   Summary

   Maddox is autistic and hasn’t really told her friends, but she can’t find her earplugs one morning and refuses Jets suggestion of using her headphones because she doesn’t want to be made fun of.
   The overwhelm begins when Miss Jenn tells her she will be reading an excerpt from a play after school, and it only grows from there.
