You Always Come to The Parties on Your Knees

Summary:

Veronica never thought she’d fall in love with the mythic bitch of Westerburg High, look at her now.

Notes:

This fic, its title and chapter names are based off of The Party & The After Party by The Weeknd! One of my new obsessions is Heathers I love the movie and the musical so I wanted to write a little chansaw fic! This will have elements from the movie and musical

Chapter 1: With your Louie V Bag

Chapter Text

First day of senior year! How exciting right? Yeah I wish, one would think being part of the most powerful cliques in school would grant all the luxury and comfort you can get in high school.

You’d be wrong of course, there’s a lot more to being a Heather than it appears to be. Yes we spend most of our day being massive bitches to the student body; kicking nerds in the noses and tearing up people’s lawns in Duke’s Jeep when we’re drunk but there’s also work that goes into holding up such a reputation.

I’d know a lot about that considering I’m the odd ball out of the four of us, see I’m not a Heather I’m a Veronica. Being a Veronica has gotten me knee deep in the bull shit we call social hierarchies. Was this my plan from the start? Yes. Do I now regret my decisions up until this point? Also yes. There’s nothing I can do about it now, I’ll just have to stick it out and hopefully not be dead by June.

Veronica shut her diary after finishing the last paragraph of her writing, she’d been writing out her thoughts and feeling since she was young, they used to be about such positive things like what her favorite books were or what had happened during her day but now she mostly just complained about how much she hated her school and furthermore the people in it. She looked over at the clock that sat on her desk, 3 am already? She sighed and dragged herself into bed hopefully today wouldn’t be too insufferable.

Veronica was dressed in her signature blue blazer and skirt, she looked at herself in the mirror trying to decide which necklace to wear when she got close to a decision she heard Heather Chandler’s voice in her head telling her she can’t accessorize for shit. Veronica eventually gave up and walked down stairs to be greeted by her parents; they were kind normal people who loved their daughter. Her parents were about the most sane people she knew, she didn’t even know if she herself was even completely sane anymore.

“Morning mom, morning dad.” Veronica greeted while making herself a bowl of cheap cereal and a cup of black coffee.

“Morning honey!” Her parents greeted in unison while going on about their business, her dad making a pathetic attempt at fixing his tie and her mother eyeing him with a look a sympathy and slight disappointment. Veronica tried not to laugh as her father finally gave up and looked pleadingly at her mother, Mrs. Sawyer sighed and helped her poor husband, the family laughed at the situation much to Mr. Sawyer’s dismay.

Suddenly there was a loud and long honk from a car horn. Shit, Veronica forgot the Demon Queen was picking her up today. She chugged the rest of her coffee, kissed her parents goodbye and hurried out of her house to see none other than a very pissed looking Heather Chandler in her signature bright red Porsche. Veronica mentally prepared herself for what she was gonna endure and got into the car, she greeted Heather Duke and Heather McNamara in hopes of stalling the inevitable. She internally sighed and turned to look at Heather, who of course narrowed her eyes at Veronica and scowled.

“Hey Heather…” She chuckled dryly dragging out the y in hey and grinned widely

Heather scowled deeper which was definitely not a good sign but then started driving at her usual totally not legal speed, ‘Oh yeah I’m in for it now, she didn’t even verbally abuse me for being thirty seconds late, she definitely has something worse than word's in store for me’ Veronica thought.

The drive to Westerburg was uneventful to say the least, although the tense silence that filled the car unnerved Veronica greatly, what could Heather possibly be plotting? Not confiding to Heathers strict time limits couldn't of pissed her off that badly to the point she won't speak or even look at her! Veronica shifted in the passenger seat uncomfortably while staring at Heathers face in hopes of maybe figuring out what the hell the matter was. Was it something she'd done prier and her being late was just the tipping point? No, that was unlikely if this was any other situation Heather would've chewed her out anyways.

Veronica decided to just wait it out, Heather would eventually yell at her about what ever she’d done. She actually didn’t mind the silent treatment, it was rare Heather wasn’t bitching at everyone and everything. Westerburg was in view she mentally prepared herself to skip almost all her classes, spend way to much time in the bathroom and glare at poor defenseless freshmen.

Instead Heather countinued to drive, Veronica cocked her eyebrow and spared a glance at Heather. She wasn’t scowling anymore which was good but was still frowning. She turned to look at the other Heathers they looked as confused as her but Duke looks preticularly upset.

