Chapter 1: Prelude

Chapter Text

The roads were starting to flood. The air was muddy. Cars were honking. And the outline of headlights were broken up by the falling drops. In the middle of all of this, Toshinori Yagi, or All-Might, was driving through the streets of Japan. It wasn’t any causal drive. He was frantically looking for one kid.

“Young Midoryia… where are you?” The old hero thought. It has been a two whole weeks since his new student disappeared. He didn’t show up at the entrance exams and his mother hadn’t heard from him. A few eyewitnesses had spotted him but diverted their attention due to how plain they found him to be. Thoughts were running through Yagi’s head as he drove through the street. Where did he go? Did he run away? He knows that he wouldn’t abandon his duty no matter how anxious he appeared to be. Was he kidnapped? Even if he hadn’t gained full control over OFA, he still should be able to defend himself. Unless…

“All for One…” Toshinori thought as he clenched his jaw and tightly gripped his steering wheel. He long thought that this man was dead. That he had died at his hands. But could he be sure? The man had lived for hundreds of years. Surely if anyone could have found a way to survive and conserve his energy, it would be this monster of a man. But that opened up a new world of worries and feelings for the hero. Was it his fault?

Instead of being a random act of cruelty from a superpowered civilian, this could possibly have been a premeditated act to take down the successor and owner of the only Quirk able to put an end to this madman’s rule. And by choosing such a meek and inexperienced young boy… could it have been his fault that Izuku was taken?

And at that moment, the old man slapped himself across his bony cheek. “Enough Yagi! There is no time to think about that! He wanted to be a hero. He put his trust in you and you in him. You need to save him. He needs you. He’s already proven he has the potential to be better than you ever were. Make sure he lives to see that day.”

A newfound feeling of determination filled All-Might’s lungs as his eyes glowed and he stepped on the gas of his car. He would save Izuku. He would bring him back to his mother. He would end her crying. He would find this boy. No matter how long it took. No matter if it took years or even the rest of his life. He. Would. Find-

**BAM!!**

Toshinori snapped out of his thoughts as his car slammed into a familiar green haired lad he stared at his mentor with wide eyes. “ALL MIGHT?!/YOUNG MIDORYIA?!” With that, Yagi drifted to a complete halt and hopped out of his car and peeled Deku off of the windshield, embracing the young boy as if that was the only way to keep him here. “You’re okay… you’re okay… wait… are you okay?! Where have you been are you hurt?! Did someone take you- Young Midoryia?” All Might said as he noticed a panicked look in his student’s eyes.

“No… no no no no no… I’m back… I’m back… how can I be back? Did the bullet send me back? Wait, the castle. Does that mean… oh no…” Midoryia muttered under his breath. “Izuku! Calm down. What bullet? What castle? Who is ‘he’.” All Might asked, wanting answers to help his clearly shaken protégé. All of a sudden… the ground shook. And shook. And shook again. Each time was more violent than the last. The ground started to crack as Deku grabbed hold of Toshinori, activated Full Cowling, and leaped off into the distance before…

**KABOOM!!**

The roads erupted as a gigantic castle appeared from the ground piercing the sky with so much force that it cleared away the clouds and halted the rain. A large burst of rainbow light blinded the whole street as a giant cloud of dust and rubble came along with it as it caught up to the duo and they stumbled on the ground as Yagi covered the man and shut his eyes as the rubble over took them.

The pair coughed as the dust started to clear and the castle remained prominent in the background with an… oddly shaped face on the front of it and a… Star? A glowing star with a pair of eyes on it oddly enough as it spun in the air, levitating from the ground. “The star! All-Might! We need it!” Deku said as he ran towards it with green lightning emanating from his body. All-Might then activated his muscular form and ran alongside the young man.

He seemed terrified of what was to come as sweat poured from his head. “Young Midoryia! What is going on-“ All-Might asked until a yellow claw emerged from the castle. “H-h-he’s here.” Deku said, quivering. The claw pulled up a giant turtle with a green shell and spikes coming from his back. A pair of horns and a red and orange Mohawk coming from its head. And a bloodthirsty scowl across his face as his dagger like teeth clenched.

“DEKU!!!!”

What on Earth happened in that month?

Chapter 2: A New World

Summary:

The Real Start to the story.

Chapter Text

Two Weeks Ago

Izuku Midoryia was having a great day. The sun was shining, he had a good breakfast and he was ready to start his path to become a hero. Thanks to the help of All-Might and Gran Torino’s extensive training, he was able to use about 50% of his power without any pain. There was a hint of trepidation in him as… well… he wasn’t sure if he was deserving of this. He was sure that there were many others out there, quirkless or not, who were more worthy of this power.

Granted, he had been through his share of hardships in the past but… did he really deserve this? The echos of his childhood friend Bakugo calling him a useless Deku rang in his mind as his walking slowed as he passed down an alleyway. He was starting to spiral. His hands were clamming up, his breathing increased, and his forehead drenched with sweat. In the back of his mind he knew that stopping now would make him late for his test but that only furthered his catatonic state as he stated at the floor. At least until…

“AHHHHHHHHHH!!!”

A loud, cracked and high pitched scream rang Deku’s ears. It was coming down from the alley! He ran down there without a second thought. As he reached the end, a large green pipe stuck out from the wall as the remains of the scream dissipated. He stuck his head in the pipe and yelled, “Hello?! Anyone there! Where are you?!” As he screamed, Deku could feel himself being drawn into the pipe. Almost as if it was trying to suck him in. “Did someone get pulled in?!” Deku thought to himself. Before he could give it a second thought, the scream rang out again and without hesitation, he threw himself down the pipe as he ran down the dark corridor.

“Hold on! I’m comin- WOAH WOAH WOAH!” Deku shouted as he started to frantically twist and turn as the pipe pulled him, almost as if the pipe was going in different directions. Deku continued to fly through the pipe swirling in nothing but darkness until one turn led him down a straightaway with a light at the end of the pipe. And with that Deku found himself floating above rainbow colored clouds as a narrow, multicolored tunnel took him through the landscape.

“What is this place?” Deku said, as he floated past a part of the tunnel that diverged into a black cloud with lightning cracking and lava pouring down from the sides. Deku noticed a force drawing him out into the other path and before he could get sucked in, he recognized that the force came from his backpack edging out of the narrow tunnel and took it off immediately. The backpack flew with all of his notebooks scattering to the wind. Before Deku could question any further what was happening and mourn his life’s work, a large flash of light blinded the young man as he was thrown out of the pipe and smashed right into large overgrown mushrooms until landing on the ground.

“Agh…” Deku grumbled, rubbing his head before realizing the reason he was here. “Hello?! Anyone there?! Shout twice if you need any help!” Deku yelled out, zipping across the land looking for anyone who needed help. He pushed some mushrooms aside before getting close to touching a blue one. “DO NOT TOUCH THAT MUSHROOM YOU’LL DIE!” A small man with mushroom head, red dots on his white cap, a walking stick, and a backpack shouted as he startled Deku back to falling on his behind.

“Oh! Heh. I’m sorry! That one is perfectly fine.” The little man said gently patting the blue mushroom. “Oh. Uh. It’s… okay… um-“ Deku started. “Oh! Im sorry! The name is Toad! Pleasure to meet you!” The little man stuck out his hand to shake Deku’s. “Uh. Im Izuku Midoryia.” He replied as the little man ran off deeper into the land which Deku was now able to get a good look at.

There were large mushrooms of multiple colors sprouting from the ground like trees. He looked around and saw the green pipe he came out of sticking from a brick wall and he noticed various creatures of all shapes and sizes roaming around the place. “So… uh… this is… not a dream?” Deku asked only to be properly wacked in the arm by Toad. “OW!” “That hurt right?” “Well… YEAH!” Deku said, a tad annoyed as he rubbed his arm. “Definitely not a dream then.” Toad confirmed as he hopped off.

“So… what is this place?” Deku inquired. “Welcome… to the Mushroom Kingdom!” Toad said proudly. “…yeah sounds about right.” Deku said, not phased at all. He came from a world where people can shoot black holes and have bird heads so he wasn’t too phased. A large creature that seemed to maneuver by swinging its large legs in a circular motion ran over the boy and paused for a second, staring inquisitively at him. “Oh. Uh. Hello!” Deku said, smiling and waving as the creatures eyes perked up and it continued on its way.

“So uh… is… is anyone in danger?” Deku asked. “Hmm…well, not right at this second. Why?” Toad said. “Oh. It’s because I heard a scream coming from the pipe which is why I went here.” Deku said. “YAWWWWWWN!” Toad exclaimed, stretching his arms out and letting loose a familiar cry. “Oh sorry! Didn’t get much sleep last night. Anyways, what were you saying?” Toad asked. Deku let out a little chuckle at the misunderstanding and said, “Never mind. Just wanted to make sure people were safe.”

So with that done and taken care of he just needed to head back home. He really would have liked to see more of this place but he had the entrance exam and- hold on… “Wait… when I asked about the danger, you said ‘not at this second.’ Is there something going on here?” Deku inquired. “Oh. Uh. You haven’t heard? There’s a monster… Bowser.” Toad said, quivering. “Bowser?” Deku asked. “Yes. He’s cruel. He’s heartless. He’s insane. And he’s been trying to come after the Mushroom Kingdom for years. He has been conquering galaxy after galaxy and he has set his sights on us.” Toad explained.

“This guy must be serious.” Deku said as he took a look at how much Toad’s demeanor had changed. He shouldn’t have said what he was going to as he had responsibilities back home but his heart wouldn’t let him say anything else. “Hey.” Deku said, putting his hand on Toad’s shoulder. “If you want, maybe I can help!” “Really?!” Toad asked, stars in his eyes. “Of course! I can see that this man has caused you all a lot of trouble and what kind of a person would I be if I didn’t help?” Deku said, giving him a crooked little smile.

Admittedly, Deku was nervous. He hadn’t fought any villains before let alone one who could conquer galaxies. This was a whole new land with undoubtedly a new set of rules. But he didn’t care. He saw the fear in Toad’s eyes disappear at the offer of help and he was going to turn that newfound hope into a reality. “Well okay then! Come on buddy! I’m taking you to see our princess. She can take you with her on her journey.” Toad said as he climbed a mushroom and Deku simply picked up his walking stick and leaped to land alongside his little pal.

“Wait. Princess?” Deku asked until his eyes widened at the sight in the distance. A large city with a castle at the center with all kinds of pink highlights on the walls and roofs. “Come on Izuku!” Toad said, hopping down mushrooms towards the kingdom. Deku took a deep breath, tapped the tip of his toes on the mushroom and took off, nervous of the threats but more than happy to help.

“Hey! Want a lift?” Deku said, pointing to his back. “Oh yeah!” Toad said, hopping directly on his back and wrapping his arms around his neck. “Hang on buddy!” Deku said as he crouched down and said the magic words. “One For All: 10% Full Cowling!” Toad looked on in amazement as green lighting flashed from his new best friend’s body and held on tight as in a flash the two blasted off of the ground and were soaring through the sky as the mushroom they were on got smaller and the castle got bigger.

“WAH HOO!” Toad screamed as the two flew. A smile brightening up Deku’s face as he saw his little pal’s excitement. The two got closer and closer to the floor and at the right moment… Deku stuck his legs out and landed as terrain was dug up at the reaction of Deku coming to a screeching halt. He would have used his power to launch them directly to the castle but he didn’t want to damage any of the citizen’s property.

“That was amazing! Come on Izuku! Let’s keep going!” Toad shouted as he hopped off of his new best friend’s back and ran more and more into the kingdom. As Deku trailed behind he took more and more notice of the town. Lots of floating blocks around the place and little inclines of hills with mushroom shaped houses on top. And all throughout, little people just like Toad were walking about. Some were older. Some were younger. Some had different colored heads.

“This must be their suburban area.” Deku thought. The pair had to slow down as the population out and about started to get more and more dense. They seemed to be in a more residential area as there were shops, businesses and… banks? Well, they were yellow blocks with a coin label on them that little Toad like people? Was Toad the name of the species? Did they have other names? Anyways. That the people were punching to let out oversized gold coins.

Deku couldn’t help but smile at seeing the bustling little city and the population going about their day. He felt a little bump in the road and looked down to see a coin that seemed to have lost its way from the citizens. He picked it up and looked to his left and saw a green highlighted Toad looking at him in awe. “Oh right. They probably haven’t seen a human before.” Deku thought as he handed the little guy the coin. “Here you go.” Deku said sweetly waving away as he noticed more and more of the population starting to take notice and stare at Deku which started to make him sweat bullets and breathe a little heavily.

“Hey! Hey! Hey! This guy has business with the Princess! Come on! He’s just a normal guy! He’s just like you or me!” Toad shouted at the crowd while trying to make more room for him and Deku to move closer and closer to the castle. “It’s okay Man. They are just a little excited. Things are going to be fine.” He reassured the hero by taking his hand and leading him to a platform. “Thanks Toad.” Deku smiled. “No problem Izuku.” He responded. “Going up!” “Wait up?” Deku questioned before feeling a large shift of gravity as the platform the pair were on started rising.

The two kept running through the kingdom as Toad kept greeting more and more people and Deku kept awkwardly waving to them. “Hi Chantrue!” “Morning!” “Oh, okay so they have different names.” Deku thought. “Hi Toad!” “Oh hi Toad!” “Good Morning Toad!” “Great to see you Toad!” Toad said to more and more citizens. “Wait… so… are they… is Chantrue the exception?” Deku wondered. “Oh hey Phil.” Toad greeted a purple civilian. “My head hurts.” Deku thought as steam came from his ears.

He was so occupied in his thoughts, he barely noticed the floating bricks that he and Toad were walking on, high above the bustling center of the town. “Just gotta jump in these pipes and it’ll take us straight to the Princess!” Toad said arriving at a system of multicolored pipes that had signs designating where to go. “Oh! This must be their main system of transportation!” Deku thought as the neared a see through pipe. “It’s the only way to fly man!” Toad said before leaping into a pipe in which the pull sucked him in and sent him flying through.

Hesitant at first, Deku then got a running start and leapt into the pipe, hoping that would make his travel smoother. It did not. He started bumping up down and around the pipe as he wasn’t quite used to letting his body just freely fly through the system and yet still keep enough control to maneuver. “Agh! Oof! Ow!” Deku groaned as he ended up being spat out of a green pipe. “Aghhhh….” Deku groaned as he landed on the floor, face first. “Here we are! Palace doors! Bing bang boom!” Toad clapped as he leaped into the air running towards the castle.

Said castle had Deku in awe. It was large, had multiple towers coming from the ground, had pink and yellow highlights on the roof tops, and a stained glass window at the center. There was a figure highlighted in the center of the window. She seemed to be the Princess. She had long blonde hair, heart shaped bangs, a pink and poofy dress, blue earrings, and a golden tiara atop her head. However, one thing stuck out to Deku. She looked… human. But how could that be?

“Come on Izuku! Our big adventure begins now!” Toad called out for his buddy. More and more questions rang though his mind as he ran closer and closer to the palace doors. Unsure of what the journey ahead would have in store for him and his companion. But one thing he knew, he would protect everyone and face any obstacle head on. He would turn the hope of peace into a reality and do his best to save the land. However… unbeknownst to him… he would also find a lifelong partner in the said Princess they were looking for.

Feeling Peachy Chapter 2

Deku and Toad were sprinting towards the castle, getting closer and closer to the palace doors until…

“Hold it right there!”

Two halberds came in front of the pair, blocking their way to the entrance. Both were held by a pair blue and yellow dotted Toads respectively. Deku tried to push aside the blades to talk to the two guards. “Uh hi! Yes- um I’m here to see the Princess?” Deku asked politely. The two Toads smirked at each other before coming up with a response.

“What Princess? I’ve never heard of no Princess?” The Yellow Toad said, coyly. “Oh wait, I have! Our Princess though, is in another castle.” The Blue guard said. “Yeah, that’s right? You should go look for her.” Yellow said before he and Blue clanked their halberds together with smug looks on their faces. “What? Wait… there’s another castle? Oh… okay. I see.” Deku thought. “Okay, so they’re messing with you. And… I don’t like it!” Toad growled as he whipped out his frying pan and started screaming as he charged at the guards.

“Toad! Wai-“ Deku stopped until he realized that in the blink of an eye, his little buddy had started a little mini cooking fire, got out a grill, and put veggies in the frying pan. “So uh, what do you guys want to eat? Anything your hearts desire.” Toad said, cooking up a storm as the guards got in close, entranced by the promise of food. “Go.” He whispered to Deku as the guards were distracted. Deku nodded in understanding and activated 5% Full Cowling as he zoomed in through the doors and leaped to the chandeliers to avoid the other guards.

“Okay, so the princess should be where the most guards are.” Deku thought as he leaped from chandelier to chandelier.

Meanwhile

A gathering of Toads were standing around in a throne room. Quite a bit of them were standing next to a table that formed a comprehensive map of the land the citizens inhabited. A more decrepit land with lava and skeletons, a desert area, a jungle centric land, an ice kingdom, and at the center of it all: The Mushroom Kingdom. An ominous floating piece of land with the carving of their foe’s face floating above with lava pouring form vents was inching closer and closer to the kingdom.

A more elderly Toad named Toadsworth looked on grimly at the sight as a bright yellow star sat in the center of the floating land. “Bowser has laid waste to the Penguin kingdom and has finally acquired the Power Star.” This elicited gasps from the rest of the room. “He will arrive at our doorsteps in one week’s time and when he does, the Mushroom Kingdom will fall.” Toadsworth estimated. “Princess. What will we do?”

At that moment, a tall woman with long blond hair, heart shaped bangs, soft blue eyes, a pink and poofy dress with white gloves, and a golden tiara atop her head stood up from her throne and said, “Bowser is strong. But we will put a stop to his rule.” “How?! Look at us! We’re adorable!” A small and yellow Toad said, not too confident in their fighting capabilities. “Don’t worry my Toads. I will ask the Kongs for their assistance in fighting the tyrant.” Peach reassured them. “The mad king will never agree to assist us. Princess Peach, I don’t know how this can work.” Toadsworth pointed out.

“I will make him listen to reason. We will return with his help and finally put an end to this monster’s rule.” Peach said reassuringly. “I will leave for the Kong Kingdom first thing in the morning.” “Your highness. We are all counting on you.” Toadsworth said as she exited the throne room and started to make her way to her quarters. Once she was out of sight, she took a deep breath to steady herself. Everyone was counting on her. She needs to steady herself and not let her Toads see her worry. She just needed-

BANG!

Peach suddenly found herself flat on her behind as she rubbed her shoulder where she was bumped into. “Oh my gosh! I’m so so sorry Princess! I was just looking for you and I didn’t want to cause any more trouble and-“ Deku said, dusting her off and cut off by her standing up with a stunned look on her face. “Uh- Princess?” Deku asked, a little concerned if he bumped into her too hard.

“Are you… *gasp* you’re a human!” Peach said, giddily jumping up and down. “I mean… you are a human right? I just… I don’t remember any having green hair… wait, let me start again. Where are you from?” This was all occurring as she was poking as his nose, playing with his hair and his little hoodie. Deku was trying his best to make sure he didn’t completely melt. No one else had gotten this close to him before let alone someone as beautiful as her and she was so close!

“Okay. I’m- uh, I’m Izuku Midoryia. And ah-” Deku said, starting to breathe a little fast. It was then that Peach started to realize what was happening. “Oh I’m so so sorry! It’s just I-” Peach apologized. “No it’s okay! I understand, there aren’t that many humans here I’m assuming.” Deku reassured her once his breathing calmed. Peach chuckled, “No, just me and my Toads. I’m so sorry for overwhelming you. Let’s start over.” She said, holding her hand out.

“Hi. I’m Princess Peach but you can just call me Peach.” Peach said. “I’m Izuku Midoriya. It’s a pleasure to meet you Prin- Peach.” Deku said. “I’m from… a… well I guess it’s obvious that I’m from another world but well it’s called Japan. I found this green pipe and when I heard a cry for help I jumped in and here I am! I heard that you were dealing with this… Bowser guy? And I wanted to help!”

“That’s really nice and all, but this guy is really dangerous. I can’t bring you with me.” Peach said. “But I can help!” Deku insisted. “This guy’s a lunatic. A psycho. He will eat you for breakfast. He won’t even notice it probably because you’re very, very… okay I’m blanking on a word but still. It’s too dangerous.” Peach said.

“Listen. Princess Peach, I understand your concern but I’m a hero. I can’t let this villain run rampant and hurt innocent people. I insist that you take me. I won’t slow you down. I can help.” Deku insisted once more. The matriarch looked at the boy in front of her and couldn’t help but admire his determination. But she didn’t want to risk putting his life in danger. Unless… well… she was going to wait a day before leaving anyway so…

“Well okay. Let’s see what you’re made of.” She said smiling as she started walking to a large opening in the castle. “So… was that a yes?” Deku asked as he caught up to her. “No. That’s a, ‘Let’s see what you’re made of.’” Peach clarified. “Oh… well thank you so much for this opportunity.” Deku said politely. “Oh! Of course. Honestly, no need to thank me! I just… well I want to make sure that you won’t get hurt.” Peach said. “I understand. And hey, trust me. I’ve been through a lot. I’ve got a high tolerance for pain.” Deku said. “Well.. okay I’m going to trust you.” Peach said as the pair stopped on a platform that slowly started to seperate from the rest of the castle. “Whoa!” Deku said as he stumbled from the sudden movement.

Peach caught him by the arm and pulled him back. “Oh sorry! I keep forgetting others may not be used to this.” She apologized. “Oh it’s fine! I’ve been through worse.” He said, flashbacking to when he was holding on to All-Might’s pants flying through the air. As the platform stopped, a large yellow block with a question mark rose from a large lake next to the castle. Deku looked on in awe as the water dripped from the block and Peach smiled at his amazement, knowing it was only going to increase.

The block then started to separate into several smaller blocks that formed small platforms that consisted of spikes, circular logs that were placed very next to each other, red metalic plants that had sharp teeth, and even black tubes that seemed to hold bullets. “This is amazing!” Deku said as a large flag pole with a pink flag and white flower rose out of the ground between him and Peach. “The engineering that must have gone into this it must have taken so long to make this not to mention the fact that no rust seems to have formed despite being underwater-“ A small pause formed in the air as Deku’s face turned red and steam came from his ears.

“I was muttering again wasn’t I?” He asked. “Yeah… but it’s okay! It was cute.” Peach smiled, only making Deku blush even harder at the compliment. “So… if you can finish this obstacle course, you’re coming with me. Watch and learn.” Before Deku could even comprehend what was happening, Peach had taken off and leaped off a block that had formed on the side.

