Triviality In Battle

Summary:

No matter what is thrown at Lloyd he always managed to pick himself up. Even when Pythor, someone he once trusted, left him he managed to keep going. Nothing was going to get in his way to follow his father's villainous footsteps.

Basically season 1 and 2 Lloyd but he's more menacing or at least tries to be.

Chapter 1: Never Trust a Snake

Chapter Text

At the roof of Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys..

So close to the edge of the roof, there was Lloyd, cornered. He saw Sensei Wu, Cole, Jay, Zane, and nya all watching him.

All of their eyes burning into him, holding a silence before Sensei Wu spoke to Lloyd. "Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon! You come here right now." Wu's staff hitted the tiles, shaking some of the tiles out of place. Lloyd slightly flinched back. He was wasn't ready to be done on his work to success. His gaze adverted to the edge of the roof behind him, seeing the distant, clear ground below. It became almost temping, temping to jump off. No, that's just being suicidal, but if done right he could escape and be left almost untouched. This idea hasn't been one of his smartest but desperate times called for desperate measures. He turned away from the Ninja. Lloyd began pulling up his sweat over his head. Under the sweater revealed his old, navy blue school uniform. With taking a deep breath, composing himself before Replying "I'd rather not uncle.. I'll be going else where..." Before Lloyd could do anything Cole interrupts him. "And where would you go?" He laughs "You're just a kid." Cole said mockingly. Lloyd starts stepping closer and closer to the edge, his feet almost ready to slide off. "I'd rather not spoil that, dear ninja! I'm the son of Garmadon I follow the danger! Or something" He mutter the last part quietly.

Lloyd chuckles as he jumps of the roof, gripping the sleeves of his sweater. The body of the sweater hovered over his head as he falls. As he attempted to use his sweater as a parachute. Everyone ran to the edge where Lloyd jumped off. They watched him quickly fall to the ground, he screamed as he fell. His screams ended with a low thud. Lloyd's attempt of a parachute failed. "Is he okay?.." Jay asked, concerned. Approaching the edge, along side Jay was Cole. "You nucklehead" Cole slightly hits the back of Jay's head. Jay's head moved slightly down. "You could of grabbed him, you were closest to him!" Jay turned his head to Cole "How was just supposed to know he'd jump off the flipping roof?!" Jay snapped at him. Cole shrugged his shoulders. "Guys you should go get Lloyd.." Nya muttered as she points where Lloyd landed. "He isn't  going to move, it sounded like he hit the ground pretty hard.." Cole looks at were Lloyd once was on the grassy ground. "Damn, that kid really doesn't give up." They see Lloyd limping as he walked weakly away.

Crackling chains hitting were heard, as Kai finally climbed up the chains of the anchor and out of the hole made from the destiny's bounty anchor. He runs up to every one by the edge of the roof. "What did I miss!.. wheres the kid, Lloyd?" "He jumped off the roof, and ran off." Zane said, pointing down below the edge. "Well what are still we doing here! We have to get him!" Kai shouted, turned around to see Wu still standingin the same spot. "No, we have bigger problems. Pythor has the map." Wu interrupts pointing his staff at kai.

"Map? What map?" Kai asked, walking closer to Wu. "It's better to explain in the bounty, come along now. All of you." Wu responded before turing around and walking to the bounty. The ninja followed Wu, well all except Kai. For a moment he stood there his thoughts trying to piece up a sentence. "Wait what about the kid, he's still out there! He's the son of Garmadon, what if he causes chaos?" Kai exclaimed, his arms stretched out wide showing his concern and confusion. Everyone looked at Kai. "Uh, Kai, do we need to remind you that he's just a kid, he got no snakes to help him this time." Cole commented, approaching Kai. "Yeah! Plus we can just leave it to the police to find him!" Jay added standing beside Cole, attemptingto change the mood. Kai looked at all of them, he couldn't believe that they would let the child of Garmadon roam the lands of Ninjago freely. Kai sighed, he knew better then to argue with his Sensei and team. He slowly walked to the bounty with the rest.

The destiny's bounty soared in the wind, the sound of the wind could be heard within the bounty, vibrating the bounty.