“We’re not going to that hell hole today, I need some retail therapy.” Heather Chandler finally spoke, her voice softer than usual.

Duke frowned deeper scrunching up her eyebrows, “Why didn’t you say anything? I have an English test I don’t wanna miss. Plus who the hell goes to the mall at eight in the morning?” Duke mumbled.

“The nerds kinda right Heather” Veronica mumbled, Duke glared at Veronica for calling her a nerd.

“Would the both of you stop bitching for two seconds? You really rather go to school?” Chandler hissed.

“You’re one to talk…” McNamara mumbled quietly.

Chandler glared at her through the rear view mirror, Mac pretended not the see her and stared out the window with a small smirk on her face.

Chapter 2: Tats On Your Arms

Summary:

The Heathers and Veronica go on a very odd shopping spree together

Notes:

Wooo I’m actually getting through this story at a pretty good pace!

Chapter Text

Chandler pulled into the parking lot of their favorite mall, it was mostly their favorite because it was the only mall in a reasonably distance but it wasn’t to shabby. The four of them got out of Heather’s Porsche and walked into the mall.

“What are we here for anyways?” Duke grumbled with her arms crossed clearly still miffed about missing her test.

Heather Chandler decided to ignore Duke’s attitude, “Nothing specific, like I said retail therapy, don’t be dense today please?” She huffed rolling her eyes.

Duke narrowed her eyes and flipped off the back of Chandler’s head, Veronica and Mac chuckled quietly.

The four of them were in a clothing store trying on clothes, well the Heathers were. Veronica was staring up the ceiling in absolute boredom. This kind of store wasn’t in her taste after all, all sparkles and glitter dumped onto tacky dresses.

“It’s nice seeing you all in these ‘beautiful’ dresses but when can we get the hell out of here?” Veronica complained sarcasm laced in her voice. She crossed her arms and slouched on a near by wall.

The Heathers all rolled their eyes and sighed, “Can’t you shut the hell up for a couple of minutes? It’s not our fault you dress like a homeless person and don’t know what real fashion is.” Chandler spoke shaking her head.

“Fashion? You three dress like traffic lights on the daily and I must not dress that badly if you three still hangout with me huh?” Veronica smirked, she turned around walking out of the store knowing the other three girls would follow her.

The four girls were now in the food court, Veronica was munching on a burger in a highly undignified fashion; ketchup and mustard was plastered all over her face. Duke glanced at the girl in unconcealed disgust, Mac merely found the image amusing and Chandler completely ignored her. The reactions from the other two Heathers wasn’t uncommon but the radio silence Chandler provided was out of character. Usually she’d roll her eyes, say something snarky like, how much of a slob she was or straight up forcefully wipe the offending condiments off of Veronica’s face. Today she sat and looked off into the distance in what looked like very deep thought.

The other two Heathers seemed to catch onto Chandlers odd behavior, Duke decided to say something.

“Hey, are you alright over there? You’re looking like a total space cadet.” Duke said looking at Chandler over the book she’d been reading while judging Veronica.

“Hm? Oh I’m fine, it’s nothing.” Chandler responded in a monotone voice.

Duke eyed her suspiciously, shrugged and continued reading her book. Mac looked between the two then side glanced Veronica, Veronica shrugged as well and stuffed the rest of her burger in her mouth. This was really starting to get weird, what the hell was up with Chandler today?!

After their lunch break the four girls were on the move again, they were now window shopping; they would buy more but they were concerned about how much space all the bags would take up in the car. The Heathers were walking ahead and Duke and Mac chatted about a biology test they had that week while Chandler listened and nodded at appropriate times. Unfortunately for Veronica she was not able to be a part of the conversation considering she was struggling not to drop the various bags she was balancing in her arms.

The four passed a new store that was built, it was a tattoo shop! Veronica’s eyes lit up, she’d always dreamed of getting a tattoo a totally bad ass one to specific. She stopped and stared at the windows showing all the intricate designs the tattoo artists were capable of. Her smile growing wider in seeing the prices weren’t all that bad either.

“What are you staring at?” Chandler spoke, in the process scaring the shit out of Veronica, when had she gotten so close?

“Oh just looking at the tattoos, you guys know I’ve always wanted one.” She explained looking over at the shorter girl.

Chandler looked at the shop then Veronica. They held eye contact for a while before Chandler turned bright red and sped walked back over to the others.

