Chapter Text
It’s hard to imagine spending an entire Saturday in detention. Especially with people who practically have nothing in common. But what kind of things did they do that was so bad?

“I can’t believe this…” Vil said, unable to believe he had gotten into detention. Right now, he and Rook were walking to the Library, where detention was being held. “Well, going out of campus for a photo shoot without permission from the headmaster is breaking the rules, non?” Rook stated, having his usual smile. Vil just sighed. His manager had called him at such a random time and practically didn’t have time. ‘I was lucky enough no one ever had a video or anything or my reputation would go down completely…’ Once they reached the Library
Vil went and entered, waving bye to Rook.
“Mom-… I know, it won’t happen again… we-… we don’t study, we just sit there and do nothing…” Riddle was on the phone. The headmaster had contacted his mother about him. He sighed and hung up the phone when his mother was finished. She always pushed him into studying and made sure he always got good grades. After he hung up, he entered the Library.
Leona, well, he just went to the library.
Jack had left after Leona due to his dad asking him about what had happened and ended up getting scolded.
While Floyd was leaving the dorm, he had tried to tell Azul and Jade something but they just ignored him and told him they were a bit busy. He just went straight to the Library, considering no one was really in the hallway. Making him the last to arrive.
After everyone had arrived and sat down, Professor Trien had walked in a minute later. With papers and pencils in hand.
“I assume you all know why you are here.” He said in a stern voice. Everyone just stayed quiet and looked at him. It was quiet for a few moments before a certain blonde broke it.
“Excuse me… Sir, I think there’s been a mistake.” Vil said. “I know, it’s detention, but I don’t think I belong here.” He continued.
Trien had looked at him, then at the clock. “It is 7:06, which means all of you have exactly 8 hours and 54 minutes to think about why you are here.” He replied. Vil had just looked at him and looked down.
“You may not talk.” Trien continued. Riddle moved his stuff to switch to the middle seat of the table before Trien had said, “You will not move from these seats.” Riddle looked at him for a moment before moving back.
Trien then went to where Leona was sitting. His feet were on another chair while, seeming like he might take a nap. He took the chair and moved it. “You will not sleep.” Leona just looked at him, annoyed.
“We’re gonna try something different.” Trien said, now passing the papers and pencils. “I want you to write an entire essay of no less than 1,000 words.” The first person he gave it to was Floyd who was facing sideways and turned to face Trien when the paper and pencil was put on his desk.
“Describe to me who you think you are in your own words.” He continued to pass it to the other students. “Will this be for a grade?” Riddle asked. Trien looked at him. “No.” He answered. Riddle just nodded and shifted a bit. “When I say essay, I mean essay.” He finished giving out the paper. “Not just a word written 1,000 times.” He then looked over to Leona. “Am I clear, Mr.Kingscholar?”
Leona put his legs on the table. “Very.” He replied “Good.” Trien looked at the students in front of him. “The door is always open. I will be sitting outside in the office. Any questions?” Everyone was quiet before Leona began to speak. “I do, does Ambrose know you raid his wardrobe?”
Everyone started to smile a bit, holding back their laughs.
“Maybe you’ll find your answer next Saturday, Mr.Kingscholar.” He replied. Leona stopped smiling and just stared at him. Trien then left the room and sat down in the office outside the library.
After Trien left, it was silent. But after a few seconds, everyone heard a loud noise. They all turned to where Floyd had been sitting. He was still facing the same way he did when he came in. He was chewing on the pencil a bit with a few pieces of the pencil on the table.
He noticed everyone was staring at him and stopped for a moment before biting again.
“If you keep eating that pencil, you won’t have room for lunch.” Leona commented. Floyd just looked at him and spit out the piece that was in his mouth, annoyed.
They all looked away and just continued to be silent.
Riddle then began to whisper to himself. “Who you think you are… who are you…” he began to look up, holding his pencil to his face. Leona began to stare at him. “Who are you… I’m a walrus…” He had his pencil in his mouth and mimicked a walrus. He then noticed Leona was looking and put the pencil down, feeling embarrassed.
Leona just rolled his eyes, and put his feet down. He began to face forward and he and riddle began to do the same movement. Both Riddle and Leona noticed and Riddle just began to get annoyed and just went to the position he was going to do. Leona just stared. Riddle then stared back annoyed and motioned for Leona to stop. Leona laid back in his seat and stopped staring.
Leona began to stare at Vil. He crumpled up his paper and threw it in between Vil and Jack. They both noticed and began to be visibly annoyed. They both stared at Leona and back at their paper.
