It definitely wasn't love at first sight. You'd say it was more of a "I guess I can tolerate you" at first sight but whatever. The moment your eyes locked with the pink-haired male you clicked. Not in a romantic way of course. In fact, it was everything but romantic. The glance you guys shared was a mere agreement. Nendou was a complete idiot.

You didn't expect that the glance would lead you to become friends with Saiki, and you definitely didn't expect to become friends with Nendou or Kaidou. It's not that you didn't like them or anything, or that you didn't want to be friends. It's just that, you weren't exactly the nicest person in the world. You were fairly quiet and didn’t exactly have the easiest time getting along with other people. Not to mention that you had never talked to anyone from the school before. You didn’t try particularly hard to create friendships but rather let them come to you. They usually didn’t last very long as they would find you too blunt or thought your humor was weird (you laugh when people fall down stairs.) The newfound friendship was just...unexpected.So, you join the friend group (even though you're 90% sure Saiki doesn't consider any of you his friends) and join them on their weird adventures while you maybe more than just tolerate Saiki K.

your pov:

You had been at your school assembly for less than an hour when you truly lost hope. Your feet ached, your head hurt, and you were bored. Bored out of your mind. It's not like you looked forward to going to school or anything, but you hoped it would at least be more interesting than this. At this point you would rather be dead than stand here and listen to this guy yap for any longer. Actually, scratch that, you didn't mind the sound of the principal on the podiums voice droning on anymore. To be honest, you wished he was louder! Because a few minutes earlier a tall, unique looking male pushed you aside and started talking (possibly even yelling with how loud he was) to the pink-haired male who was previously beside you.

"He passed out!"

"Low blood sugar?"

Even though it took someone collapsing, you were relieved to hear that the guy next to you finally shut up. Of course, that was when you were blessed with hearing the obnoxiously loud scream that came from beside you. You whipped your head to the right in shock but you didn't see the tall guy. Instead, you locked eyes with the pink-haired guy you were standing next to earlier. You could see it in his eyes that he felt the same way you did. You both were visibly distraught (even though he definitely hid it better than you did.) And it seemed you both had made an agreement just with that simple glance.

Nendou was a complete idiot.

You turn back to the commotion to see Nendou absolutely violating the guy on the floor. He was violently shaking him before pulling him close and attempting to give him mouth-to-mouth.

"Nendou! What do you think you're doing? Take him to the nurse" said one of the teachers.

"Uh, what? The nurse! Ok right!"

"Hey you two, why dont you go with the two of them. I don't trust Nendou to find it" that same teacher said.

It was as if the universe wanted you have a complete breakdown in front of the entire school. You put up with Nendou's loudness earlier and now you had to supervise him while he walked to the nurse?? This was something a kindergartner could do on their own. And is this really a two person job?? You didn't understand why both you AND the pink-haired guy needed to go. He and Nendou are friends right?? So you guess it made sense that he would be assigned to babysit Nendou. But you? Someone who had never talked to the male before. You thought it was total bullshit. But here you are, walking a nearly grown man to the nurses office.

The walk to the nurse was uneventful. You just trailed behind with the pink-haired guy as you watched Nendou carry the other one to the nurses office.

"Um, is he always like that?" you said referring to Nendou.

The guy next to you gave you an unimpressed look before responding with, "Sadly."

After that, you didn't talk and neither did he. But you didn't mind it and you don't think he did either.

Everyone stepped into the room before Nendou broke the comforting silence, "Huh? Is the nurse dead too? That's weird. I guess i'll have to do mouth-to-mouth on you myself."

You didn't have anything to say. You were in disbelief at how oblivious this guy was. Firstly, did he seriously just assume the nurse was dead? Was that really his first thought? Secondly, how could he not see the anger literally leaking out of the male he was holding. The male then pushed him off before rushing to the sink.

"I don't need mouth-to-mouth you stupid idiot" said the green-haired guy before he rinsed out his mouth.

You watched as they went back and forth about the whole "kissing" thing.

The green-haired male then turned around facing towards you and the quiet guy, "Hey! You guys better not tell anyone my fainting spell was a fake!"

"I-"

"I heard it all!"

You were cutoff by the gym teacher barging into the room. This caused the green-haired guy to start panicking before quickly blaming it on Nendou.

"That's not what happened sir it was his fault! He forced me to collapse so he could skip out of the principals speech! And my sickness is actually a ruse!"

"Nendou is that all true???"

You were contemplating on siding with the green-haired guy. It did get you out of the assembly after all. And you were still pretty annoyed with how loud Nendou was.

"Huh? Saiki? (Name)? What are you doing here? Takahashi are they also a part of this?"

"Who? Uh, yeah sure."

"That's it. I want you both in my office🔥!"

Once again, you were pissed. Though this time Nendou wasn't the cause of it. And to think you were actually gonna defend Takahashi? You looked over to Saiki to see that his brows were furrowed. That was probably the most emotion you've ever seen from the male! You were about to object when you were (once again) interrupted.

"Hold on a sec teach! His fainting is real!! Didn't you just hear him say it? Root sickness" said Nendou in a oddly horrific voice while pointing at Takahashi.

....

Silence. Complete silence. 'Are you kidding me' you thought to yourself. Surely no one believed that right?? Clearly Takahashi said "ruse" and he is literally standing there perfectly fine! You'd have to be as stupid as Nendou to believe that.

"Oh, that one" said the coach.

Nendou insisted on taking Takahashi's temperature. He clearly wasn't sick so when the temperature came out at 92.8 celsius you were done.

"Call an ambulance now!!!"

You were confused. Actually, you were more than confused. 92.8 celsius?? Is that even possible? Your brain felt like it was smoking as you tried to figure out what the hell was going on.

"Maybe I need an ambulance too" you muttered to yourself sarcastically.

"(Name)!! You have root sickness too!?"

"No no! Nendou i'm fine!! I dont have a fever" you said as you pressed the thermometer to yourself.

"92.8 degrees? My temperature is the same as his??"

"You DO have root sickness. Get the ambulance!"

That was the last thing you remembered before being thrown over Nendou's shoulder and carried to the ambulance.

saiki pov:

'Good grief.' To be honest, Saiki kinda felt bad for you. You had been fairly quiet and definitely weren't as idiotic as the others. Plus, it was partially his fault you were in that ambulance right now. After you and Nendou left he realized he had accidentally melted the tip of the thermometer leaving it permanently at 92.8 degrees. 'Oh well, better hide the evidence.'

"Woahh" Nendou exclaimed after seeing that the thermometer was literally on fire.

'He saw!!'

"You...have the fever too!!"

'Nendou is a moron' he thought as he was then taken out to the ambulance just like you and Takahashi.

your pov:

"Did you hear? A deadly snake escaped from the local zoo."

"There's a poisonous snake on the loose!?"

"Are you boys sure it escaped? An animal attack is just the kinda plan they'd come up with."

You payed little attention to the rumors about the snake escaping. You weren't scared of snakes and you definitely weren't worried it would somehow make its way towards your school.

"Fear not! I, the Jet-Black Wings, am never fooled by their evil deception. Someone must have set that snake free on purpose!"

"Hang on, you know the guy who did this Kaidou?"

Kaidou continued to explain how he, Jet-Black Wings, was the enemy of the Dark reunion. And how the snake incident was all a part of a scheme to sort mankind. 'Wow, he really is delusional' you thought to yourself. The group of people previously surrounding him disappeared. You almost pitied him, it didn't seem like he had many friends (not that you did either).

"Aha. Once again the fate of the world has fallen into our super-powered laps ay Saiki?"

Now that got your attention. To be completely honest, you didn't even realize that Saiki was in this class. Nor did you realize he was "friends" with Kaidou.

"I dont like this one bit. The snake, which i've named  the Murder Dragoram Snake, is likely no ordinary snake! It's also likely that Dark Reunion genetically engineered Murder Dragoram Snake specifically to kill people."

