watching corny rom-coms and Nayeon promised Mina the next time they do movie dates, she would pick the best movies for them. Another date was set.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“You must be filthy rich to come back here every time you miss it.” Nayeon said as she drove the car around the city, looking for a restaurant. “I’m not coming back because I miss it. I keep coming back because I don’t want to miss it. I hate missing something” Mina answered. “I just love Hawaii so much” She ended with a chuckle. “I see. Ah. Here’s one.” Nayeon parked the car and they entered the restaurant. It was full of locals but it wasn’t surprising for Mina that Nayeon knew this place. They sat down and ordered enough food for them. The place was very cozy and it fit Mina. They shared stories of each other from childhood and teenage years over the course of three hours.

“You did ballet for 11 years?” Nayeon said as they began to walk outside. “Yes. I stopped practicing when I got the job in Korea though.” Mina said. She wasn’t particularly sad but she definitely misses ballet. “Hopefully, you'll do ballet again. I can imagine you doing that” Nayeon said and it sparks hope for Mina. Maybe she will try again. “Why did you become an Idol?”

“I always loved singing and dancing,” Nayeon exhaled. “It must’ve been tough.” Mina held her hands tightly and rub her thumb across it when she noticed a change of mood from Nayeon. “Thank you.” Nayeon murmured. “Growing up being criticized for something you love is really soul-crashing.” “I’m glad you made it.” Mina said with sincerity all over her tone, and kissed Nayeon’s hands as a reassurance. Nayeon’s mind almost went into a short circuit but Mina made sure she wasn’t going to have any. “We're proud of you.” She kisses Nayeon’s hands once again.

They went for a walk before driving back into their hotel. “Thank you for today.” Mina said, pecking Nayeon’s cheek before closing her door. Nayeon forgot to get her number again.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“Oh for fucks sake!” Nayeon remembered it at Midnight when she was bored as hell with no Dahyun in sight. She was planning to maybe text Mina all night when the realization began. She got up from her bed frustrated and stomped her way onto the sofa. She finally decided to go outside the terrace to ease her frustration and when she did, she saw Mina one room away from her, also in the terrace. Mina took notice of Nayeon too. “Mina!” Nayeon yelled. “I forgot to ask for your number!” She yelled once more. Mina laughed at Nayeon. “Maybe you should come and ask me again!” She shouted back. Nayeon smiles. She knocked into Mina’s room and finally asked. “What’s your number? Give me your number.”

Mina asked for Nayeon to come in and she did. They are seated one seat far from each other into Mina’s terrace, admiring the view of Hawaii. “I was frustrated earlier,” Nayeon giggled. “I was bored and I thought of texting you but I realized I still don’t have your number.” She finished. Mina laughed at Nayeon when the girl was demonstrating how frustrated she was. “You could've just knocked, you know” Nayeon looked at her and giggled. “I’m nervous. Do you know that Dahyun knocked this morning because I was waiting outside your room for twenty minutes.” Nayeon laughed when she remembered how absurd she was. “Oh gosh” Mina laughed as well.

When the laughter died down, the soft sound of waves did its trick to make the tension soften between them. It was quiet and comfortable. Nayeon decided to reach for Mina’s hand, in return for earlier. Mina let her gladly do so, squeezing their hands twice. “I like your hands.” Nayeon said. “Yeah?” She nodded. “It fits mine perfectly.” Mina gave Nayeon a peck on the cheek. “I think your cheeks fit with my lips perfectly too.”

It was almost 3 in the morning when Mina felt sleepy. “Stay for the night?” She offered, too tired for Nayeon’s future excuses, she grabbed Nayeon’s hands and both of them lay into her bed. “Are you sure you want me in the bed? I could sleep on the sofa” Nayeon said and Mina just snuggled closer into Nayeon’s embrace. With a leg on top of Nayeon’s, a hand on her waist, her face suffocating into Nayeon’s neck, she says “I think I fit into you too, perfectly.”

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“Where were you last night?” Nayeon asked Dahyun. “I was getting laid.” Nayeon looked at her disgusted. “Oh come on, I was having fun and finding my own Mina” Dahyun said and took a pill for headache. “You. Why were you in Mina's room?” Dahyun asked suspiciously and Nayeon made a face. “We didn’t do anything. Piss off.” she said and opened the TV. “I was just asking because one time we were here you were getting railed for three days straight! I couldn’t even enter our room because it's always occupied!” Nayeon threw a pillow on Dahyun with every strength she got. “Fucking shut up!” Dahyun laughed the loudest.

“No, but seriously. I like Mina for you.” Dahyun said, picking up the pillow and putting it back in its place. “You don’t think she'll hurt me too, right?” Nayeon cuddles next to Dahyun, aching for comfort. “I mean, nothing is sure. But you, do you think Mina is worth a try?” Dahyun fully envelopes Nayeon into a hug. The older girl is undeniably vulnerable outside the screen she portrays herself to be .

“I want to try with her.”

Dahyun knows Nayeon, more than her exes, and more than anyone. She is someone who is constant to Dahyun and she was hers too. Without each other, they believed none of them would be able to function. They were each other's emergency person. A life boat. They established it for so many years and both were glad. “I’ll always be here no matter what”

“Thank you.” Nayeon thinks she needed to thank Dahyun more. Dahyun thinks it's enough. “But I really want to know why you were at Mina’s.” Nayeon sat down comfortably away from Dahyun and started telling why. “One thing I knew, I was beside her, asleep.” Nayeon looked at the TV, reminiscing what happened in Mina’s room. “And you didn’t cook her breakfast?” Dahyun asked. “You must be kidding…” She continued. “I did, okay? Hopefully It won’t be too cold when she wakes up” Nayeon shrugged. “Ring her up” Dahyun said and Nayeon looked at her confused. “What?” “I said ring her up” “What for?” Dahyun took Nayeon’s phone and scrolled towards Mina’s number. “To say Good morning” Dahyun gave Nayeon’s phone back and it was already ringing on FaceTime. Dahyun stood there and waited along with Nayeon.

Finally, Mina picked up on the third ring. “Hello?” “Hi, uh... I’m sorry. Did I wake you?” Mina nodded but gave her a smile. “Why did you call?” She asked and she’s now sitting on her bed, fixing her hair. “I was going to say, uh….” Nayeon looked at Dahyun who was mouthing Good morning. “I was going to say Good morning.” Mina let off a giggle and it was cuter because she just woke up. “You could’ve just told me here, silly. Why did you leave early?” Nayeon facepalms herself. She agreed. Why did she? “Oh I-I don’t know” Mina smiles. “Good morning to you too then,”

Nayeon gave her a toothy smile. “I cooked you breakfast. It might be too cold though” Mina stood up and went to the kitchen, with Nayeon watching as Mina brought her phone with her, making sure Nayeon could still see her. Mina touched the eggs with her fingertips. “It’s too cold,” Mina jokingly complained. “Maybe the cook can heat it up for me?” Nayeon giggles. “Wait for the chef then.”

“See? Good luck, Best friend” Dahyun said and she was yet to receive another pillow thrown in her face.

Once Nayeon entered Mina’s room, her bed was already made and everything else was cleaned. “Have you had breakfast?” Nayeon shook her head no. “Not yet.” Mina then gets herself two plates and with Nayeon’s help, utensils too. “Heating the food was an excuse for you to come.” Mina chuckles and Nayeon smiled. “I know.”

“But I could really heat it up for you” Mina said it’s okay and so they went ahead to eat. “Thank you for staying the whole night. I appreciate it”

Nayeon looked at Mina. She can’t believe she just noticed now that Mina looked different from the first time they met. This Mina in front of her seems tired, sad. “Are you okay?” Mina smiled tenderly. She wasn’t sure what she was going to say. “No.” Nayeon gazes at her, wondering if she could push more. “Is it okay to ask why?” Mina chuckles. “Of course,” Mina drank her water and cleared her throat. “I was afraid, that’s all.” Nayeon held her hand. “Of?” She could tell Mina was hesitant, she regretted for a slight moment why she asked but Mina reassured her it was okay. “I just got a call that my father has just recovered from his sickness” Mina looked at Nayeon intensely. “Isn’t that good?” Mina shook her head. “He always relapses. And I don’t know if he could take another one,” Nayeon didn’t know what to do, so she offered herself. She hugged Mina until she felt like Mina could stand on her own. Mina cried for hours that day. Nayeon was glad she was there.

