Chapter Text
Eclipse hummed softly, working at the Security desk at the daycare. He could feel his mechanical parts working with a near painful creak as the old endo he had tried to fix up groaned bitterly. This body he was forced to inhabit had a lot of issues, and Eclipse accepted them as he believed he deserved it.
Lunar watched from his little perch up in one of the play structures, quietly staring down at Eclipse. The little bot knew this wasn’t his Eclipse, the one from his dimension who had…killed…him… but right now this one, this Nice and Gentle Eclipse looked exactly like his more murderous counterpart. Just looking at him made Lunar want to scream, cry, and freeze up all at once. Earth had gone out of the Daycare for a moment with a promise not to wander far in this alternate dimension, just wanting to go see if there were any different movies in the little theater nearby.
Lunar just continued to watch, hearing the painful sounding creaks from Eclipse’s body, the tired sighs as the older animatronic worked tirelessly to keep this Daycare in working order since the Moon and Sun here couldn’t.
Speaking of which..Lunar moved back, hiding fully in the structure while he watched the slightly unhinged Moon of this dimension come stomping up towards the security desk where Eclipse worked.
“Hey Mistake! Have you seen Monty around? He was supposed to bring some things from P&S for Sun.”
A heavy sigh.
“No Moon, I haven’t seen Monty. Why would you ask him to get you items that we can easily order?”
“There’s some parts I want to give my brother that need to be updated, since you obviously weren't taking care of Sun’s body!”
Lunar could see Eclipse bite back a comment from the way his body froze, but Moon had already sauntered off. Lunar could hear the alternate of his brother like figure grumbling, hearing how the deranged Naptime attendant grumbled about tearing apart Eclipse’s AI next to possibly find a code to wake Sun…
Lunar didn’t realize he had moved after Moon left till he heard another sharp gasp, the smaller bot looking up at Eclipse as he slipped closer. Steam escaped through hidden vents as Lunar’s gears worked overtime, trying to keep from locking up in fear.
Eclipse stood still, watching the small - so so small…- younger bot come closer. He slowly, slowly, eased down to sit in one of the chairs to try and look less intimidating. Lunar was shaking, and a part deep in Eclipse’s processors near demanded that he scoop the younger bot up to soothe and protect.
Lunar took a few steps, stopping and squeezing his eyes shut every moment or so before he got close enough. Before he could convince himself not to go through with it, despite his processors firing on max and getting dangerously close to a restart, he threw his arms up towards Eclipse.
“Uppies.”
A moment.
Two.
Silence reigned supreme as Eclipse stared down in shock at Lunar who held his shaking arms up towards him. If Eclipse could cry, or choke on a breath he would but his voice box glitching was a close stand in. Slowly, deep red and black arms moved towards the trembling child that was Lunar, the hands slipping under his arms with such gentle slowness that Lunar felt himself release a little steam in relief.
Eclipse picked Lunar up, curling the smaller bot into his arms and lap like he would one of the toddlers of the daycare. Lunar squeezed his eyes shut, staying as still as possible as he was moved and coddled.
Eclipse was…warm. Not as warm as Sun, and not as soft as Earth, but had a gentleness about the way he held Lunar that made the traumatized animatronic feel safer.
“Lunar….what….?”
“I came to deal with my trauma….I can help with yours.”
“But I don’t….”
Lunar huffed, resting his head on Eclipse’s shoulder, his smaller hands moving to play with his clothes.
“You’re not treated nicely here…It wasn’t your fault, what happened to this Sun…you should come home with us, get out of this…bad place.”
Eclipse startled, about to respond when he noticed Lunar entered Sleep Mode, the sensitive mechanics in his body needing a rest as Lunar’s eyes closed and body go limp.
Eclipse sighed, rocking the sleeping boy gently as he gazed out at his Daycare with a mournful look. Perhaps….he should leave. Sun wasn’t…nothing he or Moon had done had awoken their sunny brother, and Moon’s actions and treatments had steadily grown worse and worse. Eclipse had worked so hard to try and keep the Daycare running, to keep FazBears from coming in and permanently decommissioning Sun and Moon…
But for what…? Moon made it abundantly clear Eclipse wasn’t wanted, and had hammered it into Eclipse’s servos how much it was his fault that Sun was…unresponsive. Even if it wasn’t, even if it had been an unseen error when they had split apart.