"So, this snake was made by the Dark Reunion? Seems pretty scary...are you and Saiki really gonna be able to protect us" you said in a teasing tone.

The male didn't pick up on the sarcasm and continued with his delusional rant. Saiki didn't respond. He only glanced at you before looking away in annoyance.

"Of course we will! For it is my destiny, as Jet-Black Wings, to protect the world from evil organizations like the Dark Reunion! With the help from my sidekick, we'll defeat the Dark Reunion once and for all."

You covered your mouth to hide the smirk on your lips. You couldn't help but tease him. I mean, it's not like he noticed what you were doing anyway. You might've just made his day by jokingly going along with his silly story.

"Hey good news! They caught the snake."

Kaidou froze. You weren't sure if you could hide your smile any longer. It was bad enough that his speech was interrupted, but when it was revealed that the so called "murder snake" was beaten dead by 5 year olds.. Turns out you weren't the only one who thought it was humorous, as a group of people started laughing and making fun of Kaidou.

"Go ahead and laugh, this is the calm before the storm....Dark Reunion is coming. I tried to warn you all I swear" he said as he walked out of the classroom.

"You know, I kinda feel bad for him" you said to Saiki.

"Don't. He'll be- woah, better go with him" he said before standing up and heading after Kaidou.

You raised your eyebrow in confusion. You didn't take him for the type of guy that would go comfort his friend in a bathroom. His sudden change of mind confused you too. It was as if he realized something. You decided that you didn't really care and dropped it. You put your head down and listened to the almost peaceful chatter of your peers. That is, until a snake fell out of someones sleeve causing everyone to scream. Your head jolted up and you pulled your feet off the floor. You still weren't scared of snakes. But being bit by a poisonous snake was not on your bucket list so you opted to be careful. Saiki and Kaidou sure were lucky. They left right before the snake was revealed. 'Maybe Kaidou and Saiki used their magical powers to read the future and leave before the snake was found' you joked. Little did you know you weren't completely wrong.

Your thoughts were interrupted by the sight of the snake hanging right from Nendou's crotch. That was truly unfortunate for him. The snake released and began to move around the room again.

"Everybody get down! I'll take care of this snake."

Kaidou had bursted through the doors and started to "fight" the snake. It seemed more like a distraction than a fight as he wouldn't actually touch the snake and was only doing questionable poses. You took this as an opportunity to slip out the door and leave. You weren't interested in seeing how the "fight" ended and instead decided to roam through the halls until things calmed down.

timeskip

Kaidou had somehow gotten worse. You didn't think you were gone for that long. But when you came back his ego had grown and there was now some confidence behind his words of nonsense. Apparently, the snake went to attack a girl when Kaidou blocked the attack and electrocuted the snake before it could reach them. This was just what you heard, by the time this happened you had already left the classroom. You didn't want to believe it, but it was hard not to when every student in the classroom claimed Kaidou now had powers. The only person who hadn't commented on this was Saiki. But it's not like he would know either, he wasn't even in the room after all.

your pov:

"Alright losers listen up. We're playing dodgeball!"

That was your cue to leave. You had managed to get exempt from participating in physical education while you were recovering from "root sickness." You weren't allowed to rest inside though, you had to sit outside on the bench and watch. 'Man, I really dodged a bullet by skipping today.' You weren't a big fan of sports nor did you enjoy being hit by balls. (😭😕) And after seeing how riled up the class was after Hairo's speech, you were glad to be sitting out.

"Ok Saiki, we're taking you first!"

The game had just started and your classmates had already chosen their first target. You looked up just in time to see the ball plow right into Saiki's face. You contemplated asking if he was ok, but seeing as his facial expression stayed the same, you didn't think he cared very much. Actually, you wouldn't be surprised if he took the hit on purpose. He didn't seem like the type to enjoy sports. He then turned and started to walk towards the bench.

"Hold it Saiki. Were you actually trying to get hit by that ball."

Of course Hairo would be the one to notice. You bet he could sense Saiki's lack of willpower!! Saiki nodded in response before he started to walk again.

"For real? Well...hey! Where are you going? You're not out. Face safe rule!"

His plan was ultimately ruined and he was forced to return to the field. You watched as Saiki stood still. You could tell he was thinking about something.

"Saiki!! Give it all you got" screamed Hairo.

You watched him contemplate a bit more before he stretched his arm back and threw the ball. The throw had little force behind it and was caught by Nendou. This caused Hairo to get a bit too aggressive about Saiki's throw. And of course Nendou's comment about him going easy on his friend stirred the pot. Nendou then took the ball and hit nearly every player on the opposing team, excluding Saiki and Hairo. You sighed, how ironic. Nendou once again took a ball and launched it, this time aiming for Hairo. But just before it could hit him, Saiki stood in front of him and took the hit instead. 'He really does not want to play does he?'

"Hey! Don't give up now!! Lets go" exclaimed Hairo.

Hairo miraculously caught the ball. He definitely didn't stick the landing though, cause now he was face down and revealing a little more than you'd like to see. For the second time ever (you estimated), you saw Saiki's expression change.

"Oh no! Hairos knee is busted!"

"That means Saiki's the only one left on team paper!"

Hairo looked as if he was dying. He spoke to Saiki like he had the last chance to save the world. Ultimately it was really weird, especially when the other teammates started to cry. 'Is this seriously happening' you thought to yourself. Saiki glanced over to you and then back to Hairo as if he was answering your unspoken question. People started to cheer on and encourage Saiki. In your opinion, you thought it made the situation worse for him. 'I wonder what would happen if I boo'd' you thought. 'On second thought, i'd probably be kidnapped and used as a sacrifice to bring Hairo back from the dead.' You turned your attention back to the teams, which was currently 7v1. Saiki finally decided to make a move taking the ball and throwing it. Once again, the ball had little force behind it. A member from the opposite team had caught the ball before it suddenly flew out of his hands.

"Hmph. Finally it's time to show you what I got! Do you have any idea what that means for you Saiki? It means that you're in big trouble."

You hadn't even noticed Kaidou was here this entire time. What was more surprising was that he was still in the game! Kaidou threw the ball at full force!! Maybe...full force for him anyway. This throw was worse than Saiki's previous ones. Saiki had successfully managed to catch a ball so he could get a teammate back into the game. You had now lost interest. You were only watching because it was Saiki playing alone. Now that he had a teammate, you let your thoughts drift. That is, until you heard bodies hitting the floor. You look up to see two people lying on the floor. 'Maybe I should pay more attention, that would've been funny to watch...' You looked up and saw Saiki get hit with a ball thrown by Nendou, and then caught by Hairo. 'When was he allowed back into the game?' Hairo had miraculously caught the ball, somehow falling to the floor and again leaving little to the imagination. Hairo then took the ball and hit a majority of the players on the opposite team. This left Kaidou and Nendou versus Saiki and Hairo. It took Hairo one throw the get the other two out and finally end the game. Your classmates were ecstatic and praised Saiki. That praise didn't last for very long though, as soon as Saiki was hugged by Nendou people turned their heads. 'Fair enough' you thought. Since your classmates had left, you decided to approach Saiki.

"Hey, Saiki" you said. He glanced over and turned his attention to you.

"You did good. Even if you did try to avoid participating a majority of the time."

You gave him a small smile and he simply nodded back before turning away.

saiki pov:

He nodded in response to your compliment and turned away with a small, unnoticeable blush on his cheeks.

your pov:

You were laying in your bed as your alarm blared loudly loudly. Not even awaken for a minute and you already wanted to go back to bed. You got up and sluggishly walked to your bathroom to get ready. After you were clean and dressed, you walked downstairs and walked right out the door. You decided there was no time for breakfast as you preferred to get to school at a very specific time. Not early enough where you'd be alone in the classroom, but not late to the point where you wouldn't have time to roam the halls before class. You closed to gate to your yard and as you turned around you ran right into a certain someone. You didn't physically run into him (he knew you were there) but you were now too close for your own comfort. Your eyes met before you looked away sheepishly.

