SPYRO THE DRAGON FINAL REBOOT
THE FOUR DRAGONS (Adaptation of the first Spyro Game)
Gnasty Gnorc, an orc-like being whom was banished form the Dragon realms eons ago for causing trouble, has returned. He has discovered a spell which he uses to imprison all the dragons into crystal statue, turn gems into servants and hired thieves to steal their eggs.
Four young dragons avoided the spell by falling in a crevice. These include the kind and brave but cocky Spyro, the big, strong but shy and timid Flame, the sweet but slightly vain Ember and the distant and sarcastic Cynder. They are also joined by Spyro’s best friend, a dragonfly called Sparx. In the crevice they find a statue of a Dragon Elder with an amulet. Once they bring the amulet to the surface, they find what happened to the other Dragons.
They find the Gnorcs and beasts created by Gnasty and find the Amulet is able to release the Dragons from imprisonment. Though the dragons still feel drained afterwards and unable to take the fight to Gnasty until they have recovered. So the four set out on their own.
Each of them have flaws to overcome. Spyro is arrogant and cocky and tends to think that he can do everything himself. He has to learn to work with others and accept them as friends.
Flame is learning to come out of his shell. Suffered from bullying because despite his size he was bullied for being soft. Until he shows that being kind doesn’t mean weak and show his strength.
Ember is innocently insensitive with her comments. She is kind-hearted but has trouble working empathy, but becomes attuned to the other’s feelings over time.
Cynder is distant because she is born with a mark on her forehead, a mark which means that someday she is destined to bring forth a great disaster. However, her friends don’t care about that, knowing Cynder is a good person and they won’t give up on her.
Cynder and Ember both get feelings for Spyro whom despite his cocky side shows great empathy and kindness. Cynder doesn’t intend to fight for Spyro as she is insecure, and the whole ‘Marked’ thing. But Ember doesn’t want to hurt her friendship with Cynder and remain friendly, even trying to give her confidence.
Flame looks up to Spyro as a friend and brother but has feelings for Ember, and is sad Ember sees him only as a friend. But he can’t be mad at Spyro because Spyro is obvious about love. However, Ember shifts her feelings from Spyro to Flame when the latter showed great courage and a valiant demeanor when protecting her. Though Spyro and Cynder get some moments, they don’t get together just yet.
After fighting through the various Dragon Worlds and Gnasty’s minions they take the fight to Gnasty himself. Gnasty mentioned how he suffered prejudice all his life. Being a gnome/orc hybrid but belonging with neither, both communities rejected him. The Dragons also only saw him as an ugly brute. So he caused problems, he was lashing out. But he proved he is not as dumb as he was able to find an ancient spell to crystallize them. And while the original spell took a lot out of him, he has slowly regaining strength to cast it again but this time he won’t miss the young ones.
Cynder tried to reach out to Gnasty, saying that she was also prejudiced against due to being born with a Mark. But she found friends whom were willing to stand by her, so its not too late for Gnasty. Gnasty says that he has come too far. He fights the heroes, and proves a tough foe. Finally he has regained the strength to cast the spell and directly aims at the heroes, but they use the amulet to block it, and reflect the spell, crystallizing Gnasty but destroying the amulet.
The heroes are being celebrated (even Cynder at the insistence of her friends) and consider a vacation to Dragon Shores. Meanwhile the Dragon Elders are wondering where Gnasty found the spell as it is the darkest of magic. The Amulet itself was also a relic from a previous generation of Elders whom have banished a deity called the Dark Master with it. If the amulet could counter Gnasty’s magic, it shows that it was clearly a powerful form of Dark Magic. And it doesn’t bode well that this type of magic is circulating yet again.
GATEWAY TO GLIMMER (Spyro 2 Adaptation)
In a realm called Avalar, an experiment by a Professor, assisted by the Faun Elora and the cheetah Hunter, goes awry as it summons a short-statured but powerful dinosaur-like Ripto and his minions Crush and Gulp. Ripto decides to conquer Avalar upon realizing there are no dragons. He starts summoning his Riptoc Army through the portal, but Elora’s fairy friend Zoe and the other fairies take away the Orbs powering it, cutting Ripto off from the majority of his army.
Ripto won’t back down and decides to still conquer Avalar. Neither Elora or Hunter can stand up to his magic. But they realize Ripto doesn’t like dragons and maybe they can bring a few over to stand up against Ripto. They build another portal in secret. They intended to contact the Dragons, but accidentally summon Spyro, Flame, Ember and Cynder. Ripto soon arrives to destroy the portal, trapping the heroes in Avalar, though Ripto loses his wand in the scuffle and retreats.
Elora and her friends apologize as they didn’t mean to strand the heroes in Avalar, where Ripto is now taking over, and they will only be able to get home once Ripto is out of the way. The heroes never back down on a chance of helping people, so agree.
They would travel across the lands of Avalar. Though Ripto only had a small part of his army going through, Ripto has recruited unsavory elements from Avalar to join his army, or creating new minions with the stolen Spirit power of Avalar. If this goes on, Ripto may do irreparable damage to Avalar due to abuse of the Spirit power. So they need to collect the talismans and the Orbs to restore the natural balance of their world.
Elora and her crew help the heroes along the way, with Elora and Spyro growing closer and Cynder feels the same insecurities in regards to love. She also can’t blame Elora since she is sweet and didn’t know about her feelings. When Elora figures out about Cynder’s feelings she still hopes that it doesn’t ruin their friendship.
