Zootopia: Dominion of the Hats

Summary:

The Dor-15 hat from the Meet the Robinsons universe somehow made its way to the Zootopia universe and begins to turn all the animals into its slaves. Can Judy and Nick find a way to stop it?

Chapter 1: The hats

Chapter Text

In the vibrant city of Zootopia, where animals of all species coexist in harmony, Sebastian is a renowned wolf engineer and businessman, leader of the technology company WolfTech. Sebastian is known for his genius and his ability to develop innovative technologies that improve the lives of city dwellers.

In this story, Doris, the evil robotic hat, manages to infiltrate WolfTech's systems and discovers Sebastian's technological advances. With her ability to control minds, Doris decides to use WolfTech's resources to carry out her domination plan.
Sebastian, with his brilliant mind and his unlimited resources, becomes an ideal target for Doris, who sees in him an opportunity to expand her influence and control the entire animal population. Doris places herself in Sebastian's head and controls his mind to carry out his evil plans.

With the help of employees from Sebastian's company, Doris begins producing thousands of copies of herself. These copies are distributed throughout the city and people are excited by this new product, but before long each hat controls the mind of the wearer of it, turning them into Doris's puppets.

Animal society begins to change drastically. The animals, once free and autonomous, find themselves subject to Doris's will. Sebastian, under Doris's control, uses his position and his resources to ensure dominance of the hat technology over all other animals.

Meanwhile in the police station, calls for help multiply, and the police take to the streets to help. However, almost all of them end up being controlled by the hats.

Judy Hopps: (worried) This is getting out of hand! We need to find a solution and fast.

Nick Wilde: (looking out a window) It seems that there are more and more hats. How is it possible?

At the police station, Chief Bogo, Clawhauser, Judy, and Nick try to figure out a way to fix the situation, but their conversation is interrupted by the arrival of controlled animals and hats who begin to control more police officers.

Chief Bogo: We can't let this keep happening!

Clawhauser: (fighting the flying hats near his desk) This is crazy! ¡We need to escape!

Unfortunately, a pair of hats are placed on the heads of Chief Bogo and Clawhauser who begin to chase Judy and Nick, but both manage to escape through a back door of the police station while the hats continue to control the rest of the policemen.

Judy Hopps: We've got to get out of here before they catch us too!

Nick Wilde: Quick, let's get in one of the police cars!

As they try to get away from the city, they see how the streets have turned into complete chaos and due to other drivers fleeing at full speed, both end up colliding, while a group of controlled animals begins to slowly approach. But just when all seemed lost, Finnick showed up in his van.

Finnick: Hey bunny Nick! Get up, quick!

Thankful for Finnick's help, Judy and Nick climb into Finnick's van and speed off.

Judy Hopps: (breathing in relief) Thanks, Finnick! We didn't know how we were going to get out of it.

Nick Wilde: (nodding) Seems like things are getting worse. Why is this happening?

Judy Hopps: I have no idea, but we can't stay here.

Finnick: Where do we go then?

Judy Hopps: To Bunnyburrow, I called my parents and it seems that there are no hats there.

The van drives away from the city as our heroes wonder about the mysterious events that have thrown Zootopia into chaos.

Chapter 2: Chaos in the city Part 1

Chapter Text

Gazelle, the famous singer from Zootopia, was in her room at the Palm Hotel preparing for her next concert, when suddenly, she heard noises and screams coming from the corridor.

Gazelle: (worried and confused) What's going on outside?

Gazelle leaves her room and finds chaos in the hotel. Guests and employees fleeing and others being controlled by hats, including her dancing tigers.

Gazelle: (alarmed) I can't believe what I'm seeing! My tigers...

The dancing tigers, under the control of the hats, become aware of her presence and then surround Gazelle and capture her, preventing her from escaping from her.

Gazelle: Let me go! Aid!

She screamed loudly but no one helped her due to panic.

Meanwhile, in another part of town, Duke Weaselton, the thieving weasel, takes advantage of the confusion to steal the wallets of animals fleeing the streets.

Duke: (laughing) It's the perfect time for a little looting! No one will notice that I have taken their wallets.

As Duke heads into an alley, he finds an unconscious rabbit on the ground. He reaches out to take his wallet, but the rabbit suddenly stands up, revealing that he is already controlled by a hat and holds him tight, preventing him from escaping.

Duke: Damn! Why do rabbits always have to ruin my day?! Ugh! good heavens...!

Just then, another flying hat arrives and hovers over Duke's head, controlling him as well. The rabbit and Duke join a group of other controlled animals as they continue their way through the city attacking more survivors.

Meanwhile, in a restaurant in the Rainforest District, the waitress Sam was serving customers when suddenly the place was infested with hats that began to control the customers and the cook Gerald, so Sam and those customers who were still free, they quickly escaped from there by boarding a bus that had been abandoned and used it to leave the Rainforest District and reach Savanna Central but were surprised to see that that part of the city was also a mess.
Suddenly a car collided with them. The accident caught the attention of some hats who quickly flew over and began to control the larger animals while Sam and a few other small animals managed to escape through a window.

Rabbit: What the hell is going on?!

Beaver: It's like a zombie apocalypse but with hats!

Sam: Relax! We just have to sneak down that alley without being seen and...

Sam couldn't finish the sentence because they were seen by some of the controlled animals and so they had to run away, but the beaver and the rabbit were caught and controlled by the hats and they tried to catch Sam so she ran as fast as she could and just when all seemed lost Flash the lazy appeared in his car who slowly told Sam to get in, but she was already inside the car before Flash could finish speaking and Sam only demanded that she drive off at full speed.
Even though Sam didn't like high speeds the last time Flash gave her a ride, this time she was willing to put up with it, as there was no other choice.

Sam: (exhausted) Thank you...really...thank you so much...!

Flash: (slow and calm): No...there's...problem...

Sam: No problem, okay! Just watch where you're driving and don't stop!

Sam checked the news on her phone and found out that the Burrows were a safe place and told Flash to drive there.

Meanwhile in Tundratown, Mr. Big, the mobster shrew, and his family are being captured by their hat-controlled bodyguard polar bears.

Mr Big: (nervous) I can't believe it! My own polar bears have turned against me.

Fru Fru: (scared and carrying her baby) Dad, we have to escape! We can't let them catch us.

They both try to run, but Mr Big's personal bodyguard Koslov captures him and a miniature version of Doris controls him.

Fru Fru: (crying) Dad! No!

Fru Fru, she hid where she could, feeling lonely and scared and trying to calm her baby down so she wouldn't cry. She was suddenly found by her cousin Tru Tru, who tried to comfort her.

Tru Tru: Fru Fru, I'm so sorry. But we can't stay here. We must find a way to escape.

Fru Fru: (sobbing) But my dad...

Tru TruWe are going to face this situation together, but now we must go.

Fru Fru and Tru Tru meet some pilot mice next to a small helicopter.

Pilot Mouse 1: Girls, get up fast!

Pilot Mouse 2: We have to get out of here and get to Bunnyburrow before the hats and bears find us!

Tru Tru: (determined) Let's go! We cannot allow them to control us as well.

They both got into the helicopter and took off quickly, leaving Tundratown behind and ready to leave the city.

