Chapter Text

August 5th 1950

Encanto, Columbia... 

The sun was (un)surprisingly out and shining today over the small village of Encanto. That is mainly thanks to Mirabel's tia Pepa's relaxing evening. Today was the first day that both the Madrigals and the villagers, the farmers didn't have to do any work today. 

They can just relax... 

Enjoy the music the local mariachi band plays today. 

Read a book.

Play outside.

Fish alongside the town's river stream. 

Stop and smell the roses. 

Anything. 

So today, Mirabel decided to try something. 

She decided to find somewhere quiet and peaceful here in Encanto and draw or paint whatever she saw. However, there wasn't much place to go for her to draw at really. So Mirabel wound up just wandering around the forest paying attention to her surroundings and looking for something to paint or draw about. 

She finally made a stop as she found her muse... 

An actual field that is entirely made up of the pretties array of golden flowers. 

Mirabel decides to start drawing out the amazing field in front of her. 

Mirabel drew to her heart's content as she couldn't contain her creativity for the flowers in front of her. 

She suddenly stops drawing... 

A golden butterfly, her family's symbol flies down onto her notebook causing Mirabel to be mesmerized by its golden-colored wings. 

It soon flies off of Mirabel's notebook. As it flaps its wings, Mirabel sees a golden sparkling trail that is showing off from its wings. Mirabel soon starts to hear whispers coming from the golden trail causing her to follow this butterfly. 

It didn't take long for Mirabel to follow the butterfly to a strange cavern opening that looked different. 

Mirabel follows the butterfly into this weird cavern. 

She didn't know why she was still following the butterfly through this strange cavern but for some reason, she felt as if she needed to be here. As she walks deeper into the cavern she starts hearing whispers that become louder and louder with each floor she goes through. 

Soon enough, the whispers stop all of a sudden at the same time that the butterfly langs down on the floor. The floor that was underneath the butterfly was different. It wasn't marble, quartz, or brick that was most of the walls, ceilings, or floors like every other part of this cavern. The floor the butterfly was on top of was a large circular glass black-like surface, that had strange symbols surrounding the outer layer of the glass.

Mirabel knelt in front of the mysterious glass. 

Something deep in Mirabel's head was telling her to 'touch the glass'. Mirabel was hesitant to touch the glass, so she placed her palm on the glass which caused something entirely different to happen. 

Out of nowhere, strange blue glowing spheres underneath/inside the glass started moving on and about erratically around her hand. Scared and confused, Mirabel takes her hand off of the glass with haste - which turns out to be a bad idea. 

The symbols surrounding the glass circle started to glow as four dark blue glowing tentacles began forming out of the glass. Mirabel gasped as the tentacles soon reached out to her. She tries to run away from where she entered, but with breakneck speed, the tentacles wrap Mirabel's arms and legs causing her to fall onto the dusty floor. She tries to wiggle out of the tentacles but with no luck as the tentacles soon start dragging Mirabel toward the glass. 

In fear, Mirabel shouts her cousin's name, "DOLORES! HELP!" hoping that her cousin would hear her cries for help. 

The tentacles continue to pull Mirabel into the glass. Soon enough, Mirabel's feet were touching and entering the glass...? 

Mirabel couldn't explain why or how the glass felt like cold water when her body started entering the glass. 

She continued to try wiggling herself out from the tentacle's grip on her but no luck. 

Eventually, Mirabel was up to her neck into the glass. 

Her vision started to become blurry as her glasses were soon removed from her the deeper her head entered this weird glass. 

Instead of struggling to break out, Mirabel finally came to terms with her fate and closed her eyes allowing herself to be in the cold hands of death itself.

When her whole body finally entered the glass, her body was met with a surprisingly cold water that surrounded her.

There was a faint golden glow that surrounded Mirabel's form. 

She soon hugs herself as she is soon turned into a glowing golden ball of light. Mirabel, now a golden ball rose from the cold waters and went out through the glass not knowing that she would soon play a big role in the universe.