She ran across platforms and leaped left and right, rising up on blocks perfectly placed to allow her to rise to higher ground. She approached some green pipes where the metalic plants sprouted out on and either jumped on them or dodged the bites with a large smile on her face. After these she ran and slid under spinning blocks resembling fire. She landed on a spring that sent her flying over a wall of spikes where she landed on a long, inclining platform.

She held the front of her dress as she ran up the platform, took a large leap and then aimed a flying kick at a cardboard painting of a large turtle with a spiked shell that Deku assumed was Bowser. “Hiyah!” Peach shouted before the painting shattered into multiple wooden shards. She landed on multiple yellow platforms that started to turn red and fall as she slid and ran across them. The cannons then turned and faced towards Peach and fired large black bullets with crazed grins painted on their fronts.

Peach looked on with a determined smile and leaped towards one of them, leaped off another and then launched into a front flip where she grabbed onto the flagpole, spun around and let go, gently floating to the ground as her dress slowed her descent. She landed on the ground with a heavy breath and a wide smile. Deku’s eyes became so wide they may as well have been saucers.

“That was amazing…” Deku breathed. “You were amazing! Your agility, your speed, your balance, how did you do all of this? Did you have any former training? Just… you were amazing!” Now it was Peach’s turn to blush a bit as she twirled her hair and turned away a bit. “Oh… it was nothing…” Peach said, trying to hide her face in her shoulders. “So I have to do this?” Deku said, looking on excitedly towards the course. “Yup! And, for a little boost, you can use the power ups!” Peach said.

“Power ups?” Deku asked. “Yup! They give us special abilities!” Peach said, punching the underside of a small question mark box as a small red mushroom with little eye marks landed in Deku’s hands. “So I just eat this?” “Yup! Down the hatch.” With a small breath, Deku ate the mushroom and swallowed. “Not bad! Tastes kinda steamed!” Deku commented as a purple, pink, and blue aura surrounded the young man. And in the blink of eye, Deku had shot up a foot and felt a surge of power course through his veins. “I’m taller!” Deku said, amazed at how the power felt. “And stronger!” Peach said.

Without another word, Deku took off with 10% powering him up and leapt over the blocks Peach had bounced off of and took off, denting the plants with the bouncing of his feet. However, he still wasn’t used to using Full Cowling just yet so instead of landing gracefully, he crashed through the bricks that let up to the fire bars and landed on another platform underneath. Deku noted a decrease in power and size and figured that he lost the power due to damage taken. Undeterred, he shoulder charged through a brick wall and punched through another before landing on the same incline Peach found herself on.

He leaped up and sucker punched the cutout of Bowser and stumbled onto the falling platforms before regaining his footing and started to run towards the incoming bullets. With lightning flowing from his extremities, Deku leaped from bullet to bullet until he launched towards the flagpole and spun around maybe a little too much and landed on the edge of the platform as he let go. Waving his arms and losing his balance, Deku was pulled back by Peach as he started to catch his breath. “You did it! You were amazing! You were the first one to do the course the first time!” Peach said.

“Oh… it was nothing…” Deku said, blushing and hiding his face in his arms. “Are you kidding me?! You are a natural! Sure you slipped a couple of times but you still did what no other was able to do! You are amazing Izuku Midoryia!” Peach said, excitingly jumping up and down and shaking the poor boy by the shoulders. “Really? How- Many- Tries- Did- It- Take- You?” Deku said as he was shaken. “Oh… so many! I was not good at it at all! I fell into the lake so much the Toads confused me for a Cheep Cheep.” Peach said, awkwardly smiling at the boy.

“You got it right away didn’t you?” Deku asked as he saw through Peach’s humility. “I got it right away but I grew up here!” Peach said, trying to salvage her attempt to help pick Deku up. “Okay. Now you’re just trying to make me feel better.” Deku said, chuckling. “No! Nooo….” Peach said, awkwardly. “Is it working?” “Actually… yeah. Thank you.” Deku smiled at her. The two shared a little look at each other until both launched into a fit of chuckles.

“Alright Izu. You’ve completed the obstacle course. So now, you get to come with me.” Peach said. “I-I-I-Izu?” Deku asked blushing. “Oh! I’m sorry! Is that okay?” Peach asked, worried she may have crossed a boundary. “Y-y-y-y-yeah. Sorry I just… I’m not used to… nice… uh… nevermind.” Deku said, slapping his face to lessen his blushing. Peach wondered what exactly he meant. It was obvious from his meek demeanor and his reactions to compliments that maybe he didn’t have it too easy where he came from. It was probably best to wait till later to ask him about it since they just met only 10 minutes ago.

“Well… we leave in the morning so if you want to rest…” Peach started until she saw Deku looking on excitedly at the obstacle course. “Wanna go again?” She asked. Deku, too giddy to answer, nodded up and down while bouncing with electricity pouring out. “Heh… then lets see if you can beat my time.” Peach said as the blocks rearranged into a new course but more or less for both of the pair to engage in a race.

“I’m ready whenever you are.” Deku said, smiling. “Here… we… go!” Peach said as both took off into the course. Having fun and running till the night fell and until the sun rose. Ready for whatever would come their way.

Notes:

So I’m actually almost done with the chapters! I’m thinking maybe it’ll each 13 or maybe 14 chapters. I want to start working on another story but the thing about the Mario movie is that it’s so to the point that a fanfic about it would naturally be very brisk. However, the fanfics I want to work on are very out there and will need a lot of set up. So unfortunately, when this fanfic ends y’all may not hear from me for a while. I’d love to keep working but with school and other life stuff I know that eventually, I’ll need to go on a hiatus and I feel like maybe it’s be better for everyone when it’s in between stories and not chapters. But in the mean time! I got a lot of ideas. Some standard like Deku x Mina, Deku x Kinoko, Deku x Hagakure, Deku x Camie, Deku x Yui, etc. Some are more out there like AU Deku x Teen La Brava where they met at Aldera and helped each other, AU Deku x Teen Fuyumi, AU Deku x Teen Lady Nagant where he saves her before she goes off the deep end, and even Deku x Ippan. But y’all don’t even know the other out of the box stuff in my mind. AU Future Deku x Ramona Flowers, Deku x Emira, Deku x Blaze, Deku x Rivet, Deku x Neopolitan, and my next idea for my story that I won’t disclose. Don’t worry. All relationships will not be underage or have too crazy of age gaps. None of that weirdness here. Things will be adjusted. Thank you all for the support and God Bless You All🙏🏽

Chapter Text

A long way from the Mushroom Kingdom

The floating fortress was making its way slowly to the Mushroom Kingdom. Lava pouring from its vents. An ominous orange glow coming from the lines in construction of the castle. And inside… hard rock music was playing and the various minions of Bowser were partying with the ruler looking on happy at the site from his throne. After the song had come to its conclusion, the mad tyrant rose from his throne and shook the fortress with every step he took closer and closer to the steps of his throne.

“MY ARMY! KOOPAS! GOOMBAS! …WHATEVER THOSE THINGS ARE!” Bowser roared, as small quadriplegic turtles with spiky helmets sighed in disappointment. “AFTER ALL THESE YEARS WE HAVE FINALLY FOUND THE POWER STAR AND I AM NOW THE MOST POWERFUL! TURTLE! IN THE WORLD!” Bowser said, eliciting cheers and roars from his minions.

“AND NOW I WILL FINALLY MAKE MY WAY TO THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM!” “YES!!!” “WHERE I WILL MEET OUR ENEMY PRINCESS PEACH! “YEAH!!!!” “AND I WILL FINALLY ASK HER TO MARRY ME IN A FAIRY TALE WEDDING!!!” “YEA-uh…” A loud air of confusion weighed over the crowd as they all looked at their leader with confused looks on their faces.

“Doesn’t she hate you?” A minion shouted out from the distance. “Well of course she hates me!” Bowser said, resigning himself and leaning over in defeat. “But that just makes me love her even more! Her heart shaped bangs, her immovable tiara, the way she floats in the breeze… and when she sees this star… oh ho ho, Wedding bells!” The crowd looked on as their leader let his smitten attitude take over his mannerisms. “But what if she says no?” A random Koopa Troopa asked innocently.

In an instant, the Koopa found himself engulfed in the fire from the fumed feudal king and ended with nothing more than a skeleton. “THEN I WILL POWER UP WITH THIS STAR AND DESTROY THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM!” Bowser roared. “PREPARE FOR THE GREATEST WEDDING EVER! ITS GONNA ROCK!!” The crowd went wild again as the music raged on in celebration of their leader’s resolution.

However, in a separate room, an elderly Koopa named Kamek was looking into his staff, trying to keep an eye on his leader’s future fiancé. As the purple orb at the top of his staff cleared he saw an image that made his stomach fall. The princess was having fun training… with another human! He had green hair, a green jumpsuit with some sort of hoodie.

The worst part was… she seemed to be growing fond of the human. The way she was looking at him and smiling and having fun! His ruler was not going to like this…

Some time later

The King of the Koopas was sitting in an isolated room. Atop a floating staircase and above lava. He sat… took a deep breath… and started playing a song on his piano. His long claws somehow not damaging the keys.

“🎶Peach… you’re so cool! And with my star we’re gonna rule. Peach… understand, I’m gonna love ya till the very end!🎶” Bowser sang as he imagined Peach watching on in awe. “🎶Peaches Peaches Peaches Peaches Peaches! Peaches Peaches Peaches Peaches Peaches! I! LOVE YOU! OHHHH!🎶”

The king was getting more and more manic as the song picked up in tempo. “🎶PEACHESSS! PEACHESSSS! PEA-🎶“ “Sire!” Kamek interrupted as Bowser was knocked out of his trance. “What?” Bowser asked, eyebrows narrowed and blood rising. “A green haired human has arrived in the Mushroom Kingdom. The princess is training him!” Kamek explained as the large turtle let out a growl and his nostrils flared.

“Sire?” Kamek asked nervously. After a long pause the Koopa patted his seat and motioned for his minion to join him. “Sit. Jam with me.” Bowser said. The two then played a familiar tune to help unwind their nerves. “So this human… where did he come from?” Bowser asked. “We’re not sure. We found this pile of notebooks that fell into the Darklands.” Kamek explained. “Let’s see it.”

And with that, Kamek took his hands off the keyboard, raised his staff and summoned a load of crude and burnt notebooks. Bowser pulled out his reading glasses and was able to see all of Deku’s life. Including his challenges. His bullies. His woes. His loneliness… for a second… Bowser felt a kinship with the boy. Until he read the young lad’s desire to be a hero. He saw his childlike wonder and his desire for a companion and started to wonder if he came to this world specifically to take the princess away from him.

“So… this worthless… weak little Deku thinks he can be a hero?” Bowser asked. “Kamek! Take my son and Blue out to where they are and intercept them. Don’t harm Peaches but do whatever you want with the other human.” Bowser commanded. “Will do sire!” The magician responded before teleporting off to find the general of the Koopa army and the young tike. Meanwhile, Bowser sat there… deep in thought. Would the princess really like this young hero? Would Bowser have to spend the rest of his life alone? No he’d have his children. But… he owed it to them to find a loving mother. Whatever kinship or empathy he felt to the boy he quickly squashed as he knew that no matter what… the Princess would be his.

You will never be a hero Deku. Want my advice? Jump off a roof and wish for a quirk in the next life.” “Sorry kid it’s not gonna happen.” “I’m so sorry Izuku…” “I’m sorry kid… but, I don’t think anyone can become a hero without a quirk. Want my advice? Become a cop or a firefighter. You’ll save plenty of people that way. Izuku. Izuku. Izuku! Izuku?”

At that moment, Deku was snapped out of his trance as he looked up at a concerned Princess Peach looking at him. “Oh! I’m sorry! I was… I was just thinking about… um… the training course. I think I still need to work on my landings.” Deku shrugged off. Peach wasn’t convinced. However… she still shouldn’t interfere right? Barley a day had passed. But… “Hey. If you need to talk, I’m here. Okay?” Peach said, sweetly with her hand on his shoulder.

Surprisingly, no blushing was had between them. Deku just took a deep breath and tried to center herself. “I… I appreciate it. Not right now though. Maybe… maybe later okay?” Deku said. “Okay.” Peach said. The two approached the doors of the palace as they heard trumpets announce their arrival. Peach placed a hand on her chest, taking a deep breath. Deku was familiar with this. She must have been dealing with nerves of her own.

In a moment of pure bravery, Deku took her hand in his. He could feel the sweat permeate her hand through her gloves. She looked on shocked until Deku said, “It’ll be okay. I’m here too. You won’t do this alone.” Deku said. Right before the palace doors opened and the two separated, Peach gave his hands a little squeeze and shot one of the sweetest smilies he’d ever seen. The blinding light overtook them and when it lessened, a while gaggle of Toads stood cheering.

The two took a deep breath and started to walk towards the pipe in the middle of the yard. “My toads! I shall return soon! With the Kong army in tow, we WILL DEFEAT BOW-“ “Who’s he?” A toad asked, pointing at Deku who just waved awkwardly. “…He’s… NOT IMPORTANT!” Peach answered as the two then jumped into the pipe and headed off to the Kong Kingdom with the Toads cheering.

.
.
.

“Hey… you know I didn’t mean anything by that back there right?” Peach said as the pair were walking through a field of tree sized mushrooms. “Oh! Oh yeah! Honestly it’s okay.” Deku said. To be honest, such a comment didn’t even register to him anymore. He’s heard worse. “We couldn’t waste anymore time there.” “Hey… Izu-“

“🎶We’re going on an adventure!🎶” Toad jumped up between the pair, singing excitedly. “Come on guys! 🎶Di dat di di di dat dat!🎶” The pair looked at the singling little guy and smiled at his antics. “Hey Izuku!” Toad said. “You know this guy?” Peach asked. “Yup! We’re best friends!” Toad proclaimed. “R-r-really?” Deku said, getting a bit teary eyed. Toad immediately rushed to his side and leaped into his arms, giving him a big hug. “Of course man!” Before Deku could even comprehend what was going on, Toad then hopped off and then made his way to Peach.

“Don’t worry, I will protect you.” Toad said. “A Toad brave enough to join me?” Peach said, smiling at the little mushroom man. “I fear nothing.” Toad growled, puffing his chest out. “Well that settles it! You’re coming with us!” Peach decreed. She and Deku continued to walk off while Toad danced in excitement and continued to sing. “So… is Toad the name of the species or… is it a name?” Deku asked Peach. “Both actually! Don’t worry it took me a while to get used to it.” She reassured him. “Wait… so would that be an equivalent to me having the name, ‘Human?’” He asked.

Deku could see the gears turning in Peach’s head as she tried to figure out an answer. “I… I don’t know…” Peach said. “Hmm. I suppose the equivalent would be people who’s names are Guy.” Deku thought up. “Wait, that’s a thing back in your world?” Peach asked. “Well… yeah! To be fair… it’s also a world where people can summon black holes with their fingers so… stranger things have happened.” He explained. “Wow… hey can you tell me more about your world?” “Oh sure! I suppose I should start at the beginning.”

4 Hours Later

The group found themselves in a large field, platforms, lush green hills, and all around them with even cannons in the background, large enough to fit a person. “Wait… so you can’t use your quirk to defend yourself in dangerous situations?” Peach asked. “Nope! If you don’t have a license then you are reprimanded by the authorities.” Deku explained. “Man. No wonder vigilantes are a thing.” Toad lamented. “So even though you didn’t even have a quirk at the time, they still scolded you even though you helped that kid?” Peach asked, dumbfounded.

“Yeah… said I’d caused more trouble than if I had just stayed out of it.” Deku said, reminiscing. “Hypocrites.” Toad spat as he remembered how they didn’t even try going to save Deku’s old friend. “Hmm… so you haven’t had much experience just… well… experiencing your new power?” Peach said, unable to see the logic of expecting children to get a handle on their talents with all these restrictions. “Yeah. I mean I have been able to train but… I guess not much else.” “Well… I mean… there’s no such restrictions here.” Peach said, slyly.

“Wait…” Deku said, not sure if he understood what Peach was offering. “Come on buddy! Let loose! Have some fun!” Toad encouraged. Deku looked at the large field ahead of him and wondered if it was okay. Peach placed a gentle hand on his shoulder and gave him an encouraging smile. “Go on.” Peach said. “Hero.” She chuckled as she playfully ruffled his hair. Deku chuckled and couldn’t help but feel his heart soar from the encouragement. These two despite not knowing him that well were encouraging him to do something he’d wanted to do for a while and something they knew would make him happy.

With a deep breath, Deku started stretching, hopped in place, got into an Olympic running stance, and as lighting coursed out of him said, “Full Cowling… 20%.” And with that, a large dust cloud was left where Deku was standing and a faint, “Sorry!” Was heard in the distance as a green streak could be seen running all across the field before coming back and dusting off Peach and Toad before leaping off again.

Deku could hardly fathom the rush he was feeling. The wind flowing on his face, the feeling of the ground on his feet. In this moment, nothing else was on his mind. It was as if all the anxieties and worries he had had disappeared even if just for a limited time. Deku couldn’t just jump he started skipping and leaping until he ran up the platform walls, ducked in and out of the trees, and even launching himself into the air off a hill. “WAH HOO!” Deku roared.

He was smiling ear to ear as he let all his inhibitions go and kept on exploring and feeling out his powers. Peach looked on in awe and glee seeing the boy finally cut loose and enjoy himself. It almost brought a tear to her eye seeing the meek and small boy finally let what little confidence he had bloom. Toad noticed the look in her eyes and smiled, unsurprised that the Princess fell for his best friend. And while he didn’t want to interfere, he figured he could at least help them be a little closer.

“You know Princess… I found this out in the fields and…” Toad said as he held a small pepper out for Peach to take. She looked at the pepper and had a big smile plastered on her face as she took the pepper and motioned to her back. “Hop on Toad! Don’t think you’re going to miss out on the fun.” Peach said. “Oh…let’s go!” Toad said as he hopped on her back and she ate the mushroom. Her hair stared to steam, her dress turned red with yellow highlights, and even her gloves turned orange.

“Woo! Let’s go!” Peach said as she took off, a fire trail being left behind. She did cartwheels and then launched herself into the air right next to where Deku was. “Hey Green!” Peach said. “Hey Peach!” “Wanna race? This Power Up only lasts for a few minutes!” “Heh heh! You’re on! Let’s go!” Deku said as the two landed on the ground and took off with Toad hanging on for dear life. The two colored teens looked at each other and smirked as they shifted into high gear and took off into the distance, starting to become slightly more aware of the fondness growing between them.

Deku looked at the Princess’s hair flowing in the wind, her smile, her dress but what stuck the most in her mind… was her kind heart. She didn’t do anything but support and show Deku care that he had seldom seen from anyone. He looked at Peach and could almost say that the sun was helping her look brighter than she normally did. However, he soon realized the sun wasn’t even aligned right to allow for this illusion. It was simply his perspective of her. Wait… it was simply his perspective. Deku’s heart pounded and his brow became sweaty as it all finally clicked.

Notes:

Found Rivet is for the ladies. So I make throat fanfic I’ll make Deku into Izumi Midoryia. That’s all. Byeee!

Hey y’all! Thank you for your support! On vacation right now so wanted to post this real quick!

Chapter Text

With the sun shining and the light breeze in the wind, Deku and Peach were walking alongside each other. Toad could sense the tension between them, gave Deku a sly wink and went off to ride a creature called “Cattaquack.” Deku found himself looking up and sneaking a peak at the Princess until she smiled at him, causing him to fall back onto the ground.

It had been a day since Deku realized his feelings for Peach. And he had no idea what to do. How could he? Throughout his entire life, being a hero had been his priority along with avoiding the bullies in his school. Even if he did have time to develop crushes, he’d always been seen as lesser than everyone else. If his crushes didn’t look on laughing at him, he would most definitely be met with harsh rejections. So… what could he do?

“Hey Green. You okay?” Peach asked, picking him up by the shoulders and placing him gently on his feet, causing Deku’s face to go nuclear. “Y-y-y-yeah. Just…lost in thought.” He explained. “I know I’m charming, but you don’t have to…fall for me.” She said slyly. “W-w-w-w-w-what?! Pff! That’s- ha- just… *clears throat.*” Deku stammered.

Peach just looked on and smiled at his antics, and she couldn’t help but just… feel right watching him. “It’s okay! I’m just kidding. You don’t have much experience with this do you?” She asked. “W-w-w-well… no. The only person I’ve interacted with other than my parents were my teachers and they didn’t find themselves in joking moods very often.” Deku explained. “So you’ve never had a partner before?” She asked.

“Nope! Heh. I don’t think anyone even looked at me that way.” He said, surprisingly calmed by her presence and not freaking out at the intimate and personal topic of conversation. “Huh. Yeah. I understand. Such a shame though. Anyone would be lucky to have a partner like you.” She confessed. “Thanks.” Deku said, both continuing their stroll- wait… “WHAT?!” “Oh? Did I say something?” Peach asked, coyly. “I-I-uh-I mean… I uh… c-c-can you r-r-r-run that by me again?” He asked.

“Well Izuku. I’ve only known you for about 2 days or so but honestly… I’ve never met anyone like you. You jumped into an unknown world to save someone you never even met, you leaped into fire to save your bully, and despite all the pushback in the world, you never gave up and kept going.” Peach explained. “Huh… Well…never thought of that of a good thing.” He admitted.

“It’s a great thing! You are a true example of heroism! Anyone would be lucky to know you let alone be your partner. And honestly… I’d be honored to fill that position.” Peach confessed. “W-w-w-w-Wow. I… I honestly don’t know what to say.” Deku admitted. “I understand. Just, hey take all the time you need to answer okay?” Peach reassured. “I mean… I may have one already…” He admitted.

“Really?” Peach said, her heart soaring. “I just… I mean… I can’t deny how… well…” Deku said, taking a bit to breathe and gather his thoughts. “You… you truly are an amazing person. Your determination to protect your people, your unwavering strength, your care, your thoughtfulness, I mean just… I’ve never really had anyone care for me the way you do.” Peach looked on a bit down at this news even though the praise made her heart soar.

“You… your care for whenever I… well… explain what happened to me. You listen. You… helped me understand just how unfair what I went though was. You gave me an opportunity to let loose and be me.” Deku said, his smile becoming less crooked and small and more…shy yet… more natural. A light blush fell over Peach’s face seeing him naturally smile and be more forward in how he was feeling.