Even when Eclipse wanted nothing more than to see the yellow ball of sunshine awake and moving just as much as Moon, so much that his core hand nearly broken multiple times from the grief and guilt.
Eclipse hummed, curling his arms more protectively around Lunar.
“Perhaps I will, Little Lu…..Perhaps I will.”
Behind them, close enough to hear but not be seen, Earth smiled softly from behind the door. Looks like they’d need to start planning a space for Eclipse to move into back home. Maybe they could help him fix up the body he was forced into as well, changing it from its current appearance into something more meaningful for his new life.
Earth had wanted to go out and fight that other Moon so badly, a dark, twisting ball of anger curling in her wires when she had heard the hateful tone and words that had been shot at Eclipse. She had seen how..tired and worn down Eclipse was - not just that body which still needed parts repaired or updated but his AI as well. This place was emotionally and mentally toxic, a certifiable wasteland of toxicity, gaslighting, and manipulation.
And she got all of that in just a few small interactions with this Eclipse and hearing how the other Moon spoke to him.
No one deserved to be treated like they were a mistake, or a burden.
And Earth was determined to make sure her boys got through this. This Eclipse was part of her family now, and by the Creator she would fight anyone who harmed him.

"..And I wish he just didn't, and I need space and I-I'm really scared and..! I just wish Lunar wasn't around right now!"
Lunar froze, the lights of his eyes dimming so far it could have been mistaken as completely off. Earth was crying, letting her emotions out in a torrent of sobs and words to Solar inside the house. Lunar was going to take Solar's advice to come inside from the storm...the storm Lunar had unintentionally created but...it seemed Earth had the same idea to seek out Solar to confide in.
Her words repeated in his mind, stuck in a loop like a record on repeat or like those silly tiktok videos he sometimes like to scroll through. His hand fell off the doorknob, and he turned around. Soundless, without thought, his feet just carried him away from the home where Sun and Moon lived...away from Solar and the comfort the older animatronic offered...away from Earth...who he hurt...who he traumatized ...
Lunar didn't come back to awareness till he felt himself sinking into the ballpit at the Daycare, the area void of anyone. The computer was saying something, as Lunar waded through the colorful plastics to the deepest part. Lunar had enough awareness to speak back.
"Activate portal to...where-ever... Somewhere far...far away so I can't...so I can't hurt or scare anyone anymore...its not like they need me anyway? Earth is great with the younger kids...Solar's here...Sun and Moon are....well Moon's stable and Sun's healing I think.... but...I'm not needed. Erase what ever logs you keep too...I don't...want them wasting time trying to come get me."
Lunar wasn't sure why the Computer was listening to him, as he felt the tug at his torso as the portal activated, sucking himself and a couple of the plastic balls inside.
He just wanted to disappear. If he did, then his out of control powers wouldn't torment everyone. Gemini wouldn't ... look at him in such disappointment and coldness anymore. Earth wouldn't be afraid...Sun and Moon would have one less useless problem....
Solar....well...Solar wouldn't have to have the constant reminder that the body he had was a mirror image of the evil Eclipse' anymore, at least not from Lunar - who still awoke from every recharge with nightmares pounding through every circuit in his body.
Lunar's smiled, it was small, weak, but genuine. Humans got rid of anything they found useless or unneeded, sometimes even themselves, so why not animatronics? At least this way, Lunar wouldn't be another burden on everyone!
Even as time and space whirled around him in a colorful lightshow, catapulting his body far off into the recesses of dimensions, he smiled. He didn't even feel the tears coming from his eyes anymore, floating around him like bubbles despite how fast it felt like he was traveling. Yeah...this was a good thing, and that thought brought him a modicum of comfort. If he wasn't needed, then the least he could do was not be a burden otherwise, right? Goodness! How many events and things could have been avoided if Lunar had just stayed dead in the first place?
Earth wished he wasn't around anymore...so he granted her wish.

Solar knew something was wrong, but for the life of Sun he couldn't figure it out...at first. Everyone was busy helping to comfort Earth after that horrible event, taking turns to take her out to the park on sunny days, turning her into a goose which had made her so happy that Solar even had recorded the entire thing on his phone and via the security tapes in the Daycare. (Which was very openly shared between everyone). But something was still...off.