"Ugh," Mirabel lets out a groan of mild pain and disorientation, "Where am I?" Mirabel asks herself, not knowing where she is. "What happened to me?" She asks before a blinding light is in front of her causing Mirabel to cover her eyes from this light.

Hey everyone!

So I saw the comments, and I have to say that I wasn't expecting a lot of people to get into this fanfic.

I almost thought that it was going to be one of those fanfics that people were going to ignore or get lost through the cracks.

So I noticed that a lot of people don't like the idea of a memory wipe fanfic because the writer would find an excuse to add in their own OC, I promise you all that there will be no OCs on this fanfic. 

Just in case anyone is confused about which is which, let's go over the three choices everyone can choose from just in case: 

A). Mirabel had found a strange pond in Encanto while looking for a place to draw, she accidentally fell into the pond and came out as a partly dead mind of Arcee - A female Autobot that 'died' in the battle in Egypt. Mirabel wakes up in a shipping container and is accidentally transported to one of Sumdac Industries facilities where she is rebuilt by Issac Sumdac from the servos up. (This is one where she doesn't lose her memories) 

B). Mirabel wakes up in Arcee's body with no memory of her life before she became Arcee. She travels around the galaxy before coming to Earth and learning the fate of her predecessor's name. She soon becomes part of this new wave of Autobots while also spending time/protecting Issac Sumdac's inventions from possible Decepticon plans. 'Arcee' becomes acquainted with Issac Sumdac's little one; Sari Sumdac who views Mirabel as a mother figure. After the battle of Chicago and the hunt for the Autobots - Issac returns the favor of protecting and watching over his daughter and helps Mirabel hide. (This one where she does lose her memory as a human before becoming Arcee) 

C). Mirabel is in the body of a protoform and crashlands in a building owned by Issac Sumdac. Issac Sumdac decides not to call her in seeing that his daughter has grown a bond with Mirabel as Sari gives Mirabel a new name: Arcee (In this one she still has her memories) 

I've been looking over the votes and here are the votes so far:

Remember, the image that you all saw in the first chapter is what Mirabel would look like as a protoform for options B and C? 

Also, which look do you all prefer Mirabel AKA Arcee to look like for the rest of the series after she scans a vehicle?

The same thing form/loo for Mirabel -- Arcee will be used for A). Since Sumdac will be rebuilding Arcee she needs a vehicle form.

Location unknown... 

Planet: Unknown... 

"Ugh," Mirabel lets out a groan of mild pain and disorientation, "Where am I?" Mirabel asks herself, not knowing where she is. "What happened to me?" She asks before a blinding light is in front of her causing Mirabel to cover her eyes from this light. 

Her eyes finally registered this blinding light and she was able to see clearly. She saw that she was in what looked like a jungle of some kind, with extremely large and thick red trees. With the brightest of green leaves. She soon stands up and walks around, as she walks around, she notices that the grass was as well as bright, green, and healthy just like the leaves in the trees over her. She continued walking around the area, observing the trees, listening, and watching as the animals went about their day. The animals she saw were strange, most of the animals resembled actual plants. She saw a group of small and slightly chubby and round animals walking on four legs seeing her. Frightened, they ducked down, and instantly their bodies split into four ways and in the center was like the pollen vines in a flower. 

Mirabel lets out an "Awe! So cute." She walked away from the plant animals and continued walking, oblivious of her height. As she is walking to look at the natural beauty of the forest she comes across a part of the terrain that is covered with holes and trenches that were caused by pumpkin-like animals that dig holes and trenches for their homes. Eventually, Mirabel trips into one of the trenches and is about to fall flat on her face, luckily, she can stop herself from falling. Her hand grabbed hold of a tree near her and her knee hit the ground. Mirabel let out a sigh of relief for not falling on her face. As she picks herself up, she stops herself. 

She used a tree to stop herself from falling so... 

How come she didn't feel any splinters, or feel pain or anything from grabbing hold of the tree at all? 

She looked at her hand and when she looked at her hand it shocked her. 

Her hand on her shoulder was metal. Full on metal. Pink and white painted metal. 