"Sorry..."

He didn't respond. The silence that consumed the two of you was incredibly awkward. You were just standing there avoiding eye contact in the middle of the sidewalk!

"...Oh. Do you live around here?"

You started walking towards the school, grateful you finally found a way to break the silence. You were relieved when he started to walk with you. You were slightly afraid he would just stand there in silence and wait for you to leave.

"Yeah."

'He actually responded!!' You were honestly pretty excited to get more than a head nod out of the male. But even that was a better response than to be ignored like your fellow classmates. You once again were silent. This time, it was comforting. Much like the silence you experienced when you first met while walking Nendou to the nurse. You two continued to walk to school together in that peaceful silence.

"Hey you!!! What's up with that sloppy school uniform?!?"

Great. You weren't even inside the school yet and there was already a teacher yelling. You and Saiki both stopped walking. You weren't worried about getting called out for not following the dress-code. You glanced back at Saiki before walking into the schoolyard with Saiki following behind you. You guys eventually made it to your class sat down. No words spoken. You couldn't help but wonder if Saiki would ever actually consider you a friend. But seeing the way he ignored Nendou his "best buddy" you figured you must be doing something right.

your pov:

Sports day had finally arrived at PK Academy. Unlike last time, you didn't have any excuse to get you out of doing physical activity. You had no choice but to spend your day doing hellish activities with hellish people (teenagers).

"On your marks. Set."

And they were off? There was definitely not anythjng signaling they could go but...ok! The first event was the mens 100-meter dash. Your classmates were definitely more excited about this than you were. Soon enough the race was over and Saiki had came in third. You didn't even realize he was the one racing.

"Great job Saiki you got third!! All the other racers were on the track and field team."

You have to admit, that's pretty impressive. Saiki didn't seem very fond of this though. The second race went not as well, putting you guys in a tie for fifth place. The three legged race went well and now it was Nendous turn. Again, you could care less about if your class won or not, but it would be cool to not get last place. The race begun and Nendou easily passed the other runners, picking up a piece of paper. He then ran over to your group and grabbed the weirdly shaped hairpin Saiki always wore.

"Saiki!"

He fell? Fainted was probably a better word. He fainted, and landed face first on the ground. This caused a pretty big commotion amongst your class, a few surrounded him trying to see what was wrong. You were confused. Very very confused. Honestly, you don't know how you haven't noticed this before. Saiki was not normal. You don't know why it took a "hairpin" falling out for you to notice. But the more you thought, the more you realized. Strange things would happen around Saiki, though nothing crazy happened when you were around. Saiki had also always seemed to know what you were thinking, or what other people were thinking to be more precise. And then this, him suddenly falling over the moment his suspiciously shaped hairpin was taken out.

"You fainted when Nendou took that thing out of your head so I tried to put it back."

This fully confirmed your suspicions, but you decided you would let it go for now. The morning events were over, and you were now looking for a place to eat. Preferably away from anyone loud and obnoxious. You walked around the outside of your school, before settling on eating on the ground in the back. You walked towards your destination, failing to notice the presence of another person by your chosen spot. You had already sat down and started to unpack your stuff when you looked over and saw the person who was occupying your mind.

"Oh sorry, I didn't realize you were in here. Are you ok? Am I ok to be right here?"

He nodded in response to your first question but seemed to question what you meant by your second. You knew it would be useless trying to hide your suspicions if he really could read your mind, but it was worth trying to keep it a secret.

"I uh, assumed you'd want to be left alone after fainting you know?"

You thought your lie was pretty solid, but he seemed to be weary of you. You glanced over to him and saw his shaky hands struggling with his chopsticks. You realized it was probably weird of you to watch him eat and looked away. There was a loud snap from where he sat. You looked over and saw his chopsticks snapped in two. His eyes briefly locked with yours before he looked back at his food again. He almost looked embarrassed. You reached down into your lunch and turned over to where he was sitting.

"You can use mine if you want. I haven't used them yet, see?"

You held out your chopsticks in a plastic case, wanting to prove that they were clean. He only shook his head in response.

"I don't want to break them."

Though his verbal response caught you off guard, you needed to keep your cool. This was your chance to see what he could do.

"Break them? They're metal. I'm sure they'll be fine."

You smiled at him. You couldn't tell if he knew what you were doing or not, but he was cornered. His excuse of not wanting to break them was now invalid, but but by accepting them there would be a chance of them breaking if he did have some sort of weird power thing going on. He reached out to finally grab them when the bell rang, signaling it was time to return. You sighed in defeat before packing up and leaving the spot, offering a small wave and smile to Saiki as you left.

saiki pov:

He scrutinized your actions as you walked out the door. He wasn't able to read your thoughts when you first walked over, as his mind was too jumbled from the earlier incident. So he missed your "i'm suspicious of you" rant. What he didn't miss was, your thoughts while trying to give him your chopsticks. If he was anyone else, he would've thought you were clever for your trick. But seeing as he was not normal, he knew you were trying to prove something. The only problem was he wasn't sure what. He was unable to tell if you suspected what he hoped you didn't.

'Good grief.'

He stood up, preparing to teleport away from the school when he was interrupted. It was Nendou. He tried to teleport away quickly, but his powers were still unstable.

"Hey you alright? Maybe you should go home early."

While he had hoped to leave, his class had been a bit too enthusiastic about it. He would've felt bad if he left, leaving him with the option of continuing to participate.

your pov:

It was now time for the tug of war event. Which you, of course, were not participating in!! You watched a majority of the boys in your class start to pull on the rope. You had no interest in them, and kept your eyes on Saiki. You watched closely, making sure you would catch anything unusual that happened. The rope snapped. You had only seen it for a second, but the part of the rope between the two of Saikis hands had snapped. There was no fraying, so you knew this wasn't from it being worn down. That rope has snapped in two, because of Saiki. You continued to watch his hands closely. You probably looked like a total weirdo, but it's for a good cause (debatable). He pulled one of his hands closer to him and the other team went flying. You were shocked to say the least. Partially because you now confirmed Saiki's unusual strength, partially because you can't believe nobody else had noticed!

Class 3 had been getting more and more obnoxious as time went on. Their team encouragement had gone from nice phrases to getting buzzcuts? It was kinda funny, you couldn't imagine Saiki with a buzzcut. Seemed like he wasn't too fond of the idea either. The beanbag toss was next and sadly, you had to take part in this one. But that didn't mean you were gonna try very hard, your attention was still going to be on Saiki. The game started and your helping efforts were picking up any beanbags close to you and throwing them closer to your other teammates. You finally decided to throw one towards your basket when you saw a large clump of beanbags enter the basket over and over again. It was like something was pulling them in like a magnet. You looked over at Saiki and watched as his eyes moved slightly around the same time the bags would clump together. Though your technically couldn't prove any of this was him, you were sure of it. Your class had lost to another team, who you thought was cheating but technically so was yours so you couldn't say much. The final event was the relay race. Saiki, would be the last runner. Your start was slow, but your class quickly took first place. Saiki hadn't been particularly suspicious with his running, but you still continued to watch him. He was only a few feet from the finish line when he fell face first. Again. And with that, the sports festival was over, and you were now determined to become closer to Saiki.

your pov:

You were walking around with Nendou, Kaidou, and surprisingly, Saiki. You weren't sure how he got dragged into going with them, but you had previously said yes to hanging out with them to get Nendou to leave you alone. Turns out he didn't forget that and it came back to bite you in the ass. While you didn't mind their company occasionally, it got a bit overwhelming after a while. But this was a chance to get closer to Saiki and learn more about him. Your goal to become closer wasn't only driven by your curiosity towards Saiki and his possible powers. You also genuinely liked him, and wouldn't mind becoming his friend.