“I booked a flight back to Japan tonight.” Mina said when she calmed down. Nayeon was beside her, caressing her back and drawing circles with her finger to her back. “That’s great” Mina looked at Nayeon. “I don’t want to miss you.” She confessed. Nayeon smiles at her and kisses her forehead. “You could call me anytime” Mina snuggles closer. She really hated missing something, and a certain someone especially. “When are you going back to Seoul?” asked Mina. “About a week from now.” Mina sighed. “Okay. I’ll be back five days from now.” Nayeon nodded.

“You’re going to be busy once you’re back in Seoul, aren’t you?” Mina asked. Nayeon gave a saddened smile. “Unfortunately. But I could meet you after my flight.” Mina was hesitant. Nayeon shouldn’t really change schedules for her. “No. it’s okay. You should rest. We’ll meet whenever you’re free”

“I don’t want you to miss me.” Nayeon joked and finally, Mina laughed after the long crying session. “Then don’t make me miss you.”

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Nayeon dropped Mina off the airport and received a peck on the cheek once again. Nayeon once believed promises and goodbyes mostly aren”t good but with Mina, maybe promises and goodbyes aren’t that bad after all.

“Ohoh, Why do you look like that?” Dahyun asked once she was back in their hotel room. “Mina just left.” Dahyun ran towards Nayeon, worried. “No, no. Not that kind. She left for family matters.”

“Oh thank gosh. I was worried for a second,” Dahyun let out a heavy sigh with a hand on her chest, she was really worried though. “So, when will you meet her again?” Nayeon sighs back. “She said whenever I’m free. And I’m almost never free.” She said and sat down looking frustrated. “I’ll make time for you then,” Dahyun said. “You can't.”

“I can.” Nayeon looked at her best friend and she knew she was serious. “I’ll talk to your Manager. A few hours won’t hurt” And then Dahyun really made her way to talk business with Nayeon’s Manager.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Hey, I just landed in Japan. I thought I'd let you know. Xoxo – Mina

Nayeon’s waiting was over.

Hi. I’m glad you made it safe. You should take a good rest, Goodnight. – Nayeon

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Mina failed to give Nayeon a text throughout her visit in Japan. Nayeon didn’t mind since she knew why.

Nayeon and Dahyun were on a flight back to Seoul. “Your Manager said 5 hours, Nayeon” Nayeon thanked Dahyun a million times. When they landed, Nayeon received messages from Mina.

Hi. I’m sorry I haven’t texted you back. I’ll tell you why sooner.

Hello Nayeon, You must be on your flight back to Seoul. Have a safe trip! Xoxo – Mina

Nayeon smiled and immediately replied.

Can I see you tomorrow? I’m free. Good evening :)) – Nayeon

In which she received a reply.  “Hey! Move your ass here right now” Dahyun yelled while in the car.

So Nayeon did.

Are you sure you’re free? – Mina

I am. – Nayeon

Okay then. <3 – Mina

\

Nayeon got home and she missed a chaotic room once Dahyun was gone. So she did what she always does when she feels lonely. She writes songs. Nayeon probably has thousands of written songs just waiting to be recorded, waiting to be given a chance. Nayeon thought those songs didn't fit her concept just yet so she waits for the right time.

Nayeon has been in a bad spotlight for almost a month now because of a very bad media play. Her agency already cleared it but the public eye is ever so stingy. She’s been called an attention seeker or some sort. Nayeon is very thankful to her fans who continue to fight alongside her. She plans to post another controversial thing to clear her image. So she messaged her Manager for permission.

-

Mina sat down in her room waiting for her friends who were bothering her to hangout with them ever since she got back from Hawaii. They sure are clingy. She was scrolling through the Internet when an article about a certain Im Nayeon was made.

Kpop-star Im Nayeon, posts yet another controversial topic to clear her image. BB1 Label, to back her up and support her.

Mina scrolled through it and Nayeon’s words were sincerely apologetic for something she hasn’t done, yet, there was still criticism but thankfully overshadowed by a good amount of positivity.

We're proud of you, Im Nayeon. – Mina

She heard a knock from the door and there were her friends who were beaming at her, hands full of takeout food. “Welcome back!” They went to the kitchen and prepared food that was suitable for a movie night. “Sana, For the Love of God, calm down.” Said Momo. They were all childhood best friends that decided to work in South Korea. Momo as a choreographer, Sana as an AR team leader , both on BB1 Label. Mina as an IT.

Momo turned to look at Mina. “What do you have for us?” Mina pointed towards the counter full of souvenirs and snacks she bought from Hawaii. “I’m going broke because of you guys.” Mina exhaled and sat down on the couch.. “As if! You’re one of the richest in Japan, you idiot.” Sana said and brought her tongue out to tease Mina.

Ding !

Mina went to get her phone but Momo was too fast. Momo read “ Thank you, Mina. From,, wait” Momo struggled to read because she doesn’t want to believe what she saw “No way,” Ding ! Momo read it again, “ I’ll see you tomorrow yeah? Good night ?????”

“From who? Oh gosh, Is Mina dating someone?” Sana excitedly went beside Momo and Mina. “From who, Momo?” Momo swallowed the lump on her throat. “From Im Nayeon?!” Mina went to grab her phone away from Momo and stood there and looked at her two best friends who were still in shock. “Is it really Im Nayeon? BB1 Label, Im Nayeon?” Sana asked.

Come to think of it, Momo and Sana haven't seen Im Nayeon even though they work in the same company. She was always busy and almost never in the company for too long because the girl preferred to be somewhere than the company. So it was shocking how Mina got to know the Idol. “It is.” Mina stated, looking for another reaction. “We met back in Hawaii”

“So that’s where she went.” Mina looked at Momo. “Excuse me?” “Oh, it’s just Im Nayeon was supposed to be having a comeback this month but suddenly went into hiatus because of the rumors. And then the other week, her manager announced she will take a break away from Seoul for a week, to unwind.” Mina nodded. “You didn’t know she had rumors, didn’t you?” Sana asked as they went to sit down in the movie area.

“No.” Momo and Sana looked at each other. “Other people said nasty things to her.” Momo said and Mina didn’t care. “What does that have to do with her?” Sana smiles. “Nothing sweetheart. It doesn’t have anything to do with her” Momo did share a smile too. “Don’t let other people”s opinion of Nayeon mess with you, okay?”

“Of course.”

Mina messaged Nayeon back.

Goodnight, Nayeon. I miss you. – Mina

Nayeon’s heart pumped harder. Mina said she misses her. Mina said she hates it when she misses something. She messaged right back.

Please don’t miss me, I don’t want you to hate me – Nayeon

I don’t think I’ll ever hate you. don’t worry. I’ll see you tomorrow.

I had a movie date with friends, they chose another corny rom-coms. Please save me from these. – Mina

Nayeon laughed because she imagined Mina’s disgusted face while watching.

I have a great movie in mind. Let’s watch it tomorrow, to make up for your nigh t – Nayeon

Please do. – Mina

The next day, Nayeon went to check in into the agency and meet with her manager for her schedule. Dahyun was right, she had exactly five hours of free time to be with Mina. “Is this for someone again?” Her manager pointed at the free time. “Jeongyeon, come on. See? it’s my only free time for the week” Nayeon complained. “Yeah, okay, but is it?” Nayeon nodded. “An artist?” “Nope.” “Oh.” Nayeon looked at Jeongyeon. “What do you mean Oh?” Jeongyeon laughed. “No, I mean, it’s pretty strange you didn’t go for another artist” Nayeon slapped her manager”s arm and glared at her. “Shut up.” “I hope you don’t break her heart. Poor girl”

“When was I ever the one who broke their heart?!”