Fighting through those aligned with Riptocs, obtaining the magical relics and dealing with the greedy bear Moneybags, the heroes arrive at Ripto’s lair. Ripto says how everyone always looked down upon him, in every sense of the word. He never had size like the other Dinosauroids, nor the magic of the Dragons, until he obtained his magic scepter. Now he has recreated it using a crystal stolen from the Professor, he is ready to lay the smackdown on the heroes.
However, Ripto is defeated and falls to his demise in the lava below the arena. As the Professor restores the portal, the heroes finally can go to Dragon Shores. Elora kisses Spyro’s cheek to thank him for his heroism. Before Cynder can do anything, she also gets kissed on the cheek by Elora whom tells her: ‘Think about it’.
As the heroes enjoy their vacations, the Elders come together again, having heard about Ripto from the four Young Dragons. They are surprised as dinos shouldn’t be able to do magic, even with the relic, so what did Ripto do that allowed him to harness magic like that?
YEAR OF THE DRAGON
Thieves from the other side of the world, the Forgotten Worlds, come in and steal the Dragon eggs. So Spyro, Cynder, Ember and Flame go through the tunnels they made to travel to the other realm and recover the eggs. They are joined by Hunter, Sparx and Zoe.
The Forgotten World are ruled by the Sorceress, and she is joined by her adopted daughter and apprentice Bianca. They have stolen the Dragon Eggs because the magic in their homeworld is dying out. If they don’t restore the magic, the Sorceress will die, and so may most of the realm itself. And they’d do anything to prevent that from happening.
The heroes start gathering the eggs and save the hatchlings. They gain several allies among the way, among them the four leaders of the Rebellion against the Sorceress, Sheila Kangaroo, Sgt. Byrd the flying Penguin, Bentley the Yeti and Agent 9 the monkey. They also meet with the Professor again, whom originally was from the Forgotten Worlds but studied in Avalar for a while.
Bianca tries to get in the heroes’ way, while also convincing them she means no harm, just wanting to fix the magic of their homeworld. The heroes point out that they could have just asked for help. If she returns the remaining eggs, they can ask their fellow dragons for help. Bianca wants to accept, but is prevented by the Sorceress’ orders. Also doesn’t help is that she and Hunter gain a crush on each other as they keep running into each other.
Zoe and Sparx also get in on the action as they crawl through tiny spaces to reach hard to reach Dragon eggs and become a battle couple in the progress.
The heroes continue gathering the eggs, and learn that the Dragons used to live in the Forgotten Realms until the Sorceress banished after a disagreement. But that resulted in the magic dying, it was a problem of her own making. Bianca also learns the Sorceress only planned to use the hatchlings’ dragon wings in a ritual to make her immortal, and then plans to destroy the Dragons afterwards. She also admits that she killed Bianca’s parents but spared her because she had magic potential. Bianca turns on the Sorceress and joins the heroes.
The heroes confront the Sorceress after fighting through her Rhynoc army. They ask if like Gnasty and Ripto if she also had problems with the Dragons. The Sorceress said she just wanted power, and the Dragons tried stopping her, that’s all. Unlike those two she doesn’t hide whom she truly is. The heroes, disgusted with her, fight her and knock her in the lava. However, she survives.
She retreats into a Secret realm, which the heroes managed to enter with Bianca’s help. The Sorceress, maddened, vows on how she’ll crush everyone, dragon or anyone helping them alike. She will do anything to live on, even if she ends up the last living thing on the planet. The heroes defeat her once again, and falls into a magical kind of acidic substance and she is destroyed for good.
In the aftermath, Bianca and Hunter are now dating. Elora visits Spyro and Cynder, asking the latter if she thought about it. Cynder agrees, though she and Elora wonder how to bring it to Spyro. Also the Dragon and Forgotten Realms become allies and work on a way to return the Magic to the Forgotten realms.
Once again the Dragon Elders are worried about something. They destroyed the notes of the ritual the Sorceress wanted to use, but got to take a good look at it. Between Gnasty, Ripto and now the Sorceress wielding lost forbidden Dark Magic, it starts to become a pattern that the Dark Master may rise again and bring a resurgence of dark Magics.
SEASONS TO REMEMBER (Combines elements of Enter the Dragonfly, Season of Flame, Season of Ice and Attack of the Rhynocs)
A Rhynoc Sorcerer called Grendor manages to obtain a crystal statue and a block of hardened Magma. Using a ritual, from the crystal statue and magma, he brings Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto back and forms an alliance against the Dragons. Grendor wants to avenge the Sorceress, whom unlike the other two villains can’t be brought back since the last battle utterly destroyed her.
They start capturing the Fairies in the Three Realms (Dragon, Forgotten and Avalar). Since the Fairies are important to the magical balance, it affects everything.
Spyro and friends were ready to learn under the Elemental Dragon sages before the fairies are taken. The heroes hence search for the fairies to restore the magical balance in the worlds. Cynder meanwhile, has been suffering from nightmares, seeing a demonic shadowy dragon in her dreams. The situation is getting to her and she is becoming more aggressive.
The Dragon Quartet and their allies from Avalar and the Forgotten realms band together and deal with Gnasty, Ripto and Grendor’s forces, defeating all of them and sending them running. The three villains regroup in a castle they built in the Badlands. There Grendor contacts the spirit whom told him about the Fairy magic and their crucial part in the balance. The Dark Spirit also mentions he is the one whom guided Ripto and Gnasty towards the very magics they used to conquer Avalar and crystallize the dragons.