"Oh! Fancy meeting you here Saiki."

"Oh wow!"

The two next to you seemed excited upon hearing this voice, seeing as they audibly spoke when they noticed her. You looked towards the voice and saw a girl from your class. It was Teruhashi? Why was she talking to you guys? You may not be interested in Teruhashi, but there were many others who were and you were painfully aware of that. I mean the girl was practically glowing?? It truly was surprising to see her talking to you guys. Or, more like, talking to Saiki.

"What are you guys up to today?"

"Well Nendou said he knew of a good ramen shop so he's taking us there now!"

"Yeah!! We're gonna pig out- I mean, eat like gentlemen."

Oh!! Ramen sounds good! Do you guys mind if I invite myself to tag along with you? Oops! I hope i'm not being overly pushy."

While you had no problem with Teruhashi, or her coming along, you did not enjoy the attention brought to your group as soon as she started talking to you guys. You weren't blaming Teruhashi for this, but it did cause there to be an overwhelming amount of attention on you guys. As you continued to walk towards the ramen shop, people continued to admire the girl. Kaidou, Nendou, and Teruhashi were now walking together, leaving you and Saiki slightly behind. He looked lost in thought, so you didn't say anything. It was weird, you could speak to other people completely fine. Sure, you didn't speak a lot but it was still possible. With Saiki, you felt as if you couldn't speak at all. What was the cause of this? You, of course, didn't know. So you were going to blame it on the fact that you were 50% sure he had super strength and that he was just slightly intimidating.

"We've arrived, there's the ramen shop."

Nendou pointed at a small, rundown, and mildly concerning ramen shop. For a split second, you could see Teruhashi's face drop. Understandably, she didn't look too pleased at the idea of eating there. You didn't either, the place quite literally looked like it was a safety violation.

"Are you out of your mind man?? She's got class there's know way she's gonna eat at a place like that? You don't really wanna eat in this rundown rathole do you Teruhashi?"

"...I'm ok....with this place."

"Are we eating here or going somewhere else? Cause if i'm being honest, it doesn't look very promising."

This was the first time you've spoken up since Teruhashi had joined you guys. It was also the first time Teruhashi actually acknowledged that you were there. This comment earned you a questionable stare from Teruhashi and a glare from Kaidou and Nendou. At this point you didn't care, just wanting to get the hangout over with. You entered the restaurant and sat down at a small table.

"Yo Mr. Manager!! Five bowls of ramen please!"

You glanced over at Teruhashi, who was getting more nervous by the second. She really did not want to eat here did she? You'd say you felt bad, but she did choose to follow a plan made by Nendou. The ramen came and it looked...less than appetizing.

"So, no one actually wants to eat this right? Like-"

You were cutoff by the sound of eating. Teruhashi was actually eating the noodles. Your jaw dropped, you didn't expect anyone to eat it, especially not her. In the end, you guys ended up leaving the ramen shop. Your "fun outing" was just as enjoyable as you expected (you hated every second of it). It was finally time for you guys to split ways, except for you and Saiki. The other three had gone their separate ways, leaving you two. You spoke up.

"If you aren't going anywhere else, we should walk together. If you want to, of course."

"Ok."

You smiled to yourself, happy to finally have some peace. Not only that, you also had a chance to converse with the unusual male next to you.

"That was definitely quite the hangout!! I'm surprised Teruhashi lasted that long. It looked like she wanted to die the second she saw the ramen shop."

He nodded in response.

"Truthfully, I think my favorite part was walking home with you. As embarrassing as it sounds. It's hard to handle so many outgoing people at once y'know?"

"Yeah, it is."

You smiled again, happy to get another verbal response out of him. As much as you wanted to keep yourself on Saiki's good side, you wanted to test his "powers" even more. You knew he was strong, so it was time to see if your mind reading theory was true.  The main problem was that Saiki had a great poker face. He wasn't an easy person to read. Meaning you would either have to say something absolutely insane, or find a way to bluntly bring up the mind reading thing while still being able to disguise it as a joke.

"Hey Saiki, do you believe in magical powers?"

"No."

"Really?? Not even enhanced strength or mind reading?"

"..."

He raised an eyebrow at your question, looking at you quizzingly. You couldn't help yourself from grinning. Were you being a little too obvious with your question? Probably. Considering that Saiki didn't respond to your second question, you chose not to push the topic any further. Ultimately, if you did end up making the male dislike you, you likely would never find the answer to your accusations. Soon enough you arrived at your houses.

"Thanks for walking with me. I enjoyed it after being dragged along to that hangout."

He nodded in response. Assuming that was as he had to say, you walked towards your door to head inside. Turning back, you were surprised to see that Saiki was looking at you. You both froze, shocked you had both been caught staring. You smiled again, turning to walk inside.

"(Name)."

You looked at him again, trying to ignore the fact that he totally just called you by your name for the first time. He was partially inside of his home. You both stared at each other silently. It seems you both were aware he was unsure of what he was doing.

"Let's do that again."

your pov:

It was New Year's Day and you were currently sitting alone in your house. You didn't mind staying inside for the holiday, but you definitely wouldn't mind getting out of the house either. Finally, you got yourself dressed and decided to go get some food. You put on your coat and stepped outside. You weren't a big fan of the cold and immediately regretted not dressing warmer.

"Oh (Name)! Why don't you come inside and celebrate with us?"

You looked up a saw Saiki, Kaidou, Nendou, Hairo, Teruhashi, and Saiki's parents. His mother was the one who had invited you inside. You've interacted with Saiki's parents a few times since moving in.

They've invited you over a few times before but you felt it would've been awkward to accept. Hanging out with your friend's parents was already weird enough but then you barely even knew Saiki. This time however, you wanted to say yes. Spending time with your neighbors and classmates, although they are annoying, was much better than spending your day alone. You looked towards Saiki for approval. Knowing him, he was probably already annoyed at the fact so many people were going. He seemed to understand what you meant (maybe cause he can read minds not sure though) and gave you a nod.

"Alright. Thank you for inviting me."

You smiled and walked out of your yard and towards their house. You were surprised to see your classmates together. 'I wonder how that happened...'

you thought. Soon enough, everyone was in Saiki's living room sat at a kotatsu table and eating. His mom had offered you a spot at the table, but you declined claiming "It's alright! I'm warm enough." You weren't warm at all. But you would rather be cold than be squished between that many people. So, you sat off to the side, still enjoying his mother's cooking. You were still interacting with the group and listening to Saiki's parents tell stories. Unlike a certain someone, who was sitting on a stool away from the rest of you.

"This food is amazing! Would you please teach me how to make it sometime?"

"Ooh I'd love to!"

"You're gonna make a great wife Teruhashi."

"That's so sweet, thank you!"

Personally, you thought that was a weird thing to say to a teenage girl. But she didn't seem to mind. Looking to your side you saw Saiki. Your eyes following him as he stood up and walked towards the exit of the room.

"No, thank you, all of you, for being friends with Ku!"

"You don't have to thank us for being his friends! We're here because we wanna be!"

"That's right, your sincere. I'm just so grateful for you."

You were sure no one else noticed, but since you were looking at him, you did. Saiki froze up at the comment.  He stopped walking and stood at the doorway.

"My Ku's always had a really hard time making friends, well with him being a psychic and all."

"..."

You were shocked. Partially because your speculations were correct, partially because his mom had spilt that information so easily! The room was eerily quiet, everyone looking at Saiki's mother in disbelief and confusion. You, however, were looking right at Saiki. You all sat in an uncomfortable silence, until Saiki's dad spoke up.

"Um, you might have said too much."

