Work Text:

It's Halloween in Burbank, and for the first time since anyone can remember, the Warner siblings are late for trick-or-treating.

Dot calls from outside the bathroom door: "You said you didn't need my help putting on makeup, but you've been in there for two hours! Aren't you done?"

"I think so, baby sister, I just wanted to make sure I look okay- would glitter be too much, you think?"

"Oh, Waks, there's no such thing as too much glitter. Trust me."

"Oh, that's faboo!" Wakko runs out of the bathroom at top speed, knocking over a tube of lip gloss, almost tripping over his princess skirt- "See, you are a princess," assures Dot, wearing a hand-me-down vampire costume from her big brother, "but not exactly the most graceful one."

Adjusting his wizard's hat, Yakko chuckles from the tower door, open to the crisp autumn air. "C'mon now!" he says. "If we hurry we might still be able to get the lactose-free stuff!"

"But I like lactose," Wakko mutters as he and Dot come to their brother's side.

From the height the water tower provides, the siblings can see the neighborhood just outside of the studio, lined with green and orange lights. There's still laughter and music, so that confirms they aren't too late.

"Okay, here's the plan for tonight, sibs. We gotta be quick, we gotta be strategic, and most importantly, we gotta be as annoying as possible. Lemme see your pleading eyes." Yakko gestures with his hand, and on cue, Wakko and Dot's eyes go huge and sparkly, shedding a few crocodile tears, their lips quivering sympathetically. "Perfect! That's perfect."

Wakko and Dot give each other supportive grins, their faces reverting back to normal.

"Ready? One, two, three!

And with that, on cue, the siblings burst out of the tower, laughing all the way in their silliest, spookiest voices, ready for candy and shenanigans.