He figured it out after another day, when he had gone to where Lunar lived to check up on the tiny bot. The door was broken in, and sitting on the couch was Jack, just...staring. Mumbling to himself as if he was stuck in an endless error. That gave Solar a cold feeling deep in his core, and he checked throughout the house. Lunar wasn't there, and Jack wasn't responding at all even when Solar gave the commands that should have fixed the error through a soft reboot.
Solar cursed at himself before running out, immediately dialing the number to contact Moon. Solar had wanted to give Lunar time! Didn't want to approach and make matters worse for the emotionally unstable bot, but that was the wrong choice. After Moon was contacted, Solar contacted Monty, then Freddy, Roxanne, Chica...everyone. No one had seen Lunar, some even suggested that it was for the best. That perhaps Lunar was just taking some time alone after everything.
Solar knew it was wrong. Sun knew too. Together those two went over every bit of footage from everything trying to find a hint of where Lunar had gone. They...didn't like what they found.

Earth was feeling comfortable again, still very shaken up, and still having nightmares and sporadic panic attacks, but better than she had been just a week prior. But Earth was also very observant, she noticed everyone seemed on edge again, even though there had been no attacks or other terrible situations (Kmart Karen aside). No one seemed eager to tell her though, just saying not to worry and that she deserved to relax...that it was nothing. Currently, she was heading towards the SuperStar Daycare, trying to find Monty...or Solar.. or even Sun and Moon. She wanted to ask Sun if he wanted to play a game with Earth now since Moon had did a couple with her already. She smiled as she went to open the large, heavy doors that led inside (designed to look like Oak but was more like thick metal for security) when she froze. She leaned her head against the door, staying quiet as she heard noises inside, coming from the left...at the security desk. It was..her voice?
"...I-I'm really scared and..! I just wish Lunar wasn't around right now!"
Confused, she quietly opened the door, looking over. Sun, Solar, Moon, and Monty were gathered around the desk. To the side, Freddy and Jack. Monty saw her first, just...silently waving her over. The tension was so thick, it felt like Earth was wading through quicksand as she moved to Monty's side, slipping her hand into theirs for comfort.
"Do you remember saying that, Earth?"
She looked to Solar, who didn't even look in her direction as his eyes stayed glued to the screen.
"Y-Yes? Back at Sun and Moon's house when you tried to...help mediate between Lunar and I. Why?"
Solar sighed, and for the first time in a while Earth could see just how rundown the bot was, chipping paint, creaking joints, silicone broken and torn in areas where it should have been whole. It was Sun who answered, and Earth stuttered when she heard just how...defeated and sad Sun was, as emotionally worn down as Solar was physically if not more.
"Well,...Lunar heard your wish it seems..."
"W-What do you mean?"
Earth's world turned black, her mind raging so badly it forced her systems into a restart. All the while, Moon's quiet voice echoed on repeat.
"Lunar's gone."

Chapter Text
Lunar growled at the large hands trying to sneak up on him again, watching the gold-tipped fingers flinch back as he turned to stare up at this dimensions Sun. Standing at 12ft, this Sun had a more expressive face with soft silicone. The crescent side was a soft yellow while the darker side on the right was darker - close to gold- and his eyes had bright blue irises with a gold pupil. Unlike Lunar's Sun back home, this one was in a full outfit, with a dark brown vest over a long puffy sleeved yellow shirt with red clouds and matching pants. The bells on the wrists, ankles, and shoes were shaped like suns and were made of silver, and he still had the large red ruffles around his hips and neck. The rays around his head started off at a deep gold color and faded to a bright yellow at their tips in a pretty gradient as well, one that shimmered with sparkles like they were made of glitter glue.
Sun pouted, upset he got caught as his brother laughed, drawing Lunar's attention to the 13ft animatronic behind the pouting ball of sunshine. The Moon here was in a similar outfit, but with a black vest and deep navy shirt with little rainbow colored stars littering the shirt and pants. The crescent on his face was an opal white while the darker end was midnight blue. The eyes were both pure black with a red pupil, and the nightcap Moon wore was so long that the end of it reached his hips and had a fluffy snow white rim around where it sat on his head. Moon's bells were gold, and shaped like little stars while his ruffles were black with a golden trim.
In this dimension, Sun and Moon were so popular with the public that Fazbears Entertainment had a much much higher budget and gave them a lot more freedom on how the Daycare was ran. Why they were allowed to be so damn big was unknown but the layers of silicone and padding made them very popular with the children and even adults and teenagers. Lunar was absolutely dwarfed here, and for some reason both the bigger animatronics were obsessed with wanting to hold or cuddle the tinier bot.