The heroes catch up with the villain trio, but the Dark Spirit exerts his influence over the three villains and they fuse together into a chimeric monster. The heroes fight to their fullest but the creature gives it trouble. Furthermore, the spirit’s presence starts to affect Cynder. She snaps and uses the elements of Fear to stun the creature, Poison to weaken it and the Shadows to tear it apart. She nearly goes berserk, until her friends talk her down. Though it is Spyro and Elora admitting they both love her that does the trick.
The Fairies are all freed and the realms are saved. Spyro, Cynder and Elora are together but the threat of the Dark Master still looms.
HEROES’ TAIL (A Hero’s tail & Shadow Legacy)
The Dark Master’s return draws closer. Now his personal Prophet Red, a treacherous Dragon Elder long banished, puts his Master’s plan into motion. Spreading Dark Gems across the realms and suck the life and goodness out of everything. The heroes rise up again to deal with the problem. Aside their allies of the Three Realms they go out to destroy these Dark Gems. They also gather the Light Gems, their natural counterparts, to purge as much of the dark influence as possible.
Though the presence of Dark Gems affects Cynder and Malefor speaks to her in her dreams. It is inevitable that she’d fall to darkness. Malefor said that like her he was Marked, and he tried fighting it without result. Cynder argues that she has friends, she is not alone like him. But Malefor points out they still are afraid of her.
They fight Red’s forces, among them Gnasty Gnorc, whom Red revived. However, after defeat he breaks free of Red’s spell and he wants to get back at Red for turning him into a puppet. So he promises to help the Heroes get to Red.
Fighting more of Red’s minions, they face the corrupted former Elder himself. He is no match for the Four Dragons until the Dark Master possesses him. The heroes barely are able to fight him off. Though before they could finish it, the Dark master-possessed Red pulls off a trick and has Spyro, Flame and Ember trapped in dark tendrils, crushing them. Cynder is given a choice, become a vessel for his power or watch her friends die. A regretful Cynder gives herself up.
Red is left to die as an unworthy vessel as Cynder is possessed and matures into an adult form and leaves. The heroes mourn the loss of Cynder, but vow to save her.
LEGENDS OF DARKNESS (Legend of Spyro trilogy)
A Dark Master possessed Cynder has accumulated an army of Apes, Grublins and Dog pirates and prepares to conquer the three Realms, with Spyro and his friends acting as a Rebellion. All while most people are trying to find a way to save Cynder.
The remaining three Dragons have trained with the Elemental Dragon Sages to learn elemental control, Bianca is a full fledged Sorceress, and Elora has been become a Spirit Sage. Even Gnasty Gnorc, having reformed since the last game, pulls his weight. They fight through the Armies and try to push them back.
However, despite their best efforts, the army keeps going strong and the Elemental Sage Dragons are captured. They set out to save them one by one. On the inside, Cynder is still fighting the Dark Master’s influence.
However, during certain times Spyro, Ember and Flame faint and find themselves in an aethereal realm. Cynder finds herself there too, but realize they aren’t in the physical realm. There they are guided by the Chronicler, an Ancient draconic deity said to have written the world in existence. He gives them spiritual training which would serve the heroes in the future. However, they can only be brought here moments at a time and return after a session is over, so hence Cynder would be trapped inside her possessed body again. But she vows to fight on the inside.
Eventually Cynder is released from the Dark master’s possession. However, the Dark Master drained enough energy from the Elemental Sages to recreate his body. He would retreat to get used to his new body.
After fighting through more of his minions, the heroes (with Cynder included once more) reach Malefor. He plans to destroy the world and recreate it in his image by summoning the Destroyer, a Golem of Apocalypse-level power. The heroes fight Malefor on top of the Golem.
Malefor tries to tempt Cynder with the Darkness once more, but Cynder resists this time. Once and for all defying her fate, with sheer will, she breaks the Mark on her forehead, and replacing it with a new one symbolizing her friend and loved ones. Malefor says it should be impossible, yet she did.
The Four heroes then tap into all their power and training and destroy Malefor for good. In his final moments Malefor couldn’t help but wonder if there had been a point in time he could have fought his fate like Cynder before fading away. With his death, the Destroyer becomes inactive and vanishes once more.
The Dragon realms are saved and everyone celebrates.
In an epilogue we see a pregnant Elora with Cynder and Spyro watching over a clutch of eggs. The other couples (Ember/Flame, Zoe/Sparx, Bianca/Hunter) have also started families. Even Gnasty has found the love of his life, a female orc. The people of the Three Realms enjoyed an era of peace.
The series ends with Cynder, Spyro and Elora looking on as the eggs start to shake, ready to hatch.

SPYRO FINAL REBOOT CHARACTER LIST
MAIN PROTAGONISTS
Spyro
Cocky and arrogant, but surprisingly attuned to other’s feelings with a great degree of empathy and kindness.
Spyro is an Artisan so is well versed in a series of crafts, writing and music and said creativity gives him an edge to get one over opponents bigger and stronger then him. But not smarter.
Is the most well-rounded, perfect balance of smarts, strength, magic and flight. Is also the best at combining elements. Has mastered Fire, Water, Electricity, Earth, Ice and Aether.
Ember
Sweet and kind, but can be innocently insensitive at times (though would overcome this at time. Is a bit vain and refers to those she consider friends or loved ones as ‘Darling’. Had a crush on Spyro, but her feelings shifted to Flame, and now they’re together.
She is a Dream Weaver in this universe, and hence she has the ability to Dream Walk and interpret dreams. She is also able to sense mental patterns and detect compulsions and mind control.