“Come on pillowcase, I’ll probably take you to get a tattoo another time but we should be getting back to my house soon!” Chandler called behind her not looking in Veronica’s direction.

Veronica tilted her head in confusion like a puppy but decided not to question Chandler on her odd behavior and just followed the other three girls with a quiet sigh. Wait did Chandler just offer to take her to get a tattoo?

Chapter 3: High heel shoes, make you six feet tall

Summary:

Mac and Duke finally figure out what’s wrong with Chandler, Veronica on the other hand is clueless.

Notes:

The plot thickens! And I’m not dead!

Chapter Text

The four girls were now at Chandler’s house, if you can even call it that, it was more like a castle if anything. The girls hopped out of Chandler’s red Porsche, the Heathers walked ahead of Veronica while she grabbed the multitude of bags they managed to shove into the cars small trunk. Veronica rolled her eyes as she balanced the bags looking up at the other three girls, ‘Who am I? Their butler?’ Veronica thought as the girls managed their way into the house.

“You can drop the bags off in my room.” Chandler mumbled absentmindedly as she raided her cabinets for most likely Corn Nuts.

Veronica grumbled and internally sighed at the tall spiral stair case leading upstairs. After a couple of minutes of struggling and giggles from Duke and Mac she managed the haul the bags into Chandler’s room, she stopped to catch her breath and survey the room. She’d been here a couple of times but never really got to take the room in.

Unsurprisingly there was lots of red, but not a great amount it became tacky, it actually looked very nice. Veronica placed the bags down and stretched her back out. She heard the door squeak and she turned to see Duke and Mac standing in the doorway with matching smirks

“What are you two smiling about?” Veronica said raising an eyebrow, skepticism visible on her face.

“Are you really that dense? You haven’t noticed what’s wrong with Heather yet?” Duke dead panned looking particularly disappointed.

Veronica raised an eye brow unfiltered confusion drawn all over her face. “What are you talking about?” She asked, looking the still smirking girls up and down.

Mac and Duke shook their heads looking like a pair of disappointed parents. Veronica huffed, furrowing her brows. What do they mean I haven’t noticed what going on with Heather? They do?

Mac and Duke smiled sadly at her apparent incompetence and stalked off back down stairs, Veronica was left standing in the middle of her best friend/arch nemesis’ room looking like an idiot. She grumbled and followed the two back down stairs where they had gotten as many snacks as they could carry and were sat in front of the tv.

Veronica smiled hoping they’d let her pick a movie to watch this time. She plopped down next to Chandler and snatched the bowl of popcorn from Duke earning her a glare and a middle finger. She chuckled and munched on the popcorn.

She spared a glance and Chandler to see her very rigid posture and awkward air around her. She cocked her head and lightly nudged Chandler with her shoulder. “Hey are you sure you’re alright? You’ve been completely off all day?” Veronica questioned fixing Chandler with a stare like she’d be able to read her mind if she tried hard enough.

Chandlers face scrunched and she crossed her arms, “Why do you people keep asking me that? I’m fine, just- just leave me alone!” Chandler seethed her face bright red. Veronica thought it was because she was angry, but Mac and Duke shared knowing smirks and shrugged at the Demon Queen nonchalantly. Now THAT confused Veronica even further, either those two have lost their minds or they’re actually paying no mind to Chandler’s explosive attitude. What did they know that she didn’t?

While Veronica sat in thought and Chandler scooted away from the girl in blue with her face still red, Mac and Duke stood up and announced their departure. “Heather has to take me to cheer practice today, it starts at five” Mac explained easily, a sweet smile on her round face as Duke stood near the front door looking bored.

Chandler’s eyes went wide and she whipped her head around to give Duke a death glare. Duke simply smiled and winked while Mac bounced her way out of the door with her accomplice in tow. Veronica simply smiled and waved the girls off before turning back to Chandler who looked like she was about to commit murder.

“Uhm, do you want me to leave?” Veronica asked inching closer to the door, all she needed was a yes or no answer and she’d book it.

Chandler opened her mouth before her phone chimed signaling she’d gotten a text. She rolled her eyes and checked it, she then groaned loudly and threw it on the couch.

“No.” She stated flatly still looking pissed as ever. Veronica was very confused and slightly concerned, but sat back down to avoid making Chandler even more mad somehow. She sat a considerable distance away from her on the couch. Chandler looked like a caged animal, defensive and irritated. Veronica didn’t know how to react to this side of Chandler.

Heather sighed and looked at Veronica with a kind of resolve in her eyes.