"The map Pythor took from Lloyd was the map of the five snake tribes tombs. As we know Lloyd has opened 3 of them now, so that means Pythor plans to open the last two." Wu spoke seriously, letting his words slightly echo. Then leaving a silence for questions. "Quick question Sensei!" Jay raised his hand. "Why are the tombs of a ancient snake tribe opening so important?" Jay exclaimed hoping for a simple answer. Wu slightly sighed, before Wu could respond Kai interrupts. "Jay, we fought against some of the snake tribes. I think you should understand why it would be bad to open more of the tombs!" Kai answered, slightly jumping up from where he sat on the floor.

Jay nervously chuckles. "Oh yeah." He answered back. Kai angrily watched Jay frustrated with him, and his 'stupidity'. "As I was saying. If Pythor opens the last two tombs who knows what's happening over Ninjago." Wu Spoke, the seriousness in his voice grew. "We're all well aware, but what about the kid?" Kai exclaimed generally curious about Lloyd and his whereabouts. The room was silent for a while. Cole interrupts the silence that was created. "Kai, why are you so fixated on Lloyd, he's just a kid he wouldn't be able to cause real harm by himself." Cole got closer to Kai placing a hand on his shoulder and giving it a gentle, comforting squeeze. Kai sighed, Cole was right he was fixated on the kid and of the nonexistent harm he could cause. "Yeah but he's the son of Garmadon." Kai muttered out loudly. "Don't you think you're pushing the family relationships that Garmadon has a bit to far? That's like saying Sensei gonna turn evil because he's the brother of Garmadon." Nya said as she joined the conversation.

Kai knew that they were all right, he was just jumping conclusions, making things up. But some stood out about that kid that he just couldn't quite put his finger on. It was probably just that the kid was all alone, or the way his red eyes just looked at his hazel eyes. Or maybe there was more to the kid then anyone knew.

"Yeah you guys are right. It's just I feel like there's something going on with that kid that we don't know about!" Kai got up from where he sat, now standing he spoke. Everyone looked at Kai, they were honestly confused on why Kai thought that. He could also hear them judging him. "Either way, Lloyd has to be found but that's not our main worry." Wu said changing the topic slightly. "I know Sensei but-" Kai exclaimed but Wu interrupts him. "Lloyd isn't the main problem as of now. As much I want to find my nephew and help him. We have to focus on Pythor, and what his plan might be."

----- ☆ -----

The cracking of sticks were like fire crackers under his feet as he ran. The forest floor was covered in sticks, colorful leaves, decaying life, like plants and the occasional animal corpse. His pants and gasps for air were loud in the peaceful forest. As he running began to slow down until he fully stopped, he fell to his knees. "Stupid ninja, stupid snakes." Lloyd muttered to himself feeling the forest floor under his fingertips. He sat on the ground catching his breath. The ninja ruined yet another one of his plans and left him with little dignity. It was stupid to think his sweater could act as a parachute, but he's payed the price of his actions with the consequence of a aching body.

Soon his breathing was normal, he stood back up. Lloyd ran farther then he thought he would, at Darkley's he barely could see the trees that made up the forest he was in. "Wait.." Lloyd blurted out. He didn't know which way he came from. Every direction looked the same, the gross forest floor under the grass attempts to cover it, with the flared out trees covering the bits of open sky. He gripped one of his sweater sleeves, which he still haven't put back on. The forest got his sweater all dirty, was he really going to wear such a dirty thing? He wouldn't, would he? Before he could really make up a answer he put his sweater on. Tracing his hands to feel the familiar sprayed on rib cage on the sweater Lloyd began to lost himself in thought.

Disorientation, he lost himself in his mind. Sometimes the oddest thing remindedhim of a dream he has, he have it almost every night. In that dream, he was shorter and his hair touched his shoulders. The clothes he wore were different, no uniform or his sweater it was like a outfit for a younger boy. It was just a simple dinosaur themed shirt paired with jeans. And there was woman standing next to him, holding his smaller hand. The woman was tall, with long burnette hair that was fading into a light gray as it was stylized into a long braid. Her outfit looked like typical archaeologist Halloween costume paired with a green neck scarf. Such a odd choice of clothes. But something about that woman felt familiar..

No, no, no. He had to get back to reality. He was in a middle of a forest for crying out loud! He had to leave, but how? It would just seem smart enough to just continue walking, well for Lloyd at least.