She is the best flier, able to lift herself off the ground while the others are still only able to glide at best. She also is the fastest and most agile member. She is physically not very strong and can’t take much damage. The problem is trying to land a hit on her. Aside fire has mastered the elements of Wind and Lightning as well as the Cosmic breath, which can channel starlight creature miniature black holes and attack with bursts of gravity.
Also, like a lot of Dreamweavers in Reignited her wings are featherly and decorated with star-like shines.
Flame
Flame is a Peacekeeper. Despite his size, he is shy and timid and soft-hearted. Bigger than his girth is his heart. And it shines as the heart of a true warrior if his friends are in trouble and need help.
He is bigger and bulkier compared to his mainstream counterpart and his friends. Due to this bulk he is the physically strongest and more durable, able to take more hits, and his charge attack can take out obstacles and foes the others need the Supercharge for. However, his size also costs him agility, and he has the shortest gliding distance and the least developed breath weapons.
His weak magic makes sure he only has mastered the Fire Elements and bits of Earth, but what he does know he can use well enough, and has blended his elemental attacks in his combat techniques, like throwing a fiery punch, earth-shattering stomp ect.
Cynder
Raised a Magic Crafter but her true tribe is unknown since she was abandoned by her parents due to being the Mark. She hence was apparently destined to bring great disaster, and as a result was an outcast until she met her friends. Quiet and withdrawn but has a sarcastic streak a mile wide. Trying to appear distance, she secretly desires acceptance.
She would find acceptance by her new friends, and eventually love in Spyro and Elora. In the end she was able to avert her destiny and remain a hero despite efforts by the forces of Darkness to control her.
While physically she is as well rounded as Spyro, where she excels at is Breath weapons and elemental magic. She in fact has the best mastery of elemental magics. Aside Fire, she has mastered the elements of Wind, Shadow, Poison, Fear and Aether.
Sparx
Sparx is a True Dragonfly, which unlike normal dragonflies, makes him sentient, and he has a degree of magic of his own. His magic allows him to shoot fire as well, as well as defensive magic that allows him to protect his friends.
He is Spyro’s best friend ever since Spyro saved him from a bird as a larvae and has been like brothers since. Heck, Sparx’ parents Flash and Nina consider Spyro a second son.
He is fully capable of speech, and he and Spyro tend to playfully rib one another. He is loyal to a fault and despite his size would not hesitate to jump in the action with Spyro.
ALLIES FROM THE DRAGON REALMS
Also known as Draconea. In this universe, two scrapped tribes from the games, the Aquifiers (whom hold domain over the bodies of water in the Dragon realms) and the Mechanists (the tinkerers and inventors).
Nestor
The Master crafter of the Artisans, which is the equivalent of being their leader. He is also Spyro’s father.
Artemisia
Spyro’s mother, a musician. She and several other dragons form a rock band, of which she is the lead guitarist and singer, called Dragonpyre.
Magnus and Gunnar
Two Peacekeeper Dragons whom are Flame’s parents.
Magnus is a rotund red jolly dragon whom is a master sumowrestler, his huband Gunnar a more serious but still caring brawler.
Astra
Cynder’s adopted mother, whom had taken her in and raised her after Cynder was abandoned by her own parents. Her magic revolves Oracle magic, but oddly enough, unlike other Oracles acknowledges prophecies and destinies aren’t absolute. She herself is met with weird gazes as she prefers the studies of what goes in against Oracle magic.
Copano and Melinoe
Ember’s parents. Copano is a Dream Weaver in charge of making calming and soothing brews for a good night’s sleep. And Melinoe is a Nightmare hunter, chasing and eliminating nightmares.
Revilo
Ember’s grandfather and Melinoe’s father, loves knitting. Loves giving life advice but tends to be cryptic.
Charity
Ember’s older sister. She is a sand-dragon (equivalent of a sandman) and it is her task to forge and use magic sand to bring sleep to the sleep-deprived and insomniac people.
Mecha
A Machinist Dragon and Charity’s wife. She is a portal technician, keeping the Draconea’s portals up to date.
The Council of Dragons
Made up of the Leaders of the various Tribes whom are the ruling body of the Dragon Realms. Aside the aforementioned Nestor, the remaining members are:
- Titan is the Chief Warrior and Leader of the Peacekeepers. Also godfather of Flame.
- Cosmos is the Archmage and Leader of the Magic Crafters
- Bruno is the Alpha Beastmaster and Leader of the Beastkeepers
- Lateef is the Supreme Weaver and leader of the Dream Weavers
- Amphitrite is the Chieftess and leader of the Aquifyiers
- Gadget is the Prime Tinkerer and hence she is leader of the Machinists.
The Elemental Sages
Masters of their respective element, in charge of tutoring young dragons in the elemental arts.
- Ignitus is the Sage of Fire, and the Godfather of Spyro. An Artisan poet prior to becoming a Sage.
- Volteer is the Sage of Electricity. And a chatterbox. Formerly a Machinist.
- Cyril is the Sage of Ice. True to his element, cold, composed and calculated. Formerly a Magic Crafter
- Terrador is the Sage of Earth. Formerly a Peacekeeper. Despite being a Sage now, still enjoys a good brawl.
- Ezili is the Sage of Water. True to her element, she hails from the Aquifiers. Mellow and motherly.
- Iansa is the Sage of Wind. She is a Dream Weaver and Ember’s Godmother. Despite being a capable and competent sage, tends to come off as air-headed and tends to nod off or daydream.
Fairies
Draconea also holds its fair share of fairy tribes, and they live in harmony with all magic in the realm.