"What?" ⸜( ^ ᵕ ^ )⸝

This was awkward. Really awkward. Your four classmates were utterly confused. You can't blame them though. If you hadn't already suspected it you would probably be the same.

"What do you means he's a...psychic?"

"Honey, you should say something."

"Oh dear!"

"..."

"Hey, you know, that one manga logo? The pirate face on Shonen Jump."

"Yeah, kinda, sure...?"

"Get this, if you turn it 90 degrees it looks like the profile of a little girls face and uh I just thought i'd point that out."

You physically cringed at his attempt at changing the subject. He was so unconfident in his statement you could tell he was desperately trying to cover up his wife's slip up. There was that awkward silence, again. At this point you were considering excusing yourself to the restroom to avoid the secondhand embarrassment.

"Huh! Hey he's right it really does!! Guys look!!"

"I see it!"

Everyone started to discuss the logo. You let out a breath you didn't even know you were holding. That conversation was way too tense for your liking. For once, Nendou had actually helped you.

"So, my buddy's a psychic?"

"Did you know a female sunfish lays up to 300 million eggs for each spawn."

Or not. The situation just kept getting worse, especially for Saiki. You honestly hoped everyone would assume it was a joke. As stupid as it sounds, you wanted to be the person Saiki revealed his powers to. Call it jealousy if you'd like, but you spent way to much time thinking about this for someone else to find out first. Suddenly, a glass of water, a still glass of water might I add, was knocked over.

"Ah! Sorry! I must've bumped into it!"

"Are you ok!"

If Saiki's mom hadn't confirmed it enough for you, that definitely did. Though, you wished we would've done that earlier, rather than letting that agonizing attempt at changing the subject go on. After cleaning up the mess, it was time for everyone to leave. You, Kaidou, Teruhashi, Hairo, and Nendou stood outside of the house.

"Well! Thanks for the dinner!"

"We're forever in your debt. Th-thanks!"

"You kids drop by anytime, ok?"

You waved goodbye to your neighbors, and then to your classmates. You were glad you lived right next to Saiki, you don't know how much more chaos you could stand today. You were now inside and upstairs. Looking out your window you watched as your classmates walked down the street and sighed in relief, happy to finally be home.

"!!"

Well, that relief didn't last long. We're you seeing things? Or did you just see Saiki appear behind your classmates out of thin air. You hadn't considered that he might have more powers than you thought. Quickly, you put your shoes and coat back on, and headed out to follow Saiki. You ran towards the street where you saw him heading. You knew concealing yourself was useless, but you didn't want to just follow him. Even if that was what you were doing. By the time you got outside, you had already lost him. As much as you didn't want to give up, you weren't fond of the idea of getting lost on a cold winter night. Dejectedly, you walked towards your bed and removed your scarf as well as your coat. Then, you headed to your wardrobe to pick out something to sleep in. You changed into your clothes before falling back onto your bed and closing your eyes. That comfort only lasted a second as you quickly became uncomfortable. You sighed and reached under your back to find that you were lying on your scarf. You dropped it onto the ground and watched it disappear into thin air.

saiki pov:

Saiki was now down to his last target. He had finally caught up to his classmates and successfully altered their memories. There was a slight problem though. Saiki needed to come in contact with you. He was sure you were in your house, but it was likely you weren't asleep yet. He knew this because the occasional times he could hear your unusually quiet thoughts, was at night. This meant he couldn't just teleport in, alter the memory, and then teleport out. Not that he wanted to do that anyway. You were one of the only people decent enough to respect his wishes, so it only seemed fair he did the same to you. He assumed you wouldn't want him barging into your room. So, he made a different plan. He would trade your scarf for something of equal value, then knock on your door as if you'd left the scarf at his house and his mom told him to return it. He felt bad for deceiving you, but not bad enough to risk you knowing his secret. He will admit, if anyone were to know his secret, he would prefer it to be you.

He knocked on your door and waited, wanting to get this done as soon as possible. He heard a faint voice and soon you were downstairs opening the door.

"Saiki? What are you doing here?"

"Your scarf."

"Oh! I must've left it at your house, sorry for the trouble. But thanks for returning it."

He nodded and watched you turn around and as you closed your door, he altered your memory.

your pov:

New Year's had passed by quickly and your break was over. Currently, you were walking to school with Kaidou. You happened to run into him on your way to school and when he started a conversation you knew you couldn't just walk away. The calm walk to school was a pleasant surprise. Kaidou was of the more bearable people of your class, but he could still be a bit much. While walking through the school's gate, Kaidou spotted a certain friend of yours. He ran towards Saiki and motioned for you to come along.

"Hey Saiki! Back to spending our days at this boring school again....?"

Saiki hadn't even spared Kaidou a glance, and continued walking towards the entrance. This wasn't completely out of character for Saiki, but it felt different than it usually would. You couldn't help but wonder if something was bothering him. You caught up to Kaidou and gave him a questioning look.

"That was a bit unusual, don't you think?"

"Well...he's probably still embarrassed about how awkwardly dinner ended at his house. His mom did completely embarrass him."

"Really? I wouldn't really call it embarrassing. I'd say weird was a better word for it."

"You mean you wouldn't be embarrassed if your mom told your friends you fantasized about being a hero?"

"Oh...I guess I would be."

That definitely was not what his mom said. Or at least that's not what you remembered. You were certain his mom had revealed him being a psychic. Thinking back to last night, you recalled Saiki using his powers. You witnessed Saiki using teleportation and telekinesis, twos powers you originally didn't think he had. Could this mean he could erase memories? Considering Kaidou still remembered having an awkward conversation that couldn't be right. Could he alter memories then? The more you thought the less you understood. Your thoughts were interrupted when Kaidou grabbed onto your wrist and followed after Saiki.

"Saiki! This is our friendship sign, cool? Never forget it."

This time Saiki actually turned to look at Kaidou and you. Kaidou was holding up a knockoff gang sign and you were trying your best to not laugh at him. He then turned away and continued walking into school. You, still confused by earlier events, decided to go and see if other people remembered the dinner the same as you did. You approached Teruhashi, who was watching Saiki as he walked away. You always felt unnerved talking to her, but you didn't dislike her. Whenever you were around her, you felt like you were being watched, which made conversations uncomfortable. But you were willing to sacrifice a bit of your pride to find out what was going on. You waited till Saiki turned the corner to ask a question. A very vague question.

"Hey Teruhashi, I can't help but feel a bit bad for Saiki. Y'know, after what his mom said."

"Ah, (Name)! I feel the same way. Who would've thought the reason Saiki was so closed off and quiet was because he had trust issues!"

"Yeah...anyway, i'll see you in class."

She was way too enthusiastic about him supposedly having trust issues. This was enough to confirm your suspicion though. So far, the two people you talked to both remembered the dinner mostly the same. The only thing that was changing in your memories was what Saiki's mom said to embarrass him. You left Teruhashi and went to search for another person. You needed to confirm no one remembered the same thing, and find out what made them remember it the way they did. You had a slight suspicion it depended on the person's personality and the way they viewed Saiki. This lead you to start looking for Hairo. If your theory was correct, he would likely remember the event as something competitive or sports related. Finding Hairo didn't take long, and you quickly approached him to ask your question.

"Hairo, have you seen Saiki? I wanted to see how he felt after last night. What his mom said must've brought back some memories."

"(Name)! I just saw him walking towards the classroom! I tried to talk to him but he ignored me. But it seems he has a soft spot for you! So you might have better luck. I can't blame him for being cold though, if I was the captain of a tennis team and had to watch all my members quit i'd be pretty devastated too. That's why we must be good friends for Saiki!"

"That must've been pretty hard for him. Thanks Hairo."

