Chapter 2: Prologue: Afton's Escape

Summary:

The beginning of the end...

Chapter Text

Alright, now, how can I get my body out of the basement? Afton wondered as he led Mire to the location of his body. I could potentially try using some sort of heavy object to destroy the concrete wall, but where will I get something like that?

It only took a couple of minutes to get to the elevator leading down there, at which point, Mire entered said elevator and started heading downstairs, Afton using his digital form’s teleportation to get to the bottom to wait for Mire.

Eventually, the elevator arrived, and Mire stepped out. Afton guided Mire through the underground area to a place called Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, one of the old locations from before Mr. Evans took over the company.

~~~~~~~
“I just don’t understand what’s so hard for you to understand, General. We’re facing a long-dead serial killer possessing an animatronic, and it’s escalating to nationwide war. It’s that simple,” Michaels said. He was then silent for a couple of seconds before saying, “Of course I understand how dumb this sounds, but you’re the one who sent me and my battalion here to help in this fight!” Again, he was silent before saying, “Yes, a full war is likely what this is escalating to.” More silence. “Yes, if he gets powerful enough, it could evolve into a full world war, only with all 195 countries united against a seemingly-immortal child killer.” Even more silence. “Alright, but I’m going to need to keep this battalion here in Nevada, as that’s where they seem to be planning on staying for the time being. Michaels out.”
“The general finally agree to prepare for war with Afton?” Gregory asked.
“Yup. Just needed to give irrefutable evidence.”
“Now you just need to contact the DHS,” Cassie said.
“Yup. Welp, this is gonna take a bit of convincing.”
~~~~~~~

“Well. That’s convenient,” Afton said, noticing the forklift aimed directly at the wall blocking off his new body.

“And it’s operated by a Faz-Wrench terminal. I can handle this, Master. You’ll be able to properly walk around shortly,” Mire said, before heading over to the Faz-Wrench terminal to activate the forklift.

It took a couple of seconds, but Mire proved successful, as shown by the forklift plowing through the concrete. Afton, knowing that he no longer needed the Glitchtrap form, vanished, before a giant endoskeleton climbed out of the pit behind the wall.

“Oh, how nice it feels to have a proper body,” Afton said, getting used to walking around.

“I’m sure it’s wonderful to be able to walk around again, but we should get you a proper suit, instead of just being that animatronic. It shouldn’t be too difficult to create, seeing as mine wasn’t difficult, but it may take a couple of hours,” Mire said.

“Yes, you are correct. First, though, let’s get out of this place, get far away from the Pizzaplex. Come on, I know a secret path out.” With that, Afton proceeded to lead Mire to a path that led outside of the Pizzaplex.

~~~~~~~
“Alright, thanks. I’ll call you back with updates every now and then. Michaels out,” Michaels said, ending the call with the head of the DHS. “Alright. All transportation in and out of the US are disabled, and the US is now a no-fly zone for any intercountry travel. Intercountry trading is also temporarily banned. Now, let’s get out of here. No doubt Afton’s already heading out of here.”
“Right. Let’s go!” Cassie said. With that, the group departed the meeting room, gathering their groups and leaving the Pizzaplex, with the exception of the animatronics, who needed to stay. The technicians, with the exception of Cassie’s dad, stayed to start repairing the pizzaplex and the remaining STAFF bots.
Chapter 3: Chapter 1: Normal Life
Summary:
The duo get their first taste of normal life since the weekend started.
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Due to the duo having the most insane weekend ever, they had the week off of school. Of course, the school didn’t know the specifics, just that they were absent for the week. After all, the school probably wouldn’t react well to the two being dead and possessing animatronics.
The two used the absence to get used to their new tech that Evans had added to their systems as a thank-you.
Cassie had claws as her human self, now, instead of just her security animatronic self. She also had thrusters built into her feet, allowing her limited flight. The thrusters used compressed air, though the canisters only refilled when Cassie was on the ground. In addition to that, she had the ability to superheat her hands should she need it.
Gregory, meanwhile, was still meant to be Cassie’s equal, yet opposite. He had claws in both forms now as well, though he could also dig through the ground extremely easily using them, as they were designed for that. He had a titanium-rubber compound that made up his skin, allowing him to move underground without damaging his skin. This had the side effect of making him bulletproof, as well. To help with underground navigation, a radar was also installed into his body. In addition to his claws, radar, and titanium-rubber skin, he could shoot water out of the palms of his hands.
The two families decided to move in to one house together, with a large yard. Evans, as a gift to the others who helped in the situation, bought the two families a nice house with a big enough yard that Gregory and Cassie could test out their new upgrades without risk of being caught. It also had enough room inside the house for the two families to live comfortably
Today was the day the two had decided to start practicing their abilities. They agreed to start with a claws-out spar, testing their claws in hand-to-hand combat.
Needless to say, when the returned inside with slightly torn clothes and Cassie’s skin torn, they were banned from sparring with claws, and instead Evans offered to buy them sandbags for them to test their claws against. So, the two got their outfits and Cassie’s skin repaired, then went back out to test their other abilities.
Gregory dug into the ground, quickly shooting off using his claws to both propel himself forward and dig through the ground, quickly creating an intricate tunnel system that allowed him to get to numerous different locations throughout the yard easily. Knowing that the yard was his and Cassie’s space, he decided to make one of his exits hidden using a garden, that he grew using his claws to dig up the earth required for the pipes for the sprinklers, as well as to till the ground, allowing him to plant the flowers. At his exit furthest from the house, he decided he’d make a foundry with Cassie’s help for her to build things, such as the reservoir and pipes that he’d use to get water around the yard easily. At the third exit, he decided on a greenhouse. At the main entrance, he decided to make a patio with a hidden entrance to his tunnels. Finally, he decided that his tunnels wouldn’t be tunnels, but a hidden room, accessible only to him and Cassie. Their animatronic forms didn’t require oxygen, so they could be down there even if it couldn’t hold air.
With this information, Gregory requested a couple of bags of cement, numerous sheets of metal, and numerous pipes and sprinklers, saying he’d install them himself. Evans decided to agree, knowing that it would be a good use of their abilities, though he did suggest that the garden instead be a farm, so that they could both feed their families and have a fairly stable source of income. Gregory, seeing Evans’ point, agreed.
While Evans was getting the supplies for the pair, Gregory carved out the room for him and Cassie, making it 7 feet tall by 40 feet by 20 feet, allowing the two plenty of space underground for their room. Once he was done with that, he invited Cassie down so she could get used to it.
“I’m guessing this isn’t the final version? Because, if it is, this is extremely dangerous to me. You’re built to resist damage like this. I’m not,” Cassie said.
“Nope. I’ve already ordered concrete from Mr. Evans, as well as plenty of pipes for me to build a pipe system for the entire thing, including down here. There’s also metal that we can use to create a reservoir that I can fill with water easily, though we should probably still make sure it can collect rainwater, too, so that it gets water whenever it rains, and not just when I refill it,” Gregory replied.
“Alright. Do you have plans for what this area will become?”
“Well, I’ll also be doing wiring so that we can have power down here, with help from Evans to get a generator that we can use easily, though we’d need to plug it in to the house every now and then. I’d give us a small theater, an eating area, a kitchen, a game room, a hydroponics so that we can just build elevators leading down here so that your parents and Vanessa can come down here, an exercise room, a hallway connecting these rooms, and a bedroom for us to use to rest down here.”
“Just one bedroom?”
“We both know that we’re only using one bedroom, even in the main house.”
“Yeah, true. I’m guessing that everything requiring water will be connected to the pipes?”
“Yep. For now, though, we should head out. Evans said that the stuff will be here tomorrow.” With that, the couple departed the underground area, instead heading inside to hang out and play games in the room they decided they’d share.
It was an incredibly nice room, with a balcony looking out into the backyard. At the moment, they only had board games and card games, so they started off playing Uno. They played for a couple of hours, neither letting the other win, until Gregory managed to win by placing a wild draw four, which skipped Cassie’s turn due to the rules of Uno, and then placing his final card, a red 1.
After that, they headed down to have dinner with their families. It was a nice instance, and they had fun, so they spent more time with their families, playing Monopoly together.
The pizzaplex was closed for the week due to maintenance from the entire battles that took place there, as well as to clean the blood from Gregory’s death, which was never cleaned, so their entertainment animatronics really just had to help the security guards patrol. All staff members at the pizzaplex knew about the incident, having been called and informed once Evans got home, so all security staff knew to listen to Gregory and Cassie.
Somehow, despite everyone agreeing that the incident at the pizzaplex should stay confidential, a watered-down version of the events got out to the press. No one knew that Cassie and Gregory had died, but everyone knew they were involved in the victory.
Soon, though, night fell, so the two retired to their room to get clothes so they could change. Gregory changed in their room while Cassie got changed in the bathroom. Then, they went to sleep.
~~~~~~~