- Trina is the ‘checkpoint fairy’ prior to the heroes meeting Zoe. After Zoe becomes part of the team, she is content working at the library in Dark Hollow.
- Blaze is a fairy with an affinity for Fire Magic, and her kiss grants the heroes a temporary boost in their fire breath. She works under Ignitus.
- Other elemental fairies working with the sages include Amper (an electric Fairy), Freezia (an ice fairy), Aqua (a water fairy), Breezie (a wind fairy) and Terra (an Earth fairy).
- The Bee Fairies are a trio of bee-themed fairies, whom have special magic that allow them to carry heavy loads. They can use this power to save much larger and heavier dragons from falling to their deaths. They are a combination of the fairies from Lofty Castle and High caves. They consist of Bibi, Honey and Vespi.
- Titania is the Queen of the Fairies, and hence their leader. While a kind and fair ruler, also loves to get into mischief.
- Zee is the fairy whom runs the Flight levels, which are a sport and a fun pastime for the dragons. She acts as an organizer and announcer for the event.
Marco the Balloonist
A gnome in aviator gear whom helps the heroes traverse the Dragon Realms. He is a combination of all the balloonists in the first game.
AVALAR ALLIES
Elora
A Faun (specifically the sub-type of Deer Faun) and the significant other of Spyro and Cynder. She leads the rebellion in Avalar after Ripto took over.
As a faun, she is incredibly fast on her feet, agile and can deliver a mean kick with her hooved feet. As a faun she also has a connection to nature, and like most Fauns she can channel the spirit power of nature through rhythmics like dance and music. Most fauns and satyrs use bagpipes or pan flutes, but Elora uses a recorder flute, as well as her own singing voice.
At the biggest master, aka Spirit Sage, the music can be used to reshape the landscape.
Hunter
A competitive and athletic cheetah. A bit cocky and arrogant not unlike Spyro, though a bit more bumbling. Despite that he is kind and has a sense of justice. And for all his blustering he can back up some claims as he is a gifted athlete, warrior, archer.
He has a pet manta named Waves.
Professor Tomkenneth Talpidae
Just referred to as the Professor, originally hailing form the Forgotten Realms, but had moved abroad to study in Avalar. A good natured professor whom always love to know more about the world around him, tends to be absent-minded and scatter-brained.
His intelligence is not to be questioned as his studies and inventions have been essential for Spyro and his friends in their missions.
Blink Talpidae
The Professor’s nephew. Suffers from Agoraphobia and can’t stand being not underground. Skilled fighter, armed with explosives and laser gloves.
Krista and Spinner
Elora’s mothers, living in Fracture Hills.
Zoe
Elora’s bestie, Sparx’s girlfriend, a spunky tomboyish fairy whom is ready for action.
Handel and Greta
Despite their child appearances, they are actually a pair of fae siblings. They are part of the Avalar Secret Service, a pair of some of their most competent (mostly competent at least) agents. They also take missions out of Avalar, and during the takeover of Malefor they were the go to duo to gather intel.
Richard Moneybags
A bear whom always seeks to increase his own wealth. He often acts as an obstacle for the heroes, trying to get gems out of them in exchange for favors or unblocking paths. While calling him an ally is iffy, he is not a villain. Just a greedy jerk.
FORGOTTEN REALM ALLIES
The Forgotten Realms were the original realm of the Dragons, originally called Remembrance (and the name it took again after the Sorceress’ defeat).
Sheila the Kangaroo
One of the four leaders of the Rebellion. A tough as nails kangaroo girl whose kicks can send even the largest of Rhynocs flying. But she is also a sweetheart. Aside leading the rebellion she acts as the den mother for her three goat neighbors she has to get out of trouble.
Sgt. James Byrd
One of the leaders of the Rebellion. Raised by hummingbirds, he somehow was able to learn to fly under his own power. No one knows how he did this, aside him claiming ‘no one told him he couldn’t’. His adopted parents were military, so he joined as well, and has risen in the ranks. He could be more then Sergeant, but he had refused since he loves to be on the front lines.
Bentley the Yeti
A strong and kind-hearted, as well as well-spoken Yeti and one of the Leaders of the rebellion. Similar to Flame, he is big in strength and in heart. Cares a lot about his little brother Bartholomew. He has a club made from Eternal Ice, a type of magical ice that can never melt or break.
Agent 9
The Professor’s adopted son. Found as a wounded little monkey in the wild after being roughed up by Rhynocs, the professor gave him a healing cure that accidentally made him sentient. Now he is a trigger-happy, laser-toting action monkey. He keeps watch over the Professor’s lab when he is studying in Avalar. He is one of the leaders of the Rebellion.
Bianca
The Sorceress’ adopted daughter and apprentice, though not being treated by her as such. In fact her parents were former leaders of the Rebellion that the Sorceress wiped out, only sparing Bianca due to her magical affinity.
While loyal to her adopted mother, upon learning the truth about the Sorceress’ plans and the truth about her birth parents she turned on them and became part of the Rebellion. As well as Hunter’s girlfriend.
Fairies
The Forgotten Realms have their own population of fairies.
- Princess Ami – The ruling monarch of the fairies in the Forgotten World. Has a Romeo and Juliet-type romance going on with Azrael, Prince of the Cat wizards.
- Gabrielle – A blue Ice fairy whom helps Spyro unlock his ice breath in Frozen altars.
- Isabelle is a fairy whom is part of the rebellion and Sgt. Byrd’s girlfriend.
- Thalia is a fairy in Gothic attire whom is an aide at the Professor’s lab in Avalar and manages whenever he is out. She has a sarcastic disposition rivaling Cynder’s, and tries (with mixed results) to keep the scatterbrained Professor on track. Despite her biting comments she cares for the Professor as a mentor and teacher.