You were right. Kaidou and Hairo both remembered something personalized, almost like they made it up themselves. You weren't sure why Teruhashi believed he had trust issues but whatever. This explains why you remembered his mom saying he was a psychic. You had already had suspicions he had some sort of power. So if your memory was altered, and replaced with an event that your mind thought would happen to Saiki, nothing would have changed. This leads you to believe conversation Kaidou, Teruhashi, and Hairo remembered were all made up from their thoughts. It wouldn't make sense for him to go through all the trouble of "altering" memories and still letting you believe that. This means Saiki can't alter memories, but he can erase them.  You exhaled, it was so early in the morning and your mind was already exhausted. Though, you can't say it wasn't worth it. You completely confirmed that Saiki had powers, more specifically, psychic ones.

your pov:

Lately school has been very uneventful. Exams had kept you occupied, leaving very little time for you to investigate your friend's powers. Now that exams were over, it was finally time for the only school related event that you enjoyed, class trips.

"What are we gonna do sir?"

"This certainly doesn't look good."

"Due to a typhoon, the 10 o'clock flight to Okinawa has been temporarily suspended."

You were heavily looking forward to going on this trip but apparently God doesn't favor you as much and Teruhashi. You sighed and slouched in your chair. You'd be lying if you said you weren't upset about the trip being delayed, especially after spending so long preparing for it. At least there was a possibility for the trip to be rescheduled.

"Sir, if the flights canceled will the school trip be postponed?"

"No! It'll be canceled."

...

Every one around you started to crumble to the floor. Even your teacher was bummed about the trip's cancellation. Even Hairo's encouragement wasn't enough to lift their spirits.

"Hey! The flight's back on!"

"The typhoon just disappeared!"

"Okinawa here we come!"

You weren't completely surprised that the typhoon magically disappeared. At this point you were open to expect just about anything. However, this instance you didn't have the chance to see exactly what happened. So you couldn't be completely sure the mysterious disappearance of the typhoon was Saiki, but you wouldn't doubt it either.

"Oh hey Saiki, where have you been?"

You turned your attention away from the rest of your class and followed where Kaidou was looking. There stood a very wet Saiki. There was no way Saiki (who definitely does have powers) had disappeared and coincidentally came back, soaking wet, right after the typhoon had vanished. Technically, this doesn't prove anything, but it does fuel your suspicions. The flight was back on and your class boarded quickly. The cancellation and return of the trip has seemed to make everyone even more excited. You weren't familiar with the two people you'd been paired with, but they were nice enough. At least you were lucky enough to be sat in front of Saiki, Kaidou, and Nendou, who you considered friends.

"Woah we're in the sky! Hey! How do I open the window."

Maybe this wasn't very lucky. You peeked behind you and saw Nendou prying at the window of the plane. You looked to the left and saw Kaidou looking like he was about to puke. You quickly turned away and put your headphones in. You would not be able to handle hearing Kaidou throw up once, let alone be sick for two and a half hours. You leaned your head against the window and considered dozing off, there was still a few hours till you would land after all. You closed your eyes and drifted to sleep.

saiki pov:

"Oh my! Sir, are you alright!?"

'Seriously, what now?' Saiki thought to himself. At this point it was like the trip was destined to be cancelled.

"We've got a passenger in distress here."

"My stomach is killing me!"

"Hey, you ok Takahashi?"

'Oh, it's just Takahashi. Well then, goodnight.' Saiki closed his eyes and rested his head on his hand. Unfortunately the commotion didn't stop.

"If we act now we can land at Fukuoka!"

Saiki's eyes shot open at this.

'Like hell we are, we've come too far. One way or another we're making it to Okinawa. Rewind!'

"Oh. The pain's gone?"

The rewind was only temporary, but when it came back they would at least be at their destination.

'I had to use my powers yet again, now I really need a nap.'

'Breaking news! A plane carrying students on a school trip had to make an emergency water landing. The downed aircraft is flight ASO-815'

Now this was getting ridiculous. This trip really was destined to fail. Saiki stood up quickly, he needed to find out what was wrong with the plane.

your pov:

You awoke to the sound of screams coming from your classmates. The plane had suddenly started violently shaking.

"What's wrong" Kaidou shouted.

As soon as it started, the turbulence had stopped. You looked at the seats behind you where Saiki should have been sitting, but found he was gone. You were not awake enough for this to be happening. Luckily, your destination was just ahead and the plane started to descend. Finally. You quickly grabbed your carry-on and left the plane. Now that the hellish flight was over. Your school trip could begin.

your pov:

Your school trip had finally began! You had managed to get a seat on the bus next to Saiki. Unfortunately, he took the window seat. Kaidou and Nendou were sitting in front of you. Well, Kaidou was sitting. Nendou was standing and leaning up against the window. It's a miracle he hasn't fallen yet. You were leaning forward slightly, looking past Saiki and out the window. You were really looking forward to going to the beach, and the view of the water made you smile slightly. It seemed Saiki had noticed your interest of the view. He quickly stood up and walked into the isle of the bus but didn't move. You looked over to him questioning his actions.

"Move over."

You were shocked, but quickly scooted yourself over into the window seat. He sat back down next to you and continued to stare straight forward. You weren't sure if you were more surprised that he offered you his seat or that he spoke. Nonetheless, you were grateful for it. You returned your focus to the view beside you. Now that you were here, you were a lot more excited than you thought you'd be. You smiled to yourself imagining what you'd see in the next three days. You turned to Saiki only to find him already staring at you. His eyes widened slightly, so slightly you'd miss it if you weren't staring directly into them. He calmly turned his head to face forward again. You continued to stare at him, analyzing his face, until he turned his head back to you.

"Thank you" you said with a soft smile.

The expression on his face was completely unreadable. The normal, stern look on his face had faltered. His expression was softer and his eyes bore into yours. This was the first time you had ever felt overwhelmed by his presence. You turned back to the window and tried focusing on anything other than him. The newfound feeling you felt while the two of you stared at each other was not normal. The last thing you wanted was to be stressed out on this trip, let alone stressed about on of your friends. You weren't oblivious or blind, you were very aware of what might be happening. But as of now, your focus was on the school trip, not your obsession turned "itsy bitsy tiny little possible crush" you may or may not have on your friend. You ended up spending the rest of the ride staring out the window, trying to calm your nerves.

"Alright everybody, time for lunch."

You sat between Saiki and Chiyo at a soba restaurant. You tried to sit near the wall and away from Saiki so you could calm your nerves. Somehow, you managed to sit yourself right next to him. You weren't gonna act all weird around him or make your friendship uncomfortable, but you would've liked to be able to calm down for a while longer. The soba was good but it was ruined by Kaidou constantly using random dialect phrases. Apparently while you were in the bus Teruhashi praised his knowledge and now he won't stop.

After eating your classmates started to disperse and split off into their own groups. You looked around but saw no sign of the two people you were paired with. Teruhashi, Chiyo, Mera, Nendou, Kaidou, and Saiki had already walked off to wander around the city. You knew you were complaining about wanting to have more time to calm down earlier but being left alone in an unfamiliar city was not what you wanted. The being alone part wasn't what bothered you, it was that you literally had no clue where you were. You decided your best bet was to head to the hotel you knew you were staying at and just look at things along the way. The hotel was relatively close and you were sort of glad you ended up walking alone. The temporary peace was a nice change and it did end up making you calmer. Soon, the rest of your classmates arrived to the hotel.

"Dinner is at six o'clock in the first-floor dining hall. Each class has 20 minutes to take a batt. After that we'll have free time but you're not to leave the hotel."

You were the first one in your shared room so you weren't sure who you shared it with. Honestly you didn't care about who you shares it with as long as they weren't going to wake you up while you were asleep. You headed down to the dining hall and sat at a random table. You ate your food while watching your classmates mess around on stage. You hadn't realized that you had basically been alone since you got to Okinawa, nor did you care. You also failed to realize the fact that a certain pink-haired friend of yours had been glancing in your direction throughout dinner. As soon as you finished dinner you left towards the baths. You wanted to make sure you were the only person in there, as you heard a few people planned on peeking into the girls area. You obviously wanted nothing to do with that, so you made sure no one was in either baths while you bathed.