She gets up from the ground and continues looking at her hand. She was curious so she looked at her other hand and arm and saw the same thing. Her eyes wander downward and sees that her feet are now metal as well. She started to walk forward in shock at her feet. She tried to feel her face but she didn't feel anything. As she walks blindly more into the forest, she doesn't notice that she is coming towards a cliff and ultimately falls down the cliff. When she finally stops rolling and tumbling down the hill, she lands in front of a pond. She wanted to see her reflection quickly to see what her metal arms looked like and anything else that had changed. 

When she looked at her reflection she was in silent horror. 

Looking and seeing at her face - or someone else's face - in the reflection of the pond and soon enough she saw what her entire body looked like. Mirabel was beyond shocked at seeing her appearance. She couldn't figure out why but - for some reason seeing this figure felt wrong and off at the same time. And at the same time - she let out a scream of terror.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Time Skip... 

After some time, freaking out, Mirabel ends up exploring the area a little more while figuring out what is happening to her. She tried to remember what she was doing before she ended up here in a jungle on a planet different from hers, but, she couldn't remember anything.

She couldn't remember how she came here to this place.

What she was doing before then could have gotten her here.

Most of all, she couldn't remember her name or what she looked like before now. 

Whatever the case was, Mirabel needed to keep moving to at least find some clue that could tell her what happened to her. 

Everything was becoming strange. Beyond strange. 

As she was searching throughout the jungle with curious, determined, scared, worried eyes, she soon became engulfed with the natural beauty of the planet. True, she needed to find out what happened but she marveled at the natural beauty that her worries nearly melted away. 

However, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows on the planet... 

On the other side of the jungle or forest was a ship and a duo of species like Mirabel is now, except, they're not as friendly as her. 

Time skip... 

After Mirabel's freak-out, she began walking through the forest some more to find anything that could help her. Anything. Except, what she was looking, it wasn't help, it was the opposite of help and it came looking for her. Two metal beings like Mirabel only taller, more scary than Mirabel found her. They found her through the air as they began opening fire upon Mirabel. Mirabel saw how these flying vehicles that were hunting her, opening fire on and destroying the beauty of this world for no reason transformed into beings like her. 

They stood in front of her and began attacking her. Mirabel, not knowing how to fight began running as fast as she could away from them. 

As she ran through the forest, the two beings were chasing after her on foot and were trying to shoot her down as well. 

Eventually, Mirabel was able to cause the two to separate from each other which ultimately caused only one of them to chase after her. The bot chased after her and continued his pursuit after her. Mirabel soon came close to falling off of the edge of a cliff that led down to the ocean and right towards an area of jagged rocks. The robot with the one eye soon comes up behind Mirabel and tackles her causing both to be thrown off of the cliff. However, Mirabel was lucky to land in the water, while the robot with the one eye was not. 

He landed and was impaled by one of the jagged rocks. 

Mirabel has never seen such a brutal scene before in her life. 

She approached the dead metal man and saw a symbol on his chest. It was a symbol that she had never seen before, but, in her head, she knew that she saw it before, but in her head, she felt as if she has seen this symbol before and it brought anger, worry, and silent horror to her for some reason. 

She heard the sounds of what she can assume to be a roar of some kind, the same kind that these metal beings were when they were flying vehicles to hunt her down from the sky. The last metal being came into view and started flying towards Mirabel's location. Mirabel took a couple of steps back when her foot landed and stopped on an item from the metal being that was impaled behind her. She turns around to find what she stepped on. 

(This will be her gun for the entire fanfic. Plus it feels like a gun that Arcee the Badass would have) 

Mirabel grabs the blaster without knowing what it can do. As she fumbled trying to get a handle on it, she was clabbered and lost on how to use and hold it as well. One movement led to another causing her finger to pull the trigger. A red bolt of energy shot out of the blaster, going through the sky, and ultimately hitting its target, the energy bolt hit directly at the two-eyed being right in his wing and exploded on impact. The second metal man crashed onto the ground transformed back into his full body and ran towards Mirabel. 