OTHER ALLIES
Jinx
A magical bat, whom thanks to her magical nature is sentient and capable of speech not unlike Sparx. She is an ally to Sparx and Zoe whom helps them during the Sparx missions.
She is a sweetheart, but she is ‘a few butterflies short of a kaleidoscope’, as Sparx puts it. Crazy, random, unpredictable, with an affinity for Toon physics and fourth wall breaks. Despite her craziness, she can be counted upon as an ally.
She would go on to date the fairy Thalia.
The Chronicler
A deity the Dragons worship, whom is said to have brought the world into existence with his writing. He has subtly guided our heroes through their early adventures and provides them with training in the Spirit realm when facing the Dark Master.
Chapter 3: Villains

SPYRO FINAL REBOOT CHARACTER LIST
GNASTY GNORC
Born to the union of a gnome and an orc, as a hybrid he belonged with neither and was looked down upon and ridiculed. He started lashing out and causing problems until he was banished. When he returned he had discovered spells to crystallize dragons and turn gems into Gnorc warriors in his own image and make the dragons pay. He set the events into motion that created the famous quartet of heroic dragons, and ends up defeated by them when his crystallizing spell was deflected on him.
He would be released from his crystal prison by Grendor and alongside him and Ripto formed an alliance to take the Fairies and their power for themselves. From the Dark Master he learned the magic he found and studied was the Dark Master’s. He would be fused into the Chimera with the other two villains and destroyed when torn apart by a rogue Cynder.
He would be revived once more by Red to act as a general, but was defeated. Free of brainwashing, he was tired of being manipulated, by both the Dark master and Red. He helped the heroes get to Red to stop him.
When the Dark Master returned, he acted as part of the rebellion and seems to have left his life of villainy behind since it never got him anything. After the Dark master’s defeat he was pardoned for his crimes due to his aide. In the epilogue he found love with a female orc called Orcdalia.
Due to Gnorc minions only existing as Gnasty’s creations, Dragon Shores are run by regular orcs.
Toasty
A scarecrow brought to life by Gnasty Gnorc. Unlike the games not a sheep and way more menacing. He has a flaming pumpkin head able to shoot ghostly flames, a scythe charged with demonic magic and the ability to conjure Hellhounds. He is Gnasty’s General overlooking the Artisan world.
Dr. Shemp
A shaman orc whom fancies himself to be so cool, Gnasty’s General in the Peacekeeper realm. Despite his showboating he is a generally competent and dangerous fighter. He likes to frame his fights like a wrestling match with a Gnorc audience cheering him on.
Blowhard
Originally part of a Wizard tribe in the Magic Crafters realm, he sold out to Gnasty Gnorc in exchange for power, and has kidnapped the Wizard King Catbath to blackmail the remaining wizards into compliance. Upon his defeat the King was freed and the Wizards live in peace with the dragons once more.
Sobolov
The silverback gorilla-like leader of the Tree-Dwellers, a tribe of sentient apes whom have always been at odds with the Beastkeepers. He has aligned with Gnasty Gnorc, but was defeated and thrown off the highest tree in the swamp. The Tree-Dwellers afterwards changed leadership to a more benevolent one whom instead seeks peace with the Beastkeepers.
Jacques
Jacques is a Nightmare, a living embodiment of bad dreams and fear. Normally the Dreamweavers take care of Nightamres like him but with them crystallized allowed Jacques and grow in power. Acting as Gnasty’s general in the Dreamweavers world, loyally obeying him for allowing him to thrive. This version of the character, as a stronger Nightmare, is able to create illusions based on the fears, traumas and insecurities of the heroes, making him much more dangerous.
Krakkortle
Gnasty’s pet, an aquatic kraken/Sea turtle hybrid that he left in charge of his troops of the Aquifier realm. It is the only being Gnasty showed any compassion for as he feels for it, being an unwanted hybrid like himself.
He was brought back by Gnasty in Seasons to Remember. He resurfaced in A Hero’s Tail under Ineptune’s control, only to be released from it when Spyro defeated the evil mermaid. It has remained by Gnasty’s side ever since.
Metalhead
Instead of the Beastmakers, Metalhead is reassigned to the Machinist world. A robotic minion of a tall stature and great power. His only weakness is his power supply, which when destroyed shuts him down and makes him vulnerable.
Gnoni
The second sub-boss under Gnasty in Seasons to Remember, a large Gnorc with an Oni mask, samurai gear and a massive kabono weapon.
Gnorcs
Created from the gems of the Dragon World, they are created in Gnasty’s image so Gnasty would have a sense of belonging. However as they are semi-sentient and only extensions of his will they are not very good company.
First used by Gnasty in his debut, they were recreated in Seasons to Remember and A Hero’s Tail, only during that last time Red snatched control away from them once Gnasty came to his senses.
RIPTO
A dinosauroid, a humanoid sentient Dinosaur whom even in his home was a small fish in a big pond. As he didn’t have size or power, he tried his hands at magic. However, Dinosauroids can’t normally use magic as their natural durability comes as the cost of magic. Until Ripto found manuscripts of the Dark master, which allows him to bypass past limitations to use magic and become a feared sorcerer. And decide to conquer worlds.
First arriving in Avalar, he planned to rename it Riptonia, while draining its Spirit Power to make him all powerful. He was however defeated by the heroes and dropped into a pit of lava.