Lunar still remembered waking up from his little dimensional transport in the ballpit, struggling to get out of the swimming pool sized area before a hand had grabbed him like he was a irate kitten. His first meeting with Sun was filled with a lot of screams...and a lot of cursing.
Lunar had been here a week now, lost in his thoughts as he tried not to get in the way of the larger animatronics during business hours as well as trying to avoid them at night. They wouldn't let him leave the daycare which was very annoying, something in their systems pinging him as a child even though they were very aware he wasn't. They weren't the only one's he was adamant about dodging though....
That honor belonged to this dimensions Eclipse. Standing at 16ft tall, with four arms, he was the most adamant about keeping Lunar in sight. Eclipse had a coloring scheme that made Lunar think of Solar back home, the crescent on the left side a soft orange while the darker right side was a pale shade of dark red. He had two sets of rays, one with a gradient of deep red to orange and the set behind that orange to yellow. His outfit as a mix of Sun and Moon, but lacked any ruffles on the neck or hips and had simple gold stripes on the shirt and pants. He had a deep, soothing voice and apparently had decided that Lunar was his charge.
Much to Lunars chagrin.
"Now now Sun, Lunar already said he didn't want to be grabbed without warning didn't he?"
Speak of the devil of metal himself, Eclipse walked into the Daycare area, stretching his upper set of arms while the lower set was carrying a box of electronics.
"B-But he's so SMALL! And squishy! I just wanna cuddle him!"
Sun pouted, the high pitched whine making Lunar wish he was human so medications would get rid of the headache. Moon took Sun away, off to plan the next week's agenda for the daycare which helped distract the sunny bot. Lunar was left with Eclipse again, moving to stay a good distance away which made the bigger one sigh.
"I'm not going to grab you, Lunar. We already told you we'd keep you safe while you're here. Don't you think you've been here long enough though? I'm sure your family misses you."
"I don't see why they would....I'm just...nothing but a threat and a burden to them! I lost control of myself and blew someone up! In front of my sister!"
"Right,..the other Eclipse. The one that your Sun and Moon killed but got praised for yet you lose control and kill him and you're feared."
"I..shouldn't have lost control though...Just cause he killed me doesn't mean its right for me to blow him up..not in front of Earth...Not like that..."
Eclipse sighed, patting Lunar's head as he sat down beside the smaller bot, laying back so he wasn't towering over Lunar.
"And you think hiding out in a far off dimension just barely connected to your own with the smallest strangs was a good idea?"
Lunar was quiet, and Eclipse cut a sharp look to him.
"Did you come to a random world hoping to die, Lunar?"
There was silence, not even the usual daycare music playing at the moment. Eclipse groaned harder, reaching over and grabbing Lunar and holding the smaller bot against his chest as he stood. He didn't even care as Lunar struggled, or the zaps of electricity that came off him as Eclipse walked to the ballpit.
"Go home Lunar. You and this Earth-girl need to sit down and talk. Properly. Her fear is valid and so is your emotions. Your actions were...extreme but no one ever said that healing was linear or made sense."
Lunar pouted, being dropped off on the little island like spot inside the ballpit as he looked behind. Despite how gruff and uninterested this Eclipse was, he knew the bigger bot was right as he tucked down into the pit, activating a small button that would zap him home. At least he knew he could come back if he needed.
_______
Eclipse felt the tug when the portal opened and closed, his scans showing that the small bot was no longer in his dimension. Sun and Moon stood behind, sulking that Lunar had left but it was for the best. Eclipse opened his chest compartment after adjusting his clothes and tossed his Moon some documents, making the other grin ferally. It was blueprints about the nanomachines Eclipse had studied that made up Lunar's body. This would help them with some major upgrades for not only themselves but to build their very own 'Lunar' in this dimension. And if Lunar came back from his own needing an escape? Well, the three giant animatronics would keep his room that he stayed in ready.

Chapter Text
The portal flickered, Moon shouting for Sun to lead the children to the theater quickly as Lunar and Earth rushed in after hearing the distressed screams.
Everyone was tired, what could possibly happen now?!
A form slowly emerged - it wasn't the 'POP' like before, whatever was coming through was to big to do at once.
