"He doesn't please me like you do. He doesn't hurt me like you do." She desperately professed, her eyes full of longing and aching for him.
Levi tried to process her, analyzing every word she professed onto him in his mind as if it were life or death. He can't tell if it's the alcohol messing with his mind, or is this really how she truly felt. He felt a pang of guilt within him as that damned Kirschtein boy was one of his best soldiers. It would be a break of trust and respect built throughout the years to be this close to his fiance and bride-to-be, especially since he was his Captain.
"Mikasa..?" His tone was low and tremulous, looking at her with worried, unsure eyes, as she moved closer toward him. Levi chokes up, trying to speak up to protest, but then she places her finger on his lips, shushing him. "He doesn't love me like you do…" She whispered provocatively, making him feel a growing arousal. He had nothing in his mind but hunger and desire for this minx who had him dangling on her noose. He had always been a man of virtue, loyalty, with blood run with gray morality. Tonight, everything will be black as the moonless night they are sharing.
Alone in her dressing room, admiring her beautiful wedding dress in front of the mirror, she hears a knock on the door.
"Come in." She says, still facing the mirror.
The door creaked open, stepping foot into the room, inviting himself in. Mikasa's lips curve to a small amused smile, seeing him through the mirror that Levi was dressed in his best suit and styled his slicked back hair. "Don't they say it's bad luck to see the Bride in her wedding dress before the wedding?" She playfully joked with a hint of flirtation.
Levi responds with a grunt of annoyance, fixing his bow-tie. "I'm not the one who's marrying you." Mikasa rolled her eyes and focused on fixing her appearance in the mirror.
"Bet you wish you were, hmm?" She teased.
"I think you should stop teasing me like that, Mrs Kirschtein." He says bitterly, with a strict, firm tone that set a stone wall between them despite his growing arousal and desire to fuck her right then and there just seeing her in that wedding dress.
"It's still Miss Ackerman." Mikasa stopped fixing herself on the mirror and slyly turned to meet his gaze. "I haven't kissed the groom yet, have I?"
Levi hissed, feeling his trousers grow tighter from his growing hardness. This brat is gonna be the end of me. He moved closer to her and grabbed her roughly by the hair, making her gasp as their bodies press together. his eyes were dangerous and hungry, staring right down her soul. Mikasa's lips part, making a small hole, shocked from his unexpected roughness. Levi's eyes shift to her soft, inviting lips, that he so craved to taste again since the bachelorette party. They can feel the heat of their breaths and pants against their skin, looking at each other with intense eyes full of lust, desperation, and desire.
The church doors opened, everyone turned their heads to look at the beautiful bride. her veil covered her face, hiding the guilt and doubt in her eyes. She forced a smile, when she looked up at the altar where her excited groom stood Alongside, him. Levi looked at Mikasa with his usual bored, cold look that followed her every movement. she could sense there was more happening within him as she started to walk down the pristine, white carpet of the aisle. The carpet was supposed to represent "purity." How ironic. She would have laughed if she didn't feel the growing guilt in her at this moment. She felt like she was walking on a tightrope to a death sentence each time her heels took another step. When she noticed she was finally on the altar next to Jean, she took a quick glance at Levi who was standing with the groomsmen. He knew he should feel ashamed to be a part of the lineup of groomsmen. But he can't help but appreciate how beautiful Mikasa looked at this moment. He could sense that she was feeling uneasy. especially when she glanced at him with guilt and worry in those eyes of hers, Who wouldn't? He inhaled and exhaled, watching her stay focused on Jean when the officiant started talking. Mikasa felt Levi's cold eyes bore down on her. As if reminding her what they had done earlier.
Falco walked down the aisle, holding the pillow that held the rings. Before Mikasa knew it, she already had it on her finger at an instant. "I think you should stop teasing me like that, Mrs Kirschtein." Levi's words lingered in her head. She felt her heart pound, looking at Jean made her vision blurry.
