Chapter 1: Baby Sized

Chapter Text

"Alrighty, that should do it." Moon stretched and glanced at the Computer. "That's it right?"

"Yes I believe so." Computer 1 says.

Moon groaned in relief. "Thank God. Transfer Sun into the body and wake him up."

There was a short silence. "Please," Moon glowered at them.

"Of course. Transferring Sun." There was a loud whirring noise and a series of beeping noises. The body laying on the bed stirred.

"Wha-" Sun sat up groggily. He blinked up at Moon then rubbed his eyes with the palms of his hands. "Moon? Why're you so big?" He slurred his words slightly.

Moon huffed. "I'm not big, you're just small. And as for why, well, you can ask the Computer that." He glared at the Computer some more.

"What d'ya mean?" Sun blinked up at Moon confused and groggy. Moon sighed. He picked Sun up around his middle and moved to stand in front of the mirror.

Sun protested at being manhandled but fell silent as he saw himself in the mirror.

"They thought it would be funny to order you a toddler-sized body, y'know cause their both little shits," Moon told him.

Sun didn't have any protests about the bad language. Mostly because he was already occupied with the fact that he was now Lunar sized. No, scratch that, he might actually be smaller than Lunar. Practically baby sized.

Sun stared at himself in shock. He looked ridiculous. He was wearing what seemed like a onesie, with bells sewn onto the wrists. It looked like his shoes weren't apart of the outfit, thank goodness, and there were bells sewn to the tips of them. His ruffles around his neck were larger than normal and he could probably hide his face in them if he wanted to.

"...What?" Sun asked. Moon snickered.

"You heard me." He shifted Sun so that he was holding him better.

"...Why would you stick me in a baby sized body!?" Sun demanded. He felt very angry at his brother. The Computer might have ordered the body this size but Moon had stuck him in it.

"Would you prefer to be missing a foot?!"

Sun was silent. Moon was right about that, but Sun wasn't going to let him know that. Moon grinned. "That's what I thought."

"Hmph. So I suppose you ordered me another new body, right?" Sun looked up at Moon, who moved to look at the Computer.

"Well... no. I haven't."

Sun blinked up at him, alarmed. "Why not?!"

"Uhh... well," Moon seemed wary of how Sun was going to take his next words. "I was talking with Earth while you were asleep, and we got an idea..." Moon trailed off. Then, "And we were thinking that this may be the break you've been needing."

Sun glared up at him. "I don't need a break Moon. I need to not be the size of a baby."

"Ehhh, debatable. But it doesn't matter. I'll order you a bigger body once you've had a long enough break."

"What?! No, it's not debatable, and if you don't order me a bigger body then I'll order one myself!" Sun declared.

Moon looked even more amused. "Mhm, sure." Sun struggled against Moon.

"I will! I'll do it by the end of the day, you'll see!"

~~~
"Aww, he's so cute."
By the end of the day Sun was exhausted. Moon had carried him out of the room and down to the daycare to give him to Earth, who seemed fond of carrying him around in one of those dumb baby sling things.
At some point she had put him down long enough to take care of something and Sun had tried to make a run for it, only to realize that his little legs wouldn't take him very far. He'd fallen and almost been stepped on by some of the children.
Sun learned pretty quickly after that , that if he wanted to go anywhere without being crushed or having to crawl, then he would have to let earth carry him around. Which lead to now.
"He's adorable! How did he get like this?" The worker smiled down at him. Sun resisted the urge to hiss at them. They smelled like cigarettes, which weren't allowed in the daycare.
"Oh, well you know, circumstances." Earth smiled. "Now if you'll excuse us, he's quite tired." She squeezed past them as they went into the daycare to empty the trash cans.
"I am not!" Sun grumped at her. Then he yawned. Stupid yawning.
Earth smiled down at him, "Yes I'm sure you're not." She climbed up the stairs quickly. She was probably more tired than he was, considering that she had been doing most of the work.
She quickly took ahold of the teleporter as Sun yawned again. He slumped in the sling tiredly. He was falling asleep for some reason. Normally he could stay awake for days on end without having to charge.
He faintly realized that he was being removed from the sling and carried somewhere. Hearing a door open, and snippets of conversation.
"-be... -kay?"
"Fin- ... smal-... batter-. Nee-... sleep."
Sun blinked sleepily up at his brother. He was mad at Moon he thought, but he couldn't remember why. Moon smiled down at him. Sun felt something soft be pulled and tucked around him. His eyes fell closed and he drifted off to sleep, hearing Moon say one last thing.
"Good night, brother."
Chapter Text
Sun blinked awake. His head felt fuzzy.
The bed shifted. Something was moving! He quickly waved his hands in the air, trying to grab whatever was moving. "No!" he yelped. He didn't want whatever it was to leave.
Sun heard a faint chuckle. Something grabbed his hand! "I've got to go brother. I have important stuff to do. Y'know, patrols and all that boring junk."
Important? Patrols? What's that? No, doesn't matter. Sun wiggled angrily and grabbed the thing holding his hand tight. "No!" he yelped again.
"Yes." Something blue leant over him. Oh, bubba! Sun happily reached up and grabbed Moon's face. Moon chuckled at him. "How about this? I bring you with me on my patrols, as long as you stay quiet and try to sleep, okay?"
Yes, go with bubba. (It's Safe with bubba.) Sun babbled happily up at Moon. "Alright." Moon picked Sun up holding him on his hip. "C'mon then." Sun happily buried his face in Moon's shoulder. This'll be fun!
~~~

Sun giggled happily as he watched Monty, the gator was so silly! They were playing golf and kept getting grumpy over missing the hole.

"Dang it!" Monty threw their golf club down. Moon snickered at them.

"Jeez, I thought that you were supposed to be good at golf." Moon had perched himself on top of the railings next to the hole Monty was playing at. Sun was sat in his lap, thoroughly enjoying Monty's suffering.

Monty glared at Moon. "I'd like to see you get over here and try!"

"Hmmm..." Moon pretended to consider it. "Nah, can't, I've got a baby to watch." He tickled Sun's sides as if to prove the point. Sun shrieked with laughter. "Bubba! No!"

Moon chuckled. "No what?"

"No, P'ease!" Sun laughed.

Moon sighed, "Well, okay then." He stopped tickling Sun, who sighed in relief. Monty watched on, their grumpiness fading slightly.

"So, uhh," Monty picked their club back up and wandered over to where the ball was. "Ya wanna tell me why Sun's a baby?"

Sun triumphantly grabbed Moon's hand and waved it about. Then he stuck it in his mouth, gnawing on Moon's palm as much as he could.

Moon shrugged. "I'm not the best one to explain it, but from what I could gather from Earth earlier it's something called age regression." He glanced down at Sun. "Wait, no don't do that. That's icky."

Moon pulled his hand away from Sun's mouth. Sun blinked, confused. Where'd the thing go? Sun hiccuped. No, he wanted his thing back!

Moon looked alarmed when Sun sniffled. "Uhh..."

Monty rolled their eyes. They opened their chest compartment and pulled out a green binkie. They tossed it to Moon, who caught it without a thought. "Here, give 'im that."

Moon quickly gave it to Sun who paused. Sun waved it around for a moment. It past Sun's test and he stuck it in his mouth, immediately calming him down.

Moon sighed in relief. "Thanks Monty."

"Yeah no problem. There are always some cryin' baby or other around and Fazco wanted us to be 'helpful'." Monty huffed. "What they really wanted was to make more money."

They hit the golf ball, which went into the hole. "Yeah, finally!" They moved towards the next hole, and Moon followed. Sun had slumped in his arms, falling asleep. Moon would take him back to the daycare soon.

"So, anyway," Monty began setting up the new hole. "What were you saying about that regression thing?"

Moon perched on top one of the tables. "It's a sort of coping mechanism, according to Earth. Something about being taken care of being soothing."

"Oh." Monty hit the golf ball. They missed. "Damnit!"

"Heh." Moon snickered at them.

"Shut up Moon man." Monty glared at him. "Anyway," They leant against a fake tree. "Why'd you come here? Cause you normally don't come down here unless you need help with something."

Moon gave them his most innocent look. "Whatever do you mean?"

The gator gave him a look. Moon sighed. "Okay, you got me. I need your help with something."

"What is it?"

"Renovations. Lunar needs a room, Earth needs parts of hers changed, and I was in Sun's room last night and it was like the size of a broom closet. Not to mention that I'd like to get that tunnel changed." Moon glanced at Monty. "I need your help with that cause none of the rest of us are strong enough to carry half of the things we'd need."

Monty gave him an amused look. "That's all? Well then sure, and I'll get Foxy to help some too."

Moon smiled. "Thank you Monty."

"You're welcome Moon man." Monty went back to their game.

Moon clambered off the table and began to make his way back to the daycare. As he neared the exit he heard a loud crack and a yell from behind him.

"NO!"

Moon left snickering to himself. He decided that he wasn't going to be the one who told Monty that that wasn't a real golf ball.