Fru Fru: (looking down) Bye, dad. I am so sorry.

Tru Tru: We'll be fine, cousin. The two of us together can get through anything.

The camera zooms out, showing the bleak panorama of Zootopia. The city is plunged into chaos caused by hats, and hope seems to have disappeared. Will someone manage to stop this someday?

Chapter 3: Chaos in the city Part 2

Chapter Text

The scene begins inside a modest apartment inhabited by a family of wolves who were homeless when the apocalypse began, so they ran back home as fast as they could. The members of the family are the following: Lucas (father), Olivia (mother), Ethan (eldest son) and Mia (youngest daughter). Chaos reigns in the streets of Zootopia, and the mother, worried about the situation, tries to calm the children down as they hear the sounds of sirens and commotion outside, while the father went to help one of his neighbors.

Olivia: (trying to calm her children down) Easy guys. We'll be safe in here. We just have to make sure we keep all the doors and windows closed.

Ethan: (uneasy) But mom, what's going on outside? Why is everything so chaotic?

Mia: (scared) What if the robot hats come here? What will we do?

Suddenly, there is a knock at the door. Olivia tenses up, but Lucas, outside, begins to beg to be let in.

Lucas: (shaky voice) Olivia open the door! They are already coming!

Olivia quickly opens the door, but her face fills with horror as she sees that Lucas is already controlled by a robot hat. At that moment, another hat flies in and lands on Olivia's head, controlling her as well.

Both parents: (with a forced smile and feigning kindness) It's safe, children. Open the door and get out. Everything will be fine.

Ethan, suspicious, tries to stop Mia from opening the door.

Ethan: No, don't! Something is not right!

Mia, convinced that her parents are telling the truth, opens the door. At that moment, both Lucas and Olivia capture the two children and place hats on their heads.

The wolf family, now controlled by the hats, walk out of the apartment like zombies, joining other controlled animals that roam the building. Terrified neighbors run from them and the flying hats that chase them.

Meanwhile in another of the apartments, a group of friends are trying to stay safe and trying to make as little noise as possible. The group is made up of the following characters:

2 Rabbits: Emma and Max.
3 Otters: Lily, Oliver and Chuck.
2 Pigs: Winston and Mark
1 Gazelle: Isabella.
1 Elephant: James.

The atmosphere in the department is tense. They are all worried about their friends who have been controlled by the hats and about the danger that lies ahead. They are whispering quietly so as not to attract attention.

Emma: (nervous) Guys, we have to be as quiet as possible. We can't let them find us.

Max: (anxious) Do you think we've lost those hats by now?

Lily: (worried) We can't let our guard down. These hats are everywhere. We have to stick together and find a way out of here.

At that moment, a loud noise is heard outside the door. Everyone goes on alert as a hat-controlled rhino approaches the apartment. The rhino breaks down the door and corners some of them.

Oliver: Quick, this way! We have to escape!

As the group tries to escape, flying hats enter the apartment and control Oliver, Chuck, and Mark. The tension rises.

Isabella: To the clear fire!

James makes a brave decision and decides to stay behind to face the rhino and buy time for the others to escape.

James: Go! I'll catch up with you later. Don't stop!

The rest of the group manage to escape via the fire escape as they mourn the loss of James. They reach a dark alley and realize they have been spotted by more controlled animals rapidly approaching.

Emma: (nervous) Quick, we have to find a way out!

Max: (determined) There's a car parked there! Get up quick!

The friends run to the car and manage to get in just in time. They start the car and speed out of town, barely escaping the controlled animals that are chasing them.

Winston: (breathing) That was close! But we can't stay here. We have to find a safe place.

Isabella: (sadly) Poor James.

Lily: (sobbing) Yeah, that was brave.

The group falls into a moment of silence as the car heads down the highway toward the outskirts of town.

Meanwhile, in a Zootopia school classroom, a group of children and adolescents have taken refuge from the hats that are outside controlling their teachers and classmates. The group is made up of the following characters:

2 Hippos: Roger and Sofia.
1 Elephant: Maya.
3 Rabbits: Alex, Elizabeth and Jason.
2 Wolves: Mike and Ellie.
2 Foxes: Nate and Lauren.
2 Bears: Hugo and Maison
1 Sheep: Sarah.
1 Lion: Daniel

Everyone is worried and arguing about how to escape from the school and find safety.

Maya: (nervous) We have to get out of here, but we can't get the attention of the controlled animals. We need a strategy.

Jason: (thoughtfully) We could distract the controlled to spread out, then head over to Max's car, which is parked near the front entrance.

Lucas: (excited) That could work! If we work together, we can make it.

The boys quickly come up with a plan and prepare to execute it.

The group manages to distract the controlled animals and heads towards the school exit. However, in the process, some of them are captured and put hats on them, becoming controlled and chasing their friends.

Sara: We can't leave them behind! We have to help them!

Nate: (determinedly) Come on, we can't give up! We have to get to Mike's car!

The only ones left are Mike, Ellie, Nate, Hugo, Alex and Sara.

Along the way, the sheep, Sara, insists that they go to her house to rescue her mother and younger brother, despite the group's misgivings.

Mike: (worried) Sara, they're probably under control by hats now. It's too dangerous.

Sara: (determined) But I can't leave my family behind. Some of you understand me, right?

Ellie: (sympathetic) It's okay, Sara. We support you. Let's go to your house.

Mike: Ugh! Alright!

The group arrives at Sara's house during the night and discovers that her family and her neighbors are also controlled by the hats. They all start to run back to the car, but on the way, Hugo, Nate, and Alex are controlled by hats.

Mike: (sadly and annoyed) I can't believe it! We have lost more friends. This is your fault, Sara! If we hadn't gone to your house, this wouldn't have happened!

Sara: (crying) I...I'm sorry...I...

Ellie: Mike calm down, this wasn't anyone's fault! Now what matters is getting out of here!

Mike didn't say anything and just kept driving.

The group continues their journey as they search for a way to overcome the odds and find a safe place where they can be away from the threat of the Controller Hats.

Chapter 4: Chaos in the city Part 3

Chapter Text

In a Zootopia hospital, the group formed by doctors: 2 tigers named Dr. Rachel and Dr. Christopher, an armadillo named Dr. Gabriel, a caribou named Dr. Cervus and some patients: 3 lions named: Henry, Isaac and Joseph and 4 pigs named Liam, Matthew, Patrick and Thomas, try to take refuge in a room when they are discovered by animals controlled by hats.

Dr. Rachel: (nervously) Quick, let's close the door and find a way out!

But before they can take cover, the door is broken down and the controlled animals give chase.

The group rushes down a hallway, but are met by controlled skunks blocking the way. The skunks release their foul odor, affecting Dr. Rachel, Liam, Matthew and Dr. Gabriel,

Dr. Cervus: (coughing and covering his nose) I can't breathe! We have to get out of here fast.

A small group of hats arrive flying and place themselves on the heads of those affected by the smell, controlling them and uniting them with the group of animals with hats, while the rest manage to escape through another corridor, but Dr. Gabriel, now controlled, becomes into a ball, and rolls towards them causing Joshep to slip and fall pushing Isaac so they are hit by the controlled animals and they hold them long enough for a group of hats to arrive and control them as well.