First an leg, then another... to the hips, waist, then two sets of arms as the being slipped through the portal. Lunar had an inkling of who it was just from that but the colors differed than when he saw them before.
Eventually the head came out, and the portal sputtered out like it was exhausted trying to let the 16ft behemoth free from itself.
"Well, that was..unpleasant...might need to do a few upgrades on that..."
Their voice was deep, nice and smooth and it had something like a siren's drawl, making those who heard it stutter for a moment as if under a spell before it faded. They looked around curiously for a moment, moving into a sitting position so he wasn’t towering over everything before his gaze settled on Lunar, and his smile widened.
“Lunar!”
Lunar fell back, gazing at the huge animatronic in something close to either fear, annoyance, or amazement. Perhaps a mix of all three. Earth dropped to her knees beside him, wrapping her arms around him protectively as Moon and Sun both took up protective stances much to the giants amusement.
_______
Eclipse gazed at the group of much smaller animatronics with a careful gaze, making sure he looked as little as a threat as possible. He had been terrified for the little animatronic when the dimensional wipe occurred, but it had taken an annoying amount of time to not only recalibrate and fix his portal but to also make sure his own Sun and Moon wouldn’t follow after him. They couldn’t risk leaving their own dimension without someone watching right now.
“Ah, my appearance might be a bit different than you remember, but you visited my dimension a few months ago. I’ve gone through some updates and changes since then obviously. My Sun and Moon were very adamant that I express how much we wished to see you again, as well as hopefully find some answers to the Dimensional Wipe that occurred?”
Eclipse kept his voice quiet and steady, gazing out over at the occupants before him. It warmed his core to see how protective the little family was of each other, and he was very interested in seeing how different the Sun and Moon were here. He didn’t move from his sitting position, keeping himself very still as Moon approached.
“Are you a threat?!”
Eclipse hummed softly, amused at how hostile and weary this small Moon was but smiled.
“Maybe to anyone self-destructive enough to not care for themselves and lash out in anger first?”
Moon sputtered, glaring at Eclipse with so much anger that the giant thought for a moment he overstepped, before Moon sighed with a heavy groan.
“Touche,...sorry, we don’t get…many NICE visitors through the portal, especially one we thought we had closed.”
It was Eclipse’s turn to wince. “Ah…so that’s why it had so much trouble traveling through. My apologies..?”
“Nah…nah it’s…well its not FINE, but now I know something like that is possible I can add in fail safes maybe.”
Eclipse hummed, not liking how tired and just…exhausted everyone looked. A quick question for permission had him standing slowly and moving out of the tiny ballpit and into a more open area where he sit back down comfortably now. His gaze turned to Earth, after he scooped up Moon and Sun to settle the two bots in his lap.
They were not happy about it, but with how soft his pants were as well as the warmth and the energy share he turned on? They quieted.
“You must be Earth, yes? Lunar told us much about you when he was with us.”
Earth stuttered, easing up from her tensed position around Lunar as she watched Moon and Sun be forced to relax in the giant male’s lap.
“Y-Yes? I’m Earth….”
“No need to be afraid, dear. I’m not going to hurt anyone, but my programming just would not shut up until I made these two relax, you and Lunar as well. There is so much anxiety and stress surrounding everything that my sensors were overwhelmed at first.”
Sun grumbled where he was laying, his body tucked into the fold of Eclipse’s leg. Something screamed in the back of his mind about how he shouldn’t be so relaxed around this stranger, that something was wrong, but Sun wasn’t sure if that was a legit concern or just his anxiety reaching another peak after everything. A large hand came down, curling near his head and gently rubbing.
Moon was in a similar state, feeling his anxiety and stress and anger crawling like a poison through his wires, but the warmth that was seeping into his circuits as well as the extra charge. He…he really hadn’t stopped long enough since Solar’s….since Solar’s death….Didn’t mean he wasn’t going to kick this Eclipse’s ass later though for manhandling - robothandling?- him later. Another hand settled at his back, and the gentle weight was comforting.
Eclipse hummed as his two lower hands took care of Sun and Moon, while another reached out to shake Earth’s hand.
“You are as lovely as Lunar said you were, Earth. It really is a shame we don’t have one of you back home. I think my Sun and Moon would lose their minds if they had a sister. Would you terribly mind if I study you a bit in a while? I’d like to see if I couldn’t give us a sister back home if that’s alright?”
