Previously, you were at: A strange conversation
And you decided to: "Pack up from the beach and head home."

...you're here because you'd like to start heading back home from the beach.

Work Text:

"Anna, it's starting to get a little cold just standing here on the shoreline," I gesture to the waves and spray of the sea, "I was thinking about starting to head back home."

"Oh, of course. Look at all those goose pimples, you poor thing," she sits up and I see her saunter over to her desk. "That works out well for me too. I've got a dinner that I need to get ready for. I still haven't had a shower or anything. Maybe we can catch up later, in an hour or something?"

"Sure that'd be perfect, that'll give me plenty of time to pack up and get home," I'm back on the sandy shoreline now.

"And there no way to turn these things off, is there?" Anna asks, then looks me up and down, "even while I'm getting ready?"

"Doesn't look like it. I think we've got a permanent connection," I shake my head, thinking back to what we've observed about the orbs so far, "And yeah, it seems to follow us around."

"So while I'm in the shower..." She starts to mention it and trails off.

"Oh, oh, that. Of course. Ground rules, I'll make sure you have your privacy, on my honour," I bring my palm to my chest and nod solemnly.

Anna laughs at that, "That's very sweet of you to be so puritan, thank you." Then a mischievous look flashes across her face, "You can peek if you want to though, I'm not shy." With that, Anna places the orb on her desk. It looks like she's got a special wooden holder for it, to prevent it rolling around I suppose.

I watch as she heads to the shower and begins changing. I immediately blush, thinking of the curious invitation to observe her if I wanted. That feels a little out of place at the moment, so I palm the orb without a further glance and begin walking down the shoreline.