Thus, Dr. Cervus, Dr. Christopher, Henry, Patrick and Thomas flee to an elevator and once they reach the ground floor, they board one of the ambulances and escape from there before more hats reach them. Inside the ambulance, everyone is trying to recover from the traumatic event and assess the situation.

Dr. Cervus: (breathing) That was close! But we can't let the hats follow us

Dr. Christopher: (driving as fast as he can) I'll try to go towards the tunnels. If those things fly, they might not see us there.

Henry: (concerned) Do you think there is still a safe place in Zootopia?

Thomas: I don't think so, but we can't give up. We have to find a hiding place.

Patrick: (hopefully) We can go to Bunnyborrow, there doesn't seem to be any hats there!

Dr. Cervus: Are you sure about that?

Patrick: Yes! It seems that the peasants are not interested in buying any fancy hats. Well... that's what they say on the internet.

The group of survivors heads towards to Bunyburrow in the hope of being safe from the plague of hats.

Chapter 5: Shelter

Summary:

In this chapter the survivors of the previous stories arrive at the Bunnyburrow and decide to come up with a plan to save the city.

Chapter Text

After escaping the hats and controlled animals rampaging through Zootopia, Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and Finnick arrive exhausted at the Bunnyburrow, seeking refuge.

Nick Wilde: (looking out the window): I have to admit, it's a nice quiet place. Although I never imagined that I would end up surrounded by so many fluffy and adorable bunnies like you, Carrots.

Judy Hopps: (looking at him seriously) No kidding now Nick, we didn't come here to visit, we just didn't have a choice.

Finnick: (looking around with a frown) I hope the locals give us shelter. We have nowhere else to go.

Judy Hopps: Sure they will, my family lives over there. Let's go!

The three continued driving until they reached the Hopps family home and once there they were greeted by all of Judy's siblings. This impressed both foxes, as they did not expect their family to be so large.

After a few minutes of Judy greeting her siblings, who were glad she was okay, her parents finally showed up.

Stu Hopps: (hugging Judy) Little girl, what a relief to see you!

Bonnie Hopps: Are you okay?

Judy Hopps: (nodding) I'm fine, Mom. But Zootopia is now in chaos and while we are here, we must figure out how to stop this.

Stu Hopps: Are we?

Judy Hopps: Oh yeah! This is my partner and friend Nick Wilde, remember I told you about him on the phone?

Bonnie Hopps: Oh but sure! how to forget it.

Nick Wilde: (smiling a little nervously and extending his paw) Nice to meet you Mr and Mrs Hopps! A pleasure to meet you! I wish it were under better circumstances.

Bonnie Hopps: (shaking his paw) Oh don't worry, we get it.

Stu Hopps: Nice to meet you, Nick. I'm glad my daughter has a friend to take care of her with such a dangerous job.

Nick Wilde: (assisting) Don't worry Mr. Hopps, Judy's safe with me. If it wasn't for me, she would have been missing multiple times.

Bonnie Hopps: (confused and partially concerned) What?

Judy Hopps: (annoyed) Nick!

Nick Wilde: (looking at her with her cynical smile) What? It's true, I saved both of us several times during the case of the missing mammals.

Judy Hopps: (seriously) I was actually the one who saved us, because you just freaked out and gave up, quickly.

Nick Wilde: (frowning) Well...it's true.

Hey let me go! - Everyone turned when they heard a deep voice and saw Finnick trying to push Judy's younger brothers away.

Bunny 1: How old are you?

Bunny 2: Why are your ears so big?

Finnick: Just let me go, girl!

Nick Wilde: (turning to Judy's parents and pointing to the fennec fox) I almost forgot! This little guy here is my friend, Finnick.

Finnick: (angry voice) Don't ever call me little one again, or I'll bite your nose off!

After entering the house, our protagonists watched through a television as some reporters tried to flee, while recording the hell that the city had become, until the signal was suddenly cut off. Then Judy and Nick turned to face each other knowing that they had to find a solution to the problem as soon as possible.

A while later, Flash and Sam also arrived at the burrows after a long drive at full speed.

Flash: (slowing) We...are...here.

Sam: (breathing heavily) ...yes!...finally!...I can't take it anymore...

The otter immediately got out of the car and was glad, not only to be away from the hats, but also to finally get out of the sloth's car. Sam still couldn't believe that someone like the Flash, who talks and moves slowly, could drive so fast.

A moment later other vehicles arrived with more survivors. Among them were the small helicopter of Fru Fru and Tru Tru, the car of Emma, Max, Winston, Isabella and Lily, the car of Mike, Ellie and Sara and the ambulance of Dr. Cervus, Dr. Christopher, Henry, Patrick and Thomas. Once they reached the village the locals gave them shelter and Judy and Nick helped show each one where they were going to stay. Later some of them gathered around a campfire as they continued to mourn the loss of their friends.

Judy Hopps: (sighing) It's been a tiring day, hasn't it? We all deserve a little rest.

Nick Wilde: (yawning) You're absolutely right, Carrots. I'm ready to collapse on a bed and forget about everything for a while.

Finnick: (stretching) I definitely need a good sleep. This madness has left me on the brink of exhaustion.

Flash: (slowly speaking) I...am...also...going...to...sleep

Sam: (nodding and leaving the scene) I totally agree! I will rest as if there was no tomorrow.

Fru Fru: (worried) But what are we going to do tomorrow? We can't just ignore the problem. What if one day those things decide to come here?!

Judy Hopps: (reassuring her) You're right, Fru Fru. But right now, we all need to regain strength. Tomorrow we will think about what to do.

Max: (supporting Judy) Officer Hopps is right. We cannot let fear and worry completely consume us.

Winston: (sighing) It's hard not to think about our friends who are now under the control of the hats. But for now, we have to take care of ourselves.

Isabella: (hugs Lily) I'm sure we'll find a solution, but first we need to rest and recharge.

Ellie: (shaking Sara's hand) Let's rest. It has been a long day.

Dr. Cervus: (looking at everyone before leaving) Good evening.

Emma: (sighing) Good night.

Tru Tru: Let them rest.

The survivors prepare to go to sleep, finding refuge and comfort in each other's company. Despite the uncertainty and grief for their fallen friends, they find strength in their union and the hope of finding a solution to free Zootopia from the hats.

Without another word, Judy and Nick head off to rest as well, putting their worries aside for now and promising themselves that when they wake up they will be ready to face the challenge ahead.

Chapter 6: Hope

Summary:

In this chapter Judy and Nick receive the help of an ally who seems to have the solution to the problem.

Chapter Text

A week later, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde were in the living room of the Hopps family home, discussing strategies for dealing with the hat problem that had plagued Zootopia. They were engrossed in their conversation when they suddenly heard a ruckus outside. Curious, they ran outside to find everyone else gathered around a newly arrived car.

Judy Hopps: What's going on here?

Nick Wilde: Looks like they've seen someone famous. Let's find out.

They made their way through the crowd until they reached the front, where a cheetah was getting out of the newly arrived car. The cheetah, with an anxious but hopeful look, introduced himself.