“I have something to tell you, Veronica” Heather spoke softly, almost timid.

Veronica nodded and decided to take her chances and scoot closer to the girl in red. At least she’d finally be able to find out what was wrong with her. Any normal friend would be concerned about her best friends behavior.

Chapter 4: Everybody wants you, you can have them all But I got what you need...

Summary:

Heather and Veronica talk, feelings are exposed and Veronica is not the smartest in the love department.

Notes:

Happy New Year y'all! This is the chapter where the pining stops! Next chapters after this will just them being gay for each other :)

Chapter Text

Veronica looked at Heather with her full attention and to be honest it freaked Heather out. ‘Why does she have to look at me like I’m the only thing in the world that matters?’ Heather thought as she tried to find a way to articulate her sentence. She fiddled with the hem of her skirt while looking at everything but the beautiful girl currently sitting on her couch.

“Uhm…Heather you okay? You said you had something to tell me?” Veronica spoke up after a minute or two of awkward silence between the two. Concern was written all over her face.

“Huh? Oh yeah, I have been thinking about something for a while now…and I think it’s time I tell you.” Heather started trying to add as much confidence into her voice as she could.

Veronica’s back straightened at Heather’s tone, was she gonna get kicked out again? She’d hoped not, she didn’t really want to admit it to herself but she’d gotten oddly attached to Heather. The way she looked flawless all the time, her confident demeanor, she also liked Heather’s softer side. Heather would probably drop dead before she said it out loud but Veronica knew she loved Duke and Mac as much as Veronica did, she cared for them all in her own Heather Chandler way.

“Oh fuck it might as well stop beating around the bush…” Chandler grumbled her cheeks again bright red as she finally looked Veronica in the eyes.

Veronica pulled herself out of her own head to pay attention to what Heather was about to tell her, a slight blush raised on her cheeks. Heather’s striking grey eyes were very pretty…

“Veronica I- I love you!” Heather finally blurted out. Her eyes suddenly went wide as she slapped her hand over her mouth. Was straight up saying ‘I love you’ a bit much?

Veronica smiled and giggled a bit, before answering. “I love you too, Chandler, now seriously what did you want to tell me?” Veronica stopped laughing but still had that goofy little grin on her infuriatingly cute face.

Heather looked dumbfounded for a minute, Veronica Sawyer is a mysterious creature.‘Why is she acting like me literally telling her I love her is normal?’ Heather thought narrowing her eyes at the brunette in front of her. She then pinched the bridge of her nose and suppressed an annoyed groan.

“No Veronica, I LOVE you!” Heather said again putting great emphasis on the word ‘love’ hoping it would get through to the obviously very dense girl she somehow fell in love with.

Veronica raised her eye brow and cocked her head to the side like a puppy- which melted Chandler’s cold heart a little. Realization suddenly dawned on the brunette and her face burned red instantly. Her brown eyes as big as dinner plates as she tried and failed to process this information. Hell, she knew Heather had some kind of affection for her but not the romantic kind- it was Veronica’s thing to be hopelessly in love with people she’d never get a chance with.

“You- you like, love, love me, like a romantic kind of love?” Veronica questioned blinking at Heather like an idiot.

Heather had finally had enough and face palmed, shaking her head. Again she was in disbelief at how she had the biggest, stupidest crush on this girl. The heart and the mind are really two separate things huh?

“Yes, Ronnie, I love you in a romantic kind of way.” Heather grounded out not realizing she’d used the nickname she called Veronica in her head out loud.

It was Veronica’s turn to blush, she was flattered beyond belief and also trying desperately to wrap her head around how Heather fucking Chandler could be in love with an ex-nobody like her. She rubbed her cheeks bashfully like she was trying to rub the crimson blush from her face.

Heather was internally kicking herself, stupid, stupid, stupid. Who the hell confesses their feelings for a person by yelling ‘I love you’ at them. Who knew Heather Chandler was so brain dead when it came to romance? She squeezed her palms open and closed repeatedly, resisting the urge to wipe her sweaty palms on her skirt.

Veronica opened her mouth, then closed it quirking her brow. She seemed to be trying to figure out what to say. Was she going to reject her? Tell her she loves her too? Yell at her? Punch her? Kiss her? Heather was on the edge of her seat trying to not stare at Veronica like a creep but also trying to read her expression. She’d very much prefer Veronica kissing her, but probably wouldn’t blame her if she shot her down. She’d most likely be butt hurt and punch more helpless nerds for the next two weeks than usual, but would probably get over it with time.