Chapter 3: Angry baby and Dizziness

Chapter Text

Lunar watched Sun yell at the Computer in amusement. He was sitting on Moon's bed, his legs crossed and a Nintendo switch in hand.

It had been about a week since the 'Computer's' order of Sun's small new body. Lunar knew full well that it hadn't been an accident, that the Computer had ordered it because Moon had told them to.

(But he wasn't going to say anything to Sun, because Moon had brought him to both beanbag factories and let him pick out three from each one in return for his silence. The theater had never been so comfortable.)

"ORDER ONE!"

"No."

"ARGH!"

"What are you, a pirate?"

"Meanie!" The Computer didn't have time to answer. Sun whirled around and gave Lunar a pleading look. "Tell them to order a new body for me! Please!"

Lunar held up his hands. "I'm not getting in the middle of this."

"Ugh!" Sun stomped his foot angrily. He spun back around and glared at the Computer. Lunar thought that it was Binary that was speaking, the meaner one.

Moon had updated them to have a face, saying that it was weird talking to a blank screen. Just a dark grey circle with a few rays sticking out and light grey eyes for the first one, and the colors were inverted with no rays for the second one.

Lunar had given them names, feeling that it was kind of rude to just call them Computer 1 and 2. Binary for the meaner one, and Bit for the nicer one.

"Stop being a meanie!" Sun yelled at them. Binary rolled their eyes.

"Is that the worst insult you have?"

Sun stomped again and his face turned bright red. "Order it!"

"Once again Sun, No. Moon has forbidden us from ordering one at your request. Not that we would have anyway, it is quite funny seeing you like this."

"UGH!" Sun whipped around again and toddled back to the bed. He held his arms up to Lunar. "Up!"

Lunar looked at him in amusement.

Sun huffed. "Please?"

Lunar snickered and put down the Nintendo switch. Then he reached down and picked Sun up and pulled him into his lap.

Sun curled himself up there, crossing his arms and pouting. Lunar patted him on the head. "Come on, it's not that bad. I mean, I'm small too."

"I've gotta help though," Sun grumped. He rubbed his eyes tiredly. 'Oh yeah,' Lunar thought. 'Moon did say that Sun would get tired faster, didn't he?'

Lunar glanced around the room. His eyes landed on the green pacifier sitting on a box next to the bed, that was being used as a table. Moon had told him to give that to Sun if he'd started getting tired.

Lunar leaned over and grabbed it. Then he offered it to Sun. "Here."

Sun blinked at it. Then, for absolutely no reason, he reached out and smacked it out of Lunar's hand. He burst into giggles as the pacifier bounced off the bed and across the room.

Lunar watched it go, shocked. "Why?"

Sun giggled more. There was a huff of laughter from the Computer.

Lunar clambered off the bed, intending to grab the pacifier. He carried Sun with him, who squirmed in his grasp. He patted at Lunar's chest, as he leant down to grab it.

"There," Lunar said. "Now I've got to go clean it off and-"

Everything went dark.

Lunar's vision and hearing came back slowly. He heard a worried voice, asking what happened, and a little voice sobbing.

"...-nar?! Lunar are you okay?! What happened?!"

Lunar blinked up at an extremely blurry face above him. "I-i... I don't know." He suddenly remembered what he had been doing before. He tried to sit up, only to be stopped. "Sun! where'd he go?!"

He felt himself be lifted up into someone's arms. "It's okay, kid. Earth's got Sun. Bit, run a diagnostic on Lunar." The last part was directed at the Computer. Lunar realized that it was Moon that was holding him, and that the crying had stopped.

"Running diagnostic." Whirrr "Diagnostic finished. There is a slight abrasion on Lunar's left arm." Now that Lunar thought about it, his arm did kind of hurt.

"Oh," Moon sounded relieved. "That's an easy fix then. But, Lunar, what happened? Me and Earth were just speaking with some workers and we heard Sun start crying. We got up here as soon as we could and saw you on the floor and Sun trying to wake you up."

Lunar blinked up at him. "I-i don't know. I think I tripped or something."

Moon glanced down at him. Then he sighed and set Lunar down on the bed. "It's okay. Just let me fix your arm, then you can go tell Sun that you're okay. He's probably still freaking out."

Lunar nodded. "Okay Moon." He was dizzy and tired, but he'd be fine. Moon smiled at him. Lunar decided that he'd ask Monty about it later.

Chapter 4: Meanies and Friends

Summary:

Meanies, an old/new friend, and a small moment of friendship.

Warnings- a really mean woman, who should have better things to do than this.

Notes:

(See the end of the chapter for notes.)

Chapter Text

Sun toddled along, his hand in another child's. He was helping! Helping Sissy with closing the daycare, bringing the other kids to their parents.

This child's name was Allyson. She was nice, not getting annoyed with him when he tripped over a stair, or when his pace was slower than her's. Not like some of the other kids.

"Here go!" He proudly held Allyson's hand up to her mother. The woman cooed at him.

"Well aren't you sweet." She took Allyson's hand from Sun, and reached down and patted him on the top of his head. "Have a good day!"

"Bye Sun!" Allyson waved at him as her mother lead her away. Sun waved back.

"Bye bye!" Sun turned around and happily began toddling back to Earth. He took the stairs one at a time and wandered through the big doors.

"There you go." Earth finished putting a wristband on a new arrival. "Pink, just like Chica!" The little boy giggled in delight, thanked her, and scrambled off after one of his siblings.

Sun reached her and tugged on her hand. She looked down at him and smiled. "Oh hello! You're back!" She reached down and picked him up. "Did it go okay? The parent was nice right?"

"Mhm," Sun hummed in agreement.

"That's good." Earth set him down on the desk, a hand on his back to keep him steady. "Do you want to help with the next one still?"

"Yeah!"

"Alright." Earth waved over another little boy. "This is Ellison. His father is waiting up in the main area for him, in a yellow shirt and green cargo pants." Ellison gave a little wave.

She picked Sun up off the desk and gently set him down. Sun offered his hand to Ellison, who took it. "Be careful," Earth told them.

"See ya ina minute sissy!" Sun waved back at her as he lead his new friend torwards the stairs.

Ellison seemed shy, but that was okay! He was also nice about how slow Sun was being. They reached the top of the stairs and could see Ellison's father. "Oh hello." The man seemed surprised to see Sun.

"Hi!" Sun held Ellison's hand up to his father. "Here go!" he repeated. The man smiled down at him.

"Why thank you." He took Ellison's hand from him. Ellison gave Sun another shy wave.

Sun waved back happily, "Bye bye!"

As Ellison and his father left, Sun turned around and began making his way back to the stairs.

He heard a scoff from behind him and a hand grabbed his shoulder. "Are you kidding me?! They have this stupid thing working here?!"

Sun yelped in surprise as he was yanked around to meet the face of a very annoyed woman. "What, were you defective or something?!"

"Ow!" Sun tried to pull his arm out of the woman's grasp. What did she have against him?! "Le' go!"

"No!" She yanked on his arm again.

"Sissy!" Sun yelled for Earth. That hurt!

"I think... that is quite enough." The woman shrieked, and Sun was let go. Sun sniffled sadly and cradling his arm gently, looked up.

The woman was dangling from a very tall Moon's hand. Wait, no. Moon's not that tall?

"What do you have to say for yourself, harming a child like that? He didn't even do anything to you." The woman shrieked about how she was being manhandled, that she'd have the tall animatronic scrapped, and all sorts of bad words.

The tall animatronic chuckled. "Stupid woman. I don't even work here." They carried the woman to the door, where a few staff bots stood waiting. The tall animatronic handed her to them. "But, as I am friends with the owners, I can ban you. Therefore, you are now banned from the Pizza Plex. Have a faztastic day." Those last words were said with enough salt in them to dry the sea.

The woman was dragged out still screaming about the injustice being done to her.

The tall animatronic turned once the woman was gone, striding over to where Sun was. They knelt down in front of him. "Are you... alright?"

Sun held his arm out at them. He figured that since this animatronic had made the mean lady go away, and since they looked like Moon, then they must be nice.

"Oh... yes. She did yank your arm pretty hard. Let me see." The tall animatronic reached down and picked Sun up. They checked his arm, gently tilting it one way and another. "Ah... yes. Moon will have to fix it, as I... am not as adept at that kind of thing."

They carried Sun to the teleporter. Sun squirmed at the weird sticky feeling it left over.

"KC!" Moon was sitting at the little table, with Lunar in his lap. There were papers all over it, which looked like worksheets. "What are you doing here?" Moon blinked, surprised, and clambered out of the seat, setting Lunar back on the chair.

"I just... came by to check on you all." KC! That's the tall animatronics name. Neato!

Sun hung partially out of KCs arms, making grabby hands at Moon. "Bubba, bubba!"

Moon reached out, carefully taking Sun from KC. He noticed how it was bent slightly in the wrong way. "What happened to your arm?" He asked nervously, glancing from Sun to KC.

"There was... a woman. She was quite... upset over something, and decided... to take it out on the nearest target."