Victor: Hi everyone! My name is Victor. I am an inventor who worked at WolfTech, the company responsible for the creation of the hats.

Judy Hopps: (surprised) Were you working at WolfTech?

Victor: Yes. I barely managed to escape from the city. And that's not all. I also brought with me an invention that can dismantle hats. I have been working on it for a long time and have finally made a significant breakthrough.

Nick Wilde: (skeptical) And why should we trust you? You are part of the problem.

Victor: I understand, but I've seen the damage the hats have caused and I regret being part of their creation. I didn't know this would happen. Now I want to make amends and help free Zootopia.

Judy Hopps: (staring at him) How does your invention work?

Victor: (taking out some kind of remote control) I have developed a device that emits a signal that disables the hats and releases the controlled animals.

Sam: (excited) That's amazing! With your invention, we can free our friends and put an end to this nightmare.

Emma: (supporting Victor) I think we should give it a try. If he's willing to help, we can work together to figure this out.

Victor: (nervous) Yeah...emm...the problem is that I need help to get back to the city, for a machine that will help me mass-produce it, because one alone won't be enough.

Upon hearing that, they all felt a little disappointed and scared, since none of them wanted to go back there after how difficult it was to escape.

Judy Hopps: (making a decision) It's okay, Victor. We two will help you. I'm Officer Judy Hopps and this is my partner Officer Nick Wilde.

Victor: Yes, I've heard of you. They were the ones who solved the case of the missing mammals and those who went wild.

Nick Wilde: (smiling) The same. Welcome to the team, Victor. Sometimes we all deserve a second chance.

Victor: (smiling) Thank you.

With renewed hope and the promise of a plan to free Zootopia, the characters came together in a concerted effort. Later Victor decided to tell everyone how it all started.

___

Flashback

Two months ago, in the WolfTech lab, my boss, Sebastian Wolford, ordered us to create the helper hats, inspired by the one he had on his head, which he said he invented himself. A revolutionary idea that would change the way animals interact with technology. But I felt something was off. Sebastian always wore an ordinary bowler hat, but he usually took it off while he worked. However, the robot hat was on him all the time, which I found strange.

Victor: (thoughtfully) Why is the boss so attached to that hat? Something is not right.

At first I thought he was just obsessed with his new creation, but then I realized that he acted most of the time as if he were in some kind of trance and when he spoke to others it was in a monotone as if he were some kind of robot. My coworkers thought it was just tired from work, but I knew there was something else.

As production of the hats progressed, I secretly began working on a device that could dismantle them in case something went wrong. I was worried that there was something else behind all this, something dark and dangerous.

Victor: (whispering as he works) I can't let this go wrong. I must find a way to protect the animals from the possible negative effects of these hats.

Finally, the fateful day came when the hats began to control everyone in the city. It was a nightmare. Animals I once knew and worked with became automata, with no will of their own. He knew he had to escape.

Victor: (breathing) This can't be real! I have to get out of here before they catch me!

I jumped into my car and started driving at full speed, escaping from a group of hats that were chasing me. His determination to catch me was terrifying. I drove as fast as I could, dodging his attempts to crash me.

Victor: (yelling) They won't catch me! I won't let them control me!

After an intense chase , I finally made it out of the city and found temporary shelter in a safe place. I looked in the rearview mirror and saw how the hats controlled the city that was once my home. I felt a mixture of sadness and determination.

Victor: (sighing) This all started with an idea, an idea gone wrong. But now, I must do my best to correct it and stop this nightmare.

I decided it was my duty to find a way to dismantle the hats and free the city from their control. And when I found out that the Bunnyburrow were a safe place, I decided to come here.

___

After finishing his story, everyone was shocked and after a few minutes of silence, Mike decided to break the ice.

Mike: Well that was interesting, but... how are we going to defeat those things?

Dr. Cervus: And how will you mass produce your invention? You say you have to go back to Zootopia for that, but how are you going to do it if the whole city is full of hats, including Wolftech's lab?

Victor: There's a lab that was recently abandoned and we left behind machinery that can mass produce our inventions. If I can get there I can use that to produce more controls like this and take down the hats before it's too late.

Dr. Christopher: Before it's too late?

Victor: (worried) Yeah. It's likely that when the hats finish conquering Zootopia, they'll go through the nearby towns and beyond.

The latter worried everyone, since it seemed that their refuge would not last long.

Judy Hopps: (determined) Then we have to hurry.

Nick Wilde: (worried) And how are we going to do that just the three of us?

Dr. Cervus: Who said they were going it alone?

Max: We'll go with you.

Judy Hopps: (confused and concerned) Are you sure? It's very dangerous.

Patrick: (smiling) Of course! Don't think we're going to abandon you.

Nick Wilde: (surprised) But...we barely know each other. Why do they care about us?

Isabella: Well, this is a suicide mission.

Dr. Cervus : Yes, also the last time you two saved the city you were lucky and the enemies chasing you weren't that many. But this time it's different and we honestly don't think they can do it alone.

Judy Hopps : Thanks guys.

Ellie: I'm going too.

Mike: (holding his shoulder) Ellie, no!

Ellie: Mike!

Mike: (annoyed) Don't you remember what happened the last time we helped someone?!

The wolf turned to see Sara with annoyance and is looking at her sadly as she remembered how they lost more friends when they went to try to save her family after escaping from school.

Judy, seeing the tension between them, decides to intervene.

Judy Hopps: Okay! Enough with us. You guys stay here.

Mike: Do you see? They don't need us.

Ellie: But...

Henry: Don't worry, I can go in your place.

Nick Wilde: Are you sure, mate? What, you weren't a hospital patient?

Henry: Yeah, but I just dislocated my shoulder and I'm fine.

Victor : Okay, now we just need a transport where we can all fit.

Dr. Cervus : We can use the ambulance.

Judy Hopps: Good idea! Let's go!

Minutes later Judy returned to her family's house to say goodbye to her in case something went wrong.

Stu Hopps: (worried) Judy, this is crazy. Please don't go back there.

Judy Hopps: I have to, Dad, otherwise it may never be over.

Bonnie Hopps: (concerned) Judy, are you sure there isn't someone else who can do this?

Judy Hopps: (sadly) I'm afraid not. Please understand.

After a while both parents agreed to let Judy save the day trusting that Nick and her new friends would protect her.

The team boarded the ambulance and headed for zootopia prepared for whatever it was while everyone said goodbye and wished them luck. Can they end the reign of Dor-15 and save Zootopia? Read on to find out.

Chapter 7: Return to the city

Summary:

Judy, Nick, Finnick and their new friends return to Zootopia to stop the hats. Will they succeed in their mission?

Chapter Text

Zootopia, the city where everyone can be what they want, was now ruled with an iron fist by hats. On Doris's orders, the hat-controlled animals begin to reshape Zootopia in their image. The beautiful ecosystems and landscapes that used to grace the city are replaced by industrial machinery aimed at making more hats. Buildings are remodeled or destroyed to make way for structures shaped like bowler hats.

In the midst of the transformation, some of the strongest animals, including those who used to be police officers, become city hunters. His mission is to search for and capture the animals that are still free, with the purpose of subduing them and making them also be controlled by the hats.