After bathing, and redressing yourself, you immediately head to leave the hotel. You were very aware of the rule that confined you in the hotel, clearly, you didn't care. No one was downstairs at this time so slipping outside was easy. You walked towards the shore where the hotel was placed behind. When you reached the sand you slipped off your shoes and sank your feet into the slightly warm sand. Earlier was enough to calm your nerves but this really put you at peace. A shame you couldn't get in the water, you didn't want to risk getting wet and being caught. So, you settled for sitting at one of the beach chairs that was facing the ocean. You watched as the waves crashed over the shore and the tide close the distance between you and the water. Your restraint was diminished and you finally decided putting your feet in the water for a couple of minutes wouldn't hurt. You swung your legs over so you were sitting sideways in the beach chair and prepared to stand up. Until you saw someone, quite literally, appear out of thin air, right in front of you.

your pov:

All you could do was stare in shock at the person who appeared before you. You knew Saiki had powers, you suspected it for a while now, but you had never been able to confirm it as much as you can now. All he did was stare down at you. The both of you were shocked, it was clear neither of you expected this to happen. After a few second of silence, your shock wore off and reality set in. You shot up out of the chair, now face to face with him.

"I knew it!" you exclaimed.

His face contorted into one of confusion, guess you weren't as obvious as you thought. You backed away from him and sat back down on the chair, patting the space next to you. He hesitated, but listened to your request. You now sat shoulder to shoulder in silence.

"You knew it?"

He spoke. He sounded concerned and slightly annoyed. You realize now you probably shouldn't have said that, but it's far too late to change it.

"If i'm being honest, i've been suspicious of you for a while now. Weird things happen when you're around and if you pay enough attention, it's not hard to realize a lot of the things are because of you. Sometimes I think everyone else must be blind with the stuff they ignore."

He let out a breath, you couldn't tell if it was out of relief or if you had almost made him laugh. You could tell it wasn't negative though.

"They're all idiots. What have you seen?"

"Well, i first realized something when you fainted when your hairpin was pulled out during sports day. You also split the rope in two during tug of war and sent the other team flying when you pulled your hand forward. Also, on New Year's eve your mom completely exposed you, and the still glass of water that suddenly tipped over when people questioned it. After that I watched my scarf disappear into thin air and then get returned by you. Oh! And the fact that no one else remembers the whole psychic thing from New Year's eve. You also suddenly appeared wet after the typhoon magically vanished. Um...I think that's it. It's not hard to notice if you pay attention."

"You've known for that long and haven't said anything?"

"I assumed you knew. I mean I did ask you, out of nowhere might i add, if you believed is magical powers. I wasn't planning on being cautious until after the whole memory changing thing..."

"I won't alter your memory."

You turned to him and smiled. You were glad he trusted you enough to keep such a big secret. Saiki was the first friend you made a this school, and you were probably a little too happy that he trusted you.

"So you're a psychic right, what other powers do you have!? At first I thought you only had one or two, but at this point you could have hundreds!"

saiki pov:

This was the most energetic Saiki had ever seen you. It was almost...endearing. He never would've thought he'd be ok with someone knowing about his powers, let alone being excited about it. But something about your interest, your excitement that he's never seen before, it made him feel like he had someone he could trust. It's been months since you witnessed his powers, and you hadn't told anyone. Hell, he didn't even know for sure if you knew. It was refreshing, and he decided that letting you know wasn't a bad thing.

your pov:

You decided to ask more specific questions, that way he wouldn't have to explain everything to you, only the stuff you specifically asked about.

"Can you read minds?"

"I can."

"Can you read mine?"

You really hoped he couldn't. You thought you might be immune to it somehow, seeing as he didn't realize you knew about his powers. Also, him hearing whatever was going on with your little breakdown earlier would end you.

"Sometimes. I don't know why, but a few of my powers only work on you sometimes."

"Oh, that must be pretty weird right? To suddenly have your powers not work on someone?"

"My telepathy doesn't work on Nendou at all. I can only hear your thoughts randomly, and I usually can't communicate with you unless I speak out loud."

"Hm. So i'm clumped in with Nendou."

"He's just stupid."

"Is there any way for you to turn the powers off? Or are you constantly stuck with them?"

You felt bad for asking so many questions, but as far as you could tell he didn't mind yet. Saiki reached into the pocket of his shorts and pulled out a silver ring with a blue stone.

"The ring. It's made of germanium. If I wear it, it stops my telepathy."

You thought to yourself for a second. Maybe, the reason he couldn't read your thoughts was similar. You weren't a huge jewelry fan, but you were almost always wearing a necklace. This necklace was also silver, and also had a similar blue stone in the center. You pulled the necklace out from under your shirt collar and showed it to him.

"Do you think it's cause of this?"

He reached over and grabbed the pendant on the necklace.

"Will you take it off?"

You nodded and flipped the necklace around, unclasping it and placing it on the beach chair.

'Can you hear me?'

"Holy shit!"

It was like he was in your head. It kinda creeped you out. This was the first time he'd talked to you like this.

'So can you read my thoughts now? I can hear you talking to me, it's weird.'

'I can.'

You grabbed the necklace and put it back around your neck. You definitely preferred to talk to him directly than through your thoughts.

"Do you think if you wore the ring and I wore the necklace, it would stop more than just telepathy?"

He stared down at the ring quietly. You watched him stare at the ring, at you, and then back at the ring before putting it on. He couldn't hear your thoughts, or talk to you through telepathy, but he had already known that. You watched him stare at the ring and then look up at you. He looked shocked, his cheeks were tinted a pale pink and his eyes were widened. You weren't sure what had changed, but it was clear he was seeing something different.

"Are you ok? Has anything changed?"

"I can see you."

"Could you not before?"

"I don't see people normally. When I look at someone, I only see them normally for a second. Then I see past their clothing, then their muscle tissue, then I can only see their bones. The cycle repeats if I look away or blink."

"You've seen me nude!?"

"No. You're the only person this doesn't apply to, probably another thing the necklace blocks. I've only ever seen you as a skeleton."

"I can tell if being seen nude or being seen as only a skeleton is worse. So you've really never seen me until now?"

"I haven't. It's...nice to see you."

your pov:

Once again you were stunned. His words were a complete shock to you. You've barely even heard him talk, let alone give pleasantries. Obviously it wasn't unwanted, just unexpected. If you didn't know any better you would think he was flirting with you. Fortunately, you aren't blind, and are fairly positive he was not complementing your looks. You completely abandoned the idea of going into the water and instead sat back into the chair. You stared at the chair next to you and then back at Saiki, he said nothing but sat down on the chair beside yours.

"Why are you out here?"

You didn't expect him to be the first one to talk. But it was nice knowing he was willingly starting a conversation with you.

"I like the ocean."

You smiled to yourself and stared at the water. The view of the stars shining over the ocean made sneaking out fully worth it. Plus, you got to talk to Saiki. The cool ocean breeze wrapped around you, and the waves crashed onto the shore. You looked towards Saiki, and unexpectedly, his eyes were closed. His face was relaxed and peaceful, much like scenery around you. Everything was peaceful, perfect. You couldn't help but become tired, the exhaustion of the day was taking over you. You closed your eyes, listening to the sound of the waves as you started to doze off.

"Seriously, where could Saiki have gone? And why am I the most perfect and pretty girl wandering around searching for...oh! Saiki!"

So much for peace and quiet. Teruhashi somehow managed to completely ignore your presence, even though you were sitting directly next to Saiki. You watched as she leaned over Saiki. The girl didn't even spare you a single glance, nothing unusual for her but still. Suddenly, she jumped back and screamed.

