Chapter Text
Radiant morning, peaceful afternoon, the clock said three in the afternoon with forty-five minutes. In a normal schedule, that would indicate that it was lunchtime, where adults return from work to take a break and have a snack, when parents pick up their children from school and where our protagonist decides to ignore the time and continue with his chores.
Roier was arranging the chests in his castle, from left to right, from minerals to materials, armor to tools, and from pure hearts to broken souls. It had been a few weeks since his son Bobby was taken to him beyond and although he looks and feels much better now, it still doesn't take away the feeling of nostalgia every day he wakes up in that empty castle of laughter and his signs.
He has already accepted it, he had his recovery time, so every time he comes across a sign, painting or a photo of his son, he no longer looks at her with sadness, but with longing for what he once was . A bitterly sweet feeling.
Life has given him many ups and downs. More downs than ups. Having to witness the death of his best friend and his son, feeling the blame for the death of 2 eggs of his friends, the betrayal of his past love and the kidnapping of his soul mate. Remembering that last one is still a stab to his heart but thank heavens that they were able to recover him and now they will be able to fulfill all their dreams together, because they will be together until death.
“Shit, I mixed the materials from the Oxxo with those from the fucking wedding.” He cursed in the air at his mistake. Thinking about the Brazilian always distracted him from his duties.
Their relationship started off on the wrong foot. With Bobby threatening him with his gun, his and Richarlyson's fights, it seemed unusual that one day they would end up in love. But everything happened so naturally that it seemed that the same island took them there to meet. Cellbit is not a normal person, having certain kinds of problems, his past, but Roier has his own too. When they needed someone the most, they had each other.
So those who were acquaintances ended in friendship, friendship turned into flirting, flirting into rapprochement, rapprochement into affection, and affection ended not only in love; but also in pure appreciation, adoration, mutual respect.
Those amaranths of so much meaning that the one with blue eyes gave him, continue to this day to decorate in every corner of his house, as well as in the Brazilian's garden. Even when they wither, Cellbit always brings another bouquet so he never forgets its message.
“Guapito, are you around here?” He heard in the upper part of the aforementioned basement. “Gatinho, I'm down here organizing!”
He heard the footsteps of his lover quickly going down the stairs. And he saw his figure pass through the painting that covered the entrance.
He stood up quickly from the ground, closing the chest to receive his partner.
“My Cellbo, honey, what brings you here?” Roier asks to approach Cellbit with open arms showing his intention.
Cellbit approaches and wraps his arms around the chestnut's waist to then give him a little kiss. “Não posso mais visitar meu noivo? Oh, minhas desculpas então, eu não sabia que você não queria me ver. (Can't I visit my boyfriend again? Oh, my apologies then, I didn't know that you didn't want to see me)” He turned his face away from him dramatically indignant, but still with his hands holding him.
Roier just laughed, grabbed the other's handsome face and kissed his nose. "I'm supposed to be the dramatic one, after all, I didn't forget to fix the window," he mocked. “Não foi minha culpa! Quackity le gusta salir por ellas.
(It wasn't my fault! Quackity likes to go through them)”
“Yes, yes, I can understand that very well. Yesterday he broke the windows of my Oxxo.” Remembered Roier, separating himself from the arms of others. “Now if you tell me gatinho, what brings you to these directions?”
Cellbit just gave him a look and Roier couldn't help but blush. That's the look, he feels like he can drown in it, how come a boy, as charming as Cellbit is, can look at him with those eyes? Full of love, devotion, he is very ashamed to know that he is the cause of the Brazilian's sighs.
Even if they were hugging a few seconds ago, the one with the white lock of hair approached him and delicately took his hand. And he stared at his ring finger, as if there was something there and kissed it gently. His lips touching his skin, he felt like heaven, as if the stars were falling and flying over them. As if the galaxies came together and formed a big bang, the inside of him could only feel pure love and his eyes could only see pink.
"Meu amor…" his lips moved from his hand to his shoulder.
“Minha vida…” he gave him another kiss and traveled to his neck.
“Minha esperança…” another kiss, now they were on his forehead “meu ser,” another on his ear “meu noivo,” on his nose.
"Meu futuro marido" they ended up on his lips connecting, many ways to explain the feeling. As if you plug a cable into the electricity point, as if you were savoring a five-star Michelin meal, as if you were on the most exciting roller coaster of all. But the correct way to describe the feeling every time they seal their lips, is like every time you get up on a Saturday morning.
Natural, calm, special and above all correct, as if they belong there, as if you wanted it to last forever.