Leona’s eyes then began to wander around the room. He the began to blurt something out loud. “Oh shit. What if we gotta take a piss?” Everyone sighed in annoyance. “If you gotta go you gotta go.” Vil and Jack turned to him and Vil quickly turned away. “I can’t believe this is happening to me…” he said to himself.
“You're not gonna urinate in here.” Jack said. “Shut up, it makes it crawl back up.” Leona said. “Whip it out and you're dead before the first drop hits the floor.” Jack said, staring at Leona.
Leona just looked at him. “You look pretty when you get angry.” Leona said, sarcastically. Jack just growled at him before turning away. Leona smirked.
“Hey, red head.” Riddle just turned to him annoyed. “Why don’t you close that door and maybe we can play a few games with the prom king.” Leona said, looking at Vil. “Oh shut up.” Jack said. “No one here is interested in what you have to say or do.” Vil continued.
The two began to go back into what they would want to do with their paper. “So, what did you two do to get in here?” Leona asked. The two just ignored him. Floyd was just watching the three.
“Are you guys, like, lovers?” Leona asked. They continued to ignore him. “Steady dates?” He continued. “Had sex?” They both turned around and yelled. “Fuck off!” “Go to hell!” Leona smirked.
“Hey! Do I need to go in there?!” Trien yelled from the office. The rest continued to sit quietly after.
This was gonna be a rough time for the five of them.
Notes:

Chapter Text
After a few minutes of silence Leona began to stand up.
“How about we close that door? I mean, with Trien trying to check on us every few seconds, it’s gonna be hard to have some peace in here.” Leona said.
“The door is supposed to stay open. We can’t break the rules.” Riddle stated. Leona stared at him. “Yeah, you would know a lot about that. But yet here you are.” He smirked. Riddle stared at him before looking away.
Riddle was practically almost embarrassed and disappointed in himself. He was supposed to set a good example as Housewarden. But now he’s in detention, a place for troublemakers and rule breakers.
“Stop trying to make everyone uncomfortable.” Vil said. Leona was now looking at him. “And?” He replied. “And just shut up.” Vil was beginning to get irritated just by being in the same room as him. “Y’know, you act very differently than how you do in your little shows.” Leona stated. Vil looked at him.
“Like you would know anything about that. You just sleep all day without a care.” Vil replied to him.
Floyd had turned around to try and listen more to the conversation. Or, it was more of bickering.
“Well then maybe I might as well join the Film studies club.” Leona said, now sitting on the railing of the ramp in the library.
Leona then looked at Jack. “Maybe even track, too.” “Like they would take you in.” Jack said. “Wow, I am hurt.” Leona said, putting a hand on his chest. “You know why people like you kick everything.” “This should be good…” The two continued to go back and forth. “It’s ‘cause you're afraid.”
“Oh, Sevens! You track athletes are so smart, that’s exactly why I’m not in any of those activities.” Leona says sarcastically. “You’re a coward.” Jack continued. “He’s right.” Riddle agreed. They all looked at him. “You’re afraid that they won’t take you. You don’t belong so you have to dump all over it.” Riddle stated.
“Well, it wouldn’t have anything to do with you activities people being assholes, would it?” Leona said, staring straight at Riddle. Riddle became silent. Leona faintly smirked, but stopped when Vil began to speak again. “It’s not like you would even know that, you barely even know us.” He said. “I mean, not like I know any leapers either, but I ain’t gonna join any of their fucking clubs.” Leona shot back. Vil felt like he was gonna burst but kept the same face.
Riddle then decided to speak up a bit. “I’m in the equestrian club…” Everyone looked at him. “Excuse me?” Leona said. One minute he had been talking about how he didn’t belong and now he’s talking about his club? “I just said I’m in the Equestrian club.” Riddle gulped a bit. Leona then looked at Vil. “You belong in that Club?” Leona said. “That’s a sports club.” Vil answered back. “And?” “And that’s different from other clubs…” Vil answered.
“What’s different about them?” Leona asked. “Well, for one thing, sports clubs do stuff like tournaments and they have to get in a lot of energy and for other clubs, they don’t necessarily need all of that.” Leona just stared at him as Vil explained. “Ok…You, what do you do in your club?” Leona asked Riddle.
“Well, we would talk about how to improve on certain skills, help each other with the horses, and we would-“ Riddle got interrupted by Leona, which annoyed him since he never liked being interrupted. “So, it’s social. A bit pathetic and sad, but social.” Leona said, kind of , but also not necessarily trying, respectfully.
