Chapter Text
It was a normal day so far, and Banjex was chewing some odd gum he found laying around. He blew a bubble, easily entertained by the blue color of the gum. He laughed a bit after blowing more bubbles, not noticing his face beginning to turn blue.
Bamburai approached curiously upon hearing his laughter, and froze seeing the blue spread on his body.
"..Banjex? What the fuck is happening to you?" He only blinked at the question, too high and giggly to properly respond.
"Answer me, Banjex." He gripped his katana, and he flinched in response.
"..What..do you mean 'What the fuck is happening to me'?"
"You're turning blue!" He blinked at the response, the gears turning in his brain very slowly. They were turning slow enough, that the blue spread to his entire body and his stomach gurgled.
Bamburai flinched back at that, looking more nervous. Eventually the gears managed to turn in his head, and his eyes widened. He promptly spat out the gum, looking scared as his stomach gurgled again.
"..Bamburai help.."
"I can't without causing a mess, forgive me.." He whimpered a bit, feeling the juice beginning to fill him already. Bamburai backed off, knowing what was going to happen.
A few minutes later, and Banjex was fully inflated by now. Bamburai was awkwardly pressed against the wall, trying his hardest to not bump into him in fear it'd cause him to burst.
"..Are you okay?" No response from the blue orb. He couldn't tell if he was just too large to be heard or if he was too zoned out to have heard him. He sighed a bit, deciding to sit on the floor as he thought about what to do about this.
He looked up at Banjex's stomach again, seriously debating if slashing him would fix the situation.
"..Banjex, should I try slashing you?" No response for a small while, before Bamburai barely saw a nod from him.
"This is going to cause a mess.." He mumbled, gripping his katana as he stood back up.
He soon slashed the high god, causing a yelp to come from both of them as he got covered in juice and blood. Banjex was quietly whimpering, his organs spilled on the ground.
"I'll go get some bandages, don't worry you'll be back together soon." A few minutes later alongside some bandages, and he was back together like Bamburai said. The samurai seemed to blink a lot, staring at him.
"..What's up, why are you lookin' at me funny?" He didn't know what to say, staring at the older high god silently. Either Banjex's smoke was starting to get to him and warp his mind, or the cultivation god suddenly gained weight. He inhaled after a moment, deciding to ask.
"..Did you..get heavier..?" He somewhat awkwardly asked, causing Banjex to just blink slowly at him.
"..What?" Bamburai gestured at him a bit, and he looked down at himself. He then realized why the samurai asked, noticing he was significantly more overweight.
"..What happened to me?"
"No idea, maybe that gum you were eating had that as a extra side effect for whatever reason." He shrugged in response, his tail wagging.
"Eh, I don't mind it if it is a side effect." His stomach then grumbled, and he looked at it.
"..I don't think I ate the entire time that happened."
"I'll go get you some food, stay here because I don't want you to empty the fridge." He nodded, not knowing if he could even get up at the moment.
Not like he really wanted to, his body hurt a lot from being slashed.
He realized a bit too late he was starting to fall asleep, ending up yawning and falling asleep sitting up. Bamburai came back with some food, and paused seeing Banjex asleep. He smiled after a moment, shaking his head as he picked him up and took him to a bed gently.