As Cellbit separated, he connected Roier’s gaze with his. Roier felt his vision clouded by him, not because of tears but because of all the love he felt. The Brazilian gave him another kiss on his forehead, he smiled at him and said:
“I just came to wish you a nice afternoon, my guapito.”
To later steal another kiss and sigh from his mouth to leave that room of chests.
And Roier definitely felt that he fell back in love with his fiancé.
Notes:
Meu amor = my love, minha vida = my life, minha esperança = my hope, Meu futuro marido = my future husband <3

Chapter Text
It was one of those mornings. Those cloudy dawns, where the sun was covered, where the light is obstructed by the large amounts of clouds in the sky. Those fiery sunrises that fill the room with a humid sensation and deprive you of most of your view.
It was one of those mornings when Roier just didn't feel energetic.
It doesn't happen often. They started ever since Spreen betrayed him, stabbing not only his trust but his friendship as well. Since then he has had constant insomnia problems and his attitude was the opposite of positive. His body felt like a zombie, he worked but with his consciousness in the other world. He felt that people were talking to him but the only thing he heard was a horrible screeching in his ears, and words without brakes and phrases without oars came out of his mouth.
Little by little he was healing thanks to the arrival of Bobby, his son always asked for attention and thanks to that he was distracted from his true revenge plan. Sadly they returned when he passed away.
Now they are much worse. Before, he could work without problems even if he didn't feel present. But now he just stayed in bed looking at the ceiling without being able to move other than to go to the bathroom. He didn't even have the appetite to eat or the energy to take a bath. Again, those mornings were the ones he hated the most.
Unlike the previous time, when his friends visit him, instead of hurtful words or truths being thrown into the air, this time his mouth is kept shut. It is as if for one day, his body half entered a vegetable state.
The difference from that first time is that he did not have a certain person by his side.
“Roier, guapito, it's time to get up, can you do that for me, meu amor?” He asks as he slowly pulls the aforementioned arm. Subtly lifting him from his lying position.
Cellbit, his dear fiancé, has been enduring those mornings that Roier hates so much.
"Do you want me to carry you to the bathroom? Não tenho problema, I have no problem” he asks, although he knows that Roier might not even answer.
After a few seconds in silence, the one with the white hair lock takes the action of carrying him like a princess towards the bathroom. Once there, he lowers and places him in front of the toilet and as if it were a program, his body begins to lower his pants. Cellbit once he saw that he managed to complete that action he turned around.
“Você quer tomar banho? Do you want to take a bath? We walked a lot in that dungeon yesterday, I think it would do you good,” he said as he turned on the shower and began to fill the tub. “I'll put the water a little cooler because it's very hot outside.”
The Brazilian returned to Roier and patiently began to undress him, although he only had to remove his shirt.
"Mmh," the youngest complained.
“Eu sinto muito, I'm very sorry, but the water is going to be ready, yes, guapito?”
He quickly gave him a small kiss on the forehead and checked that the water temperature was as he wanted it. Once he obtained what he was looking for, he quickly took Roier to the tub and slowly sat him down in it.
Cellbit rolled up his shirt, with a garter he arranged his hair in a ponytail and with a small bucket he began to wet the hair of his lover.
He felt how the brunette began to tremble due to the sensation of the water falling from his hair to his back. "Calm down, calm down, you'll soon get used to it."
After a few seconds, he grabbed the shampoo and poured a reasonable amount into his hand before intertwining his fingers through the younger man's locks. Slowly and carefully so as not to hurt Roier. Cellbit smiled to himself as he began to hear small noises and murmurs coming from his lover.
He can feel the circular, vertical, horizontal movements and the water falling on him. He feels how Cellbit patiently washes his hair, how he affectionately grabs his arm to start carving it with the sponge, with love how he kisses his back once he rinses him to remove the soap, with devotion when he feels how he hugs him calmly with a towel to be able to dry him.
He feels the caresses of the clothes being put on him. He feels the kiss that is left behind on his nose. He can feel...
"Roier, I'm going to make breakfast. Do you want sincronizadas or chilaquiles? They are both your favorites…" he asked with a small smile, with a little hope that this would have some positive reaction from him. "Sincronizadas with orange juice then," he said when he saw that there was no reaction from Roier. After leaving his boy at the table, he started to go to the kitchen to make him breakfast.
Usually the person in charge of the kitchen was Roier. It took a few dates to realize that maybe Cellbit wasn't a good cook. He and Leonarda taught him most of the things, obviously the first dish he learned to make was a taco de tripa, but after that many other Mexican dishes were added to the menu of recipes learned by his fiancée.