Jeongyeon laughed her heart out. Teasing Nayeon is the best part of being her manager. “Are you really sure you want to live in Hawaii after all of this?” Jeongyeon asked. Nayeon nodded. “I mean what, how many years will this last? 5? 10? I still have time if I ever changed my mind, right?” Nayeon was sure enough.

Ding!

I really don’t want to cancel our date because you made yourself free for this but my friends didn’t want to leave the house for today. What should I do? – Mina

Nayeon looked at her Manager. “What?” She smiles. “Is it possible to extend my 5 hour break? I’ll make up for it tomorrow” Jeongyeon rolled her eyes. “Fine. Only because you seemed really ecstatic to see your girl” Nayeon thanked her with a smile.

We could continue our date with them. Is it okay? – Nayeon

Mina was hesitating. Im Nayeon with Momo and Sana? She hopes for Nayeon’s patience.

I mean is that okay with you? I’ll tell you about them for a heads up – Mina

Sure. What are they like? – Nayeon

Momo is a Choreographer, very talkative. Sana is an AR team leader, very very talkative. Both are from BB1 Label. – Mina

We work at the same agency then. I think it would be fine – Nayeon

Do you really think so? They are quite loud and full of questions – Mina

If I have to date them to date you then why not? – Nayeon

Mina’s heart started to beat faster.

Please don’t. Only date me – Mina

Nayeon felt her knees wiggle.

Mina told Momo and Sana that Nayeon would come, hoping the two girls would get shy and leave but they just went to scream because they”re that excited. It was Im Nayeon anyway.

When it hit 4 in the afternoon, the trio was done preparing for Dinner. Mina was euphorically waiting. It feels like a family is coming home. She took a shower and wore a casual outfit, it was for movie dates anyway.

Knock Knock.

Mina opened the door revealing Nayeon with a bouquet of tulips. Nayeon was gorgeous and smelled really good. Nayeon is beaming at her, “Hi.” Mina replied with a hug and a simple hello. A kiss on the cheek, if you may. “Here,” Mina received the flowers. “I hope you like them.” Mina looked up to level Nayeon’s eyes and nodded, “I love it.”

Mina invited Nayeon in and put the flowers in the vase. Momo and Sana were patiently waiting in the kitchen. When they saw Nayeon, the pair stood up and immediately greeted her like she’s some sort of high ranking official and that made Nayeon giggle. “Oh come on, we work at the same company. You don’t need to be so formal to me. Please treat me like a friend.” Nayeon showed her toothy smile.

“We're sorry if we're disturbing your date but I’m too tired to go elsewhere and Momo is a pain in the ass. I’m sorry” Sana stated “Hey!” Momo yelled while Nayeon chuckled. “It's alright. it’s a pleasure to meet you both.” Sana smiled at her and to Mina’s eyes, Sana was fond of Nayeon already. “Well, dinner is gonna get cold.”

The four of them shared stories and embarrassing moments over dinner. Movie night was scratched out of the list when Momo offered to drink it out, in celebration of Mina dating again after years. Momo said I thought Mina was gonna die single! Followed by Sana”s high pitched laugh and another great banter “Mina’s last relationship was back in College! Her name was Aiko” Sana pointed at Mina “It took her almost 3 years to move on” Momo laughed.

A couple of drinks later, Sana and Momo are drunk. Mina was tipsy, Nayeon was still sober. “You know,” Momo started. “I think you’re a good pair” She continued while asking Sana to support her statement. “I’m no professional or anything about love but I think it's very nice” She hiccups. “I’m just glad Mina is finally going out again.” Sana last said before falling back into her sleep. Momo was fast asleep next to her too.

Nayeon looked at Mina with fondness. She was not quite sure if Mina is tipsy or close to blacking out. “Alright, sweetheart. Let’s get you to bed.” Nayeon carefully guided Mina to her room. She let Mina sit down in the bed while she sat in front of her. It was a big house with big rooms so it took a lot of finding Mina’s room. “I’m sorry this date didn’t turn out the way we wanted,” Mina said as she mentioned Nayeon to sit next to her. “It's okay. I had fun either way.” she said while sitting closer to Mina. “I’m dating you now, right? We are not on the speaking stage anymore?” Nayeon let out a chuckle. “Of course.” Mina snuggled closer to Nayeon, her arms going into her waist. “I think I like you.” She confessed. Nayeon’s arms went around Mina’s shoulder and kissed her temple. “I think I like you too.”

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Nayeon woke up with a few notifications from Jeongyeon, Dahyun, and Mina. She opened Dahyun’s first.

Did you have fun? I heard from Jeongyeon that you extended your break – Dahyun

Next was Jeongyeon”s.

10 AM, shooting. – Jeongyeon

This last one is what excites her. Even though not knowing what it is about.

Good morning. Last night wasn’t a dream, was it?

Oh God, I hope It wasn’t because this is going to be embarrassing . – Mina

Nayeon chuckled. She is so cute.

I like you too, Myoui Mina – Nayeon

Mina’s cheeks were beat red and she’s thankful Nayeon couldn’t see her. Momo and Sana were awake by now. “I meant what I said last night.” Sana said. “Whatever It was, I meant it.” Momo nodded in response. “You look so happy and that’s what matters” She said.

Mina knew what they were talking about. “She didn’t stay the night?” asked Momo. “No. She left last night because she has a schedule this morning.” Momo bolted right up. “Oh shit, Is it 10 am? I have a schedule with her!” Momo then ran faster than Usain Bolt. Sana shook her head. “Well then, I’ll see you again next time?” Mina just nodded. “You could pay me a visit if you want. If you felt lonely or something” Mina was thankful about how thoughtful and kind Sana is. She has always been like this and it still warms Mina’s heart every time. “Okay.”

-

“God! Momo is late again!” Jeongyeon frustratingly yelled. Nayeon didn’t mind since she wasn’t the one that’s going to get a scolding from Jeongyeon. “Hi! I’m so sorry! I overslept” Momo apologized. “Just go there already” It was a long day of shooting.

Nayeon managed to get back home in one piece after the long and tiring shoot for every magazine out there. She is making a comeback soon and she’ll be busier than ever. She submitted songs that she likes and songs that she wrote to the company and is in consideration now. She found herself longing again so she immediately opened her notebook and wrote songs.

Ding! Nayeon managed to look at it with hooded eyes.

I’m just checking in. How are you? – Mina

Nayeon replied.

Tired. You? – Nayeon

You should rest now then. I’m fine. – Mina

I miss you terribly . – Nayeon

A ring from FaceTime gave Nayeon a quick boost of energy and pressed the green button. There she saw Mina’s face. it’s becoming her favorite too. Mina’s skin was glowing along with her lips with a gloss. Mesmerizing eyes, soft pointy nose, a constellation map of moles across her whole face. Nayeon has never liked someone as much as she likes Mina now. Mina was addictive. “You’re so beautiful”, Nayeon said and Mina’s cheeks reached another shade of red. “Thank you.”

Nayeon could stare at Mina all day and she wouldn’t be bored. Every crease in her face, every dent, every spot. Nayeon finds it so beautiful. Everything about Mina is beautiful. Her laugh is a song she could hear for the rest of her life. Her stories that will eventually stay in Nayeon’s head. “I wish I could hug you. You look so tired” Mina said after a moment of silence. “I wish that too.” Nayeon smiled too weakly. “Do you remember that night in Hawaii?” said Nayeon. “You said your body fits with mine perfectly. I think I would like to fit my heart perfectly into yours, too.” Nayeon stated as her eyes felt heavy and she drifted off to sleep. Mina almost cried hearing that. It was such a beautiful moment and she just hoped she was there beside her. “Goodnight, Nayeon.”