He was revived by Grendor and recruited as part of his alliance in Season to Remember. But after the villains were fused into the Chimera by the Dark master, and when it was torn apart by a rogue Cynder, Ripto died again.
Crush
One of Ripto’s minions. Big and not too bright, he serves as little more then dumb muscle. His sheer brute force and loyalty to Ripto are why he’s kept around.
Originally defeated in Avalar after he got buried in a cave-in he caused by stomping the floor with his club too much. He would be revived in Seasons to Remember to serve Ripto once again but ends up defeated again.
Gulp
Gulp is the second of Ripto’s minions. He is the smarter of Ripto’s minions. Slightly. Only an inch. If he isn’t focused on serving Ripto, he is focused on finding food. He would eat anything that fits in his big mouth. But like Crush, his brute force and ferocity are something to behold.
Originally defeated in Avalar after being bombarded with an arsenal of explosives provided to the heroes. A robotic clone of him was created by Ripto in his final battle but it was destroyed when the heroes powered up with the Elemental Orbs.
Revived in Seasons to Remember only to lose again.
Riptocs
Dinosauroids whom Ripto was able to bribe or threaten in becoming his footsoldiers. Though originally invading Avalar, he only was able to bring a small amount over before the portal was shut down and had only been able to occupy Glimmer.
A remnant of Riptoc became Outlaws in Dino Mines and had aligned with the Sorceress, as well as a few smaller of them terrorizing the Skate park in Sunny Villa but easily dispatched.
They rejoined Ripto in seasons to Remember but didn’t fare much better then before.
THE SORCERESS
Griselda, aka the Sorceress, was once a Greater Salamander whom decided to learn magic. And decided she liked the power. She became power hungry and the dragons then living in Remembrance (before being called the Forgotten Worlds) rose up against her. However, she banished the Dragons with the result that the magic in Remembrance would die out. The Sorceress would device a plan to gather all the Dragon Eggs from the year of the Dragon, then extract the dragon wings of the hatchlings in a wicked ritual to become immortal…and then wipe out all Dragonkind.
However, she would be defeated by the Dragon quartet, twice. The second time she fell in a magical acidic substance which made sure there was nothing left of her to revive her from.
Buzz
A Magma Toad-esque creature created by Bianca at the insistence of the Sorceress to halt the four young dragons’ progress. Defeated when the heroes knocked him in the lava and Sheila stomped on him for good measure.
Spike
A Rhynoc transmogrified by the Sorceress in a large demonic rhino/satyr creature and armed with a powerful cannon. Thanks to Sgt. Byrd providing the heroes with ammo, the four dragons were able to destroy him.
Scorch
Another Rhynoc transformed into a powerful minion by the Sorceress. Resembling a bat/demon out of hell, it was defeated when the heroes were provided with missiles by Bentley.
Bluto
A sub-boss terrorizing Seashell Shores, a Rhynoc riding a robotic shark submarine. Blown up by the heroes, after the local seal folks provided them with an armed watercraft.
Sleepyhead
A sub-Boss in Spooky Swamp. A minor sorcerer Rhynoc which was easily dispatched by the heroes after throwing back the bombs he conjured.
Oolong and Qinglong
A pair of monsters created in the image and as a mockery of Eastern Dragons, terrorizing Fireworks Factory. Thanks to Handel providing a flight/superflame powerup, the both of them were destroyed.
The Four Lords of Pest
The Sorceress hid a few eggs in places where no normal person would go but were still at risk of being found by smaller rebels, like the fairies or Sparx. So to halt Sparx, Zoe and Jinx’s progress she created smaller minions to hold them off. These smaller armies included the Crawdad King at Crawdad Farms, the Spider Queen at Spider Town, the Manta Ray at Starfish Reef and the Robotic Centipede in the Bugbot factory. All four were destroyed by Sparx and Zoe.
Rhynocs
The Sorceress, and later Grendor’s race of rhino-like warriors.
GRENDOR
A Rhynoc Sorcerer loyal to the Sorceress, whom decides to get revenge on the Dragons for destroying his Mistress. Having gained magic similar to the late Sorceress thanks to instructions of the Dark Master, he revived Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto to serve as his allies.
He would be merged with his fellow villains into the Chimera and later on destroyed by a Rogue Cynder.
RhynOrthos
A two headed Orthos/Rhynoc hybrid created to serve as one of Grendor’s sub-bosses. Since Grendor isn’t two-headed in this universe, that element instead becomes its own boss.
Rhinopede
A Rhynoc/Centipede hybrid created as one of Grendor’s Sub-Bosses. Based on a boss from Attack of the Rhynocs.
Four New Lords of Pest
Like the Sorceress, Grendor created four smaller minions in case Sparx and Zoe went after fairies that were imprisoned in areas only Sparx and Zoe can access. They include the Mad Grasshopper, the Queen Wasp, the Giant Caterpillar and the Robot Beetle. Based on the bosses of Sparx Levels in Season of Ice.
The Four Fearsome Drakes
Similar to the Fireworks Factory Twin Dragons, Grendor created four similar dragons to terrorize the Speedways in Seasons to Remember. They are based on the Dragon Bosses in the Speedways of Season of Ice.
They consist of Sekiryu (Stone Age Speedway), Korinoryu (Ice Age Speedway), Mizuryu (Aqua Age Speedway) and Uchuryu (Space Age Speedway)
RED
Former Dragon Elder, A Magic Crafter Dragon whom was Leader prior to Cosmos, banished for his lust for power and dabbling in Dark Arts. He serves the Dark master and plants Dark Gems across the Three Realms to drain them of power. He would eventually be defeated and destroyed, but not before turning Cynder in the Dark master’s vessel.