Moon scoffed, gently cradling Sun's arm as the little babbled down at Lunar. "Bad aditude, Karen haircut, and a stupid orange power suit?"

KC nodded.

"Ugh." Moon shook his head. "I was on call with Monty earlier, and according to her, that same woman was apparently there with her now ex boyfriend. He broke up with her right there in the middle of the golf course, and she went on a rampage, yelling and screaming at everyone else, to the point that Monty kicked her out." Moon rolled his eyes. "She probably came here looking for someone to yell at. Did you kick her out?"

"Yes... I did." KC shook his head "Awful woman... I don't blame the ex."

"Heh, yeah." Moon glanced down at Sun's arm, then down at Lunar. "Hey, could you sit in here with Lunar here and help him with his school work, just while I go fix Sun's arm. I'm trying to teach him some math outside of the basics."

KC nodded. "Of course."

"Thanks." Moon began carrying Sun to the tunnel. "Let's go get you fixed up, huh?"

Sun babbled happily up at him. Then he looked at KC over Moon's shoulder. "Thank you Mister!" He waved at KC.

KC smiled and waved back. "You are welcome, little sun."

~~~
"So..." Monty stared at the boxes. She messed with the pink bracelet around her wrist.
"So." Foxy agreed.
They were standing down in the bottom of the Pizza Plex, in the lower tunnels. It was creepy the amount of Moon merch was down there, wasted.
The boxes in front of them were a problem, blocking their path down to the old Foxy model parts.
"Eh." Monty shrugged, adjusted her glasses, and began to make her way back up to the surface. "We'll come back tomorrow with something to knock those down."
Foxy followed her, dejectedly. "...Fine."
Monty may not have been the greatest person in the world, but she did feel a strong sense of loyalty to her close friends. And she knew that Foxy hadn't been feeling well here lately. So she did what any good person would do to cheer up a friend.
"Race you!" She watched as Foxy immediately sprinted past, determined to prove his title of fastest animatronic in the world.
She knew Foxy would beat her, but it would cheer her friend up, so she would accept it.
Monty paused at doorway Foxy had sprinted through without closing. She could have sworn she heard something. Shaking her head she left, chasing Foxy down the hall. "Wait up!"
Red eyes peered out of the darkness, and manic giggles filled the room. The red animatronic prowled after her. Not to hunt, but to be lead out of the basement.
They had things to do after all.
Chapter 5: Mission Hugs
Summary:
Sun decides that he wants to go on an adventure. Shenanigans ensue.
Chapter Text
Sun was on a mission.
He had given everyone in his family a hug, Moon, Earth, Lunar, and KC. But what about the other animatronics? He was sure that they would want some hugs too.
And so, with Lunar and Earth doing something for their channel, KC exploring Fazer Blast, and Moon taking a nap, Sun set off into the Pizza Plex to give everyone hug’s.
Sun toddled down the hall, pausing at the little yellow caution bots. He reached out and patted one on the head. “Watch the daycare fo’ me p’ease, lil’ buddies!”
He wandered through the shutter door as it rolled up for him. He paused and stared around in awe of all the pretty colors and lights. This was going to be fun!
~~~

Chica:

Sun figured that Chica would be the least likely to try and send him back to the daycare once she saw him. So he would find her first.

He took the metal stairs one at a time. He was too small and too unbalanced to go any faster, but it gave him time to listen and see if he heard the kitchen dwelling chicken. And hear her he did, the sound of crunching and splattering uncomfortable to Sun’s audio receptors.

Sun reached the bottom of the stairs and nervously wandered through the doors to the kitchen. They had been left open, (probably by Chica, so that she didn’t get locked in again), and Sun was glad that he would have no problem getting back out.

He toddled around the food prep tables, following the chewing sounds, and turned around the last one and…

Ewwww.

Sun had thought that Chica was eating nachos, or some really crunchy pizza. Not garbage.

And there she was, kneeling down on the floor in front of a pile of trash bags, shoveling old food and paper plates and cardboard into her beak with delighted, unnecessary chewing noises.

She hadn’t noticed Sun yet, and Sun wasn’t sure he wanted her to now. But he was on a mission, and it wouldn’t be completed until he gave all of the other animatronics hugs. He’d just… ask her to clean up first. Yeah.

So, with that thought in mind, he toddled over to her and tugged on her pretty pink crop top.

Chica whipped around, a piece of cardboard hanging from her beak. She saw Sun and gasped in delight, “Sunny!”

Much to Sun’s horror, she swept him up into her arms and spun him around. “It’s been so long since I saw you, sweetie! How have you been? Has Moon been alright? I heard that you’ve got some new siblings, are they nice?”

Sun shrank a bit under Chica’s onslaught of questions, and the icky stuff getting all over him. She noticed, thankfully. “Oh, sorry sweetie. Here,” She began carrying him in some random direction. “I’ll go clean up and then we can catch up. That good?”

Sun pouted slightly. He wanted down! And he’d… oh.

Chica set him down on a bench, holding a hand behind him to make sure he didn’t fall. As soon as she was sure of that, she wandered off, and Sun could hear the sound of water running around the corner. This was one of the employee locker rooms.

Sun clambered off of the bench and toddled away. He would count Chica picking him up as a hug, this time.
~~~
Roxy:
Much better. Sun wandered through the salon, wondering where Roxanne was. She was normally here, and Sun hoped that she didn’t decide to stay in her green room today. If she had Sun might start crying.
He paused and listened. He heard the go karts going, vroom. He giggled, silly. She must be racing or something.
Sun clambered down the steps torwards the pit stop, just as Roxy pulled up. She hopped out and took her helmet off, giving him a surprised look. “Oh, hey Sunny. What’re you doing here?”
Sun held his hands up to her. She picked him up and held him on her hip, and Sun nuzzled into her side. Hug acquired.
She smiled down at him, “Awe, so you came for hugs, huh? Well I can do that.” She hugged him back tightly and swung him around. Sun giggled at her, delighted. He babbled at her and waved at the go-kart, he wants to ride!
“Hm,” She looked at where he was waving and grinned, showing off her sharp teeth. “Oh, you wanna ride? We can do that.”
Fifteen minutes later Sun was secured into the front seat of the go-kart, Roxy behind him and in control of the kart, as they zoomed around the track. Sun was laughing in pure delight and kept yelling “V’oom v’oom!” every few seconds. Roxy was also laughing, and responding to his yells with Vroom vroom’s of her own.
They approached a sharp turn and Sun shrieked in delight as they went around it, squeezing his eyes shut. And suddenly he wasn't moving anymore.
Sun opened his eyes in confusion, and looked around. Where did the go-kart and Roxy go? He was back at the pit stop, to his surprise. How?
He heard the squealing of tire’s as they came to an abrupt halt. “SUN?!” He heard Roxy yell, panicking. “SUN!”
“I’m over here ‘oxy!” He yelled back nervously. He heard the sound of panicked footsteps, and was scooped up by a worried Roxy.
“Shit, are you okay?! I don’t know how that happened, are you hurt?!” She looked him over worriedly, and looked relieved when she found nothing but a bit of dirt on him. “Thank God.” She held him tightly to her chest, still panicked.
When Sun left about thirty minutes later, he was carrying a new rattle in his hand and had a new pacifier in his mouth. Both Roxy had found in the salon and given to him.
She was still puzzling about how he’d gotten out of the go-kart as he toddled out the door.
~~~

Freddy:

Sun new that getting away from Freddy would be a bit harder than getting away from Chica and Roxy. Freddy would want to call Moon immediately, and Sun couldn’t have that. Bubba would ruin the mission! He would try and take Sun back to the daycare or go with Sun to the other animatronics. Which was bad cause this was Sun’s mission.

Sun crept down rockstar row to Freddy’s room and knocked on the door. It swung open, revealing Glamrock Freddy. “Oh!” Freddy said in surprise. “Hello Sun! What brings you here?”

Sun held his hands up at Freddy, waving his new rattle at him. Freddy chuckled and reached down, picking Sun up. He carried Sun into the room as Sun hugged him. He hugged Sun back. “How sweet. Now,” Freddy set him down on the couch and handed him one of the plushies that were strewn across it. “What brings you here?”

Sun cooed at the plushie from around his pacifier, waving his rattle at it. He didn’t answer Freddy, didn’t feel the need to. He’d gotten his hug, and now he’d have to move on to the next animatronic. He just had to get away from Freddy now.

Freddy frowned at him, and asked, “Does Moon even know that you’re here?” When Sun didn’t answer, he frowned more. “Perhaps I should give him a call…” He stood and walked over to the other side of the room. Sun could hear the sound of the phone ringing. This was his chance!

Sun jumped up off of the couch and quickly moved through the door in the back of the room. He toddled around the weird fences in the back room and began climbing the boxes piled up to the vent opening.

“Sun, your brother is going to co-“ Sun heard Freddy’s words come to an abrupt stop as he realized that Sun was no longer on the couch and climbed faster. “Sun!?”

Sun made it into the vent and began toddling through them. He carried his new plush with him and stuffed his rattle into his big pocket. He heard Freddy panicking about Sun disappearance.