Veronica finally seemed to figure out what to say judging by the resolved smile she had on her face, Heather subconsciously leaned in closer ready to hear her verdict. Instead of saying anything Veronica shot forward and kissed Heather passionately. Heather was caught off guard and squeaked quite embarrassingly as she melted into the brunettes soft welcoming lips. Veronica grinned and giggled quietly at the cute noise, she didn’t know Heather had the capability to be this cute. Cute wasn’t her thing, being as hot as hell on wheels was definitely more up her alley.

Heather got the hang of herself and shifted even closer to Veronica, effectively pulling herself into the taller girls lap. The two made out for what felt like years, Heather doing back flips in her head, ‘She likes me back! Never thought I’d be this happy to be in a relationship with anyone!’ She thought. A soft smile forming on her lips as the two continued to kiss breaking apart only for gasp of air.

“So does that mean you’re my girlfriend now?” Veronica suddenly spoke backing away a bit to look Heather in the eye.

Heather rolled her eyes light heartedly and smiled, “Yes, I’m your girlfriend, idiot.” Heather said, sticking her tongue out at the girl in blue.

Veronica grinned ear to ear like she’d just won the lottery and tackled Heather onto the couch continuing to kiss her, Heather enthusiastically returned the kisses and pulled Veronica closer.

She’d have to thank Duke and Mac the next time she saw them.

Chapter 5: Girl, I got your bag, I got it all Hold your drink, baby, don't you fall

Summary:

The Heathers + Veronica go to a party and have fun- for the most part.

Notes:

The fifth installment of this fic! I’m actually pretty proud of this- although my grammar could be better (I’m too lazy to go back and fix it tbh).

Chapter Text

The four girls were in one of Westerburg’s many bathrooms touching up their make up before their lunch period. Veronica watched as Chandler touched up her bright cherry red lipstick, a soft flush evident on her cheeks.

“Jeesh ‘Ronica drool much?” Duke snickered as she and Mac watched her from one of the counters.

Veronica blew a raspberry at them and avoided looking at Chandler knowing she’d have an obnoxiously sexy- annoying smirk on her face.

Real mature Sawyer…” Duke drawled, still grinning at her.

Chandler wordlessly finished her makeup and strutted out of the bathroom towards the cafeteria, the other three girls followed without question.

They were now seated at their designated table, Mac was gushing over something she’d been hyper-fixating on for the past couple of months while Duke listened smiling over at the blonde girl as she absentmindedly poked at some nearly inedible cafeteria lunch.

Chandler people watched narrowing her eyes at each group of kids, the jocks, the Country Club kids, even the losers. Always surveying her kingdom. Veronica was in thought about her new found relationship and how she never thought her crush on Heather would be returned. She’d always had a crush on Chandler since freshman year, but shoved it down knowing her feeling would never be reciprocated. Now she could let all those repressed emotions bubble up and it made her giddy, she finally had a girlfriend and she was Heather mother fucking Chandler of all girls!

Veronica was snapped out of her thoughts as she saw Ram and Kurt make their way towards them, she internally rolled her eyes not particularly keen on getting harassed today.

Ram flashed his most charming grin and spoke, “Hey ladies, I’m having a party tonight I was wondering if you’d like to join in?” He spoke, he was the smoothest son of a bitch out there in his mind…

Mac, Duke and Veronica eyed him and Kurt with looks of mild annoyance and looked at Chandler, it was the pack leader’s call after all. Chandler stayed silent for a couple of seconds before answering.

“We’ll be there.” She spoke simply and coolly flashing her own confident smirk at the football player.

Ram beamed, he then blew Heather a kiss and threw a “See you there, baby!” Over his shoulder as he and the other quarterback stalked off, which made Veronica cringe intensely.

“There better be good alcohol there this time to make being near those idiots worth it…” Duke hissed, looking at the football players with distain. Mac smiled and patted the shorter girls shoulder. Duke blushed as she looked over at Mac’s hand.

It was later in the night and the girls had gotten dolled up and ready for Ram’s party. They had decided to take Duke’s Jeep. Duke was driving and actually paying attention and doing the speed limit(unlike some people we know), Chandler was in the passenger seat staring out the window with a bored look, and Mac and Veronica were in the back belting out the lyrics to a random song Duke had put on. Duke rolled her eyes at the yellow and blue girls antics a soft smile evident on her face.