Earth shook his hand, a little awkwardly at the size difference but smiled a bit more easily.
“I-I guess? I’m not sure about all the sciency stuff like Moon or Monty is but I think it’ll be alright?”
Eclipse hummed again as he smiled happily, before patting the spot next to him and grabbing one of the larger beanbag chairs for her to sit in.
“Sit with me?”
Earth did so, a bit more relaxed now that she was closer to her brothers again in case something happened. Now the only one left was Lunar, who had been going through a series of reboots the entire time, not believing his eyes.
Eclipse leaned over slowly, scooping the tiny light blue bot up and cradled him in his upper arms while waiting for Lunar to get a hold of himself. He was very eager to check with the littlest brother right now, plus share schematics about the Lunar in his world that was being built.
The time for stress and pain was gone for now, Eclipse would make sure of it.

Hope this chapter was ok! I know it seems a little fast pace but I can't see my boy going slow when he sets his mind to something lol.
Chapter 5: oh Gods there's more?
Summary:
My Sunny and Moon come visit the Daycare!
TSAMS Sun and Moon are normal text
AU Sun is Italic
Au Moon is Italic/bold
Chapter Text
"Pick up, Pick up, Pick up!"
"Sun? What's wrong?"
"MOON GET TO THE DAYCARE NOW"
Moon looked at his phone, brain twisting in confusion as the line cut off before dashing over to open a portal to the Pizzaplex. What was wrong? Did Dark Sun come back? Nexus - he still chuckled at that name- come and attack?
The Creator and his damn Goliath creation?
Moon barreled through the hallways once the portal connected, dashing as fast as he could and crashing through the doors.
"SUN?!"
"There you are~"
Moon yelped as the second he stepped into the daycare, he was picked up in a set of larger arms, crushed against a soft silicone and cloth covered chest. He blinked owlishly, frozen in shock at the scene before him. He was dangling like a toy in the arms of a ...very large Sun? Twisting his head gave him a view of his own brother in the arms of a larger version of Moon himself. Moon took in the massive sizes of the two, gaping as his brother whined and wriggled in the larger Moon's grip, and Moon let out a shout.
"W-Who the fuck are you?!"
"You can call me Sunny! And that's my brother, you can call him Moonie!"
The exuberent Sunny exclaimed with an laugh, swinging Moon around as the larger animatronic held him tightly.
"S-Sun I need you to explain..?!"
"S-so funny story.... I forgot to mention that Lunar made friends with another dimensions version of us and Eclipse and they...come to visit? I guess? This is like only the second time though..."
Moonie chuckled, curling Sun's wiggling smaller form up against his chest as the 13ft lunar animatronic sat on the padded floor, swaying back and forth.
"Our time frames are on a similar frame as yours, we have to request time off and make sure the Daycare is either closed or covered before Sunny and I could visit. Our big brother said a lot of things had happened when he had visited...so I can only assume more as occured? Especially since you don't seem to know who we are despite the previous visit and Lunar...."
Moon gave up his own struggles as Sunny skipped over to sit next to his brother, cuddling the irate animatronic. The two giants chuckled and swayed with eachother, sometimes bumping eachother's shoulders as they cooed and cuddled their smaller alternate versions. Sunny had a strong grip, his face content as he cuddled Moon close, the fans in his chest whirring so loud it was practically a purr at this point.
"Yeah, cool, great. Fan-Freaking-tastic! Could you LET US GO?!"
Sunny pouted at Moon's growl, moving him to rest in his lap instead of being held against Sunny's chest, watching as he scrambled out of the large animatronics lap to glare angrily at the chastised bot. At this point Sun had just gave up struggling, letting Moonie continue to cuddle as he just laid there pouting and limp.
"Look, you both...seem...great? Nice? Cool. Don't TOUCH me! And let my brother go!"
"No~"
Moon gaped at his larger self, sputtering angrily. He couldn't even activate the security protocols because he didn't want to risk hitting Sun! Angrily, he stomped over to sit behind the security desk, trying his best to ignore the sad puppy eyes that Sunny was giving him, or the flexing hands that looked like they wanted to scoop him up again.
"Look...a..LOT.. of stuff has changed since your Eclipse last visited...Moon is...well he's my brother. My original brother! The one that your Eclipse met was... a different one who came about when..."
"When I like..pseudo-died. Dude goes by Nexus now after losing his mind or something."