Sun’s mission was almost over.
~~~
DJ Music Man:
Sun had almost gotten lost wandering the vents, until one of the little music men scrabbled up to him.
Sun was now standing in one of the big tunnels in the west arcade, a big smile on his face. DJ Music Man smiled back at him. The DJ gave him a small wave, and Sun giggled as he waved back.
Sun giggled more as DJ poked him gently with a large finger. Sun wrapped his arms around it in a hug equivalent. He began babbling at the large animatronic, telling him all about his grand adventures from that day.
Sun heard the elevator ding, but didn’t pay much attention to it. At least he didn’t until he heard a shout of “SUN?! ARE YOU IN HERE?!”
Oh no! Bubba had found him. He gave DJ a panicked look as he realized that he must have messaged Moon. DJ looked back at him.
Sun scrambled up and began scrambling quickly down the tunnel, back towards the entrance to the vent. “Sun!”
Moon was in the tunnel with him now. Sun scrambled faster, the rattle in his pocket making panicked ringing noises as he ran. “Sun, get ba- DJ!” Sun glanced behind him as he reached the vent entrance. Moon hung between two of DJs fingers, flailing about as he tried to get to Sun. “Put me down!”
Sun giggled and waved his thanks at his new accomplice. DJ waved back, and Sun toddled through the vent again. He asked the little music man to lead him to Monty.
~~~

Monty:

Monty was the last one on his list, because Monty would immediately bring him back to the daycare. Sun wandered through Gator golf, looking for them, and clinging to his now dirty Glamrock Freddy plushie. They might have gone out to look for him at Moon’s request though, so he wasn’t confident that they’d –

Sun was picked up off of the floor by the back of his shirt. He was turned around to look Monty in the face. “There you are.”

Sun giggled at the disgruntled look on Monty’s face. “Mon’y, Mon’y!”

Monty shook their head, exasperated. “Y’know how much trouble you’ve caused today? We had to send Moon back to the daycare ‘cause he nearly blew a fuse from panickin’ ‘bout ya.”

Sun lowered his head guiltily. Monty sighed and grinned. They moved Sun to their hip and began making their way to the daycare. “Not that a little trouble is a bad thing y’know, but you could have warned us first.”

Sun snuggled into Monty’s side, happily accepting being carried. He was pretty tired now after running around all day.

The walk to the elevator was a haze, and so was the elevator ride itself. Sun woke from his doze as the shutters to the daycare entrance opened and he remembered something he had to do.

He reached up and patted Monty’s chest, “Down, p’ease!”

Monty set him down gently, and Sun toddled over to the little caution bots again. He patted both of their heads and set down his bear, pulling what he’d found for them out of the pocket without his rattle.

The little Freddy hats looked adorable on them! Sun clapped his hands and giggled as the two chirped at him in thanks . “You’re welcome !” Sun told them both. Monty smiled in the background, then they got a message and frowned after reading it.

“Hey Sun, d’ya think you’ll be able to get down to the daycare if I leave ya here? I’ve got something I need to go do.” Sun glanced at them and nodded.

Monty reached down and hugged him. “I’ll see you later Sunny!” they yelled at they shot off through the doors.

Sun waved at them as they left. Then he turned, picked up his bear, and made his way down to the daycare.

That was fun! He’d finished his mission and got some new toys out of it too! He couldn’t wait for his next adventure.

He wandered through the big double doors into his familiar daycare. He paused as he heard Moon’s voice and someone else’s, which sounded oddly familiar as well, but not in a good way.

He wandered around the security desk seeing Moon arguing with another person. Sun gasped as he saw who it was, panic shooting through him as they looked over Moon’s shoulder at him.

Eclipse.
~~~
Meanwhile:
KC watched as a staff bot rolled towards them, with fake green alien antenna glued to its head and a Fazer blaster in hand. It monotonously stated, “Pew. Pew,” Every few moments as it shot at them.
KC stared at it. “…What?”
Chapter Text
Nova new that he would have to talk to Sun at some point. Now that he was here in this universe, and no longer able to occupy his own, he would have to get used to seeing Sun again.
He had not thought that the first time they talked would be when Sun was little, nor had he thought that he would be watching Moon try to calm him down as he screamed from under the security desk.
And, try as Moon might, he already wasn't the best with kids, so trying to calm a terrified Sun sobbing and pleading for the monster to go away was really not within his pay grade. That was more Earth's area of expertise.
"Sunny, it's okay! He won't hurt you, I promise!" Moon tried to reach under the desk and pull Sun out to comfort him, but he just screamed harder and swatted Moon's hands away.
"No, NO!" Sun cried. Nova shuffled nervously in the background. He didn't know what to do. Should he try and help? Should he leave?
Sun continued to bawl, and Moon continued to panic.
Nova got an idea.
When he was still in his Sun's body, sometimes his Moon's kill code would act up. Then Moon would get really angry and begin to throw things and try to hit Sun.
Sun would hide in the theater when that happened, and when Nova became sentient and revealed himself to Sun, he would always try and comfort Nova. He would dance around the headspace, play games with him, and change the space to entertain him. But Nova's favorite thing Sun would do was sing.
Nova's favorite song of Sun's was a lullaby. Sun sang it when Nova was tired, or small, pulling him up into his lap and rocking gently back and forth. It made Nova feel loved, and he would sink into the fuzzy happiness it brought him every time.
So, perhaps it would help this Sun to calm down, and maybe get him to trust Nova some.
Nova knelt down in front of Sun, who sobbed harder, and backed himself into the desk as best he could. Moon turned and looked at Nova, either about to snap at him for scaring Sun more, or to ask what he was doing, but he didn't get the chance as Nova began to sing.
"When the sun loves the moon
Even the ocean feels her pull
Oh, and the stars align every night
To spell out their love in tiny bright lights"
Sun's crying faltered. What a pretty voice, and a pretty song. He stared up at the monster and his bubba, confused. That didn't make any sense though, monsters don't sing pretty songs.
Moon watched as Sun calmed slightly and stared at them both with wide, tear filled eyes. He quickly wracked his database for the song, quickly finding it. Nova didn't falter as Moon joined the song.
"Oh, when the sun loves the moon
Her golden light
Her silver hues
A beautiful song
Oh, how they long
For dawn"
Sun stared up at them both. Okay, now he knew that there were no monsters. Bubba only sang when there were no monsters, like when he'd scared them off so that they couldn't give Sun anymore nightmares. But he had to check. "...No monsters?"
Moon quickly shook his head. "No Sunny, no monsters. Just Nova." He gently patted Nova on the shoulder.
Sun looked at Nova warily. "Nova?"
Nova swallowed thickly. He hadn't sang that song since his Ma- Sun. Since his Sun died. 'Not the time Supernova!' He thought angrily at himself.
He nodded at Sun. "Yeah, I'm Nova. Not... him."
"Oh," Sun blinked up at him. "...'kay." He fidgeted. Then he looked back up, "Can p'ay then?"
Nova blinked at him. "Uhh..." He looked to Moon, trying to keep the hope off of his face. Moon gave him a knowing look though, seeing right through him.
"Of course you can." Moon reached down and gently pulled Sun out from under the desk, setting him on the floor again and nudging him torwards Nova. "Just be careful."
Sun squealed, clapping his hands in excitement. Then he reached up and grabbed ahold of Nova's hand and began dragging him towards the play structures.
Moon chuckled watching them go, knowing that he'd have two littles to take care of later, but not caring in the slightest. In fact, he was looking forward to it. Nova had been such a well behaved kid when Moon was over at his universe, and Moon had been missing his friend, big and little.
~~~

Lunar sat on one of Monty work tables, hooked up to a computer. Monty was looking through some sort of schematics or something, trying to figure out what those weird collapsing fits Lunar kept having was.

"Okay, so," Monty said, breaking the silence of the past thirty minutes. He pushed away from the computer, and leant back in his chair. "I think I've figured out the problem."

"Mhm," Lunar hummed. They waited patiently for Monty to finish.

"I think it's a leftover side effect from, uh, the 'accident'." Monty didn't want to say anything that would make Lunar panic, which was basically anything related to Eclipse or being blown up. And honestly, Monty didn't want to think about it either.

"Oh," Lunar said blankly.

"Yeah," Monty opened one of the drawers under the table, pulling out a few fidget toys Moon had made him. They were made out of some sort of reenforced rubber and plastic, so that he didn't immediately tear them up on accident with his claws.

"It's basically like havin' an iron deficiency, y'know?" Monty continued. "You can't stand up too fast, or move too quickly, or you'll get dizzy and fall over. But you don't have an iron deficiency. So this is somethin' to do with your balancin' processors."

"Huh," Lunar said. They waited to see if Monty has anything else to say. When nothing came, They asked, "Is there anything you can do to fix it?"

Monty was silent for a moment. "Nothin' I can think of right now. Maybe after I do some research I could find somethin', but I ain't to sure."

Lunar looked dejected, and Monty gave them a sympathetic look. "I know it ain't great kid, but maybe I'll find somethin' soon. I promise I'll be lookin'."