The two shared a caring gaze and smiled at each other as their feelings were now out in the open. Peach took his hand, making Deku blush and look on in awe. No words were needed in that moment. The two knew exactly what the others were feeling. “WAH HOO! FINALLY!” Toad shouted as he leaped on Deku’s back, gently punching him in the shoulder. “WAIT YOU KNEW?!” Deku realized. “Well. To be fair… we weren’t exactly subtle about it.” Peach said, to which Deku had no response.

“So… you two together?” Toad said gently tussling Deku’s hair. All Peach had to do was smile and let Deku answer. “Y-y-y-yeah. I-I-I think we are.” He stammered. “Woo!” Toad cheered. “Well, I am glad we talked about this but we still need to make our way to the Kong Kingdom.” Peach said. “Yeah. Let’s get going.” He said gently taking Peach’s hand while Toad looked on happy at his friend’s happiness.

One Day Later at the Sand Kingdom

“So, you’re saying that money works differently in the real world?” Peach asked. “Yup! You need to use the money to buy food, water, medicine, and so much more.” He explained. “But don’t you need that to live?” She asked. “Yeah.” “Isn’t that counter productive? We just use the coins here to buy something to splurge on.” Peach explained. “…huh.” Deku was dumbfounded at how things were working in this world. “What’s next? You need to pay to live in a house?” Peach asked. “Funny that you mention that-“

As the pair were sharing a conversation, unbeknownst to them, a trio of villians were watching over the Princess and her traveling companions. “We have spotted them sire.” Kamek said. “Fantastic!” Bowser said, his voice being projected from a screen on the clown car his son was driving. “We have no idea what this kid is capable of… should we approach things slowly?” Blue Shell asked. “No way! Come on! Let’s blow him up!” Bowser Jr said, hoping up and down in his car.

“Calm down Jr. I agree that he should be taken down right away. But I don’t want you hurt.” Bowser said from the screen. “Hmm. I feel that we’d have the best chance if we seperate him from the Princess and the Toad.” Blue suggested. “Let me at him! I’ll take care of him! I want my mama back!” Jr said, throwing a tantrum at the thought of this stranger taking away his mom.

“No Jr. It’s too dangerous. We don’t know what he can do yet.” Bowser said. “Why doesn’t Blue take him on? He’s the fastest and can fly him into the upside down pyramid. Me and Jr can hide in there and take on the boy when Blue captures him.” Kamek said. “Good work Kamek.” Bowser said. “We got him now. Just be careful Jr. Okay?” “Don’t worry papa. I’ll be okay. Thank you.” Jr said. Meanwhile, Blue started flapping his wings and a psychotic smile came on his face as he laid eyes on Deku.

“How do you get your hair to be in the shape of a heart?” Deku asked. “Takes a lot of time in the morning! My Toads always want to help but it just isn’t the same. I’ve just become an expert in using the mushrooms as a gel to help my hair remain this way.” Peach explained. “It’s even how I get my tiara to never fall off my head.” She whispered in his ear. “Oh really?! That’s so cool!” Deku said.

“You think that’s cool? You should see how I take care of my hair.” Toad responds. “Toad, you make it look so easy.” Deku joked. “I know but hey, it takes a lot of work to look this good.” He said posing. “It’s nice to be appreciated though.” “Hey Izuku, how do you get your hair to be like that?” Peach asked. “Like what?” Deku said, wondering what she meant as he mainly just let his hair stand like this from the moment he woke up. “Well…I mean…it’s green right?” Peach asked, wondering if that’s just how hair worked back in his world. “Actually-OOF!”

In a flash, Deku found himself scooped up by a blue streak, being held in a chokehold. “IZUKU!” Peach shouted in the distance as the she and Toad got smaller and smaller with every second passing as the blue streak carried him towards what seemed like an upside down pyramid. Deku looked behind him and saw a yellow turtle with a blue shell, blue helmet, and white wings coming from his shell.

Deku then activated Full Cowling at 20% and whipped his head back to headbutt Blue. This caused his grip to slip for a second and in that moment, Deku was flipped to face his assailant. The two were flying through the air as Deku continuously punched the Koopa in the face before Blue kneed him in the stomach. The crazed turtle throttled the boy before he received yet another head butt.

The two were so caught up in their scuffle that they didn’t notice the approaching roof of the pyramid until they slammed right through the roof, multiple layers of bricks, until finally landing on a platform in the middle of a coliseum like arena where other than the large circular platform in the middle seemed to be chasm that went on for an eternity as the room continued to let out a blue glow.

Deku then took the opportunity while the Blue Koopa was down to charge and try to restrain him. However, before he could bridge the gap and land a hit, he was caught mid-punch by a purple ish and blue aura. Before he could even have a moment to think however, his arms were painfully forced to their sides as he was suddenly jolted back into the center of the platform where he saw the culprit. Another turtle on the elderly side who had a blue cloak and hat with a glowing staff. He got a closer look at the Blue turtle that ambushed him as well as a young turtle with a toothy bandana around his neck located in a floating vehicle with a clown painted on the front.

“Haha! Knew he wasn’t so tough! Where’s your power now?!” The little tyke gleefully sneered. “Ngh. Who. Are you guys?” Deku asked, every movement he made while captured taking energy from him. “Why don’t we introduce someone else first?” The Blue turtle said, as he rubbed his jaw from the multiple spots Deku hit him. “Behold! The King, of the Koopas!” The elderly turtle said as a screen came from the mouth of the clown car, glowing as a large, sinister and grinning turtle looked at the boy straight in the eyes. “Hello Deku.”

“This is bad! They are in the pyramid! It’s been abandoned for years! If they don’t kill him the collapsing structure will!” Peach said. “We gotta get in there! Look power boxes!” Toad pointed out as in the distance lied two potential power ups. The two ran over to the boxes and punched them, allowing the power ups to dispense. “Hang on Izuku. We’re coming.” Peach thought.

“How…how do know that name?” Deku said until a hammer hit him in the stomach, knocking the air out of him. “Quiet kid! Let my papa speak!” The small turtle said. “Thank you Junior. So… you probably don’t know who I am Deku… but I’m about to get married and rule the world.” Bowser said. “Oh… good for you sir.” Deku said. “But there’s one small problem… a certain someone is traveling with my fiancé. A certain irritating green haired little worm.” Bowser said. “Wait… fiance?” Deku asked. “Doesn’t she hate you?”

“OF COURSE SHE HATES ME!” Bowser roared through the screen. “But it’s like I said… it just makes me love her all the more.” “I hate everything about what you are saying right now.” Deku said before crying out in pain as Kamek tightened the shield around the boy. “Hold your tongue when talking to the Koopa King boy before I remove it for you!” Kamek said. “Ah… The wannabe Hero has a bit of a mouth on him ey?” Bowser chuckled.

“How- Ngh! Do you know this?” Deku said, stomaching the pain. “Ah. Well in the darklands, one of my Shy Guys happened to come across a bag containing some very revealing notebooks.” Bowser said as the color disappeared from the young boy’s face. “Yes…such a hard life you led huh? Don’t worry…I’ll be sure to pay your world a visit and give your bullies a good talking to. And well…that’ll be one less city then heroes will have to worry about protecting.”

“GRRR DON’T YOU LAY A HAND ON THEM!” Deku roared as Kamek struggled to keep him under his spell’s influence. “Wow…after all they did to you you still want to protect them? You’re a funny kid Deku. Now I’d love to continue this call but I’d just love to meet you in person and I can’t have you trying to steal my fiancé anymore so… Kamek! Get ready!” Bowser commanded as the wizard started waving his staff.

Multi colored shapes were starting to form around them as Deku realized they were about to teleport. But he couldn’t leave Peach and Toad alone! He had to protect them! He had to protect his home! He continued to try to bust out of the spell until Bowser Jr wacked him upside the head with his metal hammer, dazing him long enough for Kamek to put the finishing touches on his spell and…

WHAM!

A pink streak flew onto the scene, slamming into Kamek and finally releasing Deku who collapsed on the ground coughing. “Oh no you don’t!” Bowser Jr said as he readied his car to launch a cannonball out of the mouth of the clown car. At that moment, a large fireball slammed onto the ground next to him, letting loose a large explosion that made the cannonball narrowly miss Izuku’s head. He saw where the fire came from and it was “Toad?” Deku thought as he saw the little mushroom man with a yellow head, an orange jacket and fire coming out of his hands. “I’ve got you buddy! Princess! He looks like he needs help!” Toad shouted as Princess Peach came into view. She was wearing a pink cat suit with large white paws and a long tail.

“Izuku! Hey Izuku! Don’t worry! We’re getting you out of here!” Peach reassured until she picked him up bride style to dodge a blast from Kamek. While in midair, Blue snatched Deku up and dragged him along the floor face first. While painful, this allowed the hero to wake up as he wrapped his legs around Blue’s neck and twisted so he flipped into the air and let him go. He then ran up to the recovering Koopa and then drop kicked him in the face, launching him across the platform.

At that point Peach and Toad made their way over to Deku as Bowser Jr launched a swarm of robotic dogs, ticking like time bombs and Kamek launched a volatile magic ball at the three. Deku then crosses his arms in an X shape and then chopped the air, shouting, “CAROLINA SMASH!!!” The slices of wind blew up the projectiles in mid air, shaking the entire pyramid as the roof started to cave in. “This pyramid isn’t going to stay up for long! We need to get out of here!” Peach shouted before dodging a tackle from Blue Shell.

“Nice try! We aren’t leaving until this little Deku is squashed!” Bowser Jr. said as he tried to punch the hero with boxing gloves coming out of his car. Toad and Kamek kept throwing projectiles at each other as Kamek tried to reason with the young Prince. “Little sire! Your father cares about you above all else! We need to evacuate!” At that point, Deku then grabbed the boxing gloves, slammed the car onto the ground and then kicked the car like a soccer ball to smack Blue Shell into Kamek.

As the trio were recovering, a large piece of rubble was about to land on Jr’s head. In a moment of pure panic, he shoved the little boy out of the way and took the blow head on, dazing him. “Kamek!” Bowser Jr shouted as he ejected from his car to check on the elderly turtle. Unaware of even more rubble about to crush them. At that moment however, Toad threw fire balls at the rubble, Peach leaped in and slashed the burnt remains and Deku even used the Air Force from his punches to toss the embers to the side.

It seemed that there was no way out. No exit that didn’t compromise their safety. However, Deku thought of something. It may not end well but it was their only shot. “Peach! Toad! Get next to them and prepare to run!” Deku shouted. The pair trusted him and went on to gather next to the tyrannous trio. The boy leaped up into the air, bouncing off of pieces of rubble and until he had reached near the apex of the pyramid, he jumped down in a blur down towards the platform. “100%: TEXAS… SMASH!!!” Deku roared as he punched the ground. The seemingly bottomless pyramid floor now revealed the desert floor.

“RUN FOR IT!” Deku yelled as the groups leaped down trying to outrun the expedited collapse of the structure. Large blocks of stone came close to crushing the fleeing heroes and villains as they carefully and quickly dodged them as a big dust cloud formed and blew them away as the pyramid finished its collapse. The dust cloud filled a large radius before finally dissipating, showing the escapees coughing and panting trying to breathe without sucking in more sand into their lungs.

Peach, Deku, and Toad stood back up and got into fighting positions to defend themselves from any oncoming attacks. “This… isn’t over…” Kamek said before ramping up his staff and teleporting the trio out of the desert, leaving the group of heroes to collapse out of exhaustion. “*breathe* I *breathe* think I *breathe* know his plan.” Deku said. “What *breathe* is it?” Peach asked. “He wants *breathe* to *breathe* marry you and thinks I’m *breathe* stealing you away.” He breathed. “Well…*breathe* he’s half right.” She said, chuckling.

Deku gently sat up leaving his dark purple arm to hang to and fro. “AHH! WHAT HAPPENED?!” Toad shouted, immediately standing up and walking around him. “Oh… it’s nothing. Just used a little too much power.” He explained. “Izuku! This isn’t okay! We need to help you!” Peach said, frantically wrapping up his arm in a makeshift splint. “Peach, it’s okay. I’m fine- Oh!” Deku said as Peach picked him up bride style once more. “Izuku. You need help and we are going to help you.” Peach said firmly giving him a look of concern and care.

Finally Deku relented as Toad pointed at his map. “Here on the map! There’s a tree we can rest at not too far from here.” Toad pointed out. “Thank you so much Toad. Come on. The sun should be setting soon.” Peach said, gently walking forward carrying Deku as a small blush radiated his face. The trio went off into the distance, worried about Izuku, not realizing that the care they showed him was more than enough to help him feel better already.

Chapter 6: Some Much Needed Comfort

Summary:

After a long and hard fought battle, the trio take a much needed rest where they all relax and talk. Deku’s past is brought up and some much needed venting is had.

Notes:

Hey y’all! Once again, thank you so much for all of your support. Let me know what you think of this chapter! I wanted to try my hand at emotional scenes. Also small talk and dialogue is not my strong suit so if y’all have some constructive criticism let me know!

Chapter Text

After the hard fought battle, the three heroes found themselves in a field of Fire Flowers with the moonlight shining above them. Deku was sat next to a skyscraper tall tree as Peach unwrapped the handkerchief on his arm. “Ah!” Deku groaned in pain. “Sorry!” “It’s okay! I’ve been through worse.” That didn’t quite alíviate Peach’s worry and she made that clear with a skeptical look. “Sorry.” Deku shrugged, nervously.

“Hmm. I just need you to hold still okay? This won’t hurt but it will feel tingly. In a… pins and needles kind of way.” Peach explained. “Don’t worry Izuku! You’ll be okay! The princess is an expert at this. Plus you’ll have my patented mushroom soup to look forward to! You don’t mind it being a little spicy though right?” Toad asked. “Not at all!” Deku said smiling. “Okay… don’t worry Izuku. You’ll be okay soon.” Peach said as a pink and transparent heart wrapped around his arm as it glowed brighter and brighter.

Now as the light faded, Deku’s arm was now no longer purple and limp and now back to its original color if just a little pinker. “Wow… this is amazing!” Deku said, squeezing his hand and forming a grip and releasing it over and over forming a fist. “Oh it’s nothing. Just be careful with that arm. It’s still healing.” Peach warned. “Maybe you really are from my world! Your power is a lot like a quirk!” Deku said excitedly. “Hmm. There’s a huge universe out there. With a lot of galaxies. It’d be nice if it was a simple answer like that but…knowing how things go I’m probably from another world.” Peach said, smiling and poking and checking his arm.

“Eh. Life’s complicated. But at least we got good food.” Toad said as he poured his soup into three seperate bowls he had in his pack. Deku and Peach took the bowls and Toad sat down on a log across from them. “Wow! Toad! This is amazing!” Deku said as his face lit up tasting the soup. “Aww it’s nothing.” Toad said, gently swatting the air out of joy. “No Toad he’s right! This soup is amazing!” Peach said, gently licking the corner of her lips as a drop of soup found itself trying to escape.

The trio sat there and ate in silence, unaware of the question swirling around in Peach’s mind. “Hey Izuku?” Peach asked. “Yeah Peach?” “Can I ask a question?” “Of course!” “Why did they call you Deku back there?” In an instant, his face fell and he froze up, his mind immediately going to when Bakugo called him that before suggesting he… well… yeah. “-ku. Izuku?” Peach asked, her hands approaching him out of worry.

“Oh. I’m sorry it’s just… it’s kind of personal.” Izuku said, blankly trying to keep a smile. “I understand. You don’t need to explain anymore.” She reassured him. “It’s… it’s okay. I… I Can explain.” He said. “Are you sure man? You really don’t need to we can see it’s a really personal topic.” Toad reassured him. “Really. It’s okay.” Deku said, clenching his fists, afraid he was coming off annoyed or irritated. After taking a deep breath and using his hand to rub his face and push back his hair, he was ready.

“So… you know I told you about how… quirkless people make up a lesser part of the population?” Deku said. “Yeah.” Toad answered. “Well… yeah. That… hmm. I forgot to mention that this led many quirkless people to be… looked down upon to put it lightly. And I was one of them. And one of the biggest contributors to this was my childhood friend Katsuki Bakugo. He… well my name Izuku, when written a certain way Can be read as Deku. Which can be an abbreviation for the phrase Dekunobu or… ‘good for nothing.’” Deku explained.

“So… yeah… a combo of me wanting to be a hero but also being quirkless thoughout most of my life made that nickname follow me around through most of life. Even to a whole other world. He found my notebooks in the darklands.” Deku said. “Izuku…I’m…I’m so sorry. I had no idea you had to go through all of that.” Peach said. “It’s okay. I…honestly it feels kinda nice to say all of this.” Deku admitted. “You really had to deal with that throughout your whole life?” Toad asked, fumed at his best friend’s treatment.

“Yeah…” Deku said, the air draining out of him. “But it’s okay. I just…it’s okay. I’m okay.” “Are you sure? You seem… off.” Toad asked. Deku’s breath hitched. This was the first time anyone really noticed and called out his tendency to shut down. “Yeah. I’m fine.” Deku responded. “Do you want to talk more about it?” Peach asked. “Nah! It’s okay! Feel like I’ve brought down the mood enough already.” Deku said, chuckling and rubbing his thumbs together. “Izuku. Please. You don’t need to worry about that.” She responded. “I mean, what do I have to complain about? Sure my life wasn’t the easiest but I’m still way more blessed than so many others. So what if I didn’t really have any friends or the support of my mom? I now have the opportunity to be a hero and am making friends now.” Deku said his voice cracking.

Peach gently took off her gloves and took Deku’s hand in hers. The warmness from the contact was surprising but…oddly comforting. It was almost like the warmness from her presence made its way into his heart as she rubbed his thumb. “Things may have improved but that doesn’t get over the fact that you have still been through a lot.” Toad said. “But why would I focus on that? I’m doing okay right now why should I bring up stuff that happened years ago?” Deku said. “Did it only happen years ago?” Peach said, raising her eyebrows. He had no response to this which said all he needed to say.

“Izuku… you need to hear this. You are amazing okay?” Peach said. “Okay.” “Izuku. You are amazing.” “Okay.” “Izuku, you are amazing.” “Okay Peach.” “You are amazing.” “I understand.” “You are amazing.” “…” “Izuku?” And at that moment, both Toad and Peach saw teardrops fall from Izuku’s eyes as he looked at them with a sad smile. “D-d-do you r-r-really mean it?” His voice quivered. At that moment, Peach ran over to him and embraced him, pulling his head into her shoulders as she gently rubbed his back and his head. “Of course.”

“Why?” Deku asked as his tears started falling more heavily. “You just are. Your kindness. Your lovely smile. Your care. Everything about you is amazing.” Peach reassured him. At that moment, Deku threw his arms around her and pulled her even closer. “T-t-t-thank you.” He cried. Peach held back as many tears as she could but the thought of something as simple as calling him amazing bringing him to tears struck her to the core. She wanted to help make up for the years of dismissal he faced. “Of course.”

At that moment, Toad walked up, leaped on the log and hugged his best friend’s back. His small and tight grip made him feel even more safe in just letting loose his emotions. Never had he been able to just…let himself feel. He always had to keep a lid on it to refrain from upsetting his mom or risk being made fun of at his school. And yet… here was his newfound partner and friends just comforting him and letting him feel his feelings out of the kindness of their hearts.

It was… honestly indescribable.

Chapter 7: Never Alone

Summary:

Peach vents to Deku about the stresses she constantly faces and the group prepares to head off to the Kong Kingdom.

Notes:

Hey y’all! So this chapter is a bit shorter so I’ll release another in just a bit. Thank you all so much for your support.

Chapter Text

Deku and Peach were cleaning up the area they ate at while Toad made sure that their supplies were packed up. “How are you feeling Izuku?” Peach asked. “I’m… working on it.” Deku responded. “Thank you guys for last night. I…I didn’t realize how much I needed to hear that.” “There’s no need to thank us. Honestly. You deserved to hear all of that.” Peach said. “Yeah. Honestly. You are getting more and more compliments for the rest of the time we know each other.” Toad said. While the sentiment on its own was nice, the implication that they will know each other for longer than this journey was what really made Deku feel better.

“So. What’s the game plan?” Deku asked. “Okay so, the Kong Kingdom should be about a couple more hours away. We should get there about noon. So we’ll need to not only make our way to the king, but also convince him to team up with us.” Toad said. “Sounds easy, but it never is is it?” Deku said. “Nope. Even if they let us through the gates, they have a reputation of turning down any offers of alliances. The king is very prideful and stubborn and whatever he says, the rest of the Kongs will and won’t do.” Peach explained. “Even back when King K Rool-“ Toad started. “Who?” Deku whispered to Peach. “I’ll tell you later.”

“-laid siege overseas, he refused to join forces with anyone. Saying if they were weak enough to fall to him they weren’t worthy of joining forces with and I quote, ‘the greatest army in the world!’” Toad said, giving a crotchety impression of the king. Deku gave a little clap as Toad bowed. “So I give us about a 50/50 shot of him accepting our offer. And that’s being generous.” “Welp. Better than a 40/60 shot.” Deku said. “That’s the ticket! Now we should leave in a few minutes I’m just gonna do a quick scope to see if we left anything behind.” Toad said before hopping off.

Deku smiled at his friends’ energy before realizing he hadn’t heard from Peach in a bit. He turned around and saw her facing opposite of them, grasping her chest and trying control her breathing which seemed more rapid than usual. In a hurry, Deku hurried to her side and gently placed his hands on her shoulders and faced her. “Peach? What’s wrong?” Deku asked. “It’s okay. Nothing’s wrong. I’m okay.” Peach said, lying through her teeth, and trying to force a smile and talk without gasping.

Deku then took her hands and then placed a gentle touch on her face after taking off his glove. “Look at me. Look at me. I’m right here. You’re okay. You are okay. It’s okay. You are right here.” He reassured. Peach started slowing her breath and taking deeper and deeper ones. Without another word, Deku took her by the hands and sat her against the tree as he sat right next to her. He took out his water bottle and gave it to her and she gulped it down without thought.

“Ahh… Thank you Izuku. I just… I needed a minute.” Peach said. “What’s wrong Peach?” Deku asked. “It’s nothing. You don’t have to worry about it.” She said. This made Deku raise his eyebrow. “Peach, I can tell it’s not nothing. I understand but if you don’t want to discuss it but if you want to you can talk about it with me.” He said. After that he put on a smile and just sat next to her with his legs crossed. He said nothing but that itself said it all. He was more than willing to wait and accept whatever she wanted to do and he made that clear without saying a word.

