Hanahaki disease is the cliché romantic way to die. Some call it the real proof of true love, while others call it the bloody nightmare of not being loved. Anyway, anyone suffering from this disease has four ways to save themselves. First, fall out of love; second, fall in love with another person; third, undergo surgery that will never allow you to love again; and the last and most difficult thing, to be reciprocated by your crush. Also, not everyone has Hanahaki disease. The candidates for it are extremely romantic people who literally dream of having a relationship like the one exhibited in the most romantic cliché movies. When those kinds of people fall in love, they give their hearts without thinking and feel like living only for their lovers. Therefore, the disease will appear quickly when they are rejected, having only five months to live. In most cases, the damned poor accept their fate and die. Data from Hanahaki victims has shown that most contract the disease because their crushes are in love with or dating other people. So most of the victims never confess their feelings for their crushes. That is such a sad death; however, the second reason for contracting the disease is the breakup of the relationship. Their hearts still in love with their partners cannot resist the sadness and heartbreak after their partners broke up with them. The third reason for contracting Hanahaki disease is—

Seobin closes the web page he was reading. He takes a deep breath and massages his temple. He doesn't know what to do. The man goes to his kitchen and starts making some food. In the middle of the kitchen, he begins to sob. How many times has he cried this year? Too many that he can't remember very well. Suddenly, Seobin stops sobbing to cough. His throat aches and his lungs scream for help. Seobin vomits up three sunflower petals. Seobin cries again. At night, Seobin is in his bed cuddling his elephant stuffed animal while he watches an old romantic movie. He can't help but wish he were in a cheesy relationship like the one in the movie where prince charming is willing to do anything to keep him happy. Seobin wants to feel loved again. He inadvertently falls asleep as he envies all the couples who are spending the night together. At 4:03, his cell phone rings, and Seobin curses himself for not putting it on silent. He is too tired to be awake at this hour. Before he can answer, Seobin coughs again but this time it's worse. The man ends up with a red face and teary eyes and next to him multiple sunflower petals. The mobile stopped ringing a while ago. Seobin closes his eyes, praying to go back to sleep, but his cell phone interrupts him again. Seobin gets angry. He answers the cell phone without checking who is calling, and there the voice of his boyfriend sounds.

Jiwoong doesn't say hello; he immediately goes on and on about his amazing day and how much fun he and his members had. Seobin pays him no mind, instead closing his eyes and responding with a simple “hmm”. Jiwoong doesn't notice the disrespectful behavior of his boyfriend. After a couple of minutes, Jiwoong notices that Seobin is sleeping. He giggles and hangs up. The next day, Seobin is throwing up in the toilet. He is so tired that he really wants to die already. Seobin looks in the mirror and can see that he has lost a lot of weight and his eyes are puffy. He wants to hit the mirror. After uploading some photos to IG, Seobin decides to do the shopping. At the supermarket, he sees a lady selling flowers. He smiles wistfully as he remembers when Jiwoong used to give him a bouquet of sunflowers on every date they went on. Now, the only one who gives him flowers is himself because of his illness. At home, Seobin rereads the hospital brochure; he reads about the surgery to cure him of Hanahaki disease. He has had this booklet for over three months and still doesn't know what to do. He really tried to fall out of love with Jiwoong, but his stubborn heart wouldn't obey. He thought about falling in love with someone else, but he immediately dismissed it. The only choice left for him is surgery...or Jiwoong loving him. Ironic! He is dating the boy he loves, but the fact that Seobin doesn't feel loved by him is slowly killing him. Seobin sheds a few tears and muffles his screams into the pillow. At 3 am, Seobin vomits blood and sunflower petals. He feels so weak that he passes out in his bathroom. When Seobin wakes up, he has a fever. He is so weak that he stays on the floor for another hour. He has to stand up because his cell phone rings and rings and makes Seobin's headache worse. He sees that the person he is calling is his boyfriend and he immediately vomits blood and petals on the mattress again. Seobin cries and turns off his cell phone. He can't go on like this. He doesn't want to continue living like this.

Seobin crawls to his door as he coughs and feels his throat close up. He opens his door and spending the last of his energy he yells for help. His neighbor hears his cry for help and immediately holds Seobin, who has passed out again. The ambulance arrives after 5 minutes. The doctor and nurses take Seobin to the ICU and find out what the problem is. Hanahaki disease has invaded his lungs by 88% percent. Seobin is extremely in danger of dying. Unfortunately, the doctors can't perform an operation on Seobin because they need the permission of the patient or his family. The doctors try to contact Seobin's parents but are unsuccessful. So, they decide to call his emergency contact.

The nurse who notices Jiwoong's presence almost screams like a fan but manages to control herself. She takes Jiwoong to Seobin's room where the doctor is. Jiwoong bows and immediately grabs Seobin's hand. The poor boyfriend of his seems so sick. The doctor explains everything to Jiwoong and the man is very confused. How did Seobin develop Hanahaki disease if he is dating him? The doctor asks Jiwoong if he can contact the patient's parents. The idol nods and the doctor and the nurse leave the room to go and analyze some medical tests they did on him. Jiwoong sits on the seat next to the bed. He can't comprehend what is happening. Seobin has Hanahaki disease; he is dying... Seobin is dying of love. Jiwoong frowns and looks at his boyfriend judgingly. - I do love you, so you're not dying because of me... who... who did you fall in love with? Who is the person who does not correspond to your love? Why did you fall out of love with me?! Am I not enough for you anymore?! Am I not attractive to you?! Am I not —

Jiwoong looks down and sees Seobin still with his eyes closed, but it's obvious he's awake. Jiwoong doesn't know what to do. He feels betrayed by Seobin, who has stopped loving him. Seobin senses that Jiwoong is upset, so he weakly tries to interlock his hands; however, he begins to cough up blood and sunflower petals. Jiwoong worries and pats Seobin's back.

- Do you want me to call the doctor?
Seobin shakes his head. He wants to die, but before he dies, he has to fix the misunderstanding between his boyfriend and him.

-I'm not in love with anyone but you. You are still enough for me, you are very sexy for me. You are my soulmate. You're the love of my life. I love you, Ji Woong Hyung.

The next day, Seobin is released from the hospital. His exams gave a magnificent result that the Hanahaki disease is reducing, so Seobin needs to rest now. Seobin pays for the taxi and leaves. When he enters his apartment, he decides to prepare some food even though he is not hungry. Before he starts chopping the onion, his doorbell rings. Seobin opens the door and Jiwoong is there with a bouquet of sunflowers.

-Here it is, Seobinie. I love you.

- So what were you doing?
Jiwoong asks as he walks into the apartment, but is immediately alarmed when he notices his boyfriend cooking.

- Seobin-ah! You shouldn't do too much work. Go rest and let me cook for you.
Seobin wants to protest that cooking isn't hard work, but his boyfriend picks him up and takes him to bed.

- Here, hug Sylbi while I cook for you. Afterward, Sylbi has to go to the nightstand because I want you to hug me.
Seobin laughs and answers:

Seobin whispers as he avoids Jiwoong's lips who tries to kiss him again. Jiwoong pouts and begs for one more kiss. Seobin laughs and agrees to kiss his boyfriend again. They start kissing and at one point Jiwoong breaks away from Seobin and throws Sylbi into a corner of the room. Seobin starts to scold Jiwoong but stops when Jiwoong takes off his shirt. Damn, Jiwoong is hotter than summer. Seobin forgets his stuffed animal and immediately caresses and licks Jiwoong's sexy body. Jiwoong puts his hands under Seobin's shirt and touches the soft white skin that he loves so much.