Lunar nodded. "It's okay Monty." They reached up and detached themselves from the computer. "Thank you for figuring out what it is though."

"You're welcome kid." Monty frowned at them. Then he got an idea. "Hey, you wanna go get some ice cream or somethin'?"

Monty smiled as Lunar lit up like a light bulb. At least that could cheer him up.
~~~
Moon gently gathered Sun up into his arms, letting him hold onto his nightcap for comfort. KC was doing the same with Nova, his bigger frame allowing them to carry the adult sized bot easily.
The two littles had played well with each other, and hadn't wanted to stop playing at bedtime. Moon normally would have insisted that they slept, but he'd underestimated the power of both of their puppy eyes at the same time.
Now, Moon carried Sun up to the balcony room teleporter with KC just behind him with Nova.
He clambered down the ladder, using on hand, carried Sun to his room. "Bubba?" Sun looked up at him with sleepy eyes.
"Shhhh," Moon whispered. "Sleepy time, Sunshine." Sun nodded, then rolled over, hugging a fox plushie he'd grabbed from the top of his bed.
Moon smiled, then made his way into the main room, where KC was waiting. "Good night... Moon."
Moon waved at him and KC left. Moon made his way to the couch KC had settled Nova on. He grabbed a blanket from the back of the couch and threw it over Nova. "Good night, Supernova."
With Nova's arrival, Moon couldn't help but feel as though his strange family was almost complete.
Almost. Something was still missing...
Notes:
The song in this chapter is called 'When the Sun loves the Moon' by Reinaeiry. It's a beautiful song, and I recommend going and giving it a listen to.
Chapter 7: A Bus Ride and a Temporary Home
Summary:
A bus ride, grampa, and grabbing some things.
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Sun fidgeted around in Moon's lap. They'd been on this bus foreveerrrr, and he was getting bored. The tablet Moon has given him to play on was dead, and Lunar had fallen asleep. Nova was also asleep, slumped over Lunar who sat in his lap. Soooo boring.
Moon shifted, groaning at his stiff legs. Aha, Bubba! He'd play with Sun!
Sun squirmed around to face Moon, ignoring Moon's grumpy questions, and used Moon's shoulders to pull himself up to stand in Moon's lap. Moon frowned at him, "Yes, Sun?"
Sun smiled happily back at him, "Play!"
"No."
Sun sputtered. "But, but-"
"Ah." Moon held a finger up at him. "No buts. This bus is too crowded for us to play anything, and honestly, even if we could play, I wouldn't want to." At Sun's horrified face, Moon snickered lightly and said, "Yes, I don't wanna play. We've been on here for several hours now, and the only reason I haven't joined the other two in dream land is because I don't want you to get off at the wrong stop or something, or for someone to try and kidnap you."
Sun sputtered some more. Moon shook his head and sat back. "Besides, we're almost there."
Sun hmph'd and stomped his foot angrily, shuffling back around to flop down into Moon's lap. He ignored Moon when he grumpily told him off for stomping on his leg and glared off into space.
Moon sighed. He glanced around and grabbed Lunar's tablet, glowering at the empty battery sign. Why didn't he think to grab some portable chargers or something! He sighed again and looked at his arm computer tiredly.
Sun blinked as Moon wrapped his arms around him, wha- oh! Sun was presented with flappy bird on Moon's weird arm computer thingy. "Yay!" Sun cried happily, cheerfully starting the first of many aggressive games.
Moon sighed again, jeez his arm would be sore later.
~~~

"G'ampa!" Sun flung his arms up, effectively smacking Moon in the face.

"Sun!" Golden scooped Sun out of the baby carrier Moon had had him strapped in, taking the tiny animatronic calling him grampa in stride. Moon had called ahead of time and explained about Sun early yesterday morning, before they'd even gotten on the bus.

Nova shuffled in behind Moon with a still sleeping Lunar in his arms, curiously glancing around the old house. He'd told Moon that the Golden Freddy of his dimension was even weirder than theirs is, and that he avoided the old bear like the plague whenever he came to visit the Plex, so being in this Golden's house and potentially having to live there for a few months was going to be an odd experience, the say least.

"It's so good to see you, little buddy!" Sun giggled in delight and grabbed Golden's nose, laughing harder when it made a loud honking noise.

Moon held his hands up as he was ignored. "What am i, chopped liver?"

Golden threw an amused look at him. "Listen, baby comes first kid." Sun gave him a smug look and nodded, as if to say, 'Yeah, this guy knows what's up'. Moon sputtered, and Golden laughed.

"Ah, c'mere you!" Golden threw an arm around Moon, giving him a cheerful squeeze. "Oh!" Golden spotted Nova and Lunar. "And who might you two be?"

Nova gave Moon a nervous look and Moon quickly butted in. "Golden, this is Nova, and the little blue bundle in his arms is Lunar, he's asleep. Nova, this is Golden."

Golden smiled up at him, letting Moon go. "Well, hey there. It's nice to meet you." He glanced at Lunar and smiled. "There are a couple rooms upstairs you can lay him in if you want." He grinned down at Sun, "Do you wanna go show him where they are?"

Sun nodded violently and squirmed until Golden set him down on the floor. He scrambled over to Nova, happily taking his hand and dragging him up the stairs.

Golden turned to Moon again, giving him an bemused look. "You didn't mention him y'know."

Moon winced. "Yeah, sorry about that. I had a hell of a time trying to convince him to even get on the bus, nevertheless everything else. I completely forgot to warn you."

Golden snorted. "That's not what I meant. I meant that you didn't mention that he wouldn't like me. There was obviously something wrong there."

"Oh,"Moon glanced up the stairs. "Well, his universe wasn't very kind to him. The you there wasn't an exception."

Golden nodded. He frowned up the stairs, then turned back to Moon. "Well, it's a good thing he's here now then. I'll keep my distance and let him come to me if he wants to talk."

Moon nodded. "That'll probably be best."

"Anyway," Golden began walking torwards the kitchen. "Why did you need a place to stay, huh? I thought that you had all of those bunkers and things."

"Oh, well," Moon said. He sat at the table tiredly. Golden pulled a mug out of one of the cabinets and poured him a cup of coffee, which wouldn't affect him, but it was nice to hold something warm that wasn't a tiny animatronic.

"None of my bunkers are really 'child friendly' y'know, so I couldn't bring Sun to any of them. We would have just stayed at the daycare, but Fazco got ahold of the fact that we were going to be doing renovations to our rooms and just decided to renovate the whole daycare too. And I really don't trust what they are going to do there, so there is no way we were going to stay after that. Plus, I thought that being way out here would be better for Lunar too, 'cause he's still recovering from dying, and all of the repercussions of that and... yeah. That's basically it."

Moon sipped the coffee. Golden processed that whole speech.

"Well," he finally said. "You guys are always welcome here. Stay as long as you need."

"Thank you."

Moon stood with a groan. "I'm gonna go get Sun and then go to bed. If Lunar wakes up you can put him out in the garden and he'll stay out of your way. Nova'll follow him and keep an eye on him. If something happens wake me up please."

Golden nodded. "Good night."

"Good night."
~~~
KC carefully picked up their stuff and handed it behind them to Earth, who put them on the trailer. They'd been grabbing boxes from their small camper they'd owned for a while, and KC decided that they were going a bit crazy.
"Earth... do you feel that?"
Earth blinked up at them curiously. "Feel what?"
KC glanced around wearily. "It feels as though someone is... watching us. I do not like it."
Earth frowned. "Yes, I believe that I feel it too. Perhaps it is just because of us being so far out here, and we've gotten used to being in the Plex?" She posed it as a question, and KC couldn't argue with it.
"Yes... perhaps."
KC frowned around at the surrounding trees, then they went back to boxing up his stuff.
What he didn't see was the pair of red eyes starring out of the woods at them.
Chapter 8: Windows and A New Problem
Summary:
Moon falls and Sun runs.
Notes:
Hope you enjoy!
Chapter Text
The night started with a lot of yelling and Moon falling out of a window.
Lunar looked blearily up from his tablet as he heard someone yelling. He didn't think much of it, apparently OG Freddy, (AKA. Fred, as Golden called him for their sakes), was supposed to be bringing his daughter Francine over for a playdate with Sun. Lunar just assumed that they'd finally gotten there.
They had not, as Lunar learned. Five minutes after the the yelling started he heard a crash, then a swear, then something large fell past his window cursing violently.
Lunar quickly jumped out of bed, throwing his tablet down and running torwards the door to go check on whoever fell. He got halfway there before his legs and arms began to feel shaky.
It felt like his entire body had been asleep, and that it was just now getting up. His vision blurred and color swarmed.
"Damnit!" Lunar swore as he collapsed. He laid there, tremors racking through him. He couldn't hear, or see anything but the swarms of colors, or feel anything other than the tremors in his limbs.
Then it finally stopped. Lunar pushed himself up onto his hands and knees, staring into space as his limbs finally stopped shaking. What the hell was that?!
His head jolted up as he heard Earth's voice calling from outside. "Moon! Are you okay?!"
Screw it. Lunar decided to ignore what had just happened for the time being. He jumped off of the floor and scrambled out the door, down the stairs, and into the garden. Earth, Nova, and Golden stared up at Moon, who hung from a tree by his foot.
Lunar stopped next to Nova and joined them in staring. "What is he doing up there?"
Golden answered him. "He fell out of his and Sun's window."
"Oh..."
Moon writhed around from where he hung. "Don't just stand there, help me get down! We need to figure out where Sun is!"
"Is Sun missing?!" Earth sounded alarmed.
"Yes! I can't find him anywhere!"
"We'll find him, Moon, but we've got to get you down too, so..." Golden turned to Lunar and Nova, "You two go start looking for Sun. Me and Earth'll get Moon down, then join you."
Lunar saluted at the old bear. "Yessir!"
Nova followed him back to the house to search. Lunar really hoped that they'd find Sun quickly, and that he was safe.
~~~

Five hours earlier:

Sun glared out the window. He was so bored! There was nothing to do. Moon was sleeping, Lunar was also sleeping, everyone was sleeping!