“I don’t know. I just…I love my Toads and I’ll do anything to protect them since they took care of me and gave me a home but…I feel that…I can’t really…no that’s not right. I don’t want to worry them.” Peach said. “How so?” He asked. “I…I have to deal with so much. I need to make sure everyone is calm, everyone is happy, I need to fight off threats to the kingdom and… sometimes it’s all a bit much. I don’t want to sound ungrateful because I will never forget what they all did for me but…I just wish I didn’t have to deal with so much. And whenever I crack, I can see how worried and sad they are and I don’t want to put them through that.” She explained.

“I understand. I…they would love to hear you ask for help I’m sure of it. I’ve seen them and how much they love you and I’m sure they would love to jump at the opportunity to help you.” Deku said. “But…I’m their Princess. I need to take care of anything. I can’t just push my feelings onto them. And I can’t bear to see their reactions to the fact that I’ve felt like this for a while.” She said. “I understand but Peach…no one can do everything on their own. Everyone needs help. Everyone needs a moment to break. Everyone needs to have people to rely on. I know your fear of that. But. You don’t have to be afraid. I’m right here. We are here for you.” Deku said.

“You can break. I’ll help keep you together. I’m here. We’re here. You can trust us and you can trust me. It’ll be hard to open up after so much time but know that I’m right here. You can rely on me.” He said. At that moment, she took a deep breath. And slowly but surely, tears fell from her eyes. She took sharp and shallow breaths as she tried to balance both crying and breathing. Deku placed a hand on her back and immediately, she leaned over and placed her face in his chest. He held her even closer and let his warmth flow into her as her body stopped tensing up.

“I just want to make sure they are okay.” “They will be Peach.” “I don’t want them to see me like this.” “They will still love you.” “I…” and just like that, Peach stopped crying and just let her breathe quiver as her anxieties seemed to flow away as her newfound partner held her. After a couple of minutes, Peach sat back up and wiped her face. Deku took a handkerchief out of his pocket and helped wipe some of her tears away.

“Thank you Izuku.” Peach said, as she took a deep breath and wiped her eyes once more. “It really is my pleasure Peach. How are you feeling?” He asked. In that moment, Peach looked at his face, his sweet, concerned and smiling face and now saw not just a nice boy. Not just a new partner. But someone that she knew, that she could trust. “A lot better. Thank you so much for asking. How about you Izu?” She asked. “Just… I’m happy you are feeling better Peach. Thank you so much for asking.” He responded.

“Hey guys! We’re all good to go!” Toad said, coming into view. “Sounds good Toad. Thank you.” Peach said sweetly. “Of course! Let’s go! Wa Hoo!” Toad said as he hopped into the distance. Before the two took off, Peach looked at Deku longingly and while a bit shy, he understood what she wanted. As soon as he opened his arms, despite the height difference, Peach practically leaped into him and squeezed him.

He gently ran his hands along her back, feeling her soft dress and she ran her hands along his as well. She placed her head into his shoulders and just embraces the safety that brought her. Deku gently but strongly embraced her with more force. And in that moment, again, it felt like all of Peach’s worry and doubts were non existent. All that was left was comfort, hope and warmness. The two seperated and gently placed their foreheads together. “You ready?” Deku asked. “Ready.” Peach smiled. And off they go.

Chapter 8: Arrival at the Kong Kingdom

Summary:

Bowser sees what happened to Jr and Peach, Deku, and Toad arrive at the Kong Kingdom.

Notes:

Hey y’all! Thank you for supporting me! I just want to know your opinions on my dialogue. Personally I’m always a fan of the little back and forths and banter characters have. Even if it isn’t the most funny I feel like it adds just a bit more character and personality to the overall story. Like Deku and Toad’s whole 50/50 Vs 40/60 bit last chapter.

Chapter Text

Bowser sat playing his piano, wondering about how his son was doing. Until… “PAPA!!!” Suddenly he was tackled off the piano by his 7 Koopalings: Roy, Ludwig, Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, and Lemmy. “KIDS! How are you?!” Bowser chuckled as he played with them as they ran all around him and climbed his shell. “We were looking for you Papa!” Iggy said. “We’re so bored…can we go out and fight someone?” Wendy said, her rings jiggling.

“In time Wendy. Your brother should be back any second with a new plaything for you all.” Bowser said. “Oh yeah! New punching bag!” Roy said, shining his shades. At that moment however, a large flash of magic shined as Bowser Jr, Blue, and Kamek landed on the floor, beaten and bruised. “JR!” The family shouted as they ran towards the trio. “They were too much for us sire. We had to tactfully retreat.” Blue said, weakly saluting.

“Jr! Kamek! What happened?!” Bowser said holding them both up. “He…he was too strong Papa…” Jr coughed. “We…we had the child in our grasp but the Princess and her Toad showed up and interrupted my spell.” Kamek moaned. “Papa… the pyramid nearly collapsed on us and he took down the rubble in just one punch.” Bowser took a pause in that moment.

He was looking at one of his soldiers, his advisor, and his son bruised and tired in front of his eyes due to the man trying to steal his fiancé. But he also had saved all of them. He could have just let them die. But he didn’t. There’s no doubt in his mind that he had saved them after reading his notebooks. As Ludwig, Larry, Lemmy and Wendy used their wands to try and heal the trio, Bowser approached them.

Bowser gently patted Kamek on the back, gave a light bow to Blue and gently ruffled Jr’s mohawk. “You all did amazing. Don’t worry. This isn’t over.” Bowser said, smiling. However, inside of his mind, all Bowser could think about was the boy who hurt his child and was coming closer and closer to not only denying him his fiancé, but also denying his children a mother. “Deku…”

Near the Kong Kingdom

“Hey Izuku?” Peach asked. “Sorry, was zoning out what’s the matter?” Deku asked, stepping over a log, helping Peach and Toad over it. “Me and Toad were wondering…if it’s not too much or too personal…” Peach wondered. “It’s okay. I don’t mind. We’ve been though a lot at this point I feel like im closer to you guys than almost anyone else back home.” Deku reassured. “Okay…well…how does your nickname work?” Toad asked.

“I’m sorry?” Deku asked, genuine confusion painted all over his face. “Well…you said your name, when read a certain way can be Deku. Now… it makes sense for the ku part but how can Izu be read as De?” Toad asked. “Ah! Okay!” He said, his brain finally connecting what they were talking about. “Hmm…okay so back home, we have a way of writing called, ‘Kanji.’ In this, words can be represented with characters. And some of the ways of writing can be read certain ways. So the character for Izu can be read as De.” “Ah okay. But.. does that mean anything on its own?” Peach asked.

“It doesn’t actually but ‘Deku’ can be an abbreviation for ‘Dekiru- ah I’m sorry. ‘Dekunobu’ which means ‘good for nothing.’” Deku said. “Wow. He really had to reach to be that cruel huh?” Toad snarked. “He really decided to cut up an existing phrase that means nothing when abbreviated to insult you as an inside joke.” Peach said, shaking her head. “Eh, at this point, it’s not even the worst thing he’s done.” He shrugged.

“What?! What else could he have done?!” Toad said, his hands grasping his head. “From the insults to encouraging you to jump off a building…” “Uh…maybe now isn’t the best time…Peach looks like she’s about to put the Fire Flower to shame.” Deku said as both of the two looked at the Princess who was clenching her fists as well as her teeth. “Oh! Um…apologies. I just…” She stammered. “It’s okay. It’s nice to see you both get so invested in what I went through.” He said, comforting his partner. “I just…I guarantee you the first thing I do when I see him is break his nose.” She said, smiling at the thought.

“Oh! I’d pay to see that!” Toad said, jumping up and down. And even Deku couldn’t deny how fun that would be to see. “Wait…Izu. Can I ask…what is Dekiru?” Peach asked. “Oh! Sorry! Got a little mixed up going from English to Japanese.” He explained. “I guess Dekiru means…well…it basically means ‘Can do Anything.’” “Well…why not use that?” Peach said. “What do you mean?” Deku wondered confused. “If people are calling you this in general, why not make it your own? Use that and let them know that a weapon used against you is now something you’ve used to strengthen you as maybe even your hero name!” Peach said.

“That’s a good idea! I mean, it’s simple, to the point, and it’s cool since you happened across it with friends encouraging you it has a nice story!” Toad said. Izuku’s heart was warmed at Toad saying that they were friends once again. “Maybe…” He pondered. “Plus, it sounds kinda cute.” Peach said, smiling. “Deku it is!” He shouted, beet red and hiding his face in his hands. “Just like that!” Toad said, laughing. The friends had a large laughing fit as they continued to walk through the jungle. As Toad, once again, took off running through the branches, Deku took Peach into a large embrace with watery eyes. “Oh! Izu? Are you okay?” Peach asked. “Thank you.” He said. In that moment, Peach took him even closer and ran her hand through his hair and gently rubbed his back.

“Of course…Deku.” She said, gently kissing his forehead. Something in Deku’s eyes just absolutely lit up. It was almost as if they had gained a shine from the tears but the shear joy and love in his eyes. A large smile went onto his face as Toad came over and shouted, “ I want a hug too!” Like that, Deku scooped him up and squeezed him as if he were a plushie. Peach smiled on, the sheer love and care in her heart making its way into her eyes as she looked at her partner and felt even more happy knowing that she had the capability to make him happy as well.

10 Minutes Later

The trio then finally arrived at the gates leading to the Kong Kingdom. The large gates stood there menacingly with a large monkey head in the middle with small knocking rings handing from the nose. “You ready?” Peach asked. “Yup!” Deku and Toad said, in synch. And with that, Peach knocked on the door and stood back. Moments turned into seconds as they worried whether or not they were turned down.

Before their worries worsened, a large gorilla in a white sports coat came bursting from the gate, roaring in their faces. Toad hid behind Deku and Peach as the both got into combat stances. “Whaaat?” Toad said as he peeped out from Deku’s leg. “We…are here to see the king.” Peach said, not backing down as the gorilla got closer and closer trying to use his size to intimidate her. Peach just looked at him right back in the eyes while lightning flowed from Deku’s body as he prepared himself for any potential fight.

“Follow me.” The gorilla said simply as he walked back through the gates. “That gorilla’s wearing a sports coat.” Deku said blankly staring ahead. “I feel underdressed.” Toad joked, pulling at his own little vest. The trio looked on and saw the gorilla get into a go cart of some kind while putting on sunglasses. “Hop in.” He said. Still a bit confused, Deku and Peach approached the cart wondering where Toad was supposed to sit as the back of the cart had only enough room for two people to stand on near a rail for support.

At that moment, a smaller cart popped out of a compartment in the back for Toad and he happily hopped in. As Peach and Deku barely got settled in the back, the cart took off, barreling down a wooden road that barely scraped the foliage of the jungle. They continued down a large slope, nearing a ramp. “Waitwaitwaitwai AHHHHHHHHH!!!” Deku and Peach screamed as they soared through the air. “WAH HOO!” Toad screamed in joy as he lifted up from his seat.

The landed smoothly back down on a spiraling ramp down a pointed mountain. The momentum made Peach nearly fall off until she used Deku’s cheek as a hold until the straightened away. “Sorry!” Peach said, sheepishly. “It’s okay!” Deku said as he rubbed his face. “Woah…” Toad said, prompting them to look out and see the Kong Kingdom. It looked more like a tropical resort with many wooden roads above water, stands of bananas and drinks, and all around a laid back yet somehow still frantic vibe.

Once again, the group ended up driving up a mountain, the momentum launching Toad out of his little cart and without a moment of hesitation, Deku leaped out and grabbed him by the arm as Peach held his remaining arm, keeping the two from flying down to the water below. “WOOOO!” Toad yelled once more as Peach used the momentum of going into a straightaway to pull the two back into the cart. Before the group could even rest, they saw another ramp coming up and found themselves flying through the air. But…there was no landing ramp…

The trio screamed as they felt gravity shift and found themselves falling into the foliage until,

FWOOP!

A green hang-glider deployed from the back of the cart as they soared towards a carved out mountain side with a large monkey face. They continued to soar towards the opened mouth and as the cart landed, the trio were ejected from the carts. Toad tumbled onto his backside, Deku stumbled until clumsily landing on his knee and foot, and Peach may have stumbled a bit but still managed to land somewhat gracefully. They had made it. In front of them they could see a large throne, two lines of guards and an elderly gorilla laying on the throne. It was now or never.

Chapter Text

“Please by all means…come in!” The elderly gorilla known as Cranky Kong said as the trio walked closer and closer. “Great Kong King. We humbly come to you, asking for help and assistance in fighting for our lands and protecting our people.” Peach said. “Okay. You can have my army.” Cranky said. “Really?” She responded skeptically. “No! You can’t have my army. Goodbye. Pick up a banana to go if you want. We have plenty of brown ones.” He responded, stroking his beard with his foot.

“But your highness, Bowser is on his way. Once his army is done with the Mushroom Kingdom, he will make his way to your kingdom.” Peach reasoned. “Well then, if you can’t stop them, we’ll deal with them once they come.” Cranky responded. “But the cataclysm their army will cause!” She tried reasoning with the stubborn gorilla. “Not our problem. We’re not going to get involved. We can handle ourselves.” Cranky said, sipping out of a coconut.

“Doesn’t the idea of many suffering or perishing due to your inaction haunt you?” Peach asked. “Nope! We’ve had to deal with many trying to take advantage of our forces and we’re not going to fight in your war and end up harming our own people.” Cranky dismissed. Toad held Peach’s hand as she got more and more visibly frazzled. A strand of hair dropping in front of her face, sweat forming on her brow, and her hands sweating through her gloves.

Deku couldn’t let this go on any longer. He won’t let his partner handle this alone and he won’t let people fall to Bowser’s army due to this selfish man- er Gorilla’s inaction. “Listen here you bruised banana, this man has conquered galaxies and you think your army on its own will be able to stop them? Your inaction won’t just lead to the end of the Mushroom Kingdom but the end of your kingdom as well!” Deku yelled, clenching his fists. Peach stood there, glad Izuku was backing her up and helping her but afraid of how the Kong would react.

Immediately, the gorilla and his guards burst out laughing. “I like this kid! He makes me laugh! Tell me wise guy, what makes your think you and the Toads are worthy with fighting alongside the greatest…army… in the world!” Cranky roared. “We have heart! And we have a hero! We have experience and we have determination!” Peach said back, straightening her back. “Ha! That’s cute! Tell you what…you can have my army. If… you beat my son in the Great! Ring! Of! Kooooooong!” Cranky cheered as his guards hooted and hollered. “Fine. I’ll fight him.” Peach said. “Oh Ho Ho Ho. Not you Princess. Him.” He responded, using his foot to point at Deku.

“If that’s what it takes.” Deku said as the guards cheered. “Hehe, can me and my partner just have a little moment?” Peach asked as she pulled Deku to the side. “Izu! You can’t do this! His son is the best fighter in the land and has knocked the entire moon out of orbit!” Peach whispered. “Let me talk to him and maybe I can convince him to let me fight his son.”

“Peach, this is the only way. We saw how stubborn he was in just offering the opportunity to use his army. And besides, it’s like I told you. You aren’t alone. I can help you.” Deku said, looking sweetly into her eyes. “You know…it’s rude to whisper. We got a deal?” Cranky said, appearing between them suddenly, wanting to make sure his time wasn’t being wasted. Deku wanted to say yes but first took Peach’s hand and made sure he knew that they were a team and he wouldn’t make a move she didn’t want. She took a deep breath and gently squeezed his hand back.

“You’ve got yourself a deal sir. I’ll fight your son and win.” Deku said, more confidence than ever flowing through him. “I’m sure you will.” Cranky laughed as he started coughing while being loaded into a cart. He peeled out and went towards what the group assumed was going to be the battle arena. “Don’t worry Peach. I’ve got you.” Izuku reassured. “Thank you Izu.” Peach sighed. “I trust you.” “You’ve got this buddy!” Toad cheered.

15 Minutes Later

Deku started walking down a long dark hallway that trailed down to a large opening with light that started to blind him. As his eyes adjusted, he was greeted with a floating arena above a large body of water. The center had a long metal red piece of scaffolding that connected both ends of the arena. There also seemed to be all kinds of smaller pieces of scaffolding above, below, and around him. All of these also had wooden blocks along with the familiar power up boxes.

The thing that stood out the most was that the arena was filled with gorillas booing the poor young hero. Up on front, sat Cranky Kong on his throne with Peach and Toad sitting in smaller seats. The whole section was above a large set of wooden doors that slowly started to open. A large roar came from the hallway and Deku could feel the ground start to shake as he saw a shadow approaching.

Before he could see exactly what it was, two brown arms and hands grabbed onto both sides of the doors and catapulted a large, muscular gorilla with a red tie around his neck with the yellow initials, “DK.” The gorilla slammed onto the ground and started to beat the scaffolding both were standing on, startling Izuku.

🎶Here we- here we- here we go! DK! Donkey Kong!🎶 Music played as the gorilla moved his eyebrows smugly egging Deku on before catching two flying barrels and smashing them together, splintering them into wooden shards. “I’m DK! I’m Donkey Kong!” The gorilla said as the crowd now cheered and roared.

“I think his name is Donkey Kong. Also where is this music coming from?” Izuku thought to himself. “Oh yeah! Hi dad!” DK yelled as he waved at his dad. “No-don’t do that!” Bracket said, pinching the bridge of his eyes. “Dad wave back!” DK said, flexing for the crowd. “Enough with the showboating!” Cranky shouted. “What do you mean?! They like it! Look at what they came here for! Dancing pecs!” He shouted as flexed his pectorals and made them dance. “Is this guy real?” Deku and Peach thought.

“Okay everyone. Simmer down. Simmer down! That means you Diddy Kong!” Cranky said, pointing to a little gorilla chanting Donkey Kong’s name. “Sorry.” Diddy Kong said, sheepishly sitting back down. “Now. I enjoy a good fight like anyone else. So to make sure this lasts longer than 20 seconds, I’ve put power ups around the arena. You’re welcome…” “Izuku.” Peach whispered. “Izuku!” Cranky said. “I don’t need anything special to break every bone in your tiny puny body!” DK said, getting into a running stance.

“Well this feels familiar.” Deku thought, letting out a sigh as the bolstering prince reminded him of an old friend back home. With one more sigh, Deku pulled down his bunny mask and placed his teeth mask in place, getting laughs out of the crowd and DK. He jumped up and down, doing stretches, and charging up electricity. Peach gave him a smile and a nod while Toad gave him two thumbs up. With a smile on his face and in the blink of an eye, he took off running at a normal pace to his opponent as DK barreled towards him.

He cockily put his arm out as a way to catch the boy, thinking this would be an easy finish. Izuku predicted this however, charged up Full Cowling and right at the last second leaped past DK. “What the-“ DK muttered as he tried to figure how to catch this guy. Deku kept bouncing up and around the scaffolding to confuse the gorilla. When he wasn’t looking, the young hero then dropkicked DK and then quickly moved on and tried to continue his hit and run tactics.

“And I thought Diddy Kong was fast!” DK thought as he took a punch to the face before his opponent rushed away once more. Deku then charged up one punch to end it all, coming up right behind DK. “Detroit… SMA-AGH!” He cried out in pain as DK, saw his attack coming and swung his arm from behind right into his side. Deku bounced off the scaffolding, clutching his side in pain. DK ran over and clapped the ground, sending Deku up in the air for a short time. Then DK grabbed his leg and slammed him on opposite sides of the platform. He lined him up for a mighty dropkick that sent Deku crashing into the wooden doors DK came out of.

“Agh. He definitely hits harder than Kacchan.” Deku thought until he saw DK roll into a ball, ready to slam into the boy. Deku then jumped off the beam onto one on a lower level. Before he could even breathe, Deku leaped off the beam and swung on a rope as DK threw a barrel at him. He then landed on a group of three blocks as DK leaped down to interrupt him potentially getting a power up.

However, Deku’s plan was different. He tore the wooden block out and tossed it right into DK’s face, discombobulating him. As he was falling, Deku scooped up DK in his arms and started spinning. “OKLAHOMA… SMASH!!” Deku roared as air pressure had launched DK up into the air.

He then started to bounce off of blocks to reach his opponent before DK brought his hands together for a large clap that sent its own gust of wind, knocking the green boy to the floor. He once again bounced off the beam before DK elbow dropped him right in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him. He then started spinning in his own interpretation of what Deku did and started punching him multiple times while spinning like a top instead of a long wind powered throw.

The multiple punches knocked the mask off of Izuku as he felt himself losing consciousness. “Is this what you came for?!” DK shouted to the crowd, trying to hide how much damage this kid was doing to him. “Time to end this!” DK shouted as he started to spin his arm faster and faster until becoming a brown blur. As DK was throwing the punch, Deku felt a twinge in the back of his neck and on instinct, dodged the punch and judo flipped the large primate onto his back.

The sheer force of the punch tore off the top of his costume, leaving his top bare. Even DK stopped in curiosity seeing all the burn marks and scars decorating the kid’s muscles. So many slash marks, many faded burns, scars that seemed to be on a mission to not leave a single spot on his body uncovered. “Had enough?” Deku said, spitting out some blood from his mouth. “Not even close.” DK smiled, getting oddly excited to fight him, now acknowledging him as a fighter worth his time.

DK swung his fists towards Deku, almost as if he was going to crush his head. However, Deku clashed by intercepting his punches with his own. A large gust of winds blew through the entire stadium before Deku jumped back and then shouted, “One for All: 50 PERCENT!” The two roared as Deku then threw many rapid fire punches that continued to clash and send more and more shockwaves throughout the stadium, even shaking the whole kingdom.

Deku then started taking a boxing stance and started throwing haymakers into DK’s face, stomach and chest as he swiftly and narrowly dodged the punches from his large opponent. In order to retreat, DK head butted him and ran to the other side of the platform and tossed more and more barrels at Izuku as he dodged two and straight leaped through the last before zooming past DK, bouncing off the wall by using air pressure and head butting him right in the spine. “DELAWARE SMASH!”

The two tumbled into a ball until DK straddled Deku on the floor and started punching harder and harder as spit flew from his mouth and once more he found his consciousness fading. “DEKU!” Out of the corner of his fading awareness, he heard Peach call his name. His hero name. He needed to be her hero. He accepted this challenge. He offered to help her. He needed to win.

Deku then wrapped his arms around DK and then charged up his legs and then slammed his opponent through multiple metal beams as he leaped up into the air with the gorilla taking the full force of the multiple blows. Deku then used the force from his punches to spin into DK’s side, landing a powerful kick that sent DK back down to ground level. “ST. LOUIS SMASH!”

DK groaned at the impact of him bending the steel beam but leaped up as he saw his opponent spinning, aiming to land an axe kick. “MANCHESTER SMASH!” He launched a punch that managed to stop the kick for a bit before the force overwhelmed him and his arm was knocked back, leaving him defenseless. With that, all restraints were off. Deku then started to bounce around the arena again. He continued to land blow after blow on DK, moving too fast for him to react. The force was so overwhelming that he rose from the ground from the air pressure being formed from the hero’s movements.