How many men in the world learn to cook because their partner wants to see them learn their recipes? How many people are capable of taking care of their partner in their weakest state? And how many people can put up with a boyfriend who can't even take care of himself.
And yet, out of so few people who are willing to do that, there is Cellbit. Leaving in front of him a plate with 3 sincronizadas, arranged vertically, one mounted on the tip of the other. There's Cellbit, leaving some freshly squeezed orange juice strained so that no pulp seeps into the drink, along with a small metal drinking straw for the liquid to soak up.
There’s Cellbit lovingly clutching sincronizada, a damn sincronizada, to feed his worthless fiancée.
“Come on mozão, say aaaahh…”
How is it that this man can look at him with those eyes?
Those eyes full of love and respect, those eyes that he saw that day on the ship when he arrived, those eyes that shine every time he solves a puzzle or when he manages to decipher something new on the island, that for some reason those eyes shine 'I love you' ' every time he catches eyes with him.
He feels overwhelmed. But not in a bad way. He feels that he is drowning in a sea of love that he feels he doesn't deserve. Maybe he doesn't really feel that way on other days or maybe it's a thought he's always carried around with himself.
Why doesn't Cellbit leave even when he sees him on those days? He is not who he thinks he is. He is not like others think he is. He is not perfect, he is not a sun, he is not always happy. He is broken.
He feels a tear slip down his cheek and feels the second one coming out. When he least expected it, the drizzle turned into a deluge.
“Hey, hey, hey, guapito, Roier, meu amor. O que aconteceu? What happened?” asked Cellbit, a little scared. Quickly leaving the food on the plate and then using a handkerchief to start wiping the tears that came out of his love's eyes “Wasn't that what you wanted? Don't worry I can cook another-
"Cellbit..." he spoke with a broken voice. The one being called quickly fell silent upon hearing his name. It wasn't the first time that he took care of Roier in those mornings, but it was definitely the first time that he had heard him speak.
"Why-" he cut himself off. "W-why are you taking care of me?"
The Brazilian came out of his trance quickly.
"That's easy, because I love you," he answered confidently with a smile.
“But why? I-I'm broken Cellbit, I'm a broken person,” small sobs interrupted his sentence “why do you love a person who is as broken as me?”
"You're here taking care of me, a being that should be able to take care of itself, when you could easily be doing other, more productive things," he continued as he lowered his gaze. He could see his tears falling on the plate. You could be with Richarlyson, with Forever, with anyone else right now so why Cellbit? Why do you care and love someone broken?
More tears were coming down his face, he preferred to close his eyes to try to calm his emotions a bit but it only ended up causing his sobs to come out a little stronger.
"Roier, can you look at me please?" Cellbit asked him after a while in which only his small cries could be heard. Roier answered him by shaking his head.
He couldn't see him, he didn't have the courage to see him. He was afraid, afraid of seeing any change in his face or eyes after saying what he blurted out.
But he opened them with surprise as he felt his seat pushed back and someone held his hands in front of him.
Cellbit was in front of him, holding both of his hands.
“I love that broken person, Roier. I love every part of you. I love your smile, your simplicity, your follies, your shortcomings. All of that is what makes you guapito, everything. And you're not the only broken one…I'm broken too. But you are my other piece. You are my piece to heal, my companion piece, you are part of my life now Roier. You are my other half. We're getting married for a reason, right?
The Brazilian gave a small laugh after saying that and lovingly kissed those hands of his fiancée.
The Mexican could only laugh through his tears as well, he let go of that hand hold and got down from the chair to kneel as well until he was at the same height as the Brazilian.
"Yes, we're getting married for a reason," he said and then subtly grabbed the face of the bearded one and then planted a kiss on his lips.
Between laughter, short and long kisses spread around his face, those tears of sadness became sweet and warm. Little by little they disappeared from the face of the man in the blue bandana, who is now being carried and spun around in the common room by his fiancée, until they were no longer visible. Along with the clouds that covered the morning sun, welcoming the midday.
Reminding him again, why he fell in love with his gatinho.

Chapter 3: You brighten my soul
Chapter Text
"Cellbit, gatinho, vuelve acá, come back here!" shouted the boy in the Spiderman hoodie, chasing after his detective lover.
It was a day like any other. He was working in the city his son had entrusted to him before saying goodbye. Everything was calm until a couple of familiar heads peeked in to greet him.
His partner and his son approached him cheerfully and offered to help decorate his famous Coppel. The foundation was already in place; all that was missing was furnishing it to make it look like a real store.
Everything seemed to be going perfectly, with the couple tossing around ideas for what the shop could include. Though Roier kept rejecting some of Cellbit's suggestions, mainly because Cellbit had never seen a Coppel in his native country—unlike the Mexican, who had even experienced being repossessed over a product, though he preferred not to talk about it.