Something caught his eye. Something red flitting through the woods. He stared, thinking it a bird at first. But as he watched it, it moved out from behind a tree and-

Sun gasped out loud, excitement curling through him. Another animatronic! One his size too! Oh, he had to go meet them, he had so many fun games he could play with them!

He scrambled out of the window seat, and glanced at the bed where Moon laid, asleep. He hesitated but decided not to wake Moon. Bubba needed his sleep!

Down the stairs and out the front door Sun went. He moved closer to the woods curiously, hopefully the other animatronic hadn't left yet... There!

A small red animatronic shuffled out of the woods, staring at Sun with an expression he couldn't place. Sun fidgeted nervously.

"Uh, hello!" Sun waved at them. They stared blankly back at him. Then, much to Sun's surprise, they turned and sprinted back into the woods. "Hey!" Sun called after them. He glanced back at the house, hesitated for a second, then he turned and gave chase into the woods.

He could see them running just up ahead, not getting very far on such little legs, but still pretty fast. He kept tripping and falling over sticks, and he had to stop multiple times to climb over logs, but the other animatronic never stays too far out of sight.

It gets late. Sun ended up stopping by a tree, pausing as he realized that it had gotten very late. "F-f'end? It's getting late..."

Sun huddled himself against the tree, glancing around nervously. Then he sees them again.

The red animatronic stands between two trees, staring blankly at him. Then they grin, and something looms out of the darkness behind them.

"Aha! Good work Bloodmoon!"

Sun scrunched himself back as the large animatronic steps around Bloodmoon. Broken and cheery, Ruin Eclipse reaches down for Sun, picking him up against his will. It grins down at him, and Sun feels something messing with his wires.

"We'll have so much fun, my little friend!"

Then, before Sun could even scream, there was a click and a whir and everything went dark.

Chapter 9: Potatoes and a Bargain

Chapter Text

The note was written in rhymes. Fortunately, they'd managed to pick up enough Ruin Eclipse speak to understand what it said.

They have Sun.

They want something in return for giving him back.

It's not money.

Moon held his head in his hands. Golden sat on the couch beside him, leaning back with a hand over his eyes. Lunar, Earth, and KC sat on the floor, and Nova had curled himself up next to KC. The stress and panic of loosing Sun had thrown him into his regressed state, and KC had been comforting him as best they could.

"This is my fault." Moon looked up from his hands to glare at the note Ruin had sent. "If I hadn't put Sun in the little body, then he could have protected himself, or at least been much harder to grab."

"We did what we thought would help Sun at the time, Moon. You couldn't have known that this would happen, y-"

"I should have known!" Moon snapped, interrupting Earth. "I should have at least waited until we'd gotten rid of Ruin!"

"Yeah, and honestly, you all could have just talked to Sun. Y'know, offer to find him times to regress and de-stress, instead of going behind his back and forcing him into a body he didn't want." Everyone except Moon turned to look at Golden in shock, because that is not what Moon needed right now! Golden raised an eyebrow at them. "What? I'm telling the truth and you all know it!"

Earth looked as though she was going to tell him off for that, but Moon shook his head. "He's right. Sun didn't even want to be in that body. I forced him into it, and I shouldn't have."

Moon got a determined look on his face. He stood and moved towards the door while saying, "And y'know what? I'm going to apologize and make it up to him, right after I beat that Ruined bastards ass."
~~~
"Eat!"
"No!"
"Eat!"
"No!"
"For Gods sake child, Eat the damn food!"
"Don' wanna!" Sun turned his head away the spoon being pushed into his face. He sat on a makeshift bed of pillows and blankets in a small room that could only fit him and at least one other animatronic of his size. Ruin knelt outside the door, angrily shoving a spoon of mashed potatoes in his face. "Wan' my Bubba!"
"You are not getting him!" Ruin yelled back. It had been getting angrier and angrier as the hour went on, and Sun continued to refuse to eat. "Now eat the damn food, or I will shove it down your throat!"
It once again tried to shove the spoon into his mouth, and this time Sun was tired of it.
"ARGH, WHAT THE HELL!"
Ruin yanked it's hand away from the child, who had just bitten it as hard as he could. Sun glared up at it and bared his little teeth, which now had old oil on them. He reached down, grabbed one of the blankets, and yanked it over his head so that Ruin couldn't see him.
"Go 'way!"
"UGH!" Ruin glared at the mound of blankets until it heard snickering from behind it. it whipped around and glared at Bloodmoon. "DO YOU WISH TO TRY, BLOODMOON?!"
"Oh, no." They smirked up at it, the calmer one out, as the other cackled in their mindscape. "We just think that it is funny that you let a child get one over you."
"Weakling you are!" The other chimed in, their voice filled with laughter.
Ruin threw it's hands up into the air. It turned back to Sun. "Well, don't eat then!" It snatched the plate up from the floor and turned back to bloodmoon. "If I catch either of you giving that little brat anything to eat, there will be severe punishment!"
Ruin slammed the door to the closet, leaving Sun in almost total darkness, and stormed off. Sun pushed the blanket down from his face and whimpered softly.
He really hoped that Moon would get there soon.
~~~

Moon practically slammed down the door to the daycare, using the teleporter to get up to the balcony room. "Computer!"

"Yes, Moon?"

"Run a tracker on Sun, immediately and- WHAT IS IT DOING HERE?!"

There, sitting calmly on Moon's bed, was Forkface. It slowly turned to look at Moon.

"We believe that it is here to bargain."

"Bargain?!" Moon stared at it in pure horror. Then what he was doing back here in the first place came back to him. He snarled, getting his bearings. "I don't have time to bargain. Ruin kidnapped my little brother." He stormed past Forkface, ignoring his own fear, and glared at the computer screen.

"Where does the tracker say Sun is?"

"About twenty miles from here, in one of your old bunkers."

"Great, send me the coordinates." Moon turned and jumped nearly two feet in the air, clutching his chest. "Oh my fucking-"

Forkface stood there, having moved off the bed. It and Moon stared at each other, before Moon got his bearings again. He bared his teeth at Forkface and snarled, "Out of my way." Then he stomped around it, heading back to the balcony.

He reached the hole to his room and paused as an idea came to him. He slowly turned back to Forkface. "Actually...

Maybe we can bargain."
~~~
Sun had started to regret not eating the potatoes when Ruin offered them, but it was too late now. His tummy rumbled and growled. He whimpered. Where was Moon?
Sun shuffled nervously as he heard voices, and pulled his blanket up higher.
"Yes other, but what the Ruined man doesn't know won't hurt him."
"ARGH, but I want him to hurt!"
"Yes, well, perhaps later."
"Ugh, fine."
Sun pressed himself nervously against the wall. The door creaked open and a pair of red eyes peered in. "Little Sunny man?"
Sun shifted at the two voices mixing together. Bloodmoon glanced out into the hallway, looking to see if Ruin was watching maybe, then they scrambled inside. They held a plate, which they handed to him as they closed the door and sat next to him.
Sun glanced at the food, then back at the other animatronic. "For me?"
They nodded quickly. "Yes, for you. The Ruined man doesn't know, so eat quick or starve."
Sun quickly picked up the spoon and shoved the potatoes into his mouth, not wanting to starve. As soon as he was done, they snatched the plate back from him and scrambled out the door. Sun leant back against the wall drowsily, tired now that his stomach was full.
He hadn't expected Bloodmoon to come back, but they did, sliding into the closet and closing the door behind themselves. Sun realized that they glowed a faint red light, the same way he glowed yellow. Something he hadn't noticed until now.
"The Ruined man has put us on guard duty, to watch you so that you don't try anything or that the Moon man doesn't try and get you back so easily."
"Oh." Sun blinked at them sleepily. "Thank you."
The calmer Bloodmoon stared back at him. "You are welcome, small Sunny man."
Sun frowned at them. "But why?"
"Why?" They seemed nervous. "We thought that you could help us. Or, well, I."
Sun smiled and nodded. "I'll help."
They looked relieved, but any other response they had for that was lost as Sun slipped into a doze.
He didn't notice the other animatronic curling up next to him and purring to their hearts content.
However , he did notice when the closet door was yanked open and Bloodmoon was yanked out by an enraged Ruin Eclipse.
Waking up, Sun stumbled up into a standing position. He blinked blearily up at the enraged animatronic. Realizing that Bloodmoon was dangling from the maniac's hand, Sun blinked the sleep out of his eyes and hissed up at it.
It narrowed it's eyes down at him, scoffing. "And what do you think that you're going to do?"
It tried to shove the door closed in his face, but Sun lunged forward and managed to get through before it did. Scrambling to his feet, Sun hissed up at Ruin and launched himself at it.
The force of Sun jumping on it's leg sent Ruin stumbling. It dropped Bloodmoon in it's surprise and began trying to pry Sun off.
Bloodmoon would have joined Sun, but the doorbell rang.
They scrambled down the hall and pulled open the door. For a moment, they thought that the Moon man had finally gotten there. Then they looked up.
~~~

Sun hissed as Ruin finally kicked him off. He clambered to his feet just as Bloodmoon came scrambling around the corner and jumped into him.