And then, he saw his moment. Deku then leaped high enough for the stadium to look like a speck, punched towards the sky, screaming “DELAWARE SMASH!” The Air Force sent him hurtling towards DK so fast 10 Sonic Booms echoed through the kingdom. Deku then spun in the air and charged his right hand with as much power as possible and prepared his finishing blow.

“100%. DETROIT…SMAAAAAASH!!!!” Deku roared, using the momentum to carry into his most powerful attack and sent DK slamming through the entire platforms into the water below. Panicking, the young hero launched himself, broken arm and all and then caught DK in midair before they both slammed into the water, launching a splash so large it managed to cover the entire stadium. The crowd, Cranky, Toad and Peach all looked on in fear at what had become of the combatants. Until…

*BOOM!*

Deku launched himself out of the water and landed on the rubble of the blocks, holding DK over his shoulder. The crowd roared! They saw this kid get pummeled by the Prince and mocked by the audience and he not only bounced back he saved DK as well! “Deku! Deku! Deku!” The crowd shouted.

Deku looked on in awe. Never in his life would he have imagined that he would get to save someone, but he also had a crowd of people no longer putting him down but lifting him up.

Peach smiled smugly and leaned against Cranky’s throne. “Yeah. Yeah…” He said, unable to hide a smirk. Deku stood up, shiner forming, eye swelling, arm dangling, and spitting blood out of his mouth. But as Peach looked on happier than he had ever seen her and a large sigh of relief coming from her, Deku didn’t mind the pain. Her smile made it all worth it.

Chapter 10: Rainbow Riot

Summary:

It is time to storm and ambush Bowser’s troops. However, Bowser might have caught on to the plan and is cooking up one of his own.

Chapter Text

Deku sat on the fence of a house, holding his arm as Peach surrounded him with her Heart Power. “You were amazing Deku! You took on the strongest Kong and not only defeated him but saved him!” Peach said, jumping around as soon as he was healed up. “It was nothing. I couldn’t just let him fall.” He responded, rubbing the back of his head.

“I am personally going to your world with a Fire Flower and have a chat with anyone who insulted you. You are amazing.” Peach responded. “Thank you Peach. You’re amazing too.” Deku said, smiling. “I’m never leaving your side. You know that right?” She said. “H-h-huh?” He stuttered. “You heard me. You’re too precious to me. I’m making sure you are safe. So…never leaving your side.” Peach clarified confidently. “Oh. Huh. Heh.” Deku tried to brush off.

He kept a big smile and wiped away a few of the tears that dripped down his face. But his voice started to quiver. So much emotion just started to well up it was almost like Izuku was choking on it. His lips started to wiggle and shake as more and more tears fell from his eyes. He kept trying to wipe them away until he realized it wasn’t going to stop anytime soon and didn’t want Peach to see him like this so he used his hands to cover his eyes before it all was too much. The comfort, the reassurance, he just broke. His knees buckled and he started to fall closer to the floor.

In a flash, Peach wrapped him up in a warm embrace. And while he was still a bit tender from his rumble, Deku still embraced her back as if she were his life line. At this point…she may as well be. He never really heard any kind of declaration from anyone before. Not even his mother. He knew she loved him but…well…it was different. Peach saw and recognized his fears and anxiety. And she somehow knew, exactly how to help him. Deku just cried into her dress, absolutely collapsing in her arms, feeling safer then he ever had been before.

“It’s okay. I’m not going anywhere.” She reassured him. “…thank you…” Deku chocked out. “I…I I’m never leaving your side either.” “Really?” Peach asked, surprised to hear such a declaration from the boy. “Of course. I…I…I will protect you too.” He said. “As long as we’re together, everything will be okay.” Peach said. After a while, no words needed to be said. The warmth they felt and the comfort they brought each other was enough to say all that needed to be said.

15 Minutes Later

“You didn’t tell me you could fly!” Peach said, geeking out about her partner moves during the fight. “It’s not like that! I just used some Air Force from my punches and kicks to gain some air time.” Deku said, sheepishly. “You can use all the words you want but admit it Izu! You can fly!” She said, smiling into his face. “I…huh. I guess I can huh?” He relented.

“Hmm. But I felt something new. It was like an odd…sense. I could feel when DK’s hit was going to land on me and that just tickled the back of my neck. Almost like a reflex.” Deku said. “Hmm…I don’t think you mentioned some kind of an awareness in what One For All can do for you.” Peach recalled. “Maybe there are layers to the power? Like I’m pretty sure I discover new aspects of mine every day.”

“Huh. I don’t think so. But… when considering I’m not the only one to use One For All… could it be possible that… I somehow inherited some past abilities?” Deku wondered. “Oh! That sounds so cool! Maybe you can unlock all of their abilities! Wonder when they can unlock.” Peach wondered.

“And also, can you teach me some of your moves? I had to learn how to fight on my own but I’m assuming you had some training.” Peach asked. “Of course! I’d love to teach you! A bit of a warning, I’m a bit…inexperienced. That was only the second fight I had.” He admitted. “What…” Peach said. “Yeah. And I mainly tried to focus too much on quantity over quality. I am decent at boxing, judo, jujitsu, MMA, but I think maybe I should have focused on mastering one before doing another.” Deku muttered.

“Hey, either way, you showed Donkey Kong what for.” Peach said. At that moment, DK kicked down the door of the hut they were resting at. “I let him win! Just for the record.” He whined. At that moment, Deku was just annoyed. He had dealt enough with cocky and uppity little men that liked to flex how cool they thought they were. And his moment with Peach was interrupted. “Really?” Deku asked, raising his eyebrow.

“I just wanted to make things more interesting for the crowd! I had you right where I want you!” DK yelled. “Carrying your unconscious body towards your dad?” Deku asked plainly. “Oh you’re funny huh? You want a rematch?” DK asked, through gritted teeth and while tossing a barrel at Deku’s head. “Anytime you want. I could use the workout!” He said, ducking under the barrel with Peach.

Deku then charged up Full Cowling and got into a boxing stance as DK towered over him with a smug grin littering his face. Toad just pulled up on the place where Deku was rested and handed Peach a banana as both of them are and watched as the two got closer and closer to throwing down the gauntlet again. Suddenly, a cane came in between both of them and wacked them both on the head.

“Enough! Get inside.” Cranky Kong rolled his eyes as he got in between the two. Even Deku had to admit he was a little disappointed to not get a round two but this was more important.

5 Minutes Later

“So. Bowser and his army are taking this path and will make it by the next sunrise. Thankfully, I know a shortcut.” Cranky Kong said, pointing at a map on a table. “Okay. So we can ambush him. But how are we going to outrun the ship even with the shortcut?” Peach asked. “I’m glad you asked! Because in order to beat them, we’re going to need karts!”

“Yes! I’ve always wanted to drive one!” Toad said. “Uh but before we go, my best friend is kinda…shirtless thanks to your son.” “Yeah yeah I got something for you. Made it from the same material recovered from the torn off pieces.” Cranky said, tossing a new costume at the boy. He caught it immediately and looked in awe as it looked and felt like an updated version of the sweatshirt his mom gave him. “Cover up and come on.” He said, walking them out of the shed.

Kart Krafting Room

The three were led into a huge garage like building where the Kongs were crafting their own karts. Different sizes, shapes, and even builds. The Kongs were all having a blast as rockets were firing, green shells were bouncing all over the place, and bananas had to be treated as landmines as they were all over the floor. “Well. Go ahead! Pick your karts!” Cranky said as he directed the trio to a set of screens at the end of the room.

“I don’t know if I should drive. I don’t even have my license.” Deku said adjusting and admiring his new suit. “What’s a license?” Toad asked. “Oh. It’s like a little card that says you are allowed to drive a car.” He explained. “Wait, why would you need permission to drive a kar-car?” Peach asked. “Hmm well imagine if everybody traveled from place to place with a car.” Deku said. “Seems like it would get boring but okay.” Toad said. “Oh I see. With so many people driving I guess it’s easier to accidentally drive into a mountain or a lake.” She said.

“Yeah. So you only get the license when you are deemed capable of keeping yourself safe and others as well.” Deku said. Peach chuckled as even now he had a way of turning being a responsible driver with keeping others safe like a hero should. With loving eyes she looked on as he explained more of the details of his world to Toad. She gently ruffled his hair and gave him a soft smile as Deku looked content and happy. He really hadn’t had too much affection before huh? Well, she’d just have to make up for it.

At last, they arrived at the end of the garage and at the screens. They were seperated into 3 seperate segments. Tires, Kart, and Glider. Out of curiosity, Deku tapped on it and the screen spun and it occurred to him that what Cranky Kong said was more literal than he thought. Toad, after seeing his best friend fiddle with the screens, excitedly went to work choosing his best build. Peach followed soon after and well as Deku. A gorilla with goggles got into a machine and starting putting their vehicles together.

With that, their vehicles were ready. Toad was given a large monster truck like kart that he was thriving in. It was blue with red highlights. Peach pulled up in a pink motorcycle with a white flower dubbed the Mach Bike. Finally, Deku was driving a green bike with red lightning bolts and black outlines around them. It was more of a low rider and it was dubbed The Shooting Star. “This is so cool!” He said, revving the engine and trying his best to not launch himself into a wall.

“It suits you! I’m surprised you went with the bike!” Peach said. Deku felt silly about the fact he chose it because a vehicle called the Might-cycle was in one of his favorite movies, All-Might Vs the World. Peach could see right through it though but was just having fun teasing him. “It just, well you gotta run before you can walk!” Deku tried covering up.

“Either way, you definitely look cool on it!” Peach complimented him. “Really? Wow, I have never been called cool before.” Deku said, faking tears. “The style! The flair! He’s unlike any other!” Peach said, as Deku threw in pose after pose on his bike. “Man those guys don’t know what they were talking about.” Toad said. “Let’s continue to prove them wrong!” And with that, the trio took off and drove near the opening of the garage next to the rest of the Kongs and Donkey Kong.

“I hate you.” DK whispered at Deku as he just rolled his eyes. “Alright everyone! To the Mushroom Kingdom for the biggest fight of our lives! Let’s go!” Peach cheered as everyone hooted and hollered as they all drove out of the entrance and onto the main road of the Kong Kingdom where two long and continuous waterfalls were on the right and the left.

Meanwhile

“Peach? No no no. Peaches? Yeah okay that’s the ticket. Peaches. Here we are! I guess love really makes a guy come out of his shell.” Bowser said, bowing before looking off to the side. “Are you sure that will work?” He whispered. “Of course! It’ll be great papa!” Bowser Jr said.

After taking one more deep breath, Bowser took off his white hat, revealing his matted mohawk. “Peaches. Will you marry me?” “Oh yes!” Kame-Princess Peach said as he took his hand and at that moment the rest of his kids came out and piled onto their dad. “Daddy! You did great!” “She’s absolutely going to say yes!” “She’d be insane not to!” Bowser was showered with encouragement and praise from his children as he continued to play with them.

At that moment, Blue Shell burst through the door. “Sir!” “WHAT?!” Bowser, Kamek and the Koopalings all shouted simultaneously. “The hero has defeated Donkey Kong in combat and they have now won the assistance of the Kong army.” Blue stated. “So like… Peaches was really impressed?” Bowser asked nervously. “I’m afraid so sire. They are all saddled up with Karts and are about to cut us off at the River Pass.” He said.

“Oh they think they can stop me huh? Adorable.” Bowser chuckled. “Ready the Koopa army! They won’t know what hit them.” Bowser said, walking off and following his general along with Kamek. “Okay. So the karts are ready?” Larry asked Roy. “Yeah but…I don’t know. It feels odd to go behind dad’s back.” He said. “We can’t just sit back on the sidelines and be burdens. Not again.” Jr said, recalling the humiliation at Deku’s hands.

“We won’t. We will get our mama! This Deku guy has no idea what’s coming!” Wendy said. “Well. Alright then. Ready the Koopa cars!” Roy told Ludwig. “HAHAHA! Let’s go cause some chaos!” Iggy said, a murderous look in his eyes as the Koopalings took off, ready to help their dad anyway they could.

Back on the Track

Deku kept testing the limits of the bike as he tried to get used to steering and balance. However, he couldn’t help but notice something. “Uh. Guys? I don’t want to alarm anyone but…the road is ending!” Deku yelled out as they approached a large ramp like incline that seemed to end abruptly. “Then you better step on the gas and buckle up!” Cranky Kong said as he floored the gas on his motorcycle.

While still skeptical, Deku hit the gas and started going faster and faster. The incline got bigger and bigger. And with that, he was sent flying off the ramp with Peach and Toad not far behind. He was soaring above the clouds and a little frightened of what awaited below. Until a bright glow filled his eyes and a large grin broke out across Deku’s face as gravity connected his bike with an ethereal road that was formed out of a rainbow!

It seems to go on forever and was right over the waters seperating the kingdoms. Due to landing so roughly, Deku had to regain control again as the others followed suit. “Ah ha ha ha ha!” Deku laughed out of sheer joy and excitement at the sight before him. “WAH HOO!” He continued to crank the gas up and let the wind flow through his hair. At that moment, Peach pulled up next to him. “Is there anything like this in your world?”

“What?!” Deku shouted as the distance between them and the wind rushing through their ears muffled her voice. She got closer to him and asked, “Is there anything like this in your world?!” “Oh. Nope! We don’t drive on rainbows! Everything is made of concrete!” Deku responded. “What are you going to tell me next? That the turtles aren’t evil?” She asked. “No actually! A lot of people have them as pets!” “No way!” “Yeah, if you come to my world, I’ll get you a pet turtle God Willing!” “It’s a date!”

Unbeknownst to the couple laughing, a very jealous Bowser was watching on, gritting his teeth and crushing the binoculars he was holding. With a wave of his hands, the Koopa army took off and followed behind them once they got past the pass of rocks that indicated that for a while there would be no land to fall on and only the deep ocean and the creatures that inhabit it.

“Food sounds amazing in your world!” Peach said. “Are you more of a sweet tooth or do you like savory flavors?” Deku asked. “Hmm… I do like sweet but I get overwhelmed very easily and need something salty.” Peach said. “Oh! Well, if you want, I know some snack combinations that I think will suit you!” He said. “Oh that sounds lovely!” Peach said. “Yeah I-“ Deku stopped as he was abruptly cut off by an explosion near him.

The army and him looked back and saw a whole army of Koopas in suped up karts firing Bullet Bills and Green Shells at them. “It’s an ambush! They knew we were coming!” Peach said. “Defensive positions!” Cranky Kong yelled. The army drove into positions to defend the front of the leader and the guests. Canons launched banana peels to trip up the karts and threw off the aim of the commanders. Instead of hitting dead on, the green shells were bouncing all around hitting some of the Kongs but also the Koopas.

However, most of the Koopa Karts in the back were blown up and knocked off the road as a large monsterous kart with large sets of metal teeth clamping down on any kart in its way made its path clear. It was driven by Blue Shell. And he was gunning for Deku. “Oh little Hero! I’m coming for you!” Blue roared as he made his way further and further to the front.

Deku didn’t have many ideas but he knew he needed to keep Blue away from Peach and Toad. And as he looked ahead, he saw that the Rainbow Road branched off into multiple paths. “Split up! Don’t let them surround you!” He shouted as he steered onto another path that was much more narrow and winding.

Deku tried steering away from Blue but his kart was too fast. The jaws were getting closer and closer until the clamped shut on the back of the cycle. Before he could panic, Deku saw yet another path down below and jumped off the cycle as the explosion pushed him closer and closer to the path. “Full Cowling!” He shouted as he landed on the road and took off running at supersonic speeds as he tried to dodge Blue trying to launch pot shots with Bullet Bills from the other path.

He looked ahead and saw a large loop de loop awaiting him. Deku tried to calculate the speed and velocity needed for him to be able to get through but then he through all logic out the window, and shouted, “Full Cowling: 35%!” In a green flash, he zoomed across the loops a large smile breaking out across his face. “HA HA! WOO HOO!” He shouted, only angering the opposition more as his arms went right behind his back and flowed in the wind.

“Mock me why don’t you?” Blue mumbled under his breath as he readied more Bullet Bills until a sensor in his cart warned him by flashing a certain logo. “Oh no.” He thought as the Koopalings’ cars flew past Blue and landed on the road right behind Deku. “Oh Dekuuuuu!” Jr shouted, getting the attention of the young hero. “Oh no, they’re multiplying…” He thought as Roy’s car rammed into his back.

Toad panicked as he rapidly tried dodging the shells and left over bananas. The large monster truck wheels made it even harder to dodge. “How do you steer this thing?!” Toad thought as he looked in he compartments in the kart for any kind of hint. He then found a compartment that made him smile from ear to ear.

Pulling in a lever, oil poured from the back of the kart, sending all the Koopas flying off the side of the road. “Ha ha! Have a good swim!” He said as he hit the gas. On the path up above, Peach was dealing with her own share of Koopas as two bikers chased her. The road started to twist upside down as some anti gravity technology activated in the wheels and they all drove upside down.

The two Koopas brought out hammers out of their shells and stared approaching Peach. “Hammer Brothers.” She thought, groaning as she pulled out a piece of metal from the bike. The Brother coming up on her right swung the hammer at her head. She swiftly dodged it and swung the metal at the turtle’s head as he blocked it with the hammer. The one on her left was ready to hit her until Peach kicked the cycle on the side, making him nearly fly off the side.

Peach then pulled on a brake and ended up spinning and drifting, using the momentum to smack the right Koopa off of the road as he retreated into his shell. Peach grabbed the shell and used it to block an attack from the last brother. As the hammer bounced off the shell, Peach threw it at the Koopa who ducked his head back into the shell. As he was distracted, Peach slammed the piece of metal into the front wheel of the bike and it flipped forward as he fully retreated into his shell.

Toad and Peach locked eyes for a second and a plan was formed immediately. More and more karts were starting to chase Toad. Luckily he found a compartment with a very special item in there. Toad then drifted and let the side of his kart be hit by the rest of the Koopas and Goombas. A pile up was formed as Toad leaped off the road and plummeted down below. The closest Koopa looked over the edge and noticed something in the kart. “ITS A BOB OM-“

KABOOM!

The road shook as the Bob omb caused a chain reaction that lit up the rest of the karts as Peach leaped off the upside down road, activated her glider and caught Toad. “Wa Hoo! Don’t mess with the Mushroom Kingdom!” He cheered. “Great work Toad! I’m so proud of you!” Peach said as the pair landed on the nearest branching path. “Where’s Izuku?” Peach thought out loud until another explosion followed by lightning shook a road next to her. “I’m guessing that’s him.” Toad said.

“Children! What are you doing?! I told you not to engage in battle!” Bowser yelled from the castle. “Papa! We had to! You’ve been working so hard for us and Jr. got hurt trying to help us too! We couldn’t just stand here!” Larry said over the radio. “We got this papa! We’ve got you!” Wendy said as well. In that moment, Bowser couldn’t help but let a tear fall down from his face at how much his children loved him.

“Oh boy we gotta go!” Iggy said, as battle sounds could be heard in the back. “COME HERE YOU LITTLE- *zzzt* “Kids? KIDS?!” Bowser shouted as he looked at the various winding roads, trying to figure out where they were until a large cloud of dust erupted in the distance. “There you are.” Bowser growled.

Meanwhile, Deku was leaping all around the roads as the Koopalings leaped out of their cars, trying to catch him. Roy and Ludwig tackled him in midair, but as Wendy approached, he was smacked away and run over by her Koopa car. Deku was hanging on for dear life as Wendy grabbed his face with her claws.

“You know, you are pretty cute. You come back with me and I’ll convince Papa to let you li-“ Wendy started before Deku head butted her to let her release his grip. With that, he hopped off the Koopa car and continued running on. Iggy and Ludwig shot magic blasts at Deku as he leaped and ducked and avoided as the road started to crack from the impacts. “Your daddy give you those toys?” He said tauntingly as he tried to rile up the bratty kids.

“He gave us everything!” Ludwig roared as he charged up a blast until Deku flung a piece of rubble into his face, letting him destroy Iggy’s kart. Roy once again leaped onto his back and got him in a chokehold while Iggy leapt from the fiery remains of his kart and latched onto Deku, punching him more and more in the face and even clawing at him. “You! Little! Nothing! We are the Koopalings! You are nothing more than a bug to us!”

“Haven’t heard that before.” Deku rolled his eyes as he jumped on his back and let the road scrape Roy’s shell until he let go. For a moment, the three floated in midair as Deku clapped Iggy’s face, discombobulating him. Iggy let go of his face and Deku grabbed Roy by the arm and flipped him over, crushing his brother under his bigger shell.

“You guys! Stop! I’m not going down and I don’t want to hurt you anymore!” Deku shouted back to the last remaining 4 Koopalings. Larry, Morton, Jr, and Lemmy drove towards the hero with rage in their eyes. Morton threw hammer after hammer, Larry shot more magic blasts, Lemmy shot cannon balls from the kart, and Jr sent little robot Koopas to explode on contact.

“How dare you!! We are not going to stop until Peach is ours and you are put in your place! You worthless! Weak! Little Deku!” Jr cried out. With that, Deku let out a breath, shrugged his shoulders, and decided to go to work. Deku dropkicked a canon ball back into Lemmy, which destroyed his kart. He then grabbed a hammer out of the air, drifted on the road and leaped onto Larry’s kart, stabbing it with the sharp end of the hammer.

Morton tried to save Larry by activating the ejector seat and leap onto the back of Deku while Jr activated the boxing gloves on his kart. He went in for a punch, and ended up knocking out Morton and Larry as Izuku leapt out of the way. As soon as the punch was done, Deku grabbed the boxing glove arm, ripped it from its socket, then knocked Jr and his kart away.

“Sorry! Tried to warn you!” Deku said awkwardly as he ran off trying to catch up to Peach and Toad. As he ran off though, Bowser landed on the road, shaking the entire foundation after leaping from his castle. He looked at his kids, made sure they were okay, and then looked at him with a murderous rage. Any kinship he felt towards the boy was flung out the window right now and all he wanted to do was see him die.

“Sir.” Bowser heard someone say. He looked back and saw Blue standing there, dismounted from his kart. And with that, he understood immediately what his general was proposing.

“Hey guys!” Deku said as he caught up to Peach and Toad. “Hey man! Were those toddlers causing you too much trouble?” DK came up and asked the hero. “Mock those kids all you want but if they caused me some trouble and I still beat you what does that say about you?” Deku snarked. This caused DK to pout and for Toad and Peach to laugh. The rest of the Kong army was following behind them. “You. Can’t. ESCAPE ME!”