Soon… Afton thought. Soon, the world will learn to fear the name Afton.

~~~~~~~
Even in his still mind-controlled state, Mire shuddered at the laugh coming out of his master’s mouth.
Notes:
1 more day. Tomorrow.
Chapter 4: Chapter 2: School
Chapter Text
It’s been a week since Gregory and Cassie got out of the Pizzaplex, and tomorrow was their first day of school.
Both had gotten new school supplies for their school, as their backpacks needed replacing anyway, and Gregory was changing schools to Cassie’s school. The two also had to get uniforms for the school, though they weren’t expensive, so it was easy to buy them.
Currently, the two were getting ready for bed for the night while talking.
“Hey, Cass?” Gregory asked.
“Yeah, Greg?” Cassie responded.
“You excited for school?”
“Yeah, I honestly am. It’ll be a nice break from the chaos that our lives are slowly becoming. You?”
“Yeah, me too. Now, next question; do we keep our relationship secret until we know we can trust people, or do we just tell them?”
“Let’s keep it secret for a bit, just to determine who our true friends are.”
“I was thinking that, too, but wanted your opinion. We’re obviously waiting to tell even those we can truly trust that we’re dead until high school, though should we tell our teacher, just so that they know?”
“Yeah, probably for the best that we do. We should also tell the school nurse, she’ll want to know that, too.”
“Yeah, fair. Is there anyone else we should tell?”
“Maybe the principal, he’s a good person and someone who should know. We have metal detectors at the school, so the security team should know so they can let us through without the metal detectors going off.”
“Yeah, probably.” With that, both were dressed in their pajamas and properly ready for bed. They climbed into bed, and Gregory switched off the light before they both fell asleep.
~~~~~~~

The next morning, Gregory and Cassie were woken up by their alarm clock at five o’clock, so that they could get ready for school. Cassie took her shower while Gregory prepared his stuff, putting it in his backpack, then they swapped, Gregory taking his shower while Cassie put her stuff in her backpack.

Once Gregory was out of the shower and dressed, the two made their way downstairs, seeing their families eating at the table. They got their breakfast and ate, then started walking to school.

~~~~~~~
“Are we ready to start this war, sir?” Mire asked.
“No. Not yet. We still need to amass more followers. Society’s current issue with inventing should aid in this. Many engineers are stuck creating already-existing things, and loathe modern society. We can promise them the ability to create whatever they wish, recruit them. I may not even need to control them. Though, in order for this to work, I will need a more humanoid body. Rubber for the skin, obviously. We would also need to make it feel just like a human body, so that’ll take time,” Afton replied. So, with that, Mire and Afton got to work on building a humanoid body for him.
~~~~~~~

“Alright, we’re here!” Cassie said, leading Gregory to Hurricane Elementary School. It was a relatively small school, reflecting the fact that Hurricane was a relatively small town, though, as with the city, since the establishment of the first Freddy Fazbear’s, it’s been steadily growing.

Cassie led Gregory through the school to their fifth-grade classroom, where Cassie proceeded inside while telling Gregory to wait for the teacher.

Soon, the teacher approached Gregory and said, “Hello. You must be Gregory. It’s a pleasure to meet you. If you’ll wait just a moment, I’ll introduce you to the class.” The teacher then walked in and made sure everyone was present before saying, “Now, before we start class, I’d like to introduce you guys to our new student! He already knows one of you, of course, as the two have been friends for a while from what I hear, but for the rest of you, this will be a new face. Come on in, Gregory!”

“Hey,” Gregory said, walking into the classroom.

“Now, Gregory, why don’t you tell us a bit about yourself.”

“Alright, well, as you guys will have seen in the news, I was one of the two children involved in the Pizzaplex incident, and from that information you can probably guess who among you I know. My parents died in a car crash five years ago, a drunk driver hit them, and they died on impact. For a bit, the girl who was babysitting me that night took care of me, but eventually I had to be put in the system, as she couldn’t afford to keep me, and couldn’t get a good job to be able to afford to keep me. We stay in contact, and she’s actually planning on coming down here soon, saying she got a new job in this area. I currently live with a nightguard at the Pizzaplex, the same nightguard involved in the incident. I had a new animatronic at the Pizzaplex named after me for my aid in the situation that occurred there. That’s pretty much it.”

“But that’s not it, is it?” a kid with dyed green hair asked.

“Huh?”

“My uncle was one of the workers who helped out at the Pizzaplex while that whole thing was going on. He told me about the whole incident! If it wasn’t for me, the world wouldn’t even know about us being at war with an undead animatronic!”

“I’m sorry, are you saying that you released confidential information that you were only allowed to know because of your uncle’s involvement in the whole incident to the press, who shouldn’t have had it ?” Cassie asked.

“There’s no reason for any of it to be kept secret! Especially not the fact that you and Gregory are now---!” Suddenly, the kid was tackled to the ground by both Gregory and Cassie.

“That is confidential information! Not kept for the safety of Fazbear Entertainment, but for our own safety, instead!” Gregory yelled.

“He’s right. If it weren’t for our safety and privacy, Fazbear Entertainment would have told the public, just like they told the public of their history due to Afton,” Cassie said.

“How can we be sure you aren’t just animatronics built to mimic our old friends!?” the kid asked, slightly fearful. He then covered his mouth, with Cassie and Gregory looking slightly scared now that the class knew their secret.

Chapter 5: Chapter 3: Secrets Revealed

Notes:

The chapter title having the exact same first letter as SB: Recharged's chapter 3 is pure coincidence that I didn't even notice until I started typing the chapter name into this one.

Chapter Text

“A-Are you really… ?” a girl with long brown hair asked.

The duo sighed. “Yes, May, we are,” Cassie answered.

“Prove it! I bet you two just staged that to try to get attention for no reason!” a rude kid with messy blonde hair taunted. In response, both of them unsheathed their claws.

“That enough proof for you, Jake? Or do we need to literally remove our heads so you can see the mess of wires and metal plating underneath!?” Cassie responded, aggressively. Jake was summarily terrified.