-

Mina started working the next day. She was eager to find a certain blonde girl. “So you are telling the truth!” Dahyun excitedly said. “Come, give me a hug” so they did. Dahyun asked Mina for coffee for basic decency. She told Mina anyway that she wanted to get to know her. “So, you met Nayeon?” Mina nodded. “Yes, I invited her the other day” Dahyun let out a chuckle, “That girl really. She pushed herself hard yesterday so she’s still asleep right now. I just hope Jeongyeon doesn’t kill her” Mina giggled “Jeongyeon? That’s a new name” Dahyun smiled at her “She”s Nayeon’s manager. You should get along with her too because she handles Nayeon’s time” Dahyun winked at her and laughed it off.

The coffee was spent with laughter and stories from either Nayeon or Mina’s or Dahyun’s. They were like best friends now on how many secrets they”ve told each other. “Back in College, Nayeon was a wrecker. Seriously. If you knew her from back then, She’s a headache. I’m just thanking God and enjoying my time right now now that Nayeon has gone soft over the years.” Said Dahyun. “I guess it’s because her last ex hurt her the most.” Dahyun sighed and Mina gave her nod, “It’s okay.” “No. I want to tell you this. Nayeon runs away” she told Mina.

“When things get tough on her, she runs. Three days. Four. A week.” Mina nodded because she could see Dahyun was very saddened about it. “One time two years ago, no one could find her for a whole week. Jeongyeon was very mad at me, I mean she is an Idol after all. It was the time when her ex dumped her in Hawaii. Can you Imagine that? A girl brought you to Hawaii and you couldn’t wait to dump her? Hawaii is Nayeon’s haven. Imagine being filled with memories of being dumped there. She couldn’t handle that thought so she ran away for a week to think. I just saw her back in her dorm, I never knew where she went.” Dahyun sighed and drank her coffee. “I’m just glad she is doing better nowadays. She agreed to come with me back to Hawaii too. She said it feels like it was time.” Dahyun let out a chuckle. “Nayeon is a softie. You must’ve known that by now”

When their little coffee break was over, Mina grabbed her phone out and felt like messaging Nayeon.

I miss you. – Mina

Then her whole day was filled with getting to know colleagues, waiting for Nayeon’s text, reminding herself to act professional, occasionally running away from Old dudes trying to hit it off with her, and finally getting to go home.

I miss you too, so much. – Nayeon

It was 7 in the evening when Mina was set to go home. She was driving her car into the nearest convenience store for her convenient dinner. Mina could afford expensive food but she settles for an unhealthy amount of convenience store food because it”s fast and doesn’t need to be cooked. The only home cooked or restaurant cooked food she has is when she is in Hawaii, or when Momo and Sana are around. She never got rid of her habit and Sana hated it.

You’re not eating convenience store food, are you? – Sana

Like a CCTV, Sana knows when Mina eats dinner because she knows Mina follows an inexistent schedule. Dinner at 7 or 8. Breakfast at 8 or 10.

;P – Mina

Myoui Mina! – Sana

Mina turned off her phone and continued eating her food before driving home. She slouches on her couch and lets out a sigh. She was longing for a hug. Sana is one call away but she didn’t bother because she’s going to get a scolding if she called the girl. She doesn’t have much energy for that.

A knock invaded her thoughts so she got up a little annoyed because she doesn’t want it to be Sana tonight.

“Hi.” Nayeon was smiling at her and hands were full of food bags. “You’re not Sana” “Oh, you’re expecting someone?” Mina shook her head no, fast. “No, no. it’s just…” Mina grabbed Nayeon’s wrist and just pulled her inside the house, locking the door as she went. “I thought Sana is going to give me a scolding, but I think you’re a much better visitor.” Nayeon chuckled. “Why are you going to get a scolding?” They sat down on the sofa and Mina immediately went to cuddle Nayeon. She really misses her. “She doesn’t like it when I eat convenience store food,” Mina started. “It’s a bad habit. I just want to eat fast” Nayeon hummed and kissed Mina’s temple. “You really shouldn’t. it’s bad for you.” She said tenderly and Mina melted more into her touch.

“Well, now. I came here to continue our movie date. Hopefully, no one is coming?” Nayeon uttered after a while. Mina gave both of them space and smiles. “No one.” Nayeon allowed herself to set the TV up, and chose a movie she has had her mind on ever since the movie date back in Hawaii. They spent the evening watching and cuddling. Nayeon was drifting off to sleep but got woken up by Mina’s silent whimper and frustrated sigh caused by the movie ending. “It's so good! Why does it have to end??” Mina huffed and Nayeon chuckled. Mina glanced at her and noticed a very tired Nayeon. “You must be so tired. You could sleep here” Mina offered. “I heard from Dahyun that you’re working hard these days” Nayeon looked at her and made a droopy smile. She went closer to Mina until their noses touched. “I wanted to see you.” And she went to rest her head into the crook of Mina’s neck. “You smell good”

Like a breath of fresh air. Minty and sweet. Mina smelled exactly like that and Nayeon was addicted. Nayeon pampered a peck on Mina’s neck that made her let out a soft murmur. It was affectionate and intimate. They eventually fell into a cuddle, Nayeon still buried in Mina’s neck. Mina started to hum songs.

Nayeon swore she was in the Gates of Heaven, with Angels singing for her. Mina is an Angel. She is Heavenly. And Nayeon is lucky to have met her.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

“Surprise, surprise!” Dahyun entered Nayeon’s house with cans of beer and a bottle of tequila. Nayeon is as ready as ever, with food prepared on the table. She is set to have her Comeback the next day and a perfect way to celebrate it is by drinking with Dahyun. “Mina and her friends are coming, right?” It's been a month since the pair saw each other properly. Nayeon tries to go to Mina for an hour or two and leave to practice. This cycle went for the whole month so this event excites Nayeon the most. “Yes. They should be here by now” Nayeon checked the time. 8 PM. Her album would be set to release at 12 AM.

When a knock invaded Dahyun and Nayeon’s quarrel, Dahyun went to the door and invited the three girls in. Introducing herself while they said their hello’s back. “Congratulations, Nayeon!” Momo cheered with a bottle of champagne in her hands. “I haven’t heard anything yet but I know the album is a masterpiece!” Sana said enthusiastically and went to give Nayeon a celebratory gift. “Thank you Momo. Sana.” She says as she smiles at them. Her eyes landed onto the most beautiful Mina and her smile got even wider. “Congratulations.” She whispers and it was enough. They are not the type to show affection to each other with other people around anyway, so a simple Congratulations made Nayeon’s heart weak.

“I’m starving. Let’s go eat!” yelled Dahyun.

It's nearing 12 o’clock and Nayeon feels nervous but really excited. She hopes for a successful promotion. Dahyun held her hand because that’s how she feels the most calm whenever comeback season comes. Dahyun looked at her with an affiliative smile and a simple nod. Momo and Sana were excited, their eyes practically glued to the TV that was counting down.

Three, Two, One. Dahyun raised both of their hands up. “Here we go!” like on a roller coaster.

They continued to watch Nayeon’s performance in the music video, with Sana cheering the loudest at the side. Of course she is also proud, Momo is Nayeon’s choreographer this time and Nayeon planned on keeping it that way. Mina and Nayeon glanced at each other, with Mina a rewarding smile. She was the proudest next to Dahyun.

Dahyun, Momo, and Sana decided to buy more cans of beer and also because they wanted to give the pair a private moment for a second. Mina gave Nayeon a kiss on the cheek, “I’m so proud of you.” Nayeon’s smile was the widest and decided to hug Mina. “Thank you.” She whispered into her ears.

“I missed you.” Mina whispered back when they were comfortable enough with their space. “I missed you too.” Nayeon smiled and went to get something in her pocket. “It came to my mind that we're dating for a month now,” she started. Mina sat down on the stool, waiting for Nayeon to continue. She brought out a pendant necklace and the shine on it almost blinded Mina. “I don’t think I liked anyone as much as I like you now. I’m thankful that you are here with me on my happiest day and the most important too,” Nayeon moved closer to Mina, and carefully put the necklace to her neck. “Thank you for your kindness since that time in Hawaii. And Thank you for being here with me tonight.” As soon as Nayeon locked the necklace, Mina also locked lips with Nayeon.