Mirabel now knows how to use the blaster, ish, she tries pointing or aiming the blaster at the metal man and pulls the trigger multiple times. Some of those bolts missed him, while others hit him on point. His hand, shoulder, knees, chest, and near his heart were shot at. Finally, the last three bolts hit him directly in his head. The heat from those bolts melted his metal head and created a melted hole. 

He now lies dead in the sand. 

Mirabel drops the blaster collapses on the ground and passes out. 

Time skip... 

It was night time when Mirabel woke up, she was greeted by both of the dead metal beings she just killed. 

She was horrified beyond belief by the murder she had just done, even though it was self-defense. 

Mirabel left the area and began wandering around through the jungle aimlessly, as the visions and sight of their deaths haunted her. She paid no mind to her surroundings or time as she wondered around that time had passed by fast. It was soon mid-day when she bumped into the ship of the two metal beings she just killed. 

She walked into the ship and found it spacious and scary as well. After a minute of looking through the ship, she came across something with a lit glass window with words on it. Mirabel didn't know or recognize the language but somehow she knew what it all meant and how to understand it as well.

With this somehow knowledge of information and understanding of this language, Mirabel decided to use this ship's knowledge and understand everything about the two people she killed and everything else. She was learning about The Decepticons led by Megatron - ruthless warmongers who destroy and conquer all that is in their path. The Autobots are led by Optimus Prime - their mission is to ensure peace among the worlds and freedom as well. She stopped mid-way from the information when a Decepticon report came in from all channels. 

From what she could tell it was a report from some Decepticons on Earth, informing any Decepticons from outside the planet Earth about the death of the Fallen. Mirabel decided to read this report thoroughly. There was a device that could blow up suns to harvest energon on planets like Earth, the Fallen the original Decepticon wanted to use it to destroy Earth. Optimus Prime came back to life and killed him and Megatron went into hiding on Earth. Mirabel soon read this list of casualties on the Autobots' side who died during the battle of Egypt. Before she could read it, another report came in - it was a request demanding that Decepticons from nearby sectors come to Earth for a mission of great importance. 

Mirabel was going to Earth to warn the Autobots or maybe something else. But right now she wanted to see the casualty list. 

It was a short list. 

A very short list. 

Elita-One

Arcee

That name at the bottom: Arcee. 

Arcee. 

Mirabel didn't know why but - that name, it called out to her. 

Mirabel using the Decepticon computers looked more into Arcee and found her interesting. She read everything about this female Autobot and found her, actually inspirational - despite being one of three victims of a Decepticon science experiment she continued to fight Decepticons. She was strong, fierce, deadly, loyal, brave, and agile as well - these felt like the things that Mirabel wanted to be. She wants to be like Arcee. Mirabel felt... Attracted to Arcce. Mirabel didn't know why but she felt like like the name Arcee needed to continue. 

Mirabel didn't know her name at all.

What was her name?

If she couldn't remember her name before waking up-then she was going to need a brand new name. 

She needed a name. 

What kind of name should she take? 

She didn't have many names that she could take at all. 

However, 

There was one name that she kind a bit liked. 

Arcee... 

That name: Arcee, it was strong to Mirabel, it was tough, agile, and fast. 

She didn't know why but, she had a feeling that the name Arcee was right for her.

She felt bad for taking her name so she could use it. 

"Arcee... I like the name," She looks at the Decepticon computer that shows an image of the current image of Arcee, "Please forgive me for using your name - I promise to make right by using your name." Mirabel says to the photo of Arcee, promising to live up to the name:

3 months later...

Earth...

Washington, DC...

Washington Port...

Mirabel arrived on Earth about three days ago and met the Autobots as well. She told them that she came here to warn the Autobots about the Deceptions' demand that all Decepticons come to Earth for whatever mission, that was unclear. When asked who she was, she answered 'Arcee'. It was there that Optimus had asked more about Mirabel's or Arcee's origins. She told them that she woke up on a strange alien planet with no memory of herself or anything else. How she killed two Decepticons by accident and how she learned about the message/demand for more Decepticons on Earth. 