“Oh, sure, let’s trust the new kid and the weird kid. How do we know they aren’t lying?” another rude kid, this one having straight hair dyed bubblegum pink.

“Really, Emily? You aren’t a natural blonde, so I expected better from you, even if you are a bully,” Cassie said, disappointed but not surprised. She and Gregory both sheathed their claws, then removed their headskin, leaving just the wires and metal plates. They then both stared directly at Emily. “This enough proof for you?” Emily, summarily cowed, nodded. Gregory and Cassie then replaced their headskin, having to get each others’ help properly maneuvering it back into position. Then, once looking at them would no longer traumatize anyone, they looked back at the class, waiting for the next question that was inevitably coming.

“Did it hurt?” a girl with long, straight black hair asked, concerned.

“Yeah,” Gregory responded, rubbing his neck where Foxy had been forced to cut his last body’s throat.

“A lot,” Cassie added, slightly rubbing her neck where Gregory’s hands were when he was forced to kill her.

“These are new bodies, yet sometimes the phantom pains come back.” With that, the two continued to answer questions asked by Cassie’s classmates, until the teacher reminded them that, while this was interesting, they did still have to do schoolwork.

~~~~~~~
Soon, though, it was lunchtime, and Cassie guided Gregory to the cafeteria, where they grabbed their food, then went to sit with Cassie’s friends.
“Can you guys even eat?” May asked.
“Yes, May. We were designed to be able to eat so that we could at least try to keep our animatronic status a secret,” Gregory responded. He’d been introduced to Cassie’s friends earlier that day, during a break in between classes. They were May, Mike, the one with the green hair, and Mary, the one with the black hair, as well as two others that seemed to be absent that day.
“That’s good. Also, I’m sorry for what happened this morning, Gregory, Cassie. I was just worried about you two, and the rest of our friend group,” Mike said.
“This is why we’re friends, Mike. You care about us. If you didn’t reveal it out of fear, and instead revealed it out of malice, I’d stop being your friend, but you care. I can’t forgive you just yet, but we are still friends,” Cassie said.
“And I’d like to be your friend, Mike,” Gregory added.
“I’d like that, too, Gregory,” Mike said.
Chapter 6: Chapter 4: Attack
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
It was nearing time for PE class, so the class was finishing up their work in English and turning it in. However, right when Gregory got up to turn his in, a voice came from outside.
“Gregory! Cassie! Come on out!” the voice yelled, being one that neither of them recognized. “The Master has tasked me with killing you, but he never said I couldn’t kill the other kids! So, if you don’t come out, I will hunt you down in there, and everyone will die! You have five minutes!”
“Damn it!” Gregory said. “He shouldn’t have even known where we are!”
“Yeah, it’s weird. How did he know where we were?” Cassie added. Knowing that the best way for their friends to survive would be to go face the animatronic outside, they left.
While they were heading towards a door, a security guard at the school walked up to them.
“Hey, do you know why that animatronic is yelling for you two?” the guard asked.
“Yeah. We’ve already survived Afton’s game, now he just wants to ensure we don’t get to tell anyone he’s alive. Which is a good thing. It shows that he’s been too busy to follow the news; his return is known nationwide, and even in Mexico and Canada,” Cassie said.
“Now we just need to figure out how he knew where we were,” Gregory said.
“Tick tock, tick tock! Thirty seconds remaining!” the animatronic yelled. Knowing that time was limited, Cassie and Gregory started running towards the exit, so they could face down that animatronic. Shortly, they got to the exit, where they saw the animatronic, wearing a cloak so as to obscure itself. “Took you long enough! I was just about to come in there and start hunting you down! Now,” the animatronic said, “my mission is to kill the two of you and then eliminate everyone in this school! So, let’s start by using the ability granted by my Master to move everyone to my Master’s Arena!”
With that, everyone was transported to the main area in the Pizzaplex. The students and security guards from the school were on the upper levels, while Gregory, Cassie and the unknown animatronic were on the main floor, staring each other down. Gregory and Cassie used their entertainment animatronics to try to direct people to safety, away from the unknown animatronic, before the animatronic used the teleporter that he had to move all the guests up to the upper floor, as well. The animatronics were also moved up.
“Security Bots, block all access to the escalators from both sides. We can’t have any humans getting down there, they can’t get involved in the fight! We also can’t have the cloaked animatronic getting up to the guests!” Cassie ordered from her entertainment animatronics. “All available Security Bots are to move to the main area to set up a defensive perimeter!”
“Oh, that’s nice, that you think a couple of security bots can stop me!” the unknown animatronic said. It then took off its cloak, revealing itself to the world. It was an animatronic with pale skin, as well as red hair. It wore what looked like a red and yellow suit, though it used a crop top so that its stomach was revealed, allowing the use of something that resides in the stomach. “I am Circus Buddy! Much more refined than my predecessor, Circus Baby, and smart enough to make myself look like myself, rather than a close approximation, should I be destroyed! I am what she failed to be!”
Notes:
Hey, sorry for the short chapter. I just wanted the combat scene to encompass a chapter of its own.
Chapter 7: Chapter 5: Circus Buddy
Chapter Text
“I am what she failed to be!” Circus Buddy yelled. “I am immortal! I am loyal! I am helpful! You will fall to me!”
“I wouldn’t be so sure about that, Buddy!” Gregory yelled, unsheathing his claws. “We’re refined! We’re rebuilt! We’re combat-ready! We’re armed and dangerous!”
“We’re the Saviours of the Pizzaplex! We won’t be beaten by a mockery of an old animatronic!” Cassie added, taking her coat off and unsheathing her own claws. “Let’s dance!”
Cassie and Gregory moved as one, their movements flowing smoothly together, while Buddy attacked with no hesitation, only brute strength. Using their claws actually proved ineffective, as Buddy was built with a titanium shell. Their claws couldn’t pierce him.
“Damn it! He’s too tough!” Gregory yelled.
“He’s titanium! If I get hit too hard, I’m out of the battle!” Cassie added.
“Wait. His shell is immune to our claws!” Gregory said.
“But not our other abilities!” Cassie finished. “Come on, Gregory! Let’s go!”