The trio turned back and looked back to see Blue sitting in Bowser’s hand. “BLUE SHELL!!!” The duo yelled as Blue sprouted wings from his shell, and flew towards the 4 as Bowser threw his general as hard as he could. The shell was flying and flying and started circling around the young hero before…

KABOOM!

A large blue explosion erupted, breaking the road apart as Deku and DK were caught in the explosion. The bridge cracked and cut off the Kong army and left them helpless as they watched their new champion and hero of the kingdom fall to the depths of the ocean. “NO!” Cranky Kong shouted, watching his son fall. “NO!!” Peach cried out, seeing her partner fall. She looked back and saw the Kong army start to be scooped up by more clown karts.

All their efforts were for nothing. The army that was supposed to lead them to victory was captured, their new hero was plummeting, and Bowser was closer and closer to victory. However, out of the corner of her eye, she saw something. Deku was falling in the rubble and both of them saw Donkey Kong trying to slow his descent. Both of them understood immediately what the situation was. Deku could have easily gotten out of there. But DK couldn’t. And without saying a word, they shared a series of looks that said all that needed to be said.

“Don’t go. Please.”
“I have to.”
“I can’t lose anyone else.”
“You won’t lose me. I’ll be back.”
“Please. Please don’t get hurt.”
“I can’t guarantee that.”
“I know.”
“I’ll be back.”
“I know.”

And with a few sad smiles the two continued off. Peach to her kingdom and Deku to save his new ally.

Chapter Text

Deku narrowly ducked and dodged through the rubble of the road as he tried to reach DK. As soon as the two made eye contact, DK started throwing the rubble at the hero. Deku swiftly ducked and dodged while his frustration rose. “Stop throwing things!” He shouted. “This is all your fault!” DK shouted back.

“Me?! You keep stopping me and we’re both gonna di-“ Deku said until a wheel hit him in his head. “Shut it! I don’t want the last thing I hear before I die to be your-“ DK said before he was interrupted by Deku launching into his face, head butting him. As DK was dazed for a bit, Deku wrapped his arm around his torso and starting twisting around.

“Tell her I’ll be okay. And I’ll be back.” Deku said. “OKLAHOMA… SMASHH!” And with that, DK was launched through the air, flying higher and higher and closer and closer to Peach’s bike until he caught the tail end of it. “Donkey Kong?!” Toad shouted. “Where’s Deku?” Peach asked DK as he had a surprised yet grim look on his face.

As Deku focused all of his energy into sending DK onto the bridge, the force sent him flying back into the ocean, letting out a splash that nearly reached the road. He floated down on the water, eyes drooped and lungs filling with water.

He sunk deeper and deeper… until the tingling he felt before in the back of his neck started stinging. Then hurting. It was enough for Deku to open his eyes fully and realize he was underwater. Panicking, he activated Full Cowling and resurfaced in a nanosecond, coughing up and vomiting water and treading the surface.

“I’ve gotta *cough* get back. Okay, so if I find a piece of rubble *cough* I can use it to leap on back. It just needs to be *cough* stable enough. Otherwise I’ll only strand myself more.” Deku said outloud, looking around until he found a piece that he couldn’t quite recognize. “Okay that piece of the kart or the road should be enough to help me-“

Deku’s train of thought was interrupted as he felt a shift in the water and bubbles forming beneath the surface. “Oh no…” He thought. Deku activated Full Cowling once more and tried to swim away only to be swallowed whole by a large eel that popped out of the ocean!

Sunrise

The sun was rising over the Mushroom Kingdom. The Toads were waking up and starting to open their businesses. Saying hi and greeting each other only to see their Princess come barreling by on a motorcycle. “Evacuate the city! Get to the shelters!” Peach shouted at everyone as they all started to pack up and in a rush, head to their designated hiding spots outside of the kingdom.

Peach floored it and made her way to the castle. She drove into the war room and dismounted along with Toad and Donkey along. “Princess! What happened?” Toadsworth asked, looking and noticing that not only was the boy she left with gone but also a somber look was drawn on her face.

“The Kong Army has been captured and-“ Peach stopped herself from choking on her words. “Bowser is coming. I need you all to evacuate. Find any citizen that is still sleeping or going about their day and tell them the same. I will hold Bowser off long enough for you all to get to safety.”

The Toads obviously looked on and hesitated carrying out their evacuation plans. They didn’t want to leave their Princess behind but… “Let’s go! We need to evacuate the city!” Toadsworth shouted, rallying the Toads. “Get everyone to the evacuation zone!” With that the entire room was evacuated and all that was left was Toad and DK. “You need to go too.” Peach told them.

“I said, I wouldn’t let anyone hurt you.” Toad responded, standing his ground. “And I can help you fight the big dude.” DK said. Peach smiled but realized a way he could help. “No. I need you to help protect the Toads and help them evacuate.” She said. “What?! But I can help! I crushed your little hero! I am the strongest of my kingdom!” DK yelled, puffing out his chest.

“I know.” Peach said, grabbing his hands. “And that’s why I’m asking you. Please. Protect my people. Please.” DK looked at her pleading eyes and could see how much she cared for the Toads. “Okay.” DK said, annoyed but resolute in knowing what he had to do.

He turned to find the nearest window and knew to jump out of it to find the evacuating Toads. “Thank you. Truly.” Peach said. DK turned to nod at the Princess then hopped out of the window and swung down to pick up some Toads and carry them on his shoulders towards the evacuation zone.

Toad and Peach looked on and turned towards the main entrance of the kingdom. Peach kicked up a halberd on the floor and Toad whipped out his trusty frying pan. The fortress housing Bowser was getting closer and closer. It stopped right at the footsteps of the kingdom. The front of the fortress released a large bridge and multiple winged Koopas came out and landed, circling Peach and Toad.

And right at the top of the steps, Bowser started walking out and shouted, “Princess Peach! Quite the welcome you have for me.” Bowser walked down as some of his soldiers wheeled out the Power Star. “As you can see I have the Star.” “If you are going to use it, use it now!” Peach said, readying a battle stance as Toad got into position too. This surprised Bowser as he legitimately thought this would have won her over.

“No Princess.” Bowser said, softening his voice. “I got this star for us. I guess, love really makes a guy come out of his shell.” Peach simply looked on confused and bewildered as she started to remember what they learned in the desert.“I told you that line wouldn’t work!” Bowser hissed at Kamek. “You’re doing great!” His second in command said, giving him a thumbs up. “Peaches. Join forces with me and we can use the Star to rule all the kingdoms and galaxies that we want together! Will you marry me?” Bowser asked, holding out his hand.

“Marry you?! Really? That really was what all this has all been about? All the fighting, all the harm, all the prisoners, all the fallen kingdoms were all so you could marry me?!” Peach asked incredulously. She knew he planned to marry her but she didn’t realize that it was just his entire plan. All of this just for a wedding. “Yes?” Bowser said, unsure of what her point was. “I would never marry you.” She said definitely as she pointed the halberd at Bowser, getting the Koopa Troopas to ready their spears.

“Maybe you should reconsider.” Bowser frowned. He truly didn’t want to have to do this but… at that moment Kamek used his magic to capture Toad in a bind as he screamed out in pain. “AGHH!” “NO!” Peach screamed as she tried to reach for him only to get her glove burnt off by the aura surrounding him. “Leave my Toads alone! I’ll marry you just don’t hurt them!” She said. “I give you my word.” Bowser bowed. “No… Princes-AGHHH!” Toad tried to say as Kamek tightened the grip of the bind. Solemnly, Peach nodded her head and Toad was released.

“SHE SAID YES!” Bowser roared and so did his troops as they guided her up the stairs along with Toad. “Prepare the banquet! It’s wedding time!” The Koopa said as Peach followed on, hanging her head in defeat not knowing what to do.

Deku ran through the stomach of the eel, dodging the occasional kart piece and stomach acid. He couldn’t find a way out. The kingdom, Toad, maybe the rest of the galaxies and Peach were all in serious danger. And he couldn’t do a thing.

“Maybe I could smash through the teeth. But there’s no telling how deep we are and if I don’t break through all the rows I risk getting impaled.” Deku thought. “Maybe I could…it has to come up for air at some point. But…it may be too late by then.” Deku went through plan after plan. Thought after thought. But he couldn’t think of anything.

No matter the solution there was always a caveat. A risk to his own life or the eel’s. He wouldn’t allow that to happen. He had nothing.

“They were right. They were all right.” Deku thought as he sat on a piece of the broken kart. He failed. Not only did he fail everyone here, but he failed All-Might. He failed his mom. He failed everyone. There was nothing he could do.

His thoughts started to fill with all he’s been told through his life. “Worthless weak little Deku!” “Why don’t you jump off a roof and hope for a quirk in the next life?” “I don’t see how you could be a hero without a quirk kid.” “I’m sorry Izuku. I’m so so sorry.” It all started to sink in on him. Maybe his mother had a point back then. He wished she would have comforted him but…maybe it just wasn’t meant to be.

All of a sudden, Peach’s voice appeared in Deku’s head. “I’m not leaving your side.” That echoed in his mind. His mind raced to all the memories they made through the weeks. All the little smiles she gave him, all the headpats, all the hugs. And he even thought about all the encouragement Toad gave him. Calling him his best friend, getting angry at his treatment, and even standing up for him when they first met.

He thought about Peach’s kiss on his forehead and her declaration to never leave him. He thought about Toad and all the other citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. All the Kongs that got captured trying to help them. And he thought of Peach. How she always had to do things on her own. Never letting anyone in. Except for him.

He couldn’t give up. Not when so many people helped him. Not when they needed him. Not when they believed in him when no one else did. He couldn’t no he wouldn’t die. He wouldn’t!

With that, he thought back to a “plan” he stormed up earlier. It was a bad plan. It probably wouldn’t work. It probably didn’t even meet the qualifications of a plan. But he didn’t care. He needed to try.

He activated One For All and started bouncing around the insides of the eel, stirring it up. He was leaping up down and around. Kicking, shoulder checking, and punching the insides of the Eel. All while the lightning coursing through his veins started to conduct and shock the insides of the sea creature. Eventually, the eel resurfaced. It coughed, opening its mouth as lightning coursed out of it and Deku leaped with the Lightning, almost as if it were an extension of him as it formed a green hand as Deku’s way of clawing for freedom, and he sucker punched the eel knocking it out as it floated above water.

Deku stood on top of it triumphant, tired and a little weary of all the goo on him. He was also unsure of where to go from there. He didn’t think he’d get this far. “Okay gotta head to the mainland. I think I should be able to get enough momentum off the eel if-“ Deku thought until he saw five more eels rise up and roar in his face as they surrounded their fallen brother.

“I don’t have time for this.” He growled as he charged at the nearest one shouting, lightning fizzling and declared “BRING IT ON!”

.
.
.

A lone Koopa Troopa was patrolling the grassy hills of the Mushroom Kingdom. Holding out his spear and searching for any signs of the Toads while his fellow troops were on a lower level of the hills.

A purple orb appeared next to the Troopa with Kamek speaking through it. “Fall Back Troops! Leave the Toads alone! The wedding is on!” The orb then disappeared and the Koopa smiled as he decided to head out back to the castle.

However, a big hand wrapped itself around its neck and then pulled him into a shrub. It was Donkey Kong! He was holding him by his neck to make sure that he wouldn’t retreat into shell. “What’s going on?!” DK growled in his face as the Toads gathered around him. “Where’s the Princess?!” They all yelled.

“He’s- ack! The Princess and Bowser will be wed before the days end!” The Troopa choked out. “A wedding?” Everyone wondered, bewildered about what Bowser’s plan was. Was it all for this? “Where. Is. My. Family?” DK snarled in his face. “Will be- ACK ritualistically sacrificed for the wedding.” The Koopa coughed out.

DK then picked up the Koopa and slammed him on the hill, cracking and shaking the mountain. “WHERE?!” He roared. As the Koopa was about to pass out, he pointed up at the castle where a system of pulleys and cages were starting to fly near the main part of the Flying Fortress. With that, he let the Koopa go as he gasped for air. And then he was subsequently knocked out by DK stomping on his face.

“Are you guys going to be okay?” DK asked, raring to go and fight but still wanting to make sure the Toads could handle themselves. “We will be okay!” “Go save your family!” “Go save the Princess!” The Toads all cheered as they all gave him a quick hug and encouraged him to go.

And without another word, DK barreled down the hill, towards the main entrance, trying his best to see a way in. However, on the distance, he saw vertical dust clouds spiking up and get closer and closer. There was also the familiar cracking of the green lightning and DK’s disbelief grew more and more as the spec in the distance started becoming more and more clear. It was Deku.

Deku was running, his clothes were soaked, his hoodie was flapping in the wind, his hair was being pressed back by the air force, and the soles of his shoes were being worn down. However, all that went through his mind was his desire to save Peach and the Kingdom. He saw the entrance in the distance, along with an army of Goobas and Koopas. He charged forward and was about to barrel through the army until-

WHAM!

Donkey Kong tackled Deku and pressed him up against a wall. “Calm down! You can’t just rush in there!” DK tried to say as the young boy tried squirming out of his grip. “Let me go! I need to save them!” He yelled. “Do you even know where they are?!” DK roared. At that moment, Deku took a deep breath, calmed himself and was released from DK’s grip. “What even is Bowser’s plan? Why has he stopped?!” Deku asked, his impatience and frustration was growing more and more.

“The big guy wants to marry the Princess right here and now and is going to sacrifice every prisoner he has for the wedding.” DK said, sitting back against the kingdom wall. Deku then started looking around at the forces, the guards, and the distance to get to the top of the fortress. “Got a plan hero?” DK asked. “I just might.” Deku said, analyzing the scene in front of him.

.
.
.

At the top of the fortress, the wedding was on the way. A cake was prepared, guests were sitting in seats, gifts were placed on a table, and the soon to be groom, Bowser, was standing in a white tuxedo, pants and top hat. Meanwhile, Peach was looking on into a mirror, wearing a pink wedding dress and a somber look, thinking of Izuku.

Before she could get lost in her thoughts, she shook her head, needing to trust that he was okay. So she narrowed her brows and then turned to the opening doors behind her where Toad came running in with a bouquet. “Did you find it?” She asked. “Yup! Can’t go to a wedding without your bouquet!” He said, happily handing her the bundle of flowers.

She took the bouquet and flashed him a smile before hesitating as she approached the door. She turned around and gave Toad a warm embrace. “Thank you.” She said, as she patted Toad on the head, leaving him with a big smile. With that, she took a deep breath, and stepped out the doors as that oh so familiar music played with her walking down the aisle.

She stepped next to Bowser, who was adjusting his collar and smiling smugly. Peach tried her best to hold a fake smile until she saw a large approaching stage, holding cages with all the Kongs along with prisoners from all over the Galaxy. A glowing blue star, a large lochness monster who was colored orange, and so many more.

They all stopped right over a pool of lava as the chains started slowly lowering them down. Peach’s fake smile turned into an awkward grimace as Bowser explained, “For our wedding. I’m sacrificing them in your honor.” Kamek then popped into existence in a podium right in the middle of them. He got out a book and took a deep breath.

“Dearly beloved, we are-“ Kamek started before Peach decked him in the face, knocking him out instantly. Bowser looked on confused as Peach tried to shake off the pain from the punch. “Sorry. I could have thought of another way but…eh who am I kidding I just wanted to shut you up.” She said before turning to Bowser. “You really thought I would marry you?”

“Kinda!” Bowser said, looking rather hurt. Peach then took out a blue flower with dotted eyes from the bouquet. “You hurt my partner, attacked my kingdom, and harmed so many across galaxies. I’ll go down fighting before I marry you.” She said, absorbing the flower as her dress turned blue along with her gloves.

Bowser’s sad eyes narrowed with rage as the lines on his throat glowed orange and even shone through the tuxedo he wore. “Then we are breaking up, RIGHT NOW!” Bowser roared as he breathed fire where Peach should have been. She leaped out of the way, back onto the aisle and threw 4 strategic ice blasts. One freezing Bowser’s legs in place, one on his mouth to prevent his fire breath, and two blasts on his arms to weigh him down and keep him from immediately breaking out.

With him incapacitated, Peach threw one large ice blast to fully incase Bowser in ice and tossed one more at the gears behind the lowering cages. She froze them in place, halting the citizens from being burnt alive. Peach took a deep breath and sighed in relief at everyone being okay.

A split second passed before Peach heard the steps of the wedding guests starting to get up. She turned around and saw the army comedically trying to approach her quietly. She took a running leap, charged up an icy punch, and…

.

“Aim!” DK shouted at Deku as he tried to aim an air blast at a cart carrying blocks full of power ups. “DK…for the last time! Let me do this you knocked over a barrel when you tried to aim for me!” He shouted back at the gorilla, pointing to a barrel that had fallen after DK’s failed assistance. “DON’T CALL ME DK!” He roared at him before grabbing his arm.

“Let me go!” “No! You’re going to mess this up! Let me aim!” “You couldn’t hit the back of King K Rool!” “Oh yeah? At least if I land a bit it’ll do damage unlike your twigs for arms!” “These twigs for arms knocked you through a kingdom and they need to save people so let me go!” “I got this you little-“ “You think you are the only brat I’ve had to deal with? Your emotional maturity is on par with a hot blond I know back home!” Both Deku and DK argued as the hero squirmed to get out of his grip, push against his face and even nibble on his arm.

“Ow! You spit in my eye!” “Sorry!” “Why are you apologizing?!” “Why are you asking so many questions?!” “Real mature shrimp!” “Who are you calling shrimp?!” “Your hair looks like rotten broccoli!” “Yours feels like a scratchy beard!” Deku and DK were doing the equivalent of brothers roughhousing at this point. Deku nibbled on DK’s calf while DK noogied his head. Deku slammed a barrel into his face before DK suplexed him.

A large ice explosion could be seen from the top of the fortress as both froze with Deku biting DK’s arm and DK in the motion of punching the young hero. The two looked at the distracted Koopas, the knocked over barrel and then to each other. Deku simply looked at DK, his smile widening. Even DK couldn’t resist the excitement building and showing through his curling lips. “Let’s go!” He said, letting go of the boy.

Deku quickly flicked a gust of air, sending the cart full of power blocks spinning. DK picked up the barrel and threw it, knocking over the troops as Deku hopped on a Goomba, then a Koopa before kicking the shell to knock away more nearby troops. He punched a tumbling item block, catching a red mushroom, and then kicked an item block up in the air where DK punched it as well and clapped on a Fire Flower which made his fur red and his highlights orange.

“Yes! FIRE!” Donkey Kong bellowed out holding a fireball while Deku ate the Mushroom in one gulp, grew a full foot taller and shouted, “HA HA!” As lightning ran through his veins. The two barreled through the troops as Donkey Kong leapt above the crowd and threw a fireball, exploding the crowd as he dove into a pipe and came out on the higher level.

Deku slid underneath a swinging axe from a Koopa, grabbed it and swing it and the troop into the crowd clearing the way for him. He leaped on the blocks to gain higher ground as the Troopas threw spears and hammers at the boy. Deku then leaped on a Piranha Plant, spun on some mushrooms, and slammed the ground near Koopas on the same higher level DK was on. The Koopas retreated into their shells as Deku kicked one of them to knock away more troops.

Both of the two ran alongside each other, barreling through enemies. DK was spinning in the air, throwing fire balls, and ground pounding the floor to toss the off balance enemies at each other. Deku was dropkicking Koopas, surfing on their shells, tossing blocks, firing air blasts, and stomping Goombas.

DK landed right near Deku. “THIS IS FUN!” He yelled smiling from ear to ear. Deku couldn’t help but love seeing his ally’s enthusiasm. However, he saw multiple hammers, spears, and Bullet Bills about to crash into his back. There wasn’t enough time to dodge or incapacitate the attacks. Deku then tackled him, and tossed him forward allowing the attacks to hit him, making a large explosion.

Deku then leaped out of the rubble, one foot shorter and before DK could even consider acknowledging what he did, Deku leapt up and slammed another block to get a new power up. It was…a leaf? Deku still happily accepted it and after a blinding puff of smoke came out of his body he found himself in a brown and fluffy animal costume that resembled a bear. Only with a much larger and striped tail.

Deku was running as he got the power up, confused about its capabilities. “Hey, what does this d-WOAH!” He yelled as the tail started spinning and took Deku through an entire platoon of guards. He was flying! He saw a Koopa on a hovering clown car and spun his tail directly into the vehicle, knocking it over. He was getting the hang of this! And it would make this part of the plan all the more simple! “OH HO HO! THIS IS AMAZING!” He yelled as he started to go after the airborne troops.

This gave DK enough time to climb up the chain anchoring the fortress to the kingdom as the boy took out any troops that would get in his way. Even with the usual stray attack here and there, DK still had his fire flower to help. He had to get up there. He had no idea how everyone was holding up.

Meanwhile, Peach was taking on a mini army of Bowser’s troops as she picked up her dress and dodged multiple spears. She froze a flying Koopa, caught the ice block and used it to shield from multiple attacks. She kicked the ice block into a mini fountain, knocking the water over and freezing the ground to make all the troops slip on the frozen floor.

She caught a spear, smashed off the bladed end and used the pole to smack the oncoming Koopas. She tripped up one, kicked him away, smacked another in the face then hit him in the stomach. As a Hammer Bro tried attacking her, she blocked every single swing of the hammer, using the momentum to rebound the other end of the pole into the soldier.

Peach realized that she could hold off the army if she fought everyone one by one but with the amount of new troopas coming in, she was surely going to become overwhelmed. She saw a sleeping King Bob-Omb and had an idea pop into her head.

Peach did a 360 spin with the pole as she knocked down both Koopas and finally had an opening. She dipped an end of the spear into the lava pit, setting it on fire. Peach then leaped up into the air and then threw the spear, igniting the fuse on the party guest while he was asleep.

At that moment, Peach noticed that the gears were starting to crack more and more until they broke through the ice and started to lower the screaming prisoners. Peach aimed one more ice ball at the gears until-

KABOOM!!