Levi pushed her against the wall in her dressing room, lifting her up, making her yelp in surprise. She held onto him like a life-raft. her legs hugging his waist as she felt his lips make contact with her neck and his hand slowly moving down to the skirt of her gown, getting a soft whimper of pleasure coming out of her. They both knew this was wrong, this is her wedding day. But they wanted to pretend.
"If anyone knows why the couple should not be joined in matrimony, speak now or forever hold your peace." The officiant says, everyone stayed silent and not barely a single noise was heard from the guests in the crowd.
Mikasa and Levi exchanged glances, as if waiting for the other to speak up. But neither are strong enough to object. They both were cowards and now the guilt had festered within them.
"Do you, Mikasa Ackerman, take Jean Kirschtein as your lawfully wedded husband?"
Mikasa was hesitant, but she cleared her throat and mind to respond, "I do."
"What do you say to the officiant?" Levi whispered into her ear mockingly coaching her. "I do…" Mikasa whined, her fingers dove deep into the back of Levi's naked form, making him hiss as he pounded into her. "Say it again, Mrs Kirschtein." He demands, pounding into her again. "I…"
"I do." Jean says with a warm smile full of love for his bride. Mikasa forced herself to smile, showing her teeth. They both held hands as the officiant now pronounced their union.
"By the power invested in me, you may now seal your union with a kiss."
Jean excitedly lifted her veil and their faces moved closer.
Levi and Mikasa hungrily devoured each other till they were breathless. They forgot everything that happened in the world as they focused on each other's pleasure. hearing each other grunt, moan, and whimper, They caressed and cradled each other, as if this would be their final moment together alive. The last time they would ever taste each other. Mikasa realized what they were doing. Her emotions started to build up, the guilt and urgent emotions rising as she realized, this is her wedding day. "I hate you.. I hate you so much.." Mikasa sobbed, wiping her tears on Levi's bare shoulder. "No you don't." He firmly held Mikasa's hand as he thrusted into her once more, Making her grunt and moan out his name, making him go faster with his pace.
The guests cheered for the newly-wed couple. Jean was ecstatic, holding his wife's hand as he waved at his guest when they walked out of the church. Mikasa felt annoyed. She should be happy. She remembered the way Levi held her hand, she wished she was holding his hand, Not Jean's. She noticed Levi outside, leaning against a tree under the shade. his gaze bored down her soul, fiddling with his pocket-watch, throwing it up in the air and into his hand. Levi noticed he had her attention, so he gave her the closest thing he'll ever have to a smile and nodded with a grunt of approval. Mikasa exchanged the nod and locked her arms with Jean's and they entered their carriage. Levi stopped playing with his pocket-watch and walked off to where Onyankopon and the kids were.
Booze and glass shards were scattered all over the floor from their intense, desire driven intimacy. The record player was repeating the same line of the song it was playing in a broken loop.
Mikasa and Levi laid together, bare on the floor, the only thing covering them was the sheer thin fabric of the curtains. Levi hugged her gently in his arms, his hand caressed her soft skin in their peaceful silence of post-coital contempt.
"This… this will be the last time, right?"
Mikasa spoke, startling Levi a bit as he was used to the silent atmosphere.
"Hm?"
"This will be the last time we'll ever do this…" Mikasa's tone was full of guilt but at the same time, it sounded as if she wanted to make sure that Levi would never leave her. Never run away no matter what. She needed him. She craved every hour, day, and night with him. She moved her body to be closer to him until she could feel their heart beats syncing together in a perfect unison.
Levi was unsure on what to say. He remained silent for a moment to think of a response that would play it safe for them.
"I'm – I'm not sure." Was all he could say.
Mikasa smiled and let out a low chuckle, "You're a coward." She closed her eyes and drifted to sleep in his arms. Levi exhaled through his nose, keeping her close to his warmth and drifted off to sleep with her, resting his chin on her head.
"Midnight,
the stars and you…
Midnight and the rendezvous… your eyes held a tender message… saying "I surrender all my love to you…"
