Barbie :you know ken,ive been thinking about going back to school for a while,to start a career.

Ken:nonsense Barbie,you signed a contract made by father ,you are to stay home,be bred by me and then have my children.

Barbie : but ken,i signed that contract when i was 15, surely it cant count?

ken:do you really want to make me angry barbie?after what happened last time?

barbie:no sir,im so sorry ken

ken:and either way,your father signed it aswell.

ken:do you really want to leave me that badly barbie?

barbie :of course not ken,i was just thinking- 

ken:ill kill myself if you leave me barbie,i cant deal with this without you

barbie:..............

ken: you dont want that right ?right barbie?

barbie:NO!of course not ,i love you ken but-

ken:exactly.

ken:you dont want that,because you do love me ,right my love?

barbie:.....yes darling i love you

ken:i love you to barbs,now get to bed.

*barbie lingers for a minute*

ken:NOW

ken:you know i dont like to wait barbie.

barbie:yes love,ill get the bedroom ready 

ken :good.youve been bad today ,you know that barbie?

ken:you caused this on yourself.

ken:this is all you ,im basically your victim

ken:you try so hard to beat me down and invalidate my opinions,to turn all our family and friends on my needlessly.

ken:i treat you so well,dont you ever hear the stories of husbands that beat and even kill their wives for no reason?

ken :id never hurt you if it wasnt for your own good,you know that right?

barbie :yes ken , i know

*two week later*

Barbie knew she should leave.

All her friends have been saying it for months,even Raquelle had said it by now
but ken was the man of her dreams since she was a little girl .
The man her mother wanted her to be with.
a man like her father,
and her mothers father,
and probably his mothers father aswell
the type of man that could allow her to dream of white picket fences and D.I.Y swingsets for her future children .

And really ,ken wasnt that bad most days
Barbie could deal with a bad day at work every now and again
it wasnt that bad
even though it was better before .
before he knew of her and her dreams

she had wanted to move to to L.A with her friends to enjoy her teen years and twenties with the girls she had grown up with.
she had wanted to go to fashion school and get a job of her own
but now she knows that wont happen
not unless she leaves
and she cant leave
without ken ,barbie has nothing
no family,no money ,no life

Barbies family would never stand for it
for barbie to leave
it would mean leaving behind her family
more importantly her sisters
her sisters who would have the same fate as she
be married to the same type of man
be subjected to the same abuse
barbie knew her sisters better then their parents ever could
she knew that they would never survive this