King Bob-Omb exploded, knocking out the guards but also sending Peach sprawled over the steps, her dress turning back to pink while her head continued to spin. She had no way to save the guests. She had to stand up. She had to help in some way! She needed to save them! They were getting closer and closer. The closest to the lava was Cranky Kong. His cage was getting closer and closer. And the lava started to touch the cage. And the heat started to conduct. And-

At that moment, the guests came to a sudden and violent halt before they started to rise from the lava. Cranky looked up and saw Donkey Kong pulling the gears. His face was scrunched up as he used all the strength he had. “HA HA! THAT’S MY BOY!” He shouted. Peach sighed in relief. They were safe. She stood up and turned to see even more guards coming. She was tired and still dazed but had no intention of stopping and laying down for the army to steamroll her. Even with the Koopalings joining in. “Hurt my daddy and you’re going to pay!” Wendy shouted as they all narrowed their teeth. “Huh?” King Bob Omb muttered as he started to wake up from his nap and after being blown up, a few scratches on him. Peach said nothing. She got her firsts up, took a fighting stance, and…

A brown streak with green highlights landed, cracking the floor. He reeled his fist back and while in the motion of punching, his arm spun, creating a tornado like shape around his arm. “Oh! Hiii Deku~” Wendy said. “Wendy! Get down! He’s gonna-“ Roy tried to warn to no avail. “NEBRASKAAAA SMAAAAASH!” He yelled as the tornado formed, scooping up and tossing the turtle soldiers off the platform along with King Bob Omb who still had no idea what was happening.

The boy turned around, revealing his green hair and wide smile. It really was him! “Peach!” “Izuku!” The two ran at each other. Izuku practically leaped into her arms. “You really are okay!” Peach cried, tearing up. “As long as I’m breathing, I’ll always be by your side Peach! I’m never leaving you alone!” Deku said, wrapping his arms around her and picking her up off the ground as she kicked her legs in the air.

They separated for just a second and Deku was almost brought to tears by how full of love and watery Peach’s eyes were. She obviously believed in him. But seeing him alive and by her side brought such a wave of relief to her. She gently caressed his face, and looked him in the eye as Deku was too stunned to say anything else. “You’re okay.” She said as she placed her forehead against his.

“I’m okay. I’m okay. You’re okay too. We’re okay.” He said as they embraced more softly yet still just as lovingly. At that moment, Bowser’s eyes opened in the ice block. She saw his fiancé embracing this nobody. Loving this nobody. It should have been him! His friends started to come in as Toad hugged his leg and DK playfully punched him in the arm.

He had everything Bowser wanted- no. He TOOK everything he wanted. The ice continued to crack and crack as Bowser’s lines lit up and he roared! The fire burst out of his mouth and broke the ice around his head. The group of 4 shielded their eyes as the fire singed their skin. So much damage that Deku’s Tanooki suit vanished. They looked on in fear at Bowser’s glowing eyes and the bloodlust pouring out of every surface of his body.

“LAUNCH THE BOMBER BILL AND DESTROY THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM!” He roared. From the volcano, multiple explosions poured out as a gargantuan Bullet Bill launched out of it and switched its trajectory towards the Toad Square. The explosion would certainly not only wipe out the kingdom but also the evacuation spots. “NO!” Peach cried as she stood there, helpless to stop it.

Without hesitation, Deku activated Full Cowling, jumped off of Bowsers head and landed on the floor far, far, far from the fortress. He ran to the Toad Square as fast as he could as his three friends looked on, worried not only for the fate of their home but the fate of their friend as well.

Deku ran through the streets, ducking and weaving around corners and jumping and leaping over carts and platforms.

He stopped flat in the middle of the Square and looked up to see the Bomber Bill getting closer and closer. He had no plan or confidence in what he was about to do but he couldn’t let this happen. He couldn’t let so many die. He couldn’t let everyone’s home fall. Deku needed to step in. The Bullet got closer. And closer. And closer.

Suddenly the ground shook with such a ferocity, even the crew on the fortress could feel it as the floor in the square cracked. Peach looked away. She couldn’t bear to see her partner get eviscerated along with her kingdom. Seconds turned into a minute as Peach covered her ears for the drum shattering sound of the explosion. However, no explosion was heard. Not even an orange tinge in the sky. DK gently tapped her shoulder, making her open her eyes.

She looked at the monkey and saw him with a look of shock but strange respect littered on his face. Then she saw the source. Green Lightning was lighting up the buildings and wrapping around the hills. The Bomber Bill hadn’t made contact with the floor yet. It was just hovering above the ground as the pavement started floating and cracking from the sheer force. Her kingdom wasn’t done. All thanks to-

“Deku.”

“GRAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” Deku roared as he alone was holding the Bomber Bill in place from destroying everything. Even as the Bomber Bill increased the force he flew with, cracking the floor more and more, Deku wasn’t budging. He’d hold everything in place for the rest of his life if he could. But he knew he couldn’t. It would only be a matter of time before he passed out.

He tried his best to come up with a plan but everytime he focused his attention away from the Bill, he only stumbled more and more as he had to use one knee on the floor to keep himself from collapsing, his muscles were tearing and he could hear it. Like the ripping of paper. Even his suit started to tear from how much his muscles were bulging out of his body. His head was spinning and get as if it was going to explode from the inside. It felt like his joints were cracking and coming apart at the seams. His mouth tasted of metal from how hard he gritted his teeth. His face was redder than it had ever been and he could barely breathe as the weight of the Bullet Bill got heavier and heavier.

He spat blood on the ground and felt his shoes’ soles start to disintegrate from how hard the boy was pressing his feet into the ground. His feet made contact with the hard and boiling concrete as Deku felt his consciousness fading.

He needed to do something quick.

He then quickly remembered the pipe he came in from. How far away it was from the kingdom and the evacuation zone. How he could barely get through the pipe without his backpack getting pulled out of the warp zone. How much bigger the Bomber Bill was and how easier it would be to just get sucked out of the warp zone. It was a long shot, but it was the only one he had.

Deku clenched his teeth, grounded his feet, and pushed up with every single fiber of strength in his body. His body was screaming and shouting about how much pain he was in. It just so happened that Deku’s screams were louder.

“AGHHHHHHHH! GO! NGH!! BEYOND!” Deku roared as he stood back up, pushing the Bomber Bill up further from the ground. “PLUS!!!” Deku tossed the Bomber Bill up in the air, just enough to be above the Toad’s houses. Deku then leaped up into the air, cracking the rest of the ground, wearing his feet down more, and grabbed the underside of the Bullet and tossed it with as much force as he could towards the pipe with its fire trail burning the cable anchoring the fortress. “ULTRAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!”

With that, Deku’s body gave out and he fell to the floor, watching the Bomber Bill hit the pipe and after a few agonizing seconds of uncertainty, finally vanish. Even now, he couldn’t breathe easy. The pipe in the distance glowed before releasing a huge shockwave that sent Deku flying back. And even then! The shockwave reversed, seeming to suck everything not nailed down in. The 3 on the fortress could barely hold on from being sucked into the portal.

Meanwhile, Deku had no hold to grab onto and found him self getting closer and closer until his feet were lifted off the ground.

“AHHHHHH!” Deku shouted as he got closer and closer to the Warp Pipe and-

Notes:

Hope you all enjoyed! Wow! It’s so cool how we are so close to the end of the story! This chapter was a lot of fun to write. The action, the banter, particularly the scene with DK and Deku before the action started was very fun. Also for reference, the scene with the Bullet Bill at the end was inspired by Dragon Ball Super Hero and Gamma 2’s sacrifice. Have a great day, stay safe, and God Bless You All!🙏🏽

Chapter Text

Present Day

Deku charged for the Power Star until Bowser leaped from his castle and slammed right in between the boy and the star. His slam launched the hero up into the air, and Bowser reeled his fist back and slammed it into his chest. The air was knocked right out of Deku as he was launched down the street, pushing and smashing past cars and right into a building, shaking it at the foundation.

All-Might ran up towards the turtle, his usual smile now an anger-filled scowl as he reared back his fist and with a blood curdling cry slammed Bowser in the face, sending shockwaves across the city. “DETROIIIIT SMASH!!!”

As the dust cleared, Bowser stood there, All-Might’s fist placed directly in his cheek. Bowser spat out a bit of blood, smiled evilly, and grabbed his forearm. As much as All-Might tried, he could not budge from his grip. “Not bad.” Bowser snarled. “My turn.” With a right hook directly into All-Might’s wound, the man found himself launched into a building, gasping for air.

Toshinori had spent hours as All-Might so his form was running on empty. He was struggling to keep his power up.

He couldn’t take this sitting down though. He needed to protect the city. He needed to protect his protégé. “TEXASSSSS SMASSH!” He cried out as he leaped from the crater in the building down towards the Koop and threw another mighty punch. This time, however, Bowser was ready. He turned his back to All-Might, letting his shell absorb the damage and sending it all back into All-Might as all the bones in his arm cracked and shattered from the force.

“NGHH!” All-Might groaned as he held his arm. At that moment, Bowser grabbed his neck, squeezing ferociously and breathing fire on the hero’s other arm. With both of his arms incapacitated, Bowser took the time to play with his food. “So you are the supposed Symbol of Peace huh? Gotta say. I’m very disappointed.” He mocked.

All-Might spat blood into Bowser’s eye. “Charming.” He said. “Enjoy…this while you can…villain.” The Symbol of Peace choked out. “Ah a tough one I see.” Bowser said, almost impressed. “Let’s see how you handle this then.” Bowser took his claws and stuck it into All-Might’s injury, which he was familiar with due to Deku’s notebook. All Might gritted his teeth and grunted from feeling the coldness around his wound. Blood started to seep out and steam came from All-Might’s body as he tried his best to remain in his hero form.

“I have conquered galaxies! When I’m done with you, that’ll be one less planet in my way! You think you all can stop me?!” Bowser roared in his face. All-Might didn’t say anything. He did the only thing he could do. He smiled. This set Bowser off but, he actually gained some respect for All-Might in this moment. This was mixed with the absolute rage he felt at how much he reminded him of Deku. “Fair enough. Goodbye. All-Might.” Bowser chuckled, venom biting though his tone, as he charged up his fire breath.

CLANG!

A manhole cover slammed into Bowser’s head, interrupting his blast. “LET HIM GO!” Deku roared, a couple of bruises and scratches on him. “No…Young Midoryia.” All-Might whispered as Bowser tossed him to the ground as his arms and legs scraped on the rubble.

“HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO KILL YOU?!” Bowser roared back. “YOU JUST DON’T KNOW WHEN TO QUIT!” “AND YOU DON’T KNOW THE MEANING OF THE WORD NO!” Deku said. “YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT! PEACHES WILL LOVE ME!” Bowser yelled. “…did I hit you too hard with the manhole cover?” Deku asked.

“OH YOU THINK YOU’RE CLEVER HUH?!” Bowser roared. “YOU THINK ANY OF THIS WILL GO ANYWHERE?! WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE, YOUR ARMY WILL FALL AND YOU’LL BE ON YOUR OWN!” Deku said. This, while unintentional, set Bowser off as it all called back to his ultimate fear of being alone forever.

He’d spent most of his life alone and he feared having the same thing happen to his kids. He wanted something to help them. And this kid…this worthless…weak little kid was getting in the way of everything.

“SHUT UP!!” Bowser roared. “NO! THIS IS MY HOME! THESE ARE MY FRIENDS! YOU’VE HURT TOO MANY PEOPLE AND AS LONG AS I’M STILL BREATHING I WILL NOT LET YOU HURT ANYONE ELSE! And if you hurt the people I love…” Deku said, “there will be no place, no planet, no Galaxy where I won’t find you.” The aura emanating from Deku was enough to freeze Bowser in his tracks and shake him to the core. Bowser was legitimately shaken and halted by the kid’s resolve. He no longer saw Deku as a whiny kid. He saw him as a legitimate warrior. And this angered him even more. Even as he grew a begrudging respect for the lad.

“Heh heh. Then. Let’s dance…hero.” Bowser snarled as the two rushed at each other. Both pulled their arms back and clenched their hands as they leaped towards each other. Their fists looked like they were going to clash but Deku feigned his punch and slammed his blows into Bowser’s knees in a one-two fashion, then uppercutted Bowser.

This did nothing more than annoy the monarch however. He spun around, whipping his tail into Deku as he was sent flying into yet another car. The air was once again knocked out of him but he couldn’t take a second to breathe as Bowser yelled, “YOU RUINED MY WEDDING!” The turtle had leaped up into the air to slam down on the hero with his backside.

Deku rolled out of the way, but was caught off guard as Bowser grabbed the car and wacked him away as if he were a baseball. “I WAS FINALLY GONNA BE HAPPY!” Deku landed, creating a large and deep divot in the ground as he scraped on the street. “NOW YOU WILL SUFFER! LIKE ME!” He roared once more as he threw the car at Deku.

Deku caught the car, and placed it down quickly and gently. Another tingly sensation filled his head as he looked up and saw Bowser aiming a hammer fist down at his skull. With the swiftness and the grace of a trained boxer and dancer, Deku dodged the blow, aimed and threw a left hook into his side.

With his free arm, Bowser threw a wild haymaker at the boy. He swiftly ducked underneath the large arm, threw another right hook into his side, and then uppercutted his stomach. Undeterred, Bowser then tried to kick Deku as he jumped over the monarch’s leg, spun in the air like a bailarina, then shouted, “ST. LOUIS SMASH!!!” As his leg connected with the top of Bowser’s head, the ground shook and Bowser found himself dazed for a brief moment.

Bowser then swung his foot at Deku again, only for the boy to jump over and push himself off of the leg to gain airtime. He spun around in the air and axe kicked the turtle right in between his horns while shouting, “MANCHESTERRRR SMMMAAASH!” This sent cracks through the city and knocked Bowser to brace himself on his knee.

As Deku was falling to the ground, he saw the lines lighting on his stomach, an indication of the fire breath to come. He was falling to the ground upside down and whipped his arm back. “DELAWAREEEE SMASSH!” Deku roared. As the blow connected with Bowser’s throat, the Air Force threw Deku back just as the fire breath blew up in Bowser’s mouth.

The explosion sent Deku flying back, rolling onto his shoulder. He took a moment to breathe and try to ignore the burning smell and sensation in his lungs. That was until he heard a low growl that snowballed into a ferocious roar

Bowser emerged from the smoke cloud and leaped towards the young hero. Deku tried to jump out of the way but Bowser used his jaws to clamp down on Deku’s foot while he was in midair. The tyrant swung his head around, and proceeded to slam the hero on the floor, on his back, on his face, over and over again. The boy cried out in pain as every impact sent shockwaves all through the city and radiated sharp spikes in pain throughout his body.

While being swung, Deku used his free foot to press on the outside of Bowser’s head and as soon as he hit the ground, the boy used his legs to spin Bowser in the air. The monarch turned into a yellow blur before landing on his stomach a few feet away from the boy. Deku didn’t even have a moment to breathe as Bowser then tackled him onto the floor and as he had nowhere to go, he was free for the turtle to go to town on him.

Right hook, left hook. Uppercut, hammer fist. Jab, elbow. Deku was helpless as Bowser let out every single piece of pent up rage in his body on the boy. Blood flew from his mouth, his chest caved in, bones in his face and chest cracked, and blood vessels burst in his right eye which left it colored red.

When Deku thought that Bowser was letting up, the monarch was actually raising his foot and stomping down on his stomach. A blood curdling cry escaped from Deku’s mouth. Almost like an animal letting out it’s final cries in it’s death throes. Again. And again. And again. Until they created a small crater in the middle of the street. The air was knocked out of him as he was certain his internal organs were being ruptured. Deku was motionless until Bowser grabbed him by the throat and picked him up.

Deku choked as he fought against Bowser’s grip to no avail. When he failed, he tried to grab at Bowser, every last bit of energy left in his body determined to stop the mad tyrant. While doing so, he heard a strange rotary noise. He looked up as that was where the sound and coming from. He then saw that there were news helicopters watching the fight.

“Hmph, at least your death will be immortalized as my first conquest in this world.” Bowser snarled as he whipped his claws out and looked at his opponents stomach. Before the Koopa King could impale the hero, Peach came from his right. She aimed a spinning kick into his face. This discombobulated Bowser as DK shoulder slammed into him, knocking the monarch over.

Toad also then dropped in with a hijacked Clown Car and launched a canon ball into the turtle, knocking him further away. “Izuku! Are you okay?” Peach asked, kneeling down to the poor boy and using a brief hit of her Heart Power to give him some energy and keep him on his feet. “Yeah.” Deku said, spitting out some blood. “I’m still good.” The group of 4 then stood up and saw the monarch with bloodlust in his eyes as he inhaled and was about to let out a large, scorching blast.

The four dodged the blast as it melted the two cars in front of him. Deku then uppercutted Bowser, cutting off his flame. The hero then launched a right hook into Bower’s chin as Peach launched fire balls into his face, sporting the fire flower. Bowser swatted the hero away and used his arm to block the blasts as he felt a large fist impact his cheek. DK landed on the floor, feeling good about his hit.

DK tried to clap Bowser’s head only for the monarch to deflect his hands, headbutt him, then dropkick him away. Toad kept to the sidelines as he launched robotic Koopas at the turtle who stomped them and even crushed one in between his teeth.

Noticing a flash on the horizon, Bowser dodged an attack from Deku. The boy stood back up, regaining his balance and tried to land one more punch on the man but Bowser blocked his attacks and kept trying to swat at him as if he were a fly. Meanwhile, Peach jumped on the back of Bowser’s neck and placed her flaming hands on his face.

In a blind fury, Bowser leaped back into a building, crushing Peach against it and embedding her in the wall, losing the power up. “PEACH!” Deku roared, charging up with energy and rage until he heard a cry from Toad. “GUYS! WE GOT COMPANY!” He turned and saw the Koopa army along with the Koopalings emerging from the castle.

They had to finish this quickly. Deku ripped a sign out of the ground and DK grabbed a car as both tried to slam them into Bowser as he blocked and slashed through the sign and car respectively. The turtle kicked the gorilla in the stomach, embedding him into the ground as he picked up Deku by the throat, leapt up into the air and choke slammed him into the floor.

Toad then unleashed a flurry of Bullet Bills that annoyed Bowser as he let go of Izuku to shield himself. The hero rolled to the side and saw as the turtle let out another stream of flame that his friend tried to avoid.

Deku grabbed the monarch’s tail and pulled to throw off the villian’s aim. Bowser whipped his tail and tossed the boy to the side as the young one grabbed some broken telephone wires. He whipped them to wrap around one of Bowser’s arms. Getting more and more annoyed by the second, the Koopa yanked on the wire, pulling Izuku off his feet as the large turtle clotheslined him.

Peach tossed down pieces of rubble at Bowser from building and leaped down from the broken floor. She sucker punched him in the face, her fist full of her Heart Power, and immediately threw a cross guard over her face as Bowser wildly swung his fist into the Princess’ arms, sending her flying away.

Toad then wrapped the gloves around Bowser and had him in a hold for a few seconds until the mad tyrant broke the mechanical arms and then stomped on the car as Toad launched more and more cannon balls at him.

DK then popped out from the ground and tripped up Bowser, holding his legs as Toad used the clown car to hold down and bite Bowsers arm and Deku held the other as Peach leaped and continued to lay into Bowser, launching Heart Powered punches, kicks, and blasts into the incapacitated Koopa, trying to knock him out before the army arrived.

Their efforts were in vain as spears and hammers started to rain down, distracting the group as Bowser managed to slip out of DK’s grip, stomp into his chest and use his tail to grab him, then launch him into Toad and the clown car. He then launched a punch at Peach which she blocked but was still sent back by the force. Her arms were stinging and he head was spinning but she had to continue to step back as more and more projectiles were launched.

Bowser then grabbed Deku by the waist with one arm and tossed him into a building. He bounced off the building and landed on the floor. He stood up and saw the army approaching with the rest of the group trying to hold off the army.

Deku’s mind spiraled. Bowser on his own was hard enough to handle but with the army here, there was no way they could- “OVER HERE DEKU!” Bowser roared as he suddenly rushed over and jabbed Deku in the stomach so hard he could feel that the turtle’s fist almost go straight through him.

Bowser then grabbed Deku by the neck once more, whipped out his claws and…

SLASH!

His claws came out of the other end of Deku’s back. Deku felt nothing but a sharp and cold pain coming from his stomach. He saw the bloodlust in Bowser’s eyes and noticed from his perspective just how far his claw had gone through him. The hero’s vision faded, the light in his eyes dimmed, his breathing stopped. And he was tossed aside into a building as it collapsed on him.

“IZUKUUU!!!!” Peach yelled, tears in her eyes as she charged up a Heart shaped blast that completely engulfed Bowser and even pushed him back. “YOU MONSTER!!!” She roared as she let up on the projectile and sent energy covered punches all across Bowser’s body, faster than he could track them.

“PRINCESS!” Toad cried out as he and an injured DK tried to hold off the army. DK threw barrels, Toad set up traps for the troops with the Koopa car. But they just kept coming.

Bowser, his rage unable to be contained, whipped his tail into Peach’s side and she was sent flying down the steeet. She coughed, the wind knocked out of her. The air hurt to breathe. She couldn’t exhale or inhale. It was over. She looked and saw Bowser standing over DK and Toad. No love was in his eyes. No joy. Just pure bloodlust.

She laid on the ground, inhaling the dust and rolling on the rubble. Every step taken by Bowser as he approached her shook the ground. It was over. All her efforts. All the strife. All the pain. All for nothing. Her partner was wounded fatally and the armies were laid waste to. Her kingdom would fall and there would be no one left to stop the madman.

But… she saw something. Something caught her eye in the distance. A glimmer of something that sparked a fire in her. She looked at DK and Toad. She realized, she couldn’t just stop. She couldn’t just roll over and let him win.

She would fight to the bitter end. She would not back down. She wouldn’t let all of their efforts go to waste. She wouldn’t go down in vain. She wouldn’t do this alone. She wasn’t anymore.

She held her side. She stood up, staggering a bit but using her knee to help her upright. Peach remembered Deku’s determination. She remembered how hard he fought. How much he had given up. And Peach finally got to her feet. Her balance was unsteady, blood fell from her head, leaving a streak on her face. Her dress was torn, her face covered in soot, her hair matted and and her gloves dangling from her arms.

She did not let any of this stop her. She adjusted her shoes, tore off her gloves and looked in at Bowser. With her eyes narrowed and her teeth clenched, Peach spat out some blood and raised her hands and arms in a combat position.

Bowser grinded his teeth. This wasn’t how he wanted this to go. He wanted a wife. A mother for his kids. He wanted someone. Anyone. And now, the one person he thought could fill that hole in his heart was standing bloodied and tired, ready to fight.

He shook his head, regretting so much about how things got to this point. So many mistakes. So many wrong choices. But he couldn’t take it back. He could feel his kids staring at him, egging him on to finish what he started.