With that, Cassie lifted off the ground, launching herself up with the thrusters in her feet to land up high, which allowed her to switch which way she was facing and blast towards Buddy, planning on trying to melt at least part of him.
Gregory, meanwhile, burrowed into the ground, using his radar to detect where Buddy and Cassie were moving right below Buddy and waiting for Cassie to attack.
Upon reaching Buddy, Cassie activated her superheated hands and grabbed Buddy’s face, melting a good amount of it off. Once enough was melted off, she planted her feet on his chest and launched herself away, landing on the upper floor next to her friends.
“Cassie!” Mike yelled, happy his friend was okay.
“Hey, Mike. Don’t worry, this is almost over,” Cassie assured him and the rest of her friends.
Right after she said that, Gregory launched himself out of the ground and blasted water into Buddy’s face, soaking his wires and overloading his system. Cassie launched herself down to Gregory, who caught her. They hugged in celebration.
“N̶̬̻͉̺̼̉͜.̸̣̺̖̭̣̞͋́̌́̀̚.̴̧̠̥͐͒́͗.̶̭̺͂̐̂̀͘͠o̴͇͋͛̃̐̒͛̎.̴̦̰̌̿̾̍.̵̡͓̄̐̊̇͝.̸͖̜̽͆̕͜ ̴̛͚̗̟̱̜́́̿̎̒͠I̵̢̡̫̱͕̿̈́̂̌͋'̷̛͔͕̥͔̩͐͛̀̅̂m̷̭̫͉̪̏̀͌̈́̓ ̶̨̺͈̦̺̋͆́̂́ͅn̸̛̲̦̮̯͆͗̍̂͜͜o̶͓͌̍͊́͘͜͠ṫ̶̛̩̙̫̰̺̊̆̏̽̕ ̴͉͍͜͝d̵̥̦͉̤̩͇̆̃́ǫ̵̝̩̜͊̓̉̿͠͝n̵͉̑̽̒͘e̸͎͊̊͝ ̴̡̠̫̱̅̍ỳ̶̡̨͚̘͇͍̈́̈́̔̅͠e̶̱̲͎̼̠̔̊̉̿t̴̡̻͖̼̏!̴͖͔̳͚̘͌͋̅̕̚” Buddy said, glitching out majorly. He then jumped at the duo, who only barely dodged.
“Crap!” Cassie said.
“How is he still functioning!?” Gregory said. “He’s not waterproof! His wires are exposed within his body, and I just shot water in there, soaking his wires!”
“I don’t know, but we’re in big trouble now!” With that, the two started running from Buddy, dodging his attacks. Occasionally, one of the two would charge Buddy to try to fight him head-on, but their claws still couldn’t get through his titanium, and he wasn’t giving them a chance to use their other abilities.
He was just about to hit Cassie when his arm was stopped. Monty, using his strength, threw Buddy away from Cassie, and joined Gregory and Cassie in fighting him. Freddy, Bonnie, Foxy, Goldie, Shadow, Marionette and Chica joined the fight, as well, trying to face down the animatronic horror.
The group of animatronics all charged Buddy, ready to face him down.
Buddy, showing that, despite his melted face, he could see just fine, grabbed Monty’s swinging fist and flung Monty away, then blocking Freddy’s incoming punch. Chica used her own error-ridden voice box on Buddy, but only succeeded at making everyone else pause, stunned, while herself and Buddy were fine. Once everyone was no longer stunned, Bonnie rushed Buddy, only to get thrown into Chica.
Foxy, meanwhile, charged from behind, being entirely quiet. However, Buddy was expecting this. He quickly deflected Foxy’s hook, grabbed it, and launched Foxy at Monty.
Goldie teleported over, intent on trying to catch Buddy off guard, only to get punched in the face as soon as she formed. She was then grabbed and thrown at Freddy.
Shadow and Marionette, having seen that individual attacks were worthless, rushed Buddy together. It proved just as effective as if they had rushed him separately. He grabbed both of their heads and slammed them together, dazing the animatronics. Goldie teleported them back to the group, who all stood glaring down the animatronic nightmare.
Then, Shadow used an ability that few knew about; he summoned his Nightmares. Incorporeal animatronics made from fear itself, they gave people nightmares. Especially with their upgraded, and thus scarier, designs.
Nightmare Freddy now had a few patches of what looked like blood. His Freddles now totaled at fifteen, instead of three. He was also larger, with his tophat being directly in front of the Attendant if he looked straight forward while standing at his full height from the top floor of the main area.
Nightmare Bonnie had more fur missing, and one of his ears was missing entirely. He also wielded a guitar-esque battleax.
Nightmare Chica’s bib was fully repaired, and now said “Let’s Kill” as opposed to “Let’s Eat”. In contrast with her bib, her body was missing a large amount of fabric, and her beak was now pointed at the front, instead of curved.
Nightmare Foxy’s hook was longer and sharper, now resembling the scythe that Grimm Foxy had. His tongue was also longer, and he demonstrated that by licking his hook.
Nightmarionne had more tendrils, and a much scarier mask.
Nightmare Mangle had a third head, and both of the other heads were made scarier.
Nightmare Fredbear was about a foot taller than Nightmare Freddy.
And finally, Nightmare himself had a less visible appearance, and was now capable of flight and phasing through objects.
This actually gave Buddy pause. He seemed to be listening into his ear, confused, then scared, but finally determined.
“Ý̵̰͈̩̰̒o̶̟̫̯̯̯͂̾ų̷̩͙̳͎̗̐̈͑ͅ ̶̜̦͉̣̒̓̃̔͑̕͠m̸̩̓͊a̴̢̜͈͔̯͖̥͌̌̎̈́̊͗͠y̶͖̥̣̏̓̄̔ ̴̡̬̣̟̦͆̑̑́͜ḇ̵͉̂̉͐̔e̸̟̞̾͌̐͝͠ ̵̟͉̈͋î̷̯̞̦̮͍n̶̼̩͂̋̊͐̒͐͜c̸͍̯̟̬̘̞͑̍́ȯ̷̲͎̦̪̥̿r̷͙͈̐͊͘p̵͕̌͊̉͝ó̶͎̟͇̯̥ͅr̸̞̰̱̮̺͉̃̊̈ē̷͎̹͉a̸̧̘̰͓̝̘̬̐̄̀͐̄̔͝l̴̛͓̘̲͕̹͊͆̊,̵̖͂̊͛̎̎́ ̵̭̖̳̲͍̞̈̒̈́͒͒͘b̵̧̮̞̟̪̔́͘u̶̼̙̬̙͕͛̓̽̌̓̋̆ͅţ̵̞͇͚͕͚́̌͘ ̶̦̼͋Į̵̜̫̑̈́̈̕ ̷̺̫̬̯̳̆̿͋á̴̭͇̫͕̪͑̒̋̚ṃ̸̠̘̹͓̱̫͛͊̐̍͐̚ ̸̢̫͚͉̯̅̽̈́͝s̴͔̿͛̂̃͒͊t̶̬͋̽́̓ỉ̴̛̙̣̼̠̑́͊͘͜l̴͚̅͐̓̓͘l̸̹͕̕ͅ ̶̖͐̃̀͂̀̍u̵̧̧̬͍͓̽̀́̓͆n̴̰͊̿͗̔͠b̸̝̭̲͓̤͐ȩ̸̣̼͋͊͊͠á̴̘̼̺̙̻̻̔̋t̵̮̪̮̼͂a̵̡͎͒̽͒b̵̨̨̖̠̮̭̀͗͐͜ĺ̶͈̱̳̙̟́̚e̸̛̙̣̞͋̆͊!̵̙̂” he taunted.
“Nightmares! Attack!” Shadow ordered. With that, the Nightmare Animatronics started battling the depraved clown. Nightmare Freddy had his Freddles swarm him, only for each one to get kicked away easily. He then tried to attack directly, but his foot was stopped by Buddy’s hands. Buddy then threw Nightmare Freddy, who had to dismiss himself so as to not hurt any of the people watching. He was out of the battle, just like that.
Nightmare Bonnie went next. He brought his battleax down on Buddy’s head, but it was blocked easily. Bonnie, being a Nightmare animatronic and thus strong enough to pierce titanium with just his strength alone, was understandably confused, until he learned that his battleax was turned into a clown’s toy, rubber with a squeaker inside. Bonnie left the battle, retreating to get his battleax fixed by Shadow’s mind.
Next went Nightmare Chica, using her Nightmare Cupcake to attack Buddy, though that was blocked by a hand. Nightmare Chica rushed him, only for her to be attacked by her own cupcake, which was turned into Buddy’s puppet. Nightmare Chica dismissed herself and her cupcake, knowing that she could do nothing against him.
After this, Nightmare Foxy and Nightmare Mangle attacked together. They rushed forward, Foxy using his hook to latch onto a table to attack with. He gave the table to Mangle, then tried to attack using his hook as Mangle attacked with the table. Buddy took the table and blocked Foxy’s hook with it. He then redirected the hook so it would hit Mangle, causing Foxy to dismiss himself to keep from hurting her. Mangle attacked one more time, using her three heads to attack from three angles at once, but each was stopped, and she had to get out of there before her other heads tried to attack her main one.