Mina wasn’t so sure when she exactly longed for Nayeon’s lips but as soon as their lips touched, she felt like it took her forever to catch the other girl’s lips. With a soft murmur from Nayeon, a few wet strokes from her tongue, Mina’s heart was full. This is magical. Mina loves Nayeon. When they pulled away from the kiss, a breath of satisfaction was released from Nayeon’s lips. “That was me asking you to be my Girlfriend, by the way.” Mina laughed softly and kissed Nayeon once again. “That’s my answer. Yes.” And gave her another one. One after another until they found themselves laughing at how silly they were.

The trio who left for beers came back with more varieties of alcohol and Nayeon knew this was going to be a long night, with Mina of course.

Momo was the first one to get drunk, slurring all her words. Sana followed, then surprisingly Nayeon. “No! Because, I bet Mina would be the first one to ask you” Sana stated as Momo laughed. “Mina would never ask first!” She said. Nayeon looked at Mina and the girl knew she was drunk. She smiled and nodded with her eyes closed. Mina wasn’t sure why but she finds it cute. Dahyun laughed at the drunken group. “So, who will ask first?” Dahyun whispered to Mina as she chuckled. “Nayeon already did.” Momo and Sana whipped their heads fast to look at Mina. “What!?” Sana yelled. “I told you!” Momo laughed at her. Dahyun laughed. “Wow, look at you Im Nayeon! How can you look like that in front of your girlfriend” she joked and Nayeon pouted really, really hard which made Mina giggle so Nayeon guessed she did a good job. “She did already?” Sana pouted again. “I was rooting for you, Mittang!” she cried. Mina mouthed a sorry before laughing.

When the three of them fell asleep with cans of beer still on their palm, Mina and Dahyun went to clean things up. “I should say Congratulations to Nayeon when she wakes up because she has you as her girlfriend now,” Dahyun said with a chuckle and Mina laughed. “You don’t drink?” Mina asked and Dahyun said no. “Not tonight. I need to wake this star up tomorrow” She said and pointed at Nayeon.

Nayeon is gorgeous. Even in her drunken state and her slurred words? Yes. Mina will say yes.

“Funny thing was, I was going to ask her too tonight,” Mina confessed. “Oh?” She nodded. “I even prepared a speech” They both laughed because Mina showed a crinkled paper on her palm. “Well, you should tell that to her soon. She will appreciate it.” Mina nodded. Mina found out that Nayeon is a fan of written letters thanks to Dahyun. It was one in the morning the other day when Mina went to write it down. Confessing her love towards Nayeon.

When Nayeon woke up the next day, there was a piece of paper that was evidently torn away from the original one, on her bed table and it was neatly folded with the initials M.M

It says:

Im Nayeon, I love you.

The end.

Chapter 2: Please stand with me after dark (I'll stay in the limelight)

Summary:

Snippet of Nayeon and Mina’s relationship.

Notes:

I saw this basically abandoned on my gdocs so why not upload it

Chapter Text

Things magically got in place for Nayeon ever since she asked Mina to be her girlfriend. Her album was a success, the public eye is welcoming her back, Jeongyeon was less harsh, and her schedule was lighter for a little while. She got a one day break before continuing her full schedule. Her first plan was, of course, a date with Mina.

Nayeon kept asking Mina where the other part of the letter was. Mina kept it a secret. “If you behaved well, then maybe I’ll tell you.” She said with a teasing tone and Nayeon took it as a challenge. She wanted to know what was in the letter. All of it.

Mina brought Nayeon to a park, less crowded than the one in Seoul so Nayeon was quite thankful. “This is the first park I’ve been to in Korea. I was with Sana and Momo.” Mina said, taking Nayeon’s hand into hers and slowly breathing out the air threatening to escape her lungs because of how breathtaking Nayeon was beside her. “I see.” Nayeon grinned at her. They went for a walk, ate late lunch, and eventually went to Mina’s house which technically is Nayeon’s home now too because of how much time she had spent here. “Do you want to order takeout for dinner or do you want me to cook?” Nayeon asked, receiving a laugh from her girlfriend. “I’d choose my chef anytime.” She gave Mina kisses before heading on to prepare ingredients for dinner.

It’s time like this Mina loves the most. Nayeon cooks in front of her while she continues to admire her. Nayeon has a habit of washing her hands every time she uses a different utensil. She also fixes her apron frequently. She would hum songs enough for the both of them to hear and she would smile at Mina. Nayeon is also an attentive cook. She is also fast enough to steal kisses from Mina whenever her attention drifts off somewhere else.

Over the course of them being two months into their relationship, Nayeon has learned more about Mina. Nayeon learned to cook Japanese food for her. Mina likes playing video games. It would take her all day if she wanted to, to finish a certain level. Mina loves ketchup. She also loves Lego too much, too. Nayeon learned to say Tadaima and accustomed herself to receiving Okaeri. It’s those simple things that make Mina the happiest.

Mina learned more about Nayeon. She likes her eggs well-cooked, her reading glasses are everywhere but her face; She likes her clothes folded next to Mina’s, her dental hygiene kit neatly arranged too. Whenever the superstar is too tired to go home and change clothes, she would “borrow” Mina’s hoodies. Nayeon loves cuddles and is childish in some ways. She pouts a lot and Mina loves it. Mina loves Nayeon simply.

“Nayeon, please.” Mina handed a washed plate for Nayeon to wipe dry. “What? I think it would be fun.” Nayeon invited her to go to the BB1 Label’s party. “Momo and Sana would be there and I’m sure Sana would invite you too.” Mina looked at Nayeon and sighed. Parties are too tiring for her and to even mention that a lot of artists are there too? Mina wanted to say no. “Come on, baby. I would be so bored without you there.” Nayeon slides closer to her once she finishes setting the plates aside. “Please baby….” Mina is weak towards Nayeon. Mina says yes. “I love you, baby!” Nayeon squeaked as she showers Mina with kisses all over her face.

Mina is standing there with a glass of champagne in her hand. She hasn’t seen Nayeon yet since the girl said it would take her a while. Momo and Sana were by her side because Sana knew how much the girl despises parties. “Are you doing okay?” Sana asked. “Maybe. I’m not sure.” Mina replied, Momo nudged her and told her to loosen up. “You’re going to be fine. Don’t worry.”

When the company’s artists started walking onto the red carpet, there was Nayeon, in her rose gold dress that was perfectly carved around her body, face full of make-up, heels as tall as the champagne glass in her hand—Mina thought what a gorgeous girl Nayeon is. Nayeon thought the same about her. She was in a dress, sophisticatedly wrapped around her beautiful body and it only screams nothing but perfection for Nayeon. Mina is a beautiful girl, in and out of Nayeon’s mind.

Nayeon beamed widely towards Mina. She loves her so much. She wants to be with her for the rest of her life if she was given a chance.

Nayeon has never been this anxious since her first audition. She has been tense since the night Mina told Nayeon her parents wanted to meet her over dinner. “Baby, it’s just dinner.” Mina said, massaging Nayeon’s tense shoulder and giving her kisses on the neck for reassurance. “And believe it or not, they’re fans.” That made her giggle and loosen up a bit. Nayeon’s popularity nowadays is skyrocketing. Her album reached international grounds, making her more popular and it reached Mina’s parents back in Japan too. “They’ll love you the same way I did.”

And Nayeon was glad they really did. One time when Mina and her Mother were cleaning, Nayeon and Mina’s father talked about things and what not’s. “I like you.” her father said. “Please take care of Mina.” Nayeon gave him a sweet smile, “I will.” Mina’s mother found her charming and funny, her father was very fond of Nayeon as well. Mina is happy knowing the most important people in her life were getting along quite well. “I was going to ask you permission just in case I marry her today but I figured it’s too early?” Nayeon jokes, making Mr. Myoui laugh. “Oh kid, maybe ask me again next time If you’re really ready.” The pair shared a laugh, grabbing the mother and daughter duo's attention towards them. “Your father likes her very much.” Mina’s mom said and with a chuckle. “Maybe because he's so happy that finally someone can keep up with his lame dad jokes and crazy antics.” They laughed. “Nayeon is like that.”