Sun fell back onto his back. The ceiling disappeared, and much to his surprise, him and Bloodmoon were now outside of Golden's house.

"How did we get here?"

Before Sun could even begin to try and answer that question, he heard a yell and him and Bloodmoon were swept up into KC's arms.

Y'know what, questions could wait.

Chapter 10: Cherries

Summary:

KC gives Bloodmoon some cherries.

Notes:

This one's a bit shorter today, but I hope you enjoy anyway!

Chapter Text

KC stared down at his son. Bloodmoon would not look at them, rage written all over their little face. KC was having to fight off the urge to reach down and smoosh their silicone face between his hands. Cuteness aggression, KC assumed, as it was the same feeling he got when he saw Sun as well.

"We don't want cooked food, we want blood!"

"Bloody red, running fast!"

KC frowned at them. "We... do not have any blood... or raw meat for that matter."

Kneeling down, they glanced inside the fridge, seeing very few items. One of these was a large container of cherries. This gave them an idea.

Pulling out the container, they held it up for Bloodmoon to see. "Perhaps... you could try these?"

Bloodmoon narrowed their eyes at it. "...is it blood? We thought you said that you had none!"

KC chuckled and shook their head. "And I did not lie child. These are cherries, a red fruit. It is quite sweet... but perhaps you will like it."

They pulled two bowls out of the cabinet, opening the container and spooning some of the cherries inside. Handing Bloodmoon the bowl, they said, "Do not eat the stems. They are not edible, and will wreck havoc on your insides."

Bloodmoon curiously grabbed one by the stem, inspecting it for a moment, before shrugging and popping the cherry in their mouth. A look of excitement crossed their face and they grabbed another cherry. "Not as good as blood, but still sweet!"

As they scarfed down the rest of the cherries, KC heard the sound of pattering feet. Sun peeked around the doorframe to the kitchen, curiously looking at the both of them and noticing what they had. "Cherries?"

KC held up his own bowl. "Would you like some?"

Sun scrambled into the room, clambering up into a chair. KC got him some cherries.

Chapter Text

Sun shuffled nervously on the table, watching as Moon set up his portable computer. It had the AI from the other computer in it, as they'd had to leave the arcade machine at home.

Golden watched from the doorway, tiredly waiting for Moon to get done with... whatever he was doing, so that he could check on Sun himself. "Moon, I guarantee that it would just be easier for me to look him over with magic than you setting that thing up. You're not going to find anything, as this is more than likely a magical problem."

Moon ignored him, continuing to set up the stuff. Golden huffed and seemed to decide that it wasn't worth saying anything else. He looked at Sun, "Would you like something?"

Sun hesitated, then nodded. "Drink."

"Something to drink, alright." And with that, Golden left. Sun glanced back at Moon, who had finished setting up the computer and was now unraveling a cord from the side of it.

"... Bubba?"

"Yeah Sun?" Moon pressed a button on the keyboard, watching as a little circle began spinning.

"Loading." The computer said blankly. Sun fidgeted.

"What're you doing?" Sun watched as a different screen loaded in. Moon cleared his throat, sitting back in his rolling chair.

"Well, I'm going to plug you into this thing, then I'm going to try and figure out how you managed to teleport without a magic circle." He reached out, gently moving Sun closer, reaching back and pressing the button that opened the cover over his wires.

Sun jolted away, quickly snapping the cover closed again. He didn't like that Moon hadn't asked to do that first, or even asked to look at his code. Moon blinked at him in surprise, not seeming to realize that he'd done something wrong. "...What are you doing?"

Sun shuffled some more, glancing torwards the door that Golden had left open. He paused in surprise at the person standing there.

Moon whipped around at the sound of Forkface's heavy breathing. Glaring, Moon said, "What do you want?"

Part of the agreement that Moon had made with Forkface was that it would be allowed to stay with them until the daycare was fixed. Then it would move back to the daycare, while everyone else stayed where they were, basically giving it the daycare in return for it's help getting Sun back. Moon had not thought that through.

Forkface moved carefully into the room, examining the two brothers. It seemed curious about Sun, as it moved closer to him first. Sun watched it as well, also curious about this random interruption. Moon stood his ground, though he moved his chair slightly out of the way.

Forkface crouched down in front of Sun. Sun and it stared at each other. Then Sun, with that weird disregard for his own safety that most kids seemed to have, reached out and grabbed ahold of the spike at the top of it's face.

Moon winced, already reaching out to grab Sun away. "Sunny no-"

He didn't get a chance, as Forkface stood up quickly, picking Sun up as it went. "Hey!"

Sun giggled as Forkface carried him out of the room and torwards the stairs. Moon followed behind them, demanding that it give him back. Earth came out of her room with Nova, watching curiously as it carried him away.

Forkface carried Sun outside and torwards the garden, eventually setting him down it the grass. Sun giggled, swishing his hands through the tall blades. Sun sat down just as Moon caught up.

Forkface moved in front of Moon so that he couldn't reach Sun. Giving it a wary look, Moon stepped as if to go around it. It moved again. Moon moved again. They did this a few times before Moon huffed, crossing his arms and glaring at it.

"I need to figure out what's wrong with him, so get out of my way!"

Forkface didn't move.

Sun glanced up. He reached up and grabbed Forkface's hand, pulling it down into the grass with him. "Look!"

Forkface looked down at the bugs crawling around. It nodded, reaching down and gently nudging it. Sun gasped in delight as the big rolled itself up.

Moon watched from behind them as Sun began to babble excitedly at it. It glanced back at him, and Moon swore that the look on it's face face was pure smugness. Moon snarled feeling inexplicable jealousy raising in him.

He moved forward, but was stopped by a hand on his arm. Golden stood behind him with a plastic cup in hand.

Watching Forkface intently listen to Sun's incomprehensible babbling, he shook his head at Moon.

"Today isn't the day, Moon."

Notes:

*Awkwardly glances at the other ideas slowly creeping up on me* So uh, today just isn't the day. I'm having a hard time working on this main story right now, but I'm working on some oneshots for this universe that i should be finished with soon. So be on the lookout for that too.

Anyway, I hope y'all enjoyed this chapter.

Chapter 12: Storybooks and Baby Birds

Summary:

Moon enters his mindscape, Golden has an argument, and KC finds a familiar face.

Chapter Text

Moon pressed his face into his pillow, growling angrily at the fuzzyness creeping into the edge of his vision. He didn't know what was going on, why he had such an awful headache, but he intended to find out. He tightened his grip on the pillow and allowed himself to sink down into his mindscape.

There he found... a tent? Where did that come from? Moon hesitated before going to explore it. He felt dizzy though, his head felt full of cotton. He knelt down outside of the tent and pushed open the flap that served as an entryway. He curiously slid inside, glancing around and gasping in shock as he saw everything there.

There were fairy lights strung from the roof of the tent, and multiple blankets laying on the floor to make a makeshift pallet. There were pillows and stuffed animals, and a few very fun looking storybooks thrown haphazardly around. Moon felt childish delight overtake him, his mind feeling fuzzier by the second. He slumped down into the pillows, giggling and pulling a book torwards himself.

He found himself with a toy panda in his arms, covered in blankets and reading a story about a princess being saved by a prince and then becoming good friends. It was a very nice story.