The group consisting of Judy, Nick, Finnick, Victor, Dr. Cervus, Max, Isabella, Patrick, and Henry head into the city, avoiding controlled animal patrols as they seek to reach the abandoned WolfTech lab to develop a solution. In every corner, they find evidence of the transformation of Zootopia and the oppression imposed by the hats.

Meanwhile, fear and despair seize those animals that are still free, hiding and seeking refuge to avoid falling into the clutches of those controlled.

The group drove carefully and stealthily, aware that they had to avoid being discovered by the hats and their victims.

Arriving at a blocked street, they turn into a different street and enter a tunnel while they talk quietly about the amazement of what they have witnessed.

Max: (whispering) Did you see that? It seems that the hats are taking drastic measures to consolidate their control over the city.

Patrick: (worried) It's alarming to see how they've organized some kind of army. This means that they are taking this very seriously and will not be stopped easily.

Victor: (analyzing the situation) It seems that they have established a new order in the city, using the citizens as tools to promote their influence. It's a smart tactic, but also a dangerous one.

Dr. Cervus: (considering) This shows just how powerful and sophisticated the technology behind these hats is. We are facing a greater challenge than we imagined.

Henry: (sadly) I can't believe what they're doing to our city. Zootopia used to be a place full of diversity and harmony.

Isabella: (frustrated) They're destroying everything we love. These hats have turned our friends into enemies.

Finnick: (looking out the window) We have to be very careful when we move. We can't let them discover us before we get to the lab.

Henry: (nervous) What do we do if we run into more controlled animals along the way?

Nick Wilde: (concerned) Better pray that doesn't happen!

Judy Hopps: (determined) We won't let Zootopia be destroyed. We will fight for our city and for those who cannot defend themselves. We are the last hope of Zootopia. We will not allow hats to control our lives and our minds.

Those words of hope cheered the group up a bit, but the bottom was still scared. As the group continues their journey in silence, each of them pondered the severity of the situation. They know that danger lurks around every corner and that the success of their mission is crucial to freeing Zootopia.

Once they reached the laboratory, they entered cautiously, observing their surroundings carefully. A few dim lights barely illuminated the place, revealing dust-covered machines and equipment. The silence was overwhelming, but the determination on the faces of the protagonists was evident.

Nick Wilde: (whispering) This looks like a set from a horror movie.

Judy Hopps: (whispering) We have to stay calm and focus on our goal. We are here to end this nightmare and set Zootopia free. Victor, can you locate the machine you told us about?

Victor: (whispered) Yeah, he's on the lower level of the lab. But we must be careful, we don't know what awaits us down there.

The group turned on their flashlights, descended the stairs, and advanced cautiously. Each step was calculated and silent. They came to a large room where there was a machine like the ones that had been used in the production of hats, but it was brought here after breaking down.

Finnick: (confused and annoyed) Is that the machine? You said it was to make more controllers like yours, not to make more hats!

Victor: (quietly) Shhhh! Yes I know. I know I told you that the machine was to produce more controls, but in reality it was not exactly like that.

Nick Wilde: (whispering) What?!

Victor: (whispering) Listen! We actually came here to create a diversion.

Max: (whispering partially annoyed) What do you mean a distraction!

Victor: (whispering) My plan is: fix this machine and make it make new hats. But these will be programmed to help us, because in case they discover us, they will give us enough time to flee and reach WolfTech's main laboratory.

Isabella: (whispering) And why would we go there?

Victor: (Whispering) Because there isn't really a way to mass replicate my device. But in the building there is an antenna that can hack and transmit messages or signals through television, telephone and radio waves. If we can get there, I can connect my controller to the antenna and transmit the signal to disable the hats to all parts of the city.

Nick Wilde: (whispering annoyed) And if that was always your plan, why didn't you tell us from the beginning?!

Victor: (whispering and looking at everyone seriously) If I had told you that we should go straight to the origin of everything, instead of to an abandoned place, would you have agreed to help me?

They all turned to look at each other in silence until the cheetah spoke again.

Victor: (whispering) No, right?

Nick Wilde: (whispering)...Good point...

Isabella: (whispering) That doesn't matter now! We are already here and we must hurry!

Max: (nervous) But what if something goes wrong? We cannot afford mistakes.

Patrick: (gaining his composure) Max, trust Victor. He knows what he does. Also, we have to do something to help our friends and the city.

Judy Hopps: (calming him down) Patrick's right, Max. We cannot sit idly by. We must try and have faith that it will work out.

Victor: (determined) Good! I will start to repair the machine. You pass me some of the tools that are on that table and keep the hats that come out in one of those boxes.

While Victor worked on the machine, the others kept watch, watching for any sign of danger. The tension in the air was palpable, but so was the hope that they could change the course of events.

Finally Victor made the machine work, in addition to modifying the programming of the new hats to follow his instructions and help them in their mission.

After a while they had already produced more than 30 hats

Judy Hopps: (looking at the machine and the modified hats) This is amazing, Victor. Are you sure these hats won't pose a threat.

Victor: (nodding) Absolutely, Judy. These hats are different. They are designed to protect us from bad hats.

Nick Wilde: (skeptical) Well, I hope you know what you're doing, Victor. I don't want to end up under the control of any of those things, even if you did them.

Dr. Cervus: Victor has worked hard and shown his commitment. I trust him and his plan.

Victor: Thank you. Trust me Nick. These hats are our best bet to combat the threat.

Isabella: (curious) Hey Victor, how did you manage to build that device at the same time that WolfTech was producing the hats with this fast-working machinery?

Victor: (smiling) I actually spent many sleepless nights working on this device. I am determined to make amends and stop this nightmare. I can't let hats rule the world.

Suddenly the power suddenly went out shutting down the machine and then Victor, accompanied by Judy, Nick and Henry, decides to go upstairs to check the generator. However, Henry, nosy around some dusty computers, prepares to sneeze, which alerts the other three.

Judy Hopps: (whispering) Henry, don't do it! We have to keep quiet!

Nick Wilde: (nervously) Carrots, stop him before it's too late!

Victor: (worriedly) Quick, Judy, don't let him sneeze!

Judy quickly runs over to Henry and covers his nose just in time, preventing him from sneezing. The group sighs in relief, but their relief is short-lived when Henry finally sneezes, drawing the attention of nearby hat-controlled wolves, who immediately howl to call a whole group of controlled animals to investigate.

Nick Wilde: (nervous and annoyed) Agh! Why the wolves' obsession with howling?!

The tension rises when the controlled animals begin to force their way into the laboratory. Victor, Judy, Nick and Henry quickly fix the problem with the generator and run back downstairs to inform the rest of the group of the situation.

Victor: (breathing) We have to get out of here right now! They discovered us.

Dr. Cervus: (worried) Do we have a back exit? We need to escape from them.

Victor: (determined) Yes, there is a back exit. Follow me, I will guide you.

The group quickly take the box with the hats and flee following Victor. As they run towards the back exit, they are chased by the controlled animals, who are getting closer and closer.

Nick Wilde: (yelling) Stick together! We can't let them catch us!

Judy Hopps: (cheering) Come on, don't give up! We can do it!

Henry: (breathing) I can't believe my sneeze got us into this mess!