Mina loves every antics Nayeon has.

Two months turned into four, into eight, and eventually into twelve. They were already nearing their first anniversary and Nayeon was stoked. She prepared a lot. Asking Jeongyeon for more time to be with Mina before releasing another album, and asking Momo and Sana to help her set everything up. Dahyun was a big help from the start. She would tell Nayeon what to put and what not to put in designing the place she planned. It was not a lot and they couldn’t go outside either because Nayeon is becoming too popular nowadays. So, she settled at Mina’s house as the venue while Mina worked her ass off. It gave Nayeon enough time to prepare. She prepared every dish she knew because she knew Mina would love them regardless. She brought a bouquet of flowers, teddy bears, even a set of Legos. It’s for Mina anyway so might as well go all out. She also prepared a promise ring that goes very well with Mina’s pendant necklace she gave her over a year ago.

Mina, on the other hand, didn’t have any clue. She thought that maybe Nayeon forgot about it because she hasn’t received a single message from her all day. She didn’t mind.

I just finished work. Going home now. I love you Xoxo – Mina

She then set off to drive home but before she did, she bought Nayeon a gift on the way. She thought of giving it to her tomorrow, or if luck wasn’t on her side, probably the next time they meet again. Mina misses Nayeon terribly. Two weeks have gone by since she last saw her. She smiles at the gift and she places it next to the driver's seat, satisfied, because she knew Nayeon would love it. It was a simple bracelet that has an I.N engraved on it. It was simple but it’s stylish at the same time. It would fit Nayeon very well. When Mina entered her own home, flower petals were scattered around the floor almost like a red carpet. She looked up and saw Nayeon standing in the middle of the aisle with flowers on her arms and a big smile. “Tadaima.” To which Nayeon replies with “Okaeri.”

Mina went to Nayeon with a smile that never faded the whole night. “What’s all of this, Nayeon?” She asked with every heartbeat evident on her weak knees, “Happy Anniversary, Mina.” Nayeon said and gave Mina the bouquet she was holding. She envelopes Nayeon into a tight hug. “I love you! I love you.”

Mina went to Sana today. She brought spaghetti in a container enough for both the choreographer and her. They were very thankful and excited. It's the first time Mina visited them in a long time. “You cooked this?” Momo asked as she slurped the delicious noodle dish. “Yes. I was practicing.” Mina gave them a shy smile and they knew what she meant. “It’s very good.” Sana exclaimed. The two girls continued eating and Mina watched them with loving eyes. Maybe she’ll be the one cooking for Nayeon next time.

But the whole reason she was here was to deliver Nayeon a message that she thinks is better to say in person. “Have you seen Jeongyeon? Yoo Jeongyeon?” Mina asked the pair. “She was just around that corner earlier.” Momo pointed towards the end of the room and then Mina excused herself saying she’ll come back for the containers later. When she met Jeongyeon, the taller girl greeted her with a big smile. “Mina! How are you?” It’s inevitable for them to be close because Mina worked really hard to be friends with Jeongyeon because of what Dahyun said You should get along with her too because she handles Nayeon’s time and so she did very well.

“I’m doing very well. You?” Jeongyeon offered a seat for Mina which she gladly took, “Very tired. You know, with album promotion on the line.” She said, they settle into their small talks before Mina asks where Nayeon was. “She should be coming back anytime soon.”

A few minutes later, Nayeon arrived. “Oh, what a lovely visitor I’ve got right here. Why didn’t you call?” Mina almost answered but she realized her girlfriend was talking to her manager. Jeongyeon just shrugged and got up from her seat, “Well, since Mina’s here, I’ll leave you both.”

With that, she left quickly. She greeted Nayeon with a kiss on the cheek and exchanged their hello’s. “I didn’t know you were coming, I’m sorry.” Nayeon said as she pointed at the coffee in her hand. “No, It’s okay. I just came here to tell you something.”

“Oh?” Mina told Nayeon to sit down, which made the girl very anxious but Mina’s reassuring smile calmed her down immediately. Mina breathed in, grinning at the thought that wanted to escape her mind and she let out a breath “I’m trying to do ballet again.” Nayeon grinned. “I’ll do it as a hobby since I can’t quit my job but it’s going to be okay, right?” Nayeon stood up from her seat and went to Mina, her eyes were full of joy and excitement, “I’m so excited for you, baby!”

Mina is going to do ballet again and Nayeon is excited to see her Ballerina shine.

Everyone knows who Im Nayeon. With a positive reaction and positive idea of her rather than the previous year. She released another album and her most popular one was the self-written entitled “The best thing I ever did”. It was different from her usual style and fans loved it, wanting more like it even. Fans speculated it’s for a special someone and they weren’t wrong. Nayeon just won’t tell them, yet. “I didn’t know you write love songs now.” Jeongyeon said as she gave her artist a bottle of expensive wine. “Love has really struck you.” she continued. Nayeon received the wine in her hands and muttered a simple thank you. “I’m happy for you, really.” Nayeon muttered another thank you but this time, sincerely.

On their 2nd Anniversary, the public was informed about Mina and Nayeon’s relationship.

Im Nayeon dating a non-celebrity for 2 years. BB1 Label, confirmed.

It took Nayeon a lot of courage to tell her fans and those people interested in her. It was hard especially since they were not in an open country for this kind of relationship. Mina wouldn’t mind if Nayeon won’t tell them but Nayeon said she really wanted to because she’s tired of having their dates hiding in the vicinity of Mina’s house. She was thankful to her fans for the support she is receiving. One commented that she was so proud of Nayeon being open to her fans and to the country itself and supports her love for Mina. It’s not new for Nayeon to have a girlfriend but It’s definitely new that she confirms everything about Mina. And she’s proud of it. Mina shouldn’t be hidden and so is their relationship.

Nayeon ran away once.

It was the first big fight with Mina and she just didn’t handle it well. It was when Aiko, Mina’s ex, visited Korea. Mina told her about Aiko even before her initial visit because the girl told her weeks before that she will come and visit. Nayeon was understanding enough.

It was the time when Nayeon was so busy preparing for her upcoming international album and Mina told her she would hang out with Aiko for the meantime. She was fine with it, not until she found out Mina slept in Aiko’s place and was completely out of reach. Nayeon called a thousand times, sent a million texts, and even asked Sana and Momo about her. No Mina in sight. She was not the jealous type at all but she was tired and exhausted that she couldn’t think straight that day. She even begged Jeongyeon to let her off early to go to Mina’s or anywhere she thought she might find her. And she didn’t find Mina. No Okaeri back. No Mina at all. Nayeon was saddened by it. Almost irritated.

Trust Mina, trust her. For the love of God, Nayeon. Please trust her. She said to herself as she lay down in Mina’s bed and waited for her lover to come home. She never did, not until 2 days later.

While Nayeon was working she finally received messages from Mina;

Good afternoon baby. I’m just checking in. I’m sorry there was no signal in where we went to but don’t worry I came out in one piece! I love you Xoxo – Mina

Nayeon was good.

But Mina told her about Aiko’s plan to hangout with her again, Nayeon couldn’t admit to herself that she was, indeed, jealous. Of course she would be. She hasn’t been with the girl longer than an hour. She couldn’t compete with Aiko’s best-for-two-weeks hangouts. Nayeon became weary. She wouldn’t tell Mina because why would she? The girl was happy hanging out with an old friend. It was two weeks after when Nayeon felt like she couldn’t handle it anymore so she faced Mina. Out of Jeongyeon’s control, she went out of her work just to talk to Mina. “Are you cheating on  me?”  Nayeon’s voice was fatigued and small. It wouldn’t take no one to notice how long she bottled up that one sentence she has released. “What?” Mina went a tone higher, she wasn’t defensive but she was surprised about how absurd the question she was blatantly asked the first time after 2 weeks since she saw Nayeon again. The Idol massaged the bridge of her nose to ease her throbbing headache.