Next was Nightmarionne, who used their tendrils to attack from a distance, grabbing Buddy and throwing him around. Buddy couldn’t even process the impact before he was impacting something else. But, eventually, Buddy managed to get a grasp on one of the tentacles, making them fall limp at Nightmarionne’s sides. Nightmarionne had to get out of there to regain use of their limbs.
After Nightmarionne attacked, Fredbear went in, attempting to kick Buddy across the area, into the main stage, when his foot was caught. Knowing what would happen if Buddy had a hold on his foot for too long, and being taller than Nightmare Freddy, Fredbear vanished, dismissing himself to prevent the humans from getting hurt.
Now there was only Nightmare, who rushed forward before suddenly teleporting behind Buddy. Nightmare managed to land quite a few hits like this, though Buddy was also dodging quite well. However, it was after Nightmare landed his five hundredth hit that that changed. When Nightmare was going in for number 501, Buddy caught his fist, surprising Nightmare, as he was intangible at the time.
It was then that his stomach opened, revealing exactly what was inside: a claw, capable of rending pure titanium, or tearing apart fear, or splitting Agony. The claw stabbed into Nightmare, causing oil to leak from him, and Shadow’s eyes to widen.
“No!” Shadow yelled. Nightmare, knowing that he was useless in the battle now, dismissed himself, leaving just the main animatronics versus Buddy.
Another claw had suddenly sprouted through Buddy’s chest, confusing everyone immensely. After all, if Afton had given Buddy a second claw, why not make it a hatch like his first had?
Chapter 8: Chapter 6: Circus Baby
Chapter Text
“He couldn’t even make him immune to his own claws, huh?” a female, robotic voice said. “Sad. I would have thought father smarter than that.”
Shadow recognized that voice immediately. “Liz!?” he shouted in shock. The animatronic robot removed Buddy from her claw and glared at Shadow.
“How…?” the female clown asked.
“H-How what…?” Shadow asked, confused.
“How do you know that NAME !?” she asked again, rushing forward and pointing her claw menacingly towards Shadow’s throat. This caused everyone but Goldie and Marionette to get into battle-ready stances, while Shadow held his animatronic hand up.
“Please, Liz, let’s not do this in front of so many people. Let’s go backstage, to the green rooms, so that there aren’t a bunch of people watching us.”
“Alright, but I’ve got my eye on you. Any attempt to even try to teleport away or anything like that and this claw goes through your neck faster than you can say Circus,” she agreed. She pulled her claw back, and everyone started heading towards the green rooms. Meanwhile, the intercoms activated.
“Hello, everyone. We thank you for coming, and hope that, with the exception of that last bit, you enjoyed your stay. At the exit, you will find vouchers for free pizzas, one voucher per person, as well as novelty sunglasses, and coupons for therapy, as, after that event, chances are you need it. Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex is closing soon, and we wish you an awesome day. We will see you again soon,” Dread Unit said, before the Security Bots started guiding everyone to the nearest exit to the Atrium. Gregory and Cassie had their entertainment forms aiding in this, guiding people, and using their holoprojectors to help entertain children.
Meanwhile, the group had finally arrived at the green rooms.
“I thought you brought me here because you didn’t want any humans to see this interaction?” the animatronic asked.
“We haven’t been human for over a week,” Cassie said, Gregory nodding behind her.
“Ah. Now, purple bear, explain where you heard that name, or I gut you right here, right now.”
“Well, that’s simple, Liz,” Shadow said, before Evan left the suit, revealing himself to the clown. This stopped the clown short, before a little girl left the suit, tears obvious in her eyes.
“Evan?” the girl asked.
“Right here, Liz,” Evan said. The girl rushed towards him, hugging him as soon as she got to him.
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry for letting Michael do that to you! I’m sorry for not being there for you! I’m sorry for not protecting you like a good older sister! I’m sorry for siding with Father at the end, I thought he might have had a reason to do what he did besides bloodlust! I’m sorry for everything!”
“It’s alright, Liz. You were two years older than me, you couldn’t have stopped Michael if you tried. You were there for me, you listened to me about my Nightmares when no one else would. You protected me to the best of your ability. And lastly, you tried to see the good in Father. That’s not a bad thing, it makes you a good person.”
“So, anyone wanna explain what’s going on?” Vanessa asked.
“Ah, right. Everyone, this is Elizabeth, my older sister. She possessed Circus Baby, and kept possessing the animatronic when she became Scrap Baby. Elizabeth, you remember Cassidy and Charlie of course, but the others are Gregory,” Gregory waved, “Cassie,” Cassie nodded, “Mr. Evans, the current owner of Fazbear Entertainment,” Mr. Evans bowed, “the Glamrock animatronics, who are the newest versions of Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy, as well as having two additional animatronics in the forms of Montgomery Gator, or Monty, and Roxanne Wolf, or Roxy,” all of the mentioned animatronics performed their own actions; Freddy tipped his tophat, Bonnie nodded and waved, Chica waved eccentricly, Foxy tipped his tricorn hat, Monty held up a rock sign, and Roxy waved, “and finally, Vanessa, our niece.” Vanessa just stared at Elizabeth at her introduction, and Elizabeth couldn’t blame her. After all, she was doing exactly the same.
“So, Michael felt he deserved happiness? After what he did to you? I bet she didn’t even know until you told her,” Elizabeth said coldly.
“Actually, that’s wrong. Dad told me when I was young, just a couple years older than you look to be, telling me it was a true story while also using it as a message to not bully, or I may hurt someone I love,” Vanessa defended her dad.
“And besides, I already forgave Michael. I even went to his wedding!” Evan said.
“Ah. I can’t forgive him immediately, but I may eventually be able to forgive him. Where is Michael, though? I’d at least thought he’d be working at this place, at least at night, and been called in when Father tried to kill these two,” Elizabeth said, pointing at Gregory and Cassie at the end.
“That’s the thing. You know that fire that forced you, Father and the others to move on?” Evan asked.
At Elizabeth’s nod, Vanessa took over, “He died in that fire, right alongside you guys. That day, I stopped being known as ‘Vanessa, the Granddaughter of a killer.’ Instead, I became known as ‘Vanessa, the Daughter of a savior.’”
~~~~~~~

