Chapter 1: Once upon a time, there's a purple rose and a man who desperate for affection.
Chapter Text
“I love you.”
It was merely a slip of a tongue.
Yet even so, Lisa hasn't moved an inch. Her eyes still staring straight at the full moon while she takes a sip of her wine. There was only silence as Kaeya waited for his response with cold feet. Even with the laugh from angel’s share in the background feels like they’re laughing at his own foolery and recklessness.
It was just a few seconds of silence yet it feels like death. “I-” Perhaps explaining it would be a much better salvation rather than jumping from the balcony. But before he could finish it, Lisa finally filled the gap of painful silence.
“I know.”
The beating of his heart slowly calmed down, but the scorching red on his face still stayed. Again, there’s another silence. Again, Lisa seemingly still unwilling to face him. But no longer clouded with his own embarrassment, he was capable of seeing how it seems she was deep in thought. How she was practically gripping her glass. How the gentle movement of her hair is not just because of the breeze but also because of how she’s visibly shaking.
Ah.
Ah…
It was never his intention to burden her with his feelings.
Regret feels like a heavy stone in the pit of his stomach. He wanted to say something, that there’s no need for her to think about it, that she would just take it more like a joke just like any other playful flirtatious banter he would give to her. But with how hard she was in his mind, he doesn't think he has the guts to open his mouth again. He was scared of rejection. He was scared to be left alone again.
Curse the alcohol in his blood.
“Dear me…” Her voice was gentle as she reached for his face. Her hand slowly trying to guide the man to look at her who was finally staring back at him. A painful smile planted on her face, causing another wrench against his heart. Lisa, who quickly realizes how much pain that Kaeya swallows right now, gave him a small gentle chuckle before she added, “Never thought our beloved cavalry captain would have this kind of expression.”
It was enough to melt Kaeya a little bit as he leaned against her touch. To have his hand holding hers cupping his cheek. To feel hers burn against him as if this is going to be the last time for them to be intimate. He closed his eyes, refusing to look at the woman who was always able to read all his lies as time passed. Lisa can only give him a gentle smile before having her other hand reaching him again, to make him look down, straight to her eyes, where that beautiful light blue can meet with her green’s.
“The more you love me, the more you will hate the world,” She whispered oh so so softly, like a gentle bell that was being carried by the wind. It was quite a contrast with how heavy her words are. It feels fragile. It feels like she would break at any moment. Yet she took a deep breath before she continued, “And as a woman who loves you, I didn't want that terrible future for you.”
Kaeya frowned, his intoxicated brain trying to put everything together yet he found any answer that would ever make sense and Lisa knew how it definitely would be confusing for the cavalry captain, yet she didn’t say anything.
“It’s time to go home for you, Mr. Alberich.”
Chapter 2: He adore her voice.
Chapter Text
Despite how horribly overworked Jean can be, it is surprisingly rare for her to get sick. However when she did, it was something she could never ignore to the point she’s unable to wake up from her bed. And when that happens, when Grand Master Varka is still in his never-ending long expedition, Kaeya is the one who will be responsible and staying at the Grand Master’s office rather than at the tavern like how one would often try to find him.
Knowing how he is, a desk job is never truly his forte. Sure he manages to pull it off, but it still drains his energy more than running around trying to find information by fooling, deceiving and gossiping with people. When the sun had finally set and the night had gone late, he was still staying at the office, being way too exhausted to immediately go back home or even enjoying his free time drinking, he decided to lay down on the couch in attempt to recharge his energy back while reading a few last papers he need to check on.
“How surprising, our dear Acting Acting Grand Master is still here…” A familiar voice fills the room after a few seconds of the door being open. Kaeya sat up, seeing Lisa walking towards him with a little teasing smirk. “Don’t call me that.” He replied with a huff, causing the Librarian to give a small hearty chuckle.
“Sometimes I wonder if the title of Grand Master is cursing anybody to end up having the office as their home.” Lisa mused as she took the empty seat on the couch with Kaeya. She gently tapped her lap as she looked at Kaeya, a silent sign to tell him to lay down on her lap. “It’ll be troublesome if our Acting Acting Grand Master also gets sick because overworked, right?”
“Oh?” A faint smirk grew on the edge of Kaeya lips, “Is this how, the ever so efficient Librarian of the Knight of Favonius, trying to avoid any future works?” After all, if he got sick, who going to bear the title of Acting Grand Master except Lisa?
“The Cavalry Captain is extremely sharp as always…” Lisa chuckled as she slowly guided Kaeya to lay on her laps. The man himself didn’t protest, instead letting his body be pulled down so gently and having the papers he was holding being taken by her so she could start to read the content for him.