Eventually, the group reaches the back exit and manages to escape in the ambulance just in time, leaving behind the controlled animals who try to chase them to no avail.

Finnick: (gasping) That was close!

Victor: (panting) We're safe for now, but we have to keep going. We cannot stop until we have completed our mission.

With their hearts pounding and adrenaline pumping through their veins, the group heads away from the abandoned lab and towards WolfTech's main headquarters, knowing that each step they take brings them closer to the liberation of Zootopia and the defeat of the controller hats.

Chapter 8: Attack to Bunnyburrow

Summary:

While the group made up of Judy, Nick, Finnick, Victor, Dr. Cervus, Max, Isabella, Henry and Patrick were in Zootopia, a group of hats and controlled animals arrive at the Burrows aboard a train and begin to enslave the inhabitants.

Chapter Text

Shortly after Judy, Nick and company left for Zootopia aboard the ambulance, a group of animals controlled by hats and armed with tranquilizer dart guns boarded a train and arrived at Bunnyburrow, where they began rounding up the inhabitants and survivors. who escaped from Zootopia a week earlier.

Dr. Christopher: Protect the youngest! Don't let them catch you.

Mike: (nervous) This isn't looking good, is it?

Dr. Rachel: Mr. and Mrs. Hopps! Go home and protect your children, let's take care of buying time!

Bonnie Hopps: (worried) Let's go Stu! We can't let the kids get caught!

After both parents left, the group's challenge called the attention of the controlled to follow them and not the Hopps.

Sam: (nervous) We're surrounded! What are we going to do?

Ellie: Stay calm, Sam. We will find a way out of this situation.

Thomas: (worried) We have to act fast. If the hats control more animals, it will be even more difficult to stop them.

Dr. Christopher: (analyzing the situation) We have to think clearly. You have to take them to a place far from the population.

Dr. Rachel: I agree. We also need to find a way to neutralize them so they don't cause more trouble.

Lily: (smiling) I have an idea!

The group quickly hid in a house and once there Lily told them her plan while the controlled animals pounded on the door. Once everyone knew what they had to do, they all escaped through a window and made their way to the field.
When the controlled animals arrived at the field, the group was already waiting for them. The controlled began to chase Thomas and he led them to a mound of dirt that he jumped over. Y. Bear, a pig, a rabbit and a controlled wolf didn't care and as they walked around they fell through a hole that was covered by that pile of earth.

On the other hand, Sam took refuge at the top of a tree and when some wolves and squirrels tried to climb to reach her, she began to throw bags of earth at them, making them fall while Dr. Christopher and Dr. Rachel covered them with a net. However, a controlled rhino ran at full speed and crashed into the tree trying to knock it down, causing Sam to lose his balance and fall, but Ellie managed to catch her in time.

Sam: (breathing) Thank you!

Ellie: (smiling) No problem!

Sam: (scared) Watch out!

Ellie turned and saw the tree falling straight towards them, so they both got out of there immediately.

Meanwhile Mike and Winston were being chased by more controlled animals and they tried to defend themselves from them using garden tools, but that wasn't enough. Suddenly one of the controlled animals shot a dart at Mike causing him to fall and a hat could control him, while Winton locked himself in a shed.

Ellie: (worried and sad to see what happened to her boyfriend) Mike, noooo!

Dr. Rachel: (taking her arm) We have to go, now!

As they ran away, a controlled elephant saw a bag of seeds, sucked up several of them with its trunk and began to shoot them at the shed where Winston was staying like bullets which broke the window allowing a hat to enter. The rest of the group looked back when they heard his friend's screams, but in the end they only saw him come out of there now controlled by the hat and join the mob, along with Mike.

Meanwhile Flash, Tru Tru and Fru Fru, carrying their baby, were hiding in a house next to the peasants who lived there, who were trying to block the doors and windows. However, a couple of mice and three lemmings controlled by small hats entered through a half-open window and began to chase the shrews who were on a table.

Fru Fru: (trying to calm down her crying baby) Don't worry, don't be scared!

Tru Tru: (running) Don't stop cousin! Keep running!

Flash heard the screams of both and slowly turned to see the scene. While to both shrews this chase was terrifying, from afar it looked adorable.

The sloth tried to go help them but if slow it wasn't helping.

Flash: (slowly speaking) I'm... coming...!

But just when the controlled rodents were about to catch up with the shrews, a rabbit and a sow caught them in a jar.

Fru Fru: (breathing exhausted) Thank you!...Thank you!

Pig: No problem!

Meanwhile in the field after a while to continue fleeing Emma, the Dra. Rachel and the Dr. Christopher were also controlled, and they cornered the rest in a barn, suddenly a hat came and tried to place itself on Ellie's head so she tried to stop it with her claws.

Ellie: (struggling) Help me! I can't resist anymore! The hat...

The wolf couldn't finish the sentence because the hat got out of her claws and grabbed her head, controlling her too and making her attack Thomas.

Thomas: (desperate) Don't let them control you, Ellie! Fight them!

Sara: (worried) We have to find a way to escape!

Lily: (concerned) Judy! Whatever you're doing, do it fast!

The Bunnyburrow group continues to fight to survive the hats. The sound of tranquilizer dart guns and the screams of peasants fill the air.

Chapter 9: The Signal

Summary:

Our heroes arrive at WolfTech headquarters to transmit the signal that will disable the hats. Will their mission be a success or failure?

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

At dusk, after driving unseen for a while, the group arrived at WolfTech's main headquarters and prepared to save the city and the world.

Victor: (seriously) Well, we're here! Now everyone put on a hat.

Nick Wilde: (shocked) Are you crazy?!

Victor: I already told you these won't hurt us.

Henry: (nervous) But, but...

Dr. Cervus: (calm) Don't worry. If Victor says they're harmless, I believe him.

Finncik: (still hesitating) Well I hope so, because I don't want to be brainwashed into a zombie like the outsiders.

Victor: (confident) I assure you they won't.

Each member of the group took a hat from the box and put it on while the rest floated next to them. Some of our protagonists expected the worst, but luckily the hats did nothing to them. And so they realized that Victor was right, these hats would respect their free will as well as serve as camouflage when outside.

The group got out of the ambulance while the rest of the good hats followed close behind. As the group leaned to the side of the building, Victor peeked around the corner and saw that the entrance was manned by hat-controlled security guards. Victor quickly ordered two of the hats floating next to them to distract the guards, telling them that they saw intruders and should catch them.

The group entered once the guards left and the entrance was cleared.

After that, Victor used his device to disable the security cameras, ensuring they would not be detected during their infiltration.

Victor: (concentrated) The cameras are disabled. Now we need to quickly move towards the antenna on the roof. That is our priority.

The group cautiously proceeds through the corridors of the building, avoiding any more guards controlled by hats. Each step brings them closer to their ultimate goal.

Henry: (nervous) Do you think we can do it? I'm worried about what we'll find on the roof.

Isabella: (reassuringly) We're in this together, Henry. We support each other. We will make it.

After walking for a while, they came to a corridor where there was a group of controlled animals walking in the opposite direction. Everyone got a little scared, but when they saw them with hats on their heads, the controlled ignored them.