“Have any sort of party or anything? I mean, usually when my club wins or something, we normally have a sort of banquet.” Jack said, bumping into the conversation. “Yeah, you get loaded up? Have a nice meal?” Leona questioned. Riddle looked at him, looking as though he wanted to just leave. “We don’t get high. It’s against the rules.” “Only burners like you would break that sort of rule.” Vil looked at him.
“Guys, if we keep this up, Trein is sure gonna come in here. I ain’t gonna try and miss a meet I got next Saturday.” Jack said, now being quiet. “Isn’t that splendid.” Leona replied. “Oh, I'm gonna miss a track meeting.” He said in fake agony. “You wouldn’t even know anything about it.” Jack said, sternly. “Yeah, cause I have such an admiration to be running around like I’m being chased by a bunch of wild beasts.” Leona answered, pretending to be hurt.
“Like you even have any goals.” Jack said. “Oh but I do. I wanna be just like you. All I need is a Jersey shirt and some short shorts.” Leona replied. Vil chuckled a bit and Floyd had a small smile. “They're not short shorts. They’re just the required uniform.” Jack stated. “So, short shorts?” Riddle asked. Jack just gave him a look. “Shut it.”
They then heard Professor Trein move away from his office. Leona got off the railing and began to head toward the door, and everyone was looking at him. “Hey, professor said no funny business!” Jack yelled. “Have you finished your paper, young man?” Leona yelled back.
He approached the Library door and began to unscrew one of the screws on the door and it closed immediately with a loud bang which annoyed him since he didn’t like loud noises a lot. “Housewarden, that’s school property. It don’t belong to us.” Jack stated. He (Leona) then came back and sat where he had a before.
“You better fix it before we get in trouble.” Jack said, looking at him. “What am I, a genius? I can’t fix that.” He replied. “I am not gonna get in trouble again because of you breaking a rule, fix it.” Riddle said. “Just shut up!” Leona yelled.
Trein had been coming back from where he had went and heard the three through the, now, closed door. “I know what I’m doing!” “No, you don’t! Go up there and fix the door!” Trein leaned closer to see hear what they were saying and realized they closed the door. “Can’t you just shut your mouth!” Trein had opened the door and went inside.
“Great Seven-“ He then entered the library and went in the front middle of the room. “Why is that door closed?!” He asked. Everyone began to be silent. “How would we know, we’re not supposed to move right?” Leona answered. Trein looked at Vil. “Why’s the door closed?” He asked. Vil was silent for a moment. “We’re just following what you had said.” He looked at him for a few moments before Trein moved his gaze. He was now looking at Leona. “Why’s the door closed.” This time, it hadn’t sound like a question. “Maybe a screw fell out…” He replied.
“It just closed, professor…” Jack said. Trein then looks at Floyd. “Who?” Floyd just then looks around the room and puts his head down. “He doesn’t talk, professor…” Leona said. He then walks toward him. “Give me the screw.” He says, sternly. “I don’t have it…” He replied, putting his hands up. “I’m sorry for bumping in, but why would anyone steal a screw?” Vil said, turning to face Trein.
“Watch it.” Trein said. Vil almost felt offended. He then went back to Leona. “You’re not fooling anyone, Kingscholar. The next screw that’s gonna fall is you.” Trein said, pointing at Leona. Leona had just rolled his eyes and muttered something. “Excuse me? Would you mind speaking up?” Trein said. “Eat. My. Shorts.” Leona said louder. “You just earned yourself another Saturday.” He said, sternly. “Oh, I’m hurt…” He said sarcastically. “You just earned another.” “Well, the next one I’m free but beyond that, I’m gonna have to check my calendar!” The two kept going back and forth.
“Good, cause it’s gonna be filled. You want another one? Just say the word. Are you through?” Leona hesitated before replying. “No.” “I’m doing society a favor.” “So?” “There, another one! You want more?” “Yeah.” “Great, cause I’ve got you until you graduate!”
“Cut it out!” Vil yelled. Leona looked at him. ‘Stop’ Vil had mouthed to him. “You through now?” Trein asked. Leona looked at him. He stayed silent. “I’ve got you for two months, Kingscholar.” Trein held up two fingers before leaving. As he left the library, Leona yelled loudly. “Fuck you!”
Trein's eyes closed as he took a deep breath. He then went back to his office.
There had been awkward silence after that interaction. After a bit, everyone had started to do their own thing, no one bothering anyone.