Lastly, she told them that she learned/read about Arcee and named herself after her in homage to her. 

The Autobots needed to talk to the N.E.S.T. commander, leader, and the President about the possible coming of more Decepticons coming to Earth. 

They sort of left Arcee by herself in the room, clearly regretting naming herself after a fallen warrior and team member. She soon walked out of the base and wandered around for a bit before coming up on a storage facility that N.E.S.T. and the Autobots use for various items. One of those items was a grave. She saw the shipping containers that had the names of the fallen comrades of the Autobots since they came to Earth.

And finally... 

"Arcee." 

Arcee stood in front of the shipping container that held the dead body of Arcee(OG) - her namesake. 

She goes down on one knee and gives her thoughts and prayers. As she does, Optimus Prime sees her from the distance as he talks to his Earth allies about the possible Decepticons coming to Earth. When Arcee was done, she wandered off near the edge of the port and sat down, with her legs over the edge and dangling over the water. She was depressed and filled with guilt as she saw the Original Arcee's grave and felt horrible for taking her name. "Maybe it was a bad idea to come here." She said to herself. 

Well, she hoped that it was to herself. 

"Or maybe it was a good idea to come." Said Optimus Prime as he walked towards her with her back facing him. 

His sudden voice out of nowhere scared Arcee and caused a jump scare which also caused her to jump into the water. "AHH!" Splash! Her hand grabs the edge of the port and she hoists herself back up and spits out water. "Dios mio senior, don't scare me like that." Optimus gives her a helping hand and brings her back onto dry land. 

"It was never my intention of scaring you young one. I apologize." Optimus says, apologizing to Arcee. 

Arcee sits back down and says, "It's okay sir, you didn't know." 

Optimus soon sits beside her and says, "And I can see that you are filled with regret about your choices, do you wish to talk about these feelings of yours?" 

Arcee replies and speaks up, "It's just that - When I woke up or became online I had nothing about me and after those two Decepicreeps attacked me and I found out about Arcee and her achievements it was just really amazing! She is mean and amazing, she did so much good and was the strongest person I have ever heard of. She was the first name that I felt so-so-so strong about ever. When I heard about all she did and her death," she clunches her right hand, "I felt sad that she was gone forever and I wasn't going to see or meet her ever. She became my idol." She frowns as she brings her knees to her chest, "I didn't have a name or anything, but when I heard about Arcee, something about her name, I felt like maybe," 

Optimus knows what she means and says, "Maybe such a warrior's name is right for you?" Arcee looks at him and nods her head. Optimus thinks momentarily before saying, "Young one, in the time I have been on Earth, I have heard of people being named after famed men and women. Issac Newton, Albert Einstein, Elizabeth, Martin Luther King Jr. and so many more, it not uncommon for many to be named after great innovators, pioneers, and so many more who have made themselves a part of Earth's history." 

Arcee becomes frustrated a bit and says, "But aren't you at least a bit mad at me for taking your teammate's name? Especially after she died months ago?" 

Optimus shakes his head as he says back, "No young one, I am not, although the timing of when the original Arcee, my friend, passed was a short time ago, you were both; just been born and were inspired by her by actions and character. It is not uncommon for such an action to happen to be named after someone who made the ultimate sacrifice despite everything telling them not to." Optimus then finds a silver lining to Arcee's arrival. "And I am glad that you arrived." 

Arcee perks up, "You are?" 

Optimus then says, "I am young one, it is because of you we are now aware of the potential Decepticon attack that will come to Earth. And with you here, we may have more of a fighting chance against the Decepticons as well. We need every Autobot available and you Arcee, are one of those Autobots." 

Arcee smiles and says, "Thank you Optimus," She then stands up at attention and says, "I won't let you down, SIR!" She then salutes him. 