He didn't notice when the tent was zipped closed, or when his body began moving without his input.
~~~
Golden smiled down at Sun. Sun stared up at him with wide, pleading eyes. "Pease?! I wan' Moony to see!"
Sun held a small baby bird in his hands, carefully took from the ground where it had fallen. He'd brought it over to show him, but when Golden offered to help put it back in it's nest, Sun had scrambled away and demanded that he go get Moon so that Sun could show him.
Golden had already used magic to check and make sure that the bird was okay. He sighed, glancing over at Forkface and raising an eyebrow. It understood what he was asking, nodding it's head.
Golden sighed again. "Fine, I'll go get him."
Sun cheered. Golden nodded at Forkface in thanks for watching the hyperactive Sun and set out torwards the house.
It was almost completely empty today, only Moon was still inside, and only the four of them still on the property. Earth had taken Nova and Lunar down to the village to meet Montgomery Gator. KC and the twins had went off to find some food for Bloodmoon out in the forest.
Golden knocked on Moon's door. "Moon? Sun wants you to come see something really quickly, can you come down here?"
There was a bunch of grumbling from the other side of the door before it opened. Moon stood there glaring out at him, grumpy at being interrupted. His hands fluttered at his sides, nervous energy apparent, and he was still in pajamas. "What?"
Golden raised his hands in a placating gesture. "No need to get snappy. Sun wants you to come look at this baby bird that he found."
Moon huffed. It seemed that he was not in a good mood today. "Oh really, now he wants to talk to me?" His hands drew together, picking at the paint that they found.
Golden frowned at him. "What?"
Moon continued to pick at his hands as he talked. "I figured that he'd want to show his best buddy Forkface whatever he found. I mean, he hasn't been very inclined to talk to me for the past few days, since that thing showed up."
Golden stared at him, utterly bewildered. "Are you... jealous? Are you really upset cause Sun's been playing with Forkface and not you?"
Moon growled. "No! I'm annoyed that that thing shows up, tries to steal my home, and my life, and now Sun's getting all buddy buddy with it." He wasn't making eye contact with Golden, who was suddenly aware at how loud Moon's fans were. He didn't care, this was ridiculous.
"Sun is a baby, Moon! Of course he going to be 'buddy buddy ' with people, that's what he does!"
"Well, he's not always a baby!" He crossed his arms, muffling the sound of his fans as he digged his fingers into his sides.
Golden threw his hands up into the air. "He's been one for the past two months Moon! He's been regressed for that long, because you only just realized that he needed a break, so now he's coping!"
Moon didn't say anything, as he and Golden glared at each other. Then, a small voice piped up from behind Golden. "Bubba, Papa?"
Golden whipped around to find Sun standing a few feet away, watching them both warily. Sun flinched slightly at the harsh expressions on both of their faces, and Golden quickly schooled his face into something less scary. "Yes Sun? Is everything alright?"
Sun eyed them both nervously, glancing down and fidgeting with his hands. "We had ta put the birdy back in their nest cause their Mama got home, and fo'ky said that they gotta get fed."
He glanced shyly up at them, looking around Golden to see Moon. He seemed as though he wanted to ask something, but was too nervous to.
Golden smiled down him. "That's good Sunny!" As Sun smiled up at him, looking pleased, Golden heard a small huff from behind him, before the faint click of the door closing.
Sun's smile fell, staring at the just open door. Golden frowned, scooping Sun up and tickling him for good measure. "It's alright. Moony's just not feeling well... How about we get some ice cream huh?"
As Sun cheered, Golden thought about Moon's behavior and huffed internally. He better get his shit together or Golden would smack some sense into him.
~~~

KC smiled at his son's as they clambered over a log, cheering as they did an awkward looking handstand and dropped back down, holding their arms up and looking at him for approval, which he readily gave. "Well done, my children."

They giggled in delight, before sprinting ahead torwards the house.. Smiling, KC sat down on the log, deciding to take a quick break before continuing.

He found his children's hyperactivity sweet. Before, when they were all living in that bunker together, the two of them had been more wary to trust him, and he was aware that half of the things that they said and did was in self defense so that he wouldn't turn on them.

Now though, they seemed to trust him completely. He hated that it took them dying to come to that though. He hoped that nothing bad would happen to them again now.

He paused in his musings as he heard a noise from his right. Curiously, he stood and moved past the trees to find the source of the noise . He froze in shock once he did.

There was an animatronic. A Solar model from the looks of it, but it's rays were cracked and broken. Plants grew through and around them, their chest full of flower and vines, and an eye was missing and replaced with a large yellow flower. They looked awful. And unfortunately, KC believed that he knew them.

"Oh, my son." He knelt down next to him, carefully taking him up into his arms. The remaining eye whirred suddenly in it's socket until it was looking at him. He recognized it as the noise that he had heard that brought him over there. "It is alright. I have you now, Eclipse."

Notes:

Listen, I know that it's been awhile but- *turns and dives out a window*

Anyway Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate! Hope you enjoyed!

Chapter 13: Cuddles

Summary:

Sun and Lunar get cuddles. Moon sounds funny.

Chapter Text

Sun was worried about Moon. He had been holed up in his room, refusing to talk to anyone for around a week now. Golden kept keeping Sun away from there, which was annoying, he wanted to talk to his brother.

Sun peered around the corner of the hall, searching to see if anyone was there. He saw no one and resisted the urge to giggle as he thought that he was on a mission. He crept down the hall torwards Moon's room.

His plan was to go in there and ask Moon if they could cuddle. That's all he really wanted, especially since tomorrow was a very special day.

He reached up opened the door once he reached it, shuffling inside and carefully shutting it behind himself. Turning around met him with almost unending darkness and a faint glow in the corner where Moon's desk was. From the hunched figure outlined in the light, Sun realized that his brother wasn't asleep like he thought.

"Bubba!" He toddled his way torwards the light. Moon whipped around, and Sun couldn't see his face, but he had a sudden bad feeling. He ignored it in favor of latching onto Moon's chair and smiling up at him. "Bubba, I gotta question."

There was a sudden flicker of light, and Moon's face was illuminated by red light. He had turned on his LED eye lights, and he now had red pupils in a sea of black. He smiled down at Sun, "Yes, little one?"

Sun tilted his head in surprise and confusion. "Bubba, you sound funny. Tha's alright though!" He held up his arms, grinning wider as Moon pulled him up into his lap. Snuggling up to him, he mumbled up at his brother, "I wan' cuddles."

He felt Moon gently rub a hand up and down his back, and gave a small sigh of contentment. He didn't understand why Papa was so upset with Moon, his Bubba was acting fine! He just sounded a little scratchy.

Moon hummed quietly. "Cuddles? Of course you can have cuddles. I've got to finish something really quick though, then we can go lay down. That okay?"

Sun hummed in agreement, already starting to fall asleep. He had missed cuddles, he hadn't been able to get any from his brother because of Papa keeping him away.

He didn't notice the hand carefully removing the cover hiding his wires from being hurt, dozing as something was plugged into his head.
~~~
Lunar whined as he was woken by someone shaking his arm violently. "Whaaat? What do you waaaant?"
"Wakey wakey, blue gumball!"
Lunar huffed angrily at that. Why did Bloodmoon have to bother him in the middle of the night, huh? They couldn't wait until the morning at least? He lifted his head and glared at them. "What do you want?"
His glare faltered at the worried look on their face. They fidgeted with their hands, "Something is wrong with the Sun."
Lunar shifted, sitting up and frowning at them. "What do you mean?"
"We saw him going into the Moon Man's room."
Lunar blinked at that. Then he huffed, "So what? Maybe he wanted to snuggle with him." He flopped back down onto the bed grumbling as he tried to refind his comfy spot. He heard Bloodmoon shuffling around behind him and huffed. He held out a hand torwards them, "Get up here, and we can cuddle too. But I'm going back to sleep."
Bloodmoon clambered up into the bed with him, and Lunar laid himself on top of them. "Good night."
"Good night, blue gumball."
Chapter 14: Talk
Summary:
Sun and Moon talk.
Notes:
Another very short chapter, cause I'm sick, and a bunch of other stuff has happened. That ao3 author curse is real man.
On a brighter note, my birthday was a few days ago.
Chapter Text
Sun snuggled into the warm body next to his. It was very comforting. He could just fall back to sleep right there from how cozy he was...
"Sun. Sun!" Sun snapped his head up and blearily blinked up at his brother. Well, a smaller version of his brother. Moon was as small as him for some reason, and looked very worried.
"Moon?... Wha's wrong?" He sat up and rubbed at his eyes, then blinked around at the unfamiliar area. "Where are we?"
Moon looked grim. "We're in my mindscape. Something took over my body and trapped us in here."
Sun gave him a horrified look. "What! Is that why you've been acting weird for the past week?"
"I guess. I've been in here for a while, so I haven't really been able to check time changes or anything."
Sun hesitated for a moment, before asking, "Have you tried getting out...?"
Moon huffed. "Of course I've tried getting out. But... I can't reach the button."
The last part was mumbled, and Sun was unable to resist teasing his brother. "What was that?"
"I can't reach the button!" Sun fell backwards laughing as Moon hissed angrily at him. Sun could tell that he was holding back a smile though.
"See, now you know how I feel," Sun giggled. Moon frowned.
"You know that I am sorry for forcing you into this body. You needed a break, and I figured that this was the best way to make you have one. I didn't even think about how you would feel about it."
Sun blinked, surprised. "Oh... Well, thank you for apologizing."
Moon gave an akward nod, and the two of them sat in silence for a moment. Then, Sun stood and pulled Moon to his feet.
"C'mon brother, let's go look for a way out."