The group felt some relief and entered through a door to access the stairs. They went up for a while and by the time they got to the middle of the building they were a little exhausted.

Henry: (panting) I can't take it anymore!

Victor: We're almost there, just a little more!

Nick Wilde: (annoyed and exhausted) Oh come on! I'm even hot already!

Suddenly Nick's hat pulled out one of his mechanical arms with a small fan for him.

Nick Wilde: (surprised) Wow! Um...thank you!

Judy Hopps: (nervous) Umm...Guys!

Looking up they saw a controlled rhino and horse blocking the way. Although they all continued to wear their respective hats, they were discovered, since the controlled hardly spoke and most of the time moved slowly like zombies, in addition to their hats not being interested in being kind to them but in using them as slaves.

Nick Wilde: (raising his paw) Mmm...Hello!...hehehe.

Both animals only began to get closer making the ground rumble.

Victor: Run!

The group quickly went through a door that was next door and went through the corridors of that floor, fleeing from more controlled animals that also saw them.

Judy Hopps: (scared) Quick, we've got to find a way out! We can't let them catch us!

Victor: Follow me! Hats! They already know what to do!

The group follows the cheetah where it indicates. As they run, the controlled animals chase them closely, getting closer and closer, though some of the good hats try to stop them.

Victor: (breathing) Come on, we have to get back to the stairs the other way! We cannot allow ourselves to be trapped here.

The group reached a large meeting room and closed the two large doors behind them, but the controlled animals began to beat her up. So Victor and Dr. Cervus loaded up the table and chairs and they were there to block it, but that didn't seem to do much good, so the doctor made a decision.

Dr. Cervus: (determined) You guys go! I'll hold them off as long as I can!

Isabella: (worried) But what about you?!

Max: (worried) We're not leaving him here!

Dr. Cervus: (determined) Don't worry about me guys. I will do whatever it takes to keep them safe. Go now!

The group got a little sad but in the end they understood that changing his mind would be useless, so they fled through another door that Finnick, Patrick and Henry had opened, but not before leaving behind a few good hats to help him keep Boardroom entrance closed.

Finnick: (confused) Hey, and the Doc?

Henry: (worried) And what about Dr. Cervus? We can't just leave it behind.

Nick Wilde: He's going to sacrifice himself!

Patrick: (surprised) What?!

These last members of the group plead with Dr. Cervus not to be left behind, but he assures them that he will be fine and yells at them to continue their escape from him.

Dr. Cervus: Go away, there's no time to waste! Find a way out and end this!

With heavy hearts, the group continues to run down the hall, leaving the brave Dr. Cervus behind as they close the doors behind them.

Isabella: (sadly) I can't believe he left us like this.

Judy Hopps: (determinedly) He sacrificed his safety for us. We cannot let his sacrifice be in vain. We must find a way out and end this.

The group continues their escape, making their way through the halls of the building, avoiding the controlled animals as they search for a way to get to the stairs. Courage and determination drives them as they fight to free Zootopia from the oppression of the Controller Hats.

Finally they reach a door that will allow them to access the stairs again but more controlled animals and some hats come out of it. So Victor orders some of the good hats to attack them while they escape.

The group continues to run and since their path has been blocked they have no choice but to take the elevator. However as they ran towards him, a controlled porcupine threw one of its quills at Henry who fell to the ground allowing one of the bad hats to reach him and although the good hat on his head tried to defend him, it failed and was damaged causing him to fall ang th e bad hat take the control of him.

Patrick: (worried) Henry, no!

The group only watched as Henry, now in control, was approaching them as the elevator door closed.

Isabella: (sobbing frightened) It's just like when we ran out of town last week!

Victor: (trying to hold his own) We can't help him. We must continue and reach the roof, only then will we end this hell.

Judy Hopps: (determined) Although that sounds a little insensitive, you're right. We must reach that antenna, before it's too late.

The group kept going up but suddenly the elevator stopped and they immediately realized that the hats cut the power. So they had no choice but to go to the roof of the elevator and climb the cables until they reached the top floor.

Patrick: (nervous) Are you sure about this? I don't know see My sure

Judy Hopps: (serious) It's the only way.

Nick Wilde: (trying to sound optimistic) Judy and I already have experience with heights, but...the last time we fell there were leaves and vines to break our fall. So... try not to fall.

That comment wasn't much help to the rest but they still started climbing the wires.

The group reached the elevator doors on the top floor and Victor managed to get close enough to open the doors with all his might. The cheetah managed to climb to the top floor safely and then helped Patrick, Max and Isabella, but just as they were going to help Judy, Nick and Finnick the lights on that floor suddenly turned on and everyone's looks were horrified when they turned and they saw Sebastian Wolford with Doris on his head, accompanied by many controlled animals (including Chief Bogo, Garraza and a few other policemen) and several hats, already waiting for them.

Nick Wilde: (whispering nervously) What do we do now Victor?

The jaguar looked around and saw that on the right side, in the space between them and the controlled animals, there was a door that led to the stairs and you only had to climb a little to reach the roof and when you turned to see the hole in the elevator saw a ventilation shaft that also connected to the roof, something that Judy noticed and that gave them both an idea.

Victor: (whispering) On my signal Isabelle, Patrick and Max run to that door on the right and the little ones from the elevator go through the shaft. The good hats and I will take care of the rest.

The controlled animals began to slowly approach. While Victor began to count to three.

Victor: (whispering) One...

The controlled were approaching.

Victor: (whispering) Two...

The controlled ones got even closer.

Victor: Three! Now!

Isabella Patrick and Max ran to the door but Max was hit by a controlled zebra and one of the evil hats landed on her head controlling it too, Isabella tried to help him only to end up suffering the same fate.

At the same time Victor took the remote out of his pocket and threw it at Judy who caught it and motioned for both foxes to follow her down the ventilation shaft, while Victor and the rest of the good hats stayed to fight.

Nick Wilde: (worried) I hope Victor is okay. He's a good guy.

Finnick: (surprised) And very smart, too.

Judy Hopps: (determined) Yes, it is...but now we must continue!

The trio continued advancing until they came out through a tube on the roof and they saw how Patrick and Victor came out of a door safe and sound accompanied by some good hats, who immediately tried to stop the door so that the controlled animals did not reach them.

Victor: (struggling to keep the door closed) Guys!...You must go up to the top of the antenna, open the control panel and connect the device! Fast!

Patrick: We won't hold them off for long!

The rabbit and the two foxes quickly began to climb the antenna however a group of hats came flying and Victor quickly ordered the remaining good hats to stop them. However one of the bad hats dodged the attack and attached itself tightly to Finnick's head, crushing his ears to fit snugly.

The little fox, now under control, began to climb faster and managed to knock Nick off his feet. However, one of the good hats caught the red fox with one of his mechanical arms and left it safe and sound on the ground to later catch Finnick, who began to growl and tried to shake himself free like a wild animal.

Without the help of the good hats, Victor and Patrick lost their strength and then the controlled animals accessed the roof, among them Sebastian Wolford, who growling began to climb the antenna to reach Judy while Doris spoke through him.

DOR - 15 / Sebastian Wolford: (in an annoying but monotonous tone) They're not going to stop me!

Nick Wilde: (worried) Judy!!