Moonie hummed, listening as Sun and Moon explained the most recent occurrences, the changes and threats. Each one made him just cuddle Sun closer to his chest, half tempted to place the smaller solar themed bot inside his hoodie and take him home. None of this sounded good, other than the new home that they moved to, and the heartbreaking truth of the one they called Dazzle. Moonie held Sun closer when that topic came up, feeling how the smaller animatronic trembled in his arms. Sunny felt the same, more than eager to grab and cuddle Moon and just...take him and everyone else they were told about from this dimension back to home to their own. Plus, Sunny missed Lunar.
Sunny was sure that Lunar and this Earth he heard about would love their dimension! They had cute human staff and had an adorable naptime assistant and so much more!
But...Sunny knew they wouldn't. Despite all the pain and tortures neither of the smaller animatronics seemed eager to just abandon their home world.
Getting up with a stretch, Sunny ran through a few commands internally before he felt his body shift, shrinking down and shrugging off his oversized orange hoodie and pants as they didn't shrink with him. Digging in the over sized pockets, Sunny pulled out a smaller version of his clothes and got dressed, still covered by the larger cloth for privacy before he crawled out.
"OH COOL, YOU CAN SHRINK."
Sunny cackled at Moon's shriek, crawling out of his abandoned and now over sized clothes as he crawled up into Moonie's lap so he could hug his alternate self much to Sun's indignance and Moonie's glee as the larger animatronic happily scooped up his shrunken brother to cuddle both of them.
"Why can't I turn you into Geese?!"
Sun hollered with a pout, finding his magic wasn't working on the two larger alternates. Sunny and Moonie looked at eachother before shrugging, going back to cuddling the pouting Sun.
Moonie hummed as he cuddled both solar animatronics to his chest, the smaller forms nearly hidden by how poofy his hoodie and pants were. He looked over at Moon as he rocked the two forms lightly as he swayed.
"Trying to get a reading on us or are you just trying to distract yourself with a project since we're not a threat?"
Moon huffed, glaring at the call out and the knowing smirk on his larger alternates face as he pulled up some minor project he could work on. Perhaps a new wardrobe pack for Earth or something to help protect Lunar and Sun, or something for Monty...anything?!
"You know, I'm the scientist at my dimension too, I do believe most Moons are. But does your brother help you like mine does?"
Moon looked up, tilting his head in confusion. There was nothing malicious in the tone used by the other, just curiosity. Sun's confusion was evident on his face as well, still limp as Sunny curled around him with a happy purr within Moonie's arms.
"No...? Not really. Sun has magic right now that I'm helping him with mastering but he doesn't really understand or know about all the tech and science stuff?"
"W-WHICH IS FINE BY ME!"
Sun pointed out, not wanting them to think Moon was belittling him either just cause he didn't understand!...Which Moon did a lot in the past...but he was getting better after coming back!
"Shh, it's okay! Moonie wasn't trying to imply anything. I like helping my brother with his tech and creations so he was just curious if you helped too!"
Sunny chirped as he nuzzled against Sun's head soothingly, though his words picked up Sun and Moon's curiosity.
"You help out..?"
"I sure do! I love being able to create the casings for machines, or clothings, or even pitch in ideas and features for things that Moonie will show me how to make!"
Sun blinked, sharing a surprised look with Moon. Well...there were many dimensions so it wasn't to unheard of to think there was a Sun that existed out there that could be a science guy.
"Sunny is amazing. When I get stuck on something, he always comes up with either the best solutions, or the funniest!"
Moonie exclaimed with pride as he curled down to nuzzle his brother much to Sunny's laughter and Sun's groan.
Moon in turn made a note of that, and a little reminder to possibly see if Sun would want to do that too. Sun did help make Dazzle's new body...and it certainly wouldn't hurt if Sun knew some of the inner workings of the security systems...
"So...your Eclipse came by here too? Guess he isn't an evil version then..."
"Nope! But he does run the casino and local mafia back home!"
"HE DOES WHAT?!"
Chapter 6: Heart of a Child
Summary:
Moon stumbles upon a scene he didn't think he'll ever be able to forget.
Eclipse gains a friend he never thought he'd get.
Notes:
Inspired by the new game "Baby Blues Nightmares" Featuring Aiden and Eclipse
Pretty short chapter but gd I watched Foosters video on this and I am invested in Aiden's happiness and Eclipse being the perfect animatronic for the baby.