Her voice is suggestive and that's a fact that one unable to ignore. Kaeya never though he would ever want to be possessive towards someone to the point he would wish Lisa would only speak to him, but that would definitely stupid since he was quite aware he have the same way of talking. However, her voice is extremely gentle, sometimes whatever kind of words she spoke will sound like a warm blanket of lullaby.
Listening to her talking is the only reason why Kaeya didn’t get up so he would be able to kiss her lips at this moment.
Chapter 3: For him her soft lips taste more sweeter than any fruits he had ever taste.
Chapter Text
“Why does it smell so sweet over here??”
“Oh my,” Lisa reached for her cheek, a little bit embarrassed and surprised. She immediately try to grab something from the drawer of her table, pulling out a small glass jar that looks air-tight. “Is the smell that strong? Sucrose was trying something new by applying makeup. It is actually quite nice to use, though the scent is quite sweet.” She opens the lid, the scent is indeed strong, thought not sickening. She took a small dollop with her fingers before waving her hand, telling Kaeya to come closer so she could put them on. “It’s good to hydrate your lips, especially with the cold air lately.”
Kaeya only stares at the cream for a while before leaning down again, but rather than letting her apply the cream, he reaches for her face, to take another kiss from her lips.
“This one is more convenient, isn't it?” He whispered between their kisses and only replied with a chuckle before Lisa pulled him for more.
In her defense, she’s trying to prevent Kaeya’s lips from getting torn.
Chapter 4: The sun for his moon
Chapter Text
Despite how much she loves to sleep, surprisingly Lisa is a morning person. Perhaps it’s because of how often she took a nap and how she tries to do as little as possible to exert her body when working so she still has so much energy to charge up when she goes to sleep. Kaeya on the other hand is someone who often worked until morning, would wake up when the sun had shone so brightly that even a cascading white satin of Lisa’s curtain wouldn’t be enough to protect his eyelids from getting a kiss by Helios forcibly waking him up.
A gentle finger gently ran against Keaya’s skin before her hand later cupped his cheek. She could feel the coldness against her warm skin that would always give her a little shiver on her back every morning whenever she got her chance. She could hear how Kaeya changed his breath, a small sign as he’s going to wake up before it went back to being soft and light, driving back to his dream. Him being such a light sleeper often gave Lisa so much trouble whenever the man would pay her place a visit.
She tucked a few strands of Kaeya’s hair that had been covering his face before having herself to carefully examine the face that had laid beside her pillow. How contrasting the colour of her hand against his cheek, how she thought it wouldn’t be so bad for him to drop that playful smirk of his that she never found endearing as she was quite aware that it was nothing but to cover his own pain by playing tough…
Yet who is she to tell him to stop?
She let out a small sigh before leaning closer to plant a gentle kiss against Kaeya’s forehead and that was enough to make the man shift in his sleep. Half lidded eyes were enough for him to soon realize what was happening.
“Sorry, did I wake you up?”
Kaeya only gives her a reply with incoherent murmur, still being extremely exhausted, sleepy and unwilling to wake up just yet, he pulls Lisa into his arm, having her familiar warmth and scent that he always loves in the morning being the lullaby for him to go back to sleep.
Perhaps taking another few hours of sleep wouldn’t be that bad.
Chapter 5: He always wish her warm touch will burn against his skin, where he will always feels her body despite being away.
Chapter Text
Blue eyes never once leave the sight of thousands of droplets that fall from the sky through the glass of his window. He can only be thankful he doesn’t need to be outside at this moment and rather enjoying himself being dry and warm with a blanket wrapping his body. Facing a Cryo Abyss Mage would be the death of him.
A scent of sweet wine soon wafted from the kitchen and he buried his face more into his blanket until he saw Lisa walking into the living room with two glasses of mulled wine in her hands. She soon handed one to Kaeya who had unwrapped his blanket so Lisa could sit between his legs together on the couch and watch the rain together.
“Careful, it’s hot,” She warned softly, but it was a little too late as Kaeya was already sticking his tongue out in pain which caused the purple witch to let out a small laugh. “Aren’t you my adorable little cat?” She teased as she leaned closer, “Let me kiss it better for you…”
She opened her mouth before giving a small kitten lick on Kaeya’s burned tongue before giving him a deep kiss. When She pulled away, she chuckled as Kaeya later leaned against her neck, leaving small little kisses on her skin. Soon he put his glass down as he pushed Lisa down on the couch, planning to let the wine less