They eventually pulled up the Ram’s house, people were already in the front yard either throwing up, smoking or black out drunk on the lawn. ‘Jeesh it’s only 9:30 how are people already this fucked up?’ Veronica thought as she stepped around a dude who was sprawled out in the concrete walk way mumbling and giggling as he stared up at the night sky.

Before the four of them could get in the door Veronica suddenly spotted JD, Martha and Betty near the side of the house. She beamed as she split off from the group, she didn’t notice Chandler roll her eyes as the other three continued into the door.

“Hey! What are you guys doing here? Not that I’m not happy to see you!” Veronica smiled jogging over to the three.

“Fancy seeing you here, Sawyer. Ram must’ve been in a good mood enough to let us attend. I guess he meant it when he said everyone was invited?” JD explained slouching against the brick house with a drink in hand.

“It’s so good to see you Veronica! It feels like we haven’t hung out in forever!” Martha exclaimed bringing the girl in blue into a tight hug.

Veronica beamed and hugged the shorter girl back as JD and Betty playfully argued over why Ram suddenly had a change of heart about inviting losers to his house.

“Kurt must’ve given him such good head he pulled the massive stick out of his ass!” Betty cackled as Martha smacked her arm jokingly.

Veronica smiled, shaking her head at her friend’s antics, she then heard Duke’s voice behind her. “Sawyer, your girlfriend- I mean Heather is looking for you, I suggest you haul ass to Her Majesty before she guts you!” Duke called, a shit eating grin split across on her face as she stared at Veronica, daring her to say something.

Veronica narrowed her eyes dangerously at the black-haired girl resisting the urge to call her a bitch. After a couple of moments of tense staring Duke turned and walked back into the house, clearly expecting Veronica to follow. Ronnie said goodbye to her friends and promised they’d hang out soon, then she walked into the house trying to figure out where the green Heather had gone off to.

Veronica soon found all three girls standing in the kitchens nursing drinks and watching everyone else play spin the bottle. She slid up behind Chandler and discreetly rested her chin atop the other girls head, Chandler did not take kindly to being reminded there were people taller than her and elbowed Veronica in the stomach. Ronnie backed off snickering at Chandler’s glare.

“Dukey said you needed me?” Ronnie started, she was interrupted by Duke yelling at her.

“Don’t ever call me ‘Dukey’ again or I swear I will skin you alive!” She seethed while Mac lost her shit folding over in laughter, even Chandler struggled to keep the smile off of her face.

Mac then pulled Duke away to the group of kids playing spin the bottle to prevent her from potentially strangling Veronica.

Heather flushed pink before speaking in an uncharacteristically soft voice, “I just wanted to see you…” she explained avoiding Veronica’s eyes. Veronica internally ‘aw’d’ at Heathers demeanor and curled her arm around Heather’s waist, not before making sure no one was looking.

Kurt suddenly called from the circle of people playing the game, “Hey Heather, how about you and ‘Ronica join us, It’ll be fun!” He called wiggling his eyebrows suggestively. Heather rolled her eyes and went to sit down Veronica in tow. The two girls settled in with Mac and Duke, Chandler sat between Veronica and Duke due to the girl in green still glaring daggers at the former.

Ram did the honors of spinning the empty beer bottle, probably hoping and praying it would land on Chandler judging the by the way he glanced over at her constantly while the bottle took its sweet time landing on someone.

Veronica sighed a sigh of relief seeing the bottle land on Country Club Courtney, the girl in question raised an eye brow and sent the boys in the circle a flirty smile. Then Ram spun it again to see who Courtney would be kissing. The bottle landed on another football player Veronica couldn’t remember the name of for the life of her.

Courtney crawled over to the blonde haired boy on her hands and knees, seems like she wants to put on a show tonight…The Heathers all rolled their eyes in unison. The boy to his credit blushed profusely as Courtney finally stopped about half way into his lap. She finally got it over with and kissed the boy, she of course had to take her sweet time; making the kiss last for a good thirty seconds.

Cheers erupted from the group of teenagers, some wolf whistles could be heard in the crowd not participating in the game as well. After Courtney was satisfied with her work she got out of the boys lap not before sending him a flirtatious smirk and a wink.

Heather sighed loudly hoping to convey her obvious boredom. Courtney send her a glare which she gladly returned. Ram giddily spun the bottle again, all the horny boys in the circle leaned in and stole glances at Chandler, Veronica tried to reign in her frustration; of course none of them knew her and Heather were an item now, but it didn’t mean Veronica couldn’t be at least a little possessive over her new relationship.