Frosttusk
A mammoth whom serves Red and is his Sub-Boss in the Icy Wilderness. Instead of relegated to cutscenes it actually fights the heroes and is defeated by them.
Ineptune
An evil mermaid whom has aligned herself with Red. After the heroes defeated her, she tried to unleash Krakkortle until Gnasty broke its hold over him. Krakkortle then turns in Ineptune and devours her like a sardine.
MALEFOR, THE DARK MASTER
Like Cynder was a Marked Dragon. Unlike Cynder, he had embraced his destiny and brought disaster, darkness and chaos. Defeated long ago and trapped in Convexity, the barriers between worlds start to thin. He has been subtly influencing every event, as Gnasty’s crystallizing spell, Ripto acquiring true magic, the Immortality spell of the Sorceress, Grendor’s revenge and Red’s turn from his fellow Elders all had Malefor put a hand in.
Red eventually made it possible for him to use Cynder as a vessel until she cast him out. He would recreate his body by draining power of the Elders. He gathered a massive army
Ape King Gaul
The Leader of a tribe of Ape warriors loyal to the Dark Master. Aside a powerful warrior he is given great power by the Dark Master. He would end up destroyed by being turned to stone and shattered by Spyro’s Aether powers.
The Assassin
A powerful Ape Warrior whom is Gaul’s strongest minion only second to Gaul. He rides on top of a massive bat called a Dreadwing.
Captain Skabb
The Leader of a bunch of dog-like sky pirates called the Skavengers whom have aligned themselves with Malefor out of greed. Unlike the games, Skurvy is smarter and capable of speech.
The Naga
A monster whom has been the undefeated champion in the Fellmuth Arena, which the Skavengers set up for entertainment. It suffered his first loss in battle and loss of life against the heroes. He hails from the Legend of Spyro Eternal Night GBA game.
The Destroyer
A Mountain-sized Golem whom can bring forth the end of the world. Though the heroes shatter its core, rendering it useless initially, Malefor animates it with his own power to continue. But upon Malefor’s destruction it is rendered inactive and permanently disabled.
The Master’s Lords of Pests
The Master is aware that not only the Dragons but also the fairies and Sparx prove a threat so he recruits his very own Lords of Pests.
Jinx’s sister Fortune, Skabb’s parrot-like minions Scratch and Sniff, the evil Fairy Pandora and a Dark Dragonfly created by Malefor all act as obstacles for them, but all get defeated by Sparx, Zoe, and Jinx.
OTHER VILLAINS
The Thief King
Ila Abab is the King of the Egg Thieves. He always sides with the side that proves the most useful to his goals. Which is obtain more riches. First recruited by Gnasty Gnorc to steal Dragon eggs.
Later he reappears in Avalar, having aligned with Ripto. His gang of Thieves terrorize Shady Oasis and Scorch, but the four Dragons chase him off once again.
He and his thieves reappear to help the Sorceress and Grendor’s alliance. They didn’t join the Dark Master since not only does Malefor frighten him, he has an intense rivalry with Skabb and would not be on a team with him.
The Thief King also takes the place of Bombo the Flagkeeper from Scorch.
Brawlin the Yeti
A big bullying thug of a yeti whom has caused several problems. First he appears in Colossus, Avalar to cause problems for the local monks.
He reappears in the Forgotten Worlds, challenging and losing to Bentley in a boxing match. He later brings his cousins along to challenge Spyro to a race but is defeated by them.
He and his extended family (all bullies like him) overrun Bentley’s vacation home in the Icy Wilderness in A Hero’s Tail. But with the help from Hunter they are driven off.
The Oversteer (Space Cow master)
A large Minotaur-esque bull whom hails from Metropolis, Avalar. He and his army of Space Cows and Sheep Saucers cause havoc. He himself is sent running off by the four dragon heroes.
He reappears a few times to cause trouble, first his Sheep Saucers make the Speedways in the Forgotten Worlds unsafe, then he causes problems at the Farmlands during the events of Seasons to Remember. However, he was dispatched each time.
He is based on the ox mini-boss from Avalar in Spyro 2
Lord Geist
The leader of a series of dark spirits. While his minions resemble grey sphere-like beings with black smoke, he himself is a monstrous beast skull face surrounded by ectoplasmic matter and ghostly fire.
First terrorizes Avalar’s Colossus by possessing statues to use as vessels. However, the vessels were destroyed and he was exorcized by a chant from the monks. He and his spirits are summoned again by the Sorceress to attack Cloud Spires. However, once the locals restore the Big Raincloud, its purifying rain washes the evil spirits away, defeating them once more.
Fortune
Jinx’s evil sister. She appears to cause problems during Sparx and Zoe’s adventures in the ‘Sparx Levels’, mostly because they are aligned with Jinx. She would not be aligned with any of the villains until the Dark master, where she became an actual Lord of Pest.
Fortune like Jinx is capable of breaking the fourth wall and toon physics, but unlike Jinx’s antics which are funny, her are fueled by bloodlust and scary. She is loyal to the Dark master since she revels in the chaos and death spread by his campaign.
During her time as a Lord of Pest, it was her job to feed the ones that failed the Dark Master to the Dark Dragonfly, allowing it to grow strong. Upon her own defeat, she willingly offers herself up to be eaten by the Dark Dragonfly, thinking her own power and madness will make it invincible. It was strong sure, but the Dark Dragonfly was still destroyed by Zoe, Jinx and Sparx, and as a result the remains of this mad bat are put to rest.