Chapter Text
Moon was losing his damn mind. The doors to the daycare needed repair - which would probably be him and Monty at this point - because he had broken through them so fast. Sun had sounded the alarm for a missing child, but it wasn't the right day?! The pattern was wrong, the time was wrong, the date - everything. The only things that matched up was that the child, Aiden, was the very last one left at the daycare, the parents getting a one time special permission (with a hefty price) to let the toddler stay late even after the Daycare was set to close.
And then the child went missing. Seriously, this child was impressive. How in the world did a tiny, human toddler outwit Sun?!.....Actually...
No, No... Focus. Moon could sit down and lecture Sun later about focusing on sorting crayons instead of watching the child later. .....He was going to need to use the theater to project into his head again for this.
The problem was that the moment Sun had sounded the alarm - it was cancelled. By Eclipse. And Moon did not trust Eclipse with children. Sure, Moon didn't think Eclipse was the one going around and killing children, not with how frantic and focused he and Puppet were, but Eclipse was just....a JERK! He was just so mean and cruel and Moon didn't want an innocent child to be subjected to that. Not to mention that Eclipse himself was more,...scary to look at. Moon scared plenty of kids on accident which hurt, but Eclipse was worse. Eclipse could make even adults cry - and that was saying something when he watched as Eclipse lay into terrible, self-entitled parents or workers who Eclipse just stared at until they cried.
Step by crashing step, Moon bounded up as fast as he could up the stairs towards the theater, his servos working overtime. He ran into the metal gate, the shutter not opening in time for the speeds he was going at. With a groan, Moon crawled in instead as he shook his head to clear his rattled circuits. The sound of a laugh made him look up, but there was no one there at the concession stand. No Aiden, no Eclipse. Scrambling back to his feet, Moon dashed into the theater proper where some old, cheesy Faz-bear approved cartoons were playing.
There, sitting in middle row, a safe distance from the screen but close enough that they were lit up by the soft lights, was Eclipse holding Aiden in his lap. The toddler was so small, so fragile, but Eclipse was curled carefully in one of the beanbags to hold him securely.
Aiden was babbling happily, the faint words of "Hunny Claws" and "Ms. Starry!" reaching Moon's censors. Even running back through his memory logs from when he was watching through Sun's eyes, Moon couldn't recall the child ever speaking. Just huddling in the corner and playing with his toys which had spurred Sun on to be even more anxious while trying to care for the kid. Another ground shaking revelation was how Eclipse was speaking.
He was being soft. He wasn't curbing his words or playing 'nice', but something in his tone was almost gentle. He wasn't yelling, and he wasn't insulting as much, Eclipse was carefully keeping the now animated toddler who wiggled and gestured excitedly with toys in his hands. Aiden looked...happy. Happier than anything Sun or Moon had seen since the toddler had started attending the Daycare.
"Heh...you're a noisy little brat aren't you..."
Moon wished his mouth could actually open, cause it certainly would be on the ground at the almost parental tone in Eclipse's voice that was followed Aiden's happy giggles. Another part of Moon felt hurt. Eclipse had been his very first friend before...well.. Before Eclipse did what Eclipse does. Now here he was, this big, angry, metal bot who doesn't know how to speak kindly or say please if it came and bit his dorito rays off, being soft and gentle with a toddler. It....hurt more than Moon was willing to admit but it also gave him a little hope. A little hope that perhaps he could break through Eclipse's angry and gruff exterior and...perhaps get his friend back.
"If you're going to keep standing there like an idiot, you might as well come sit down and watch the damn show with us."
"Moonie!"
Moon startled, eyes snapping up to meet Eclipse's burning optics, looking at him almost boredly. Had Eclipse known Moon was there the entire time...? And...Aiden had called his name. Not in fear, not in hesitance...but happily in a way only a child could. Jerkily, as if his body wasn't running smoothly anymore, Moon tripped and tumbled his way down to a beanbag next to them. He ignored Eclipse's muttered 'idiot' with a practiced glare as he settled, but the sounds of Aiden's happy babbling and comfort of being so close to Eclipse let him relax.
Aiden truly was a special little boy, and Moon knew in the deepest part of his processors that if anything happened to him, Eclipse would raise absolute hell in this dimension until he found who harmed the precious toddler.