Seeing his friend in danger, Nick ran and began to climb the antenna again until he reached the wolf and made him fall as Finnick had done with him a few moments before. But Sebastian pulled him by the tail making him fall too.

Judy Hopps: (concerned) Nick!

Nick Wilde: (struggling) Carry on, Carrots! Do not stop!

Once on the ground they both began to struggle and Nick did his best to keep Sebastian and Doris busy long enough for Judy to get to the top.

Judy kept climbing and finally got close to the tip of the antenna, opened the control panel and searched for some sort of USB port that matched the tip of Victor's control. As soon as she connected it, a screen next to it turned on asking for a password.

Judy Hopps: (annoyed) Ugh! Is seriously?! Victor! What is the password?!

Victor: (fighting with Patrick now controlled by a hat) What?!!

Judy Hopps: The password!!

Victor: (still fighting) 5...7...9!....Let me go!...

Judy Hopps: Victor!

Victor: 3...5...4...8!...

Judy continued to enter the password as Victor continued to speak.

Victor: ...2...4! ...You got it?!

Judy Hopps: (smiling as the password was accepted) Done!!

Seeing that, Doris quickly got out of Sebastian's head and flew to stop Judy, but just when everything seemed lost, the antenna began to transmit the device's signal to every television, radio, and telephone in the city, which made a sound. similar to static, causing the hats to automatically begin to deactivate and fall from the animals' heads causing them to break out of their trance and feel dizzy.

Giraffe: (dizzy)...Augh! My head....

Mouse: (dizzy) ...Everything is spinning!...

Lion: (dizzy) ...What happened to me?...

Hippo: (dizzy)...Where am I?...

Duke Weaselton: ...Agh! What a strange dream!...Wait!...Why am I in the Sahara Square?

Meanwhile in the Bunnyburrow the others also got rid of the trance and stopped attacking their friends.

Ellie: (dizzy) Where...am I?

Sara: (hugs her) Ellie, you're fine!

Dr. Christopher: (concerned) We don't hurt them or we do?

Sam: (smiling) Don't worry, we're fine!

Thomas: (smiling) They did it! The boys did it!

Back on the roof of WolfTech's main headquarters, it was already dawn and Doris now lay on the ground looking at Judy for the last time, who returned her gaze with a smile and a frown before she shut down completely.

She the rabbit came down from the antenna and she met Nick who hugged her and congratulated her.

Judy Hopps: (running towards the fox) Nick!

Nick Wilde: (hugging her happily) Carrots! You did!

Judy Hopps: We all did it together, actually!

Victor: Good job guys!

Judy Hopps: (smiling) This wouldn't have been possible if you helped, Victor.

Sebastian Wolford: (dizzy) Where... where am I?...

Victor: (worried) Boss! Are you okay?

Sebastián Wolford: (dizzy) Yes... I think so... What happened?

Victor: (smiling and not knowing where to start) Well...it's a long story.

Finnick: (dizzy) ...What happened?!...We won?!...

Nick Wilde: (smiling) That's right little guy!

Finnick: (annoyed) Don't call me that!

Judy, Nick, and Victor just laughed as Patrick, Henry, Max, Isabella, and Dr. Cervus came to and hugged each other as well.

In a matter of months Zootopia returned to normality. The streets and buildings were repaired and WolfTech employees took it upon themselves to collect the hats and burn them.

Judy and Nick went back to work and continued to fight crime as usual, while their new friends reunited with their loved ones, now free from the hats' control.

One day Judy and Nick went to the Forest District restaurant, where Sam works, who was glad to see them and while she was serving them, her friends suddenly arrived.

Emma: (smiling) Hello, hello! He he.

Judy Hopps: Guys! What are you all doing here?

Max: what? We can't just stop by to say hello to our friends.

Sam: (interrupting) Well...actually I called them.

Nick Wilde: Really?

Sam: Yes! I asked Gerald to prepare something special for all of you, you know for saving the city.

Isabella: Good! Because I'm starving.

They all sat down and enjoyed their food and each other's company while rejoicing that Zootopia was once again safe from a great threat.

THE END

Notes:

There will soon be an alternate ending where Doris won but there will also be a sequel to this canon ending, where Judy and Nick face the consequences of the hats' brief reign.

Update:
There will also be a story based on the alternate bad ending with Jack Savage and Skie starring.

Chapter 10: Bad Ending

Summary:

This is a What if? of what would have happened if Judy, Nick and company failed to save Zootopia.

Chapter Text

This alternate ending begins right at the moment Nick fell off the antenna along with Sebastian Wolford and kept him busy to buy time.

Judy Hopps: (concerned) Nick!

Nick Wilde: (struggling) Carry on, Carrots! Do not stop!

Judy kept climbing, finally reaching near the tip of the antenna, opening the control panel and looking for some sort of USB port that matched the tip of Victor's control.

Victor:  ...2...Ahhh!

Judy: (horrified) Victor,!! No!!

The cheetah could not finish speaking because a hat managed to control it.

At the same time, Sebastian managed to knock Nick down and hold him long enough for a hat to control him as well.

Nick Wilde: (desperate) Carrots!! Ugh!!

Judy Hopps: (screaming with tears in her eyes) Nick!!

Judy was horrified to see that she was left alone suddenly a hat made her fall and before she could raise the hat she controlled it too.

Although the good hats tried to help, they were quickly defeated by the bad hats. While in the
Bunnyburrow, the survivors were eventually subdued and controlled as well.

With the passing of the months the city changed drastically. Zootopia has become a huge hat-controlled factory, where controlled animals are forced to work tirelessly mass-producing hats. The streets of the city are now lined with industrial machinery and the former natural areas and ecosystems have been destroyed and replaced with hat-shaped industrial structures.

Controlled animals, under the influence of the hats, are used as slave labor to manufacture the hats in large quantities. They are subjected to backbreaking and tireless work, with no voice or option to rebel. The hatters have established an oppressive system in which forced labor and hat production take place without regard for the welfare of the animals.

Subsequently these new hats are distributed to other cities through trains. Thus, other cities suffer the same fate as Zootopia and eventually the hats managed to dominate that world of anthropomorphic animals.

THE END

Chapter 11: The Arrival of DOR-15

Chapter Text

It all begins in the dystopian future of the Meet the Robinsons universe, when Lewis Robinson uses the time machine to travel to the past and prevent that future from existing.

Lewis: Take a good around Doris. Cause your future is about to change!

The boy automatically disappeared after a flash of light from his ship. Shocking Doris and the controlled Robinson family aboard the giant version of the hat.

Realizing that the future was beginning to return to normal, Doris quickly flew away to an area where humans on her orders had built a portal to travel through the multiverse. The bowler hat quickly activated it and entered, because now the simple fact of being in a different universe would allow her to continue to exist despite the death of her past self.

Doris deactivated after entering the portal and fell to the ground. When she turned on again she saw that she was now in a world of anthropomorphic animals, in a city called Zootopia. The hat flew through the city without being seen, arrived at the WolfTech headquarters and saw the owner of the company: a wolf named Sebastian Wolford, who was very intelligent and admired for his inventions, which made Doris decide to control him to take to carry out his plan to rule this other world. And the rest is history.