The bottle finally landed on Chandler, safe to say everyone was on the edge of their metaphorical seats as Ram spun the bottle again to see the lucky bastard that would be kissing the Demon Queen tonight. As the bottle passed Chandler again it came to a slow stop right in front of Veronica.

Ronnie tried to fight off the smirk on her face; seems like fate was on her side tonight. The boys leaned back and looked conflicted, they at least would see Heather and one of her pretty minions getting into it at least. Chandler glanced at Veronica with her notorious smirk and raised an eye brow. Veronica coyly smiled back and leaned in; giving Chandler a chaste peck on the cheek.

Ram and Kurt gave looks of bewilderment, while Duke and Mac fought to keep it together. The rest of the teen in the circle gave their sounds of disapproval and gave Veronica unimpressed looks

“Alright, seriously no fuckin’ ‘round! Give us what we want ladies!” Kurt slurred as he narrowed his eyes at the two girls.

Chandler sighed and shook her head with a small hidden smile on her lips at Veronica’s antics before grabbing her face and kissing her soundly. Ronnie was took off guard and struggled a beat to reciprocate. The crowd watching from the side lines cheered again as Chandler deepened the kiss to a bit more than a completely platonic smooch.

Heather pulled back and smirked in a self satisfied manner. Veronica was dazed for a second before finally regained her composure. ‘Wow’, was all that was running through the girl in blue's head as she smiled dumbly and tried not to stare at her girl friend too much, in case anyone got any ideas.

“All right party people, I think it’s time we call it a night.” Chandler announced to everyone as she stood up, Duke, Mac, and Veronica followed suit in perfect, almost practiced fashion. The party goers all made their looks and sounds of dissatisfaction clear. Chorus’ of ‘aw no Heather stay!’s and ‘So soon?’s rang out throughout the living room. Heather ignored them as they made their way toward the door, it was pushing two in the morning when they left so it wasn’t entirely too early for them to leave

When they all took their seats back in Duke’s Jeep, they all sighed out sounds of relief. Contrary to popular belief the Heathers weren’t all that into wild parties, they’d prefer a quiet night at home with each other more than anything. Although the job of keeping up appearances stopped those wants quickly. They had to be the hard drinking, party animals that took boys up to private rooms at almost every party.

On the drive back to Chandler’s, Mac and Veronica decided to sing another song out loud, although a bit quieter due to their fatigue. Duke even joined in a soft smile on her face as the three of them sang along to the catchy song. Chandler stared out the window her face softened and relaxed as she listened to her best friends sing their tired hearts out.

Chapter 6: Be there in a minute, baby, just one call You don't gotta ask me

Summary:

Veronica stays over at Chandler’s house.

Notes:

Slight TW: Things get a bit spicy but nothing truly explicit!

This is the final chapter of this fic and I loved every second of it! I’m really proud of myself for finishing this even though it took way longer than it should’ve. Also sorry for not writing actual smut I’m too much of a wussy for that. :,)

Chapter Text

Duke dropped off Veronica with Chandler since the brunette had complained she didn’t feel like going home tonight. Duke was tired and gave no mind to Veronica wanting to stay with the blonde. Although Mac was coherent enough to make kissy faces at the two of them as Duke pulled out of Chandler’s drive way.

Chandler stuck her tongue out at the other blonde as she and Veronica stepped into her mansion.

“Wow who knew the Demon Queen was so childish?” Veronica snorted as she smiled.

Chandler scoffed and shoulder bumped the brunette playfully, she then sauntered her way up the large spiraling staircase to her room. Veronica’s cheeks flushed lightly as she looked at the strawberry blonde’s uncovered legs as she made her way up the staircase. Heather turned and raised an eyebrow at her companion.

“Aren’t you coming, Ronnie?” She asked, tilting her head innocently.

Veronica nodded dumbly, blushing profusely and followed the blonde to her room. The two were now settled in Heather's room, Veronica was seated on her plush king sized bed, while Heather sat at her vanity removing the days' makeup. The brunette rarely saw Heather without her makeup and she decided to take advantage and stare while the strawberry blond wipe off her bright red lipstick. 'Heather has nice lips...' Veronica thought bashfully as she continued to watch her girlfriend.