Optimus chuckles slightly under his breath as he says, "Then let's get you properly acquainted with Earth and your fellow Autobots, Arcee." Arcee smiles to herself at hearing that Optimus Prime is referring her to her name. "Though I must say, I have never seen a Cybertronian like you before." He is referring to the fact that Arcee's design is different from the Autobots and the Decepticons as well, as well as her face which seems to be a sort of liquid-like metal that shows her facial expression better than others. I think that we can all agree that all Cybertronians(Bayverse) look like mangled-up robots with parts of their vehicle modes in their robot modes. But Arcee is different, a good different. "I think that you're uniqueness will make you a great addition to the Autobots." 

"I'm glad to hear that sir. Autobots - Fight on." 

Hours later... 

After being acquainted with her fellow Autobots, along with getting the Autobot insignia on her and Arcee scanning a vehicle form. Arcee was on the path of hunting down Decepticons on Earth. 

Arcee soon walked out of the scanner bay where the new Autobots had come to Earth so they could scan their Earth modes. 

And she chose the right car. 

However...

There was a problem... 

"You don't know how to transform?" Ironhide asked out loud as he was shocked to hear that Arcee didn't know how to transform. 

"Or how to drive in my vehicle mode. Or know how to fight," Arcee added. 

Ratchet asks, "How did you not know how to do either?" 

Arcee answers, "Because I was on a ship for about 3 months and I didn't have much reason to exit or to transform either. And me killing those Decepticons was a fluke. The only time I had to fight them was when I was in the ship and I had a firefight with them in space." She then asks Ironhide, "Could you, teach me how to fight, por favor?" Hoping that the team's weapon expert would help her out greatly in their fight against the Decepticons. 

Ironhide sighs and says, "Fine rookie, I'll help you." He answers, Causing Arcee to smile. "We'll meet at one of the hangers for shooting practice. Try to keep up rookie." 

Arcee stands at attention as she solutes, "Sir, yes sir!" 

"This might take a while." 

Two weeks later... 

After spending two weeks on Earth, along with the following activities/training, learning to transform, drive, target practice, and teamwork with both; Autobots and N.E.S.T. units she was even introduced to Leonx and his team. At one point she even met his daughter who became a fan of her. During those two weeks, Arcee got the chance to fight along with her fellow Autobots and N.E.S.T. when it came to fighting and hunting down a few Decepticons that came to Earth because of who they assumed to be the demand of Megatron.

After two weeks, Arcee decided to get some upgraded gear from the Autobots' scientist: Wheeljack. 

Arcee walked into the area where Wheeljack would normally do his invention like creating brand-new weapons for the Autobots. As she walked, Arcee marveled at the sight of holovids showing blueprints for everything that the Autobots needed along with tables or contains acting as tables to hold Wheeljack's weapons and bombs as well. 

"Do you need something rookie?" Said a British voice behind Arcee. She turns around and sees the chief scientist of the Autobots standing beside and over a shipping container-turned table with equipment for his next invention. 

"Wheeljack?" 

"Yes, that will be me." 

"Oh, uh, I came because I wondering if I could have another weapon besides my blaster?" Arcee asks. 

He thinks for a moment, "I think I might have some ideas," he then asks her, "How would you say is your agility like?" He then proceeds to look into some Cybertronian containers that he might be able to give to Arcee. 

Arcee answers, "So far I think it's going good, but I do not have what the humans say an acrobat skills set."

"Okay then," he still looks for the item. He eventually comes across something that might work. "How you say about this?" He pulls out a dark blue hand which looks like a handle for a sword of some kind. But that idea is thrown out of the window when he presses the light blue button on the handle. And energy rope stroughts out of the handle and said energy rope is electric. "Is this tool something you are interested in?" 

Arcee stood there shocked at the electric energy whip before. She then says, "Yes a hundred percent yes!" She then takes the whip and starts a little practice. 

"Okay, but there is no way that you'll cut off your hand also be careful of that thing as well." 

Arcee nods her head and says, "Of course. Man, I can't wait to show Bumblebee this!" She then rushes out of the lab wanting to show her teammates her new toy. 

...From the distance and outdoors, Wheeljack hears, "Wheeljack, something bad happened..." 

"Oh, Primus..."