“Sir, Circus Buddy’s locator chip has gone offline, and we’re not receiving any input from his diagnostic scanner,” Mire said.

“Then they managed to defeat him. I feared as much. Now the whole world will know of my return,” Afton said, annoyed. Little did he know, however, that the news of Afton’s return was quickly spreading throughout the Americas, and soon would start spreading throughout Europe, and then the rest of the world.

Chapter 9: Chapter 7: Fierce Loyalty

Summary:

Upgrades! Renovations! Repairs! Oh my!

Chapter Text

“You know, Liz, we could probably salvage a good amount of parts from Buddy using your claw, turn you into a functioning animatronic,” Evan said.

“Or we could do what you guys did with the three of you and create a new animatronic for her using our resources,” Mr. Evans said. “Still slightly upset about that, but, since getting more money from more guests due to more animatronics, I can’t be too upset about that, as it allowed me to get more resources.”

“That could work. If there’s a theater here, I could take over, or work alongside the other animatronics,” Elizabeth said. She had reentered her animatronic, which was essentially just Scrap Baby, but missing her entire left arm and skirt, as well as a good amount of her hair. “Although I would like to keep my claw in some way. I’ve grown fond of having a weapon easily accessible for situations like the one where I killed the mockery of me.”

“That can be arranged, though we may need to just build a new area for you and make you gigantic so you can keep the claw,” Mr. Evans said.

“Or I could keep it as my hand, but with it having a touched-up color scheme, and made to look more friendly, and be a normal-sized animatronic, and not essentially what you did to Music Man with that giant DJ in the Fazcade.”

“Fair enough. Let’s go, we can have your animatronic done in just a couple of hours with your input and the aid of the other animatronics. After all, that’s how long it took for Shadow, Goldie and Marionette to be done.”

“The Raceway’s under constant repairs, so the kids can’t reliably use it. As well, I can’t use it; my eyes were disabled and safety-locked on, so they can’t be removed and replaced. Give it to her; let her choose the theme, and decorate it accordingly. I’m not giving up my place on the stage though; I’ve memorized all of our songs and the stage layout. I can still play,” Roxy offered.

“That would be wonderful, Roxy. Thank you for the offer. Although we never did discover what was wrong with the Raceway, so it may take a while to figure it out.”

“Actually, the answer is quite simple; the old pizzeria, the one that was used as a trap for me, Father, and the others, is under Roxy Raceway. Mimic, back before he was Father, was trying to create a suit for Father, so he could serve Father without just becoming his body.  There’s a charge station down there, that all the power is diverted to every hour at night. Roxy Raceway also has power diverted there every hour, but the ‘at night’ part is removed. I’ve destroyed the recharge station, and Mimic’s original plan for Father’s new body. With Veronica free, we can figure out how the power is diverted. We just need to bring her back,” Elizabeth said.

“That’s a negative for the first couple of weeks, Liz,” Evan said. “Veronica is staying offsite until her therapist confirms that she’s cleared to return; we don’t want her breaking down. Even still, taking her down there might cause her to break down regardless of her therapist authorizing her to return. We should probably do something else to figure out how it’s diverted.”

“Damn it. Does anyone have any ideas?”

“I’m having my entertainment form going through the system and trying to figure out where the power is diverted from at this very moment,” Gregory said, and it was clear he was focusing more on his entertainment form than his humanesque form. “I’ve been tracing it from below Roxy Raceway, where you said the issue was, and am currently approaching the mainframe. This is likely how Mimic got his virus into the mainframe; he took control of it using the virus he built to try to help Afton come back.”

So, everyone just hung around, helping Elizabeth create her new animatronic, using the claw from Scrap Baby and repairing it, as well as making it fit for a Glamrock animatronic. The rest of her body, however, was brand new.

~~~~~~~
With the new Glamrock Baby animatronic built, Gregory started guiding everyone to where the power was rerouted. It took them about an hour of walking, but they eventually reached the Generator room, where Glamrock Gregory was, alongside a STAFF Maintenance bot.
“Hello, animatronics, human friends, and Mr. Evans. With the advice given to me by animatronic unit G279, nicknamed “Glamrock Gregory”, I have found why room E5, dubbed “Roxy Raceway”, has its power issues. The power is rerouted from generator A29, for E5, into an unknown area well below the basement. It will take a couple of hours to reverse this, so, with your permission, Mr. Evans, I would like to request the help of animatronic units G1, nicknamed “Glamrock Freddy”, G2, nicknamed “Glamrock Bonnie”, G3, nicknamed “Glamrock Chica”, G4, nicknamed “Glamrock Foxy”, G6, nicknamed “Montgomery Gator”, G278, nicknamed “Glamrock Cassie”, G279, G40, nicknamed “Glamrock Goldie”, G41, nicknamed “Glamrock Marionette”, G42, nicknamed “Glamrock Shadow”, and G300, nicknamed “Glamrock Baby”. Do I have your permission?” the maintenance bot asked.
“Hey, why am I not included!?” Roxy yelled… while looking the entire wrong direction.
“G5, nicknamed “Roxanne Wolf”, I feel the fact that you are facing the entire wrong direction is proof enough for why I didn’t include you. I apologize for any offense taken; I meant none.”
“Yes, M1, you have my permission. Everyone who he called the name of, you may help with this,” Mr. Evans replied. With that, the obvious animatronics stayed behind to help everyone, and Glamrock Cassie approached the room to aid as well.
~~~~~~~

It only took a couple of hours for the power issue to be fixed, so they started drawing up plans for what Roxy Raceway would become. They made plans to split it in half, turning it into two attractions: a circus for Baby, and a pool for Gregory and Cassie. The area would be split in half right between the makeover room, and said room would be converted into a changing room for people. Gregory and Cassie got to work on the piping system for the pool, setting it up so that there were numerous fun areas, such as some waterslides, a waterfall, a cave behind the waterfall where people could go to watch child-friendly movies while resting in the water, and a cleaning facility that drained water passes through so it gets cleaned before being deposited back into the pool.

Meanwhile, Baby got to work designing the circus, trying to figure out what she wanted in it. There would obviously be numerous different tents, each with a different attraction, but she still needed to decide what. There would also be game stalls; it wasn’t a circus without them, but she still needed to figure out what they would be.

Gregory and Cassie took the next two weeks off school, alongside everyone else, due to the attack. As such, they spent that time both working on their underground base, which is quickly expanding to be a full base instead of just a small area, and their pool. The pizzaplex stayed open, though, so they had to keep hidden from the guests. Especially since they now knew that animatronics could look human.

~~~~~~~
“Master!” Mire yelled, approaching Afton. “We have a situation!”
“What is it, Mire? I was busy getting in contact with some of the children of my old inventor friends, trying to turn them to our cause,” Afton said.
“Sending Circus Buddy was useless, as the news of your return had already spread by the time we sent him! If anything, we only made it harder for you to gather allies because now everyone knows that animatronics can look human!”
“Damn it! I need to get in contact with different people: none of my old friends would support me, and their children wouldn’t either!” Afton yelled, throwing his phone at the wall, where it shattered, becoming useless.
I'll return... to stop you...
Chapter 10: Chapter 8: Dodgeball
Summary:
The class plays dodgeball! It's fun!
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
“Hey, Cassie! The blueprints for the Pool are done! What should we call it?” Gregory asked, excited to finally be able to begin building the Pool.
“Well, it does need to be themed after us, so how about we name it Kitty Pool?” Cassie answered.
“Huh. Creative. Taking the phrase ‘kiddy pool’, meant to refer to a small pool that can be easily transported, and swapping the ‘d’s to ‘t’s, thus swapping the word to something often used to refer to cats, ‘Kitty’, creating a wonderful play on words. This creativity is why I love you, Cassie.”
“Aw, I love you, too! Anyway, the blueprints for an underground base are coming along wonderfully! Full water access everywhere, a hydroponics so that humans can go down there, a garage to set up a proper transportation system, a barracks so we can let a battalion rest there, too, and so much more. Currently, I’m just working on figuring out how to get electricity down there without being obvious.”
“That’s all well and good, but I think a private army would work better. One meant to be used to defeat Afton, so that he won’t come back.”
“Yeah, that could even work better. We’d also need some sort of connector to the Kitty Pool, so we can have the animatronics in our army.”
With that, the two left to go and show their ideas to Mr. Evans, who quickly approved of them. He took the ideas to craft them into a proper blueprint.
With that, though, school was back in session.
~~~~~~~

“Hey, Gregory?” Mike asked. They were all in the changing room, getting into their PE clothes.