After a few minutes—well, two hours, actually—they set out to gather furniture, TVs, devices, and even decided to include some absurd intangibles like Melissa's phone number, and having Mexican fish keep you company for an hour, among other stuff.
It felt like a peaceful afternoon with family. Until his fiancé decided to prank him—not only taking the remaining materials needed to finally open the store, but, with Richarlyson's help, managing to throw a reasonable amount of paint at him, more than enough to make even a washing machine struggle. It was obvious that it would be a difficult task to get rid of the paint.
Because of this, and due to his highly competitive nature, he began chasing them all across Bobby's city. Laughter and shouts could be heard from miles away, but no islanders were worried—they all knew how loud that family could be.
"Vamos gatinho, Richas it will only be a small dot of paint, NO VA A SER MUCHO" the brown-haired one laughed as he held a bucket of red paint, ready to be launched at the white-streaked one.
He knew what his soon-to-be son and future husband were trying to do. Lately, while building the city, he'd been feeling a bit nostalgic, longing for the small moments he'd had with Bobby. And though he seemed a bit down, a smile never left his face.
He was sure his family—still unbelievable to him that he was forming such a loving family—had noticed his occasional lows. That's why today they were with him, helping him build, trying to make him laugh with whatever antics they could think of.
In the middle of the chase, Richarlyson tripped over a photo frame left on the ground, falling and pulling his dad down with him in the process. This made the Spiderman-hoodie guy stop abruptly, accidentally spilling the red paint on both of his companions.
"Nãoooo, agora eu vou ficar pintado assim por toda a eternidade. Vou virar um tomate, um tomate horrível e feio. I will end up as a tomato, a horrible tomato for all eternity. E você pai vai ser um tomate velho e vencido, and you pai will be an old and expired tomato" he exclaimed, dramatically faking his death on the ground while tossing extra paint upward, pretending it was tomato juice being squashed.
Cellbit laughed at his son's antics and played along.
"Ah, nãoooo, Guapito, meu amor, my love, mesmo com essa aparência, mesmo sendo um tomate velho e vencido, even with this appearance, even if I'm an old and expired tomato, você ainda amaria essa alma que está perdidamente apaixonada por você? Will you still love this soul that is entirely in love with you?" the Brazilian dramatized.
"You see? And then you say I'm the dramatic one," Roier replied, rolling his eyes. "Hmm, I don't know... what good is marrying you if you lose all your charm, your looks gatinho? Or should I say... tomatinho?"
He leaned toward his fiancé, teasing him without an ounce of shame.
"Você é mau, but I like it when you are bad" Cellbit flirted, using one arm to lift himself slightly and bring his face close to his beloved's.
Roier blushed for half a second. Cellbit's gaze revealed so much—emotions he thought he'd never feel again: happiness, love, passion. To fight back the nerves, Roier gently cupped his fiancé's face with both hands.
"Oh really? So you like bad boys, huh? Ihhh, you like Badboyhalo? El chico malo halo? We're not even married yet and you're already after someone else. Are you seeing your father, Richarlyson?" he teased, faking a gasp and chuckling softly. His playful attack was interrupted by a light kiss on the lips.
"Eu não gosto de bad boys, I don't like bad boys, eu gosto do Roier, I like Roier. Smiley Roier, Roier malo, physiologist Roier, tomato Roier, Roier vagabundo, I love all Roiers" Cellbit straightened up and gently rested his forehead against Roier's. The one with the bandana went silent, while Richarlyson's small giggles could be heard in the background as he tried to stand up without getting more paint on himself.
Roier's thoughts wandered. He replayed moments of his life, wondering what good thing he must have done to deserve someone like Cellbit. Maybe it was the universe's way of healing his worn-out heart after so much tragedy. He hated this island—it had given him plenty of reasons to—but thanks to this island, thanks to the detour of that Brazilian ship, he got to meet what might be the love of his life.
A lump formed in his throat from the sheer weight of emotion. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't afraid of losing him. But right then—in that exact moment—all he could feel was the warmth of the white-streaked boy beside him. The gentle way his hand rested on Roier's. The tenderness in the touch of their foreheads. The faint tingle on his lips after the kiss. All he could feel was happiness.
After what felt like forever, heart racing, he closed his eyes. A light smile formed on his face, and without raising his voice, the one in the red hoodie asked,
"And tell me, which Roier is your favorite?"
Without hesitation, he replied:
"The Roier I'll soon be calling... Roier, my husband."
Ah shit. I fell in love again.