“Look, I know I haven”t been a good girlfriend for a while. I know that. I see that. But please, don’t cheat on me.” There it is. Mina became upset. How dare Nayeon assume she was cheating on her. How dare it even cross her mind. Mina slapped Nayeon. “How dare you assume…” she breathed, tears falling faster than she had noticed. Nayeon looked at her with narrow eyes and exhausted tears flowing into her reddened cheeks. Mina realized what she had done. “I… I’m sorry.” Mina inches closer to Nayeon, trying to get a hold of the girl. “Nayeon…” With tears still flowing both from their eyes, Mina held Nayeon so gently and caressed her arms. She hoped Nayeon wouldn’t run away, but she did.

Mina messages Dahyun. She gave messages to Jeongyeon in hopes the other girl would just go back to work but Nayeon didn’t, for three days. Dahyun came over to Mina to help her succor and told her Nayeon would come back. “She would, Mina. She will.”  Dahyun whispers into the sobbing girl and caresses her so gently. Nayeon will eventually come back for her. Dahyun knows it. Mina cried non-stop until her eyes dried out. She was lying on the sofa while Dahyun made her dinner. “Do you think she still loves me?” asked Mina who was consumed in the sofa, dead tired. Dahyun looked at her with a soothing smile, “Of course.” Dahyun knows it. Mina was not so sure anymore.

Eventually, Nayeon came back. After four days of reflecting on her actions. She went back home. Into Mina’s. “Tadaima.” It was 10 o'clock on a Saturday evening and she expected Mina would be there, but she wasn't. Only she was welcomed by Dahyun. Dahyun is not mad. She welcomed Nayeon with open arms and hugged her. Nayeon cried hard. “It’s alright. I’m here.” Dahyun says as she rocks the Idol in her arms, hoping to sooth Nayeon’s aching heart. Dahyun was the most understanding girl Nayeon and Mina had ever known. She doesn’t take sides which they were both thankful for. She gives each and everyone a proper comforting hug, and reassuring words to help them calm down. “Do you think she still loves me?” Nayeon said as she calmed down on the sofa Mina was previously laying on. Dahyun looked at her, with a reassuring smile. “Of course.” Dahyun knows it. Nayeon wants to believe her.

The same night, Mina went home. “Tadaima.” She wasn’t expecting an Okaeri back from Dahyun but she did. “Okaeri.” But It wasn’t from Dahyun and she noticed it the moment she heard the “O”. She walks in uncertainty towards the living room and finds out Dahyun was nowhere to be found, but a certain brunette was. Nayeon stood up and faced Mina. What has she done to her beautiful girlfriend? Exhaustion was evident on the way Mina stands. Dark circles under her eyes, puffy cheeks, and a red nose. She was more than sorry. “Mina… Baby, I’m sorry.” Mina went to drop her groceries and ran towards Nayeon, who was already with open arms and hugs her. “Don’t you ever run away from me like that again.” Mina cried out. Nayeon nodded. “I won’t.”

Nayeon and Mina went on a late night date in a nearby park. They were able to go on dates now that they have confirmed their relationship in public. Nayeon has basically abandoned her apartment and just goes directly to Mina’s place, only sleeping in her apartment whenever it's comeback season because it is convenient. The couple had set boundaries. Nayeon shouldn’t disturb Mina whenever the girl is finishing her Legos or whatever she was doing, Mina understands Nayeon’s work. And It’s been working for them quite beautifully.

“How’s ballet?” Mina looked at her and her smile was wide. “Wonderful. It’s wonderful.'' She says. Nayeon gave her a nod. “I really want to watch you dance.” She says, “I want to see my ballerina dance.” she continued. Nayeon really wants to see Mina in her own nature, in doing ballet. Nayeon has set a lot of dates just to see Mina do ballet but their schedule just doesn’t work for them easily. It’s either Nayeon will become busy after setting it, or Mina would be too busy for her work and will take a day off from ballet. It’s not a big deal but Nayeon hoped she would be able to see it at least once. “Maybe next time?” Mina gave a quick peck on Nayeon’s hands before giving a chuckle. “I’m not planning to stop doing ballet anytime soon anyway.” Nayeon was reassured enough by Mina’s actions. She trusts Mina in everything. “Maybe next time.”

“I’m nervous.” Mina says as she pushes herself into Nayeon's arms. There were people sitting around in the stadium waiting for Mina to perform. Her coach set her up into a little opening performance for an event. Of course Mina was excited, but being nervous comes with it too, don’t they? “It’s gonna be okay, baby. I know you can do it.” Nayeon says and kisses Mina’s temple. The girl was wearing a white and gold tutu and a face set with makeup. Nayeon thinks she’s very beautiful.

When the coach called for Mina, Nayeon gave her another kiss. Nayeon ran towards her seat and  waited for Mina to come out. The music started and the red curtains were moved to the side. A spotlight hit Mina’s figure and Nayeon was mesmerized. Mina started to sway and do her thing. Everything was swift and perfect and Nayeon found herself not minding to be with Mina for the rest of her life. “I’m so proud of you.” She exhales.

“I don’t know about you but it seems to me that you’re not being a good girlfriend.” Sana sternly called out Mina. She was left speechless when Momo went to talk to her too. “Sweetie, do you understand what we mean? You haven't seen Nayeon properly in almost four months because of the world tour and you’re dressed like that?” Mina looked at herself in the mirror. Like this? Mina was wearing a t-shirt from a pop-rock band, comfortable pants, and white shoes. What is wrong with this?

“What is even wrong with my outfit?” She asked, utterly confused, why her friend’s were scolding her about this. “You look unprepared!” Sana swore. “How is this unprepared? This is my favorite shirt!” Mina was offended by how Momo and Sana looked at her. “Exactly why you shouldn’t wear it.” Momo paced around, looking really disappointed and Mina was exhausted.

“Just change. This, or this, just anything!” Sana declutters all her clothes out and shows it to Momo, then to Mina. A tight-fitting dress, a super short dress, and one with the combination of both. “Why do I even need to wear those to see her…” Sana huffed in disbelief. “To impress her, you idiot!”

Mina settled with a simple dress that thank god Momo agreed on. Keep it simple. She says to herself. Because she knows Nayeon would love to see her regardless.

Mina and Nayeon decided to meet at the airport because Nayeon was homesick, and South Korea isn’t the only place she missed. Mina was now waiting alongside these people who were also waiting for her. There were probably a hundred people with big cameras, phones, and tarpaulins ready to welcome home their beloved Im Nayeon. Mina chose to wait among them, rather than in the car, so Nayeon would see her first.

“Are you Nayeon’s girlfriend?” A young kid, probably at the age of seven, poking Mina. Nayeon has shared a few photos of her and Mina online so she wouldn’t be that mysterious but will still keep privacy for her. She smiles at the kid tenderly because how can such a child this young, accept a relationship almost taboo in the country. “Yes.” She answers. “Then you’re also waiting for her!” The kid was excited and was jumping around. “Can I take a picture with you? You’re so pretty!” Mina is fond of kids. She thinks they’re very cute and innocent. “Of course.” She whispers.

The crowd gathered around the entrance signifying that the idol just arrived and is now in the area. She pats the kids head before looking to find Nayeon herself. Nayeon is the prettiest. Camera flashes were everywhere and her pretty face shines. She was smiling wide and thanking everyone. Posing for a wave or for her fans to take good pictures of her. Mina is the proudest. She admires her from the back of the crowd, with a smile that was like the glowing sunshine. Nayeon, of course, notices her. Mina has the brightest smile among them after all.