“Yeah?” Gregory responded.

“Don’t you and Cassie have an unfair advantage over the rest of us? Since you aren’t human?”

“I mean, yeah, but if we’re playing something team-based, Cassie and I will probably be on different teams, to make it fair. If we’re playing a free-for-all, we’ll probably have limits on what we can do, like limiting ourselves to human strength for children our age, and not using our abilities. Why?”

“According to something I heard the teacher saying, we’re doing dodgeball today. Just wanted to be sure.”

“Mh. Fair enough.”

With that, everyone left the changing rooms, entering the gym and lining up.

“Okay, everyone! Due to the events of a couple weeks ago, we decided that your first PE class since them would be a calm one! So, we’re playing dodgeball!” the teacher, Mr. Connors, said. “Gregory! Cassie! You two are the team captains!” The two mentally decided Gregory would go first, and shortly made their teams.

With the teams made, everyone lined up on opposing walls, and dodgeballs were lined up in the center of the room.

“Okay, so first up, rules! Gregory and Cassie, the two of you are allowed to use your abilities, just don’t destroy anything, meaning Cassie, you can use your leg thrusters, and Gregory, you can use your water, but Cassie can’t use her burning hands, and Gregory can’t use his claws. Any other non-destructive ability you have is also usable. No crossing the line in the center of the gym, that will result in an immediate out. You can catch the balls, but failing a catch counts as a hit. If you catch a ball, the person who threw it is out. No headshots. Begin!”

Gregory and Cassie immediately shoot foreward, using their non-destructive powers; Gregory shoots water from his palms, allowing him to rush forward, and Cassie performs a compressed air-assisted jump, both of them grabbing two dodgeballs each before going back, not letting the other get them out so easily. Everyone else also ran forward, but didn’t go as fast as Gregory and Cassie, so by the time they got their dodgeballs and got away from the center, Gregory and Cassie were already staring each other down.

Cassie moved first, propelling herself upward in a spinning motion, then throwing the dodgeball at Gregory, who slowed it using his water before dodging it. He then propelled one of his dodgeballs at Cassie using his water, forcing her to jump, where he shot another dodgeball.

Unfortunately, something that Cassie kept secret from everyone, including Gregory, was the fact that she could have limited flight, and only used the compressed air to boost her jumps because that was easier. As such, she launched herself again, dodging the ball, before landing.

Mike, on Cassie’s team, had thrown a ball at Mary, on Gregory’s team, while she wasn’t looking. The thing is, Gregory had Radar active, and so, without looking, he redirected the ball to hit the wall instead of Mary. Mary then threw one at Mike, only for Cassie to dart past it so fast it was redirected as well.

Eventually, it got down to Gregory versus Cassie, neither giving up just yet. Both of them were constantly throwing dodgeballs at each other and dodging, neither getting hit. Cassie would dart to one dodgeball, throw it, and then dart to another. Gregory, meanwhile, would deflect the balls using his water, then grab one and propel it faster than he could just throwing, in an attempt to defeat Cassie.

What neither of them knew was that both of their forms, entertainment and public, had locked abilities that would only come out when their code determined them ready.

Near the end, both of them unlocked the first of these abilities; telekinesis, made possible via Fazbear Entertainment technology. Gregory instinctively raised his hand, not using water, and all of the dodgeballs on his side lifted, too. Cassie, seeing what Gregory did and instinctively knowing how, did the same.

No hard feelings, right? Gregory asked mentally, smirking physically. Y’know, after I beat you?

None, Greg. After all, I’m gonna beat you, not the other way around. Cassie responded mentally, also smirking physically.

How about we make a bet, then? If you win, I have to do your bidding for the next week. If I win, you have to do my bidding for the same amount of time. Gregory suggested.

Deal! Cassie responded. With that, the both of them launched the dodgeballs at each other and started dodging.

Chapter Text

Cassie’s compressed air thrusters allowed her to move so fast that she could easily dodge the balls; which is what Gregory counted on. He threw them in such a way that she would inevitably dodge into one of them.

Gregory, meanwhile, used his water guns to push the dodgeballs back, preventing them from hitting him. Cassie expected this, so each ball came from a different angle, forcing Gregory to think immensely hard to figure out where to shoot in time.

What no-one expected, however, was for both of them to get hit at the same time. Gregory missed one of the balls until it was too late, and Cassie got hit by one of the balls Gregory threw.

“...huh. Guess neither of us win,” Gregory said.

“Oh, heck nah! Rematch, just the two of us!” Cassie yelled.

“Alright. Let’s also ban the telekinesis, alright?”

“Alright!”

With that, the two used their telekinesis to move the balls to the center of the room, then got to their areas. Both of them darted towards opposing ends of the line of dodgeballs; both moved left. They both started batting the balls into their areas, then retreated once the last ball had been claimed, by Cassie. Gregory started throwing the balls using his water guns as propulsion. Cassie, meanwhile, used her thrusters to dodge and perform enhanced throws.

It took a couple of minutes, but Cassie’s smaller form ultimately got her the win. Gregory was dodging quite well, but Cassie could move faster, and eventually caught one of the balls he threw.

Gregory, seeing this, stopped after dodging the last ball that was flying at him.

“Good game, Cassie!” Gregory yelled.

“Good game, Gregory!” Cassie yelled back. The teacher then called them over.