"Wait! What was I just about to do! How could I, the world's most perfect pretty girl do the kinda thing a creepy, gross, and popular guy would do to a girl like me!?"

She stops again and leans in, reaching towards the hair-clip in Saiki's hair. You grab her wrist before she can get a grip on the clip.

"What are you doing?"

"(Name)! I-I was just...never mind that! What are you doing? With him!?"

She reached towards the clip again, trying to fight against your grip on her arm. Despite your efforts, she manages to take hold of the hair-clip. In the blink of an eye Saiki's clip was lost in a forest, along with you and Teruhashi. You and Teruhashi were now alone, in the forest, in the middle of the night. How perfect. Teruhashi quickly grabbed onto your arm, clearly alarmed. You didn't resist, at least you knew what caused you to be teleported. That poor girl got thrown in blindly. There was a rustle in the bushes beside you. You grabbed onto Teruhashi and stepped away from the noise. Approaching from the darkness was a ginormous, terrifying bear. You were now equally as scared as Teruhashi. The bear stepped forward and growled. You and Teruhashi fell to the floor in fear, dragging you down with her. You prepared and stand up and run, but by the time you looked up the bear was gone. The monster being replaced by Saiki, standing strangely worried in front of you.

"Saiki!?"

Shit. Teruhashi had seen Saiki teleport here, unless he had an amazing backup plan, it seemed Teruhashi might have to learn the truth.

"Is this...a dream?"

Before you know it Teruhashi has clinged onto Saiki's arm, fully convinced she was dreaming. Teruhashi's "dreams" must not concern you, cause she forgot you were there the moment Saiki arrived.

"What do we do" you whispered to Saiki.

He stared at you shaking his head, then pointing to his missing hair-clip. Teruhashi's clinginess clearly bothered Saiki. What you didn't expect was for it to bother you so much. You didn't hold any hostility towards the girl herself, more the fact the she was all over Saiki. You weren't the kind of person who would start drama over something as simple as that, so you asked Saiki to  quickly teleport you back to the hotel so you could look for his clip. You hoped you didn't seem too upset, truthfully you knew why you were. You weren't oblivious and you weren't gonna pretend you didn't develop a small, maybe medium crush on the boy. You walked around the beach area where you were earlier, but there was no sign of the clip. You sighed, it was late and you didn't want to end up in trouble for being out after curfew. So you begrudgingly walked yourself back up into your room and relaxed in your futon. This trip hadn't been the best, you were alone for most of it or in a shitty mood. Not to mention your "newfound totally not big fat crash" feelings for your friend. You turned to your side and closed your eyes in frustration, before finally drifting to sleep.

your pov:

You woke up to your shared room completely empty. You quickly dressed yourself and ran downstairs.  Everyone was already gone, they seriously didn't do a headcount? You checked the time and figured you could just head to the beach early. You weren't sure why, but you felt obliged to look extra good today. You made sure to take time combing through your hair and fixing up your face. You weren't particularly keen on wearing basically nothing in front of your classmates but your dignity was a worthy sacrifice for time at the beach. You grabbed your necklace and clasped it onto your neck. Quickly grabbing your things you started your walk towards the beach. Surprisingly, everyone was already there when you arrived, a large crowd of people gathered around the changing rooms. While you missed most of the day, you decided that being able to change in privacy made up for it. You set your towel and bag down and walked towards the water.

"Where were you?"

You jumped in surprise. It was Saiki, of course, but you didn't expect him to actually speak to you.

"I slept in, no one woke me up."

You frowned, this school trip really was a drag.

"But hey! How was everything else" you didn't want to ruin something for him just cause you didn't have a good time.

"Exhausting. I'd rather have been sleeping."

You smiled at that. Despite his stoic nature, he really was good and making you smile. Maybe a little too good for your liking but you brushed that off. You noticed the crowd gawking at Teruhashi and felt the urge to leave.

"I'm gonna go walk around, see you later."

When you turned around, you missed the concerned look that flashed on his face and the way his eyes took in your form. You started to walk away before anyone else saw you. You quickly realized you didn't have very many friends at this school, nor did anyone want to be friends with you. Normally that's fine, spending school alone is no big deal, but spending almost your entire vacation alone was harsh. You decided that sleeping early was your best bet, you wouldn't have to think about all your woes and sorrows and you could get an early head-start for tomorrow. You didn't have any plans besides walking through the shopping centers, but you figured it was better to go early than later.

The night flew past you and soon you were awake. 6 AM was not your forte but you felt it would be worth it. You quickly got ready before heading out, today the class was exploring freely so there was no bus to catch or miss. As you walked out the door you heard your classmates start to enter the dining hall.

Once you got to the shopping center you basically just window shopped for hours. There was nothing particularly exciting besides some scams here and there that you did not want to participate in. You noticed there was a small cafe that had just opened for the day and you decided to wait there. You sat down and were met by one of the most amazing looking deserts you've ever seen. You ordered the dessert and waited excitedly. Soon enough, your order was placed in front of you and you started to drool. Who couldn't resist something like this? Almost makes the awful pit in your stomach go away! Unfortunately for you, your classmates entered and loudly sat at a table across the cafe. You couldn't decide if it was worse that they hadn't noticed you yet, or that they were bound to eventually. You curled into yourself, hoping a god would spare you from embarrassment and let you go unnoticed. The bell chimed as a new customer walked in, a familiar face you couldn't ignore. Of course, he would walk in and witness you sitting there alone, sulking while your "friends" sat at the other side of the room. You weren't usually someone who got embarrassed easily, but since your not-so-small realization about your friendship you've been flustered.

"Hey! We've been looking for you buddy!"

"Saiki! Here!"

"We haven't seen you all day!"

"Im surprised that you found this place."

Their voices rang out, you were almost jealous at how freely everyone talked to him. On the other hand, you knew he didn't think so fondly of it. You couldn't stand to sit here alone anymore, so you grabbed your dessert and walked towards the door.

"Oh i'm sorry! That table just got our last servings!"

You stopped in your place before the door and sighed. As much as you didn't want to face the growing pit in your stomach, you cared too deeply to just walk out and leave him. Swallowing your pride you approached Saiki.

"Take it."

You flushed, it came out more forceful than you meant it, you didn't mean to sound so aggressive. He stared at you blankly, expecting you to say something else.

"I haven't eaten any yet or used the spoon, you can have it."

He stared silently again, at this point you were starting to get angry. Not necessarily at him, more at the fact that you wanted to get out of the building and go wallow in loneliness somewhere else. He still only stared at you, the icy dessert starting to melt.

"Look, just take it-"

He gripped your wrist and dragged you to the two-seating table you were sitting at before. You were shocked to say the least, and you were lucky that only the tips of your ears shone pink. You sat the dessert down and slid it towards him, offering him the spoon as well. You don't think you've ever seen him so happy in your entire life. You've since forgotten about your classmates gossiping in the corner, your dooming loneliness, and the pit in your stomach. Only focused on the pink haired male in front of you. He was clearly happy, and you might be too just seeing what you did for him. It was like everything around you froze and he was the only thing that mattered.

Oh. Oh my god. You nearly goddamn lost it hearing yourself. What are you some high schooler with a crush??? Well maybe, but you couldn't even fathom that you just thought about him like that. God, you were so screwed. Your mental turmoil was interrupted by the unknowing culprit of your nightmares, nudging the spoon full of dessert towards your lips.

Mindlessly, you took a bite of the spoon from his hands. You...took a bite from his hands!! Something really was wrong with you! Your face basically lit up with flames. The only thing stopping you from dying right then and there was the fact he was too occupied with the dessert to notice. The worst part was you couldn't even be mad at yourself. This was basically a dream to some, though you were sure it wasn't meant to be romantic. You smiled to yourself and turned to the side, missing the slight pink tint on your companions cheeks.