She walked towards where she was waiting. People were following her but the security guards were keeping her surroundings free and spacious. She stands in front of Mina, who was with a cap covering her face, and smiles. “Hi.” Nayeon smiles wider. “Hello, you.” Fans were screaming for the interaction of the couple and it was deafening. Good-deafening for Nayeon. She grabbed Mina’s hand and walked towards their van. “Mina is so pretty! Nayeon is so pretty! I had a picture with Mina!” The kid yelled, grabbing Nayeon’s attention so she looked back at the kid. Nayeon is fond of kids, too. She likes them a lot. “Did you really take a picture with hwd?” Nayeon baby talks her way to the child. The little kid nodded several times, “Yes! I like Mina a lot!” She ecstatically replied. “How about Nayeon? Don’t you want a picture with me?” The kid was very happy that night.

Nayeon and Mina eventually came to their van and sat down. “I missed you.” She says and locks her lips with Mina. “I like you the most though.” Mina giggled. Nayeon really takes everything as a competition, even with a kid.

On their third anniversary, they decided to visit Mina’s parents in Japan. Nayeon was greeted like an old family, very welcomed. She couldn’t be more thankful. Mina’s father was doing much better. He is happier and healthier than before. “Nayeon! Come here!” He called as he placed a seedling bag under the dirt, “See, when you come visit again next time, this would be as tall as you.” Her father laughed, implying an innocent joke about Nayeon’s height. “Maybe it would be Mina’s height first?” Nayeon laughed and Mina’s father did too, “You’re the same height. Aren’t you?” Mina’s mother came into the scene with Mina, full of fruits into their hands. Nayeon denied. “No, no. I’m taller!”

Then that leads to the younger couple measuring their height, back facing each other. “I’m taller, right?” Nayeon says. Her parents were carefully observing and critically thinking. They were laughing uncontrollably and finally, they decided. “You’re the same height. Mina is just stretched out.” The three laughed hard, leaving Mina feeling defeated. Nayeon kisses her forehead for reassuring purposes.

Later that day, Nayeon just had to talk to her Father. “Sir.” Nayeon sat down on the patio with Mina’s dad. He smiled at Nayeon. “I’m ready to ask permission now.” Nayeon was nervous and it was evident so Mr. Myoui chuckled. “Can I marry your daughter?” Mr. Myoui looked at Nayeon, he wasn’t stern but he made Nayeon nervous a lot. I mean, a future father-in-law? Of course, she would be nervous. “I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be ‘Can I take your daughter”s hand in marriage’, right?” He joked to lessen the tension that was building inside Nayeon. Nayeon giggled. “Yes, Sir.” He  breathed in  and smiled. “Permission was already yours, darling.”

A few months after that event, Nayeon didn't get a chance to propose at all. Whenever she’s free, she’ll spend that time having fun with Mina. On little dates, movie dates, everything. So Nayeon couldn’t find the time to do it. She already bought a ring back in Japan when Mina was busy shopping with her parents and Nayeon excused herself. It was a beautiful diamond ring, not too shiny nor heavy. It looks perfect. It’s not easy because she doesn't know if Mina feels the same about marriage, if she likes it or not.

One night, she asked Mina blatantly. Mina didn’t have a clue since Nayeon was the type to ask random things on random days. “What do you feel about marriage?” Mina thought hard. “I mean, I’m not against it.” She says and Nayeon swore she almost proposed to her right there even though the ring was hiding in her coat’s pocket upstairs.

“Yeah?” “Yeah.”

Nayeon started to count.

One

Two

Three…

Five…

Ten…

Fifteen…

Twenty…

Nayeon didn’t want to continue. She planned Twenty Seven times but it just wouldn’t happen. She just hopes she didn’t slip up in those numerous tries.

But she did at her Twenty Eight try.

It was over an intimate dance in the sheets when she said it. They were panting and gasping for air while laying in their shared bed, head empty and fulfilled desires. Nayeon would lie if she says Mina isn’t beautiful inside and out. She was. She is. She is very beautiful. She thinks Mina is an art created by God especially for her to see, and touch. Her silky soft skin, toned legs, and bare arms is Nayeon’s favorite thing to touch. She lay a hand into Mina’s cheek, touching it so softly and looking straight into Mina’s ever so wondering eyes. “What?” Mina giggled. Intimacy is Nayeon’s strongest forte. Her soft touch towards her skin, her lips gently on top of hers. Mina gazes at Nayeon’s hooded eyes and smiles, waiting. Nayeon shifted closer to Mina, “Marry me.” She breathed into Mina’s mouth. “Oh dearest, marry me.”

And Mina answered Yes.

The public was notified a year later of their marriage. Mina and Nayeon have decided to stay in Seoul for a while since it was still too early for Nayeon to retire from her work and move to the other side of the World. Mina has inherited her family’s business, and will take over in the near future. Jeongyeon, Nayeon’s Manager, dates Momo now. Sana and Dahyun have been together after the wedding. Nayeon’s fame was still at the top with no sign of going down whatsoever.

And in time, of course, a married wife wants to have a child on her own. Mina wanted kids. It was over a date in a waterpark that was full of kids, or couples with kids, when Mina broke the ice over it. “What do you think of kids?” Nayeon looked at the view Mina was eyeing. A family of three, with the baby on the mother’s arm, crying, while the father was trying to cheer the baby up. “I love them.” She says and kisses Mina’s nose. Nayeon knows what she wants from her.

“You’ve been into crocheting, aren’t you?” Nayeon said as she looked at the girl and her face lit up. “Yes.” Once, Mina gave the idol a handmade crochet bag and she almost took it everywhere with her, like literally. “I think It’s time for you to make little ones. Maybe shoes? Or a blanket?” Mina looked at her wife with widened eyes. “Are you serious?” she asked, in a pitch high voice. Nayeon giggled and kissed her. “Of course, baby. Well, wife since If we have a child, you will not be my baby anymore”  she says and Mina showered her with kisses.

Nine months later and a baby girl was born. “My lovely daughter” Nayeon baby talks to their daughter and Mina smiles at them whenever that happens. Her heart now beats for two, forever.

Three years later, their daughter was old enough to run around the house, making Mina exhausted every time. One day, the little girl was running around the entire house with Mina following her just to make sure she wouldn’t slip or anything, then Nayeon came home early to luckily see this. “Here!”, Nayeon brought the little one up in the air while showering her with kisses. “How are you? How are you?” she asked “I’m okay, Mama!” she said and continued to run around when was brought down. “How are you, honey?” Nayeon gave Mina a kiss, “Tired. Go look after her for a while, I’m going to cook us dinner.”

Nayeon did so. When their kid finally let her energy die down a bit, she grabbed Nayeon’s hands and made their way up into their room. “Mama, I found this in Mommy’s drawer.” she said and brought up Nayeon’s lyric book. When she brought it up, two pieces of paper fell down. Mina eventually comes into the room quietly and notices the familiar paper, she smiles.

Nayeon took it and kissed her daughter on her forehead. “Come here.” She sat her on her lap and she noticed the two pieces of torn paper fit each other.

She found half of the torn paper in the last page of her own lyric notebook. Nayeon was euphoric and reminded her of seven years ago, where she would annoy Mina to death just to let her read the full letter. Only to find out that it has always been on the back of her favorite notebook. Nayeon immediately reconnects the two pieces of paper together and it read;

I know that as we grow older, things may change. Our minds may wander, and life may throw us curve balls that we never expected. But I want you to know that no matter what happens, my love for you will never fade. I will love you as we grow older, which will just happen, and will happen again, and will happen several days from now, continuously, and then several years after that, and will continue to happen as the flipping pages of every calendar mark the passage of time.

I promise to cherish every moment we have together, whether it's a lazy Sunday afternoon or an adventure-filled trip.

You are the brightest star I have ever seen,

Im Nayeon, I love you.

Nayeon cried her eyes out that time. She loves Mina, with all her heart ever since and Mina does too, even more than what she said in her letter.

 “Myoui Mina, I love you.”

The end.