“Alright, with the rematch finished, Cassie’s team wins! Now, that took far longer than expected, so, sorry, but we won’t have another match,” the teacher said. “Go ahead and start heading for your next classes!”

~~~~~~~
Eventually, Gregory and Cassie started leading their friends to the Pizzaplex, where they’d made an appointment to reserve a VIP area to explain things to them. Cassie had known the group before the Pizzaplex Incident, while Gregory only met them the day of the Pizzaplex Battle, so it would also be used to properly introduce Gregory to the rest of them.
Upon entering the room, they each took a seat around one of the tables, as a STAFF bot brought them a pizza to share.
“So, you all know that we’re animatronics now,” Gregory began. “And no, I don’t feel comfortable sharing our causes of death; you’d all be traumatized. Cassie and I still stay near each other ninety percent of the time in our humanesque animatronic forms due to how fresh our deaths are, and how gory they are.” Both animatronics put their hands to their throats, phantom pains once again striking them.
“But we do feel comfortable answering some questions you all may have,” Cassie finished.
“Alright, I’ll go first,” Mike said. “I noticed you each grab your necks when someone brings up your deaths. Why?”
“Our death-causing injuries were to our necks,” Gregory answered. “We still feel phantom pains regarding our deaths.”
And so, they kept answering questions, until the building suddenly shook.
“What was that?” May asked, confused.
“I don’t know, but Greg and I are getting warnings to evac all guests,” Cassie said. “Follow us.”
The duo proceeded to lead the rest of the group towards the exit, before a massive, wire-made tentacle burst through the floor, destabilizing it.
“What the fuck!?” Gregory yelled in shock.
‘Hey!’ Helpi said, showing up in Gregory and Cassie’s vision. ‘The other animatronics are reporting issues with massive wire-made tentacles, too. I’m running scans, and they seem to be made from numerous different ancient animatronics. Anyway, guide these five out, then have your Entertainment forms focus on freeing the guests from rubble, but be careful, and make sure you don’t accidentally kill any of them!’
Meanwhile, in the atrium, tentacles of wire burst through the floor at random areas. Each of the animatronics started directing humans away from the tentacles, trying to keep them safe.
However, that’s when the head of the ancient animatronic Funtime Freddy emerged, on a mass of wires. It stared everyone down, before letting loose an inhuman screech, sending all the humans running.
Notes:
I'd tell you all to take a guess, but it's kinda obvious.
Chapter 12: Chapter 10: Tangled in Agony
Summary:
The Blob makes an appearance, and who the hell is this new animatronic?
Notes:
(See the end of the chapter for notes.)
Chapter Text
Cassie and Gregory had gotten their friends out of the Pizzaplex, before focusing their control on their entertainment forms. As the heads of security, both of them had to focus on the intruding animatronic, while the others led the evacuation.
“We don’t know,” Gregory called. “He’s in hiding, we’ve been working with the military to try to stop him!”
“Trust me, if I’m hiding something, even I don’t know that I am. He was directly responsible for the deaths of both myself and my best friend, so we won’t let him get away.”
Enraged, the wire tentacles started trying to attack the pair of cat animatronics, prompting them to try to fight back.
Soon, Glamrock Baby arrived on scene, as well, holding her claw at the ready.
“By now, they’re pretty much pure Agony,” she explained. “Fire is supposed to destroy Remnant, though us Aftons seem to have a resistance to it. Meanwhile, Agony is only fueled by it. But most of the older models aren’t waterproof like we are.”
“Gregory, you’re up!” Cassie yelled. Gregory started shooting water at the mass of wires, but that only seemed to enrage it, not weaken it.
“Damn it!” Gregory yelled. “We need to find some way to destroy it!”
‘The restaurant has been activated!’ Helpi said, appearing in his and Cassie’s vision. ‘The other animatronics are en route to your location!’
“Good. We’ll at least have some backup soon, not that it’ll do much.”
“My claw can tear Agony, but with such a high amount, it won’t really matter much,” Baby added.
“We need to find a way to destroy it, or we’re screwed. Such a massive mass of animatronics will have thousands of power sources, all located in different areas. Guns won’t be able to effectively deal with it.”
“I can think of something that may help, but it’d also kill everyone in town, and most of the surrounding forest,” Cassie added. “We need to find a way to kill it that doesn’t involve any death!”
The group kept dodging the wires, even when more animatronics joined them. Due to the high amount of possessed animatronics that made up the mass of wires, it could easily split its focus without losing efficiency, and it literally had eyes at every angle.
“Stop!” a voice yelled, which… somehow worked. The mass of wires stopped, bowing in the direction the voice came from. Coming through the smoke was… an old Foxy animatronic? This animatronic had sleek fur, an eyepatch on his right eye, an orange left eye, a parrot on his left shoulder, a pegleg instead of a left leg, and a hook instead of his right hand. He also had numerous burns, revealing he was actually made of plastic as, where the burns were heavier, he had bits of, not burned fabric, but melted plastic.
On his back was a mildly burnt accordion, though it did appear to be in working order.
“Didn’t I tell you, that our target was him ? These are merely animatronics that work for Fazbear Entertainment; you’re blaming the wrong entities.”
“Who are you?” Baby asked, her claw at his throat.
“Woah, baby sister. Good to see you’re no longer under Father’s thumb, but is that any way to greet your brother?” the animatronic asked, right before a soul walked out of the suit. Elizabeth then walked out of her suit, glaring. Evan, meanwhile, got out of his and ran to hug the man.
“Considering you killed our brother, the jury’s still out there, Mikey,” Liz said.
“He didn’t mean to,” Evan argued. “It was meant to be a harmless prank. Not his fault that that’s how we learned springlock animatronics are dangerous as fuck.”
“I’m still wondering who you are,” Gregory said, his claws extended as he stood in front of the rest of the animatronics.
“I’m Michael Afton,” the man introduced himself.
“Afton, huh? And Michael, at that?” Cassie mused. “Give me a second.” She walked over to a panel in the wall and opened it, before typing in a code. “This is Unit G-278, nickname Glamrock Cassie. Please send a team of security officers to our location. One of them should be Badge ID 8466, and the rest are entirely up to your purview. Just ensure that Badge ID 8466 reports to our location ASAP.”
“Understood, Ma’am,” a voice sounded on the other side of the communication system, this one a STAFF Bot. “Do you require any maintenance STAFF at your location as well?”
“Presently, no, S-567, though do have a couple squadrons of maintenance STAFF ready to mobilize. Specifically, prepare M-1, M-586, M-5435, and M-48643’s squadrons, and have M-6134, M-483414684, M-484348, and M-84684’s squadrons prepare themselves for the first four squadrons to call for backup.”
“Yes, Ma’am.”
“No further orders.” The terminal then shut off, and Cassie replaced the panel. She then left her animatronic, with the others following suit. Well, for those who possessed animatronics.
“...You possess animatronics?” Michael asked, shocked.
“Not quite,” Gregory answered. “We possess ocular integration chips that were installed in us by the AI assistant to the maintenance crew, Helpi, which are both housed in personal servers. My server connects to both this animatronic body, and my humanoid body, which is currently with Cassie’s humanoid body and our friends. Cassie’s in the same situation as me.”
“If you don’t mind me asking, how’d you die?”
“Well, you’re also dead, so I see no harm in answering,” Cassie said.
“I had my neck sliced by Glamrock Foxy while he was under your father’s control,” Gregory replied.
“And I was killed a couple of days later, by Gregory, while he was under your father’s control,” Cassie finished. “I had my air circulation cut off.”
“We both feel phantom pains when we’re reminded of our deaths,” Gregory added, explaining why he rubbed his hand over the front of his neck, and Cassie the sides of hers.
“Yeesh,” Michael replied. “I didn’t even have phantom pains. Of course, I’m pretty sure the Scooper was coated in a numbing agent that acted before the adrenaline could be stopped.”
Notes:
Yes, I know, it's short, but I wanted to end it on a cliffhanger. Sadly, that cliffhanger would have left it too short for me to be comfortable with.
Chapter Text
“Hey,” Gregory said, once The Agonized Mass was safely placed in his and Cassie’s bunker. He turned to Michael, Evan, Elizabeth, Cassidy and Charlie. “We never really learned your history.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” Cassie cut in. “Though, if I’m right, we’ll need a long time to explain, and it’d be easier to explain it to everyone at once.”
“That it will be,” Michael said. He quickly pulled out a walkie-talkie that he’d taken from the spares in one of the security offices. “Hey, Ness, could you meet us in the Pizzaplex theater? I need to talk with you and many others. Send in everyone who’s been important to this fight, including animatronics, and the general of the army and the chief of police. It’s important.”
“Okay, Dad,” Vanessa said. “I’ll see you there?”
“Yes you will, my little bunny.” Gregory and Cassie didn’t even have to see Vanessa to feel the blush emanating from her face.
“Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad,” Vanessa complained.
~~~~~~~

Soon enough, the entire group was gathered in the theater, with Elizabeth, Michael, Evan, Cassidy and Charlie standing on the stage, while everyone else sat in the seats.

“This is a long story, so I’m gonna go get us some seats,” Cassidy said before teleporting away, coming right back with a few plush chairs for her and the other storytellers.

“So, this story all starts in nineteen-eighty-three,” Evan begins.

To Be Continued...

Yes, it's short again. I apologize, but trust me, it'll be worth it; next up, Five Nights at Freddy's Four: Recharged!