"Wow Ronnie, Heather was right, you do stare at me a lot." Heather teased, a grin plastered on her pink lips as she looked back at the brunette in her mirror.

Veronica stammered and flopped back in Heather's bed covering her face with her hands. "I-it's not like that, you're just so- so..." Veronica murmured still hiding behind her hands and bangs.

"Sexy? Unbelievably attractive? Hot as hell on wheels?" Heather listed off, with a self satisfied smirk she plopped down on her bed with her flustered girlfriend and crossing her legs looking over at the other girl.

"You're narcissistic is what you are..." Veronica deadpanned, a light dusting of pink still evident on her face.

Heather rolled her eyes good-naturedly and flopped backwards to mirror Veronica’s position. Ronnie smiled and rolled over to curl into Heather’s side and sighed out in content.

“This is nice…” she murmured as she snuggled into the shorter blonde.

Heather smiled softly and watched Veronica for a moment before a mischievous glint shone in her eyes, “Who knew the big and bad Veronica Sawyer was such a cuddle bug?” She cooed teasingly.

Veronica dead panned at the blonde hoping to convey her unamusement before smirking and rolling on top of the shorter girl pinning her arms above her head.

“V- Veronica?! what are you doing?” Heather stammered as she stared up at the brunette, her face going bright red.

Veronica smirked and leaned down to kiss the other girl passionately. Heather reciprocated immediately, whimpering into the kiss as she flexed her hands still bound in Veronica’s hands. The two only breaking away momentarily for short bursts of air, before diving right back into each others lips.

“Have you ever had sex with a girl, Heather?” Veronica asked in a husky voice as she trailed kisses down the blonde’s pale neck.

Heather shook her head as she gasped and squirmed under Veronica’s ministrations.

“Do you want to?” The brunette asked, stopping at Heather’s collarbone, leaving kisses and love bites.

Heather nodded her head yes immediately, whining Veronica’s name for good measure as she arched into the girl in blue’s touch. Veronica smirked and continued her journey down Heather’s body.

Heather awoke to bright sunlight streaming through her curtains and the pleasant chirping of birds outside her window. She smiled contently feeling her girlfriend’s bare body pressed to hers as they shared body heat. She then sighed out quietly as she rolled over to face Veronica’s sleeping form. Veronica was still asleep with her luscious brown locks castigating around her peaceful face, Heather watched the slow, relaxed rise and fall of the girl’s chest, a faint flush evident on her cheeks as she day dreamed about their lives together.

They’d graduate, move into an apartment together for college, grow their careers, get a house, have nice cars, a few pets, maybe even a kid or two? Heather’s faint blush intensified at the thought of having kids with Veronica.

‘Christ when did I become such a sap?’ She thought as she sat up in her bed, finally done burning the image of an adorable sleeping Veronica into her mind.

“Creep…” Veronica mumbled almost inaudibly as she opened her eyes and began rubbing the sleep from them and smiled at the blonde.

Heather’s flush flared and she smacked Veronica on the shoulder before getting up and retrieving her favorite silk robe.

“If there’s a creep between the two of us, it’s most definitely you!” She sassed as she sauntered into her large walk in closet.

The two girls were now down stairs, munching on their breakfast as they watched tv on the couch.

“I didn’t know you could cook?” Veronica mumbled suddenly around a mouthful of chocolate chip pancakes. She stared at Heather’s suddenly slightly annoyed face.

“Well when your mother raises you to be fully equipped to ‘take care of your future husband’, cooking is on the top of that list. I started learning how to cook when I was three.” Heather scoffed, rolling her eyes as she furrowed her brow.

Veronica gave the other girl a sympathetic look and placed her arm around her, kissing her on the temple.

“Well…I think you should be able to cook for whoever you want, or no one for that matter!” Veronica lamented, a slight smile gracing her lips.

Heather smiled at her girlfriend, a foreign feeling she had now named love bubbling in her chest.

“I think I like cooking for you, Ronnie.” She murmured, a gentle smile carved on her lips as she watched the girl in blue.

Veronica ginned brightly, “I think I like you cooking for me too!” She chuckled as the two of them turned back to the tv to watch some crappy romcom rerun they’d both probably seen a million times already.

“I love you, Heather.” Veronica stated, reaching over to hold the hand of the girl she loved more than anything.

“I love you too, Veronica.” Heather replied simply, a flush evident on her cheeks as she looked at the beautiful girl sitting next to her, she felt it in her heart that this dork was the one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.