“Fine then.” Bowser said, sharpening his claws and shaking Izuku’s blood off of them. Peach roared as she threw her head back and a burst of pink energy emerged from her and covered the army, pushing them back quite a bit. Bowser smiled, impressed at the fact that he actually had to brace himself. But it was time to end this. The show of power had drained her. He launched himself at Peach, letting out a primal and beastly roar, extended his claws, pulled back his arm and swung it forward, aiming a slash that was aimed right for her face. The claws getting closer and closer to her eyes and as soon as the claws grazed the peach fuzz on her cheek…

WHAM!!

A green blur whizzed onto the scene showing Deku, beaten, eyes bloodshot, and leaking blood from his stab wounds but alive! He shoulder checked Bowser’s arm, deflecting it away from Peach and followed it up with a roar and a ferocious right hook as he cried out, “PLUS ULTRAAAA!” The blow sent Bowser into the side of the building as he looked on shocked as Peach just smiled at him.

“Are you okay Peach?” Deku asked frantically. Even in this dire situation, Peach couldn’t help but chuckle as even in his disheveled and beaten state he put her above him. She hugged him, blood getting on her dress but she didn’t care. She said all she needed to with that embrace.

“HOW IS HE STILL ALIVE?!” Bowser screamed internally. “Wait… did the Princess use that burst of power to bring some energy to Deku?” The army then charged at the two as Bowser held his hand up, halting the army. “THEY ARE MINE!” He bellowed as he leaped off the building and slashed at them. Peach and Deku met his blow and a large explosion ringed through the city as they all clashed.

Their clashes took them all over the battlefield, moving as blurs to the crowd and helicopters. Until they stopped in the center of the city, roaring and letting out blood curdling screams as they came to blows. Peach’s hands became bloody due to her punches and so were Deku’s as they had to frantically keep pace with the Galaxy conquering turtle.

For a minute or so they were holding their own. For every attack Deku didn’t see coming, Peach blocked, deflected, and countered, and vice versa. They all screamed as the city felt the weight of their clashes.

Anytime they came to blows, shockwaves ran through the city and even started to push back the army and the Koopalings! “GO PAPA/DAD!” The kids shouted as buildings had their windows shatter, the ground shook and all of them were so swept up in the middle of the battle that the world may as well have vanished.

Unbeknownst to Bowser however, Peach had a plan. Toad watched as the Koopa army stared in awe at the titanic battle in front of them, struggled away from his captors and used the nearby Koopa Car to launch a cannon ball directly into the Power Star, knocking it past the combatants.

Deku and Peach saw this, and flung their bloodied hands into Bowser’s face, splashing blood into his eyes, blinding him. The two then linked hands and ran toward the direction the Star was going to land. “DON’T YOU DARE RUN FROM ME!” Bowser roared as he wiped the blood from his eyes. The lines in his stomach charged up and he let loose a large stream of flames. The concrete started to melt and the skin on the couple’s skin started to heat up as it started to catch up to them.

The trajectory was carrying the Star closer and closer to Peach and Deku. But the fire was getting closer and closer. The fire was dancing on the bottom of their feet as they dove to the position the Star was going to land. They flew through the air, blood falling from their hands, the Star was getting closer and closer, the fire was about to reach their ankles, and…

WHOOSH!!

The fire overtook them as no one could see anything else in the flames as a large blast of smoke erupted in the air. “NO!” Toad yelled, tearing up at the idea of Peach and Deku perishing.

At this point, Bowser should have been laughing maniacally, but he couldn’t. He came down from his rage. He got rid of Deku. But also at the cost of Peach. His kids had no more opportunity for a mother. And someone his kids’ age had died by his hands. All of his efforts for nothing and his army and children had to watch as all of his plans and efforts just ended in absolute failure.

However, Bowser had no time to ponder his actions as the dust started to clear away. A multicolored glow seemed to be pushing through until Peach and Deku were revealed, getting up from the floor and standing tall! Their wounds completely healed and a rainbow aura surrounding their bodies along with pink and green lightning pouring from their bodies!

Bowser looked on in shock, then his anger took over as he raised his foot back and tried to kick the pair back. However the ground shook and shockwaves went back from the pair as they remained undeterred. Bowser stood there shocked, amazed at the power they were now wielding.

Peach and Deku looked at each other, smiled then slammed their fists into Bowser’s chin, sending the turtle flying all the way back to his army as they parted to make room for him. In moments, Bowser stood back up and commanded his army, “RIP THEM TO PIECES!!”

The army charged at the couple as the two looked at each other once more. “You have One for All.” Deku looked on in awe. “I do?” Peach asked joyously as she gripped her hands and more Lightning soared out of them. She laughed in excitement and they both jumped around excitedly. They looked on at the army coming and smirked as their confidence beamed at their newfound powers.

Peach winked at Deku as he took her hand. They separated, clapped each others hands in multiple low fives and went barreling towards the army. Deku ran straight to a Hammer Brother and then slammed through a hammer swing. He circled around the Koopa, grabbed his arm and then launched him into the army, knocking them over like bowling pins.

Peach ran on a wall, and charged her fist back, eagerly saying the words she had been wanting to say for the past weeks. “SMAAASHH!” She slammed the ground, knocking the army into the air as she then leaped back up and sent them back down by activating a concussive pink blast she called, “HEART ATTACK!!!”

She landed back on the floor, saw Deku approaching and smiled ear to ear as she ran alongside her partner. They ran headfirst into what remained of the army and the Koopalings and charged through them, sending them either crashing into the walls on the side or flying into the air.

The kingdom launched more Bullet Bills to not only harm the pair but damage the city. Deku launched Peach onto the very top as he worked his way to the bottom. It was almost exactly like the obstacle course! They leaped, bounced, spun, twirled and danced all across the Bullets as they fell harmlessly to the ground.

They launched into the air, soaring in a pose very reminiscent to a punch into the sky, happy and confident at their chances of winning and having fun! Peach noticed a large Piranha Plant about to chomp down on them so she turned in midair, and punched the plant. This created an air blast that carried her and Deku faster and faster towards Bowser.

Bowser threw a car at the which Deku charged right through, breaking it in half, as Peach grabbed them and slammed the halves onto Bowser’s head. Deku climbed up Bowser’s back and grabbed him by the horns, flipping him into the ground and into the air.

Peach took the opportunity to drop kick the monarch in the stomach, sending him into a building. He leaped back and slammed his fists onto her as Peach blocked the attack and Deku hopped and bounced off his head. This allowed Peach to double spin kick Bowser in the face, leaving him dazed. As he regained his bearings, Deku and Peach turned into green and pink streaks and started unleashing multiple blows on the man, leaping and bouncing off of the walls of the buildings around them for momentum. He rose to the air form the force before the couple kicked him to the ground.

Deku and Peach then grabbed onto Bowser’s tail, spun him around and around, and then threw him straight into the sky. The couple leaped up to meet him in midair, raised their fists and slammed him back into the ground, cracking the castle!

Deku and Peach then spun, aiming yet another drop kick into Bowser as he breathed one last fiery attempt to overtake the couple. Deku and Peach soared through the fire, stomped on Bowser’s head, and…

KABOOM!!

The castle erupted and fell as a rainbow colored explosion surrounded the city.

The dust started blowing away. The ground ceased quaking. And what stood now was an unconscious Bowser as Toad and DK walked up to the monarch. They found a little something to help them keep Bowser docile. DK stuck a blue mushroom into Bowser’s mouth and he shrunk immediately. Small enough for Toad to pick him up and stick him in an extra jar he had on hand.

Once the tyrant was incapacitated, the four fell to the floor, breathing heavily and exhausted. “It’s over. It’s over.” Peach breathed out heavily. Deku reached out and held her hand. She squeezed it and he squeezed back. They were all finally done with this. “We did it.” Deku breathed out. The villains were defeated. The city was safe. And for the first time in years, Peach allowed herself to fully relax.

1 Hour Later

.
.
.

Deku was wrapped up in a warm blanket and sat right next to Peach, who was wrapped up in something similar. They would have felt bad for DK and Toad being swarmed by kids, but they seemed like they were having a lot of fun.

“Hello Princess Peach.” All-Might said, coming out and bowing in front of royalty. “I want to thank you once again for taking care of my student.” “Oh no, thanks is needed sir. We are partners. I am more than happy to look after him.” Peach said, sliding closer to the boy, causing him to blush. Although not as much as he would have 2 weeks ago.

In the distance, the police, reporters, and paparazzi showed up, eager to talk with the new heroes. “I’m going to take care of this.” All Might reassured them. “You two rest up.” He walked off leaving the two of them alone.

“So…we did it huh?” Deku asked. “We did.” Peach said, smiling. “What do we do now?” He asked. “I’m not sure. I…I’m not sure.” Peach said, smiling. Ecstatic to no longer have every waking moment of her life be worrying about defeating Bowser. “Well…other than a few villains here that I need to take care of…I may be more comfortable…exploring other places.” Deku said, implying his willingness to move to the Mushroom Kingdom.

“Oh really? Then if it’s only a few villains here, then who would I be to just let you handle things on your own?” Peach asked. “In the meantime, I’d love to show you around here! The food, the sights, everything!” Deku said, smiling from ear to ear. He continued to ramble on and on, talking about her meeting his mother, about him moving to the Mushroom Kingdom, becoming its hero, and so many many more plans and ideas for the future.

Peach just looked on lovingly at the boy. He was impaled, beaten, nearly killed and here he was still wanting to stay by her side and made plans to guard the Mushroom Kingdom with her, unaware of how it may have sounded. “I love you.”

Silence grew between the two as Deku’s head glowed beet red and Peach continued to look on lovingly. Deku turned to look at her. The pure and unquestionable love in her eyes made him want to melt right then and there. He couldn’t stop his eyes from watering. His smile grew so wide his cheeks started to hurt.

In a moment of pure courage, Deku took her face into his hand as she gasped and melted into his touch as if riding the high of joy it gave her. “I love you too.” He said back, no signs of stuttering or hesitation.

The world seemed to melt away. Deku and Peach smiled and leaned forward as she placed a hand on his shoulder. Their lips were so close to touching. Deku looked at her expression, seeing the confirmation of her love ring out, towards her pink and plush lips, and towards her eyes. Peach looked at his nervous yet longing look, his trembling but soft looking lips, and towards his eyes. Both were filled with so much love.

The space between their lips disappeared.

The sensation was indescribable. Peach’s lips were so soft and so sweet. Deku’s were so sincere and so gentle. Deku gently gripped the back of her head, making her feel more secure. Peach wrapped her arms around his neck and brought him in closer, deepening the kiss.

Their lips were so tingly. Both felt the breath of each other’s nose tickle them. Deku brought his free hand to the small of her back. Their kiss deepened. Deku was light headed and his lips almost tickled at the feeling. His heart soared. All of the weight was taken off of their chests as they got closer and closer, hugging each other. Peach smiled through the kiss, unable to contain her joy.

She smiled so hard it felt impossible. She loved him. She loved this boy. She was home. He felt like home. She was home. Peach felt lighter than air. No thoughts raced through their minds. All of their love was just on display and felt through the kisses. They loved each other. Deku’s hand should have felt rough and calloused but all Peach could focus on was the sincerity and care he put into caressing her face.

Peach held onto Deku with a near ferocious grip that bled out feelings of protection. They both tilted their heads and deepened the kiss further as their noses rubbed each other. They separated as an intimate sound rang out as their kiss came to an end. Both were breathing heavily. Smiling from ear to ear. Their hearts soaring. Their chest filled with a pleasant weight that seemed to ground them to each other rather than feel crushed by the weight of the world.

Deku pulled Peach in for another hug, and Peach returned it. Both were crying tears of joy as this may as well have been a marriage proposal. A pledge to stay by each others side forever, through thick and thin, good or bad and continue to love each other. DK, Toad and All-Might looked on, their joy infectious. They had found peace. For the first time in a while, both were truly so so happy.

The End.

Notes:

Hey y’all! Don’t worry there is still a shorter epilogue coming next week. Thank you so much for sticking with me and for reading along. Also by the way, if any one is confused, since Deku and Peach’s hands were open and bleeding, that is why One For All is transferred to Peach as well. With the Super Star as well helping to keep the transfer permanent as well as still having Deku still have One for All as well.

Chapter Text

5 Years Later

“All right. You guys got him?” Deku asked the pro heroes on the scene. “Yeah. Thank you so much for coming Deku.” The pro hero Uravity said. “We know you had plans of your own, so we really do appreciate you taking time to help us.” Pro Hero Cellophane said, tying up a Kaiju sized villain.

“No problem guys. I’m happy to help.” Deku said, backing away. “Now are you sure that you guys won’t need anymore help?” “Honestly, no. I think the big guy is down for the count. Only reason we can think of for you to stay is for a drink.” Pinky said. “You guys know I don’t drink.” Deku shrugged.

“Even the lemonade which really bummed me out.” Lemillion said with a grin betraying his words. “Aw come on Lem, you know those aren’t very good.” Deku said. “I know, I just thought they may be more your style since you do like sweets.” The blond haired man said. “Well, I do appreciate that. Thank you.” Deku said as he and the pro fist bumped.

“So are you sure you can’t stay for a drink?” Lemillion asked.

“Not even for a patented aspartame filled soda?” Earphone Jack asked. For a moment, they saw Deku hesitate, his pupils dialating until he snapped out of his trace by slapping himself. “Ooo!” Pinky winced as did the rest of the heroes. “Yeah. Not my best move.” Deku admitted.

“You guys are great. Really. But I need to get back to her.” Deku said. “Of course! Did you talk to your mother?” Uravity asked. “Oh yeah! I had to hide my ring since she was near passing out without seeing it.” Deku admitted. “Well get going then! And don’t worry! We will look after her while you are gone.” Cellophane said.

“Thank you so much guys! Stay safe! And congrats Uravity and Jack for the 2 years!” Deku said before leaping off into the sky. “And tell Eri I said hi!” “Don’t worry! We will! She loves my Peach trick!” Lemillion called out as Deku chuckled remembering how hard she laughed when he did that.

He hopped from building to building until he landed at an oh so familiar and rebuilt alleyway. He was so happy he started dancing as he neared closer and closer to the pipe’s opening.

🎶But you’ve gotta, make your own kind of music!🎶

Deku hummed to himself as he jumped into the air.

🎶Sing your own special song!🎶

The portal grabbed hls of him and sucked him in as Deku once again rode that multicolored stream into the Mushroom Kingdom.

🎶Make your own kind of music!🎶

Deku echoed as he rode through the clouds and got closer and closer to the end of the tunnel.

🎶E-ven if no-bo-dy else sings a-long!🎶

Deku sang as he was tossed out of the pipe and into the middle of Toad Square.

“WAH HOO!” Deku yelled out as the Toads cried out in joy seeing the hero who saved them finally come back home.

With that, Deku unplugged his earbuds and put them in his pocket. The Toads approached him and Deku greeted every single one of them as he tried to get to the castle. “Guys! Guys! I know you are excited to see him but he had urgent matters with the Princess!” Toad said as he pushed through the crowd and pulled on his arm, leading him towards the kingdom.

“Listen, man. I know you love them but come on! It’s been forever since you two saw each other!” Toad said.

-It has been 2 days since Deku left to his original world-

“I know. It’s just, I don’t want to just leave them there! They all look so excited! Plus who would I be if I didn’t take the time for the people who helped me when no one else did?” Deku asked. “No arguing here man.” Toad relented as Deku patted his head and gave him a paper bag.

“You didn’t!” Toad said. “I did.” Deku smiled as Toad opened it up and found a bag with the Kanji reading, Kinoko No Yama. “I happened to stop by a store and I just had to get these for you!” Deku said as Toad started jumping on his back, playfully punching his arm in joy.

“You are the best! Hey what’s this do?” Toad asked as he pulled out a little black rectangular box. He clicked on a button and electricity came out from the two prongs. “Okay. That is a tazer! I got it for you to use while me and Peach are gone!” Deku said, unfazed from the electricity so close to his face.

“Wait…” Toad started. “Yup! Me and Peach talked about it and we decided that you were probably the best person to leave in charge of the security of the Kingdom was you!” Deku said, smiling as Toad hugged the back of his head even harder.

“Thank you thank you thank you! I will not let you guys down!” Toad said as he hopped off Deku’s shoulders and ran to the direction of the security building. “Thank you thank you! Please tell the Princess I said thank you! And hi!”

“Of course Toad! Enjoy!” Deku tried to shout out but the little mushroom man had left a dust cloud from how quickly he ran to the building. Deku simply chuckled to himself. 5 years and Toad was still the same. Though he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Deku walked up to the palace gates and smiled at the mural. Instead of Peach on her own it was her in a pink dress and Deku in a green suit with both of them wearing crowns on their heads.

Deku thought back to many fateful days. Their first meeting, their confessions, their first kiss, their first date, and finally their wedding day. A feeling of nostalgia and joy filled up Deku’s heart as he walked past the Toad guards.

He still wasn’t used to how tall he had gotten the past 5 years. He had to crouch everytime he talked to one of the Toads. Deku smiled, thinking back to how the wedding went. The toads were pretty embarrassed to ask Deku how to bake a wedding cake like how they did back in his world.

They felt even more embarrassed when Toad had to come in with a backup cake after Donkey Kong fell onto the first one. All that just proved why Deku chose him as his best man.

The frosting was sweet and the cake was fluffy but Deku’s favorite was the little fluffy and airy cookies that were given at the ceremony too. Cellophane gave them to the happy couple at the wedding.

The tears that came from Inko were enough to create a big enough pool for King K Rool. Deku couldn’t help but crack up at Peach’s genuine concern for his mother and Deku just having to tell her, “Oh no. It’s okay she just does this.”

Peach and Inko got along swimmingly. Inko could not stop thanking Peach for all that she did for him and especially for taking care of him and protecting him and giving him the encouragement he always needed.

Peach just thanked Inko for raising such a kind and sweet boy.

Oh and yes. Peach found Bakugo and decked him in the face.

It came as a shock to All-Might to hear that Deku wanted to drop out of U.A and work on being a hero in the Mushroom Kingdom. But he didn’t object. The kid and his wife brought down All For One. Other than a few stray villains, no one really posed as much of a threat.

They even saved this girl named Eri from a villain named Overhaul. They adopted her straight away and even trusted Inko to babysit her while Peach and Deku took their trip.

All-Might did help get him a Provisional License so whenever he visited or was needed, Deku could operate as a hero in an emergency or at least if another pro was around.

The first day he moved into the Mushroom Kingdom, his first job saving the citizens, even his team up with DK to stop a tropical freeze over his land which was a whole other story played through his mind as he closed the doors to the castle.

Deku said walked down the halls and even waved at Bowser while he was playing a mini piano in a cage. He waved back.

As he walked through the castle, the clank of his metallic boots against the shiny tiles were no longer the only sound he heard.

The sound of item blocks rang out, familiar grunts and yells could be heard, and the oh so familiar tinks of falling blocks buzzed something in Deku’s head. As he approached the back of the castle, he saw a sight he’d never get tired of.

Princess Peach, his wife, was running along the obstacle course in a pink tank top and pink workout shorts. From the sweat glistening in the sun, Deku could tell she had been at this for a couple of hours. That’s probably why she wore this outfit instead of her usual dress.

She leapt over the last Bullet Bill and caught sight of Deku and a wide smile broke out across her face. “Izu!” She swung off the top of the flagpole and catapulted herself towards her husband. He scooped her up in his arms and twirled her around, hugging her back just as tightly as she did.

“Hi sweetie! Welcome back!” Peach squealed as she squeezed the life out of her husband. “Aw! Seeing you happy to see me never fails to recharge me.” Deku sighed, squeezing her back and nestling his face into her neck, feeling her hair dance and tickle his face.

“How was it back home?” Peach asked. “You say that as if this isn’t my home sweetie.” Deku said. “But it was fun! Got to say hi to mom and dropped off Eri. Also the group was fun to see again!” “Did you see Cellophane? I’d wrestle with Donkey Kong to get the recipe for those cookies.” Peach asked.

“Yes I did, and he refused to talk.” Deku said. “Though his mom did hint to giving the recipe up.” “Oh, with some gifts I have a feeling she’ll crack and tell us eventually.” Peach smiled. “Oh did you see Lemillion?” “Yes and he was a delight as always. That guy never fails to make me smile.” Deku said, grinning at the memories with him.

“Hope he visits Eri. She always loves to see him.” Peach said. “Don’t worry, I made sure he will pay her a visit.” Deku reassured her. “So! You want to get moving? I know it would be a short trip but…”

“You know. Why don’t we just stay here for a bit?” Peach asked as she leaned on the railing, watching the sunrise over the kingdom. Deku wanted to say otherwise but seeing his wife relax on the railing and unclench her shoulders is something he said he would never take for granted.

Without another word, Deku stood right next to her, placing his shoulder against hers. The two smiled and just stood there, watching the glow of the sun dance on the mountain and light up the blades of grass over the kingdom. Deku opened his hand and Peach took the invitation and held on tightly.

“…thank you.” Deku said. Peach just turned and looked on, a look of shock clearly melted away into a look of love. She smiled lovingly and tilted her head to rest on his shoulder. No words needed to be said. Peach spoke enough without anything verbal.

“Thank you.” Peach said back. And like that, Deku wrapped her up in a large hug where she was resting directly in his chest. She didn’t complain. Even over the years with Deku growing bigger, she was still quite a bit taller than him so these moments were few and far between. But Deku knew she loved those moments and never failed to make them happen.

They stood there for a couple of minutes. Feeling the sun dancing on their faces, their hearts warm up from the contact between the two, and all the pain, stress, and anxiety fade away.

This on its own would have made a great honeymoon. Just an entire month of this. Little did they know that not only would they have a spectacular honeymoon, but also the fact that they weren’t alone.

*In a far, far, far, far away world*

A mysterious figure watched what was going on through a translucent star. She was blond with long hair and with her bangs covering her eyes, a towering figure, wearing a blue dress, blue Pearl earrings, a tiara, and all while holding a wand.

She was standing on a large observatory with multiple squared off sections and little rooms all with the vast starry sky of space surrounding her.

Multiple little stars came in, chirping and squeaking. Talking in a different language that the figure understood. She simply smiled watching Deku and Peach embrace each other and get ready to go on their honeymoon.

“Yes. They do seem really happy don’t they?” She said. More and more chirps came from the little stars. “Not yet. We will need their help soon but we really should let them enjoy their honeymoon. The man is still working on his machines and mushrooms. We will have time before he’s ready.” She said. The stars chirped and then hugged the woman even the one she was looking at Deku and Peach through as she embraced them back.

“Yes. My children. I’ll read you the story.” She said. She carried them into a room with many story books and a rocking chair. Before she read the story she imagined the two heroes back in the Mushroom Kingdom and smiled.

“See you soon… mother and father.”
